Firstly, omds love??? I legit blushed while reading this.

Secondly, thank you for the request. I really enjoyed writing this one! This takes place in the alternative Naruto world in Tsunades dream. I ended up writing that his father disapproved of the reader instead. I feel like his mother and Itachi would be happy with whomever Sasuke is with as long as they make him happy.

Warning, this story contains a bit of racism (the reader is a Senju while Sasuke as you probably know is a Uchiha)

After the Fourth Great Ninja War, the two of you started dating when he came back after leaving the village. You had been in love since you were kids, but you didn’t realise how much you loved each other until he left the village. It didn’t pass a day without the two of you thinking about each other.

The two of you were rivals as your families pressured you to outdo each other. It was bound to happen with him being a Uchiha and you being a Senju. As you grew older and saw Naruto and Hinata getting married, you were ready to make your relationship known to the world. The two of you were eating at Ramen Ichiraku on a quick date before Sasuke went to work with the police force. “Sasuke, do you think it’s time for us to meet each other’s families?” Sasuke’s eyes widen, he always knew that this day would come. You were both of age, and your peers were planning their wedding. “You are right…but what about our situation? Senjus and Uchihas have been on each other’s throats since the village was built.”

You were in your great aunt Tsunade’s office helping out with healing an injured ninja. When the two of you finished, and he woke up, his wife came running in, embracing her husband. It warmed your heart seeing the two of them in love, adoring each other. Tsunade coughs, “So, Y/n, you are of age soon. Why haven’t the Uchiha boy proposed to you yet?” You feel your cheek burn “H-how did you know?” You and Sasuke really tried your best to be as secretive as possible. “I saw the way he looked at you when you healed him. It’s the same eyes Dan used to give me…Well…You aren’t getting any younger, and I want great-great nieces and nephews.“Aren’t you past fifty and…” You felt your soul leave your body as she slammed her fist on your head. You wobbled, feeling dizzy from that slam but managed to mutter out, “It’s a bit difficult. I don’t think my parents will approve of him being a Uchiha.” Tsunade pressed the bridge of her nose between her fingers. “That stupid old rivalry. Come with me.”

You follow her to your house, and she kicks your door open, finding your parents eating lunch. Your father gets off his seat to greet his aunt. Tsunade grabbed your father, lifting him by his shirt. “My beautiful grand niece wants to marry a Uchiha, any objections?” Your father shakes his head in fear “O-of course not, as long as you are happy, dear.” He stutters out while your mother nods in agreement. “See, that was easy. Now we have a wedding to plan,” Tsunade says, patting your father on his back and hitting the oxygen out of his body.

Now you were seated with Sasuke discussing your next big step. Sasuke nods at you finishing the story. “Well, you should come over for dinner next week, Itachi will be home by then.” You eagerly nod, excited to meet his family. It went smoothly with yours. Hopefully, it will go even better with his family. His father is the head of the Uchiha clan he might be more level-headed and more logical than your parents. Sasuke, on the other hand, hides his nervousness. He really wants to introduce you to his family, but he really wants his father’s and brother’s approval. He knows his mother would love whoever makes him happy.

You were now standing outside their house, with a flower bouquet in your hands. Sasuke is the one greeting you at the door. “You look beautiful,” he said, gently putting his hand on top of your head. He held the door open for you, and you were greeted by his family, who were preparing the table for dinner. The first one to greet you was his mother. She embraced you in a warm hug, you felt a wave of relief wash over you. “I’m delighted to meet my son’s gorgeous girlfriend.” You felt your cheek burn “T-the pleasure is all mine. Thank you for having me.” You said, giving her the bouquet. “Thank you, dear.” She smiled, giving you another hug. You offered to help her prepare the table, which she kindly accepted. The two of you talked while preparing the table. Sasuke noticed that you become more and more comfortable around his mother. Seeing the two of you smile and laugh together warmed his heart. When the table was set, his mother called upon the other men in the house.

The first to show up was the family’s patriarch. “Father, this is my girlfriend Y/n.” You dried your hands on the handkerchief and nervously shook the father’s hand. “A pleasure to meet you, Y/n.” He said with a firm voice. “N-no the pleasure is all mine.” You stuttered nervously, you have heard stories about Sasuke’s strict father. “Please, have a seat.” He said the four of you sat down at the table. “Sasuke, where is your brother?”

“I’m here, father. Sorry that I’m late. The Anbu mission took longer than expected.” Itachi said, having a towel on his shoulder. You glare at how Sasuke’s eyes light up at the sight of his older brother. You knew, based on his obnoxious bragging as a kid, that he adored his big brother. “Itachi, this is my girlfriend Y/n.” He said proudly. If there is one person in his family that would accept you, it would be Itachi. You stand up and shake his hand. Itachi couldn’t help but notice the Senju Clan embroidery on your dress. “Y/n, do you belong to the Senju clan?” He smiles. “O-oh, yes. Tobirama Senju was my paternal great-great-great grandfather.” You said. Itachi’s warm smile brought you hope, but that was quickly crushed as their father slammed the o-choko on the table. “I’m not having my youngest son marrying a Senju.” He said between his teeth.

“The Senjus are solely responsible for why we, Uchihas, have been discriminated against since the village was founded.” He continued standing up from his pillow. “Father, she has nothing to do with it!” Sasuke said, accidentally triggering his Sharinga. Which his father responded with the same eyes. “I don’t want anything to do with the Senju clan, especially a brat who is a direct descendant of Tobirama. If you know what’s best for you, leave this house immediately.” You wanted to earth to swallow you as tears were running down your face. You immediately left “Darling, wait”, his mother said as you rushed out of the house. Sasuke gets up to run after you “Sasuke, stop” he ordered.

“You don’t have to like her, but you will respect her as she will be your daughter-in-law whether you approve of it or not.” He finishes running after you. His brother looks at their father with disapproved eyes. “Father, this could’ve been a great opportunity for the Uchihas to approve that we wish to integrate into Konoha. And who knows, she might infect Sasuke with the will of fire which might prevent him from running away again.” Itachi shakes his head before excusing himself. He uses his Sharingan and spots you and Sasuke sitting on top of a bridge above a river.

You leaned your head on Sasuke’s shoulder, while he rapped his arm around you. “Your father hates me, h-he didn’t even give me a chance to explain myself.” You mutter, still sniffing from your crying. “Forget about him. It’s only the two of us against the world, right? You nod, and he slides a silver ring on your finger. You lift your head off his shoulder “S-sasuke” you were shocked at his gesture. He still wants to marry you, even with his father’s disapproval. He turns, facing you “There is no one I can imagine standing by my side. You are the spring sun, in my cold winter days…I-I don’t think I can do this without you.” Sasuke is stunned as he sees tears streaming down your smiling face. You threw yourself over him, embracing him in a hug causing him to fall on his back. “You and me, right, Sasuke?” He responds by putting his index and middle finger on your forehead.

