i don't think i've ever mentioned anything about this tbh, and while i don't think joshua would've ever imprinted on ari or even found her had lilly still been alive (because if his powers did stop working he would've immediately went to a doctor because of lilly so he wouldn't have shown up at the same time that ari was brought in, and if lilly didn't die i don't think ari would've been fated to be with him. honestly i think if they had found ari by some chance, lilly and josh would probably treat her more like a little sister or something), i do think this idea is pretty cute so i wanted to write it even though i don't think this would be canon. it's just too cute to pass up hehe

All Lilly wanted to do was get the dishes done in a timely manner, which was why she had Chan on drying duty while she scrubbed at them. But of course, Joshua had to come up and wrap his arms around her waist, kissing her neck softly before whispering, "You need to go wrangle your mate."

She let out a sigh and put the sponge down by the faucet, looking straight ahead with annoyance on her features, "Why is she only our mate when it's convenient for you? Otherwise, she's only mine?"

"I think you answered your own question," he chuckled.

In the beginning, after Lilly and Soonyoung found her while following Eunjin one night when she was in a trance, Joshua didn't want Arinya being anyone's mate. He didn't want another mate and he was perfectly fine with sending her back wherever she came from despite his instincts wanting otherwise. But from the get go, Lilly wanted her to stay. Even if feeling another pull was a little confusing, she was willing to figure it out.

It was thanks to Lilly that Joshua even warmed up to the young werecoyote -- probably because it warmed his heart so much seeing the pair do almost everything together. Lilly was more than willing to teach Ari everything since she was so curious and naïve. She was also more willing to keep up with the younger girl's energy even if she got tired.

Even now, after Joshua finally accepted her, he would give up after a bit and hand her off to Lilly when Ari was too energetic or too curious.

"Is she chasing squirrels again?" Chan laughed.

Josh rolled his eyes, "How'd you know?"

Lilly let out another sigh and dried her hands off with a dish towel before turning around, her mate's arms sliding away from her, "You're annoying sometimes, Hong."

"No, that's kind of my only setting. You know that."

The two boys followed her out to the backyard just in time to hear a loud yelp, followed by a series of whimpers. Eyes scanned the area until the saw Arinya coming from the forest. Joshua took off running immediately getting to her right as she shifted back to her human form. Chan kept pace with Lilly as she followed right behind him.

"What happened?" Joshua demanded, cupping her face in his hands, her blue eyes filled with tears. He searched her body frantically for any signs of injury, hands moving over her body to turn her arms this way and that and to bend all of her joints to make sure nothing was broken as Chan shrugged off his button-up to hand off to Ari.

Instead, Lilly took it and went around behind her, helping her into it so she wasn't just naked in the backyard, because she knew the rest of the pack would probably come to see what she had whimpered at. But that was when she noticed welts on her back.

"Hey Shua?" she asked.

Ari cupped her left cheek and whined, "My face hurts."

Josh gently moved her hand out of the way to find a bee stinger in her cheek, and it was starting to swell. His hand was covering it before so he didn't notice it.

"There's a ton more back here," Lilly sighed, meeting Joshua's eyes over Ari's shoulder.

Josh held her upper arms and turned her around. Seeing her back covered in bee stings, he closed his eyes and sighed, "What did you do?"

"What happened?" Seungcheol called out, coming around from the front yard.

Arinya stayed facing Lilly as the older girl buttoned up her shirt.

"I followed a squirrel up a tree and there was a bees nest," Ari explained through sniffles. "I didn't mean to touch it, I promise!"

"We're not mad," Lilly promised.

Joshua, however, was chuckling at her, "Have we learned to stop chasing squirrels?"

Lilly frowned up at him, "Leave her alone."

"How bad is it?" Seungcheol wondered as more of the pack started coming from around the front or inside the house.

"She's got at least 20, probably," Josh shrugged.

"Are you allergic to bees?" Chan wondered.

Ari turned back toward him and shook her head before she looked up at Josh again, "My tongue feels funny..."

He noted she was talking with a little bit of a lisp and couldn't help but laugh, "Let me see your tongue, goofball."

She stuck out her tongue, and he immediately noticed the sting near the tip of it. He let out a loud laugh and asked, "What, did you eat one?"

"I don't know!" she whimpered, obviously distressed over her bee attack.

"Joshua, heal your mate!" Lilly scolded him. "Stop making fun of her!"

"Come on, kid," he sighed, obviously still amused. "Let's go to our room to heal you up."

Once upstairs, Joshua removed Chan's shirt from her body and Lilly started carefully pulling out the stingers that were still there, softly apologizing whenever Ari flinched or whimpered.

"Alright, open up. Let's fix your lisp," he chuckled.

She opened her mouth and Josh pulled the tiny stinger out. Instinctively, her eyes squeezed shut at the pain and she recoiled away from him, but he softly gripped her chin to keep her still before plucking the one out of her cheek. Despite her head turning away, he kissed the spot quickly and chuckled out a, "Sorry!"

"You should probably do her back first," Lilly told him.

"Am I supposed to heal her tongue?" he asked as Ari went to lay face-down on the bed. "How do I do that? I've never healed a tongue before."

"Just do her back, please," she sighed in annoyance. "I'm sure she's still in pain."

Josh just made a face at her before going onto the bed and kneeling beside the younger girl. He moved his hands across her back, healing the welts and removing the venom from her body to stop the pain and the swelling. After that, he had her sit up to do her cheek, and then he held her jaw and asked her to stick out her tongue again. All the while, Lilly sat behind her and kept her arms around Ari's waist.

Once Josh was done and Ari was back to normal, she slumped back into Lilly's body, "I think I need a nap."

"I think so, too," Lilly agreed, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Wanna lay down?"

"Yeah," she mumbled.

Joshua moved to get in bed with the two girls but Lilly quickly stopped him, "No way."

"What do you mean?" he protested.

"She's my mate, remember?" Lilly reminded him with a shit-eating smirk.

Joshua rolled his eyes and pounced on top of both of them, taking Lilly by surprise but getting Ari to giggle very loudly.

"Mates heal better when they're together. It's a medical fact," he stated. "So you can't fight me unless you want Ari to be uncomfortable for longer."

Ari's head tilted to one side, "But I thought you already heal--"

"See, she's delusional," he nodded. "She really needs both of us."

Lilly snorted and rolled her eyes, "Whatever, Hong."

"Yeah, whatever, Hong," Ari tried to imitate Lilly, but it just made both of them laugh.

"Y'know what, I think I'm gonna give both of you up," he decided.

"I think you're stuck with us," Lilly stated with a smile and a sure nod.

"Yup!" Arinya grinned.

Seeing his two mates smiling up at him, Lilly's head resting against Ari's, he couldn't help but just feel a wave of happiness and love. So he smiled even though he was rolling his eyes.

"If you're gonna twist my arm about it," he conceded.

ok so this isn't really selfshippy but can i just say that i love xingqiu with my whole heart /p?? he is so "sworn sibling"/"twin" coded for me. he was one of my first four stars and was part of the team that i refused to switch out/change all the way til i reached inazuma (where i was violently humbled by the raiden shogun and got kokomi to carry me through the whole thing lol). he's one of the ogs of my acc (alongside kaeya, beidou, and aether) so he is very precious to me

i gave him his own room in my teapot (and one of his fave sets too!) and sometimes, when i have nothing to do or i want to read smth on my phone but dont want to close the game, i pull him up on the character screen and just chill there with him while he does his idles and i do whatever. i like to imagine that whenever i do end up reading a little longer than i thought, hes peeking over my shoulder and trying to see if whatever im reading is something he can use to tease me or something we can read together while he sits beside me.

i dont have any siblings close to me in age, but if in some universe i did get lucky enough to get a twin, id want them to be like xingqiu. i love that guhua geek. i will put carrots in his bowl during family dinners so i can barter with him (ill take his carrots but he also has to give me either more slices of meat or take my fish fillets). i will go with him to qingce village so i can dig through his warehouse of novels for something to read, and write all of my thoughts and comments on a separate sheet of paper for him to read too, when he wants. i think hed make fun of the annotations i put into my own personal collection of books, because theyre almost never actually anything of substance and read more like wattpad comments lmao but i think hed like reading them bc it gives him a better insight to how i think and why i act the way i act (and i think hed also start to look forward to finishing chapters of the books ive annotated bc most of the time, theres usually a separate sheet of paper that ive stuck into it detailing my more coherent thoughts and analyses of things i found interesting in the chapter). id love to go adventuring with him and chongyun (and xiangling too, when shes able to leave their restaurant!) and get into heated, but playful arguments about whether or not his actions still fall under chivalry or "unwanted meddling" haha

V Watches MagiReco - Episode 7 Review

*Spoilers for Magia Record Anime Episode 7*

OH MY GOSH THAT WAS SO GOOD?!?!? I think this episode actually tops Episode 5 as my favourite of all of the MagiReco anime episodes so far!!!

