you and jaehyun are in his room. hes studying some english. youre having the time of your life, laying with your head in his lap, watching him struggle to pronounce "yacht". you offered to help him but noooo, he can do it. refuses to let you help because he wants to prove he can do it himself and with any other word you wouldnt doubt him. he's quite good at english and hes improving rapidly but the word "yacht"... its a pain in the ass to learn at first even if english is your first language. i mean look at it it should be pronounced "ya ch t" or something. he had first said "ya ch t" and was convinced that's how it was pronounced until he looked at your face and realised he was wrong. but was going to ask for help? no? but manz could NOT figure out what else it could be.

after about 5 minutes of watching him struggle you got fed up and decided to MAKE him listen to you. so you leaned your head down. and but his thigh. surprised at first, bamboozled even. but once he realised what had happened he started giggling soon followed by you. after recovering from the laughing fit, he did not miss a single beat and started singing in that voice he uses to annoy sungho.

Your head almost hit your desk, you opened your eyes trying to focus on the notes you had been concentrating on before, but sleep was winning this battle, lately you had the night shift of the cafeteria where you worked and it was breaking your college schedules.

But you liked work and money always came in handy, you cut yourself off from your family when you went to study outside your hometown, your relationship with them was never very close so you had to look for work because you weren't someone rich.

At least, not at the beginning of your first years of studies, you met Shanks after you spent two years living alone, he offered you small jobs, such as being his companion at galas, meetings or other kind of favors for a large amount of money, that's how you became his sugar baby, even though you started to have more money you still liked your job so you continued there.

You decided to close your laptop to stop studying, it wasn't even that late at night but your energy was completely depleted, just before you lay down on the bed, you checked your messages seeing that Shanks himself had sent you a message.

You frowned slightly, he was asking you to accompany him to a gala tonight, lately you had an internal conflict about your relationship with him, even if your relationship is purely for financial interest at a certain point you noticed that he liked to indulge you much more than normal, you never had the courage to ask if he wanted a serious relationship because being a multi-millionaire man with several companies, he had a couple of other women by his side as companions on other occasions, you interpreted it as being nice to you for being in your situation.

You answered in the negative, your brain was off enough not to feel like being a person full of life and smiling, not today, you needed a break from all this exhaustion of exams and clients. You sent another apology message for not being available and once and for all your body sank into your bed hoping to rest.

An hour after you fell asleep, some anxious knocking on your door made you wake up from your sleep, completely annoyed by whoever decided to interrupt your well-deserved rest, you were ready to yell at what you thought was a neighbor who decided to ask you for a favor, however the words died on the tip of your tongue at the sight of the redhead standing in the hallway of your building block.

"Shanks… what?"

You rubbed your eyes to check that sleep wasn't playing a trick on you, but he smiled down at you as if he was embarrassed for having surprised you, you let him in hoping he would clarify why he was here if he supposedly had an important gala.

You cut the string of him off with a little kiss, all this nervousness over a confession, if you were a teenager you'd be winding your hair around your finger with a goofy grin on your face, even though you did have the goofy grin.

"Shanks you are a complete idiot you know that?"

You changed your smile to a flat expression, though the joke didn't last long when you saw the man's kicked puppy face, making you roll your eyes and kiss him again, he grabbed your hands rubbing his thumb against your knuckles.

"So… there was something else I'd like to ask you" you raised an eyebrow at his words, nodding for him to continue "would you like to come live with me? Since you are my official partner, I would like to pamper you much more."

"I…"

Your mind entered the conflict of the moving, Shanks does not live near the city which would imply that you needed a method of daily transportation, in addition to the fact that you didn't want to leave your job even with this offer in hand.

"Don't worry about anything! I would do anything to balance our schedules and be able to take you everywhere, I'm not asking you to quit your job if you like it, I just want us to spend more time together without needing excuses."

"Okay Shanks, I would like that too, but the next time you want to propose something to me, don't do it on a Sunday at two in the morning or I'll cut any kind of contact."

