Because I recently went to see WDAS' most recent film, Wish, and because it's their centennial, and because I'm currently listening to a mega-draft podcast of the films, here are my Top Ten Walt Disney Animation Studios films (not my list of personal favorites, the top ten films I would say are the top ten best of the canon):
Beauty and the Beast (1991) - an assuredly told version of the story, an outstanding score, stellar cast and voice work paired with great animation, a highlight of the medium of animation
Pinocchio (1940) - this was their second one out of the gate! i mean there's so much to admire: the shot of jiminy's perspective as he hops to geppetto's shop, the overhead shot of the town, the horror of lampwick turning into a donkey, the monstro chase, everything with figaro and cleo!!!
Sleeping Beauty (1959) - they set out to create a literal moving work of art and they did it. the tchaikovsky score and gorgeous painted backgrounds, PLUS you got The Golden Girls raising a child in the woods, "And now you shall deal with me O Prince, and all the powers of Hell!" FUCK.
101 Dalmatians (1961) - I watched this in its entirety for the first time as an adult after previously only seeing part of it once or twice and I never knew how fucking tight of a film this is. So tightly told. And it looks exciting and charming. A real gem from the studio.
Cinderella (1950) - the part when the grand duke is talking to the king about how the prince would react if the girl of his dreams showed up to the ball and they show the prince reacting to cindy walking into the ballroom, good shit. the message of "a dream is a wish your heart makes" gets a bad rap, but it's a pretty song and sentiment. also this movie has one of my favorite animated scenes where lady tremaine wakes up the stepsisters to tell them about the slipper and cinderella slowly realizes she danced with the prince the night before and she has this dreamy look on her face and then lady tremaine figures what's up and they pull in on her glowing green eyes and it's over for her. also I think this is one of the most gorgeous and elegant animated films. cinderelly, cinderelly!
The Little Mermaid (1989) - this probably wouldn't be on my list a few years ago, but with the live action adaptation this year and its entry into the National Film Registry, I've been reconsidering this movie and it's such a joyous and ✨ magical ✨ animated work with an emotional center that connects with so many who watch it. the YEARNING. ashman understood it. also, glen keane's (i believe he animated this part?) animation on the part of your world reprise is glorious with that fucking hair, pat carroll and the design of ursula, a heavenly match. and menken's delightful score. it's so good.
Aladdin (1992) - this is actually my number one personal fave, it's the VHS tape I watched the most growing up, but I think this is a good placement for it. It's beautiful to look at, it's a full-fledged animated comedy, it's the last of howard ashman's contributions, "friend like me" is one of the best animated sequences ever, aladdin was my first animated crush, i still stan jasmine, it spawned a pretty terrific spinoff series, jonathan freeman's cackle is the best villain cackle, and of course, robin. also, ron clements and john musker are kings.
Lilo & Stitch (2002) - the more time passes, the more I think this film proves itself to be a grand achievement in the canon. the amount of sentiment is just right, stitch is an entertaining creation and his connection with lilo is relatable, i mean the ending scene always gets me with the "it's broken but still good", also the fact that not another film in the canon looks like this one makes it stand out. and the ending shot of stitch's picture attached to the weathered family photo, ugh. it's also a love letter to "weird little kids". i love it.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) - i mean, yeah. it's scary, it's silly, the queen's transformation into the hag still rules. "one song" is an underrated song.
The Emperor’s New Groove (2000) - this movie is legendary. the story of how it came to be is insane. i read that there is actually no completed screenplay of the movie??? that's how much they had to scramble to put this together? i would also put this on a list of great comedy films. eartha kitt, eartha kitt. i don't know what things would look like if we actually got kingdom of the sun, but we are so lucky to have this hilarious movie.

miguel has this thing...
he likes to watch you shoving your fingers inside your pussy while he just stands there and watches
its torture to just watch you moan and whimper as you desperately try to bring yourself to an orgasm.
he wants to help. he really does.
but would you let him? he just caught you masturbating because he was lucky that you left the door to your bedroom open.
but god-- this turns him on so much...
watching the way you moan and how your face shows your pleasure with your slick running down from your finger to your wrist.
he has to bite his lip to not let an groan when he watches the sight in front of him, his sharp teeth sinking into his soft lips.
so after that incident where he silently watched you masturbate, he could not get that imagine out of his head since.
seeing you like that bloomed multiple fantasias in his head like he was a teenager that just discovered porn.
i mean dont even get him started on your pussy--
its so pretty. he just wishes he could slide his cock up and down your folds and watch you whine for him to put it it.
he wishes you would invite him to help you out instead of using those fingers of yours that he doubts could reach anything.
fuck. sometimes he wishes he could just barge into your room while your sleeping and rip your panties apart and then let his tongue ruin you.
he wishes you would ride his cock, let him be inside you. you would look so pretty bouncing on his dick.
he wants to cum in you so bad
he wants to make you a mommy. god-- the things he would do for you to have his kids.
he would never really admit it but he wants you to bounce on his dick till his seeing stars and calling out your name in desperate.
''huff-- huff-- y-y/n...god- ah- fuck-''
he would grab your hips to try and control the movement of your hips, because no- he does not want to cum yet. he doesnt want this moment to end yet. not yet, not ever.
''f-fucking-- ahah- hell...s-slow down, love.''
but despite him not wanting the moment to end anytime soon, he cant really stop you, because you feel so good. squeezing him so nicely that his cock twitches inside your pussy.
and even after he cums and fills you up all the way, he'll still refuse to pull out. he wants to stay connected to you. he wants to stay inside you.
and that would lead to him overstimulating both of you and leading to him cumming inside you once again, while he growls in your ear.
when he does eventually pull out though, he would pant heavily and have you trapped in his arms in a warm and tight hug.
but once he does recover, he would waste no time in flipping you over so you laid on your stomach.
he would have a firm grip on your hips as he dragged you closer to him by gripping them.
''my turn, cariño''

TKATB: More theories! Yay!
This most certainly will contain spoilers for Days 1 and 2 of @fantasia-kitt 's 'The Kid At The Back', along with containing mentions of material found on her Twitter (https://twitter.com/fantasia_kitt).
WILL HAVE SPOILERS! IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED THROUGH DAYS 1 AND 2, I RECOMMEND FINISHING THEM FIRST.
Quite a lot of these may allude to the ones I posted a week(?) ago, but my brain has brained REALLY HARD (almost as hard as when I get when I see Geo) and I think I have more ideas/more specified ideas of what could happen.
- So, I am correct in assuming the fact that the Hallow's Ball is on Day 5 (because Day 1 is in fact Monday); now this might be a stretch, in fact, it probably is, but due to the fact the Higher Class paid a visit to the school, maybe some of them might show up? Or maybe the people who bullied Brittney (think the food fight route) try to publically humiliate her or something, because something tells me she's got a lot of enemies, and something pretty bad is gonna happen to her.
- Geo is mentioned to have been disqualified due to 'accidentally' shooting an arrow at another person and it cutting their hair. Jess mentions we'd have to go 'next year' to see him partake again, so I'm gonna guess this competition is an annual thing. Maybe (and I'm assuming this as well) Geo and Hyugo were part of the Higher Class (because their dad works with the city's Founder, so that's gotta be High Class if I've ever heard it), but they were moved down. Geo is seemingly using archery to try and get selected to return back to the Higher Class, but if so, why get purposefully disqualified over almost potentially killing someone? Maybe, someone *really* pissed him off, or maybe got him sent down for whatever reason (we know Geo has daddy issues so maybe his father treats him like shit because of it) and he's subtly trying to threaten them?
- Along with that, MC wonders why he didn't get arrested. Think about it, he's got money, a lot of it. Hyugo says how corrupt this city is, their father (I believe Geo is an illegitimate child, due to the mother cheating or smth idk) probably paid the cops to not give a shit.
- Hyugo also has a LOT of connections, is often MIA, and is in the student council, so he's got influence. (Maybe adding salt to Geo's wounds indirectly?) I have a feeling he goes MIA for his syndicate activities (he has access to sleeping pills); and maybe because he's part of the council and gets stupidly high ass grades, nobody questions it. Besides, he's probably got some sketchy operations going on to maintain it all.
- With Crowe asking about Marie Antoinette, I now feel that our 'responses' to whether she was a good or horrible person are things HE did. "She was ignorant, she raved while people were starving..." - MC to Crowe when choosing the 'She was a horrible person' choice. I'll ignore the latter part for now, because that was a normal thing for rich people to do at the time. But the ignorant part is interesting. Maybe the reason Crowe is so nice (and it's not a facade, according to Fantasia herself) is because he's trying to redeem himself? Sol, if you don't skip class and let him escort you, states: "Ichabod (Crowe's surname) it's always been you. I should have dealt with him years ago..." So, maybe, at some point, Crowe had a pristine relationship with his family, mother specifically, (he doesn't anymore) and the reasoning behind this is due to the fact he believed he was superior? Maybe he was even a bully at some point? Hell, maybe he even made fun of Sol, and Sol wants to obliterate him for it. He (Crowe) was making him (Sol), and now he is trying to steal his so(u)lmate?! How fucking dare he?!
- Brittney also states that she's astonished about how Deryl has almost no friends, so I think that's incredibly fascinating, because it's true. How does a bubbly, happy jock like him get ignored by so many? Maybe because he helped Brittney (along with Jess) when she was low?
