Some of you didn’t seem to understand how magic works in the sense of how you can access it. I’ll explain again.
If you gain magical power from making a deal with a more powerful being, you are a warlock. Sneaky lawyer.
If you gain magical power through teachings and studies, you are a wizard/artificer. (Artificers usually gain power through experimentation.)
If you gain magical power by pledging yourself to a cause, being, or idea, you are a paladin. Pretentious bitch.
If you gain magical power by praising a higher deity (and not making a deal), you are a cleric. Heal someone.
If you have magical power and you didn’t do anything to gain it, you are a sorcerer. Fuck you. Seriously, fuck you. The rest of us had to work for our shit.
If you gain magical power by protecting nature and caring for plants and animals, you are a Druid. Fucking hippie.
If you gain magical power from your desire to entertain and also fuck, you are a bard. Stop trying to seduce my dad.

Wines Inspired by Characters Henry Oak from Dungeons and Daddies [FULL EXPLANATION]
Starting off the series with one of my favorite characters from the podcast here's some notes I've written down for the wine.
Grape Type: So Henry having a vegetarian/vegan diet I wanted something that would pair nicely with this. There were mentions of foods like Trail Mix, Nuts, Mushrooms and dried oats and a few wines fit perfectly with this but since Chardonnay is known for it's buttery taste due to it's fermentation in OAK Barrels the choice was a bit obvious.
Dry or Sweet? Plus, this type of wine is known for being either sweet or dry depending on the temperature it was grown in. I feel like this reflects Henry's personality as he's both super sweet caring and very much a pacifist but also dry, angry and stressed.
Body So, the body reflects not only on the amount of alcohol the wine has but also, it's acidity, color and tannins.
Acidity is sour and makes your mouth water but tannins dry your mouth. That being said, medium body just means that there is a balance between both tannins and acidity and that it's within a 12.5%-13.5% alcohol level. Oaked Chardonnays are known for this.
The alcohol level is reflected on the amount of natural sugar the grapes have which can vary by the soil type, climate and variant. This does NOT reflect on the overall sweetness of the wine. Sweet wines usually have lower alcohol levels than bold wine since most of the glucose is broken up and fermented during the process there for making more alcohol.
Flavors and Aromas: Several sommeliers have explained that flavors and Aromas AND will vary depending on the pallet. There are a few that are more noticeable to several but others that aren't. That is part of the magic and art of wine tasting. That being said for Henry's Inspired wine I did use some fruits mentioned in his dialog during season 1. More specifically this quote:
What the freakin ding dang, gosh darn, dilly willy, heckin' shark tooth, banana chicanery, rootin' tootin', raspberry freaking FUCK are you two doing here?! -Henry Oak (Dungeons and Daddies Season 1)
Although banana and shark tooth aren't main notes for this wine, I feel like Henry would use these terms to describe it. Raspberry on the other hand WOULD be a nice main note, alongside the classic vanilla and Oak combo from classic chardonnay with a hint of green apple, Jazmin and general minerals. Those last three I feel reflect Oakville a lot beside the obvious OAK.
Bottle Design The main label reflects the physical appearance of the character both in its podcast cover and in the character's intro from Will Campos.
"Henry Oak is the Birkenstock rocking, crunchy, munchy, hippie, nature druid dad of the group."
Wanted to stick with the colors from the Cover art but with a more neutral tone so that it matches the colors and hue of this hypothetical wine.
Having the iconic Berkenstocks in the background on a rocky stone grown with vines growing around it, just felt like the perfect vision for Henry. And as a little homage to on of the several dadfacts I added a Trilobite insignia on the top of the wine cap.
Finally, I added the important info such as where it would have been produced, by what bodega and when. Obviously, Oakville in the Forgotten Realms would have been an interesting place to grow grapes. Bodega Daddies because it sounds both funny and well fitted and finally it's from 2019 because that's when Henry Oak first appeared in the first episode of that same year.
And I think that just about does it!!!
Thank you so much for reading and I'll be following up with the next wine of the series. Which character should I make a wine for next?

Hi I made bracelets for all the Odyssey Dads!
Tumblr media
Henry Oak
I wanted his colorful!!! To express the nature, hippy, druid dad vibe.
So, lots of green, the flowers, colorful letters!
The stars are a purposeful choice. To also represent him not being from our world!
Tumblr media
Darryl Wilson
I had a harder time with colors and or a vibe for him. So, his is more heavily reliant on the footballs.
In my head, his colors are brownish/muted, hence why I used both dark colored letter beads and the overall brownish theme.
Kinda gives me bear vibes (flag).... Unintentional. But he IS built like one
Tumblr media
Ron Stampler
Originally, I made his too big. I had more fish on, but had to take them off for it to fit.
Ron's is more blueish for both what blue as a color represents AND for water. Obviously.
I knew I wanted fish for Ron's. The purple was also deliberate again. The purple is for Willy. To symbolize Willy (drowning) in the water near Ron.
Tumblr media
Glenn Close
I had so many issues finding beads for Glenn. So I settled for Christmas beads.
Glenn's colors are meant to represent the Christmas cover bit, with the oranges adding a pop of color and a nod towards what happens to him.
I almost went with red dice for him, but the orange felt better. More him!

Note
Peepaw what is dungeons and daddies
OKAY SO.
Dungeons and Daddies is a DND podcast run by Anthony Burch, one of the main writers of God of War. I found it during the apocalypse, (it was discontinued for obvious reasons) and it really helped my multitudes of mental illnesses because it is the funniest goddamn podcast that has ever podcasted I swear to fucking god-
The main plot is that four dads and their five sons from our world, on the way to a soccer tournament, fall through a portal into the Forbidden Realms. The sons are separated from their fathers and the Dads have to go on a magical, epic, heroic adventure to save them.
The Dads are, as follows;
Darryl Wilson, a stay at home sports dad with a heart of gold and a love for America, and who becomes a barbarian in the forbidden realms, father to Grant Wilson.
Henry Oak, a hippie nature dad who wears Birkenstocks and becomes a Druid [Not a cleric, og post was a mistake lmao]. His two sons, Lark and Sparrow, are mischievous identical twins.
Glenn Close, a rock and roll bard dad who has a christmas song cover band and canonically smokes weed with his son Nick Close. He is canonically the coolest dad of the group.
[He is also the hottest. I want that man SO FUCKIGN BAD HES SO GODDAMN. OUGH. DUDE. GLENN CLOSE. OFSUFKJDKJFDKJ-]
And then there's Ron Stampler, business man and emotionally stunted stepfather, who is trying his best to connect with his stepson Terry.
I. Love. This. Fucking. Show.
Its about catholic guilt its about the eldritch and the terrifying unknown its about attempting to control that which you cannot possibly understand its about the generational cycle of trauma its about how the patriarchy cripples every generation of men that lives under it its about loss and love and father and son relationship and most importantly it is FUCKING HILARIOUS.
