I feel really stupid and incompetent

#idk i want to... do something im trying not to get spesific with the thought #i just am helping my friend with their comic and i feel like im being stupid #and i also want to write my own comic but i dont have ant plot ideas?? #and i want to write a ttrpg campaign and im coming up blank on that #and also all my other campaigns were SHIT they were so bad not fun #like one of them was a one shot and i still feel like it didnt have enough enemies or puzzles #and the ones i did have i just COMPLETELY scrapped while playing because of various reasons like i didnt want the game to be too hard for #my players but like.. idk sometimws beating a hard boss or puzzle is really satisfying and maybe i should have stuck it out #then i didnt keep good enough notes on my multi sesh ones first 2 sessions and now i feel unprepared to move the story forward #idk i feel like an idiot #and these are the only things i do since im homebound and dont have a job and am often confined to my bed

What kind of content would you like to see from me after TPiaG is finished uploading?

I’ve got a lot of storylines I could pursue that are TPiaG-adjacent (like my 5,000 branching AUs), or I could try and continue the fic chronologically somehow. Alternatively, I could start a new fic with some original PMD characters of mine— or even try branching out into some more fandoms or posting my original work!

Here’s a list of some of my stuff I’ve posted about previously to provide some ideas, but don’t feel bound to discussing them alone:

Mortality Exchange AU: A TPiaG alternate storyline where Twig manages to kill Darkrai during the Dark Crater fight and becomes his replacement as the Legend of Nightmares.

Dugtrio Day AU: A PMD2 AU about a new Hero and Partner that revolves around a time loop, how it affects the Hero, and how she breaks out of it and deals with the aftermath.

Legends Lost: An original storyline set in the same universe as TPiaG, but starring an almost entirely original cast and plot.

Peepaw + Isekai’d Cat: A duo of PMD OCs— Necrozma and the once-human litten who helps him recover his true form by giving him hope— and their daily lives.

Paradox Fam: A group of PMD OCs starring a human-turned-flutter mane and said human’s adopted mother and father, a slither wing and iron moth, who hate each other’s guts.

Team Crypt: An exploration team of PMD OCs who solve mysteries in a manner that rivals the shenanigans of Scooby Doo and the Mystery Gang.

The Creeping Chronicles (at end of post): A fantasy story about bug people with trauma which has evolved rapidly and dramatically from when I impulsively uploaded a prologue in comic form.

Room 214: A stand-alone short comic about a reluctant exorcist and a friendly ghost that I think could be expanded upon into a broader storyline.

The Name-Oath: A two-part original story about a mortal woman who divorces a fairy prince after an ugly falling-out, and his desperate efforts to get back together.

THIMBLEQUEST: An original video game concept about a tiny moth knight who’s on a quest to find the seven holy thimbles and save the land from an ancient threat.

Unnamed Pokémon Gym Story: A mainline Pokémon OC that is a weather-enthusiast pokemon trainer and her golisopod who keeps bringing home injured bug-types.

Homebound: An Among Us fanfic featuring interspecies adoption, unlikely friendships, tragic backstories, and angst. A lot of angst.

Massive Art OC Dump: (This links to a summary of a lot of original projects with art associated with them.)

yet another iteration of the characters of foreah shifted one game over to the side, ill repeat my insistence that you go read that comic right now

starting with jasper in hellfuck, probably the one who is having the worst time in their life, i imagine they would work as the character in the game INSIDE, more focused on stealth, timing and puzzle solving rather than dexterity or speed, they would move through secret passages, activate trapdoors, time their runs just when the enemies turn their back. they never stop crying and unlike the angel, those are real tears

then we have jiro in last gun, again, another switch in mechanics, rather than a straight shoot'em up, his game would be a simulation game like deus ex or system shock 2, he can shoot but a lot of the point would be in investigating, hacking and managing resources to sneak through the alien base and sabotage, he can choose to go full guns blazing if he wants to but its probably smarter to go the stealth route

after that the angel in homebound, under her would turn from a debate based ghost hunting game into basically goat simulator/untitled goose game plus a collectathon, just a little kid, going around, causing as much trouble as possible, breaking into places and stealing stuff and getting rid of ghosts by throwing the stuff she stole at them

and finally cliff in love bomb is downgraded from a muscle hunk into a little more bishounen due to the game style, he would be a simple straight up fighter/warrior class, i imagine he would feel comfortable enough having a bunch of girls to take care of, albeit he would take a more paternalistic attitude rather than potential lover

Kaelix is a sweetheart, whose hobbies include repairing small mechanisms like clocks, and star-watching. Nieū's hobbies are pestering the crewmates, catching fish, and generally being free from the expectations of employment.