- Again, about Brittney, I feel that that frat party 2 years ago shattered her reputation, her image, everything. I bet some damaging info got spread about her and it led to her 'mysteriously' leaving the cheerleading squad, becoming more isolated and essentially (I'm assuming this) getting moved down with Jess. (Check previous one for why I think Jess got moved down as well, but tldr is she lost her shit, maybe got physical and it got her and Brittney sent to the worse school together). - On Fantasia's twitter, there's a Day 3 nsfw image of Sol essentially standing in front of a mirror with blood everywhere (ill link the slideshow that i have of every image i found/liked), anyway it's the right one on slide 9; with the caption "All I see are flaws"....so maybe if you ignore him on Day 3 and hang out with Crowe, he'll start losing his shit? Maybe thinking he isn't good enough? - Also, in the Day 2 NSFW scene, there are some prominent burn marks on Sol's back...does he get abused to this day? Does he live alone and they're scars?????? Maybe that's what he meant when he says "I've been dealt worse" in relation to the bullying? He does have history with them after all.
So. That's basically it, brain will continue to brain. Until then, ciao. (and yes the Geo fanfic is coming dw) Slides: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Wb_biHRk6g1gKj0WZ5XVwEtKGjFRTapDYerlEyhYPGE/edit#slide=id.g2cffd4cd112_0_34

I wanted to write something about benchmark for two days and even made 2 small posts. In one I was a little upset, in the second it seemed to me that everything might not be so bad... In general, I'd rather hide this, there will probably be a lot of sadness, please don't read this if you don't want to see something sad. Maybe I'll delete it all later. I will not delete this post. I'll put the right tags and let it stay here. I want other people who feel the same way right now to see that they are not alone.
I have two pictures that I should have finished, but instead I spent two days on the forum trying to do at least something in a feeble attempt to save her face.
I described the facts, I took a billion screenshots, I whined, I left a bunch of messages in a bunch of different threads in the hope that they would be noticed, I reported a bug in the bugs section, I even left a message on the Japanese forum.
All I can think about is that on this beautiful ocean and on this beautiful ship, she and I will sit and try to accept the fact that she was crippled by an evil plastic surgeon. And all this instead of joy and anticipation of new adventures. All I hope is that this will be fixed before 7.0 is released. I am still an optimist (although now it may not seem like it, but I am truly an optimist).
One my dear friend said that I am very attached to her. This is true. And I feel that I have to do at least something so that this horror remains only in the benchmark.
This is how she now looks in any directional light. In the benchmark movie too. Wherever the light hits, she looks like this.
Tumblr media
I don't think it should be like that. It's obviously not just a change in the shape of her lips, it's a mistake in the lower part of her face that's giving her a huge, horizontal, ugly hollow that runs across her mouth and cheeks. The top of her face is fine.
She definitely looks better with her back to the light, but her sweet smile has disappeared.
Tumblr media
I made a comparison collage and it became clear to me that although all miqo faces are affected by this in one way or another, her face type was affected much more than the other 3 and it is most noticeable on this face and this type of lips.
I met another person on the forum with a similar character and the same type of face and she told me that she felt and saw everything the same as me.
There were opinions that in the “new” lighting her old little dimples at the corners of her mouth could turn into this because “they didn’t touch her face.” This is wrong. I looked at her from all angles "before and after", under all possible lighting and obviously there had been changes in the shape of her face in this area.
The lips became flat and depressed. Their previous form was completely deformed.
Tumblr media
I won't change her with fantasia. I have never changed she and will not do so. I'm just really sad right now and I hope this gets fixed.
If not... oh well. I'll fix it myself. That's the plan :)

wow you’re the first person i’ve seen actually support the retcon, that’s cool
i’ve always been neutral on it but would you be down with explaining your opinions on the retcon?
so my number one feeling is that the way homestuck is most like a game is not in its framing or its many subsystems within itself, but in that homestuck is a challenge to the reader first and foremost. it challenges a lot of existing preconceptions about what stories are, what stories can be.
sometimes this is in some stupid ways, but a lot of the time, it's in very palateable ways. hussie describes stuff like the juxtaposition of the earthbound walksprite panels and hussnasty mode as a "creative power move", something that keeps readers on their toes, something which kind of prods at your expectations and why you have those expectations.
and it helps to ask, what challenge is homestuck presenting to me, the reader, by doing this. this is the repeated motion of homestuck, like. "oh, what, it's insane that there's a whole playable game", "oh, what, it's insane that the fallout and consequences of an entire session of the game is being given in just three walkarounds". rose's arc is a challenge to the idea of a "coming of age" story, how do you come of age into a world where the metrics for growth and maturity and adulthood are denied to you? what if "adulthood" and "maturity" were fake ideas all along? well, if nothing matters, maybe you should have a drink to rest your mind about it.
one of the most direct challenges is the challenge of what death means in a story - there are a lot of stories where death is a bad end for a character. an impactful enough character death can change culture around itself for as long as it remains relevant. but that's not what death is in homestuck. death in homestuck is the freedom from being in homestuck. this is most prevalent with its deployment of gnostic ideas - yaldabaoth's treasure being homestuck itself expresses this most directly. the creator has made a flawed world and encourages the suffering of its inhabitants.
death is freedom from this flawed world, and this is expressed in terezi: remem8er. characters who did terrible things, horrible things, unforgiveable things, can find peace in death.
and i think the retcon is far and away the headiest challenge, the final boss of storytelling in homestuck's terms, because it directly challenges the idea of continuity, which is, by the way, TOTALLY FAKE.
continuity isnt actually real, its a thing youre actively constructing as you read. the drawings, the words, the music, the animation, the gameplay - all these things can help shape the idea of art, but the art itself, that's produced by you, the reader. and i think this is a good time to switch over to talking about the never-ending story for a moment.
the never-ending story is a story about atreyu. he goes on a fantasy quest, one which involves the death of his beloved steed artax, the plight of the world of fantasia, and confrontations with the nothing, this devouring force which threatens to end it. and ultimately, he loses. the forces of the nothing are just too overwhelming for a fictional character to overcome. the stakes are too high, no ending could be satisfactory and not contrived.
but then he doesn't lose.
because the never-ending story, the movie, is about bastian, and the relationship and empathy he builds with atreyu as he follows him on his adventure, and bastian, as the reader, is capable of caring about atreyu and fantasia even as it's been reduced to nothing. and its bastian caring about it, and bringing his own context, his own experiences - the name of his dead mother - to the story, that allows it to be reborn as something that can be completed.
and then he rides on the big luck dragon falkor and barfs on the bullies from the start of the movie.
homestuck is doing the same thing, but filtered through the language of video games. if youre playing ff9 and lose to black waltz #3 or whatever, it's a video game, that's to be expected. just do better next time. you wiped on the trial, it's normal, regroup and pull again. youve got 90 minutes. and in that time, in that regression, you become the kind of person who could overcome that challenge.
and it's a powerful challenge! it's one most readers don't overcome, because they are still stuck in the terms of thinking about things in what they expect out of it, instead of what it is. and this is kind of the core idea of homestuck.
hussie put it the best themself:
Homestuck, as an examination of all forms of creative practice, whether cosmic or artistic, isolates the tension between perfect, celebrated idealization and specific, flawed instantiation. The purity of the ideal is what's initially sought, but the imperfection of the specific is what has true value. Conflict and suffering arise from the guilt and stress associated with overvaluing the former. Deliverance and humanity come from recognizing and embracing the latter.
and honestly, i like what the retcon does for basically all the characters it changes dramatically. people take issue with rose's alcoholism plotline being resolved with vriska_slap.png but i don't really, because rose's alcoholism isn't like, of itself if that makes sense. it's alcoholism as an extension of nihilism, in a way that doesn't reflect real alcoholism, but it doesn't have to. s'a story. things can mean things nonliterally.
and vriska regresses as a character, but i think this specific regression is the core of homestuck. you get the platonic ideal of vriska-ness, one who didn't see and feel the trauma she inflicted on tavros, one who has completely supplanted gamzee's role as the plot-mover guide in the alpha session. and one who only makes token gestures at reparations and atonement for her misdeeds. one who is still obsessed with being at the center. and between 2016 and 2019, i was so certain that she had died a heroic death in act 7 that it is an immovable core plot point of my own comic.
(homework: why would homestuck call act 7 the rapture?)
and like, those pre-retcon characters literally do still exist, they show up in remem8er. remem8er goes unbelievably hard on giving every single dead character in the comic the best catharsis available to them: deliverance from having to be in homestuck. and i mean that entirely sincerely! the best ending for a homestuck character is not being in homestuck. and that's a tough thing for people to get their minds around.
but again, it kind of comes naturally with taking homestuck as it is, and thinking intently about what it's doing, what conventions it's challenging and how it's challenging them. because sometimes it's deeply stupid (decade-plus of thought on the matter has not made the incest any more palateable or understandable)
but sometimes it's the best shit in the whole world

Michael Sheen: Prince Andrew, Port Talbot and why I quit Hollywood
When Michael Sheen had an idea for a dystopian TV series based in his home town of Port Talbot, in which riots erupt when the steel works close, he had no idea said works would actually close — a month before the show came to air. “Devastating,” he says, simply, of last month’s decision by Tata Steel to shut the plant’s two blast furnaces and put 2,800 jobs at risk.
“Those furnaces are part of our psyche,” he says. “When the Queen died we talked about how psychologically massive it was for the country because people couldn’t imagine life without her. The steel works are like that for Port Talbot.”
Sheen’s show — The Way — was never meant to be this serious. The BBC1 three-parter is directed by Sheen, was written by James Graham and has the montage king Adam Curtis on board as an executive producer. The plot revolves around a family who, when the steel works are closed by foreign investors, galvanise the town into a revolt that leads to the Welsh border being shut. Polemical, yes, but it has a lightness of touch. “A mix of sitcom and war film,” Sheen says, beaming.