"But-!"

"No 'but', now let's go to bed" he raised his eyebrows up and down hinting while squeezing your thigh, you sighed rubbing your temple "or I go to bed and you go to the sofa, if that's what you want."

"I was kidding!"

"Mmmh yeah, the sofa will like your jokes."

"Oh, come on, babe!"

You readjusted your shirt, looking at yourself for the last time in the mirror that was in the room where the employees were allowed to change into the cafeteria uniform, luckily today it was afternoon shift for you and not many people used to pass by, at least not as much as in the morning shift.

You were able to study as there were only a couple of clients, you had to keep up with your studies since you decided to move on your own and live on your own without the extra help of your parents, it was quite hard to maintain an accommodation and pay for your studies at first, but when you found a job you also found an offer you couldn't refuse.

Apparently this was the favorite coffee shop of Dracule Mihawk, one of the city's billionaires, quite ironic that someone rich would like a completely ordinary coffee shop, but you weren't one to judge, not when he took an interest in you after you served him at your first day of work. From that day on, he always began to come to ask about you and eventually he became interested in you helping him with some things for a certain amount of money.

Of course, with your financial situation you couldn't refuse, plus most of the time you only had to accompany him to boring meetings with other businessmen, everyone knew Mihawk as someone lonely and sometimes he needed to surprise with a companion, according to him, you made a good impression and matched perfectly with him.

You blinked a few times, tucking a lock of your hair behind your ear, incredulous at his audacity, you looked into his eyes, instantly regretting seeing his intense gaze, apparently it wasn't some kind of bad joke, although you thought that maybe he needed you for one of the meetings.

"Do you need a companion again? I'll be free in a couple of hours."

"No, it's not that, I'm completely serious, I want to formalize our relationship to something more than a relationship for mere benefit, I've tried to tell you before but it never seemed to be the occasion."

"I- oh, that caught me off guard."

"It's okay if you don't accept, I won't stop requesting you sometimes if you still need the money, but I don't want to pressure you, after all, not all beautiful young people like you would agree to date someone my age."

You secretly pointed to a couple of customers who seemed attentive to the whole scene making you feel nervous, Mihawk made sure they stopped gossiping with a simple look, offered you the bouquet of roses, holding one of your hands while looking at you.

"I would also like to offer you to live with me, it doesn't have to be something immediate, I know that the changes can be overwhelming, but I would like you to think about it, I would like to consent to you of my own free will and not for services."

"I'll think about it Mihawk, but I like this place…"

He nodded, he understood that you liked the job even though you weren't going to have those problems with money anymore, he wasn't going to deprive you of that, plus he can always come see his favorite person in his favorite place, he couldn't ask for more.

"So, you said your shift ended in a couple of hours?"

"I thought you didn't need me, did you have a meeting?"

"No, I want to take you to our first official date."

He brought your hand to his lips, leaving a soft kiss on it, your face heating up at his actions, you accepted the proposal and began to make his usual order, waiting impatiently for your shift change. You completely forgot what you were studying before, thinking about what to wear to your date, the remaining hours passed quickly without many more customers so you could sit and chat with Mihawk for a while.

"Ready to go, mi amor¹?"

You took his hand with a smile once you left in your normal clothes, saying goodbye to your coworker while Mihawk walked you home so you could change clothes and then took you on the first date of many after this day.

im gonna go with the scenario in which both of you are vamps, destined to be mates for all eternity. now one would think that it's a hell of a long time to be committed to one person, but when it comes to a lover like levi – he NEVER gets tired of you, as the same with you. he practically worships the ground you walk on, the air in which you exist with him. he just can't get enough of you.

by that, it was from the start that sparked what you two are now. "love at first sight" was a stupid idea that levi couldn't even bring himself to come to terms with when he first met you upon the forest. but he quickly realized that he felt like a love sick teenager again. the way you could just be existing in his presence and he'd still feel like he's falling in love all over again.

