3. A call for help

MASTERLIST

Summary: You decide to take your future into your own hands, sort of.

128 AC. Reader is 18 years old

Too much has happened in the last two years…

King Viserys was dying, he was bed bound, nobody could see him, but the Queen and Otto, and they ruled the Kingdoms nows, they claimed that in their name, but you knew the large amount of milk of the poppy they were supplying the k=King, you knew he couldn’t take decisions any longer.

Helaena now had three children with her brother-husband Aegon, they were adorable children.

Aemond stalked you silently, in his face every time he looked at you was wonder and hope, but you gave no signs back to him that you were replying to his feelings

You were secretly finding your own love match, but to no avail.

Every suitable man that you like even a little bit, was scared off quite easily, especially after one or two times that would strike conversation with you, you started to think you were unlikeable. Unknown to you at the time, it was Aemond who threatened to feed them to Vhagar if they ever even looked at you again.

You started to believe nobody could ever want you.

You knew the real history, that your parents never married, that would make you a bastard, legitimized, but a bastard nonetheless. When you were younger, the King would hear none of it, referring to you as his very Targaryen niece, you had the coloring of the house of old Valyria to prove it.

But perhaps the word and legitimization of a king wasn’t enough to the Lords of the Kingdoms, perhaps they found you hideous and unbearable. Even with the sizable dowry that came from taxes of the lands your father owned, and you now did.

Fear of being eaten by a dragon certainly surpassed every man’s desire for the young beautiful princess.

Not even freaking Dorne would take you

“We don’t dance with dragons”, had said the prince when you came close to strike a conversation with him.

And that is how your eighteen name day found you, unmarried and with no prospects, it was a matter of days before you were betrothed to Aemond, you knew it, everybody knew it.

And you were growing desperate.

Jacaerys was betrothed to Baela, not that he was a better choice for you than Aemond himself anyways

But perhaps he was… but he was taken.

They prepared a small feast in your honor that day, with your favorite meals, and a selective group of people of court in the private dining room, and you were grateful, but not very happy about it.

It had been a quiet day, you took a ride on Vhaelar, went to the God’s Eye for a small picnic, you even took Joanna with you.

It had been a quiet day, and as you looked at your plate in front of you, you look up to find Aemond’s gaze in you, he sported a sly little smile as he drink his wine casually

It made your skin crawl

After the dinner Steffon wouldn’t leave your side, and you were thankful for it

“There is a late night council meeting”, he told you, and you looked up to him wide eyed. “to discuss your future”, you gasped

“Can you tell me what they speak off?”

“I won’t be in it, but you might…”, he said, he guided you to the council room, you hid around the corner, waiting for everyone to enter, Steffon went to his Lord Commander, entered the room for a few moments, and then he got out again.

As Steffon was leaving the small council room, he looked at you and with a movement of his head, you knew what to do. He pointed to a small door behind a big base, it was hidden to the unknown eye, but you were starting to learn about all the secret passageways around The Red Keep.

So you sneaked in. After a small passageways of stone, you came to a wooden chair, placed by the side of a decorative wall, with a flowery steel design, behind it, you could clearly see and hear the small council meeting

“The matter of the betrothal of the Princess (Y/N)” said Otto, and your ears perked up, “we can’t postpone it much longer, she just turned eight and ten, it’s time”

“We need to arrange a good match for her” admitted the master of laws

“She received a ton of proposals when she became of age two years ago, we replied to none and now, nobody will answer our letters”, muttered Jason Lannister, “her time has passed…”

“The king wanted her to figure out who she wanted to marry”, clarified Alicent

“More like Aemond scared away all of the suitors”, said the Lannister.

“If King Viserys hadn't had more children, he would have named Aegon his heir to the throne instead of Rhaenyra, everybody knows this”, continued Lord Beesbury

“So what?”, asked Otto.

“So what? So plenty! She is his daughter! Many loved Aegon more than they ever loved Rhaenyra and Daemon, they might see her as the true heir”, said Jason

“Viserys has three male heirs!” Fought Otto, “and Rhaenyra, also a woman”, he said dismissively

“It is of no consequence”, said another, “we must betrothed her now”, muttered again the lord of laws, which of whom you never learned the name of

“With who?”

“Send her away from court”, muttered the same one

“What about Aemond?”, you heard Queen Alicent ask, and it froze your blood, “the King had been dragging him along for three years since he asked for her hand, he said he was going to think about it!” She cried

“I know what he said”, answered the hand, “but we cannot marry all of your children amongst one another, Aemond must marry a good lady, a first born woman of a great house, to secure alliances”

“I agree”

“What better ally than a dragon? and the vale?”, asked Jason

“There is… Cregan Stark”, said Lord Beesbury, and that lit up your heart with hope

“The wolf? Why him?”, asked Otto

“He stands alone, a widower, no heirs to Winterfell…”

“The north?”, repeated Otto

“Imagine the strength of this alliance! Bring in the North! No Targaryen has ever married a Stark”, continued the oldest man in the room

Silence again, and for once, you had hope

“No”, sentenced the Queen, “he has never shown interest, not even when she became of age, besides he is a savage, a pagan”, was the Queen’s fanaticism going to be your undoing?, “Aemond on the other hand…”

“What about Jacaerys?”

“He is betrothed to Baela Targaryen, his aunt”

“His aunt, or cousin? or his sister by law? Can’t keep count”, laughed Jason and then they all laughed with him

“We should send word to Stark”, said Lord Beesbury, “he is a good man and it will bring the North into the fold”

“My son and I, we are disappointed”, said the Queen

“Let’s offer her to Stark” sentenced Otto, “if he says no, we will marry her to Aemond before the next moon”

You whimpered, they were going to betrothed you to Aemond, if Cregan said no.

Aemond, your torturer, the person who made sure to make your life a living hell… he…

No way.

You had to take matters into your own hands. You had to make your own proposal, or else

You sneaked away, you needed to get out of the hallways near the council before they ended their meeting. And your mind was clouded with doubts and questions with no answer

Cregan Stark.