But that was then. Now it has become the most febrile TV show since, well, Mr Bates vs the Post Office. “We wanted to get this out quickly,” Sheen says. With heavy surveillance, police clamping down on protesters and nods to Westminster abandoning parts of the country, the series could be thought of as a tad political. “The concern was if it was too close to an election the BBC would get nervous.”
I meet Sheen in London, where he is ensconced in the National Theatre rehearsing for his forthcoming starring role in Nye, a “fantasia” play based on the life of the NHS founder, Labour’s Aneurin “Nye” Bevan. He is dressed down, with stubble and messy hair, and is a terrific raconteur, with a lot to discuss. As well as The Way and Nye, this year the actor will also transform himself into Prince Andrew for a BBC adaptation of the Emily Maitlis Newsnight interview.
Sheen has played a rum bunch, from David Frost to Tony Blair and Chris Tarrant. And we will get to Bevan and Andrew, but first Wales, where Sheen, 55, was born in 1969 and, after a stint in Los Angeles, returned to a few years ago. He has settled outside Port Talbot with his partner, Anna Lundberg, a 30-year-old actress, and their two children. Sheen’s parents still live in the area, so the move was partly for family, but mostly to be a figurehead. The actor has been investing in local arts, charities and more, putting his money where his mouth is to such an extent that there is a mural of his face up on Forge Road.
“It’s home,” Sheen says, shrugging, when I ask why he abandoned his A-list life for southwest Wales. “I feel a deep connection to it.” The seed was sown in 2011 when he played Jesus in Port Talbot in an epic three-day staging of the Passion, starring many locals who were struggling with job cuts and the rising cost of living in their town. “Once you become aware of difficulties in the area you come from you don’t have to do anything,” he says, with a wry smile. “You can live somewhere else, visit family at Christmas and turn a blind eye to injustice. It doesn’t make you a bad person, but I’d seen something I couldn’t unsee. I had to apply myself, and I might not have the impact I’d like, but the one thing that I can say is that I’m doing stuff. I know I am — I’m paying for it!”
The Way is his latest idea to boost the area. The show, which was shot in Port Talbot last year, employed residents in front of and behind the camera. The extras in a scene in which fictional steel workers discuss possible strike action came from the works themselves. How strange they will feel watching it now. The director shakes his head. “It felt very present and crackling.”
One line in the show feels especially crucial: “The British don’t revolt, they grumble.” How revolutionary does Sheen think Britain is? “It happens in flare-ups,” he reasons. “You could say Brexit was a form of it and there is something in us that is frustrated and wants to vent. But these flare-ups get cracked down, so the idea of properly organised revolution is hard to imagine. Yet the more anger there is, the more fear about the cost of living crisis. Well, something’s got to give.”
I mention the Brecon Beacons. “Ah, yes, Bannau Brycheiniog,” Sheen says with a flourish. Last year he spearheaded the celebration of the renaming of the national park to Welsh, which led some to ponder whether Sheen might go further in the name of Welsh nationalism. Owen Williams, a member of the independence campaigners YesCymru, described him to me as “Nye Bevan via Che Guevara” and added that the actor might one day be head of state in an independent Wales.
Sheen bursts out laughing. “Right!” he booms. “Well, for a long time [the head of state] was either me or Huw Edwards, so I suppose that’s changed.” He laughs again. “Gosh. I don’t know what to say.” Has he, though, become a sort of icon for an independent Wales? “I’ve never actually spoken about independence,” he says. “The only thing I’ve said is that it’s worth a conversation. Talking about independence is a catalyst for other issues that need to be talked about. Shutting that conversation down is of no value at all. People say Wales couldn’t survive economically. Well, why not? And is that good? Is that a good reason to stay in the union?”
On a roll, he talks about how you can’t travel from north to south Wales by train without going into England because the rail network was set up to move stuff out of Wales, not round it. He mentions the collapse of local journalism and funding cuts to National Theatre Wales, and says these are the conversations he wants to have — but where in Wales are they taking place?
So, for Sheen, the discussion is about thinking of Wales as independent in identity, not necessarily as an independent state? “As a living entity,” he says, is how he wants people to think about his country. “It’s much more, for me, about exploring what that cultural identity of now is, rather than it being all about the past,” he says. “We had a great rugby team in the 1970s, but it’s not the 1970s anymore and, yes, male-voice choirs make us cry, but there are few left. Mines aren’t there either. All the things that are part of the cultural identity of Wales are to do with the past and, for me, it’s much more about exploring what is alive about Welsh identity now.”
You could easily forget that Sheen is an actor. He calls himself a “not for profit” thesp, meaning he funds social projects, from addiction to disability sports. “I juggle things more,” he says. “Also I have young kids again and I don’t want to be away much.”
Sheen has an empathetic face, a knack of making the difficult feel personable. And there are two big roles incoming — a relief to fans.
Which leads us to Prince Andrew. “Of course it does.” This year he plays the troubled duke in A Very Royal Scandal — a retelling of the Emily Maitlis fiasco with Ruth Wilson as the interviewer. Does the show go to Pizza Express in Woking? “No,” Sheen says, grinning. Why play the prince? He thinks about this a lot. “Inevitably you bring humanity to a character — that’s certainly what I try to do.” He pauses. “I don’t want people to say, ‘It was Sheen who got everybody behind Andrew again.’ But I also don’t want to do a hatchet job.”
So what is he trying to do? “Well, it is a story about privilege really,” he says. “And how easy it is for privilege to exploit. We’ve found a way of keeping the ambiguity, because, legally, you can’t show stuff that you cannot prove, but whether guilty or not, his privilege is a major factor in whatever exploitation was going on. Beyond the specifics of Andrew and Epstein, no matter who you are, privilege has the potential to exploit someone. For Andrew, it’s: ‘This girl is being brought to me and I don’t really care where she comes from, or how old she is, this is just what happens for people like me.’”
It must have been odd having the prince and Bevan — the worst and best of our ruling classes — in his head at the same time. What, if anything, links the men? “What is power and what can you do with it?” Sheen muses, which seems to speak to his position in Port Talbot too. Nye at the National portrays the Welsh politician on his deathbed, in an NHS hospital, moving through his memories while doped up on meds. Sheen wants the audience to think: “Is there a Bevan in politics now and, if not, why not?”
Which takes us back to The Way. At the start one rioter yells about wanting to “change everything” — he means politically, sociologically. However, assuming that changing everything is not possible, what is the one thing Sheen would change? “Something practical? Not ‘I want world peace’. I would create a people’s chamber as another branch of government — like the Lords, there’d be a House of People, representing their community. Our political system has become restrictive and nonrepresentational, so something to open that up would be good.”
The actor is a thousand miles from his old Hollywood life. “It’d take a lot for me to work in America again — my life is elsewhere.” It is in Port Talbot instead. “The last man on the battlefield” is how one MP describes the steel works in The Way, and Sheen is unsure what happens when that last man goes. “Some people say it’s to do with net zero aims,” he says about the closure. “Others blame Brexit. But, ultimately, the people of Port Talbot have been let down — and there is no easy answer about what comes next.”

———————————————————————
He felt like he was in a dream. He had to have been dead on the field to be experiencing this, right, he thought. König never saw a woman as gorgeous and godly as you. A deity; an otherworldly being. You had to be. Everytime he saw you, it felt like the first time.
When you gave him that knee-weakening plea in your eyes as you suckled his thumb and whispered a quiet but lustful, “Please, mein herz.~”
Fuck, he was glad he’d taken the time to teach you his native tongue. It rolled off yours so perfect and melodically like the Gregorian chants of Notredame. Ethereal while it left a haunting but pleasurable tremble run through him to make him feel reborn again.
If he had to choose, König’s favorite parts of you would be your hands, lips, and skin. He didn’t believe you; he even laughed when you told him you were insecure about your skin the first time until you began telling him all the struggles that came with its color and culture.
Everything you assumed you had every right to hate because of it it, König adored. He loved learning about everything you and your people were and accomplished just as much as you liked learning about his own heritage. Even the bad parts he woefully lamented about when that bridge was crossed.
Your hands that caressed his insecurities, scars, and lines on his body before holding his face and playing with his hair drove him wild. There weren’t very many times where he wouldn’t put you in a trance from the longing lust in his seductive eyes when that happened. One of you ended up on your knees every time.
Tonight, those emotions ran fiercer. Your touches were accompanied by the coolness of your new dainty diamond engagement ring while the fiery desire from his fingertips burned and stung your skin like a jolt of pleasurable electricity. It all played like a lucid dream. Unreal, heavenly, and almost like every motion was mirrored like an ethereal fantasia dream sequence.
The synchronization of your sounds was a sensual cacophony of what König would call true love. You; safety and freedom. He whispered against your neck while he peppered delicate, passionate kisses, “I’ve wanted you for so long, meine leibe. I was so scared you’d never feel the same. I’m glad…so glad.”
Your back arched into his body as you exposed your neck more with a hot, breathy moan, “König…you’re all I want. You’re all I’ve wanted..all I’ll ever want.”
His large hand took your own, locking your fingers together as he rutted his hips into the hot space between your legs, slow but assertive, “I’m all yours. I belong to you know, mein leibe. I’ll take good care of you, blume. I’ll never let another man take you away from me.”
The deep growl in his possessiveness made your stomach flip and your thighs squeeze his hips, followed by a whimpering moan, “F-…fuck. I wouldn’t let that happen, daddy. Never.”
His eyes darkened and you let a much louder moan escape your throat in surprise as he gave one strong thrust, “Say that again,” he commanded.
