Pairing: JJ Maybank x reader

Summary: You and JJ never got along so your friends trap the two of you on a boat in the middle of the marsh to work it out. Only it doesn’t go as planned.

Part 2

Y/N Y/L/N. That’s you. Or as some like to call you, Hannah Montana. You live the best of both worlds, living it up on Figure Eight and wearing hundred dollar dresses to fancy dinners and parties, sneaking expensive mimosas to brunches with your friends, and getting biweekly mani pedi’s with your sister. Meanwhile, when you’re not rolling around in the luxuries of Kook Life, you’re rolling around in the dirt with your Pogue friends, baking in the sun on a dirty small boat while drinking the cheapest beer one of the boys’ could get their hands on. Most Kooks hated you even when they wanted to be you. And most Pogues didn’t trust you even as they tried getting in your pants.

One of them being JJ Maybank.

Kiara introduced you to her group of friends right after freshman year. The two of you were the black sheep of Kook Academy. Both your families have money, sure. But you weren’t jerks about it. You enjoy a little pampering here and there, but you’re not tone deaf and superficial like the rest of your peers. You were so grateful that your science teacher paired you two together for that year’s science fair. You instantly clicked with the curly brunette and spent most of the class talking about whatever came to mind instead of actually brainstorming project ideas. After working together for months on a science fair project with a shared passion of wanting to help save the environment, Kie finally introduced you to her best friends.

John B and Pope immediately made you feel like one of the group. Sure, they were curious about your life but you never felt like you were being interrogated with questions. They included you on inside jokes and even gave you the nickname ‘Sassy’ after proving to them that you can hold your own in a verbal fight.

Thanks to JJ.

From the start he claimed to never like you. He hated where you were from, who your parents were, and that you never had a job. He hated that you didn’t even have to try to get people to like you. In his eyes, everything was handed to you on silver platter. You had a picture perfect life and all you had to do was bat your eyelashes and show off your pearly white teeth. He couldn’t stand you.

Yet, he was dangerously attracted to you.

He loved the way your hair shined against the setting sun, he loved that you didn’t wear makeup every single day like every other Kook on the island, he loved how your white jean shorts perfectly shaped your curves, and he loved how your temper was as equally as short as his because it made you fighting with him that much hotter.

Last night was no different than every other night with you and your friends. It was quiet, spent around a bonfire in John B’s back yard. You sipped on cheap beer from the can while the smell of JJ’s marijuana smoke wafted through the air. Kie lightly strummed the strings of her ukulele while Pope and JJ bickered about the pros and cons of smoking weed.

This was your family. You had friends on the other side of the island too but you weren’t as close as you were with the Pogues. You would do anything for the people surrounding you. Even JJ. You tried to tell yourself you hated him just as much as he hated you, but you couldn’t help but feel like every other girl on this island, falling for his ocean blue eyes and golden locks. His wit and his charm. His loyalty and protectiveness of his friends. How he looked with his shirt off. How he would wink at you when he caught you staring. You wished you didn’t, but you loved him.

“Hellooo, Y/N?” John B waved his hand in front of your face. You hadn’t even realized you’d been staring.

“I’m sorry. What were you saying?”

John B smirked but didn’t say what he was thinking. He always thought you and JJ were acting dumb when it was clear as day that the two of you were attracted to each other. He always caught you two staring at one another when the other wasn’t looking. You two would always ask about the other person when they weren’t there even if it was just to throw a sharp jab behind their back.

“I asked you what you were up to this weekend.”

“Oh,” You shrugged. “Probably run some errands, babysit my neighbor’s kids...”

Just like Hannah Montana, you also lived a secret life. Your life wasn’t as perfect as everyone thought it was, but you’d never admit to it. Your mother would be crushed, your friends would find you stupid and pathetic, and you would hate yourself even more than you already did.

“Good. Sunday we’re going to check out the surfing competition on Seasill Beach. JJ’s trying to qualify for it next year.”

Your smile immediately dropped. “Sunday. Oh.”

“Already got a spa day planned, Princess?” JJ smirked from across the way.

“I, uh,” You tried your best to fake a grin. “I’m sorry. I can’t go. I already have plans.”

You held you breath as you waited for someone to respond. This was the third time this month you flaked on your friends without a good explanation. You never knew what to tell them, only that you had plans. You were afraid if you said anything else, they’d find out you were lying.

“Again?” Kie stopped playing her ukulele to look at you. “Seriously. Is there some secret boy we should know about or something?”

You scoffed. “No.”

You felt the most guilty lying to Kie. After all she was your best friend. The one you were supposed to be able to share everything with, even the stuff you couldn’t tell your parents.

“Kie’s right. You bailed on us last week last minute too,” Pope said.

You opened your mouth to say something, but your head wasn’t working fast enough to come up with a lie.

“We all knew this day would come.” JJ’s smirk was gone. He flicked the butt of his joint into the fire and claps off the ash from his hands. “Hannah Montana dips her toes into the wild life. She feels free and independent long enough to decide she’d rather go back to her cookie cutter life and live with all the privilege that daddy has to offer.”