How I feel about this character:

I love him (no one should be surprised)! More specifically, I remember watching the show back in the day and thinking, "Wow, he's really fuckin creepy, I'm getting Slade vibes." By the end of Bitter Reunions he had unironocally become my favorite character and I'd get excited any time a Vlad episode came on. I almost always wind up loving the villains more than the MC. He's creepy, he's scary, he's pathetic, and sad, and scared, and everything in between! How can I not love him?

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

Almost exclusively Danny, but also a little bit of Jack, and with Valerie and Danny in a polyship.

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

Jack Fenton! Vlad will never escape Jack's unconditional love and friendship.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

I'm just gonna quietly admit here that I hate hate hate the babygirl thing people do with characters, and that extends to my villains, but especially Vlad. To each their own and all that, but it annoys me to no end.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this:

I wish Danny had actually become legitimately scared of Vlad at some point. I know it's a kids' show, and I know that Danny is supposed to be the snappy hero who triumphs every episode, but one of the reasons I like The Ultimate Enemy episode so much is because Danny technically fails. Had Clockwork not had a soft spot for him, Danny wpuld have lost everything in that episode and only "wins" on a technicality. Up til then, he develops a legit fear of his future self, and we see more of this in the GN.

Vlad is someone who has had nothing but time to hone his skills, and Danny struggles to fight him multiple times throughout the show, and it can be inferred that Vlad is going easy on him, especially when Kindred Spirits rolls around and he punches through solid concrete trying to capture Danny. "Funny, ha-ha Vlad isn't here today" - that is a horrifying line. Danny would have failed in this episode, too, if not for Danielle having a change of heart when Vlad reveals his true colors, and I would have loved for this to be the time when Danny actually starts to realize that, "oh wait! Vlad's scary as fuck, and I still have a long way to go to reach his level!"

But once again, snappy/quippy kids show, hero's gotta win.

a headcanon fact:

I don't know how much of a headcanon it is, especially since we get hints of it in canon and now in the GN, but Vlad is possessive af. Of items, of people - once he's claimed them, they're his, and he won't let them go for any reason, and he lives in constant fear of losing them. Maybe it's a result of losing his best friends after the portal incident. Maybe it has something to do with being half-ghost, but this man has a constant undercurrent of fear lying just below the surface, and when threatened, he responds with anger, claws and fangs bared to the world, ready to lash out and blame everyone for everything but never himself.

ok so the thing about my ocs is that i just drop them in any scenario ever so i truly am unable to verbalise any of these aus in detail lmfaoooooooooo. however i DO keep going back to a lgowab au with the 50th season ocs just bc keep thinking about how they would react. bc let me tell you they would fucking REACT. they only JUST left the simulator and now they gotta do this shit FOR REAL? literally half of their class would be dead within days mostly out of dumb luck but also theyre easy enough targets without being considered "kids" (considering 53 is the newest season, theyve been given a few years outside of the simulator already). and with all of the guns flying around wooowwwww ryobe and naomi would actually go crazy

there are LOTS of "what if" aus i have in mind for erin/billie just because those two are the characters i played in rps lmfao!!!! erin managed to survive and billie was the first death, so theres lots to be done regarding scenarios where that Doesn't Happen. ESPECIALLY erin, who basically got saved last minute from being the blackened despite her making literally the biggest mistake of her entire life and killing a man lol. and billie surviving .......... a lot of her character was just the tragedy of her not getting to grow up so giving her the ability to Grow Up is very sweet. honestly there are so many what if scenarios for all of these characters just because theyre danganronpa ocs hfdjgsfsjgk like the what if scenario of naomi getting caught in that final chapter. like that would have changed the public's perceptive of season 50 entirely. soooo many postgame relationships would be different and significantly less strained. and with the public not being super enthused by the ending of the 50th season the participants might have had time to actually chill out a bit lmfaoo.

swap aus are so so much fun but i dont have many in mind!!!! BUT I LOVE THEM! i think it's really fun when you keep their personalities but give them other talents teehee. i think legit the only talent swap that i have ever thought of before was one my friend roman briefly did with the characters in the rp we were in, and erin got swapped with the ultimate palaeontologist lol. she'd be SO into giving tours to elementary classes in museums. not a second would pass without her dropping a dinosaur fact on you. the fantastic thing about erin is that being a children's entertainer practically defines her at first (because her entire life and persona is dedicated to being pippy) so removing that aspect of her and giving her another ultimate talent is soooo funny because its like. The Whimsy. It's Gone and she's Normal

a season 50 swap would be so funny as well mostly because i can not imagine naomis scared ass being anything but a runner however i think it would be kinda fucked up if she was the ultimate lucky student considering what she got away with 🤔 rie is similar to erin in the way her entire life is dedicated to her talent and the pursuit of perfection and being this beautiful pageant queen so she would need a talent that allows her that level of dedication i reckon. maybe shes the ultimate content creator and becomes this beauty vlogger who does millions and millions of brand deals!!!! idk LOTS TO THINK ABOUT!!!!

Kurt Glee Rewatch: The Power of Madonna

I know it’s not a major Kurt ep, but I just love him and Mercedes here omg. Lowkey one of my fav Glee songs...

Lowkey the first time is hype about the assignment and Will didn’t even come up with it... classic.

Also I need to convey how much I love his hoodie (esp with the hat, prob so hood doesn’t fall down). I wish we got to see it again! Kurt has some pieces he wears a lot (black boots, white pants, this grey shirt w a white collar), but then there are outfits that appear once and then... never again.

Love that he dances along, the only one truly appreciating the performance. This is why Kurt hangs out with the girls, gosh. Like dudes, even with your prejudice, can’t you appreciate an absolute bop???

But also bc Kurt in same hoodie... this is the same day. When did the girls do the costume change and practice? I love glee logic lol.

Another great look, lowkey love him in turtlenecks. And I love Kurtcedes s1! Do we ever see Kurt do film ever again? Bc this talent came outta nowhere? I guess there’s sorta the music video at Vogue when he gives Rachel a makeover? Would be fun if we saw more of it.

And yay, the start of Kurt and Sue’s super weird friendship. I find it sweet that even after everything, Kurtcedes still has sympathy for her. Even though she then goes to throw students around... and Kurtcedes is unfazed... what is this school.

He’s so hurt that Sue couldn’t keep up with fashion trends... a true travesty.

“Mercedes is black, I’m gay. We make culture” I love it.

I legit love the Kurt and Sue dynamic. I’m sure part of this was them wanting the Cheerios for their video, but he also wants to help. I think Kurt respects Sue, but doesn’t agree with her methods. And he def sees the humanity in her, here and in Funeral.