as time passed and humans continued to grow old, you and levi were stuck in your own little world with nothing else being of importance except the exchange of love and passion towards one another.

every kiss felt needier, every touch felt exhilarating, every breath felt warmer to the point where you couldn't tell if it was levi's or yours. all that mattered was that in this moment, he was yours as you were his.

nothing was said for some time, not that there needed to be anyway. panting and short breaths were the only thing that was coherent from your semi-dried lips. from this, levi knew you needed a few minutes to regain your composure.

oh boy, well, good news for you, I love to justify why i love k2 so much!

for me personally, i guess it's not super related to anything in canon. they have a few small moments here and there, but i dont think i could point you in the direction of any "K2 episodes" or anything. its just like, the potential of a relationship between them that really makes me nuts (positive).

at their core, kenny and kyle are both people who fundamentally want to take care of people around them. i see it most in how they interact with their younger siblings (the karen/mysterion dynamic, kyles everything in 'miss teacher bangs a boy''), so i call it the big brother instinct.

for kyle, hes a busybody who goes out of his way to take care of most of the people around him. he's not always nice about it (the way he treats stan in 'raisins', for example), but he does act out of what he thinks is the best interests of people around him. he wants to guide people to what he thinks is best. on the flipside, i dont think he accepts help well. his mom's pretty smothering in the ways she thinks she's protecting him and it makes kyle reject care from others because he'd rather handle things on his own.

kenny, he's a little more selective. he's not that protective of his friends, but i like to think he's protective of those most important to him and that would extend to a crush / partner. when it comes to the reverse, kenny has never particularly had caregivers he could depend on. his parents don't take care for him, his own big brother is a negligible presence in his life, the other adults of south park don't seem to notice or care how the mccormick children are cared for. he's simply HAD to be the caregiver out of necessity. he's never been afforded a moment to let someone else take care of him because it's never been an option.

and that creates a central conflict for K2. two people who want to give care, but aren't good at accepting care for varying reasons. they have to learn how to let their guard down and let the other take care of them every now and then. makes for a lot of good tender moments that i very much enjoy when shipping characters.

there's also smaller things, that i dont think are really worth a big grand explanation or anything. i think there's some really good romeo & juliet vibes if you choose to believe that gerald and stuart still hate each other (esp if you, like me, think that kyle's relationship with gerald is a bit strained and he enjoys that gerald hates that his bf is a mccormick).

there's a bit of 'opposites attract' in there for me too. i like to think kenny grows up to be a bit of an impulsive free spirit (his actions dont have consequences, if he dies, he'll be back in the morning, he doesn't have to be careful or deliberate in his actions), whereas kyle overthinks everything he does and he's super pragmatic. as a couple, he grounds kenny from his silly-goofy antics but kenny also forces him to loosen up. kyle will indulge him and be a little silly goofy with him, while kyle reigns him in from the worst of his impulsive behaviors.

also kysterion with kyle being the medic and the guy in the chair to mysterion's supering antics? well i eat that shit up. that's just a superhero shipping dynamic that i love in almost any instance.

and lastly, its also just a lil bit of nostalgia for me! im ancient, ive been in and out of south park fandom since like 2005 and k2 was one of the first ships i really got invested in. reading k2 fics on deviantArt is actually how i made my first ever fandom friend. i lost touch with them a while ago and most of their stuff has been deleted or put in their dA storage, so i can't revisit it, but it's still a dear memory for me.

the short version is because there's not a whole lot of canon stuff to go off of, i get to inject a lot of headcanons and projection and cater it specifically to what i like.

I wondered how Sakuno and Shouhei are with each other, but then I also got thinking and wondered how Sakuno handled the boys who are really the opposite of Shouhei, like really quiet Fujishima or caustic Eric? Having someone cute and sweet like Sakuno and having her interact with Eric, I wondered a little how that goes.

If you don’t mind, I’m just gonna copy and paste what I sent in our DMs since i wrote a lot in response to your questions!