The word ‘daddy’ physically made you flinch. Your eyes narrowed in a tight glare as you dug your fingernails into the palm of your hand, hating that this was the way JJ thought of you.

“J...” John B tried to warn him but JJ didn’t listen.

“No, seriously.” JJ stood up. “I bet the reason she’s not telling us what all her ‘plans’ are is because she knows you’ll all be disappointed. Me? Well, I couldn’t care less whether you hung out with us or not. In fact, I’ve been praying for it. So tell us, Y/N, what are you doing that you won’t tell us? If it’s not some dude, then maybe you decided you’d rather be a Kook. Are you going to fancy lunches and riding yachts across the ocean? Maybe you’re spitting in the faces of the people who work to make your life easier. Maybe -”

“JJ!” Kie yelled.

You stood up, your vision turning red and your skin going hot. Usually you could take JJ’s insults. You were use to JJ throwing your family’s money in your face, trying to make you feel bad for something you can’t control, but this was too much. Because now he was calling you out on your loyalty to your friends. And he was so far from the truth.

“You would like that, wouldn’t you?” You said. The other three stood up when you took a step in JJ’s direction. John B stood close to you. He didn’t know what you were going to do, but he’s never heard your voice so low and threatening in a long time. The other time was with a Kook who was giving JJ shit. Ironically. “For me to just leave.”

“I didn’t stutter, did I?”

“Well I hate to break it to you, but I’m not going anywhere. In fact, because I’m such a nice friends, I’m going to give you some free advice. First, the last thing you want to question me about is my loyalty to the people who’s lives I would put before my own. Second, I would suggest removing that stick up your ass because it seems like your way too uptight to handle it.”

JJ glared at you and didn’t move to respond. A part of you was surprised he didn’t have anything to come back with and the other part of you was relieved.

The thick tension between you and your friends was suffocating. Your night had been effectively ruined by a simple question. But the sad part is, you didn’t even know who to blame. JJ, or the other man causing most of your guilt and grief.

“Y/N/N...” Kie tried stopping you as you gathered your stuff to leave.

“I’m out of here.”

You stormed out of the backyard and into your car. There was only so much you could take until you broke. And you were not going to give JJ Maybank the satisfaction of seeing you break.

You couldn’t fall asleep last night. JJ’s words kept replaying in your head like a bad song stuck on replay. You wanted to hate him. You wanted to blame him for not trusting you. But instead, you hated yourself. Because you’re the reason he can’t trust you. Cause you have secrets you don’t want shared.

Your thumb hovered over his contact. Not JJ’s. The man who’s made your life a living hell for the last sixteen years. You wanted to scream and cry and slap him in his face. But instead, you stayed frozen in fear. Like the little pathetic girl he says you are. And you hated yourself more for proving him right.

Your attention was taken away when someone busted through your bedroom door out of breath. Kie immediately went to your drawers and pulled out the first bathing suit she could find and threw it at you.

“Kie -”

“We need to go,” She said. “Get dressed.”

“Why? What’s going on?”

“Pope and John B ran out of gas doing grocery runs for Heyward. We need to get them with the HMS Pogue.”

“Where’s JJ? Why can’t he help you?”

“He’s working,” Kie said quickly. “Come on.”

You and Kie found Heyward’s boat stranded in the middle of the marsh like Kie said it would be. John B and Pope were waiting for you on the back and thanking you both for coming to help. You hold the gas as they helped you onto the boat. They directed you to the tank while they helped Kie.

As soon as you made your way to the front of the boat, you heard the engine of the Pogue rev and take off. You dropped the gasoline gallon and sprinted to the back of the boat where they left you. John B and Pope waved back to you as Kie drove them back to the Chataeu.

“What the hell?” You yelled at them to come back.

“You and JJ need to work your shit out!” John B yelled back to you.

“What...” You mumbled to yourself before you heard the sound of heavy footsteps running towards you. You gasp in surprise when a sweaty JJ passed you to glare at the boat that’s getting smaller and smaller by the second.

“What the fuck?” He screamed.

“There’s food and blankets in the cabin!” Pope yelled back.

“We’ll come get you in the morning,” Kie said.

You clenched your teeth together with frustration. JJ looked just as pissed off and small part of you was disappointed with that. He turned around, cursing to himself and hitting random shit in his way.

This was going to be a long day.

After four hours, you and JJ still hadn’t spoken to each other. He took over the cabin while you laid out on the back of the boat. Your head was running with different thoughts. Should you try to make up with JJ? Should you just continue to ignore him? Should you tell him why you can’t go to the surfing competition tomorrow?

You didn’t know what to do but you knew you couldn’t sit here in silence anymore.

You reluctantly stood in front of him with crossed arms. He was smoking a blunt and looking out into the setting sun. If you were friends, you would take a picture of him right now. The pink sky painted his skin perfectly.

“What?” He said without looking at you.

“Seriously?” You raised one brow. “We’re asked to do one thing on this boat and that’s all you have to say?”

“I’m not sorry for what I said last night.”

