The affronted tone with which Aziraphale asks where Furfur got the bullet catch booklet, because it's only available to Working Professional Magicians, is so funny. His worst fears have just been realized, a demon has shown up to arrest his husband, but he can still take a moment to be offended on behalf of his fake profession that important trade secrets have fallen into the wrong hands.

I love the joy of this scene. It’s one of the rare times where Crowley seems childlike after the fall.
Bonus: Aziraphale’s reaction 😂

this moment will never fail to crack me up. old as a whole-ass world demon managed to look like a gangly 12-year-old schoolboy from the 40s who's trying to read up on his mate's notes before getting brutally called to answer in front of the class. and u can see his heart stop but he has an aloof and cool persona to mantain, hence the glasses. godspeed(?) little soldier. don't trip on your way there btw your crush is watching from the first row

I wrote out how to watch Good Omens in chronological order if for some reason you wanted to do that.
I miss-typed for hell in the 1970s. It’s supposed to be Episode 5 21:27 - 22:26
Edit: I’ve made a Youtube Playlist with this all recorded and put into order, it took me a week of solid work but I got there. The link is in the pinned post on my profile and is in my bio.

Something about Crowley pulling more money out of Aziraphale's wallet and putting it on the counter while Aziraphale just stands there looking bemused always makes me giggle.

Crowley using the evidence envelope as a frame for the photo for a moment before passing it to Aziraphale.
Tumblr media
He looks at it for all of 15 seconds and that's what he did. He put the picture of them in a little frame in his hand for a moment, like how he could do with an actual frame if they weren't a secret, if they could be people with photos of themselves openly in a little place they have and not just this one in an evidence envelope that was taken by the guy who is trying to get them killed over it.
That is the saddest, most adorable...

People like 1941 Aziraphale and Crowley so much because thats the one moment in time they were both the most like themselves that they could be and ever have been.
Crowley was an openly goofy, supportive, heart-eyed boyfriend and Aziraphale was a campy, doofy and flirty idiot.
This is how i imagine they'll be when they've finally sorted everything out

The lighting in the S1 1941 flashback is so painfully dark I was rewatching it on a 150% brightness and perhaps I am five years late, but how come I've never noticed that this
Tumblr media
is how Aziraphale gazes at Crowley before the "little demonic miracle of my own"???
This is him before the love realisation, just after Aziraphale miracled them both safe from the bomb exploding on the church with the Nazis. No heartwarming acts of service yet — best to his knowledge, Crowley was only there for moral support, because he "didn't want him to get embarassed". And his gaze is— I don't know what to say. Like it would kill him to look away. So fond, so immersed, "oh God, there you are", like hundreds of years have passed, not decades since they saw each other last. Books? What books? What air raid, what war?
Arguably the best part of the scene happens literal seconds after. If you pay close attention to the whole shot, you'll spot the brown satchel on the side. Which Aziraphale would notice earlier too, if he could focus on anything other than Crowley.