You whined and he slapped your naked thigh, “Quickly. Don’t tease me, darling. Say it.”
“Im…I’m yours…daddy.”
He shuddered and you held back a moan at the jingling of his belt and zipper, “That’s right. Das ist mein mädchen. Now,” he whispered against your stomach, pulling your panties down your already trembling legs, “Lass uns anfangen.”

To Know Your Heart Is a Brave Thing
💜📱…Flowerbyte drabble (but also not a drabble cus I lack self-control) @vhstown @noharaaa anybody let me know if you wanna be tagged for flowerbyte fics or any other fics
“I feel like you being passive aggressive right now, listening to this song while you talking to me.”
🎶If you don’t want me then don’t talk to me…
“Go ahead and free yourself,” Margo sang to Miles, picking up the lyrics.
Miles shook his head with a grin and Margo matched it before lowering the volume of the music playing through her speakers.
She’d been blasting music all day from various different genres, though she did agree that maybe “Free Yourself” by Fantasia was a bad selection for the moment.
Plus that song was old even in Miles’ world, it was pretty much ancient in hers.
She flicked one of her hands in the air, shuffling her playlist and turning the volume back up simultaneously.
The beginning of “Let Me Love You” by Mario started playing and Margo grinned.
It was still an old song but she knew Miles had a soft spot for it.
He smacked his lips and gave her a wry look.
“Don’t try to butter me up now Ms. Kess.”
“Boy, nobody’s buttering you up, I put my playlist on shuffle.”
A cocky grin spread over his face and Margo rolled her eyes, but her stomach still flipped.
“Even your algorithms like me.”
Though she rolled her eyes again, she knew there was truth in his statement.
In the four months they’d been dating, Margo has noticed the way the world around seems to have changed. Both the physical world and the virtual-verse.
She’d started exploring the physicality of the world around her thanks to her many visits to E-1610.
She walked through the same park where she and Miles hung out for the first time.
She had walked it before maybe once or twice, but after visiting Miles it was like the whole place lit up. She felt drawn to the spots she’d recognized from Miles’ world.
It was like there was something pulling her to sit under a certain tree or rest her hands against a certain fence.
And when she did, her heart would fill with an inexplicable sort of warmth that she knew only came from Miles.
She knew she probably looked crazy to the rare onlooker as she stood in the middle of a nearly deserted park, all alone and with a dumb smile on her face. But she still made it a top priority to visit it at least once a week.
It had become her happy place, and before Miles she didn’t even think it was possible for her to find solace in reality.
She’d never expressed these thoughts to him, she didn’t even know how, but she was sure he knew.
Margo wasn’t completely confident in how her connection with technology worked but Miles’ comment about her algorithms wasn’t too far off.
“I’m so tired, this song might just put me to sleep.”
Margo is pulled back into the present by Miles’ voice.
He’s lying down on his stomach with his phone propped up in front of him. His eyes are low and he blinks them rapidly in effort to stay awake.
Margo feels that warmth in her heart spark up at the lazy smile that’s spread across his face.
"Why are you still up if you're so tired?"
He yawns and his eyes drop a little lower as he rests his chin on the pillow in front of him.
"We haven't talked in a while, this is worth staying up for."
A wide grin splits Margo's face and she ducks from the camera to try and tamp it down.
When she reappears it's still just as big and bright, but Miles is looking at her with eyes that are a little less tired and a soft small of his own, so she knows they're sharing the same feeling.
A physical connection being reciprocated across highly advanced technology and between two teens in different worlds.
"You still need to go to sleep," she says.
He hums and looks away for a second.
"Are you uh...busy tomorrow?"
Her grin widens again but she doesn't hide this time.
"Nope. I'm completely free all day, which is very rare so I should really take the opportunity to do something special."
"Well then a very special person might come to see you."
"Very special, huh?"
"Yup."
They both laugh softly and Margo finds herself lost in his boyish grin and soft eyes.
She's pleased that he seems to be equally as fond of the cheesy grin that has yet to leave her face.
"Goodnight, Miles."
"Goodnight Miss Kess."
There's another shared laugh and then the holo-screen in front of her goes black. Her reflection shows a girl charmed-sparkling eyes, a wide smile, and straining cheeks.
These are the only times her reflection truly matches her real feelings.
This was inspired by "Young Love" by Cleo Sol

My thoughts on the new Hifuu Album
Well, Taboo Japan Disentanglement just came out! after reading the story and listening to the tracks, I thought I'd share my thoughts on the album!
Tumblr media
The tracks
I'm going to go through the album tracks in order and give my individual thoughts on them.
1 - Morning Comes on Tanabata Hill (Original)
This is surprisingly emotional for an opening track. The new drum set here is wonderful, and the piano is soothing and atmospheric. I do think the melody is kind of all over the place though, and it's a bit hard to follow. All in all, a really nice calming song.
2 - Tinkerbell of Inequality (Original)
I've been excited to listen to this one ever since the album got announced because of the interesting title, and HOLY SHIT THIS SONG IS AMAZING. The instrumentation is so weird but oh so good. The track is ominous but jazzy. The melody is catchy. It reminds me of GFC and CoSD, with it's apocalyptic futuristic vibe. This is easily the best track in the album. Solid.
3 - Does the Forbidden Door Lead to This World, or the World Beyond? (HSiFS arrangement)
Now we get to the arrangements. The song is sporting a new drum set and piano, and I can safely say that the instrumentation is a huge improvement to the original. To be frank, I'm not too much of a fan of HSiFS's instrumentation, now don't get me wrong, the songs are great, but they suffer a bit because the instruments ZUN uses are a bit lackluster. Here, that is not the case, this a great arrange. Something I do want to note, is that the BPM of the arranges seems to be lowered a bit from their original counterparts. Not a bad thing, but it's interesting to keep in mind as you keep listening.
4 - Smoking Dragon (UM arrangement)
HOOOOOOLYYYYYY SHIIIIIIIT. The key change. the new drumset. the new, climactic/triumphant atmosphere. The new section added in??? It's all so perfect, this does the original song justice. I love this so much. One of my favorite arranges in the whole album.
5 - Mugen Noh ~ Taboo Marionette (Original)
This song is calming, but sinister sounding as well. It hits a nice balance of calming and uneasy. The instrumentation, once again, is really good here. I do feel that the electric guitar a bit later in feels a bit out of place, but in general, the song creates a really good atmosphere, and it's definitely a standout track.
6 - Crazy Backup Dancers (HSiFS arrangement)
I don't really have much to say about this one, other than that it's a fairy good arrangement of the original song. ZUN added a new synth(?) into the mix, which gives it a distinct sound from the original. It's fun!
7 - Yorimashi Between Dreams and Reality ~ Necro-Fantasia (AoCF arrange)
ZUN. you can't keep getting away with this. This is peak. The song has a newly added intro of the Necrofantasia main theme before the song kicks in, and WOW does it create an atmosphere. The instrumentation is once again great and the key change (that just dissapears half-way through lmao) is also really cool. This is a great track.
8 - The Lonesome Path in Hitachi (Original)
A surprisingly upbeat track given the title. It's composed in swing rhythm, and because of that, it kinda reminds me of Let's Live in a Lovely Cemetery and Like the Brilliance of Fairies. Not that that's a bad thing, but it does make it sand out a bit less for me. Still a good track, though! Also ZUN chill out with those reverbs
9 - The Lamentations Known Only by Jizo (WBaWC arrange)
I like the new choir here, it makes it sound more dramatic. I am a bit disappointment that the flute kind of overshadows the Spooky Lead from the original, but it's not a bad arrangement at all. And man this drum set is really doing wonders rn
10 - The Concealed Four Seasons (HSiFS arrange)
WOW. TALK ABOUT A GREAT FINALE. This arrangement tweaks just enough without completely changing the vibe of the original song, and it's fantastic. About halfway through, there's a key change that makes it sort of feel like a phase 2 to the song, and it really completes the whole package. Fantastic.
11 - Apparitions Abound Even Outside of Night (Original)
Oh cool, what a nice, calming, uplifting trac- ZUN WHAT ARE YOU DOING. So the song starts off very calming and atmospheric, and then turns into digi-rock like a minute in. It's kind of jarring but I think it works, the song is still fantastic, and does a good job wrapping things up for the album, and the story. Speaking of which...
The story (spoiler warning)
Without going into too much detail, because I highly recommend you read the story on your own, the predictions of Merry and Renko being separated where not exactly wrong, although I think the story was a lot less heartbreaking than everyone thought it would've been. It serves as a nice drama and really shows how these characters relate to each other. Seeing Renko drop everything just to save Merry shows that even if they get on the wrong foot, they're still the Hifuu club, through and through.
In conclusion, this album is absolutely stellar. ZUN's instrumentation this time around is incredibly diverse, and I can tell he was having fun experimenting. The story is also well written, showcasing these two characters and their conflicting yet similar ideals. Please, go give this album a listen! It may have been 8 years since the last hifuu album, but it was definitely worth the wait.

Repercussions of Folly
“I made a mistake,” Tony said. Stephen paused, taking stock of Tony’s tone of voice. Not desperate or terrified, so whatever his mistake was, it wasn’t about to break reality or anything like that.
“What did you do?”
Tony was quiet for a moment. “I made Peter and Harley paintball guns. And because that wasn’t enough, Ned and MJ showed up.”
Stephen grimaced, that was definitely a problem. “Yes, that would be—“
“Oh, that wasn’t the mistake. That was the prelude to the mistake,” Tony interrupted.