And Sue def has sympathy for Kurt and I think she does respect him on some level. He has that more snarky side and like. He also has no affection for Schue.

First off, Chris Colfer looks so good in vintage style/black and white. You can often see Kurt’s influence of old Hollywood and it just fits. It’s why I get so annoyed when there are jokes/comments of Kurt wearing ridiculous/girly stuff bc it seems like the other characters treat him like a more camp-y gay and that’s not really his style? He’s so into fashion and he prefers a more sophisticated look.

But anyway, I’m so curious about the behind the scenes of this vid. I’m assuming Sue paid for it bc it looks v extra. But also just... how they styled everything etc. I can’t imagine that Sue is easy to work with.

Ooh, another vintage-y look. Very detective-vibes.

Also, even tho the Kurt-Sue friendship is starting, she still keeps him on the list she gives to Figgins lol. She wants all them glee kids gone. Or maybe she thinks that Kurt would actually mange to make it in a new city with 5 bucks lol.

And then.... then we get... Cheerio!Kurt!!!

First I need to point out a rare Quinn/Kurt interaction! And if you watch them in the background, you can see Kurt (but really Chris tbh) playing with the hat, puts it on Quinn’s head for a second. I love it. Wish we had more of them in canon.

I will gush forever about cheerio!Kurt. I loved football!Kurt too and wish we got more eps, but omg him as a cheerio is everything. I’m happy he was a cheerio for a while (tho I wish we got to see another performance, esp the Celine Dion medley). ANd omg why wasn’t he on the team longer?? I guess tricky s2 with his transfer, but s3?? When he needs stuff for his application? And ugh, I just wanted more.

And I’m so happy he and Mercedes joined bc they prob felt so useless in glee. At least Mercedes gets some of the belt-notes? But Kurt is just background. This is his first song since Wheels (second in the season) and he’s already improved so much? I love when they let him sing in his lower tones, he sounds so good. And he’s such a performer, all the energy.

I wish we got more Kurtcedes duets. I just... they’re so great. And the only other one is in s5 and tbh not a fan of that one. This is just.. I love it! Esp as Mercedes’ voice is amazing, but in Glee they don’t always have her perform so much? Like, she had Bust Your WIndows but after that they have her as the ‘park and bark’ character? But pair her with Kurt, who was a born performer, and it’s amazing. Plus their chemistry, and they hype each other up, it’s so great.

Esp compared to Wheels! And his audition! That awk kid standing still and singing? Gone. He’s having so much fun and you can see that here is where he is truly confident as a performer. And this song is just so fun, esp with everyone’s reactions in the crowd (I love how happy Quinn is for them).

Tbh Will has no reason to be mad. He has other cheerios in glee. And they aren’t leaving the club. Plus, even after they do this and have repeatedly voiced their opinions on wanting to perform, he still never gives them a real chance to perform. I just- Ugh he angers me so much.

Part of me just has this pic bc I love his outfit here (and we never see it again).

Love that he’s included in this, even tho he hasn’t been doing much sexist stuff? But hey, why miss out on chance to sing Madonna? And he can speak out as the ‘honorary girl’ and call out the others. Love that he makes sure Will admits his faults lol

No but they’re so cute, honestly.

Yay, Kurt got a line here. They had him do that higher register tho, which isn’t as refined... but at least it’s something

Not gonna lie, anytime I hear this song it makes me think of the comic Check Please bc in the Locker Room guide, the characters sing this in the background lol

My experience with getting out of burnout

So as I've mentioned, I basically disappeared from the Internet, lurking in the shadows, for over a year.

What happened? One random day, May 2021, I didn't have the drive to draw anything. I thought "Oh great! Another art block. Oh well, it'll go away in week I'm sure." So I decided to wait for it to pass and just chill for a bit. I waited, and waited, and waited, aaaand wai- WAIT IT'S BEEN FIVE MONTHS!?

So yeah... five months passed since I last even grabbed a pencil, when I finally started to worry. At this point I was trying to force myself to draw just ANYTHING, but it just didn't work. I either didn't have the drive for it or I had no clue what to draw.

I came to the conclusion that it's probably because of the extra stress I've been under from school (cause I was graduating). But even after all my exams were dealt with I still couldn't get myself to make anything.

"Maybe it's a sign. Maybe this whole art thing isn't actually for me." I legit thought about throwing in the towel for good on multiple occasions, but I didn't want to. Obviously. I've been drawing since I was a kid and always loved it, why would that now suddenly change. But I just didn't know what to do.

I just did what I'm great at: look for random posts from random people on the Internet and see if anyone has gone through something similar and what they did. In that search I became ever more familiar with the concept of burnout and it's effect on people.

I realised that I was experiencing burnout, and I realised why. I've been putting too much pressure on myself, on the quality of my art, and the amount of it. I was taking it way too seriously.

I'm not (yet) a professional, so why am I so hard on myself about the quality? Because the people whose work I look up to and admire are a thousand times better than mine. I tried to rush to get even close to their level. I would get extremely disappointed that my art didn't work out as I wanted and go "Why do I even bother? I'll never be as good as X or Y." You know, maybe that's true, I'll never be as good as them, but also I so far just didn't have the time to get to their level. I'm turning 20 next month, some of the people I look up to are in their 30s or 40s, they have been in the industry for literal DECADES. I haven't had the time to get to their level, because I just haven't been alive for long enough yet. For some reason I didn't realise this until like six months ago.

This finally allowed me to go easier on myself. Sure, I'm not yet as good as want to be, but I'm was still improving and that's the thing that should matter. After some thought, I decided to take it easy, for real this time. I started to revisit old movies a shows I remembered loving as kid, to try to go back to where my mind was when I decided to take art more seriously. I finally took the opportunity to play some games I've been meaning to for a while, and even replay older ones I liked.

A couple months go by when one day I was suddenly... bored. I didn't want to play anything, I didn't have it in me to sit down and watch something, instead I instinctively reached for my sketchbook and pencil! And then I started doodling some random shit! It wasn't a lot, but it was a start.

I've spent the past 4 months getting back into drawing regularly. It started with small steps, a small sketch here, some doodles there, and sometimes I fell back a little bit. One of those times was the occasion that gave me the idea to also start writing. I was getting so many ideas for things in my head, but I didn't yet have enough drive to visualise them, so I decided to write them down instead. This made for me to now have two creative outlets, so if I'm not feeling like doing one, I can always do the other.

I am still working on getting my old rhythm back and draw more frequently, but I'm making sure that I don't over work myself and that I don't take the art I make too seriously, it is supposed be fun after all. And boy have I been having fun lately!

IT and I have a long history. I first read IT in the 3rd grade. My parents didn’t censor my reading because I was an advanced reader, my parents skipped Dr. Seuss and the childrens’ books and I stepped out the gate learning from YA books. My bedtime stories were chapters of Harry Potter books from before I could read.