“Neither am I.”

“Fine.”

You rolled your eyes. The problem with both of you was that you’re both stubborn. But if the problem with JJ couldn’t be fixed today, you didn’t know how much longer you would be able to put up with his rude remarks and assumptions about you.

“What the hell is your problem?” You said.

“My problem?”

“Yeah. Your problem. You’ve been treating me like shit ever since Kie introduced me to you. What could I have possibly done to make you hate me so goddamn much?”

JJ shook his head in annoyance. “I’m not doing this.”

He got up and walked to the back of the boat where you were sulking not even five minutes ago. You followed him like the stubborn person you were and you continued to grill him.

“I’ve tried so hard to be your friend. I’ve bought you drugs, I’ve even done yours and JB’s laundry. I put in a good word to the tourons who ask about you at boneyard parties. I laugh at your jokes, even when they’re about my friends. I try so hard to be on your good side and you still want nothing to do with me!”

“Because you’re a Kook!”

“So?”

“You have everything. Money, family, friends, a future. I don’t trust you because I don’t know what the hell you want with us. What do we possibly have that you can’t get on Figure Eight? Hm? Are you trying to prove a point to your mom that you don’t need her? You trying to prove to your dad that you’re a tough girl and don’t need his money or protection to keep you safe? Huh?”

“You know what your problem is? You don’t listen! I’ve told you time and time again that I don’t care about any of those things. I hang out with you guys because you are my friends. I have a good time when I’m with you. Why is that so hard for you to get?”

JJ scoffed. “Please. You don’t think I see you constantly checking your cell phone? Making sure no one can see who you’re texting? If we’re such good friends, why won’t you tell us what you’re doing tomorrow? You always have ‘other plans’ and then you never tell us what they are.”

“Because that’s none of your business!”

“If my friends are going to get hurt because of some lying bitch then it is my business!”

You were breathing so heavily, you were basically panting. Your blood felt like it was boiling under your skin and your head felt fuzzy with lack of thoughts. You didn’t know what to say, truly lost for words.

JJ took another step closer to you. You’re so close to him, you can feel his breath on your face and see every mark on his skin. You never knew he had a scar right above his brow or a freckle under his ear. He smelled like weed and sun sunscreen and his breath like mint. Had you not been fired up with rage, you would have thought he looked hot and maybe even made a move.

But now it was the last thing you wanted to do.

“I’m sick and tired of you spoiled brats getting everything you want. You’re nothing but a spoiled rich kid who doesn’t even know the kind of privilege she has if it hit her in the face. You can’t relate to anything we have to go through. You don’t have to get dirt underneath your fingernails to make a buck. You don’t have to wonder where your next meal is coming from. You wouldn’t last a week on the Cut because you’ve never known what it’s been like to live the life we do!”

“You don’t know anything about me!” You snapped. The heart in your chest felt like it was being shredded to pieces by a rapid wolf. You felt like you were being torn apart one by one with each insult he threw in your face. Little did he know, he was wrong.

“I know enough to never want to see you again. I will never accept you into our group of friends. Don’t you get that? So you can stop playing the nice girl act around me and go back to Sarah Cameron and the other Kooks that you still hang out with despite knowing everything they’ve done to us. To Kie!”

Bringing up the fight between Kie and Sarah was a low blow and JJ knew it. It was something you always struggled with because you continued to be friends with both of them separately. At first, they were both mad at you but then accepted your friendship when they came around to loving the idea that you would fight for both of them. You tried getting them to talk and make up, but both of them refused. Maybe you should just stick them on a boat in the middle of nowhere and force them to work it out.

Although, clearly your experience with it wasn’t going so well.

“That’s not fair.”

“Yeah, well life’s not fair sweet heart. But you wouldn’t know about that.”

You thought the fight last night was bad. But this one took the icing off the cake. You wished so desperately that Kie had just trapped you both in a locked room, so at least you had the chance to break out and run away from the darkness that was clouding around you.

You were most upset that this was how JJ thought of you. You didn’t know if you would have the same devastating reaction if someone else had said these things to you. You wanted so badly to be friends with the blonde Pogue. You saw the way he interacted with his friends and you wanted to be a part of that small circle so badly, you would almost do anything to be in it.

But you didn’t think you could last another second of being belittled and tormented with JJ’s outspoken feelings towards you. You wished there was a rewind button so you could go back to bed and hopefully never wake up and you’d lock your door so Kie couldn’t break in.

You swallowed back the tears that threatened to fall and admit your defeat. You wanted to find the nearest corner and crawl into it and escape the murderous glare of JJ Maybank. JJ was wrong. You didn’t have everything. Because in this moment, you still wanted him. And you were just realizing that you never will.

“You judge me by the surface. You’ve never once tried to get to know me. You don’t ask. You just assume that I’m like every other kid on Figure Eight. You don’t know where I’ve came from. What I’ve been through. What I live with. You don’t know my plans for the future or my hobbies or even my favorite color because you didn’t ask!” Adrenaline pushes through your veins like a wave of energy. You’ve never felt so powerful but so small in your life.