Stephen put down his book, because Harley and Peter with paintball guns was bad enough. How was that the prelude to the mistake? The two of them had probably already made a mess of the training grounds, ambushed half the Avengers, and accidentally ingested the paint somehow.
How he didn’t know, but he also didn’t doubt it.
Tony had hopefully foreseen that though and made the paint non-toxic for just that inevitability.
Peter and Harley were absolute menaces. That wasn’t even taking into account how much worse they were when being egged on, which both Ned and MJ would do, though for different reasons. Ned because he genuinely thought it would be a good idea, MJ because she liked to court chaos.
“What did you do?” he asked again. Because things could only get worse if that wasn’t the mistake.
“Look, DUM-E was feeling left out!” Tony defended, but the defense fell short. He knew exactly what he’d done and knew Stephen wouldn’t have any sympathy for him. “I couldn’t stand it. He was moping, dragging the fire extinguisher around like a teddy bear and making those little sad beeping noises he does when I throw out the oil-tainted coffee.”
“And just like when you throw out the coffee, you need to learn to resist. You don’t drink oil-tainted coffee to make DUM-E feel better, just like you don’t give DUM-E a paintball gun he can use.”
Though Stephen was, he admitted, curious to see how Tony had managed that when DUM-E had only the one claw. But he also didn’t put it past Tony to manage it.
“But, Stephen—“
Stephen shook his head, despite the fact that Tony couldn’t see it. “No. You do not give DUM-E paintball guns.”
“U felt left out, too.”
Stephen groaned. “Let me guess, your lab is a mess.”
Tony was quiet for a minute. “Maybe the whole compound? They wanted to join Harley and Peter and the others.”
Forget half the Avengers. Stephen was suddenly quite certain that every single one of them had fallen prey.
“Why, exactly, are you calling me?” Stephen was not, under any circumstances, going to be present at the compound until all paintball guns had been confiscated.
Absolutely not.
“Well, you see… I was hoping that, as my loving husband, you would help me with the whole ‘there’s paint everywhere’ issue. I’m making everyone who participated clean the training area by hand.” As he should. “But… uh, it’s a really big compound and there’s a lot of paint.”
“And why would I do that?” Stephen asked. “The mystic arts are not a cleaning tool.”
Tony scoffed. “You say that, and yet I saw you reenacting Fantasia.”
“That was once,” Stephen defended, automatically glancing to make sure that Wong wasn’t there to give him the evil eye again. “And you’d be lying if you said you wouldn’t do the same in my position.”
Tony scoffed. “Of course I would.”
“Wong explicitly told me I was an idiot for that.”
“But he didn’t say you couldn’t do it again,” Tony pointed out.
That… that was actually true. It’d been implied, but Stephen was a professional when it came to ignoring implications he didn’t want to accept. Which Wong knew. Which meant that if he hadn’t specifically said not to, then really, it was almost the same as blanket permission to.
“Plus,” Tony added. “I’m having a hard time grounding everyone. Well, everyone minus Ned and MJ who I have no authority to ground. I need you to be the disciplinarian.”
Stephen scoffed. “No. Disciplinarian duties belong to you, because you’re the one who let this happen.”
“Exactly. They’re not going to take me seriously when I… might have joined in.”
Stephen closed his eyes. Of course, of course Tony had joined in. Stephen almost felt bad for all the other Avengers stuck in that compound with Tony and the kids. …Though if he had to guess at least half of them had given into the inevitable and joined in as well.
Children, all of them.
“Fine. But the moment someone tries to get paint on me, I’m banishing them somewhere unpleasant.”
“I have confiscated all paintball guns,” Tony defended. “If anyone gets paint on you, it’s not my fault.”
Stephen scoffed. “Oh, it’s your fault. If I’m pretending to be the disciplinarian, you’re going to get a lecture with the kids.”
“Fair enough,” Tony admitted. “Now come save me from the repercussions of my own folly.”

Rambling about Fairies - Manga Chapter 202
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The two ship-based pairs in thie arc are actually... quite similar? The set up the upcoming couples, but other than that.
They both started off as enemies. Specifically, the S-class candidate in these teamups lost against their partners. Definitely people focus more on Gajevy and its problematic parts, but I feel it's not as emphasized how Evergreen turned Elfman into stone after curbstomping him in Fantasia. It's the same 'one sided defeat followed by being put on display/humiliated' situation.
I guess, sure, it was only a short fight and not nearly as bad as crucifying someone after marking her belly with the enemy's insignia, but like. I feel Elfgreen could have had an interestingly shaky development similar to Gajevy's powerful strides, if they didn't immediately focus on Tsundere and ganguro tropes. Not to say Gajevy was perfect or anything, they had their tremors, but like, Mashima knew where he was going with it.
Pointedly, Evergreen and Gajeel are both pushy and dominant, and Elfman and Levy are often just strung along their pace. (Especially in the case Evergreen fakes being engaged to Elfman to get past Mirajane.) Both of these pairs needed the help of their partners to get as far as they did on Tenrou. (Elfman definitely wouldn't have gotten past Mira if it wasn't for Evergreen being the crafty person she is, and well, Gajeel does literally save Levy.)
Elfman and Levy do pull their weight at times, but in the middle of the arc, they both break down crying because their partners are unconscious and they're mourning the fact they couldn't protect them better.
It's... a big thorough parallel, actually, I'm quite fascinated how far it goes. Maybe I'll follow them both along as we go through the arc's battles later on.

Story Guide: This installment takes place before Danger! and Party Time. However, it can probably be read out of order or as a standalone if you wish to read that way.
Tumblr media
“Keep your hand flat. I’m almost done,” you stress as you secure the bandage with some tape.
It’s not the best work, but you had limited supplies in the band’s first aid kit. If you’d known it was this scarce, you would have stocked it up with supplies. You can never be too careful when it comes to safety.
“Why did you hit him anyway?”
Hoseok stares straight ahead, zoned out with his left knee bouncing up and down. A tick of his that only appears when he’s angry or anxious.
You call his name and tap his arm, snapping him out of it and regaining his attention.
“Hm?” he hums.
With an eye roll, you repeat yourself.
“I was talking about Viper. Why’d you hit him in the first place?” you ask, running your thumb over the dressing to see if it’s sturdy enough to last through the performance. He winces when you come in contact with his knuckle. “Sorry.”
“You’re good. And it’s just some bullshit. Don’t worry about it,” he insists.
But you aren’t dumb.
“It was about me, wasn’t it?”
When Hoseok’s eyes widen, you get your answer.
“Hey, it’s nothing,” he lies.
You turn away from him, looking at your nails to distract yourself from the ugly truth of your presence here. They’ll never like you, so why even try?
“Maybe I should stop coming around,” you suggest. “This isn’t worth it.”
He’s behind you before you can even finish speaking, turning you around so he can see your face.
“Stop that, all right. I asked you to be here, and they have to accept that.”
You nod, but you still aren’t feeling any better about it. You don’t care much about what people think, but you don’t want friends fighting over you. It makes you feel so shitty.
“Look at me,” he requests, then uses his finger to tilt your chin up. In moments like this, you must remind yourself to take a step back. Feeding into any thoughts of Hoseok being more than a friend is dangerous, and you know you shouldn’t do it. “I want you around. That’s all that should matter—”
The door bursts open, revealing the band’s bass player, Ty.
“Jay, we got a problem.”
The look on his face indicates that something is wrong.
Hoseok scoffs. “We,” he points between himself and the man standing at the door, “sure do.”
“Uhh, sorry, bro. But there really is a huge problem,” he informs.
“Okay, spit it out. I don’t have all night.” Hoseok’s annoyance has him all tensed up, and you absentmindedly place your hand on his back, relieving some of the pressure momentarily.
Ty gazes at the site with curious eyes but thankfully asks no questions because you have no explanation on why you did it or why he actually relaxed under your touch.
“Well, um…Viper just quit, and we’ve got ten minutes until showtime,” Ty finally confesses.
Hoseok doesn’t bat an eye. However, your stomach drops to the floor. This isn’t good. Now you’ll definitely be kicked out of the circle. Viper’s the band’s drummer. They can’t perform without him.
You’re about to open your mouth to offer an apology and to plead with Hoseok to allow you to speak with Viper, but he speaks up before you can even find the words.
“Okay,” he shrugs. “Fuck him. Go check the equipment and make sure the bastard didn’t take anything. I’ll be out there in a second.”
Ty stands there in shock, his expression looking similar to yours. When he doesn’t move, Hoseok loses his patience.
“Dude, why are you still standing here?” His arms stretch out with an aggravated huff. “Go!”
The man scrambles out of there before Hoseok can throw another punch, and you stand in utter disbelief. How is he not upset? And how is he going to put on a show without a drummer?
Although, your answer comes sooner than later.
“You got your sticks, right?” he asks while grabbing his black leather gloves.
You nod.
“Yeah, always,” you confirm. “Why?”
The moment Hoseok throws you a smirk, your knees become weak, though you aren’t swooned for long.
“It’s time to use them,” he says, looking in the mirror to fluff out his hair. “Let’s go.”
But instead of following him, you stand in the same spot, babbling any excuse that comes to mind. Hoseok walks over to you and starts pulling you towards the door.
“I-I can’t go out there!... I don’t have an outfit…What if I mess up?... My braces are still on!”
Hoseok silences you by placing his finger on your lips. He chuckles, finding your panic amusing.
“First of all, you look hot. Second, you were at my place every day while I was writing these songs,” he tells you. “I wouldn’t ask you if I didn’t know you could do it.”