When 3rd grade rolled around, I started to feel a bit weird with reading even though I grew up loving it. It was odd, because when I did the reading SOL (state wide standardised testing) it came with a number to put into a website that would recommend books for your reading level- I was jazzed so I did it. The website gave me a list of college text books and only college textbooks. I was bummed.

The weekend came around and then we went to my used bookstore for our weekly trip. (Back then I’d get 5-7 books and read them all in a week) I told my Father that I read some goosebumps and some more kid’s scary stories but I felt like they were too simple, too easy. He asked about why I picked them up, which I read, what I liked about them, etc. so then he walked me over to a shelf with Stephen King’s books and handed me a copy of IT. He explained the summary- a bunch of kids in a small town in Maine are trying to stop a killer clown. I still have that exact copy. It was the only book I got that week- it was my first that was an actual horror novel as well as it was over 1000 pages. I took it everywhere with me, even school (my teacher and called my mom and I was still able to bring it). Every bit of free time was spent in IT. I love this book.

So reviewing this books is hard for me to objective about. This was my 3rd reread but it’s been years. It is also why I am terrified of clowns like legit run away leave my friend for dead terrified (which I have irl done). So of course I can say that yes I agree with some of the things people say about it being a bit dated and problematic. But I love those things, it’s doesn’t take away anything the way I see it. I can say that I don’t agree with the viewpoints and can see how they are wrong. So I can’t review this book because of how I feel about it and how much of a staple this was for me as a child. It let me love reading when I felt insecure and off about it. It led me to a genre I still predominantly read and enjoy.

After reading It in the 3rd grade my Dad also let me watch the movie, i was scared and it didn’t help my fear of clowns, but I liked it. And I still watched the new ones that recently came out. IT was also my first horror movie as well, it lead me to a hole new world. It also was a huge thing for me and parents, anytime I had a question or just didn’t get something I was able to ask and they’d talk to me about IT.

5 out of fucking 5 every time for this book. I love Bill, Eddie, Stanley, Mike, Richie, Ben, and Beverly will always be favourite characters of all time. Even Little Georgie and *shudder* Pennywise. (Ugh). It was all about the journey with this one.

Let’s see how far i get in 30 minutes.

Doing this before work is a mother*.

We had our conversation which was left unfinished. And no, I don’t mean that as something bad. Life’s hectic, things happen, and everyone has their own priorities. I had time to think too. And always, before speaking to you, think first. Except lately I’ve been reacting more. The main problem of mine is feelings. And lately they’ve all been amped up again. Especially considering the timing of everything. It’s not that I love others less, but it’s more like I love you more. That is MY problem, but I realize I’ve started making it yours too. I know and understand what I need to. You can’t help, not much you can do, if you could you would gladly. And that’s the extent of what you’ve told me. Other than that what I can see is that you legit do care for and about me. Probably more in the sense of not wanting to see me unwell or hurt and you try your best the help. And that I infinitely appreciate.

Things that hurt me. There’s really one thing that was said on May 1st that hurt. It did at the time and it did again when you apologized for something else. It was around truth or dare and to name your 3. You had two names and the last one a maybe. That question and probably whatever answer you gave was going to hurt regardless, that’s the nature of that game, depending what side you’re on. It actually brought me back to when I was a kid and that time wasn’t always fun with crushes and such. Not being good enough and all of that. There’s always that one other popular kid, better than most etc etc.

Other things. It’s mostly being an afterthought. Here I mix work with personal. Work part is that there are certain ways and channels to go, and it feels like I am always the last to know, even things that are my responsibilities. And some times I get the info too late and from both sides and it puts me in a bad spot anyway, because the way I react trying to be the good colleague. And the part where decisions are made when it’s my responsibility for whatever reasons, and then yeah, that’s another rant on it’s own. Hero complex or whatever. Anyway, the more these things happen, the less I see myself there, as in why should I be there if they’re doing the job for me anyway. Disrespectful, but every time I let it slide, that happens. And when I speak up, I am the one being difficult to work with. But the level of control and others wanting to manage everything and such… I am starting to get tired of that. Where you come in is the part where I’ve shared part of it with you, and it feels like knowingly you do the same thing as everyone else. Might be my problem because I put too much of that weight on you, the one that is different or my personal escape. And I am starting to get more and more disappointed and disenchanted with things. That is one thing I don’t want when it comes to you.

The last thing is me. I live too much in my head. Normally I keep it contained. Mostly I get what I need to get by, but then when stretches of time come around and if feels like things start slipping away, be it seeing you less around or having less of an interaction with you (with all the restrictions already) it gets heavy and I become unpleasant. I need to work on that. And I try. It’s just not easy. I can’t just erase stuff. And some stuff I don’t want to erase anyway. But maybe I need one last round of mostly truth than dare to get this over with. Get my questions answered and probably move on.

P.s. that last pic we took together is my favorite. So if that’s the end of that, high note!

This I’m going to leave on longer. If it gets read, great. If not, at least I got to let part of this out.

I think it would be something a bit less like Nintendo's take and a bit more like this-

Wind is the darkest skinned of them. I'm thinking Pacific Islander level of brown, well loved by the sun and much harder to burn than literally all of his brothers.

Twi is close to, if not darker than Wind, depending o how you feel about the Gerudo Twilight theory. He's got darker skin from his heritage, but also because he's a freaking farm boy! As a former farm-girl (man I miss that) I can say this- come summer you're either red as a hen's comb or you're brown as their eggs cause there isn't much in between!

Sky is tan. Not as much as most Skyloftians, because he's always been something of a sleepy remlit and tends to doze in shady places. He's tan though, a warm sun-kissed color, and definitely handles heat better than anyone blow him on this list.

Wild is nearly as tan as Sky. Kid runs around half clothed most of the time, his tan is everywhere and he is incapable of burning. Even without sun, I hc him as having a naturally darker skin shade, although I also have him dealing with vitiligo, so he does get selectively crispy in some spots, which is annoying as all get out.

When split, Red has a healthy tan from being out in the sun a lot, and Green's a got a softish one himself. Blue's inside of the forge a lot after their adventure, so he doesn't see the sun unless he's training, patrolling, or got dragged out by Zelda or his brothers. Vio though? Boy looks like he's burn if he stood in the sun for ten minutes, has to wear long sleeves or suffer throughout summer (and suffer he does) so he and Shadow have to share a sun umbrella in the warmer months when they go places.

Collectively of course, Four is only lightly tanned, hardly enough to be noticed, unless you stand him next to Legend or Wars.

Time is a healthy golden himself, I think. Like, again, farm life does that to you. Also he's got a wife he has no problem with him working shirtless, so this ain't no farmers tan, this is the legit thing. He burns easy-ish (Kolkiri ae essentially Irish), but he is capable of tanning.