“All right. So tell me,” JJ said. “Tell me whatever story you can think of that will change my mind about you.”

You paused, standing there face to face with someone who will never accept you. You were suddenly overcome with so many emotions you didn’t know which one to choose from. Anger, sorrow, fear, confusion, shame.

You couldn’t believe you even thought about telling JJ your story. A story that you haven’t even told Kie. The story about how you were actually born and raised on the far end of the south side. How your dad use to abuse your mother right in front of you before she managed to escape when you were eight. For six months you lived in her car before she got a job as a housekeeper at a cheap motel used mostly for hookers and their cliental. Her employer let you live rent free if your mom accepted a cheaper pay check. During one of her shifts, your mother ran right into Andrew Y/L/N. No, he wasn’t one of the hooker’s clients. He was actually on the property looking to buy out the place. Even though he was a Kook, he looked through the housekeeper’s uniform into my mom’s heart and loved everything about her. He took her on a couple dates, then less than a year later, married her. You changed your last name to his because you didn’t want any relation to your father anymore. You thought the man was scum and deserved to rot in hell for everything he put your mom through. You hated him and even wished for him to die. Sometimes you even thought about doing it yourself. But then you saw him again. At a gas station in the middle of The Cut. You couldn’t believe he recognized you and you were even more shocked he had the audacity to talk to you. And you listened. He told you how sorry he was. How he never meant to hurt your mom. How he missed his baby girl and wanted to be in her life again. You fell for every word because a part of you you didn’t know existed missed having a biological dad.

That was your biggest mistake.

He didn’t change. He was still the same bastard he was eight years ago, using violence and threats with people much weaker than him to get what he wanted. He loved guilting you with your new luxuries. How you now had everything right under your fingertips after you left him to wither away with nothing. He said you owed him. Because you were his daughter and you were supposed to love him unconditionally. And you fell for it every time. He never hurt you like he hurt your mom. A few slaps here and there but nothing to leave a mark to get your mother questioning.

So now you were trapped - trapped in his world and in his life. Using your own money that you actually worked for, little did JJ know, to pay for his bills, his drugs, and sometimes, even his bail.

You didn’t tell anyone about this secret life because you didn’t want anyone to make you feel any more pathetic and weak than you already felt. And most importantly, you didn’t want to hurt your mother by telling her you’ve been supporting the one person she’s been trying to protect you from.

And you were about to risk that by telling someone who probably still wouldn’t care about you even after hearing what you had to say. You are who you are. If JJ didn’t like you now, he shouldn’t like you after telling him your story, anyway.

“No.” You shook your head.

“No?” JJ scoffed. “I’m finally asking you tell me something and you’re saying no?”

“Because you don’t care, JJ! Not really. You think knowing my sob story is going to get you to like me? I don’t need a pity friendship. I am who I am because of shit I’ve had to overcome. And this is me now. So if you don’t like it, then fine. We’ll do it your way and call it quits.” JJ didn’t say anything as you turned around to find somewhere to pass out in hopes of getting morning to come faster.

You found a blanket deep into the cabin and pulled it over your body, shielding yourself away from the world. You hoped the darkness would sweep through your head so you wouldn’t be plagued with torturous thoughts about your past or what’s going to happen to tomorrow. You cried - you cried because even after JJ ripped into your like a zoo animal, he still hated you.

JJ was wrong. You didn’t have everything. Because you didn’t have him.

Surprisingly, the sun rose sooner than you expected it to. Sleeping on the swaying boat wasn’t as awful as you thought it was going to be. In fact, it was kind of peaceful with the stars above you and the sound of moving water right under you.

The morning wasn’t so calming. You were slapped in the face with memories of the night before. Your stomach twisted at the thought of being face to face with JJ again. You knew what you had to do and thinking about it made you sick and depressed.

You pushed yourself up and checked the time on the radio. 8:03. Anxiety instantly flooded through you. You only had two hours to get home to be ready in time to run ‘errands’ with your dad.

You looked out to the back of the boat where JJ was looking into the horizon, probably waiting for your friends to come.

Fresh set of tears pricked your eyes at what’s to come. You loved your friends and you even loved JJ. But you couldn’t stay with the Pogues. You didn’t want to make JJ any more uncomfortable than he already was and you were afraid the constant fighting would push your friends further apart. You didn’t want to be the reason for that.

You pulled the blanket tighter around your shoulders and walked next to JJ. Without a word, you looked out in the same direction he was looking and admired the morning sun.

Surprisingly, JJ was the first one to speak. He looked at you and instantly felt guilty all over again. He tossed and turned all night contemplating on whether he should wake you up to apologize or just wait until morning. He knew he wasn’t being fair. You’ve done nothing but tried to earn his trust since day one. You accepted him for all his flaws and he couldn’t do the same for you. Yeah there was the phone thing and not telling the others what you’re up to, but it wasn’t like you were constantly in his business. If you see him with unexplained bruises, you don’t pester him about it. If he comes back to the Chateau in a pissy mood and blames it on a fight with his dad, you try to make him forget about it with a distraction instead of making him tell you what the fight was about. Why couldn’t he give you the same respect?

