‘Always. For all of eternity’
Oliver tried all he could, but just as everything in life has an end, even the dead have a conclusion.
It doesn’t feel like their sanctuary when Merrick returns. It feels the opposite of safe, cold and lonely and dangerous. The destruction of her home doesn’t ease any nerves in the process. Hung photos have fallen to the floor and shattered, her piano tumbled over and missing multiple keys, and although the room is devoid of any inner or outside light, the slashes and punctures of the walls are still visible.
There’s a flash of movement that seems to come from inside the walls. That would be ridiculous though, right?
The front door shuts aggressively behind her and locks itself. A gust of wind just a touch too strong to have been from the door brushes against her back, like a foreign yet familiar feeling. A forgotten sensation.
A sound breaks the silence from above her, and there’s a pitch black spot that seems darker than the regular black of the room. Blown wide and unwavering, a white glowing gaze pierces past her physical being and searches, learns the very patterns of her mind and soul.
Oliver is no where to be sensed.
maria.
Even though Merrick is fully and unequivocally in control of herself, there have been a few times when she still hears it; Violet. A snide remark here and there, a taunting comment. Easily ignored and nothing more than a gnat in her ear. Never the warning that she hears as she approaches the doorstep.
leave. now.
Surprising that it would warn her, probably out of self-preservation of whatever is left of it. And she doesn't listen as she hastily enters the house. The complete lack of warmth and life is enough for her to gasp as she looks around. Most possessions can be replaced, and those that couldn't, it didn't matter. Other things could be repaired, but who cares? All that matters is Oliver, and why couldn't she sense him at all?
As the door slams shut behind her, the last shred of her control dissolves, and her more monstrous features take hold quickly enough to make her wince. Then she hears it above; the thing decided to darken her doorstep again, after all.
Vibrant purple eyes glare into glowing white as she stares up at it, trying to sense Oliver anywhere, anywhere...
Nothing. She refused to believe.
Hearing the old name is an annoyance, and she wouldn't be swayed. "Thing. What have you done with him?"

So happy to finally show off my final piece for the Tome of Pacts zine I feature in.
This is Hagne, the Herald of Rot, and faithful servant to her Patron, Cicardia. Her look was inspired by several things -- death masks, pomegranates, worn bronze, flies and centipedes. The butterflies she carries feed on death and decay. Hagne herself felt the cold embrace of the grave, but was blessed to find herself given another chance. She will not fail.
I am so honored to have been a part of this project, and this is one of my favorite pieces to date. I hope you guys enjoy it as well. :)

The scarest thing about Nandor being actually smart in all things Guillermo is that this is the reason why he'll never make the move to be with him:
Nandor already knows how he feels about Guillermo.
He's not even repressing it. He's just made peace with it. Because Guillermo was never an option.
Guillermo is human. He'll choose to stay human. He's fleeting. He'll always leave in some form or fashion. Nandor doesn’t choose to act on his feelings for Guillermo for the same reason why he never turned him. It would just be a curse.

The lighting in the S1 1941 flashback is so painfully dark I was rewatching it on a 150% brightness and perhaps I am five years late, but how come I've never noticed that this

is how Aziraphale gazes at Crowley before the "little demonic miracle of my own"???
This is him before the love realisation, just after Aziraphale miracled them both safe from the bomb exploding on the church with the Nazis. No heartwarming acts of service yet — best to his knowledge, Crowley was only there for moral support, because he "didn't want him to get embarassed". And his gaze is— I don't know what to say. Like it would kill him to look away. So fond, so immersed, "oh God, there you are", like hundreds of years have passed, not decades since they saw each other last. Books? What books? What air raid, what war?
Arguably the best part of the scene happens literal seconds after. If you pay close attention to the whole shot, you'll spot the brown satchel on the side. Which Aziraphale would notice earlier too, if he could focus on anything other than Crowley.