Hyrule is pale. Like, the sun has been hiding behind clouds of malice for ages, you can't tell me he's tan. He's naturally of a darker skin tone, maybe slightly olive (I've seen hcs that Catalia is essentially Italy) but he just looks sick most of the time because he's never seen the sun since he started adventuring. (I have a friend who's a light olive, but tends to hide indoors, so they kinda look sickly when they don't get any sun, even when they're perfectly fine).

Wars is pale. Like, he can't tan. There's a double purpose for that scarf, and while he gets teased, it works well as a veil against harsh sunlight. He's kinda just- white. Like, not super pale, but the Gerudo desert would kill him without sun-block.

Legend could be mistaken for a porcelain doll. Like, he grew up in the shade of an orchard, and while, sure, he tanned when he was travelling abroad, he also spent a lot of time in Lorule, which has very poor lighting, and afterwards he was always galivanting around in big hats and weird clothes that covered most of him. Legend cannot tan well, and it always comes at the cost of a sunburn first.

And boy oh boy did I get carried away with that! But yes, anon, I agree. These boys ain't all white.

Neil Josten Appreciation Post

Alright, let’s just start this by addressing the big elephant in the room: everyone loves Neil Josten. EVERYONE.

If you don’t, you’re lying.

Okay, first up- I’m glad this is getting addressed more on AFTG tumblr but Neil is literally so much smarter than the fandom gives him credit for.

Like yes, he’s a little dumdum on the social aspect of things (you could argue he kind of has a low EQ but also not really, I would argue that later)

but that doesn’t dismiss that he is smart af and that he can kill you and make it look natural if he wants.

For example, he literally outrun and hid from the mafia for years. Like, that in itself is an obvious point but we often forget that he did this at a very young age.

Like, he was presumably what? 16?? (when Mary kicked the bucket?) And kid was already playing hide and seek pretty well with a freaking mafia.

He does not get enough credit for this.

The survival skills it takes- the mental strength to survive as a runaway and technically he’s also homeless- at freaking 16, that’s just insane.

Also, let’s not mention the fact that it takes skills to forge official papers and all that.

We also do not talk enough about Neil and how he freaking have to relearn an entirely new position just to play exy.

I don’t think most remember that he’s actually a backliner, but have to play as a striker because it was the only available position in that local high school he attended in Millport, and that was how Kevin saw him so he was recruited as a striker.

We also additionally do not talk enough about how Kevin “literal and figurative Son of Exy” Day found potential for court in Neil “I’m a backliner but I’m playing striker because it’s the only thing available and I’m an exy junkie” Josten who only played it for like a year or less.

Like yeah, Kevin said he needs more training but it’s not even Neil’s official position.

The talent on this man- I cannot, he is such an icon.

Aside from his great survival skills and being literally great at picking things up- he’s also like freaking academically smart.

Like that also doesn’t get enough credit- I mean, he does math for fun.

Frankly, I think if you did Kumon or if you had an awesome teacher you could also do math for fun (I know I did) but this should be noted with the fact that he didn’t have proper schooling.

He went on a run at a really young age so there is no way he received formal education.

Which means he is naturally like really smart.

He’s also a polyglot. And the languages he has under his belt are all freaking difficult to learn- like, no kidding: French, German, and he can assumingly speak intermediate Spanish, and we don’t even have an idea if this is all the languages he can speak.

Also, he and Andrew learns how to speak Russian, right? Like, that’s crazy.

The brain on this man and the power that he has- my son, I am so proud.

I mean, for all we know- there’s more than that and the fact that he’s like 18 at TFC screams supremacy.

This is where I argue about his EQ but Neil is crazy perceptive.

It took him like freaking 3 seconds to figure out the team dynamics the foxes have, and how to work against it.

He later figured out how to make it all mesh together.

Like the way he do things isn’t conventional but reading him analyze his team despite his lack of empathy really makes me shudder.

Like, this kid is so freaking smart. I remember reading his thought process for the very first time and being like, okay- I definitely did not think about that.

The main problem with his EQ though is that he doesn’t know how to process positive stuff when he’s involved, but when he’s the outsider- his perspective is so amazing.

Like again, he kind of lacks empathy but the way he understands things and is just so sharp is just noteworthy.

I’d argue he doesn’t understand social cues and “modern teen things” but he isn’t so completely clueless on the social aspect in general as to not manipulate an entire team of misfits with issues to work together.

He’s literally the key to unity in AFTG. Even Dan says so.

Also, the way he puts things into play- like he’s a master manipulator, and I love that for him.

We do not talk enough about manipulative Neil, like I just really love manipulative characters in general so much- especially if they’re just owning it.

I mean, he freaking manipulated Andrew and Aaron into therapy. Kind of evil but also wow. (just a sidenote, please don’t force people into therapy lol)

Going completely dark for a second, Neil also has a freaking high pain tolerance.

The amount of horrible things he went through in the books were just so sad and the fact that he just kind of moves on from it? That’s just completely oh my gods.

My poor summer child, even if you can kill me at any given time, let me just hug you for a second with consent.

Everyone also gives shit about Neil’s fashion choices and granted it is said he kind of bags the homeless looks but the fact that he values utility above all else-

Yes, we stan a resourceful king.

Lowkey though, am I the only one who appreciate Neil’s average style?

Speaking of style- I love the way Neil narrates. Like, the way he doesn’t give much attention to how the character looks- it’s just so realistic?

Because if I’m talking to a person in real life, there is no way I am noting how his blue polo makes him kind of casual but clean-cut and how his brown eyes is as warm as my morning coffee. Like, who even does that?

The thing with Neil’s narration is that it’s just so authentic- like it easily engages the readers and the way he gives importance to every thing the same way, it really makes it easier for the reader to discern things objectively, y’know what I mean?

He just has that quality in a main character and narrator- he’s laidback and sarcastic but not trying too hard, and he’s just really easy to love.

Like, I normally don’t like narrators/main characters in books because I favor a side character more or just because they’re annoying, but Neil Josten is legit lovable.

At the same time, he’s also a really well-written character. Like, for all the technicalities I point out in AFTG, Neil is an asshole. He’s not perfect and I don’t 100% love everything that he does and I love that.

He’s a flawed character but he gives you something to root for- and I just really want to appreciate his characterization for a second. Most books make their characters’ flaws not even their fault to put a check to the flawed character but at the same time still have that perfect character. Eeww, no- give me real flaws to work with.

He’s one of the realest protagonists I ever read.

Like people give him shit for wanting to hide but also choosing to play a nationwide-discerned sport on an infamous collegiate team but for me it’s kind of realistic.

Because I think we, as human beings, also do things we love too much regardless of logic. I don’t know, like it’s kind of funny the way Neil is written but I honestly didn’t see him joining Palmetto as a loophole.