Truth was he wasn’t so much worried about his friends getting hurt as he was getting hurt. He liked you more than a friend should which would make your departure from your friends that much more heartbreaking for him. He never felt this way over a girl, let a lone a Kook and he tried so desperately to hate you. But it didn’t work. Instead, it made him feel like the biggest asshole in the world. He wanted to fix what he broke. He told himself he still had time left. His friends weren’t back yet to get him.

“Listen, Y/N -”

“It’s fine, J,” You sniffled. This time you couldn’t stop the tears from running down your cheeks. You tried blinking them away which only made them fall faster. You hated crying in front of people. Your dad always said it was a sign of weakness and you believed him. You wouldn’t be surprised if JJ laughed in your face right now and called you a loser. “It’s done.”

“What are you talking about?”

JJ’s heart physically broke when he saw your tears. He had never seen you cry. Not even out of joy. He couldn’t believe he was the cause of this. That he had made someone as beautiful and as kind as you actually feel bad about herself. He wished he could take back time and start over. He wished he gave her a chance from the beginning. He wished it wasn’t too late.

You both looked up when you heard the engine of the HMS Pogue. In the distance, you could hear your friends laughing and calling out to you, not yet realizing their plan went to shit. You had to make this quick.

“The last thing I want is to get between you and your friends. You don’t have to worry about me hurting anyone, especially Kie. I’ll back off.” You said, making JJ’s brows furrowed in confusion and his heart raced with worry. “I’m giving you what you want. I’ll stay out of your life.”

JJ couldn’t believe it. He couldn’t believe he drove you to do the one thing he actually never wanted you to do. “Wait. You’re leaving?”

You looked JJ in the eyes and he wished you didn’t. Because for the first time, he didn’t see the light behind your eyes or the little crinkle in the corner when you smiled. They were dull and lifeless, making him sick to his stomach.

“I didn’t stutter. Did I?” You used his words from the other night and it felt like a stab in the heart to JJ.

JJ was left speechless which almost never happens. He wished he could say something, anything, to make you feel differently, to tell you he was wrong and sorry. But nothing came out. He could barely breathe.

“Hey you crazy kids,” Kie’s voice pierces the air, jokingly and airy. If only she knew that wasn’t how you were feeling.

“Missing a key or something?” John B joked alongside her.

“You should have called us sooner!” Pope added.

When the boat came closer to yours, they finally got a look at the two of you. They were shocked to see you silently crying and looking like all the life had been sucked out of you. JJ looked mad but they couldn’t tell whether he was mad at you or them or himself.

The three of them went sick with anxiety, suddenly wondering if this was a bad idea. Kie tried to get you make eye contact, but you wouldn’t look at her. You couldn’t look at any of them - afraid you might actually break completely if you did.

“Y/N/N...” Kie said softly.

“You guys okay?” John B asked wearily.

JJ helped Pope tie The Pogue to Heyward’s boat and hopped on right after. Pope traded spots with JJ and came up beside you and stood there awkwardly. He didn’t know what to do either.

You looked up at him before he could come up something probably stupid to ask. “Can you drop me off please?”

Pope glanced back at his friends and nodded. “Uh, sure. John B will probably get you there faster though if you -”

“No, it’s okay,” You said. You didn’t think you’d be able to handle being in an enclosed space with JJ for another minute. You just wanted to go home and forget the past two years ever happened. “I’ll stay here.”

Pope shrugged at his friends when you trudged back into the cabin and curled yourself into the corner. You didn’t know what the next few weeks would be like, but you hoped they go better than the last twenty four hours did.

Summary: Bad first impressions, sharing a bed with your not-crush teammates, and saving a Thief from a Huntress?

A/N Another scrapped piece (ch 3) from my Show Your Teeth story. I scrapped it because it took too long to get to the plot but i do love the character interaction.

Dinner was… odd. For one they weren’t up in Atlas Academy, eating a care package Klein and Weiss sent or causing trouble in the mess hall. They were on the floor of Robyn’s apartment, surrounding a stained and uneven coffee table.

Eating food that was dropped off by a mysterious Thief capable of hacking into Atlas’ network.

And it was peaceful.

With two of the hottest heads in Atlas Academy.

For a moment Fiona wondered if Elm’s rocket launcher knocked her out and this was all a dream. But Robyn dived in and soften her crash. She frowned looking at the Mantle women. She expected bragging or teasing but Robyn made sure she was okay then went back to the Grimm. It was beyond professional, even Winter liked joke around but this was serious for Robyn.

And her elites? In her head she could hear Winter huff and puff about eating evidence. While Winter wasn’t as by-the-book as Vine this was the only clue they had to find the Thief that hacked into Atlas. And as a daughter of one of the richest families she could be poisoned or drugged. May would normally be barking over every little thing, such as Robyn sitting too close or staring too long at Fiona. The little lamb gave her elites worried glances. They were… docile and guilt ridden.