Im gonna be biased as hell here, but shouhei/sakuno are my fave out of the couples. To me, theyre somewhat of an opposites attract, but not too much of an extreme to the point their relationship starts struggling or dies out. Shouhei has always been extroverted and confident from the get go, while sakuno is introverted and developed more confidence as she grew older since she was more on the shy side as a kid.

Shouhei is carefree, while sakuno overthinks a lot. Shouhei is straightforward, while sakuno is passive aggressive unless youre kaoru (she’s trying, okay?) Shouhei was a violent delinquent, while sakuno grew up sheltered.

But thats pretty much where their (major) differences end tbh. They both know how to use their looks and appeal to get what they want, in a more innocent and subtle way. Their members also like to dunk on them for being the more naive and clueless ones of the group, but theyre both more perceptive than they let on. Theyre also known as the romanticists of their groups, both preferring a serious relationship. However, shouhei is a bit more laidback, taking a “if it happens, it will happen” approach whereas sakuno tries to actively date and gets disheartened when things dont work out.

They also share genuine interests in music, both have the most popular fashion within their groups, being active (sakuno ends up teaching shouhei how to play tennis since thats the only sport she plays if shes not at the gym), and share some mutual friends (they end up meeting each other through a mutual friend who is shouhei’s friend from the manga, just gotta make up a name for her). And sakuno grew up with extroverts around her, most of them being her close girl friends who played a huge role in developing her confidence as she grew, so she will mesh with shouhei pretty well (also stealing your headcanon about shouhei preferring to be closer to introverts vs extroverts like him). I think his boyish charms will complement her girlish charms.

As for their general dynamic, they both knew of each other, but didnt think much of each other besides “i know theyre technically the enemy, but he/she is pretty cute.” But they officially got introduced to each other through a mutual friend in a small party at her apartment, and thats when they really start to pay attention. They both try to keep their distance from each other at first, but the more they drank, the more closer they got. It originally started off with them cuddling and lowkey flirting, to having a full blown make out session once shouhei moves a strand of hair from her face and mumbles something about her face being too pretty to hide.

They were both lost in their own world until someone drunkenly bumps into them and sakuno realizes that she shouldnt be getting too close with him while shouhei can’t stop thinking about how her lips felt against his, how soft she felt in his arms, and how good she smelt. They’re both smitten, but sakuno is more cautious cause of the dating ban put on her group and the reputation of shouhei’s group, while shouhei starts to actively pursue her, wanting to spend more time together.

Once they get together, theyre playful and flirty with each other. When they start to get closer and really open up with each other, shouhei lets sakuno trace her finger against the scars littered across his chest and back from fights he indulged in when he was younger. How he was so wild and reckless and at one point he got into a huge fight with his old man and how he will never forget the look on his mom’s face when he punched his dad. Sakuno confides him in how during her lowest moments as a teen where she momentarily hung out with the wrong influences and let an older man groom her. and how she didn’t think of stopping the affair despite knowing he has a wife and kids because she was so stupid and desperate and just wanted to feel love.

When sakuno first meets the other guys through shouhei, she found fuji intimidating at first due to his stoic/blank expression, spiked hair, and piercings. But she soon learns that he’s actually the kindest out of all the guys, and like your au, she bonds with him over animals. Sakuno mentions of getting a pet cat, and fuji immediately recommends her to adopt a cat from some of the shelters he knows.

Ngl with eric, i can see sakuno having a minor crush on or thinking that she would like him the best, before she met shouhei. Eric is similar to some of the guys she had a thing for in the past, all quiet but quick with a rude or witty retort. But in general, she is kinda intimidated by him and is a little more quiet than usual around him cause she’s scared of him being mean to her, while eric doesn’t really care too much about her. But if i didnt pair her with shouhei, i would definitely pair her off with eric lmao

the walk there was quiet, but it wasnt awkward. if anything, it was the opposite. you felt at peace and happy at the fact that you got to spend time with her. also, its not like you didnt notice how she discreetly took your hand in hers. not at all hehe