“But—”
“You’re gonna be fine, ma. Don’t worry,” he assures, giving you those soft eyes that he knows will leave you a mess. “Just keep your attention on me, and you’ll never miss a beat.”
You have no idea what that means, but it has your pussy leaking like a waterfall. Your thoughts are clouded by whatever delusional haze that has come over you as you allow yourself to think this man is flirting with you. You agree before you can change your mind.
“All right, I guess I’ll give it a try,” you sigh. “I’ll get my stuff and meet you on stage.”
“Yes,” he triumphs briefly and wastes no time making his way to the stage.
However, you call his name before he departs.
“You aren’t going to wear your hat?” You point to the jester cap on the “dressing room” couch.
“Nah, it’s too hot. Don’t be too long, babe.”
And then he’s gone, leaving you with your mouth open and your legs wobbling.
Hoseok hasn’t had a haircut in over a month. How in the hell are you supposed to survive when he's out there looking like the three letters of sin?
“I’ll try,” you mumble as you stare at the empty hallway.
You stand there until you hear them calling your name, and then you have no choice but to go out there and face your fears—or your desires, you should say.
Tumblr media
“I have to give it to you, _____,” Yoongi compliments. “I’ve been playing with these guys for years, and I don’t think Viper could ever capture your stage presence.”
Ty chimes in. “Shit, tell me about it. Did you see those chicks on the front row telling Jay to move so they can throw her some kisses? That was hot, and I laughed my ass off.”
Both of them retell the events of the show, but you can’t find yourself cheering. You were initially nervous, but once the music started and the crowd’s applause vibrated the stage, you felt an unexplainable rush that took over your body.
Now you’re just worried if it was too much. You’re afraid you’ve overstepped, and Hoseok may be angry with you. You’ve been avoiding him since you got off the stage, but you know you can’t run forever.
“Hey, _____. Jay wants you to come backstage when you get a chance,” one of his groupies calls from the doorway of the entertainment hall.
“Okay. Did he say why?” you ask out of curiosity.
“I’m not a messenger. Ask him yourself.”
Her attitude rubs you wrong, and it makes your eye twitch. You take a deep breath to calm yourself as she disappears into the corridor.
“We’ll catch you later. Better see what he wants,” Yoongi teases, and you give him the best smile you can muster up.
Knowing Hoseok is waiting for you, you don’t stall. You make your way towards the room you were in earlier with a fast-beating heart.
The door is cracked, but you still knock before you enter. Your hand searches for the light switch as you close the door behind you, but a force traps you against the wall before you can do so.
Even in the poorly lit room, you can make out Hoseok’s handsome features and curly hair. His body is pressed against yours, causing you to tense up for a brief moment.
“Shit, you scared me,” you squeak, eyes wide. “Is something wrong?”
“Nope. I’m just a little jealous.” His smile is genuine but sinister.
You take a gulp before you answer, swallowing back a feeling you know you shouldn’t feel when he’s this close to you.
“Jealous of what?”
“You know how you behaved out there. Don’t play with me,” he scoffs, his smirk still evident.
“Oh. Sorry about that.”
“Sorry? For what?” he asks.
“I guess for getting too wild. I know that’s your thing.”
His head shakes, and his hair covers his dark eyes. You plant your hands on the wall behind you to support your trembling legs. A part of you wishes he’ll create some space between you.
“Am I making you uncomfortable or something?” Hoseok quizzes.
“What?! I mean, no. Of course not,” you laugh nervously.
He leans closer, and the smell of him invades your nostrils. You instantly become drunk off of him just standing there, inhaling his scent.
“I was about to say,” he whispers in your ear. “You didn’t seem shy earlier.”
“What do you mean?”
You hold a breath, waiting for him to back off, but he never does.
“When you were checking me out,” he reveals, and you nearly sink to the floor. “You were peering over, trying to see me. They told me, you know.”
“Um…”
You have no argument. There’s nothing you can say because it’s true.
The growling, the dick grabbing, his wet fucking hair. You couldn’t catch a break. Then to make matters worse, he started thrusting the air. You couldn’t see him clearly since his back was facing you, but the reaction from the crowd told you everything. You craved to see more, but unfortunately, your position prevented you from doing so.
“If you wanted me to show you some more, all you had to do was ask,” he informs, using his hips to grind against you.
Your mouth falls open slightly, but nothing comes out. There are no words to describe the thoughts going through your head. Your body is tempted to join him, but thankfully he laughs before you can give in.
“I’m just fucking with you,” he chuckles. “You did good, ma. I’m proud of you. That energy was incredible.”
After you give him a tight smile, he continues.
“The position is yours if you want it.”
“Yeah, of course I do,” you answer truthfully, and he congratulates you.
You release a sigh when he withdraws, and it doesn’t go unnoticed.
“What’s up with you?” he asks immediately.
Fuck.
“Nothing,” you lie.
“Really?”
He walks over to you again and tries to read your expression. His fingers poke at your sides playfully to get a reaction.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Move, please,” you groan, trying to walk around him, but he grabs your waist.
It’s not uncommon for you two to be touchy when no one’s around, but you don’t trust yourself tonight. You might react inappropriately and can’t handle that kind of embarrassment.
“Can you stop it?” You push him away, and the game changes; he’s no longer his playful self.
Without another word, he spins you around and corners you once again. Your back hits the wall with a small thud, but it's only because the back of his hands block the impact. You stare at him like a deer in headlights, knowing that you’re in deep shit.
If there’s one thing you know about Hoseok, he’ll draw the truth out of you.
“Sorry, but something’s wrong,” he tries again. He whispers, “Is it girl stuff?”
You sigh defeatedly.
“Something like that,” you admit.
The ridges on Hoseok’s face become more defined as he tries to decipher what that could mean.
“It’s a guy, huh?”
Your reaction proves your guilt. “What?! No!”
“A girl?”
“Uhh…”
“You can tell me, you know?” he assures, and you crack at the sight of the softness within his eyes. Most of the time, he’s rough around the edges, but he’s caring when he needs to be.
“Yeah, it’s a guy,” you confess.
His expression is unreadable, but still, you feel a bit of disapproval radiating from his body.
“So, you’re his now? And I’m not allowed to touch you?” he concludes.
“Wha–No, Jay. I swear that’s not it.”
“Then what is it?”
“It’s you,” you blurt out, slapping your hand over your mouth.
Hoseok goes from pissed to shocked, and you quickly try to escape the embarrassing moment you’ve created for yourself. Why couldn’t you just have kept your mouth shut?
“Wait a minute.” He takes a step back but holds up his hand to stop you. “You need to explain what you mean by that. I can get someone else if you don’t want to talk to me.”
“It’s nothing like that. I promise,” you assure.
“Okay, I figured. But still, what’s up?”
“It doesn’t matter. I just need to go. It’s late.”
But he doesn’t move.
“Where are you going?” he questions. “Your parents letting you in at this hour?”
When you got off stage earlier, you already had 23 missed calls. He should already know the answer to that question.
“No, but I don’t think I can come over to yours either,” you inform. His head tilts, curiosity probably flooding his thoughts. “I’m not myself tonight, and I don’t want to say or do anything stupid.”
“Like…?”
You shrug your shoulders.
“Tell you the things I think about you probably? I’ve already slipped up once.”
You lower your head, but he tells you to look at him.
“So you’re trying to tell me that you like me or something?” he quizzes, searching your face for answers. “You know the rules, right?”
You nod. “Members can’t date each other, and that includes fucking.”
“So you know that nothing can happen, right? I’d be a hypocrite.”
“I’m sorry. I don’t know how it happened, but I swear it was never my intention. I know how much the band means to you, and it means a lot to me too, and—”
“Shh,” he whispers, bring a finger to his mouth. He comes closer and leans down, bringing his face only an inch away from yours. Your breath hitches as soon as your eyes meet, and you’re left wondering what will happen next. “This is our secret, okay?”
After you agree, the softest kiss is placed on your lips. Your eyelids flutter shut, and your palms find his chest to ground yourself. His hands return to your waist, but as the kiss deepens and the moment heats up, he wraps his arms around you and pulls you closer.
A soft moan emits from your throat when he slips his tongue inside your mouth, exploring aimlessly and becoming greedier as the seconds pass.
You start to feel more confident and begin run your hands over his body, noting how firm he is with each gentle squeeze. Your mind is left jumbled and hazy by the time his lips abandon yours. A whine threatens to escape, but you catch it at the last second.
When your eyes open, you stare at each other as you process the intensity of the minute-long moment shared between you. Heat creeps up your neck because, despite the many kisses you’ve shared with others while making out, this is the first time you’ve felt this overcome with lust from the small act alone.
Your mind races with many thoughts because you aren’t sure of what Hoseok is thinking until he speaks.
“I’m probably going to regret this…” he says before hooking his hand behind your thigh. He lifts your leg and then taps the other one. “But, come here.”
You hop in his arms, and he carries you across the room to a large wooden table.
He lays you on top of it and slips his hand under your skirt, snatching off your panties in one swift motion. You prop yourself up on your elbows and use your foot to push yourself back. Once both feet are on the table, he spreads your legs and drops to his knees.
Hoseok curses when your pussy is revealed to him, and he brings his face in close proximity. He inhales deeply as his nose travels along your inner thigh and eventually finds itself against your cunt. He breathes in your scent with a satisfied hum, like he’s been dying to smell you forever.
“You have no idea how badly I’ve wanted to taste this pussy,” he comments, giving your clit tiny kitten licks. “Fuck, you’re gonna be crying when I’m done.”
“What–Oh, shit!”
His tongue flattens and licks up your slit, making you tremble in his grasp. The first intrusion is breathtaking and unlike anything you’ve ever felt. Hoseok does not show any fear when he dives into your center and doesn’t hold back any thought that runs through his mind.