Like, just think of all those successful people who hid their identities via pseudonym or other necessary means to do things they weren’t expected to do or weren’t allowed to do.

For me, his character was really just looking for excuses to play his favorite sport a second longer and if anything, that’s just kind of sad.

But also, his dedication and love to exy is really admirable- like I never understood it but the way he literally does everything to stay on the court for a second longer just makes me want to root for him.

On a random note, Neil may not have an eidetic memory like Andrew’s but the way he memorize most phone numbers by heart?

Bruh, I don’t even have my phone number memorized and I freaking have it for two years now.

He also memorizes every twists and turns at every trip, every exits at a room he enters, and most people’s tics upon the first meeting, and other things and that’s just crazy perceptive but also really crazy on another level.

Also, we don’t get much ace/demi representation and out of the few I’ve consumed, demi Neil Josten validates me. He’s legit my favorite character that belongs in the ace spec in books.

I just really love Neil’s character so much- he’s just so amazing.

One thing I always appreciate about Neil Josten is that while he’s not a total angel (sadly), the way he loves the foxes- like he legit tried to mend the team and make sure everyone is going to be okay before walking straight to his death- like I’m with Andrew on this one, what a fucking martyr. Why are you like this and why am I crying?

Neil Josten is by all means not soft, that much is established, but the way he’s just still as precious and must be protected at all costs-

"You know, I get it," Neil said. "Being raised as a superstar must be really, really difficult for you. Always a commodity, never a human being, not a single person in your family thinking you're worth a damn off the court—yeah, sounds rough. Kevin and I talk about your intricate and endless daddy issues all the time."

I love him, your honor- where can I file this adoption papers and do I have anything else to sign?

A while ago, I received this email:

I'd love to feature your beautiful pictures on my page, so my followers can see how good they are. My account is @Glamnexclusive and I have over 60000 followers and I know they are going to love your awesome images. After seeing your pictures some of them will also start following you.

Let me know if I can do this, because I know that if we do this, you can gain so many new followers.

Now, Obviously, I knew this was a scam, but curiosity killed the cat and so... this was my response Email:

Okay so at first I was just going to ignore this, but the more I sat on it, the more curious I got. Honestly, I feel like I've got a pretty good chance that I'm just going to get the automated response that tells me how much it's going to cost me for you to repost my photos, and it's never going to pass in front of human eyes anyway, BUT...

Curiosity killed the cat.

Obviously, I know this is a scam. Unless you're going to try to convince me that the comments on the photos of the disabled children that say things like "omg your so hot," etc, (which are copy-pasted word for word on all the other model pictures, by the by,) are real comments, I know this is fake.

As I was browsing your photos, most of the model photos had accounts listed that didn't exist, so I can assume those are the filler photos of choice, which fits your list of "things we love" on the profile description, (none of said categories even fit my content, of which is digital art), but, I get it, models are a pretty safe bet on Instagram.

This did make the photos of those who did fall for this, however, stick out pretty clearly, and statistically, they are definitely in the minority.

And, based on a quick google search and Reddit browsing, I discovered your packages cost $35 for one shout out, $69 for 4 shout outs ($69? Really? There's no way you got to that number through any sort of valid math) and $139 for 10 shout outs.

Which, firstly; means it goes from $35 per shout-out, to $17.25 per shout-out, all the way down to $13.9 per shout out which, is quite an interestingly steep discount. Anyhoo, if we average that out I can guess you make about $22.05 dollars a post. And, in the past 24h as of writing this, you've made 6 posts, 4 of which link to real accounts.

Which I will admit is more than I was originally expecting, but...

Is the income that you and/or your team making actually able to sustain you?

Based on the IP address I extracted from your email, it seems you're located in Hammerbrooke, in Hamburg Germany. Assuming you take USD, $22 on 4 posts, a total of $108 USD converts to about $94 Euro.

Now, after a brief glimpse at the Instagram suggested pages, it's pretty clear based on profile photos alone that you also operate @fabneclusive, @deluxemstyle, and I would place bets on @glamn_luxurious as well.

Even considering all of that, $94x4 every day, the amount of work it takes to do and uphold what you are doing, not even considering the cost of upkeep itself, is this actually a business model that you and/or your team find any financial security in?

I mean, we are also obviously avoiding the entire topic of morals here altogether, (you scammed a charity for disabled kids... that's like, comic book villain levels, honestly, I can't think of any group/person that would be worse to scam...)

Regardless, what I think baffles me the most is just how easy this would be to do in a legit way. Simply having a page that has actual real followers, not bots, and supporting/reposting other Instagrams.

Pages that share things, especially like artists for instance, and popular. You could easily gain a real following, and charge artists for pro-mo that would actually benefit both parties.

Not only would you not be scamming anymore, but you would no longer have to be constantly changing your domain name, (which it appears you've done at least 4 times off of go.daddy alone)(also which, by the way, your site is listed as "coming soon" at the moment, and needs to be fixed) and I can almost guarantee you that you'd make a LOT more money because people would actually approach YOU asking to be featured, which, again, you could charge for just like you are doing now.

I obviously understand that getting to that point is the hard part, and it may seem much easier in the short term to not bother but...

Consider; what if you started a real account alongside your scams? You could nurture that account until you eventually dont need the scam pages anymore.

Because, while I obviously do think you guys are scum bags, I'm a realist, and I know that you have to do what puts food on the table, but...

Well, it's something to think about, at least.

Anyway, there's a good chance this email will never actually reach real human eyes, but in the case that it does:

Is this alone actually enough to sustain you?

Does what you do bother you at all?

How many years have you even been doing this? Because as far as I could trace back was when your domain was registered on April 21st, 2021, which doesn't predate the pandemic.

This begs the question, did the pandemic have anything to do with this?

Well, now I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I actually get any kind of response from this. It would be interesting.

If you’re asexual and hate sexy doll pics…. That sounds like a you problem, stop trying to make it everyone else’s problem. Ask people to tag, use the block button, go ahead and curate your feed, but demanding everybody cater to your likes and dislikes is kind of self centered. Sincerely, somebody who posts 0 sexy doll content and never has. Also posting sexy pics in a hobby that is CLEARLY NOT for children, dolls or not, is not grooming and it is totally ridiculous to claim that.

Also, minors in this hobby please understand that these dolls are not typically geared toward children. if you are responsible enough to handle the detailed sculpting of these dolls such as their detailed genitalia, you should be mature enough to block and move on when you encounter a doll photo or story that is sexual in nature. You are not the target audience in mind and there is no reason to think the entire hobby should cater to you. This is the internet not a public school.