You haven't seen him in five long years, what you remember of him, there were all happy memories. He had always been kind to you, he had given you one of your favorite books, taken yours in return by anyways…

But he lived in the far North, the cold North. Once you went to White Harbor with your father, you went by boat, you had never felt more cold in your life. Besides, the lives of the Northerners were so much different than yours, southerners. The north was wild and unruly, some say it was each man for their own. They were rough and loyal, the blood of the first men pumping through their veins.

Would he say yes?

He had married Alysanne, she was from the Riverlands, perhaps… a little bit more South wouldn’t matter to him, right?

You smiled, contented

But a letter seemed too impersonal, only a name written on paper, perhaps he didn’t even remember you. Also, the royal court “suggesting” him who he should marry? again?

Did you even want to go to live up North? to marry Cregan? he should be around thirty right now, way older than you. Your cheeks heated. But he was always so kind and good. And he must have been so lonely, alone up there.

You could have your own family, create it.

You didn’t have more time to think about it, the very next day, that letter would be sent, and it would decide your fate.

But you had a family here, Viserys, your uncle, and Queen Alicent, and Helaena, and your little nephews…

And then you remembered Alicent shaming you for not praying to the Gods, her urgent eyes everytime you would do something or speak your mind, the way she pinches your arms when you would go out of line.

King Viserys who claims to care for you, and he did, but won’t even speak to you, he would defend his grandsons and sons instead of you when you went to him crying, saying that they were bullying you.

And Aemond… Aemond pushing you, making you trip, grabbing your arms so hard they bruised. His mean words and remarks.

The tension with cousin Rhaenyra, the “bastard” words being brought so often. She not even looking at you, and her sons tormenting you as well.

UNcle Daemon, who once on his cups had said that he hated even looking at you.

What will become of you once your uncle is dead? he had promised you you could go back home, but married, and he was so sick it wouldn’t matter what he promised you two years ago. You wouldn’t leave the Red Keep unmarried, that was for certain.

This family was bad for you.

Your father raised you far from it for a reason, you would always ask him why wouldn’t he answer the call of the throne, and he, once, looked you in the eyes and responded.

“Before I didn't care to take risks, because I was alone, and now I’m terrified, I will not go to the most dangerous place”, it was the Red Keep, the most dangerous place. He wanted you to have a life outside of it.

Far from it.

You nodded

This was the right thing to do

You weren’t sure you believed in the seven, but you sure believed in fate, this was fate.

It was decided.

You jumped from your bed, you dressed in your riding gear, the one for winter, in the insides it had fur, and then, you left your chambers, so excited, adrenaline pumping through your veins.

But it was raining, thunder could be heard in the distance.

Did you care? i certainly made you doubt, you wouldn't be able to see anything in the air, but the only thing you had to do was flight north, so… you still asked Steffon to accompanied you

“Are you sure this is what you want?”, he asked, concerned washing over his features

“I need to go North and charm the Lord of Winterfell”, you said with an apologetic smile, “I need to take my future in my own hands”

“I respect you for it”, he said with a shy smile, “But I’m going to miss you”, he said with a gentle smile

“I’ll come visit”, you said with a shy smile

“promise me you’ll tell me everything, I can go and fetch you”, he said, and you smiled

“I promise, I hope it works”, the carriage stopped in front of the pit and you couldn’t jump out fast enough.

Vhaelar was waiting for you, no doubt she had felt you as you neared it, and followed you as you guided her through the huge hallways of the pit to the outside.

She took flight with you on her back

Vhaelar fly easily through the storm clouds, she was a big dragon, took after her mother Vhagar. But the rain bothered you, soon you were drenched, grabbing at the reins tightly, you luckily were wearing gloves, but there was nothing you could do regarding your sight, clouded by the rain.

The thunder started to hit near you, you had flown through storms before, you liked it, but this time, something was wrong.

You felt a deep roar, it almost got confused by the storm, but you knew better, you looked up and you saw the biggest dragon in the whole freaking word

Vhagar

“Where are you going little cousin?”, you heard Aemond ask, because of the atmosphere of the storm you could hear him clearly

“Leave me alone!”, you cried, but Vhagar descented teasingly over you, Vhaelar did the same, soon you could see the earth underneath you, your dragon, was faster, but with two flaps of her wings VHagar disappeared amongst the clouds.

You whimpered in fear and your dragon roared angrily, feeling your distress, wanting to eliminate the cause of it

“Lykiri Vhaelar”, you tried, but you were trying to calm yourself. It wasn’t working.

“iksā ñuhon!”, you heard him scream, [YOU ARE MINE], and you trembled in fear.

As you looked up Vhagar huge claws were closing in on you, grabbed Vhaelar swiftly by the neck, but then released her.

Vhaelar roared, but this time, it was one of submission

“No! Vhaelar!”, you complained, and she flew alongside her mother. You could see Aemond now, he released the reins and offered his hand towards you. And you whimpered

“No”, you whined, grabbing the reins tightly, Vhaelar was turning to fly back to King’s Landing, and you cried silently for your defeat.

Vhaelar purred under you, wanting to console you and the she turned towards Vhagar, pushing her away, she twisted and but one of her wings in warning, Vhagar roared in pain, and Vhaelar took the opportunity to fly higher to the clouds, to hide amongst them, and as she was faster, you lost her.

You lost the Queen of dragons and Aemond riding her.

If anything this told you that you were doing the right thing. You were, you sighed relieved when the clouds cleared out, beyond the storm, and the night was beautiful. You smiled widely, this was it, you were flying towards your freedom.

You flew for the entire night, at one point, Vhaelar flew so close to the ground the tallest of trees could tickle her belly, but you couldn’t get lost, so you just followed the Kings road.

Your heart beat so fast you could hear it in your ears, but your smile as the ground tainted with white couldn’t be brighter, even if you were so cold your teeth clicked.

You passed the Neck and were in Northern territory, you passed over Moat Cailin and up the road you went. And what you saw marveled you, deep and dark green forests, snow in the ground, but little, since it was still early autumn. Your breath became cloudy, but you loved it.

You passed over a huge town, that you thought was Winterfell, but it wasn’t, it was Castle Cerwyn, you recognize the sigil. Many people came out of their houses that arly morning to watch you fly past, and you hope you didn’t scare them. You wouldn’t want them to think they were in danger or something.