He laps up your juices and makes out with your pussy as feverishly as he did your lips. Your hands form fists as you fight through the sensitivity.
“So fucking sweet,” he moans against your heat. “You taste so fucking good.”
“Please.” The plea erupts from your throat without much effort, without even knowing what you’re asking for. However, Hoseok seems to know what it is you need.
“Come on my tongue. I don’t mind.”
He sucks in your clit between his lips and your back arches. The volume of your voice leaves your ears ringing, not even caring if someone outside of the room could hear you. The tears Hoseok promised begin to roll down your cheeks as the first real orgasm of your life takes over your body.
Your limbs stiffen when he nibbles on your sensitive bundle of nerves and robs you of the only breath that remains in your lungs.
“Be as loud as you want, baby. It’s just us.”
He finishes by cleaning up your arousal, licking you into oversensitivity while your body squirms to get out of his hold. “Don’t run from me,” he tells you, and you’re forced to lay there while being drained of all your energy.
You’re still whimpering when he makes his way up your body, kissing you and allowing you to taste yourself on his lips. He chuckles when you moan into his mouth.
“Fuck, this is a bad idea,” he says after he pulls away. He mumbles while pondering and trying to determine if it is worth the risk. If you’re worth the risk.
The fate of the entire band lies in his hands, and every decision he makes is crucial to its existence.
“You don’t have to. I would understand if you didn’t.”
“What if I think you look too good to resist?” he asks. A smile cannot help but spread on your face, knowing that your feeling for him is mutual.
Feeling bold, your hands move up his shoulders, and your fingers entangle in his curly wet strands. You catch on to your mistake and withdraw quickly. Hoseok doesn’t like when people touch his hair. You vividly remember how he kicked everyone out when some girl tried to run her fingers through it once.
“I’m so sorry,” you apologize. “I got carried away.”
His response is not one you expect. “You’re good, ma.”
Goosebumps raise on your skin as his glove-clad hands travel up your thighs, pausing once they reach your skirt. He tugs at it gently while looking at you lying beneath him.
“You can touch wherever you want,” he permits.
As he leaves a kiss on your cheek, you relish in the silkiness of his locks. Quickly you get drunk from his touch and slip into a lust-induced trance. Hoseok’s lips travel lower, entering dangerous territory—drawing a sound from you that only your bedroom walls have heard.
“Jay…”
He freezes.
Your mind begins to scramble for excuses, but fortunately, you won’t need them.
“Don’t moan my name like that unless you’re trying to get fucked for real,” he warns you.
Curiosity leaves you practically begging to discover what it is he wishes to keep hidden.
“What if I do?... What if I want you like that?” he rests his forehead on yours to see your face while you speak.
“You don’t know what you’re asking for,” he chuckles.
“How will I ever know if you won’t show me?”
“I shouldn’t, though.”
“Why not?” you ask him.
“You know why.”
“But you have my permission, and I don’t expect you to be my boyfriend afterward,” you assure, but he doesn’t say anything until you beg. “Please?... You can’t take me this far just to leave me hanging.”
“Fuck,” he curses. “That’s not fair.”
“But doubting me is?”
Hoseok breaks with a heavy sigh.
“Well, let me take you back to my place first, okay?” he suggests, gathering your skirt in his hands. “I wanna do it the right way.”
You notice how he reluctantly tries to pull it down but is torn between being patient or feeding into his desire. You hope that he’ll give into it with some encouragement.
“Hoseok, I can’t wait that long.” You wrap your legs around his waist, bucking into his crotch and taunting him carelessly. He grips the fabric a little tight after you gently tug on his hair.
“Babe…”
“I want you,” you whisper. “Now.”
“Then you have me, baby.”
His hands move to your shirt and make hasty movements to get it over your head. He doesn’t stop there because your bra is next to go, but he pauses before he rips it off you.
“You aren’t shy, are you?”
You take it off yourself, showing him all of your glory. The man has had his face buried in your cunt for nearly five minutes—shame no longer exists.
“Nope,” you reply.
“So fucking hot,” he says, spreading your legs wide. “But so delicate and sweet.”
His hand runs along your inner thigh while he digs inside his back pocket, pulling out his wallet. He opens it and explores its compartments before pulling out a condom.
“Are you nervous?” he asks you, tearing the foil with his teeth.
“Yeah, but I’ll be okay.”
“Eager, are we?” he teases.
“Shut up,” you retort. Your eyes expand when he grabs your face, making you look at him.
“Make me.”
His fingers squish your cheeks together while he places the condom between his lips and unzips his pants with the other hand. He takes it and pumps his cock as he rolls it on, preparing himself for the warmth that awaits him.
When he pulls you closer, and the tip of his dick touches your heat, you realize that it’s really about to happen, and all the stories you’ve heard about the first time start to invade your mind.
“You sure you want to, right?”
You take a deep breath to calm yourself and reply. “Yeah.”
He nods, then brings his cock to your entrance.
“Don’t let me hurt you,” he tells you, probing the thin barrier that blocks his entry. “Just relax.”
You can only shake your head in understanding because words are impossible to form right now.
You start clawing at his back, trying to hold onto something and cope with the overwhelming fullness. You try to speak, but the intrusion leaves you gasping. There’s a bit of stinging, but the pressure and intensity make you feel like you’re about to explode.
“I know it’s tough, but you gotta let me know how you’re doing, babe.”
“Do something, please.”
“Huh?”
“Fuck me or something. Don’t just stay like this.” Thankfully, he understands what you mean and starts out with small strokes to test the waters. You squeeze your eyes shut and try to get more familiar with the feeling. “...So big.”
Hoseok can barely contain himself and releases a pained laugh while he also gets used to the feeling.
“No, you’re just really tight…and you’re squeezing the shit out of me,” he informs.
“I-Is that bad?”
“No, sweetheart,” he laughs. “It’s going to feel good for both of us in a second.”
He looks between you to watch the way your pussy takes him in, cursing and commenting on how pretty your cunt looks with him inside of it.
“Can’t believe this pretty pussy is wrapped around my dick. You don’t know how long I’ve been thinking about this.”
The discomfort starts to ebb away when he starts speaking to you. You linger on every word and relish in each compliment he gives you.
“Always teasing me in these little skirts like I wasn’t tempted to bend you over and fuck you where you stood,” he confesses. “I tried my best to behave, but you just couldn’t keep this pretty cunt to yourself, huh?”
“Jay,” you moan, not even realizing he’s picked up the pace.
The overwhelming feeling has dissipated, and all that remains is lust and the desire to feel another wave of pleasure wash over you.
“You wanted me to have it, huh? Wanted it to be mine, didn’t you?”
“I—”
“Your parents would be so proud if they knew you gave it up to me, wouldn’t they?” he mocks, amusement in his voice. Your walls tighten around his shaft, making him hiss and degrade you more. “I should tell them what a nasty girl you are.”
His thrusts become deeper, his cock entering your womb and pushing you further up the table on impact. Hoseok brings his hand up to your neck and pins you to the table while he fucks you as roughly as he pleases.
The other hand gropes your tits, swirling his fingers around your nipples to intensify your pleasure.
“You think they’d approve of this, hm?”
“No,” you rasp, eyes rolling back when he squeezes your throat. “They wouldn’t.”
“But you don’t care, do you?” he questions, and once again, you deny. “You’d rather be my whore than a good girl.”
“Jay, please.”
“Please what?” he teases, loosening his hold to let you breathe. “Does that pretty pussy want to come again?”
“Fuck, yes! Please, Hoseok.”
He laughs at your desperation.
“Using my real name and shit.” He snatches you up and pulls you to the edge of the table, making you look him in the eye. “Must be a desperate little whore.”
Without even thinking, you reply and shock him even.
“I am. I really am.”
The smirk that grows on his face is menacing, but it sends a pool of arousal gushing from your hole.
“Prove it,” he taunts. “Open your mouth.”
You do it without hesitation, and immediately he spits in your mouth, telling you to close and swallow without leaving a drop. You don’t bat an eye when you consume it and then open up to show him what you did.
Your obedience leaves his dick twitching inside of you, revealing that he’s also close to his release.
“Damn, I need to keep you around,” he says, mostly to himself. His words still boost your ego and leave you a drooling mess within his hold. “So good for me. Go ahead and come.”
He whispers as he stares at you with those lust-filled eyes, pounding you remorselessly and bringing more tears to your reddened eyes.
“You deserve it, pretty girl.”
The tightened coil within you snaps, and you can no longer fight off the urge to let go. You come with his name on your drool-covered lips, falling limp in his arms when you’re finally spent. Hoseok lays you down gently and pulls out of your heat, removing the condom swiftly and rubbing his dick until he squirts his cum all over your pussy.
His moans are so sexy as they fill your ears, and you lay there smiling at him, fucked out and in your post-orgasmic daze. When he’s finally spent, he removes gloves and starts to caress your body gently. You appreciate the delicate touch of his soft hands.
“You okay? Did I go too far?” he asks, you shake your head.
“I enjoyed it a lot,” you answer truthfully. “Thank you.”
“For what?”
“This.” You gesture towards your tired body with a weak smile, earning a laugh from Hoseok.
“I should clean you up,” he points out, walking over to his bag to grab an extra t-shirt he has buried somewhere inside. He pauses as he’s searching and turns to you.
“Hey.”
You hum.
“You don’t have to say yes, so don’t feel pressured but umm…” he holds up his camera, “I just like to keep these. I don’t show anyone. I just—”
“I’m okay with it,” you confirm.