Steph's Year of Recovery
So! Danny noticed that a new face had made it's way into town. Two new faces actually, an older lady known as Dr Leslie, and a girl about his age called Steph.
He first met them when he was at the hospital for one of his parents. They had stood too close to an explosion again, and he met them while he was in the waiting Area.
Dr Leslie was a strict but obviously caring older woman, who seemed to be the one taking care of Steph as a kind of maternal figure, or maybe more like an Aunt. She greeted him simply and then walked away to talk with the Secretary, leaving him to talk to Steph.
Steph was a blond girl in a Wheelchair, and he could see bandages piking out of her clothes as he talked to her. She explained that she had been in an Accident a few weeks ago that left her wheelchair bound for a while, and that she had come to Amity for their surprisingly good Medical Centers.
He and Steph got along really well, and by the end of it he asked her for her Number so they could continue talking later. They stayed in touch, and when she was finally permitted to leave the Hospital, he introduced her to his friends. They all got along like a House on Fire, both figuratively and in one memorable case very literally (Vlad had pissed them off okay!)
Eventually Steph recovered enough that she moved from a Wheelchair to Crutches, and their shenanigans got even more chaotic (Vlad hadn't even pissed them off, this time was just for fun)
The only thing Danny could complain about was the fact that Steph was hiding something from them.
She said that she had been in an Accident a while ago, which was why they had come to Amity in the first place. But Danny knew it was more than that.
He could sense lingering traces of Death coming from her after all.
...
Steph honestly loved her current life.
Sure she had lost everything, her home, her health, her friends, her life, but she had gained new things too! Like Danny and the Gang! They were honestly some of the best friends she had ever had, and for some reason they just clicked with her instantly.
Danny was interesting and funny, Sam was vegan and a badass, Tucker was smart and witty, they all fit with her personality perfectly! It almost felt like she bad been friends with them for years. (She ignored the way her heart skipped a beat when she saw them)
But she still couldn't shake the sense that they were hiding something from her.
She knew it had something to do with the Ghost Problem in the town. And wasn't that a kicker, there was a whole Supernatural Ghost Outbreak in this Town and nobody knew about it. Dr Leslie had said that Amity was off the map enough to hide from Bruce, but she hadn't mentioned it was hidden from the Justice League itself!
Danny, Sam, and Tucker definitely knew more about it than they let on however. Whenever a Ghost Attack would happen, at least one of them would rush off with some practiced excuse and return after the Ghost Attack was over all dirty. She could guess what was going on, and she really didn't like it.
(This had killed her, she had died doing what they were doing, she didn't want to lose them)
Eventually she had to confront them, coincidentally on the same day they decided to confront her.
"Are you Vigilantes?" / "Did you die?"
"..."
"What?" / "What?"

Jason Todd is stealing the tires off of the Batmobile, when a man walks up on him doing it.
The man stares at him, nods, and just says "I'll keep a look out, man, go go go!"
So Jason does, and he gets all four tires with the man's help.
The man introduces himself as Danny Foley, and asks Jason if he wants to go get some burgers.
Danny, meanwhile, has decided that yes. This is the child he will adopt. He just has to convince the kid of that.
Batman has to call in Alfred to bring around his backup vehicle with spare tires, and little Timmy gets some wonderful shots of Batman having to replace his own tires.

On the idea of Theseus's Ship: in the end, it's still his, isn't it? It was known as Theseus's, and it will continue to be known as Theseus's.
Even after he has returned to the ground which grew the wood of the hammer used to nail the ship's frame, Even after generations of new wood have rotted and the sails are rags clinging to threads, Even after millennia,
it will still be Theseus's Ship.
Thank you for bringing us home.
Goodnight, Phosphophyllite.

Twitter users saying this little old guy from the credits is Armin disturbed my peace of mind (there wasn't)
Tumblr media
He could be just a random man, but following the theory, this is him visiting Eren and Mikasa's grave, Mikasa was buried next to Eren, and Armin would be the last one to reach the tree, just like when they were kids.
It also makes me think about the "out of his friends, Armin will be the last one to die" headcanon, waiting for the rest to end the long lives Eren wanted for them.
Anyway, I'm rotting here in my sadness, join me.

i’ll find you again in every universe. let us be a little more honest, let us have a little more time.
#vashwood#vash the stampede#nicholas d wolfwood#trigun#despite it all though badlands rumble is like. the only universe where we get wolfwood thinking vash died first... and i think that means a#lot to their relationship and how it may bloom if there was more to badlands rumble considering vash literally saw wolfwood carrying a piece#of vash after his supposed death. u know! despite the short time they were together vash still meant so much to wolfwood that he couldn't#just move on or forget him in anyway. needed to keep a piece of him for himself and the rest of his days. but ofc vash lives and wolfwood#was like ill beat ur fucking ass into tomorrow. there's just so much honesty in vash being able to see that gesture bc he wouldnt know#otherwise just how much he might mean to him. ANYWAY. trimax with with the eternal pining featuring the two chapters where imo#where the both of them really fell for each other... i wrote my thoughts about this on another comic i did before#but vash solidifying his feelings during the hospital arc -- ww solidifies his when he realizes his allegiances are permanently with vash#98 my lovelies but also to me they are so one-sided bc ww pined like no tomorrow and vash only realizes after ep 23?24? his heart did tickle#whenever ww complimented his smile though#and tristamp vw my beloveds. it really just feels like they get the  chance to be closer and closer and more honest with each other#with every version that comes about. in trimax they knew how little time they had but struggled so desperately to get closer. in 98 ww felt#more willing to forsake for vash. in badlands rumble theyre Angry but as mentioned earlier ^ more blatant truth... due to circumstances#mainly but has the chance to lead to discussions and tristamp literally. first day of knowing each other ww saves vash - 2 days later vash#saves ww like. Man. AND NOW THEY MAY POTENTIALLY GET EVEN CLOSER!!!! with s2....#ruporas art