This man as well as Gavin has a really big trauma baggage going on

I genuinely think that the Elijah we see in the game, while not entirely good with high morals like Connor, is not as bad as everyone is making him to be

He is the definition of fake it till you make it when it comes to confidence

I'm like 109% sure Elijah's family used to struggle with money or they never had to worry about it

there's no in between

I base that on the reason he "left" (mf was booted out of his own fucking company lol) cyberlife

Which btw, leading a whole fucking company when you're still a teenager wasn't fun, 0/10, he would not recommend

He has been taken advantage of in the most horrid way possible and I think that's why he is now that type of person who never does something for nothing

He has never shown an interest on making his creations for the sole purpose of profiting from them as much as he can

He has always wanted to do much more even at cost of not getting any financial benefit from it

That says two possible things

He has seen the effect money has on people and hates the idea of turning out to be money hungry like his parents, sacrificing something much more important and dear to him just for the sake of money

Which can come from either his parents pushing him so much just because they knew he was their only chance to get a the life they wanted and the sort of money they struggled to make

Or because he has seen how his family has ruined lives or relationships for the sake of keeping their high quality life and how they have pushed that idea onto Gavin and him too which ended up in Gavin not being looked after most of time since he was not fitting their standards of heartless high achiever from whom they could get something too

I would probably tend to believe more the poor background because of how Elijah presents himself

He's very laid back even tho he has the means to be more fancy

The few things ones see of his house during the game makes me believe that he's not very much into opulence but more in indulging himself with stuff he gets joy from rather than spend money on things that show off his wealth

And because I want to, like as a treat to myself

MOVING ON

I've already said it but I'll mention it again for context purpose

Gavin and Elijah are siblings. I know many in the fandom say they might be cousins but I like the siblings idea more

or it could be full siblings but because Gavin resents Elijah he just changed his last name so he wouldn't have to be associated to him or his family

Either way they don't get along anymore because how their parents treated them which is why they grow apart

They were not the type of parents who physically abuse but they did emotional abuse their kids

Gavin and Elijah were put against each quite a lot and they never got the chance to fucked up or do what they really wanted cause they parents made it very clear that their love and affection depended on how much the kids met their standards

And even between each other they weren't the best example as either adults, a couple or parents

Which ended up making Elijah's social interactions and relationships very difficult

I can see Elijah being one of those really delicate and surprisingly sensitive kids growing up

Like I feel like he had struggled a great deal with regulating how much and how often he showed emotions and because of that he got bullied a lot

LIKE HE WAS THE TYPE OF KID TO ALWAYS BE SO EXCITED WHEN TALKING ABOUT STUFF HE LIKED OR ALWAYS READY TO GIVE HUGS TO ANYONE

Which ended up in either getting his feelings crushed by people telling him he was annoying or not even listening to him at all

The only person who always had the patience and the willingness to match his energy when it came to certain things was Gavin

They absolutely defended each other at school even tho Elijah almost always ended up eating shit because he wasn't as strong as he thought himself to be

Bro got his physical demonstration of affection bullied out of him cause kids are cruel, adults are shit and my man here didn't stood a fucking chance

IN FACT i bet he got to a point where it genuinely weirded out when his parents tried to hug him or touch him in general cause he already learn that wasn't "their thing"

I truly believe he didn't always give a single flying fuck about androids and being a scientist in general

I bet he wanted to do something more artistic as a kid and he was very good at it but his parents always told him that being an artist is not a real job and it's a useless hobby because it doesn't gives you anything to live of from

So he just like kind of made being extremely good at school his whole personality

Like he altogether stopped having any type of hobbies ecc and if he did he just forced himself to not indulge in them

Which ended up in isolating him even more from other kids

He was basically already an adult when he was supposed to just be a kid and have fun

And obviously,besides Gavin, no one really understood him

He was too emotionally stunted for kids to relate or interact with him and adults were just overall condescending with him

The only time teachers or other adults noticed him was because of his academic results

It was Gavin who accidentally planted in him the idea of creating his own friends