When it comes to 18+ doll topics, I'm a firm believer in the AO3 method of tagging your shit. Is it a perfect method? No, but tagging it is basically due diligence. Especially since so many parents can't be arsed to, y'know, parent their kids online. If you tag your 18+ art and someone complains, like minors/antis who hunt down things to whine about, then the onus is on them for deliberately looking at things they know will bother/upset them. If you tag, then the people who bitch about it will have no one to blame but themselves. Maybe the community using a unified tag like NSFM (not safe for minors) would help?

Bjds have a slight uncanny valley effect for me, which is one of the reasons I love them. Idk why but this it makes me feel some uncomfortable emotion when I see them sexualised (something like mild disgust or cringe?). I'm not really sure why sexualisation pushes the uncanny valley to an uncomfortable level for me. uwu it’s baby ren time

basically this is an AU type of thing i’m messing around with, in which at some point (probably due to a child losing control of their semblance or something like that), ren’s age is regressed to be about 2 or 3 years old.

A few bits about this AU:

As an infant (with no memories of anything past that age) he’d likely be most comfortable with Jaune, because he probably has experience with young children (i imagine he has quite a few cousins). Nora might actually be a little scary for him tbh, cause she’s pretty loud and excitable, and even at that age i don’t think Ren would particularly be all about that. Pyrrha has experience with young fans, but not children on a personal level, so she wouldn’t really know how to interact with Ren. So until the two of them work out how the hell to act, Ren would cling to Jaune a little bit (he’s pretty stoked that he’s finally the best at something).

I’m willing to bet Ren was pretty quiet as a kid, and he’s not old enough to be talking that much anyway, so he’s mostly silent.

He’s a little smaller than the average 2-3 year old.

Ren. loves. cuddles. Baby mans is literally always clinging to someone. He has fallen asleep on Jaune’s chest so many times. He slots himself against the team’s sides while they’re sitting, and they don’t even notice he’s there until they try to get up and he starts whining.

Pyrrha’s really good at telling stories. Like fantastical stories about magic and all that jazz, all off the top of her head. She’ll tell Ren a story before he goes to sleep, and he listens to every word and gets invested in it every time. He’ll be out like a light straight after.

Nora’s got play time handled. Like Pyrrha, she’s good at coming up with an interesting narrative that’s easy for a 3 year old to follow. She’s learned to tone down her exciteability at this point, so their playtime adventures are pretty chill.

Sometimes when Ren’s asleep or in her lap, Nora just watches him, and imagines him with his family at this age. Some days, being with Ren in his current condition just reminds her of all they went through when they were young. And what could’ve been if the bad things never happened. But then Ren will snap her out of it by putting his hands to her cheeks and giving her a concerned look, and it’ll be like nothing ever happened.

Jaune is perfect for cuddles. If he lies on his side, Ren can literally just curl up against his stomach, and Jaune will wrap is arms around him and it’s like a really big heated blanket. Ren is literally miniscule in comparison to Jaune’s height so i will reiterate,,,,, ren tiny

Ren can fall asleep anywhere. Legit anywhere. Jaune once found him squished between the wall and a bed before, and he was dead to the world.

Okay that’s all I’ve got for now, but I may come back with more at some point.

At least in Sandboy, Ladybug was still competent and came up with the plans, but this?! It makes me sick, and it's all too easy to fall into these traps; even Kim Possible did it! In my magical girl story, the heroine does get put in a magical coma and require someone to bail her out, but it's her female friends AND her boyfriend who save her, so it's not just a girl being weakened so a boy can be powerful, especially since said boy actually does a minority of the work required to save her; the focus is on the female characters so it's her girl friends who do most of it. I still ended up scrapping that side plot anyway, and do you know why? Because regardless of who saved her, I still didn't want my female protagonist to be put in distress at all due to the unfortunate implications! Needing help in a fight? Sure. But outright being captured or kidnapped? Nah fam.

I was honestly thinking about that when the first episode came out. Like, they could’ve just had Marinette NOT SHOW UP in time so the guys take care of things, which at least gives more of a message that Paris wouldn’t go to hell just because Ladybug is a little late or something.

And yeah, the “boys squad episode so gotta toss the girl out” is... sigh.

Appreciate the comment, but I find it hard to ship other Marinette ships outside of Lukanette. Ivanette is a very loose exception and it’s not like I ship it hard or anything.

I think so. The whole special comes off as trying to reassure love square shippers because of how hard it goes for him. I cut out Marinette’s crushing and it cuts like 18% from the episode, meaning it’s even worse than Season 3 (15%).

I especially miss reactions from and interactions with Juleka. She is Luka’s sister, Marinette’s friend, and IIRC someone aware of if not even a bit player in the great shipping game. She is in a prime position to step up and bring progress on all fronts: She can talk with Luka. She can either give Marinette helpful pointers or go “All in or nothing”, i.e. trying to make Marinette get her Adrien-feelings in order as she does not want her brother to get less than Marinette’s full heart. Similarly, she can counteract “friendly acts” and stop humiliating situations from escalating, or she herself can escalate them in the “All or Nothing”-scenario. Yet she remains basically a background character who gets little attention from the camera and almost no “non-focus identity”

As for Kagami, I may be too biased. *Any* positive Kagami/Marinette relationship is to me what Lukanette is to you. So naturally I have lots of opinions when it comes to her role ;) But can I just say that Adrien/Kagami is the weirdest ship for me? They have a few cute scenes and I think if they’d spend a lot more time together, they’d do each other good but I don’t know how they work. “No Hesitation” Kagami would lob Adrien’s head straight off with all his…everything. If we are meant to take Adrien’s love for LB seriously (and I guess we have to because how in the name of sanity is any form of the stated endgame gonna work otherwise???), how does Kagami fit into that picture as a girl who can hardly express emotions while Adrien is the definition of a guy who can not stop flirting or goes for all kinds of romantic gestures? Sometimes it feels more like a “social fit” and “Mommy/Daddy approves” kind of deal which is quite the shame! Normally I like these kind of relationships in fictions but they need a solid underlining or good development. One they haven’t and one the series has not been giving to anyone so far.

Yeah, the whole thing with the love square versus side ships ends up feeling extremely forced. Keeping Luka away and forcing Adrien into Lukanette episode are the biggest giveaways, basically a big fat sign that says, “We know Marinette would forget that Adrien exists if she hung around Luka for more than five minutes.”

AND YEAH, KAGAMI WOULDN’T PUT UP WITH ADRIEN’S GARBAGE. I liked Adrimi but it’s definitely more flawed than Lukanette.

But I have no sympathy for bully characters, so I didn’t want Chloe redeemed. Maybe I’m still bitter about my own bullying experience, but I just wasn’t here for Marinette being forced to forgive Chloe, which is basically what they did until they backpedaled.

Watching S1 and S3 episodes back to back, it feels like reading salt fics at times, especially in regards to the L². Like, Marinette was happy about weird plans, she both needed and wanted the final push, and most of the time there was at least something coming out of it. Nowadays it just makes her sad, Alya and the girls act *against* her, and we get shipping for shipping's sake.