They lived up in Atlas all their lives. Everything they wanted was at their fingertips while Mantle had to scavenge for their scraps. Including the military’s attention. The Thief had to trick them into killing a Grimm!

Fiona sighed and slipped another piece of stuff chicken into her mouth. She kept her worried glances on her teammates and listened to the only conversation. Robyn and Joanna was talking about logistics and timing, the planning it would have taken the Thief to make the food and deliver it.

“They has to be working with someone,” Joanna argued.

“They aren’t,” Robyn and Fiona said at the same time. Robyn blinked surprised. Then a grin spread a crossed her face and she leaned forward. “I knew great minds think alike.” Fiona rolled her eyes at the arrogance but ended up smiling a little at the playfulness. “Do you want to explain it or shall I?”

“You can have the honors. Winter and May respect smart asses that has more smarts than ass.” Fiona said. Joanna covered her mouth, trying not to giggle or choke on her food. The elites sneered and rolled their eyes.

"I like to think I’m well rounded," Robyn said, playfully glaring Fiona. Winter tried to cower that arrogance with a glare but even with May fuming at her side Robyn didn’t back down. She seemed to preen under it, “Snowflake said she’s there was enough Dust to blow the block-”

“False, I said the Dust is potent enough to destroy the block,” Winter said. She held the spool of fire Dust, her Aura causing it to glow bright. “This… is potent enough to heat this building for an entire month. Understand the difference?”

“Several questions, we’ll get back to that,” Robyn said. “The Thief has super Dust,” Fiona noticed Winter frowned at the word but didn’t interrupted, “Strong enough to kill the Grimm but they tricked you three into coming down instead. Someone with that much firepower and skill doesn’t need help.”

“… They needed a distraction but we were too close,” May mumbled under her breath. Then she turned to her partner, “That isn’t SDC Dust is it?”

“No,” Winter said. “It’s far to pure to be from my father’s poisonous company.” She spat, anger raw in her voice. She took a deep breath, she held it out for anyone else to inspect but no one grabbed it. Fiona even saw Robyn and Joanna lean away a bit. Winter licked her lips, trying to frown instead of smile. “It’s not gonna combust. Wrong Dust for that.”

“I don’t wanna burn myself! Scars are hot an all but their still painful,” Robyn said.

Fiona laughed and took it from her leader’s hand, “Good manufactures have a type of stabilizer or… or a sponge,” Her Aura flared bright, trying to pour into the spool. It bright red but didn’t burn to the point where Fiona had to drop it. “Point is there’s other materials to keep handle the excess Aura so people won’t hurt themselves.”

“So it’s safe? Even for the Dust inept?” Joanna asked. The trio from Atlas nodded and Joanna tried it. It was a dull glow. Winter tried to hide the smile but Fiona saw it anyway. Robyn pulled out her Scroll, typing a few things.

“Solo, Dust, Tech, possibly from Mistral,” Robyn listed, “Cook, highly likely a neighbor of mine.”

“How is cooking important?” Winter asked.

Robyn paused and looked at her. “Can you elites cook?” Winter frowned, the light glare trying to hide the blush. Robyn smiled a little but Fiona recognize the bitterness in her eyes. Fiona was the same way when she first met them. “Cooking is a very… independent skill,” Robyn said. Fiona would have used the word survivalist. “It’s also a compassionate and communal skill,” Robyn explained, adding those words to her notes.

Winter paused looking down at the food they were eating. Fiona hoped she was smart enough to link everything together. She wasn’t blind to the horrors her father was committing but she was still Atlesian. Did Winter understand how expensive food was here, that sharing it was putting another life before your own?

Winter grit her teeth, “They’re still a criminal.” Fiona’s heart sank a little. Atlesians…

“Not all crimes are severe-”

“Hacking into Atlas’ network makes them threat!”

Fiona heard the sharp whine before everyone else. Her ears immediately pointed at May as she twitched a little. The noise completely caught Winter off guard, head jerking to look at May. The usually angry women whined again, pitching low into a groan as her eyes tried to fluttered open. She was awake long enough to snuggle into Winter’s shoulder and immediately fell back asleep, mouth open and soft snores coming from her. Fiona grinned and giggled behind her hand. For such an elite she was wore herself on her sleeves.

“I guess we’re finishing this in the morning,” Robyn said with a soft sigh.

She looked conflicted, wanting to relax but her guarded blue eyes wouldn’t stray from the Mantle pair for long.

“You three can take my bed, I’ll crash with Robyn for the night.” Joanna said.

“Three?” Fiona asked slowly.

“These idiots are the most overprotective people we’ve met,” Robyn added with her arms crossed. Fiona nodded in agreement before she could stop and stuck her tongue out when Winter frowned at her. “Would you really let Fiona sleep in the living room in a stranger’s apartment?”

Winter blinked. Fiona could sense the tension fading from the Schnee’s body. Winter ate one last stuffed mushroom. “Huh,” She said. Robyn and Joanna waited for more acknowledgment or appreciation but Winter only closed her eyes. Signaling the end of that conversation.

