i keep forgetting to ask my therapist about this so i’m going to do the next best thing and ask ppl i kno on tumblr - would antidepressants have any affect on like… the strength of a person’s hyper fixations?

i always thought rik mayall’s death is what kind of damaged that for me but then my wife was like, didn’t u start ur medication around that time?

so in the same way that it levels out the lows, it might be leveling out the highs as well?

the closest i’ve gotten to a hyper fixation since rik died was a brief stint with michael sheen 😅 but even then it had a different flavor than when i was younger