Just a little more, you thought so happily, just a little more.

Two hours later, there it was.

You knew it was winterfell, the huge castle over the hill, with two outside walls, it made you think it had been there for thousands of years, and it was going to be there for thousands to come, even after you and everyone you ever met.

Their high circular towers with red tiles, and black stone. You could see their goodswood, the unmistakable red leaves of the heart tree.

It was beautiful

And under it’s watchful eye, the town you would think was Winter’s town

And again, people came out of their houses and you heard shouting. You worry, you commanded Vhaelar to fly down.

She landed heavily on the ground, making it shake under her incredible weight.

She cooed as you yourself landed on the ground

“Kesan sagon sȳz”, [I will be fine], you assured her, and she purred, making herself comfortable in the same spot as she curled on herself and lowered her head to take a nap, her demeanor was one of a large puppy, so people won’t be scared, you hoped.

You walked towards the big gates of the outer wall, swallowing hard.

This was insane

Had you actually flied across the continent to ask a man you haven't seen in five years to marry?

How insane was that?

You started to regret your decision when suddenly, the gates opened for you. You swallowed hard, fixing your riding gear, who had been wet, and then dried by the air, and it was a mess, oh no, how were you going to offer your own hand in marriage looking like that? Oh no, what have you done?

“My Lady, your name”, asked one of the guards that came to greet you, you smiled softly

“Princess (Y/N) of House Targaryen”, you said and he paled

“I’m very sorry your grace”, he said hastily

“You don’t need to be…”, he guided you inside the walls, and to the main courtyard where you could see the entire inside of the castle.

“PRINCESS (Y/N) OF HOUSE TARGARYEN!”, he shouted for the whole courtyard to hear, and you whimpered, surprised such a sweet looking man could be heard so loudly.

People started coming out of the castle to greet you, everyone saluted you by bowing their heads, and you smiled, nodded, and returned their greetings. But you look up, at the door leading to the main castle, and from it, emerged none other, than Cregan Stark himself

You recognize him anywhere, tall and wide, his haircut, his dark locks shaved on the side, the black fur cape dressing him. He went down the stairs to meet you, and you smiled at him

“My lord Stark”

“Welcome to Winterfell your grace”, he said, that smile he used to draw for you missing, his icy gray eyes had turned cold

“Thank you My lord Cregan”, you greeted back, as hopeful as you could

“Princess?”, he asked, walking towards you, “what are you doing here?”, he asked, a eyebrow raised

“I came with a proposal from the King”, you said, ignoring the cold that was clinging into your body, and drew a smile

“A proposal?”, he asked, curiosity perking his features

“A marriage”, you concluded

“A marriage proposal”, he did not seem intrigued, he seemed bothered by it, behind him there were some people that you guessed, were his master of arms, and the maester, and other lords. He seemed uninterested and cold, so you had to drop it, he did not seem amused by your shy demeanor like he would in the past.

“Between you, my lord, and me”, that was it, it was out, you stood straight and as tall, subconsciously showing your neck and puffing your chest a little, as well as smiling

“You?”, he asked, genuinely surprised

“I’ve come to offer my own hand in marriage”, you said firmly, but with a hopeful smile.

There was silence in the courtyard

“Yes!”, a young woman cheered from the battlements where she had been hearing all of it.

BG3 Characters + their favorite Barbie Movie:

Wyll: Princess and the Pauper. Classic love story. He’s obsessed with it. He sighs and he’s like. The King had it figured out 💕 That being said, he’s also a stan for Three Musketeers. They’re basically the Blade of Frontiers in Barbie form.

Astarion: Contrary to popular belief, his favorite is not Princess and the Pauper. He likes that old 2006 movie, The Barbie Diaries. He’s living for the gossip of it all. He gets way too invested.

Gale: Princess Charm School. Let’s be so for real. He’s so invested in the ways of Princess school, he wants to study those classes too. Let Gale be a princess.

Karlach: Princess and the Popstar. She is grooving to those songs. She doesn’t care that it’s a remake of the OG, she’s here for the music and the music alone.

Halsin: He says he would never bother with them, but I think he’s absolutely obsessed with Swan Lake. They all turn into animals and he’s like, omg that’s just like me.

Shadowheart: Magic of Pegasus, not a singular doubt in my mind. She’s far too invested in flying horses, magic, and ice skating. She’s so excited whenever they’re flying, or when Annika wears that purple dress.

Lae’zel: Would never be caught dead watching a Barbie movie. That being said, don’t be surprised if you see her humming the soundtrack to 12 Dancing Princesses, for no reason in particular. She definitely watched it until she memorized the script.

Minthara: Mariposa. She’s like Lae’zel and wouldn’t want to admit it, but the Butterfly Fairies absolutely fascinate her.

Minsc: A Perfect Christmas, or maybe Solstice in the case of Baldur’s Gate holidays. Boo likes it too, so double the reason.

Jaheira: Thumbelina. Not even a question. It’s the perfect Druid film.

Isobel: Rapunzel, she grew up on this classic and I don’t think it ever left her.

Aylin: She… doesn’t have the best knowledge of the Barbie films until Isobel shows her. Because of this, she genuinely thinks Pink Shoes is the best one. Bless her soul.

Orin: Barbie Fairytopia: Mermadia. Next question.

Gortash: You think he watches Barbie movies? You think Gortash watches Barbie movies? You’re correct. A Fashion Fairytale is mandated viewing for the like, five days he’s a Duke.

Kethric: Isobel would watch Rapunzel pretty much nonstop, so by default this is his favorite.

Mizora: Barbie in a Christmas Carol, except she genuinely doesn’t think that Eden did anything wrong at first.

Cazador: He doesn’t even deserve a ranking. This mf probably tried to watch the Mermaid Tale one and got mad bc there weren’t any vampires. He doesn’t know good cinema.

Zevlor: Barbie in the Nutcracker because it’s a classic, and I think he’s definitely go for that sort of film. The tiefling children at the grove probably have that one on a lot.

Rolan: Fairytopia, specifically Magic of the Rainbow. For no other reason except that it had magic in the title, and so he watched it for that reason alone, before becoming obsessed.