Robyn scowled and Fiona stepped in to try and pacify her, “Thanks. It’s… it’s been tough but I’m sure it’ll better now that we have a fourth member, right?” She looked at her teammates.

May was drifting into deep sleep and Winter was softly glaring at her partner.

“Ideally,” Winter replied only after Fiona cleared her throat. Winter picked up May and Joanna guided the trio to her room. Fiona tried not to imagine all the hard muscles in Winter’s back and arms as she set May on the bed. She just moved her partner around so effortlessly

“Sorry we don’t have any extra clothes or toothbrushes for you,” Joanna mumbled.

“Oh, I think I have some actually,” Fiona said. She concentrated and flexed her hand, recalling the memories associated with the object.

It was a conversation after a surprise trip out of the Kingdom when a Search and Destroy suddenly became a Search and Rescue. Thankfully it was a success but the elites would not stop complaining about their hair. Or maybe it was a break in the usual routine that pissed them off?

Fiona manage to exude two toothbrushes and… a hair brush with long blue hair. “Damn it, May,” Fiona sighed. “I guess it’s a good thing she’s asleep.”

“She usually doesn’t tire so easily…” Winter said softly. Fiona leaned to the side to see her hand linger through May’s hair as she brushed it out of her face. Fiona started her suspicion count then, even if she had several ones before it. “Maybe Weiss and Klein are right. We need a break.”

“Or a date,” Joanna mumbled too softly for the humans to hear. Fiona’s ears perked up. She silently gasped up at Joanna who tried not to blush and fidget. Joanna cleared her throat, “Maybe you three can go shopping tomorrow? To blend in better.”

“That’s a good idea,” Robyn said walking up, “Every time you three are in Mantle the Thief’s gone out of their way to mess with you.”

“I suppose we can be bait,” Winter said with a nod. She slipped her usual tie loose and undid a few buttons on her shirt and cuffs. Obviously undressing for bed.

Robyn smirked. Fiona could tell another sly remark was on her lips but Joanna quickly shoved her friend out of the room, “Goodnight! Bathroom is on at the end of the hall!” Winter sneered watching the pair retreat to Robyn’s room and quietly closed the door behind them.

Fiona closed her eyes, ears wiggling in their direction, “I wasn’t going to insult them,” she could hear Robyn pout. “In fact I had very nice things to say.”

“Do you really want to get between whatever those elites have-” Joanna cut herself off with a sigh. If Fiona’s answer was ‘Yes, I’d love to get between the pair of sexy elites’ Robyn was probably in the same boat. She could imagine Robyn’s smug face and Joanna’s tired exhaustion. “I will kick you out of your own bed if you don’t behave.”

“Yes, ma’am,” Robyn said with a laugh. The sound made Fiona’s ears flutter and her eyes slowly opened. It was… soft and gentle in a way she didn’t expect for such an arrogant women.

Fiona finally closed the door and when she turned to the bed she saw a nearly nude Winter hovering over May. This time Fiona treated herself to Winter’s sculpted muscles, the old light catching her pale skin and highlighting all the right planes as she breathed and shifted. Fiona only wished she was in her usual night lace. Maybe had her hair down completely down but it gave Fiona odd butterflies knowing it was done by May.

Hearing the door clicked close Winter glanced over her shoulder, revealing a frown, “May still has dirt and rubble on her clothes.” Fiona walked over and May’s shirt and pants. She concentrated. Separating closely touching objects was always harder. She focused on the coat and shirt, the little bits of rocks and dirt. She imagined May out of the designer cloths- standing nude in their dorms.

Her semblance activated, clothes absorbing into her and leaving… May in her a simple bra and boyshorts. Fiona exuded May’s clothes with a relieved sigh. She was never doing that again… not while she was pent up. Fiona tried shaking out all the small rocks before folding them neatly next to Winter’s cloths and finally slipping out of her own thick clothing. Feeling the difference Fiona made a quick list of what shops to drag the pair to in the morning. Hopefully Robyn would have some proper coats for the pair. She closed the lights and finally got in bed.

Fiona didn’t realize she was in the middle of her two elites until she was already settled in. She was sure Winter had a crush on May… if that was true wouldn’t she want to sleep next to her? Winter caught her confused frown through her Scroll, "I’ll be up a little longer. You two can cuddle each other to death.

Fiona smiled and rolled her eyes. May has a bad habit of crushing anything in bed with her to her chest. There was a brief light and the sound of a Glyph being summoned. That finally stirred May enough, but only to turn away from it and drape an arm on Fiona. Winter smiled. A lot more open than usual in the dark and obscured through the hard-light screen. She always looked better when she wasn’t acting like the perfect soldier. The thought stunned the little sheep long enough for Winter to wrap the scarf loosely around her neck.

Fiona closed her eyes and took a deep breath. May always smelled like flowers for some reason, fresh snow. Her ears wiggled happily. “Goodnight, Win. Don’t stay up too late.”

“Goodnight. Don’t let May drool all over the scarf.” Winter said. Fiona giggled and nodded.

