Week 3: Haiku Challenge
Write a haiku and include it in your microfic. Haikus are 17-syllable poems written in a 5/7/5 syllable count.
This challenge can be combined with @hp-poetry-fest which we highly recommend checking out!!!
Examples
I'm bemused at the
familiarity with
which you greet others;
a beaming smile here,
a warm wave there. But I'm glad
you do, or how else
could I have gone from
shy, confused, but pleased stranger
to "your precious love"?

A haiku, from Draco to Harry:
Dat ass though, it is
firmly the most gorgeous ass
to ever exist.
Draco shakes his head and crosses out the first draft. Something isn’t right.
Your backside, it is
plumper than peaches, sweeter
than honey. Lovely.
Hmm… nope. Something is still missing. Draco crumbles the piece of parchment and tosses it carelessly on the ground.
Your arse is perfect;
I cannot live without it.
Please, sit on my face.
Oh, yes. Perfect. Draco attaches it to his owl’s leg and sends it on its way.
Now all he has to do is wait.

I’m a bit tired and burned out, so no Haiku from me today—I promise I’ll catch up and post my contribution another day.
But my 9 year old daughter, who loves the (heavily abridged) Sandman, too, has been sitting with me for the past two weeks and loved the idea. She was itching to contribute from day one, and this was her chance. Honestly, I’m so impressed, I don’t think I can improve on this.
So here is Angelpaws’ (her choice of pseud) contribution for today, no help whatsoever:
The ruby fades—go!
Reborn as an emerald.
Goodbye Morpheus.

For the writing asks meme: 40!!! and maybe also 29, 2, and ummm 33? Please and thank you 💕
2. Anything you'd like to write that you feel like you'd be unable to?
Long, plotty fic in general. Every once in a great while I'll manage both the inspiration and the discipline to pull it off, but it doesn't come easily to me.
Also, while I love reading trope-y romcom fic, I am mostly unable to write it because I get hung up on the logistics.
29. What's the hardest thing about writing?
Answered here!
33. Give your writing a compliment
I think I'm generally pretty good at capturing character voices in dialogue.
40. Write a 9-word fic
Lightning cracks the sky and Eddie's heart at once.

Inktober/Drawtober Day 10: Fortune Possessed 🔮 🧿
We’ve got a little “bonus” challenge here—A Haiku for "Haikuesday" 😃
Definitely not my strongest format, but I did want something a little shorter today & it’s a simple way to shake things up!
If you want to know more, DeviantArt gives me way more characters for my thoughts:
