Jackson was one of my awakenings back in the day, when Teen Wolf only had one season. Everyone say thank you Jackson, without him, this blog probably wouldn’t have existed.

I couldn’t narrow it down to just one kink, so this is just kind of an overall nsfw hc thing. Hope that’s still good tho.

Jackson is submissive, I don’t wanna hear it. That man turned into a lizard whose whole thing was being told what to do, he definitely likes being ordered around in the bedroom and treated like he’s lesser.

I think he is also extremely touch starved, the kind of guy to melt into your hand if you were to cradle his cheek into your palm. When you run your fingers through his hair when he’s going down on you, he purrs loudly, and his eyes almost roll back because of it.

He uses the tail, I’m sorry. He would use it to pull you close or wrap around you when he has his moments where he’s feeling bratty or dominant, or just wants your attention.

Jackson has some kind of daddy, sir, or alpha kink. Even if you aren’t a werewolf or a supernatural being, he still loves when you push him down and he can wail for his alpha into his pillows, that alpha being you of course.

Body worship, please massage him after lacrosse or just a long day. Like cover your hands in oil and give him a thorough rubdown. Pay special attention to his pecs and upper arms, really press into the muscle. It’ll leave him a whimpering whining mess.

He would try to hard to be good, to not move because you told him to stay still, but it feels so good he can’t help bucking his hips. The bed has deep claw marks afterwards from where he was gripping it.

Oral fixation, so much oral fixation. For a guy who loves to talk so much, he would most likely love to have his mouth stuffed. Because of him being part kanima, his tongue is longer and more flexible than the average person, take that as you will.

Marking kink. Wants you to bite him all over but also wants to bite you. That of course isn’t the best idea if you aren’t a supernatural being of your own, since his teeth can get pretty sharp, and he bites down pretty damn hard.

Loves when you rough him up and overpower him, it puts the beast in his chest to rest when he can feel and see just how much power you have over him. It always leaves him a writhing purring mess, his eyes flashing between blue and the kanima lizard eyes.

Has most likely had fantasies of getting your initials or even your entire name tattooed, like some kind of branding fantasy. Its that little part of his brain that wants to belong to you forever. He hasn’t gotten it done, but it doesn’t stop him from jerking off to the thought of it.

Ends up getting a necklace or maybe a bracelet or ring with your initials instead, just to curb the urge a little.

Stays at your house more than his own, and if you guys already live together that’s even better. Expect a lap full of lizard werewolf who will always want your attention.

Expect him also to walk around in very little clothes. Jackson knows he looks good and will use it to his advantage to get what he wants.

As much as Jackson loves to be roughed up and ordered around, he also has his moments where he just wants to be held and made love too instead.

He deals with a lot of insecurity, and just wants you to show him you truly do care for him and want him in your life. He will have moments where he will lay on your chest and silently cry, asking you in a small voice if you truly do love him.

This either ends up with you just comforting him and telling him that of course you love him. Or it ends up with Jackson on his back, his legs around your waist, as you make love to him, muttering all kinds of compliments and praise.

The praise gets him mushier faster than anything else, and always leaves him a gasping blabbering mess, begging for more and saying he loves you over and over.

Because of this, you are one of the few people his wolf and kanima self submits too, no questions asked. This also means that when he’s going through heat, you will be the person he comes too. Hed rather die than go to anyone else, only wanting you.

During his heats he wants you to top like always, and if you arent a werewolf yourself or something like it, you better have toys to distract him, because he will wring you so dry you will be crawling out of there.

After hes left your legs completely useless after riding you for hours though, he will cuddle against your chest and purr so loud it would vibrate the entire bed.

Hes just completely smitten and its honestly gross just how much he loves you, and how he would find a way to stop the world from turning if you asked him too.

I just cracked the 200k with How wrong you are! :D

What fandoms do you write for?

Currently mostly (like, 99% of the time) Teen Wolf, though I do dabble in Assassin's Creed (Desmond lives!!!!!) and sometimes I post original stuff.

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ouf, that's a hard question? I don't like to end stuff angsty - I need my happy endings. So I think currently the angstiest is probably Dead on Time bc of a slight cliffhanger/foreshadowing thingie for the next parts?

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I have literally no idea o_O... As I said before I do like to end on happy endings (or at least something intriguing and hopeful) so I'd say most of my stories have the same kind of happy ending?

Do you get hate on fics?

Luckily not yet! Usually most people mean well and are nice even if they sometimes phrase their words weird. I did get a (for me) lot of comments asking if I abbandoned a certain fic, though, which rankled and baffled me the same way?

It's The little things, which is currently on Hiatus bc I had to concentrate on the Secret Santa I wrote at the time and I decided that I would chance my MO and try to finish the story before I would return to posting chapters! Because the pressure of writing and posting (and not being able to do so) in a certain time frame was burning me out!

So, just for the record: None of my fics/WIPs are abbandoned! If they were I'd write it in the author's notes and/or tag them as such!

Do you write smut?

No!

Craziest crossover:

Probably Hello World, which is currently just the first chapter/more like a prologue because I had too many WIPs at the time and decided to concentrate on other stories.

It's supposed to be a Murderbot Crossover where Peter's a technician/programmer on the ship the Hales own and who makes an AI he's programmed and called Stiles (who got messed up by a virus) into a construct that's learning how to live.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not as far as I know! Knock on wood and all that!

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Not by other people! But I do translate my own stuff! I started with writing in my first language (German) and translated my stuff to english, though by now I mostly write english. So if someone wants to read something in German, they can just ask (nicely) and I see that I'll get the story translated!

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

not really, no.

All time favourite ship?

I can't really answer that question 😂 I love all the ships I love forever 😂 Even from the fandom that shouldn't be named, I still love the same ships I've loved for years.

But I'll say that Steter has a special place in my heart, since I mostly write them?

What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I don't think I currently have a Wip like that?

What are your writing strengths?

I'm good with knitting plot points together and explaining inconsistencies away 😂 Also I do think I'm good at getting a certain vibe across and I have good ideas

What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm not good with descriptions - especially when it's about facial expressions or emotions! Also I think I tend to soften the edges of the characters I write - or at least it feels like I do that!

Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

Depends on how the author's using it? I'm not entirely against it and as long as I get either a translation (i.e. with a foot note or because the character translates the words or at least their meaning), it's a generally known phrase (like Alea iacta est) or you can interpret it by context clues, I'm okay with it! It actually makes me want to dive back into learning more languages, to I'd say that's a plus 😂

First fandom you wrote in?

Vision of Escaflowne! It was a Mary Sue-ish self-insert and is lost to time and me clumsily stumbling over and thus crashing the external harddrive it was saved on 😂 I'm both sad and glad about that 😂😂

Favorite fic you've written?

Aaand ending with a really hard question, I see 😂😂

uuh... I do love most of my stuff, but for some reason one of the shorter ones, No Love Letters, has a special place in my heart? :3 I do like the whole scene - even if it isn't much more! 😂

On AO3 specifically, seven fandoms: The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, Kissing in the Rain, Green Gables Fables, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Rogue One, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Cloak and Dagger.

The first four are all Spider-Man: Homecoming; the last is the Anne/Gilbert fake dating AU I wrote for Green Gables Fables a million years ago.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Listen. I am fundamentally a wimp, so I tend to avoid writing angst because it scares me and I always feel like it’ll turn into melodrama. Having said that, the first chapter in the nothing in the world so well as you collection might win this title on a technicality because I unwittingly predicted one of the sadder moments in No Way Home.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I am always all about the happy/hopeful endings, frankly, but if I had to choose between them, I think I’d go for parks and rebellion. It’s not overtly romantic or anything, but I just feel like it holds so much hope and promise for the future, and I am always emotional about people finding themselves a home and allowing themselves to be still.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

Sort of? I’ve been referring to by land, by sea, by dirigible as “the C&D crossover” the entire time I’ve been planning/writing it, but since Cloak and Dagger and TFATWS are both within the MCU, I’m not sure whether that counts?

I did, however, back in the day, write @compactpersian some birthday fics that crossed over Warehouse 13 with Doctor Who, Veronica Mars, and Elementary (although not all at the same time.) They’re buried somewhere on this blog tho and definitely not on AO3 so good luck finding them.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Nope, but that’s less because I have anything against it and more because writing that stuff well is very very difficult and not a skill I have.

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

Yes! I’m always so heartwarmed when someone takes a beat to leave a comment on something I wrote and I want people to know that I appreciate it. I try my best to get to them all, but sometimes on older fics, they sort of fall by the wayside and I do feel a little bad about that.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Back when I wrote Peter/MJ fic, I would sometimes get annoying comments from people who were clearly just looking for an excuse to shit on Michelle as a character, but those were pretty promptly deleted and it wasn’t really an issue.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Thankfully, no!

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope, but if anyone wants to, they’re welcome to get in touch!

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I don’t co-write, necessarily, but I have a select few trusted friends with whom I can freely riff on fic concepts or AUs and their input is always invaluable. (Technically, nothing in the world so well as you is co-written, but in that case, my friend and I traded off writing one-shots, so that hardly counts.)

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Obligatory shoutout to Sam/Bucky for spurring me to write fic after a nearly four year hiatus and to Anne Shirley/Gilbert Blythe for being effervescent in every universe, but I think the answer has to be Jyn/Cassian. It’s part of the bedrock upon which I bonded with my best friend, so I can’t imagine anything taking its place anytime soon.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

The modern Musketeers AU that features Porthos and Elodie in a marriage of convenience! It is very dear to me but there are so many moving parts that I think it’ll only ever live in my heart and messages with my friends.

What are your writing strengths?

My go-to answer is that I’m good at making the world of a story feel lived-in, but I’ve also been told that I have a knack for throwing in little details in body language or other bits of narration that open out the characters more or reveal something about their dynamics, and if I manage that one consistently, I’ll be a happy girl.

What are your writing weaknesses?

One day, my final sentences will be something other than just the place where the writing stops, but it is not this day.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

It’s tricksy and I really admire authors who can do it naturally. I’m always wary of throwing in languages I don’t speak, because of how sketchy Google translate can be, and the ones that I speak aside from English just haven’t come up organically in any fics I’ve written.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

I posted a Chuck fic on FFN in the wake of the series finale, but I’m sure I’d dabbled-but-never-posted in fics for different fandoms before that.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

At the moment, it’s by land, by sea, by dirigible, both because it’s a WIP that I’m actually on track to finish after years of fic based commitment issues and because, thanks to it slowly simmering over the course of a whole year, I have accidentally put my whole entire soul into it and I hope it shows.

Author's Note: The story is told from MALIA'S POINT OF VIEW.

Chapter Summary: After a tragedy strikes Werecoyote, Malia Tate, she and the world of the supernatural are introduced to the best detective in New York

"Oh!, My bad", had been Malia's response to bumping into a stranger. She bent down to pick up the garage store items now littered on the floor. As their faces drew level, she noticed the golden police badge and uniform. "Working late, huh?", She said as she handed over the groceries.

"Mm? Oh, about to head back to the station actually, I'm *your name* by the way, detective *your name*", The stranger said In a formal introduction. "Malia", she replied, offering her hand, to which *your name* returned.

"I think I've got everything, Babe", Scott, Malia's alpha says, joining the conversation. Scott looks inquisitively between Malia and the stranger. Malia pokes her head forward and introduces them, "Oh; this is *your name*, we just bumped into each other". A wide smile forms on *your name*'s face as they shake hands and introduce themselves.

As *your name* leaves the store, Scott turns to Malia, "You go ahead and get cleaned up, I'm gonna get some beers, they don't sell any here". "Okay, but be safe", she says, protectively. Scott laughs; "I'm an alpha, I can handle myself". Malia steals a kiss, then proceeds to walk back to their apartment.

A FEW HOURS LATER...

Lydia knocks on Malia's door. "Sorry, Lydia I don't have time, Scott went out to get beers and hasn't been home in hours, I'm going to find--"

"Malia, sit down", she says, tears beginning to swell in her eyes. Malia looks at her sceptically, before moving over to the couch. "Lydia... what's wrong?" She says, as a look of concern falls on her face. Lydia sits next to her, trying to find the right words ;or any words for that matter. "... It's Scott". She responds. Malia's eyes grow In size as she takes in her words. "That's... that's good right? So you've heard from--"

"Scott is dead".

Lydia spits out the words in one quick breath, trying to rip the bandage off. Her voice cracks in horror as she utters the "D" word. Malia stares at her in disbelief, not accepting her words, refusing to believe the love of her life, the alpha that turned her into a human after she lost hope in herself ... Is gone.

"N-n-no... No that's... You're wrong". A tear falls down Malia's face as she tries her hardest not to believe it. Lydia swallows; "I'm sorry, Malia...But--"

Before she could finish her sentence, Malia's phone buzzes in her pocket; "LOOK, IT'S SCOTT", Malia says in disbelief, sliding the green phone Icon with her thumb; "Hello!?" She says, full of hope. "Hi...is this Malia Tate?", a man by the name Bobby Johnson responds. Malia's expression falls to one of grief as she answers, "Yeah... This is she". Lydia watches on as Bobby proceeds to state things such as an address, a time, names... But finally; asks Malia to come down to identify the body. She overhears the final moments of their conversation, "Yeah...Hmm... Ok...I'm on my way". Malia lifts her head to Lydia before Inhaling deeply and throwing on her jacket. "... I have to see it for myself... And I have to do this alone". She wipes the tears from her eyes before seeing Lydia out and rushing to the scene.

Malia gets out of a taxi, throwing a couple dollars to the driver as she sprints to the scene, anxiety taking control of her as a pit forms in her stomach. She rushes into a crowded crime scene, noticing the name of the road - "Smile Rd." .Pushing past people in an effort to get to the front. "You Malia?", A young, slightly stubbled man calls out to her. "You Bobby?" She asks in response. Bobby walks forward professionaly to shake Malia's hand, "You sure you can do this?", He asked, concerned. Malia's face is plastered with a faraway gaze, as she stares out into the silent night, Illuminated by its noisy surroundings. "Wouldn't be the first time I've had to face something like this". She answers. "... I'm sorry to hear that", Bobby adds.

They walk over to the crux of the crime scene, black and yellow tape warding off areas, chalk markings made across the floor, Malia felt like she was living in an episode of CSI. The next few minutes were the hardest moments of Malia's life, her parent's deaths haunted her...but the next three questions...they broke her...

"This phone had you saved as an emergency contact, can you confirm this phone belonged to Scott?"

"...Yes".

Malia pondered over the heavy machinery pulling a beyond saving vehicle from the depths of a waterfall, "Does this car belong to you?"

"...Yes".

And then, it happened, hell froze over, Heaven fell down, the world collapsed...they began pulling a body out of the car and onto a stretcher...not moving, covered in blood... Head smashed in. Bobby put a sympathetic hand on Malia's shoulder. "Malia; Is this Scott?"

"Y...y...y-yes".

And as the words left Malia's mouth, tears ran down her face like a river as she fell onto her knees upon the stone covered surface of the earth that seemed so cruel right now. Malia laid there, unable to think or move

10 minutes later, Malia hears a loud commotion coming from the wreckage. "What's all this about?" She asks Bobby "Ms. Tate, it seems my partner has found something; Uh, this is Detective--", Malia cuts Bobby's reply short.

"*your name*!?", Malia shouts out, slightly Louder than usual, as she recognises the detective. *Your name* sees Malia approach the scene, "Oh my god... Malia?... I-I had no idea". Bobby looks between *your name* and Malia, full of questions. "You two know each other?", He asks. "We just bumped into each other at the garage", She explains, "small world", she adds on, trying to force a small chuckle.

"Anyway, what'd you find?", She asks, wiping away her tears. *Your name* looks expectingly at Bobby, not sure how to show this to Her. "Malia... Did you know where Scott was going?" ,*Your name* asks in a concerned tone. Malia sniffles, "Umm, yeah...to get beers". A sympathetic look washes over the detective's face as the three of them walk to the wreckage. Bobby opens the back door, to show Malia seven empty beer bottles scattered all over. *Your name* walks over to the passenger side door, to reveal another three, lying next to two six-pack holsters, one empty, one with two beers left in it.

*your name* and Bobby look at Malia in a sorrowful way. "No-no...Scott wouldn't...that doesn't ma--", She struggles to find her words, she looks around the crime scene as her heart starts beating inevitably faster and her vision blurs. *Your name* steps forward and grabs Malia by her shoulders, "You can't be here, not now". Malia eventually finds her footing, her breathing is heavy as she gasps for air. "Let me walk you home", the detective offers. She nods her head, frowning. They walk slowly to Malia's apartment in silence

Inside Malia's apartment, *your name* sits on the couch, at best, trying to give Malia her space. She grumpily throws off her flannel shirt, before she can reach for a fresh one, *your name* says something unexpected

"you're a werewolf".

"Werecoyote...", Malia is taken back, searching desperately for what clue tipped the detective off. *Your name* raises from *your pronouns* seat, "I saw your eyes glow back there. At first I thought I was crazy but then I noticed your disgruntled reaction towards the full moon". She's slightly impressed by the detective. "So, what... Are you in hiding as well?"

*your name* chuckles, "No, I'm not supernatural, I just know that it exists... Long story short, that life didn't agree with me, so I left it behind".

"I'm sorry to hear that".

"...I'm sorry for your loss".

They say to each other, trying their best to be comfortimg.

Malia walks over to the fridge, with a small smile on her face and grabs two beers. She begins to walk over to *your name*, but stops short as she looks down at the alcohol, the memories of the wreckage and accident flooding back in her mind. She sets them down on the counter, then with a determined look on her face, turns to the detective, "You have to believe me, werewolves can't get drunk, our bodies heal too fast. Something doesn't add up".

*Your name* takes in Malia's words, "I'm sorry, Malia...but...what do you want this to be?".

"I want it to be a murder investigation", she responds.

"Malia, say we do find a suspect, say they have a motive and no alibi, how do you think it's gonna look in court when they mention that Scott was going to get beers, and that the crash was littered with--"

Abruptly, *your name* recieved a phone call, Malia waits patiently as the detective takes it. She hears mumbling in the background as *your name* says goodbye and places down the phone. "Looks like we've finely got some good news".

"What'd they find?" She asks anxiously. "A possible witness, there aren't any cameras on Smile Rd. but this guy was on a road trip. He was heading back to Philadelphia and that's the only road back." The detective responds. "I'm coming with you, and you're not stopping me", Malia says commandingly. "Wouldn't dream of it" *your name* replies. Malia and the detective take the near-2 hour drive to Philadelphia, not taking any stops.

*Your name* pulls up infront of an apartment building, in the parking lot they see the car belonging to, "Mr. Turner", their possible witness. They begin climbing the stairway to the 7th floor when Malia speaks. "You think this guy saw something?", She asks. "I don't know but, there's only way to find out". Upon reaching his residence, apartment 6B, they are met by a crowded scene filled with paramedics, detectives, the CSI and Bobby. *Your name* turns to Bobby: "why are the CSI here?". "See for yourself", Bobby responds.

"Well, Malia, looks like you were right" *your name* says, as he returns to Her. "...Right about what?", She asks.

"This is no longer a DUI case... It's a murder investigation".

Malia still looks slightly confused, not quite sure what the detective meant. *Your name* gestured towards the door as Malia pushed her way past a few paramedics to view the scene

Upon opening the door, She found several CSI agents making chalk marks over a dead body - Mr. Turner

She stands paralyzed, her fists cleched at her sides. As *your name* steps forward to try to comfort her, Malia notices something out of the corner of her eye. "Hey you're not authorised--", a police officer tries to repremand her, before *your name* intervenes, "it's okay, she's with me"

Malia tries to analyse a weird drawing on the wall before something else catches her attention, "there's something in his mouth", she calls out. The detective looks at Malia skeptically, then reaches for a pair of gloves. Reaching inbetween The corpse's lips, a note is revealed. The detective unfolds it, only to find hieroglyphics, numbers, letters and unidentifiable symbols. "It's a a god damn code" Bobby says, pinching the bridge of his nose. *Your name" looks at one of the junior agents, "make a copy of this and send it to me, send the original to evidence".

"Detective there's something else". Another investigator calls out. A few officers gather around the body as they identify the markings on his arms "They were carved into him, presumably with a knife". *Your name*'s eyes grow large as the symbols begin to familiarise themselves. "... they're star signs",*Your name* points out. "Is that important?" Bobby asks.

"it means either the murderer is trying to throw us off ... Or this is the work of the Zodiac Killer".

The scene turns into a heated discussion as the investigators and detectives within the black and yellow tape try to break down the information. "It's impossible, even if Zodiac was as young as twenty during the original murders, that was fifty years ago, he'd have to be an old man now". Someone argues. "They never caught him, what if this is their apprentice? Or someone trying to emulate him?" Another voice adds. *Your name* steps away from the scene, trying to get a clear head, yet soon, joined by Malia. "What'd you make of those symbols?" She asks. "I have a theory". The detective continues; "what if whoever, or whatever murdered Scott, isn't human. The CSI probably won't find anything 'cuz that's out of their paygrade, but you and Scott were shapeshifters, it's possible he could've made enemies. Now when I saw those Zodiac signs I thought 'nope, its just an act to throw us off', but what if... Zodiac isn't human. It'd explain the half century between his last murder and this".

Malia folds her arms, "That's worth looking into, but I saw something I think you should know about"

"What's that?", *Your name*, replies

"When I was in there...before I even noticed the note, I saw something. There was this...creepy ass smile drawn on the wall...I didn't think anything of it first but then I remembered something, The road..."

"Where Scott was murdered...", *Your name* continues

"Smile Rd.", Malia says aggressively.

They both nod their heads in agreement. "We've got work to do", the detective says. Malia looks around carefully. "What about the non-supernatural side of this investigation?" She asks. "I'll let Bobby handle it", *your name* explains.

Outside, *your name* turns to Malia, trying to conjour a plan. "We found a connection between the road and the drawing, now we've just gotta find out if those star signs we're just there to confuse us or not. I need you to think Malia, is there anyone you can think of that'd want Scott dead?"

Malia looks up to the moon and lets out a small chuckle, "Oh yeah... I have my suspicions".

What fandoms did you write in this year?

One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Harry Potter, MCU, Teen Wolf - I think those are the main ones.

Did you write more, less, or roughly about what you expected?

More, a lot more. I kept getting attacked by my muse and couldn’t just leave well enough alone.

But I enjoyed every moment of it, and am very rpoud of the things I did pyblush this year.

What’s your favorite story of the year?

I can’t believe this is how I fell in love

It’s a sugar daddy/suger baby MarAce fic that just popped up and wouldn’t let me go. I loved writing it, and going from reviews people loved reading it too. 

What is your most underappreciated story of the year?

I don’t know to be honest, I think I’m doing rather well overall. I think my stats are amazing, so I don’t think I have one really.

Biggest fanfic-related disappointment of 2021?

Spelling mistakes, I have this annoying habit of reading over my own mistakes and as such don’t always notice that I left glaring errors in my fics.

People are pointing them out to me, and I go and correct them. I also have someone who is looking over the fics for me, even if I don’t know if I need a beta-reader per se (I just need someone who points them all out).

Biggest fanfic-related surprise of 2021?

The amount of writing I got in, and the suprising easy way I could get them in.

Not to brag or anything, but if I put my mind to it I could get a chapter finished in about an hour. Given that I write at least 2 hours idea, it isn’t that much of a surprise that I can hit 2.5K words a day, on avarage.

Something you look forward to working on in 2022?

My prompts, I want to explore more about what I can do. With they way there are so many prompts lists out there, as well as the option of readers to send some ine I feel like I’ll accomplish a lot this year!

Reconnecting with my craft

Hello Tumblrverse,

It's been a while. A long while. I have been out of touch with my craft for what feels like forever. To be honest with you, I have never really known what I was doing for 99% of the time I've been a witch. I've known for a long time that I was a witch, that to my core, I identified with everything witchy, but it didn't quite feel right to me. I had been living with roommates for most of my adult life, if not a partner, then my parents, so practicing witchcraft had always been tricky for me. I've never really practiced openly and freely because I was surrounded by people that judged me in one way or another. I didn't feel comfortable being myself. I didn't feel comfortable being a witch.

That started changing a couple of months ago. My TTRPG group started falling apart, things were going awful. We switched to playing D&D once a week to every two weeks because we needed a breather. During the off week, one of my friends introduced us to the system called Monster of the Week. I love this system to bits. It's urban fantasy style, a "what is the supernatural existed and it was a threat?" type of game. Your shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Supernatural, Teen Wolf, all of those, You get it. For that game, I created a witch, because it felt so natural to me. I knew exactly what I wanted my character to be. I searched for a name, something that resonated with the aesthetic and the core of this character and I stumbled upon Avalon. It fit her perfectly. She was a baby witch, new to the craft, with a mentor and she was about to grow into her power, much like me in a way. I played her for months and we started her storyline and my Keeper (what the DM is called in this system) truly understood the assignment. The vibe and the aesthetic were fucking immaculate. I was giddy like a child every two weeks when we got to play.

Because of Avalon, I started reading tarot again, and it became part of the game too. My Keeper thought it was so cool, that at the beginning of every mystery, Ava would read tarot cards to gain insight into the monster that we would hunt. So through that, I reconnected with my deck. When new players joined our group, two of them collect tarot decks and showed them to me. We started gushing over the cute art and how we love the mysticism of divination. They made me feel welcome and seen.

Then I moved out on my own for the first time. Single and alone. It sounds bad, and to be honest, I thought I was never going to be able to shoulder it by myself. This year I found out I have BPD, which is a struggle to live with day to day, but I have worked on it so much in and out of therapy. I thought that living alone would be so difficult. Then I started taking it one day at a time. I went back to checking Tumblr when I was bored. I started to miss witchcraft a bit, then a lot more. I stumbled into the "Reconnecting with your craft" post that you can scroll down to see on my blog, and I started doing that. Reacquainting myself with my BoS and all of that jazz. I felt anxious at the beginning, not knowing what I was doing. There's always a part of me that's scared I'm gonna summon something bad or whatever but knowing my practice if I manage to do that, then I truly have supernatural powers because my practice is chill af.

I pull a tarot card every morning, getting the energy for the day with a side of insight. I am now back to drinking a lot of tea (and my soul rejoices, chamomile truly is magical for anxiety.) I never got acquainted with the phases of the moon in the past, now I'm exploring that, and to be honest, it's quite fun. I'm gearing up to celebrate my first Lughnasadh as a witch and I'm looking forward to that. In the past, all of that has felt not quite like me, like I was an imposter, a little kid pretending to be something they are not. Now, it feels right. This is me.

To reflect all of these new changes, I have changed my witchy name. I used to use my online pseudonym, but I think it's a little passé now. I want my name to reflect the growth and healing I have gone through. Therefore, this witch is now known as Avalon. ♥

You will see me more around these parts, from now on. I'm looking forward to interacting with this community once more. :)

HEY HI HELLO! :D :D :D Thanks so much for the ask!

A. Of the fanfic you’ve written, which is your favorite and why?

Oh, this is actually a really hard one, and the answer changes so often. I've been writing fanfic for long enough that at this point, there are so many I've poured so much of myself into, so many that mean something special to me. I think my absolute top favorite comes down to a tie between the Detention 'verse (Supernatural AU) and there's a fire burning in my bones (Julie and the Phantoms post-canon). Detention because of the way it challenged me - I knew going in that I was writing a trope that so often comes across as deeply problematic, but I wanted mine to feel different...innocent. I was so proud of how it turned out, and I rarely feel that kind of pride over my work. TAFBIMB because it surprised me at nearly every turn, the plot and the pairings coming together in ways I never saw coming but which I feel really ended up working when all was said and done.

K. Do you have a guilty pleasures in fic (reading or writing)?

Several tbh. But oh man. Okay, I don't write it often these days, but holy hell I am a sucker for a well done pregnancy fic? (Yes including mpreg I KNOW OKAY.) Which makes zero sense because the idea of being pregnant has squicked me out since I was a small child. But I love reading stories about characters finding themselves in this wholly unexpected situation and dealing with it and making a family and just. GAH. *claws at face* plz don't judge me too harshly LOL.

Also do not even get me STARTED on soul-bonding, okay, this has made its way into every single fandom I've ever written and I APOLOGIZE FOR NOTHING.

L. Which of your fanfics was the most emotionally challenging to write?

Oof. I use my favorite characters as a dumping ground for all my issues, which means that fairly often, I'm a mess when writing them. (Most recently, I wrote a scene where Julie has to say goodbye to her friends, with no idea when or if she'll see them again. I wrote this scene on the same day two of my closest friends, and the only emotional support I had in this city, moved away. That was brutal.)

I guess I'd probably have to say, overall, All That's Best of Dark and Bright, my Teen Wolf fic wherein Stiles comes out as trans. It should be noted that I'm not trans, but I have close friends who are. I've seen how they've struggled over the years. And it did incorporate a lot of my own feelings about coming out in general, even when it's terrifying, even if you have no idea if the people you love will accept or understand you. I still get comments on that story that make me cry. It's not my best work by any stretch, but it's definitely one that challenged me the hardest and made me feel the most.

PONK! Ponk <3 Ponk!!! I just love the way they talk and their character and how strong they are and compassionate but also refuse to take any shit from anyone and their moral philosophy is fascinating and just. My beloved.

alternatively: my OC Romy. Who is a roughly charming punk butch lesbian werewolf hunter who grew up in a cult in Paris. She hates cops and loves women. Her vibe is "fight or flirt" and the secret third option of "adopt miserable bisexual men and drag them on an emotional journey with a witty quip and mischievous charm" Had to put her in here somewhere <3 (Yes she is everything I want to be, why do you ask)

36. They say to Write What You Know. Setting aside for a moment the fact that this is terrible advice…what do you Know?

oh my god I don't know anything ever. Okay, but if we're being genuine here– I love using fics for philosophical thought exercises. I'm an English Major, Philosophy Minor, and I use those two skills Purely for fanfiction. Whether it's the ethics of torture or what we as humans stay alive for, I love to think about that stuff! In my main teen wolf fic Isaac chose to mercy-kill people, only choosing to rescue someone when it was someone he knew personally. He sure struggled with that one morally lmao. Or like, the idea of recognizing the self in the other! In Is your blood as red as this? Dream being tortured is portrayed as horrifying to Tommy, someone Dream himself tortured, but "getting even" is not what Tommy believes in and Quackity doesn't understand that. Even Dream in that fic being troubled by Tommy recognizing his exile in Dream's condition, whether that made him question his choices, I doubt it, but I'm sure Dream thought about that for a While. Until Quackity gave him something else to think about aha. And ofc I fucking love working with Ponk's thoughts on trust, karma, justice, forgiveness, etc etc etc. There's more recent stuff in TDDD questioning things like: If death is meaningless, is life meaningless too? What does it mean if you only stay alive because you know about a bad afterlife? Is suicide wrong if death doesn't mean anything anymore? Is it okay to abandon someone if they abandoned you first? What does it mean to be a god? Why do we stay alive? Is staying alive about the world, or is it about us? And those are always fun.

The only other thing I can think of is like, I guess minecraft mechanics?? even though I tend to fiddle them around to suit what I want. Other things I haven't already known but have researched for fics, like France or how bodies decay. Fun stuff like that.

Controversial opinion maybe, but I don't care too much about Bai He. Hope nobody minds lol. Like, on one hand. Props to the fandom for being so insane they made someone's fanon name trend like its always been there and confusing the hell out of newcomers. I had a brief aw moment, "hey what if" while watching protective!Macky, but then I saw the prevalence in every fanwork and it fizzled out quickly. Iconic tho I guess haha. Other fandoms can only dream of reaching that level, because the agony those other fandoms experience makes it akin to a pipping hot stove. Same with seeing Glamour everywhere, its such normalized language + concept now. I'm kinda baffled. This is really the first fandom where I've seen such unanimous responses.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: BUGS, FEAR, MENTION OF DEATH, FEELING SMALL, VERY GROSS DISCRETION

Tommy watched Dream as he pushed the door to their hole in the ground open The younger Dirt Crawler was practically bouncing with excitement. Today was the day, finally Dream was taking him out on his first hunting trip. It was the perfect day for hunting as well, since it hadn't rained for weeks and was so bright and sunny out (as Tommy could tell from the blinding light coming through their burrow door) that there was no way it would rain; so there was no risk of them drowning in a puddle or getting dragged down to suffocate in mud. It was also the afternoon by now, judging by where the sun was, which meant almost no birds out hunting at all. Yeah, now would be the perfect time to get some food.

"You remember all the rules I told you, right?" Tommy was startled out of his thoughts by his older brother's voice.

"Yeah yeah yeah, I know I know!" The teen rolled his eyes. The rules had been drilled into him ever since he was a kid, ever since their parents were still around.

"Okay, so remember that we're only hunting aphids- no attacking ants, ladybugs, termites-"

"Mantises,"-He cut off Dream's words-"slugs- yeah yeah, I know boss man! We don't fight anything that isn't an aphid!!" Tommy climbed out of the burrow with that in mind. He already knows what happens if a Dirt Crawler tries to fight anything other than an aphid, he's been told the horror stories thousands of times. Ants will swarm you if you hurt one, ladybugs can headbutt trample and eat you, termites can take a limb off with one bite, and mantises- of Prime Tommy really does NOT want to think about fucking mantises.

"I'm just making sure-" Dream added as he climbed out to stand next to Tommy, kicking their burrow door closed behind himself. "I know how adventurous you can get at times and I don't want to risk anything." The elder puts a hand on Tommy's shoulder and looks into his baby brother's eyes seriously. The world is a dangerous place for someone only half an inch tall, and he wants to make sure his baby brother is safe.

"Stop worrying so much- I'm not gonna leave your side big man." Tommy smirks into their serious gaze and gives his brother a comforting pay on the shoulder, making them sigh with relief.

"Good- because I don't know what I'd do without your annoying voice." Dream jokes with a slightly forced chuckle and ruffles the teen's curly blond hair. Tommy only groans in annoyance and pushes his hand away, which only makes Dream let out another fond chuckle. "C'mon, we don't have all afternoon!" The elder doesn't give Tommy any time to fix their hair as he grabs their hand and pulls them off into the towering grass blades.

It's a few hours later when the two brothers find themselves watching from being blades of grass as several aphids hop around on the dirt, having called off of the grass after the two tiny people had shaken their plant homes with the help of a light breeze. Dream pulls out a small sword and turns to Tommy to make sure he's holding his own sword correctly. Once the eldest is sure the time is perfect, he gives a signal with his hand and both split- Dream running in from the right and Tommy from the left, both catching the tiny bugs off guard and using that to their advantage to slice off the heads of several before they can jump out of reach.

"You did it!" Dream smiles up at Tommy who himself is smiling proudly. They were running low on food, and now with Tommy's help, they're both sure to have more than enough aphids to last them for a week or more at least. "This should be good- you, did good Toms." The green clad Dirt Crawler walks over to his brother and ruffles their hair, and this time Tommy does not complain. "Now help me bag them up-"

"Yes sir!" Tommy gives a small thumbs up and starts to fill his sprig woven bag with the dead aphids as Dream does the same. It's all fine until one of the aphid bodies gets up and starts to limp away- Tommy missed it's head. "I'll get it!" He calls over to his brother, who gives a nod of acknowledgement before Tommy chases after the aphid, knowing he can easily catch and kill it since it can't jump.

Tommy doesn't notice anything suspicious as he approaches the injured aphid. He doesn't look around at his surroundings as he gets out his sword. He doesn't look up as he stabs the bug and finally kills it. He does however scream after looking up to see where the droplet of slime had come from on his sword after landing the killing blow.

Dream snaps his head up to attention, his eyes wide with fear for his Tommy as he looks to where they'd run off to- and he almost screams as well. "IT'S A SLUG!!!!" He's quick to run over and grab Tommy's arm and start to drag the petrified teen away before they can be eaten.

Tommy doesn't hesitate to follow Dream once he snaps out of his state of fear. As they run Tommy tries not to think about the humongous slimey being of pure squishy muscle, with four eyes that stared at him with nothing but hunger, and a large gaping mouth that was opening and closing, ready to eat it's lunch with the rows upon rows of tiny razor sharp teeth that could allow the disgusting giant to swallow him whole. Tommy shivers, yeah that's going to be haunting his nightmares- oh well at least slugs are slow, so he and Dream have plenty of time to run away…. Or so he thought, before suddenly his running is slowed significantly by something making him stick to the ground. The teen looks down, and sees he's stepped into a trail of familiar slime that has him now stuck where he stands.

"Dre- Dream!?" He yells to his older brother, who also finds himself slowed by the slime trail. Dream looks at his brother sadly, and grabs their arms before desperately trying to pull Tommy free as the slug approaches at a slow orgilating crawl towards them.

"Tommy- Tommy, look at me!" Dream said, keeping his voice firm, trying to give his baby brother something to focus on. "Don't look back- don't- d- don't look behind you. Just focus on me, we're going to get out of this." At least Tommy is close enough for Dream to pull them into a hug. He lets Tommy bury their face into his chest, letting them cry as he glares up at the omnivore that had successfully hunted them down on Tommy's first aphid gathering…

"I- I'm scared…" Tommy admits quietly, something they usually would never do, but Dream can understand in this situation: getting stuck while running from a slug is certain death for any and all Dirt Crawlers.

"I know… I know, but it's going to be okay, I promise…." Dream whispers softly and weaves his fingers into Tommy's soft golden curls, something that's always calmed them down, no matter how old. He hugs his small brother close, closing his eyes so he can savor one last moment with them…

BOOM-SQUELCH!!!

The sound is loud and disturbing to hear for the absolutely miniscule brothers, and they both open their eyes wide in surprise and fear of what happened. All that can run through Dream's head is that the slug must've been crushed by something, but what? A deer? A wolf maybe? Possibly even a skunk even if they aren't in this area? The only way to find out is to look up- and up- and up and up and up and-

"Fuck." Dream doesn't cuss often, but for this occasion it feels necessary.

"Wh- wha-" Tommy begins to ask but cuts off his own words as he feels all his breath leave him in fear, as he looks up too.

A giant. An actual giant. A person, thousands of times their size was standing right on top of where the slug had been only seconds before- and it seemed like they didn't even notice they'd crushed anything.

"Human…" Dream mutters quietly, remembering the word from a story their mom told him once before Tommy was born. Giants- humans- weren't supposed to be here. Dirt Crawlers almost never had to deal with humans… yet here one stood, having unintentionally saved the two brothers lives, and Dream realized in a moment how close they both were to that death dealing foot, and if the human hadn't seen the slug, then if they took another unfortunate step- "R- run- we need to run! Run!!" Dream shouts and starts to pull Tommy, and his brother quickly gets the message as they both pull themselves out of the slime to start running.

Dream doesn't let go of Tommy's hand the whole time as they both run as fast as they can, but it doesn't feel fast enough as every time Dream looks back the human looks just as close as they were before and- oh gods they were looking down at them. Dream pushes forward, trying to pull Tommy even faster with a feigned hope that maybe, just maybe they can at least get to the burrow in time and be safe until the human leaves-

Dream bounces back off of something hard and smooth, he can't see it but he can feel it. Tommy rushes forward to stand beside him and starts to bang on the invisible wall; it's a fruitless effort however as both know that anything used by humans is guaranteed to be too strong for either to break through. Only a few seconds later they feel gravity change and they're sliding down the wall, Dream grabs Tommy and hugs him, wanting to make sure that wherever they land his brother is safe more than anything. They eventually hit a bottom, made of another invisible wall- and as Dream looks up he meets two massive eyes, twice as big as himself, staring directly at him and his brother.

Hello, Gen! ^-^ Random, but - High Warlock!Nico/Shadowhunter!Percy headcanons??? (the thought process behind that was that I've been thinking about a Teen Wolf/Shadowhunter crossover these days, which brought me to your Teen Wolf/Percy Jackson crossover and thus, to close the circle, I came back to an old fave and got curious! :D)

Okay, okay, okay.

So-

- Hades is the demon parent - obviously. Nico grew up in the Republic of Venice (La Serenissima), with his sister around the 15th century (just because Renaissance 😍). Maria was the daughter of the current Doge that time, but they tended to die suddenly. How tragic.

- But it was really tragic, because Maria was also murdered when he was, leaving Bianca and Nico orphans, in need to flee from Venice. Rome, here they come!

- Unfortunately, it wasn't the best choice, because after awhile, Bianca caught the attention of Cesare Borgia, and she, too, was killed. After that, Nico spent some years in a rage, letting his demonic side out.

- It was not a nice decade. Century? A few centuries at the most.

- After that, he traveled around the world, afloat, trying to find some reason for his existence.

- He found one: his half-sister from his father's side, Hazel, and her lovers, Frank (vampire) and Leo (warlock).

- Right. I forgot to mention his demon mark is his completely black eyes, silver claws and bat wings. (Hazel's is her golden, cat-like eyes and her ridiculously fluffy cat ears.)

- Nico never stepped a foot into Venice over the centuries (not until his honeymoon with his husband leads to there, wanting to introduce him to his family).

- He didn't really want to become a High Warlock, especially not of San Francisco, because that city was too dark, had too many criminals (both mundane and downworlder) and the Shadowhunters were too racists, but. Hazel and her husbands found home there, so what could he do? Leave them alone to fend for themselves? Obviously not.

- So, he started cleaning up a bit around his home, starting with the current High Warlock, and the other underworld leaders who tried to manipulate, hurt, and/or kill his family members.

Hmmm...

- Percy Jackson's father was a Circle member, so he is not in his life, but because his mother is a good little Shadowhunter, they are just under mild suspicion.

- His parabatai is Grover. (You can't convince me otherwise u.u)

- His mother, seeing the Lightwoods not really wanting another kid, adopted Jace. Because I want Jace and Percy to be brothers, dammit!

- They grew up with the Lightwoods, the Chases (as in Annabeth, Grover, and Luke Case) and the Graces, so the New York Institute, despite of the adults' effort to make it unpleasant, was always full of life. Sure, they learned everything, and when they needed to be, they were serious, but- Honestly. Nine kids growing up together? Sounds chaotic ngl.

- Mostly everything happened as in the show with Clary, so hello, eleven teenagers, a child and two immortals (Sounds exhausting...)!

- Okay, so. Because they have more people, more trusted friends, some things happens differently. Especially that they don't let the Clave take over the Institute. (Honestly, Annabeth and Izzy, then Clary and Lydia working together? They could take over the whole world.)

- Jace and Percy are proud pansexuals. (Sally would never allow them to be ashamed for their sexuality u.u) Because of this, it is Jace, who realizes his crush on Alec, and asks him on a date, regardless of them being parabatai. So, a fairly confident pair meet with Magnus, who immediately notices them. I mean, how could he not?!

- As they need all help they could get, Magnus calls for his old friend, Nico, who, redundantly, but decides to help them out. And when he steps out of his portal, how glad he is for his decision! That pretty, green-eyed Shadowhunter is really, really, really yummy looking.

- But there is no time for romance, no matter what the happy threesome... Raphael and Simon... Izzy and Lydia... Annabeth and Clary (or is it Izzy and Clary, Lydia and Annabeth? 🤔 Percy doesn't know. The answer is: it's all the four together) and all of their happiness seems to suggest.

- So, they wait. And flirt with each other. And irritate the others with their UST.

- But then finally, the war ends, everything is peaceful and the future is full of hope, so of course it is time for their first date!

- It goes horribly wrong. Percy is late because he had a Downworlder problem; the restaurant Nico choose has to be evacuated because of faulty pipes; the hamburger place throws them out for being gay; and when they finally find a nice pizzeria that is up to Nico's standards, he is called away for an emergency.

- It is a complete disaster. They are conflicted, think that it was a sign that it is just not meant to be, but Jace, Grover and Annabeth throw him through Magnus' portal before he could completely close himself off of having a warlock boyfriend.

- He lands in Nico's lap.

- They end up married. Well. Not that day.

- That day they decide that who cares about "real" dates, if they could hug, and talk, and spend time together without even going out? They know each other, they obviously like each other, it's not like they need that awkward stage in their relationship where they don't know anything about the other and their expectations.

- But they do end up getting married. And have a ceremony where they connect their lives together literally, so that they would live until the other lives.

- While Percy moves to San Francisco, there's a constant portal between Nico's and Magnus' place, so basically the friend group spend just as much time together as they did before, just now they have Nico, Hazel, Frank and Leo as well.

- Izzy is their surrogate, because she looks the closest to Nico, so when their little daughter is born with Percy's fluffy hair, and dark brown eyes, similar to Nico's, she looks as the perfect combination of the two of them. Their second child is an abandoned Downworlder with fluffy, blue, feather-y hair and curious, yellow eyes.

- They have two dogs and a cat. Obviously. u.u

ALL COMMENTS. but the very best comments are ones that talk a lot about what you've written and (for me, particularly) ask questions or make observations that make me think 'ah, excellent - i'll put that in a later chapter'. we've got a very nice commenting culture going on at the moment, lots of people - particularly writers but not just writers - leaving really detailed and interesting comments on lots of CO fics, you're one of them <3

also, obviously, anything that's like 'here, i made this in response'.

but also also, i cannot stress how addicted i am to comments. i write to get comments of any kind. thank you for your comments.

faaaaaake relationship :D super excited to write some for CORB and work with an amazing artist while i do it. i've honestly been waiting for a good idea to justify this trope for years and then @asticou gave me one.

other than that it would be accurate to say i love all tropes, but particularly things like... 'magic made them do it' or anything that forces people who 'don't like each other' to deal with their feelings early. it's part of why i like fake relationship so much, even though the CORB is going to be friends-to-lovers, so a bit different.

i also love AU-canon divergence so much it's barely a trope anymore, and i guess i've been doing a lot recently with 'second chances'.

these were reader tropes, i've just realised, but the same is absolutely true of me as a reader. as a reader i like to read things that make me angry that i didn't write them.

great question!!! shockingly (not that shockingly) i have thought about this, so here's four - from most plausible to implement to least plausible.

move profile onto the dashboard - not even a new feature. no one uses it right now. maybe against the spirit of the archive, but i like encouraging people to engage with me as a human elsewhere as well.

a way to message people without commenting on their fic, don't need an instant message function just some sort of button that allows you to email them

arguably this goes against the premise of AO3 as an archive, but i feel like some sort of community hub would be invaluable, now it's so hard to find fandoms. i'm thinking something simple like a permanently pinned 'fic' at the top of every fandom tag, and then people could post 'comments' linking to things like the discord, facebook groups, tumblr, instagram, etc.

hosting for podfics and/or images. or they could team up with audiofic, which is gradually coming back online. here's my reader page (although it wrongly assigns a teen wolf fic to me as the first entry, so don't be surprised i sound different on that one. it's not me!)

otherwise, AO3 is generally great and i love it. i also enjoyed answering these questions, thank you!