Alright, buckle up, because I lave A LOT to say (and fangirl) about this week.

I really think the anime has done an even better job than the game at portraying Felicia’s character. The way they show you bits of her past, her struggles, her trauma... that opening scene already had me close to tears. They didn’t just tell us why she’s like this, they showed it to us, and in a way that actually sent chills down my spine. You can feel the trauma and absolute hatred in her eyes, and it’s like you get a first-hand look into how she changed from the sweet, cow-loving child to the aggressive Witch slayer she is today. Felicia really is just a child through and through, and she’s already lost her parents, her home, and everything she’s ever known. In my opinion, she’s a lot more sympathetic in the anime, and they do an amazing job at balancing out her crazy and brash side with the cuteness and innocence at her core. Her seiyuu’s voice-acting is absolutely superb, too.

The Amane Sisters are portrayed amazingly, too! The way they speak really makes them feel like “a pair” rather than just two characters talking about the same thing. I’ve especially been waiting to see their “Neee~” in animated form, and it’s just as creepishly cute as I hoped (hence I’m using that image as the screenshot for this week’s review hehe). Their poses really emphasise them as two parts of a whole, and like mirror images of one another. Loved it.

And Kyoko is totally in-character. The stuff she says, her voice, her actions... Everything about her in this episode just screamed Kyoko, which I’m sure PMMM fans would really appreciate ^^ I almost squealed from warm and fuzzies when she offered the Pocky to Felicia (ᗒᗨᗕ) Speaking of which, I really like the dynamic between these two. They’re both brash and aggressive “wanderers” who have experienced some trauma that caused the loss of their family, and are independent in braving the world and surviving by themselves. Yet when you put them together, you really get a sense of Kyoko being a lot more mature than Felicia and also being a magical girl with a lot more experience. Not necessarily because Kyoko is more powerful, but her logic, way of thinking, and the way she responds to the things going on around her really emphasise how much of a “veteran" she is, both as a magical girl and as a young girl with a similar “tragic backstory.” I feel like Felicia is a younger and more naive version of the more “jaded” Kyoko; maybe Felicia will become more like Kyoko after she grows up more and matures with more magical girl experience hehe.

This episode really was a feast for the eyes: Rumours, Witches, Doppels... basically the whole package xD There was just so much going on, so many strange things happening, and so much action that I was not bored for even a single second. The Owl Water Rumour is even creepier in this episode, too. And the fact that the Amane Sisters literally summoned a labyrinth by pulling out a green cube that spells out a certain’s person’s name?

I AM BEYOND EXCITED FOR HER TO SHOW UP.

Iroha and Felicia’s little “moment” during the battle was also such a nice change. (Or was it in the game as well? I honestly don’t remember ^^;;) I think this episode did an amazing job at portraying the strong bond that these two have already formed despite having only met. Felicia is able to immediately throw away her water and call out Iroha’s name when she sees her in danger, and the two of them cooperate in a way that really shows that they’re willing to trust in and fight for each other, and to me, their successful Connect really goes to encapsulate that bond! (And again, Felicia’s voice-acting during her rampage was STELLAR.)

I might have liked it if there was a little bit more interaction between Kyoko and the MagiReco girls, but I guess there was just so much going on that it wouldn’t have worked lol. But in any case, Kyoko’s action scenes were amazing, too, and you could really see how much of a capable fighter she is.

I wasn’t expecting Iroha to summon her Doppel again during her fight against the Rumour, and again, I really can’t remember if she did that in the game as well (it’s been way too long xD). But I really loved how this second summoning is starting to alert her to what exactly is happening, and we can see that with more experience, Iroha is able to harness and control this power a bit better, and even manage to remain conscious after. The way “Doppel Iroha” (with the creepy face) comes out and embraces her from behind is actually pretty terrifying, and Iroha looks quite scary swaying around in her Doppel form, too.