Gavin loved to read classics and that's a hill I'm willing to die on

He stopped because when he started working he didn't had time

Elijah's enjoyed reading too which, again, was Gavin's doing

His favourite book was obviously Frankenstein

Which btw the Frankestein shirt he wears in the game? That's 100% Gavin's gift and he wears it as some sort of lucky charm

That was the one he used to borrow more frequently from Gavin

The thing went more or less like this

They both were arguing about whether or not the doctor went too far with certain things and, most importantly, if the creature did really deserve to live or not

Obviously Elijah took the side of the monster and Gavin said that of course he was siding with the creature since he did too acted always like he has been alive for like two days instead of 13

Which lead to Gavin making a reference to bicentennial man

Which he didn't understand cause he has never saw that movie before

One thing lead to another and Gavin made Elijah watch the movie which was what sparked the idea of androids in Elijah

YES, HE WAS INSPIRED BY THAT MOVIE AND NOT I ROBOT. THAT MOVIE WAS ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING AND IT'S WAY BETTER ROBOT REPRESENTATION THAN I ROBOT

At that point Elijah was already like a fucking genius and was way ahead his grade even tho he didn't think until then what career he wanted to pursue

The problems between him and Gavin were already starting cause their parents started to notice how smart was Elijah compared to Gavin

At first he thought it was unfair to him because they didn't let him have fun or go out like Gavin

They pushed him to his limit and there have been a couple of incidents where, if it wasn't for Gavin that cared for his well being despite what was going on, elijah would've ended up really bad

then he started to notice how it was unfair to Gavin as well

because they were actually just not giving a flying fuck about what he did since it wasn't important anymore

It made him sick with guilt to see how their parents were visibly struggling to even do the bare minimum as parents when it came to gavin

And Elijah was already starting to have other type of troubles

being that young and skip grades where you ended up in a class full of older people wasn't the best and he did start to take very poor decisions just to make himself liked

It was some sort of silent rebellion too

He started taking drugs which initially were meant to just help him show his classmates he was "mature" enough

And then he just started to need them to power through everything he needed to do

He was so hellbent on his idea of creating a sentient being that could emulate humans if not perfectly even better that he didn't even care what he had to do in order to achieve it

And at that point both Gavin and Elijah hated their parents so he had no problems in using their "help" to get what he needed

I personally believe, like I said in the other post, that something really fucked up happened between Gavin and Elijah which resulted in a major fallout between them

Maybe it's because lately I've been thinking about hereditary (idk why since I have never seen the movie but whatever man) and the fact that I've seen the parents go batshit crazy because the son accidentally killed her sister (?)

BUT I'M UNFORTUNATELY HAVING THE WORST IDEA EVER

Elijah's parents are overprotective with him not out of love but out of interest cause exploiting your kid is always a great family bonding activity to choose

And they try to keep him and Gavin as apart as possible cause they think Gavin would "ruin" him and his future with his influence

So I feel like Elijah was pestering Gavin to sneak out together and do some cool teenager stuff he didn't get to do before as an attempt to bond with his bro again

Elijah was high as kite and that mixed with stupid teenager ideas and reckless rebellious teenage behaviour doesn't mix well

Long story short Elijah and Gavin got into a pretty bad accident and Gavin (fortunately or unfortunately depending on the point of view) got out of it without much harm

But Elijah did got pretty fucked up bro NGL

I can see how that, the fact that Elijah was not there to testify the fact that Gavin didn't do anything wrong and that it wasn't his fault, and the doctors finding traces of drugs in Elijah system obviously didn't ended up well

You can imagine their parents reaction

That was the point where I think Gavin broke off contact with his family completely and just got the fuck out of there

Like I said I can imagine Elijah carrying the guilt for the rest of his life and has never actually had the courage to try and contact Gavin after that

hey!! idk if tumblr ate my ask, the himeno brainrot has faded or if you just didn’t feel like it (which is so valid lmao no worries) but i would love to hear your headcanons for her!! xx

hiii so sorry !! i actually started answering ur ask when i was on vacation a couple weeks back and then i didnt have enough ideas and put it in my drafts....and to no one's surprise i forgot about it lmao so thank u for reminding me !!