What is the experience of respawning like? I assume it's rather unpleasant.

What was sparrows reaction coming back from her first death?

hopefully i'll get to comic Sparrows' first death in clrs n everything one day, man...

so as it was mentioned in the post that explains Mission Self-preservation, Sparrows' first death happens by a giant metal sheet coming loose and falling on her, crushing her lower half while she's exploring Zephyr's innards, trying to figure out just where the hell is she supposed to start with fixing all of this shit. the whole death is traumatic as hell because she hears it coming loose and attempts escaping. in a last ditch effort she tries to jump out of the way, which is how only n specifically lower half of her manages to get caught. in blind panic and pumped with adrenaline n high on pain, she actually manages to tear herself apart at the abdomen and crawls a little away before collapsing exhausted

all the way back in Zephyr's chamber, the three Iterators heard her initial scream. Euros tried to race to her location but was stopped by Boreas' overseer and then Euros' overseer eye gets snatched by Zeph. to keep him from seeing whatever terrible thing happened to this person he is clearly close to. it won't help anybody if he goes check it out. so Boreas comes along, finds Sparrows still trying to cling on and tells her to let go. Sparrows' vision blurs aaand she dies

the next thing Sparrows knows she's snapping awake in the shelter she slept in the night prior, directly into a panic attack because that was a Horrible thing to go through and she remembers it all very clearly. Euros' overseer eye is already there with her and when it registers she's present/awake, it turns online and attempts to offer comfort and calm her down

the first death always scars over, so post-first Zephyr visit, Sparrows has a nasty scar enveloping the whole of her waist

first few deaths are always treated very seriously and if this happened while she was back home, she would have the whole family fussing about her n keeping her bedbound for like.. the whole day and homebound for another two days. as it is though, bein where she was, Sparrows had to come out a few hours later n get back to work

dying is horrible and terribly painful no matter how many times it happens- even those who more or less become desentized to the whole rebirth process always scream few seconds before their death out of agony. there's more attention pressed at this torment than on the fact that they get to try again and be with their loved ones still in the society (that excuses and reasons the construction of the Iterators), so it's louder than it should be, too

on her first Zephyr visit Sparrows dies a few more times. maybe like four or so. none of them are fun and when she finally makes it back to the Caper of Euros complex she doesn't even think about going to the Mechanic's home first. she just beelines it to Euros' chamber. Euros scoops her up all happy he gets to hold her again and at first they are both laughing before Sparrows starts sobbing her heart out, pretty much inconsolable, muttering about how much it hurt and how scared she was. Euros initiates a lockdown around his chamber so nobody would get to her and just holds her through the whole breakdown

so aye, the whole dying thing is Rather Unpleasant

HomeBound is an interactive webcomic published by the Nintega corporation and created by the famous Andaru Itio in the early 2000s. it follows four kids as they explore their 80s-inspired worldworld and help the townspeople with their everyday quests.

Well, that's what it's about at first. At lunch, your friend explained that a few hundred pages into the comic, things take a turn, and the four kids begin a quest to collect the eight melodies and use them to create a new world, safe from the evil reality-warping mastermind, Lord Giygas and his minions.

The plotlines get incredibly convoluted and complex pretty quickly, even going as far as to introduce several races of aliens with their own cultural complexities and who quickly became a staple of the series and fan favorites. The comic is also infamous for its controversial fandom and outstanding lack of brevity, spanning a total of over ten thousand pages, and having a word count of five million.

It was a groundbreaking series that gained a massive cult following in the US, despite Nintega never releasing an official english translation. However, a small group of dedicated fans have fully translated it for english audiences and hosted it on their own site. Nintega, shockingly, has done nothing about it, despite being unnecesarrily strict in upholding copyright surrounding their properties. Some theorize that they somehow lost the rights to the series, while others think they are somehow profiting off of their translation and choose to stay willfully ignorant.

So I’ve been gone a while because of moving situations. Last time I was here was the pee paw polls tournament finally ending. (Which btw the comic made me bawl like a big baby, I loved it).

Now I come back and there’s a rabbit war going on? Everyone here are just bullying Usagi?? Idk what’s going on so I’m gonna instead ask something completely out of nowhere just for the sake of having something new/different for you to talk about. (And because I have no idea how to handle the Usagi situation here lol)

So Ame, would you hike to a mountain top to watch the sunrise or drive out of town to stargaze? :)

I would if I could! I'm disabled and chronically ill, and because of covid basically homebound. Driving out of town and hiking aren't easy things for me to do.

I'd love to go somewhere where I could see the stars, though. I've lived in cities my whole life so I've never really seen anything other than a few pinpricks.