Dammon: You cant tell me this man hasn’t seen EVERY single one. They’re everything to him. That being said, I think he has a particular liking for The Island Princess.

Maribor recap or long rambling, some pics and trying to make sense in my head:

1. Thank you @chibi-chellist again for reaching out, it meant a lot not to be alone! Rambling about the boys is so much better in person and when it's not one-sided. I enjoyed meeting you and sharing experiences! 💕

2. Kaj pa Ester? is one of the cringiest things I've recently seen, especially dialog wise haha BUT it is also funny and kinda cute. Very teenage-y I guess, with too much lots of kissing and parties for which scenes they used some terrible modern cajke music (like use the good old soul ripping ones that don't mention Elon Musk... teenagers today smh). Anyway, I wouldn't mind it being longer and better developed in the emotional areas which you see they scratched but need deepening to give an actual sense of plot and sense to the movie. Could be due to the fact it was supposed to be a show first tho. However, I couldn't see Bojan's personality, mannerisms or gestures so in that sense I feel he did a great job acting 👏

And THE SCENE. Oh boy. Less sad and more frustrated bojerking. Putting shame aside to admit I would love to have it available on demand, especially for some ragged breathing appreciation...

3. Bought and tried Jan's fav cookies, yaay! They're really soft and don't crumble so I approve and will enjoy. I'm sure sentimental reasons are definitely a big part of why he named them as favorite and when I think about it they really suit him but there are better Slovenian cookies like almost any from Težak bakery in Zreče.

4. Half the venue were teenagers or parents with anything between 4 to 12 year olds. I was surrounded. And since I sat a few rows above the backstage entrance, kids all tried reaching for them as they were going off stage and among all the girls there was an 8 (?) year old boy who reached out and Bojan gave him a high-five... and lemme tell you I very much dislike kids but the way that boy turned and excitedly smiled melted my icy heart.

5. Third concert of theirs, third time on Jan's side. And I think Kris somehow knows & takes revenge by not singing NGVOT whenever I'm in the audience 😔

6. Found it adorable how as ASTP was starting, Nace went to drink some water, took his bottle and clinked it against Jure's 🥂

7. Love that Maks was there again, I like the guy. At some point during the concert he was leaning on the fence above me taking pics and I missed half a song watching him work 🙈

8. As I was behind the loudspeakers, I heard Bojan's singing fine, but talking barely because it was often too distorted. What I did hear was him saying we came there for a workout to burn all the cookie calories from the last few days... and boy are you on the wrong track because I came back home with four different packs of cookies 🍪

9. Band dad Niko's daughter was with him watching the concert from next to the stage and he danced with her and it was adorable. The existence of good dads baffles my poor unloved ass...

10. We all know how in the setlist there's a connection between Padam and Demoni because Bojan even sometimes said "and when we fall they come", but I realised the chain starts with Dopamin. First you get a dopamine rush and feel like flying but soon you experience a crash because your body used up all the good stuff and then comes the falling and the demons (and then you go back to someone so the demons would go away but that someone just plays you again - if I wanna extend it to Katrina). Yes it's kind of a concert - post concert sadness - concert rinse&repeat metaphor

11. Janči had problems with his pedalboard for the first two or three songs, he and Kiki spent minutes fiddling with it trying to get it to work. Poor guy can't catch a break.

12. So yeah, the last point is based on Jan being sick, but it's actually about the main reason I like them so much - the connection, love and care they share.

I realised Jan wasn't okay during the concert so Bojan just confirmed it for me. He obviously still slayed, and he went to play at the front a lot, but there were telling moments.

A) When Bojan came to Jan at one point and rubbed his back in a very non performative way, squeezing at his shoulder and whispering something.

B) When Jan plopped down during Padam I thought "not when he usually goes down, is he okay?" and then Bojan leaned down to stroke his hair.

C) The most telling of all, when he sat down during Umazane misli. I kept looking at him, ignoring the left-front-right karaoke. He looked so tired and off, put his head in his hands and then Kiki gave him a bottle of water. When Nace turned around and noticed him like that, he smiled encouragingly and told him it's okay three times (yep they were close enough to read lips) and that's when I was 100% sure something was wrong and he was either feeling off emotionally or sick. He then got up, went to the front, played his ass off and only when he was walking back was it visable again for a moment how empty his expression was.

D) Jure coming to comfort him and cheer him up as soon as he could lift his ass away from those drums, leading him to the front where in the end Jan turned out to be the one stroking Nace's back in a "yeah it's okay" kinda way

E) As they were leaving for the final time, someone gave Jan a wrapped present he looked actually happy about and he threw back a pick but it fell where the person couldn't reach so Nace took over making sure the person gets it.

That's it. They are all utterly beautiful. And anyone who knows me, knows I use that word to describe people first and foremost on the inside. Beautiful.

Being a highly subjective assessment of one tiny corner of the interwebs. Organized by which ones (in each category) I’m enjoying most.

Ongoing Series - Thai

Step By Step (Tues WeTV & Gaga) ep 8 of 10 - Emotional blackmail from the ex notwithstanding, I guess it’s Pat’s turn to break hearts. I have to say Up was really well cast in this part - extremely believable. Well done all around. Jeng is so smitten, so awkward, so cautious, yet so sharp when it comes to a seme confrontations. I LOVE how sensitive Jeng is to the fact that he has a one-sided crush but also deluded by how much he wants the fantasy of the relationship. The agonizing roller coaster we watch him go through in this ep did a lot of work to elevate and expand his character. (Oh hi Green!) Poor Pat: thinks he’s teasing his straight boss, is actually slow dancing with future husband. Happens to the best of us.

La Pluie (Sat iQIYI) ep 8 of 10 - Don’t kiss someone else. Just argh. Dumb plot divice. I expected better of you LP. Everyone is so overdramatic and overreacting. I wonder if (in addition to all of the other tropes this narrative is scrutinizing) it’s examining bisexual identity through Pat + his ex? Like, this episode is actually about trusting the bisexual to choose his gay lover when he has the so called “option of being normal.” That soulmate is an allegory for gayness & identity & choice (and whether we even have a choice in who we love and are attracted to) and the interplay all of this has with one's own perception of self and other's perception of you… Or am I giving it too much credit? Meanwhile... l flipping adore the love triangle twist, and really wonder if they’re gonna have the guts to take this aspect to its inevitable triangular conclusion. Such a good show.

Be My Favorite (Fri YouTube) ep 4 of 10? - Screw all y’all, I’m eloping with Pair & Max. We forming a thrupple and pretending Jittirain doesn’t exist. Trash watch here.

Luminous Solution (Sat Gaga) ep 4 of 6 - I love the high school boys so much it’s scary: flirting, biting, frankness, roughhousing + lap sitting! Also messy high school gay triangle. Gah. All of this for little-old me?! I was mad every time we jumped forward in time (to the adults) or whatever the hell is going on. Thank goodness this is only 6 eps.

Ongoing Series - Not Thai

Love Tractor (Korea Weds iQIYI) eps 3-4 of 8 - I LOVE IT SO MUCH. IT IS EVERYTHING. SHUT UP I AM FERRIL FOR THE BEAUTIFUL CITY BOY & HIS YOUNG FARMER. Come on. Korea. Have mercy? Plus some language play? Slayed. Right... the episode; This show reminds me so much of a Korean style Restart After Come Back Home. I’m not even slightly mad about it. It’s the BL I didn’t even know to ask for. Soap opera tumble and baby in hospital is SUCH a princess moment and I am living for it. Although the reversal is even cuter, princess turns out to be a caring tsundere Dom. And then obligatory water-hose frolicking! Oh, stop, you. (Allegory much? i being to think hose spraying is just another way of BL saying... well... hose spraying) AND “there is only one bed but they slept together on the floor together anyway”. These boys are hitting all my favorite tropes. BL please never lose your sense of childish wonder. And... the hose spraying is nice too.

Tokyo in April AKA Shigatsu no Tokyo wa (Japan Thurs Gaga) ep 1 of 8 - Based on a NSFW yaoi, this is a reunion romance that takes place in an office. Look, this is a weird little 2nd chance at love that reminds me a bit of Our Dating Sim. But it’s more traditional yaoi office romance with evil boss and inter-departmental politics. The leads are cute childhood (almost) sweethearts and I adore it unreasonably already.

Vian the series (Vietnam YouTube ) ep 6 of 12 - Vertical video prod is stupid. I’m sorry young people. Stop it. BUT the cuddling is cute. Christ BV can kiss. Is there anyone he doesn’t have amazing chemistry with? Oh the sunshade trope I haven’t seen that one in forever. Also clearly his character has a type, and that type = ultra-bitch.

Stupid Genius (Vietnam Fri YouTube) ep 2 of 6 - It’s fine.

Naked Dinner AKA Zenra Meshi (Japan Fri Gaga) ep 9 of 12 - Oh dear. Baby is hurt and rejected. Faen fatal knows her competition is a boy, she also knows what jealousy looks like. But this baby has his own boy. This is all feeling rather Thai BL. There’s even an ep 11 of DOOM coming up next.

It’s Airing But ...

House of Stars (Thai Mon iQIYI) 12 eps - I bounced at ep 3. Will binge if told it is worth it at end.

Stay (Pinoy YouTube) 7 eps - It’s mostly in English and set in LA so I’m not bothering but the first one did drop.

Ever After (Pinoy ????) - I got nothing.

Takumi-kun Series 6: Nagai Nagai Monogatari no Hajimari no Asa (Japan Sun ????) 10 eps - NO ONE ASKED FOR THIS and no, I have no idea where to get it, why would I? (Say it with me everyone: Oh Japan, must you?*)

Boys Love Omegaverse (Japan ????) - honestly tho? Who tf cares? You’ll still tell me if you find it, because inquiring minds... Irony of this airing at the same time as Takumi-kun. Full circle much, Japan?

Ended This Week

Tin Tem Jai special showed up on Gaga as ep 11 & 12 under the original show. (Indebted to spies reporting in.) Also on YouTube. What was that I just watched? Did I watch something? Was there anything? I suppose the bathtub scene was cute. Subs are bonkers. Seriously. Do. Not. Bother.

Our Dining Table AKA Bokura no Shokutaku (Japan) - pay attention TTJ THIS is how you do a special. But I’m gonna do a series review, here ya go: I was always gonna love the show if they stuck to the manga (which is very dear to my heart). And they did, paralleling it almost exactly. It’s a quiet & cozy little parable of found family alleviating loneliness. Possibly too slow for some but definitely high up there for me with the best of what Japan can do (like Restart After Come Back Home), it’s only flaw (if I dare say such a thing) is that it is not really “romantic.” Lovely & sweet but the romance beats are being used to build a family relationship, not just couple intimacy, it’s OK with me, but not totally BL. 9/10

This gives bad boy hazer Dino an opportunity to hit on Rak at last. From The Yearbook people so I will not watch this as it airs. After Remember Me? Never again with them.

I wrote a giant description of all the characters based on what my friend and I were talking about can I have your opinion:

I am going to be starting with the first post where I mention the balectors of Stardew valley. This means the characters that you are able to date and eventually marry if you want to do that. In order to reach perfection, which is the end of the game, you need to have someone live in your house with 12 hearts in order to give you a stardrop. Hearts are friendship points you can get by giving points. That is one of the two ways to gain friendship. The other is through cut scenes you get by progressing in your relationship and by saying things that make them either like or hate you more.

Anyways, onto the characters, starting with Haley who is the first person you mention. I am married to her which is because I like how her character progresses. As you gain friendship with her, she gets more nice and is open to different things then she was before. For example, she used to throw away her clothes each year but says she donates it now. She is super cute and sweet when she is married to her and it seems as though she is in love. She is kind of like a disney princess as you mention because she likes makeup and is girly. The next you mentioned is Leah who actually lives in a cottage and lives to forage and build for you. Penny is actually the opposite of what you said as she is horrible at baking and teaches the two children in town (and eventually Leo) Jas and Vincent and she also likes to read. Her mother, Pam, is abusive. But I can talk about her in a little bit. Abigail is the most popular person to marry as people like her because she is adventurous and wants to fight in the caves and is in a band with Sam and Sebstain. There is a theory that she is actually the wizard’s daughter because her mom admits to going to his tower and her dad says they do not look similar and the wizard says he thinks he might have a daughter. Abigail is also kind of a meme because if you give her gems she will say, “How did you know that I was hungry?” Basically everyone considers her cool and a meme and she is probably the wizard’s daughter. Emily likes crystals and parrots and dances and all of her cut scenes are basically fever dreams. So she is kind of a psychopath and super excited all of the time. Her and Haley are sisters and do not get along. In earlier versions of Maru, she had really curly hair and a lot of the community, including me, thinks she looks better like that. I also consider her hair to be kind of cool. She likes robotics.

Anyways, the next up is the marriage candidates for the guys. You are totally right that it is so random. Elliot is a writer and he is very attention starved as he writes you poems and is obsessed with you when you date him and writes you a book based on what genre you say you like. Harvey IS a simple man. His favorite gift is coffee so you definitely got that done. He has anxiety and never talks to anyone and tries to be better about that if you date him. So he is chill and kind of a meme because your stuff gets taken if you get knocked out in battle and he charges a thousand gold for repairing you. You were exactly right with Sebastian as he is moody and does not like people and plays video games from 10am to 10pm. Alex is sexist to you if you are a girl and is kind of arrogant about wanting to be a professional football player. So you are completely right. You are wrong about Shane, though, he is actually really mean to you and wants you to not talk to him. Most of his events are about him being suicidal and depressed and an acholicoal. One is where he wants to roll off a cliff and is drunk. Not mafia material. I do agree about his jacket, though, it is kind of cool. Even though it has a J on it which stands for Joja which is a company he works for. Joja is basically the definition of capitalism in this game. Sam is actually friends with Sebastian and Abigail and he wants to be in a band which he is in. They like to play DND and it is a thing in the community that Sam and Sebastain should be dating.

Onto the villagers. Willy is a fisherman and kind of chill so you were sort of wrong but I would definitely want to go on an adventure with him as well so actually I agree, you win. Everyone loves Robin and a lot of people are sad you cannot date her because of Demetris. You were so wrong about Demetris but the way. Robin is actually Sebstain’s mom’s but he is it related to Demetrius. Demetris hates Sebastian but loves Maru and this makes Sebastian really angry. Demeteruis also does not care about Robin who we love. Sandy is my favorite as she is lonely in the desert and really wants to spend time with you and is super confident and sweet. You are right about Pam, also, by the way. She is super abusive and drinks too much beer every night and treats her daughter, Penny, unfairly. She also speaks like she is living in texas. The wizard is kind of weird but he is also cool because of his magic. Krobus is amazing and he is the opinion for the aromantics as you can have him move into your house and he gives you hugs instead of kisses and is amazing. The dwarf hates Krobus because of a war between the dwarfs and the shadow people so he kind of sucks. Krobus is adorable. Jas and Vincent are both kind of weird like no one cares about them. I mean Jas is more interesting because she is related to Shane and Marine and Vincent is interesting because his dad, Kent, has ptsd from fighting in the war. Kent is kind of weird and has a freakout because of popcorn because of his ptsd. Pierre is not like Harvey at all, he steals credit for your crops and only cares about money and nothing else. No one really likes him. Evelyn is the nicest person ever as she makes cookies for you and says you can call her Granny. Everyone likes her so much. Jodi is kind of boring and depressed because she has no freedom and spends her entire life taking care of her kids, Sam and Vincent. Demetris is awful. Linus and Leo go together because they both like nature and are kind of connected to it. Lewis is not. He steals money from the town and uses it to make gold statues of himself. He is dating Marine and refuses to make their relationship public even though no one would care and is toxic. Also, the others you did not mention are Caronline and Clint and George and Gus so I am just going to explain them. Caroline is Pierre’s husband and might be cheating on him so you know… kind of bad… whatever. She is fine I guess, it is weird, no one really cares about her. Clint has a crush on Emily and is super creepy about it and is kind of disgusting and tries to be like a sob story so not thank you. George is super grumpy and rude and is in a wheelchair because of a mining accident. Gus is amazing and kind of knows everything about everyone.

Onto the next section, okay? Grandpa looks blue because he is a ghost who visits you in your third year. I do not like him. It is weird. The governor is actually like you think he is, he has no clue about anything and just wants to visit once a year to literally just eat soup. (I am not kidding, look it up, promise you.) Marlon is actually like you say and he has a crush on Marnie and is a perfect opinion for her. Birdie is part of ginger island and is super sweet and gives you fairy dust and you find something for her to remind her of her husband who died in a tragic accident. It is amazing to do because you get an award and it is just wholesome and kind of sad. Gil does supply items and he is like a moment away from death basically so you are right. Gunther is awesome and yeah, kind of suspicious but great. Okay. That is all of the villagers summarized for you.

well, here are some of my thoughts:

Penny isn't necessarily bad at cooking,(from what I know) she just shouldn't experiment. She's also shy and emotionally sensitive

Emily is what I believe people call a "Cristal girl" not necessarily a psychopath, she also seems to have her "head in the clouds" and yeah, positive most of the time.

Ermm... actually☝️🤓 Harvey takes 10% of however much gold you have.

Dang, you kept Alex one short! But yeah, same thing as Hayley but with the ego and the sexism if you're a girl. He also lives with Grany Eveiln and Granpa Jorge because his mother died and the father was presumably abusive

To be fair to ghost grandpa, he's stuck haunting the farm until you can get the perfection statue so he kinda can't move on lmao!

Marlon is also a cool adventurer who will go down in the dangerous mines to get your stuff if you pay him

I wouldn't say Demetrius hates Sebastian, he just has a huge favoritism problem. He's also a very logical thinker from what I can interpret in his dialog

And to be fair to Clint... the Farmer's also kinda a stalker...in more ways than one...

But I'm not here to argue anything, I'm just sharing some thoughts. You have a right to think whatever you want about whatever character

Yui Komori random headcanons ! ⁽⁠⁽⁠ଘ⁠(⁠ ⁠ˊ⁠ᵕ⁠ˋ⁠ ⁠)⁠ଓ⁠⁾⁠⁾

A/N: Random headcanons for my favorite girl. Since I created Corina, I just fell in love with Yui again.

It's just silly headcanons, nothing too serious, trying to be coherent to canon Yui. Peace in your hearts. ✌️

First of all, before everything, her face claim: (definitely) McKenna Grace.

Looks so different without fringe, not that she looks like a totally different person, but it's like you'll always be staring at her forehead like if it was obscene for her to show it.

Even tho she's scared and hates most bugs, she can't find the courage to kill them and don't want to let anyone else kill them too.

She's just so sweet with everything and everyone, there's no way you can hate her at all (even y/n wishes she was like Yui).

Did ballet for some time when she was a kid. Nowadays, she still knows a bit about it and still practices when she has time or the diaboys aren't near her.

Her favorite movie? Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses. Her father didn't let her watch most cartoons when she was a kid because he thought it wasn't appropriate for Yui, but Barbie was one of the few she could watch, she feels nostalgic every time and misses those days.

I'm pretty sure she would love animes that have magical girls, like: Sailor Moon, Smiley Pretty Cure!, Sakura Card Captors, Powerpuff Girls Z, Little Witch Academia, etcetera.

In my opinion, I don't think Yui knows many songs that aren't gospel. Her father was very strict with it, even normal pop music was something he didn't enjoy, so she just started listening to these types of songs when she started living with the Sakabros.

Truth be told, she prefers dogs over cats. No explanation needed.

She takes utmost care of the things she has. Growing up in poor conditions, Yui didn't have much, rarely received new clothes/toys; most of them were used and came from donations, so since she was really young, she learned that she needed to take care of them and be grateful about every single thing that she was presented with.

Cries of happiness so easily! Even such a simple gesture that you do unconsciously makes Yui so happy to the point of tears because she got used to the harshness and roughness of the Diaboys.

She tried to take care of plants so many times when she was a kid, but they always ended up dying because she put way too much water thinking it would feel thirsty.

That night Nico goes to bed thinking that he should ask MamaH to marry him because there is no reason why they shouldn’t get married so in the next morning he starts planning the proposal, he brings Iris to help him buy the rings

One thing is for sure and that is Nico really wants to propose to her in Switzerland so he involves his entire family, Nico tells them the idea of the marriage proposal and everyone is excited

“Your mom called me and said she would love to see the kids before you start the season, what do you think?”

“Okay, I'll buy the plane ticket to night” (fun fact he bought the tickets 3 week ago)

Days later, when they are in Switzerland, Nico tells MamaH to go for a walk while the children are with their grandparent’s

“Oh do you want to go for a hike? okay I'll go change my clothes and..”

“No, no it's not necessary, I just want to walk”

After a while, Nico and Mom stop to appreciate the landscape of the Swiss Alps

“Do you remember the first time you came to Switzerland to meet my family?”

“Of course I remember, you are very lucky to have been born in this beautiful place baby”

“I'm luckier now that I have you and my babies”

*This is where the marriage proposal begins*

“I'm very happy that we are together now, and I know that there are many ways to be happy, but none as satisfying as the happiness I found at your side, the first time I lost you I thought my world had ended because from the first time I saw you,you became my world but after so many storms we are finally together again, and I know it wasn't easy but I refuse to let you go for a second time, nothing is going to make me leave your side again my destiny is to be by your side with Iris and Luca, I can't imagine a life without you by my side, every morning when I wake up the first thing I want is to see your smile and the last thing I want to do before closing my eyes is kiss you. And I want to do this for the rest of my life, I want to give you my world... Y/N, will you marry me?”

Now I’m crying.

Back in August of 2022, I went and got diagnosed with ADD at the age of 36. The diagnosis was a surprise to nobody and was largely just a formality, if I'm being honest.

It's kind of amazing what I got away with growing up with ADD. I felt like people just kind of let me do my thing and it just kind of worked out. It's funny thinking back on the habits I had that most people would be disciplined for.

I was drinking like 6-10 sodas a day like it's no big deal. My parents didn't think it was a problem because I was active (Dance Dance Revolution), was desperate to gain weight (120lbs at 5'10), and did well in school (graduated with honors). Looking back, I was definitely self medicating with caffeine, but like, so what?

I think I would've had a harder time if someone was like "no more soda for you!" without considering how it was helping me along without the need for prescription drugs. I also didn't like coffee at the time (before they became milkshakes), so I probably would've struggled.

I can't believe I got away with the fidget toys, the ones before they were called fidget toys. I think I always had some kind of toy in my hands, and for some reason the teachers let me keep them. Mind you, I went to Catholic school for most of my life. Discipline was paramount, and yet I was just... allowed to have my toys.

My favorite was a plastic... snake ball puzzle? I guess it's a "Rubik's Twist", but I got it out of a vending machine for like 50 cents and I loved it. It was small, quiet, and kept my hands occupied during class. It feels like the kind of thing that would get confiscated, but for some reason I was just allowed to play with it.

The worst toy I got was in high school when I discovered those kneaded gummy erasers. I sketched a lot during class (another thing I was allowed to do for some reason), but the eraser was a toy. I would sculpt things in the middle of class, and do stuff like roll out pieces to make flowers. My hands smelled like rubber, pencil lead, and dead skin all the time. It was awful and I loved playing with it.

Even in college, I had my DS out all the time. I got my minor in mathematics while going through Super Princess Peach and Mario Kart DS (twice, I lose my save at one point).

My friends were jealous of my ability to multitask, but that's the funny thing, right? I was only really able to do well because my brain was engaged in these "distractions", which gave room for all the learning to really be absorbed. It wasn't really that I was able to play and do schoolwork at the same time. It was more like... I'm only able to do schoolwork while I play. Play was necessary for learning, and for some reason I was always allowed to do that.

I remember in grade school, we had a poll in the class about "how much TV were we watching", I think it was in context of advertising or something. A lot of the kids were like 1 hour a day or a few hours a week. I asked if it counted if the TV was on while I was doing other stuff, and it did, so I clocked in at least 6-8 hours a day.

I love my mom and dad for just letting my sister and I to enjoy things. I think I always had a TV in my room, including a small 12" CRT with a VCR built into it. They didn't care what we watched, either. I think their thought was that they wanted us to learn English, but they didn't know how to teach it. They learned by watching TV, so they figured my sister and I could learn by doing the same.