“Really?”
“Yeah,” you nod, opening your legs so he can have a better view.
You swirl his arousal around and mix it with yours before shoving your fingers inside of yourself, wincing slightly from sensitivity.
“Fuck, just like that,” he encourages.
He snaps pictures and collects them as soon as they develop, lining them up next to you so you can see them once he’s done. They actually look nice, and you find yourself smiling as you look at them.
“You like them?” Hoseok speaks after you’ve been staring for a few seconds. “We can take some more at my place.”
“We can?”
“You want to?” he laughs.
“Of course! I look sexy.” You wiggle your brows playfully, and he shakes his head.
He helps you clean up and put on your clothes despite you telling him not to. You have to walk beside him and grip his arm for stability because your legs are shaky and wobbly. Both of you laugh as you depart. However, he turns to you before you get to his car.
“I know we said stuff while we were fucking, but I just wanna make sure our agreement is still intact,” he states, his tone becoming more serious.
“No, I still feel the same. I have to focus on school, and my parents would never approve, you know?... I don’t think it would be worth it, no offense.”
“Oh, I agree,” he assures. “Well, if it’s all good, let’s go to my place, and I’ll take you to your dorm tomorrow?”
“Sounds good,” you tell him, and it really did sound great.
But then he took you home and fucked you in every position the entire weekend. By Monday morning, you were sore, covered in his marks, and dick-whipped beyond the point of return.
That weekend was only a sample. The more time you spent together, the more you fucked each other, and the closer you two became.
You had to learn the hard way that friends with benefits usually never work in your favor.

TKATB - Theories, wahoo.
This will contain spoilers for Days 1 and 2 of @fantasia-kitt 's 'The Kid At The Back', along with containing mentions of material found on her Twitter (https://twitter.com/fantasia_kitt).
This is mostly based off things I've picked apart and/or kinda pieced together. If you feel I'm incorrect, or am missing something; hell, if you have any theories of your own, please share!
Anyway, the actual theories (apologies in advance if the rambling is...uh...too rambly).
- Okay, so considering the fact Jess was moved into the ‘Lower Class’ school, it means that she either failed a class or got a ‘violation’ (those are the conditions for being moved down, according to Hyugo). Brittney mentioned how ‘confident and loud’ Jess is when she’s angry, and Brittney apparently was popular at some point, but lost it at the party (it was mentioned a few times by Deryl) 2 years ago due to an incident. I think maybe Brittney was being bullied and Jess lost her shit, maybe even got physical? And that led to the duo being sent to the ‘Lower Class’ school.
- Subaru (Geo) and Hyugo are mentioned to be brothers, but Hyugo says “Subaru! I wasn’t expecting to see you here!”, which could mean Geo (due to him being rich af) was moved down as well??? Hyugo and Geo are brothers but have different surnames, so I have a feeling (also because Geo is said to have daddy issues by Fantasia herself), that maybe Subaru Oogami and Hyugo Sugimoto aren’t related.
- Continuing that, Hyugo is the ‘traitor’ that the ‘Rough-Voiced Man’ was looking for in the cinema, so he’s obviously affilated with some dodgy people, and we know he hates injustice, so perhaps he is a mercenary or assassin of sorts (he did canonically kill somebody, with Sol witnessing it, check Fantasia’s twitter); and that could be why Geo avoids him? Hell, why does Subaru even go by Geo? Is it a codename, like Geo Sugimoto, is he hiding his real identity?
- With the person who threatened MC and their father with taking the farm, and the Marie Antoinette references, maybe the ‘handsome man’ is Crowe’s father? Hell, maybe even Eries, the fuchsia-eyed celebrity Jess loves. Along with that, the 'moral' I suppose of her biography was along the lines of: change is inevitable, either you deny it, or accept it. It'll happen anyway, what changes is your role and reaction to it (say you choose Crowe, Sol'll lose his marbles; if you choose Sol, Crowe might move on...unless he's also insane but I doubt it).
- Flowers seem to be important symbolism-wise, like the carnation and passionflower mentions made by Crowe (carnations can mean love for someone, or purity if white, or rejection/disappointment if yellow. Passionflowers mean renewal and hope I think). Brugmansia is also a poisonous flower, so it hints to Sol being a ‘poison’ that could kill us.
- I've seen this mentioned by @sweet-herbal-peach-tea (I'm sorry for tagging you anon, I wanted to credit you; also check their theories out as well anons), but I'll add it here anyway: With the prominence of Edgar Allan Poe's 'Annabel Lee', it could hint to Sol having loved us either in a past life...or...maybe we - the MC - look identical to a past lover of his, one who maybe passed; and he's deluded himself into thinking we are them?
Now for my favourite ones:
- The Hallow’s Ball, the event Deryl mentions on the groupchat, is on Friday. Assuming the game will be 7 days long and that Day 1 is Monday, that means Day 5 is crucial. It could be a catalyst, hell it may even decide what ending you get (Fantasia said there’ll probably be about 5, 1 true, 2 good, 2 bad; albeit that could change). Geo mentions he doesn’t want to go, neither does Brittney, but I think she will due to the fact Jess is. It may decide whether you choose Crowe or Sol, along with finalising relations with the other characters.
- Hyugo also mentions ‘taking care of Sol for him’, implying his absence…or even death. Hyugo pulls a gun on a person who seems to know him, maybe the boss of a crime syndicate? Hyugo hates injustice, so maybe the missing persons cases are being caused by people Hyugo knows, and he wants to stop them? I think if Hyugo vanishes (hell, it’s already known that he doesn’t always show up to class), it might be a way to get more info out of Geo.
That’s all I got off the top of my head lol, if it seems janky, I'm sorry. ;^
And uuh...yeah. This is my first Tumblr post so yeah. Love this Visual Novel and cannot wait to see more! (Especially of Geode lmfao).

I'm trying to find lore on Ivy, but somehow can barely find anything- I'm very bad at getting details out of big chunks of text so I was hoping to find someone's summary or explanation. Would you happen to have something like that? Or a link you could direct me to?
You know, this is a very good question! I don't honestly think anyone has written a post about Ivy's lore, I am quite tired atm, but I can bullet point out the main points!
Or well, some fun facts I guess, because thats me, travis, the fun fact guy.
Ivy was the third Mechanism to be Mechanized by Doc C, this is proven by the fact she appears in this doc carmilla art on Maki's blog!
Ivy was, presumably, mechanized either in a Space libary of Alexandria, of sorts, given the library theme, 'alexandria' etc etc. And the fact in her backstory fiction the entire everything
Ivy's age is unknown.
In several photos, Ivy is seen reading a [i forget the language rn, maybe german?] translation of a Tolkien book. So thats a fun fact!
flute player.
Ivy once upon a time had a song called The Librarian. This song was never recorded, and the lyrics do not appear on the site like Cyberian Demons, and this haunts me. It was preformed live at a DC&TM gig along with the fabled song Fantasia, and several Lorelai songs.
although, in her fiction, its sort of implied Tim was mechanized by the time she was mechanized? Or at least there. "a figure strides out of the smoke towards her, the hem of his coat smouldering, reflected firelight glinting in the glass lenses where his eyes should be."
his implies one of the dudes, coat implies tim somewhat, and so does 'glass lenses where his eyes should be', but given she was number 3, and Tim was well after the fact, either time is wobbly (VERY LIKELY) or this figure was Jonny. Either or. It could very well be Tim burned down a library for shits and giggles at some point, found a mortal ivy, went oh shit, dragged her out of the flames and left her outside, where Doc C picked her up. these are both just as likely tbh
you know rereading the fiction its heavily implied she is on the moon.
Tim is implied a LOT in this fiction so ???
Regardless, the bones of it is
Ivy does not recall and remember like a person, rather like a computer - an encyclopedia. She is a book not a person, its said in the text
If i'm missing anything very important, feel free to reblog with it!

So!
Arts and crafts convention!
I got dragged to one on very short notice because a friend I hadn't seen in forever suggested I take a quick little day trip to visit her and look at the spinning guild's con booth while I'm at it, and despite being notoriously bad with short-notice plans, I actually fucking got over myself for once!
It was fun! Even if I apparently remain completely incapable of dealing with crowds.
I found myself one of those little 3D-printed articulated dragons/lizards I've wanted since forever, got some assorted bits 'n bobs (like a cheesy metal raven skull pendant that'll go great with my vulture LARP character), and also got to hang out with the spinning folks for a bit.
Tried out a Kromski Fantasia (surprisingly pretty irl, and also a surprisingly nice, agile-feeling wheel for a double-treadle*, but ngl I'm still happy I went with my Kiwi, even if I still think it's comparatively really ugly. Turns out the upside of the rough-hewn boxy IKEA look is that it's incredibly fucking stable and has zero wobbling anywhere compared to the Fantasia or my vintage wheel), tried out one of the Ashford top-whorl spindles (they don't feel as heavy in person as you'd expect them to and I liked them a surprising amount (they are speedy!), but at the end of the day I find bottom-whorl spindles more comfortable to use)
Here's my tiny skein of very badly chain-plied yarn from that spindle:
Tumblr media
(I promise I know how to chain ply better than that (vaguely), but between the sensory overload and the unfamiliar equipment, I'm glad I got a yarn out of it at all)
And they also let me take one of their "blended by random booth visitors" rolags!
Tumblr media
This is very likely to turn into pure mud, but I was intensely intrigued by the mystery of it all.
*I'm sorry, I know people like their double treadles, but I just hate how they feel. If there had been a good, foldable budget option with one normal-width goddamn treadle I would have gone for that one immediately.