But while Iroha’s Doppel was done amazingly, I will admit that I was a little bit underwhelmed by the Amane Sisters’ Doppels lol. They basically just looked like they were sitting in hourglasses, and I didn’t really get the sense that the Doppel had “come out” from their bodies, and it seemed more like a “prop” they were using? But I think that’s how the Doppel was presented in the game, so I guess it’s still an accurate rendition haha. Maybe because they didn’t have the “Doppel face” and were still functioning/speaking just as usual, so it kind of downplays the shock and “possessed” impression I got from Iroha’s and Kaede’s. It’s still interesting, but in my opinion, definitely not as memorable as the ones we’ve seen so far.

And the real Mifuyu finally makes her proper appearance! When I heard footsteps and saw three figures coming out of the door, I almost thought they were going to introduce the Magius early lol. I really love Mifuyu’s voice, and it works even more perfectly when we see her in motion. Honestly I expected Yachiyo to have more of an emotional reaction, considering how much she was affected at the Shrine xD But Tsuruno’s reactions?

PRECIOUS. I LOVE TSURUNO SO MUCH. I can’t wait to see more interactions between Mifuyu and the rest of the main cast. I’m really liking her portrayal and the mysterious aura surrounding her and the Magius (and Feathers).

The last scene basically solidified my newfound love for Iroha and Felicia’s friendship. Felicia’s breakdown managed to bring me to tears, and the way she responds to Iroha’s kindness and the meal in the end is just... SO, SO, SO PRECIOUS. 

A BABY. I WILL PROTECT HER AT ALL COSTS.

And the post-credits scene just hit me with all the uwus. It now truly feels like Team Mikazuki is starting to form, and seeing Yachiyo smiling like that and warming up to everyone really was just the cherry on top of that super adorable ending. (Her nagging motherly side is really coming out too, now that Felicia’s officially moved in xD)

We’ve also gotten a tiny tease at what’s coming up next, so while I expect next week’s episode to be another slow one, I am still beyond excited for the final member to finally be introduced!!!

Ok here’s the first part of my Naruto x Mystic Messenger (because i am back in Naruto hell- mostly because of Kakashi tho :3) I know that some characters are hard to identify (poor Jaehee and V... I am really sorry but my drawing skills are really bad and rusty) under the cut is a small list of the characters that i thought would fit for our faves :3

I’ll start with the easy ones: 

Jumin as Kakashi (because he’s smart, strong and can stay soo meowing calm in fights or difficult situations, always being the one who calms his friends. Even though they  both had a sad backstory and lost their best friends they will always stay positive and somehow cheerful..... which makes their smiles even more precious to me (they’re angels and my hubbies!)) its not because i wanted to see a masked Jumin noooo....

Saeyoung as Naruto (oh boi! they are both really precious to me,... i love Naruto because he always fights for his way and i can really see Saeyoung in him fighting for his believes, friends and family. Their ability to make friends in a short time and their dorky behaviour really made my decision a lot easier. I also picked him because of the bond he shares with Sasuke, the wish to protect him from all harm and make him come home is sooo heartbreaking to me...) 

Jaehee as Sakura (she knows her skills perfectly, is super responsible and reliable in all kinds of stuff, got a problem? She is always there to help you. She also has a very strong mind and can be so confident which i really like!)

Saeran as Sasuke (i just wanna see a mint blue sharingan... hehe... no thats not the only reason, i kinda see them both as edgelords... they’re both sassy, which is cool and I really love the bond between him and Naruto! Which kinda reminds me of the Choi twins, because Saeyoung always wanted to rescue his younger brother and never wanted to harm him or get him harmed by some other bad people)

Yoosung as Kiba (this boy is a puppy and Kiba is a puppy boy! He is smart and witty, but also is a little bit clumsy. He and Naruto share a really cool friendship, which is another point why I chose Yoosung as Kiba... because they both make each other smile and they definetly pulled pranks together in their childhood :3)

Zen as Maito Guy (Need a god in dynamic and dramatic entries? Well there he is! He is mighty, his name is mighty and almost godlike... they are both strong,  and rely on that strength when a fight is coming up. The Rivalry with Kakashi is sooo accurate too... I mean, he always wants to fight him in every possible way (they even compared their..... acorns...)  Despite that he really is a good friend for everyone in need!)