That’s a good point. The shift from Seasons 1 to 2 to 3 is rather noticeable.

The show treats the teenage girls of this show as if they're stupid, naive, emotional, clumsy, and need a boy to tell them what opinions to have. Marinette is always treated like the show's punching bag and blamed for everything that goes wrong because she's "emotional" or "obsessed with Adrien", Chloe could've been redeemed but the writers would rather keep her a brain-dead Alpha Bitch Valley Girl(even though Gabriel and Felix, the latter of whom is a teenage boy introduced in one episode, get to be treated as redeemable, despite the things they do being far, far worse), and Lila is a conniving, self-absorbed fox.

And even though Kagami seems better, she's still roped into the "girls catfight over an oblivious guy" cliche and so far, all of her akumatizations have been because of Adrien. Whenever Marinette tries to move on from Adrien the other characters tell her what's good for her and steer her in the "right" direction because she apparently can't think for herself, and the writers LOVE to use the girl squad to tell us who Marinette should be with, because they apparently know better than she does.

Plus the show loves to treat all the girls as the same, making them all either fight over Adrien or be obsessed with shipping, as if teenage girls are all one assimilating, homogenized group(also when they treat Marinette as if she's "just as bad as Chloe", rinse and repeat for the other ladies.). Honestly, the show feels like it was written by those types of people who think "teenage girls are the worst" so they make them all mood-swingy, obsessive, showoffs, emotional, and downright clingy.

Plus the way Thomas Astruc talks about the female characters on Twitter is even worse, and only serves to make this more evident: he claims Marinette "has poor control over her emotions"(all the while calling Adrien "perfect"), that Chloe was racist in Kung Food "because she's stupid"(so rather than having that scene serve as a lesson on respecting other's cultures, he just did it to pick on Chloe and make her look "stupid"), that she's incapable of being redeemed, that Lila's unlikable but Gabriel and Felix aren't(even though he claimed Felix was a terrible character and a "cliche", that's not what the show says my guy), and other such nonsense.

Other Twitter users have also called out Miraculous Ladybug and its stereotypical treatment of teenage girls. The only shows I've ever seen do this worse are those pretentious "darker" Magical Girl "deconstructions" aimed at grown men such as Madoka Magica and Yuki Yuna, as well as most shonen/seinen shows such as Naruto and Death Note, which says a lot. Honestly, whenever I feel like watching a show with empowering and respectful depictions of teenage girls that treats them as bright and intelligent and actually unique from one another, I just watch Equestria Girls, Liv and Maddie, LoliRock, ANT Farm, Moesha, PreCure, or Sailor Moon. Because the way the show acts towards them is deplorable, absolutely deplorable.

Yes to all of the above. Almost all of the girls are involved in love affairs in some way, the two teenage girls are irredeemable while Felix got a sympathetic backstory right away (Chloe took forever to get hers which is a failure), and Marinette is flawed because she’s “too emotional” (a misogynistic stereotype).

I'm glad someone else saw that video! And ugh, Marinette learning to love Chat Noir? Really? I don't remember that line but I also don't want to go back and revisit it to make sure so I'll take your word for it. Ew. That was actually one of the things I hated about the Glaciator scene. Chat was supposedly comforting Marinette by taking her to the rooftop where he planned Ladybug's date, and yet only Marinette finds out about Chat's crush on Ladybug and comforts him on that(while rethinking her feelings), while all Chat knows is that Marinette's heart was also broken. He never asks who it is, or tries to help her get over her crush even if he doesn't know it's coincidentally him.

I know it's because of the "love square" but it's unfair that only Chat's love problems are directly addressed. Come to think of it, the reason Chat took Marinette to the rooftop...I know he was doing it in-universe to help her instead of intruding on her personal feelings(which might have also been why he didn't ask her who her crush was, he was probably thinking along the lines of "we don't have to talk about it right now, we can just have fun!"), but meta-wise, since we know she's Ladybug, the writers were probably trying to tell her "See? This is what you could've been doing, but you missed it. Shame on you!" That's a huge issue I have with the show: characters will do things in-universe to help Marinette, but the show has a different motive in mind. Compare to how Tikki gave actual advice to Marinette in Puppeteer 2, but the writers intended that for the statue scene so they could embarrass her in front of Adrien and the thousands of eyes watching the show(except we're not laughing.). Even if characters do support her, the writer is using them as props for her ritualized humiliation. And yet Luka is the problem somehow.

If Marinette needs to learn how to love Chat Noir, then it should at least be balanced out by Adrien learning to Marinette. I'm sick of this double standard that "girls need to learn to accept boys who like them but guys can do what they want". Another thing she said was that "Marinette needs to learn to define herself outside of who she's crushing on." NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. You see, unlike Adrien, Marinette HAS a life outside of who she's crushing on: she has school, she has Kitty Section, she has her "girl squad", she has her parents, she has her outside family, she babysits Alya's and Nino's siblings, and she has OH YEAH HER FASHION DESIGNING! I didn't even count being a superhero since Adrien does that, too. She has so many things to do outside of Adrien, and yet the fact that she makes gifts for Adrien or dreams about Adrien or wants to have kids with Adrien somehow makes her nothing but an "Adrien fangirl"?

First of all, she's the bloody protagonist?! That's such a "Real Women Don't Wear Dresses" argument, that she can't have her own life AND be in love at the same time! And somehow her crushing on Luka also means her life revolves around him, too! But Adrien's life doesn't revolve around Ladybug even though he doesn't really have anything going for him in his ordinary life? Outside of being rich, hot, white, and male, that is? What are his interests and hobbies, besides what Gabriel lets him do to pass the time? He doesn't even like modeling! And the Agreste plot is more about Gabriel, Emilie, and Nathalie than it is about him.

And what about his friendship with Nino? He didn't even care that Nino was getting strung along by Lila with the others! What about his friendship with Chloe that also waxes and wanes? Granted, Chloe's not a GOOD person, which that lady acknowledged, but she at least tried to change and has more development than him, the writers just won't let her change. I hate when people come for Marinette for doing literally anything when the show won't let her have agency and progress. It's so unfair of her and I wish they could see that. These double standards are driving me insane and they're sexist(maybe even a little bit racist, too), and it hurts even more when a woman's doing those things.

I FEEL THE “GLACIATOR” THING SO BAD. It hurts even worse when you realize that “Frozer” has to take place after “Glaciator,” so Chat Noir heard that Marinette has love problems and then ignored it to ask her for advice about his own love problems later on. The total lack of insensitivity???

Also, the idea that Marinette’s life would revolve around her crush on Luka is stupid. It’s the exact opposite, in fact.

Meanwhile, Adrien has so little going for him and the “interesting” parts of him involve who he’s connected to or what his father has forced him into.