I remember using my TV as an alarm by setting it to turn on automatically in the morning. The guitar riff from the Pokemon Theme Song is a great way to juice up your adrenaline every morning. 10/10, highly recommend.

It was the golden age of Edu-tainment, too. Everything from Seseme Street, Eureka's Castle, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, Blue Clues, Captain Planet, Power Rangers, Animaniacs, etc etc was made for learning. It was mandated, and it was great. I kind of miss those days, especially when Cartoon Network turned into nothing but Gumball and Teen Titan's Go by the time I stopped watching them. There's a certain artistry in making learning fun in a way that doesn't feel like an animated classroom.

I just... don't know why all of this was allowed. Half a case of Soda a day. Video games during class. TV all day, every day. I feel like I'd be a suburban mother's nightmare, but I think it was what I needed. It's not like my parents knew anything about ADD, not that it mattered so long as the grades were good. They just let me go on auto-pilot while I jumped from interest to interest and enabled me when they could. Inadvertently, I think they did what I needed from them, even if it was against the grain of what everyone else thought would be "healthy parenting".

2. Favorite canon thing about this character? Lisbon: That she wears Jane's wedding ring on her necklace (and fully understands its significance/makes peace with him not taking it off/apologizes about it, etc.) and is so protective of him from the start. AND her lil dancing. Jane: That gift-giving is so clearly his love language because it's mine too 🥰 And the moments of life we see in him despite the tragedy, like building his sandcastle and making a daisy chain. Also, literally any time there's a kid.

4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in? Lisbon: Okay this might be silly but I kind of want to see her in Miss Congeniality because of the whole angry little princess thing 🤭 Jane: Brooklyn Nine-Nine, particularly for the Halloween Heist. I would loooove to see him with Peralta lmao

7. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you like? Lisbon: This probably goes for all the characters, but the fandom thinks so deeply about her character and really digs in to the complexity and I love it. Jane: I love that everyone treats his story with respect and is so thoughtful about the nuance of his character! I also never ever imagined I'd call any man babygirl but this is the first fandom where I really 100% get it hehe

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character? Lisbon: I think she read at least one of Jane's letters every day and had her favorite ones memorized. I also think she put his teacup back together during those two years and just waited to surprise him with it when she felt the time was right. And that she would make his cup of tea for him when she was especially sad/missing him. I also love that she couldn’t answer when Jane called because it meant she had a voicemail from him, and I think she listened to it over and over. Jane: I think he buys or makes gifts for Angela and Charlotte on their birthdays and keeps them somewhere special (since we know he doesn't visit their graves to mark the anniversary). I also think he collected memories to share with Lisbon with the hope that he'd get to tell her and brought her some sort of gift, like a seashell.

13. What's an emoji, an emoticon and/or any symbol that reminds you of this character or you think the character would use a lot? Lisbon: 🫦 because of her lip biting! Jane: 👀 reminds me of Jane because he really embodies that emoji lol (also 🐸) and this 😌 reminds me of both of them (especially with a flower tucked behind their ear)

Something for a story that I won’t do, maybe.

Bruno never had an opinion of La Squadra in the past, in the past week they were the enemy. But recently after having a stand-off at the Cathedral and finding out the Boss wanted Trish dead, they called a truce and it’s now a wary one.

He, his team and Trish inside a rather large apartment, it was highly feminine with the owner to match.

“Would you like more cookies?”

“Yes ma’am.”

Narancia and Mista were wolfing down the food she given them. Charcuterie boards, three savory and two sweet laid out on the coffee table. Along with two bottles of wine and a large pitcher of pink lemonade.

Narancia complained earlier when he was given lemonade instead of wine but the woman reasoned with Bruno that he was underage and didn’t like the idea of a minor drinking. The capo complied, fortunately Narancia seemed to like the taste.

Bruno watched her from where he seated as the. young woman came back from the kitchen and place another bowl of cookies.

The capo briefly remembered the words of their leader, Risotto.

“Go to this address, it’s a safe house. However, if you harm the woman living there we’ll all kill you ourselves.”

Bruno sipped his wine and shared a glanced with Leone as they watch the woman interact with younger members. Trish seemed more at ease in seeing another female, both of them chatted as the bubblegum girl took sips on her lemonade.

Giorno nibbled on the chocolate as he surveyed the living room. Fugo was bouncing his knee as he ate his crackers and cheese. Finally Giorno placed a hand on his knee and calmed.

She was not what they expected when they think of women who spend their time with La Squadra.

When knocked on her door, they all thought she was twelve due to her height but she explained with a tight lipped smile that she was twenty. Her apricot orange hair was in a messy bun with a few strands framing her face. Her pale skin made all the tawny freckles all over her body stand out making them look like constellations. She wore a pink Pusheen shirt and matching shorts.

She was too cute and honestly too innocent to be associated with them.

Rapid knocking on the door had them stop eating, in Narancia’s case choking on his food in mid-chew.

Tira, he recalled, hopped over to the door. Much to Fugo and Leone’s protests.

“What are you doing!?”

“Are you stupid?”

She ignored them and stopped at the door.

“What’s the name of the protagonist of Barbie and the 12 dancing princesses?”

Bruno shared a look with his team, wondering if she lost it.

“Genevieve.” The answer was chorused, he also detect a hint of tiredness.

“What’s the name of my favorite Barbie movie?”

“Fashion Fairytale. Just open the door already, Woman!”

That was Ghiaccio.

The shorter female chuckled and unlocked her door. One by one the members of La Squadra di Esecuzione trickle in, and she kissed each one of them. Mista choked in his food when she did that.

They settle themselves on the couch, opposite from the Bucci gang who were staring at them with apprehension.

“I’m going to get more glasses.” Tira announced, turning to the kitchen.

“I-I’ll help!” Trish spring up and followed her, Bruno doesn’t miss how she stiffen in fear when she first saw the hitman team enter the room.

The room was tense and awkward, the only sounds were Formaggio and Gelato’s eating.

“What?” Prosciutto demanded after a few more minutes if agonizing silence.

Narancia and Mista began. “You guys watch Barbi-“

“SHUT UP!”