also i can't NOT have himeno brainrot atp don't worry heheh

however im afraid I won't deliver too much on this bc instead of like individual headcanons ive mostly just filled in the blanks that canon left with my own things (often self-indulgent) and made up a life for himeno which i now basically treat as canon lmao (yes this is delusion central)

i will attempt this though but fair warning that a lot of the behaviors and things i associate with her aren't very wholesome or a jolly good time (i suffer daily with this brain)

(cw for mentions of addiction and a lil bit of drugs, i promise it gets more lighthearted after the first few ones lmao)

so, starting off strong, I don't think himeno spends a lot of her time sober. namely, i headcanon her almost always running on some kind of buzz. i think it's established that she handles her liquor well so i dont think it would be noticeable at work, but considering she trained under kishibe for a long time, i can see her having a flask of her own and sipping at it throughout the day.

in the same spirit, i think she would also take any opportunity to properly get wasted. friday nights with aki at her apartment, outings with the people from work etc, especially if she doesn't have work in the morning. i think maybe she believes she's more fun to be around when drunk.

i don't think these behaviors are about entertainment, but rather a way she's found to be more "functional" and able to keep doing what she does and uphold the carefree persona she's established, hence incorporating them into her life to the point of very rarely being stone cold sober.

i think she also doesn't like the idea of her family knowing about how she copes. maybe she doesn't answer her father's phonecalls sometimes, scared of sounding too noticeably drunk at noon on a tuesday. or she's often stressed about her sister's occasional surprise visits in case she comes over and finds himeno's place in disarray and her in a similar state.

apart from alcohol, which is basically canon, i once had a thought about himeno occasionally abusing pills. pain meds prescribed for recovering from a work injury hitting just right paired with some beer on the side one evening and boom yk. i bet it wouldn't be too hard for her, considering her line of work, to get her hands on opioids regularly enough, especially since the story is set in the 90s and doctors used to prescribe them left and right before the amount of patients getting dependent skyrocketed.

to complete the holy trinity of vices, again based on things mentioned in canon, i think himeno is also the type of person to sleep around a lot with distraction being the objective. she has a reputation for getting flirty and handsy with ppl from public safety when drunk and i think that speaks for itself. this is not inherently a vice ofc, but in her case I don't think she engages in this behavior being sound of mind. it almost never happens when she's sober and i headcanon her often regretting it at least briefly the next day.

oof that was a lot lmao. um chill anyways, on a lighter note i have a couple thoughts about her relationship with aki !!

i think it's a habit for them to take care of each other's injuries after missions. im actually writing a fic about aki showing up at himeno's doorstep, bleeding and expecting to be taken care of in his own begrudging, stuck up way lmao. i think himeno is less likely to straight up go to his house for that, but i see them leaving public safety and going home together to shower and bandage their wounds in companionable silence.

additionally to that whole thing, i personally do believe that their relationship could've had a non-platonic side to it, albeit still casual in its nature. leaving that aside, i think they share quite a bit of affection and physical touch regardless, considering how casually we see them invading each other's personal space in canon. so i think they sleep in the same bed a lot, after tending to each other's wounds, or getting too drunk in himeno's living room. i think it took a while for aki to stop being tense and relax into it, but they settled into a comfortable zone and it was sth they both needed more than they would ever admit.

fujimoto once talked about himeno and said that she is the type to leave a lot of her stuff behind at aki's place and u better believe i ran with it. clothes, hair brushes, a spare toothbrush in the bathroom, you can't change my mind. i also think that to some extent it goes both ways. himeno has a shitload of aki's tupperware at her place, from all the food he brings her weekly, and she never washes them unless aki comes over to do it himself and by the time he decides to take some back, there's always more. black hair ties are often littered in her bathroom cabinets and on one of her night stands. a book on her windowsill that aki brought to read before bed once and then never took home.