V as Sai (i am sorry it’s so cliche, but I mostly saw the art thing... but They both get misunderstood often and may be are having a hard time to trust people because of that, but he will always be there to help you out. They are both missing a very special person, which has a great impact on their actions.)

hibiki and kimi,,,,,,blease,,,they sound so cool

!! these two r some of my favorites!!! thank u for giving me a chance to gush!!!

ill start with kimi bc i was just working on sum stuff for her for my plotting hehe...

some basic stuff about kimi: her full name is kimi matsura, she is the ultimate candy maker, she is black and japanese, she is a lesbian, her whole aesthetic is cotton candy (her hair is dyed half pink/half blue, she wears blue and pink contacts, her wardrobe is largely pastels, and it’s one of her favorite treats to boot!), and she has the largest amount of friends out of any of the cast, only not being friends with three!

she can usually be found in the kitchen, tearing the place apart in search of ingredients and tools to make her favorite confections, because above all else she dislikes being idle and not having her hands busy, so she finds it best to keep busy as much as she can during the killing game. that said, though, she’s not a recluse; she is just more anxious around the larger groups of students (especially when some of the more abrasive personalities begin to clash together), so she’d rather wait for people to come to her.

that said, she is very popular among the students, able to having a pleasant conversation with most everyone, even some of the students less well liked among the group. she always comes armed with a collection of goods whenever she visits a classmate, because she’s a firm believer that the way to the heart is through the stomach, and that philosophy hasn’t failed her yet!

despite her kind, open nature, she is rather anxious, which is a large part of why she likes to keep busy -- if she’s too busy worrying about jumbling up her meringue recipe, there’s not enough room in her head to worry about someone hurting her or one of her friends. there’s no shortage of treats of all sorts because of this, so she does find some reprieve in being able to bring a smile to others peoples face through her hard work!

she would consider herself close to almost all of her classmates (though not without struggle -- she is often anxious that they hate her), but she is especially close to masako, chieko, and hibiki, which leads in perfectly to talking about him!

some basic stuff about hibiki: his full name is hibiki akita, he’s one of the shortest of the cast at 4′10″, they’re a trans guy who uses he/they pronouns, he’s the ultimate demolitionist (he makes things go BOOM), he’s bi, a halloween baby, and their aesthetic is some unholy amalgamation of minecraft creepercore and decoracore. 

hibiki is probably in my top three favorite of my dr ocs, i love him sm!!! they’re a scrappy little bastard, and could maybe be considered similar to kokichi, but once you get into who they are as a character...beyond just being a little shit, no not really? regardless, if you like terrible brat characters, hibiki’s your man.

his quirky little habit is he, ah, explodes things. and he’s very good at it. at any given moment they’re armed to the teeth with various explosives and lighting agents, so there’s never a dull moment when he’s around. it causes a lot of grief for some of the more fainthearted of the bunch (think yuri, who has on multiple occasions chased them with his tazer; hachi, who has been hung off of by them solely for the fact of being over six feet tall more times than can be counted; and chieko, who cannot get a moment’s peace when they’re nearby for various reasons).

 as his talent and penchant for annoying people may suggest, he’s something of a thrill seeker, which makes him the asshole that is pulling pranks in the midst of a killing game. their goal is annoyance, though, and at the max limits flashes of anger; he doesn’t ever want to hurt anybody, or scare anybody very seriously; his pranks and hijinks are harmless, but regardless, he earns the ire of quite a few people.

another very distinct facet of his personality is the fact that he is honest, sometimes to a fault. it’s why they’re very close to masako, someone whose main girl is to search for the truth. half of his motivation for being truthful is that he genuinely doesn’t want to harm or put others in a position to be put into harm, and half is because to him, telling the truth is more entertaining than trying to lie. it’s much more satisfying and fun to him to tell yuri, or chieko, or anyone else that they were the one to set a bomb off in the basement, or put food coloring in the shampoo, or any number of things to their face and watch their reaction than lie about it.

he’s also dating daichi, the ultimate superhero, which lends itself to some fun dynamics as well! there’s much more to him than the sort of surface level stuff i’ve written about here, but he is one of my favorite and more fleshed out characters, so a lot of their development for now needs to remain behind the scenes ^^