not to get dark again, but talking about them is bound to make me sad sooner or later :) based on the way she thinks about aki's death in canon, i think she would often panic when thinking about aki's shrivelling lifespan, especially at the beginning when aki had a lot of years to spare and surely used the sword more freely. i imagine her being restless in her bed with aki sleeping next to her, feeling compelled to check on his breathing or his pulse. reach over and touch his hand to feel him alive and warm, hoping it would soothe her to sleep.

i also think she's there a lot of the times aki cries. i bet the first time she saw him was accidental, or at least not a conscious decision on aki's part. i also bet himeno didn't really know what to think of it initially, but soon looked at aki under a different light bc of it. i think aki finds comfort in himeno being in the same room as the tears spill from his eyes after a day of watching people die. and i think himeno loves giving him that, even though it tugs at her chest in uncomfortable ways she can't quite point out.

i feel compelled to but i won't go into the whole being in love with aki situation, because first of all its not even a headcanon but very much there and secondly i will ramble indefinitely about how i think her pining for him would manifest and this is already a huge post god bless

on a slightly different note before i bring this to a close, i like thinking about her bond with kishibe a lot as well. it's not shown enough in the anime or manga, but i imagine them being friends. i think they would go out for drinks but more to talk than get wasted. i think they'd have the capacity to talk about very real things but also nothing at all. kishibe might be the only person himeno talks to properly about aki, aside from her letters to her sister, because he shares the same life as her and inevitably has more space tl understand. maybe kishibe gets to talk a bit about quanxi too.

OMG I DONT KNOW! Like why do creative people feel the need to make stuff, I can't explain it. I just know that it's what I want to do as a creative outlet. And like usually (NOT LATELY BECAUSE THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS MY LIFE HAS BEEN A DISASTER) I reserve 9-10pm every night as WRITING TIME and like, it's not a chore for me! It's like a reward at the end of the day. So I spend all day thinking about what I'll write at 9pm when it's writing time. :D So there's like the half of it that's creative & spiritual to do, and also the half that's just like, my little Me Time that I allow myself that helps me unwind. :D

I DO but I don't get offended if they don't reply lol. But like ngl, if I notice a fic author doesn't reply to comments, I am less likely to leave a huge comment. Like one time I left a BOOK REPORT on a fic and the author replied to like, everyone EXCEPT me who was leaving emojis and stuff? And I felt really bad like I made them uncomfortable or something. So like. jkgald wording it like that makes me squeamish but I felt like the gangbang fic I wrote for the BDSM zine kinda flopped 😬 like it has some comments and people who did comment were really excited but like, proportionally to my other Sheith fics it didn't do well. And I wasn't sure if it was like TOO MUCH or something, bc it got a lot of hits but not so many comments, like it made me wonder if people opened the link out of curiosity but then noped out. Like I have Sheith fics with less hits that have 2 or 3x the comments. Whoops! And I wonder if I overcomplicated it. IDK!!!!!!!!!! 💌share something with us about an up-and-coming work (WIP) that has you excited!

For Sheith right now I'm back to working on my fic Tonight the Stars Revolt! which is like a retelling of canon if they were friends with benefits who kept fooling around after near death missions to relieve stress and like I WROTE THE FIRST 50K IN A MONTH on my break after my first ship contract and I didn't intend for it to get so complicated and plotty and I also absolutely did not intend for the last few chapters to be like A YEAR APART FROM EACH OTHER but I kept getting distracted doing exchanges and stuff, and I kinda try to like alternate Sheith and VC so I'd write a chapter, then write a VC fic, then it was time to go back to Sheith but I had an exchange, then VC, then a zine, then VC, etc. It just really got away from me but like it's my baby and it's where I pour all my meta and headcanons and I think about it constantly so every time I return to it I'm very exciting! The upcoming chapter includes a flashback about BABY KEITH and his DAD and a SNAKE and I'm really excited about it. :)