She fell asleep quickly, nestling into the stranger’s blankets and pillows with a warm and familiar arm comforting her. Fiona remembers blue eyes watching them and maybe a cool arm drapped over her in the middle of the night.

Then she heard a rush of noise under May’s soft snoring and Winter’s heavy breathing. The brush of thick clothes and solid leather boots. Fiona opened her eyes only to blink them close. May’s warmth and Winter’s cool embrace oddly nice, the smell of fresh snow and flowers nearly lulled her back to sleep.

Then something her ears honed in on. The slow soft creaking of a string and the sudden click of a crossbow woke her up. Her ears straighten, pointing to the door.

“We should wake them up!”

“You heard the Schnee!” Robyn whispered back. “They’ll turn the Thief in!”

“With your help and ta da your in Atlas Academy!” Joanna whispered. Fiona slipped out of her teammate’s arms and crawled over May. Winter flinched and grumbled as May snuggled closer to her but neither of them woke up.

Fiona’s hand hovered over her teammates for a second but… She hadn’t seen May look this peaceful in a long time. She missed the goofy idiot that was excited to enjoy life. And their Aura did take a beating with Elm’s rocket launcher. The little lamb turned away from the pair and quickly threw on her clothes while listen to their host.

Joanna was still trying to talk some sense into Robyn, "They’re being chased by Glynda Goodwitch!" Fiona nearly tripped pulling up her pants. “What makes you think we can help them escape that?”

“She’s Vale’s best Huntress but she’s not a god though… I’d worship her if that’s what it takes.”

“Robyn…” Joanna said with a frustrated sigh. Fiona heard the front door open and the light shined bright under the door for a moment. “I hope you know what your doing.” And then it clicked closed, the light gone with it.

Fiona rushed out through the window, taking the fire escape two steps at a time as she raced for the top. The plan was to follow them on the rooftops but when she finally got to the top, Joanna was frowning down at her but Robyn smirked.

“Great minds-”

“Shut up,” Fiona sighed. Robyn didn’t say another word but Fiona didn’t know if that smug grin and offer to help her up was worse… She did deal with Winter and May. Fiona took the hand and gasped at the strength behind it. She was effortlessly pulled to her feet but Robyn didn’t let go. Instead her Aura flared, engulfing Fiona’s arm. “What’s…”

“How much did you hear. lambchop?”

"I know your trying to save the THief from Glynda fucking Goodwitch," Fiona hissed. It glowed green. Robyn’s grip didn’t let up so Fiona matched it, squeezing tight and that was barely half her strength. She let herself enjoy Robyn’s surprise for a moment. “And are you dumb?! They’ll charge you as an accomplice!”

Robyn sneered and rolled her eyes, “I’m a cop.” Red. Robyn sputtered, blushing hard while Joanna laughed softly. Fiona squeezed harder making it clear Robyn trapped herself with her own game. “Kinda! Mostly… We’re on out two weeks notice!” Green. Fiona relaxed a little. “Stupid semblance… My turn, are you going to stop us?”

“I… I don’t know,” Fiona mumbled. She was half surprised when the Aura let up green. But Robyn wasn’t and her grip finally relaxed so Fiona let hers slacken too. “Yes, having access to the network makes the Thief is dangerous but I think it puts them in danger. Especially if they are alone.”

“Alright. We find them, help them escape then figure things out from there,” Robyn said. She looked at Joanna who nodded then down at Fiona who also agreed. Robyn smiled, “You can let go y’know.”

“Ugh,” Fiona rolled her eyes and pulled her hand free. She didn’t comment on how Robyn’s fingers lingered on her palm and she definitely did not feel a rush of heat flutter in her chest.

Robyn pulled out her Scroll lowering it so Fiona could see it. It was a broadcast from an airship. Goodwitch walked down the street while the Thief tried to dart away. Every time they got close to an alley, dumpsters would move, blocking their path or a car was lifted off the ground. With Goodwitch’s Telekinesis it even slammed into the Thief, forcing them to grab their hood and hold it down to hide their face. Whenever Goodwitch got too close, a wall of fire erupted from the Minstral robes and the Thief was able to put some distance until their dance started again.

“Goodwitch is waiting for our little Thief to tire out,” Robyn said.

“They’re near the street you blew up,” Joanna informed. She smiled at the blush and nervous twitch of Fiona’s ears. She easily jumped across the alley and started running. Robyn flashed a two finger salute and smile before following. Fiona frowned, watching their long ass legs easily make the gap. Fiona stepped back a little, getting a running start and leaping across.

When Robyn saw that she cleared the gap with ease she smirked and sped up. Fiona rolled her eyes. She wasn’t going to be baited into a childish and unfair race. Fiona glanced around for a better path, she saw it in the form of a heating vent and Joanna’s broad shoulders.

“Sorry!” Fiona said with a laugh, vaulting off some random piping and onto the giant’s shoulder. Then onto the vent and finally to the next building. The fall was short, the impact of the metal roof was barely familiar but her body tucked and rolled like she never left Mantle. Fiona took several dashing low strides sliding under some pipes and kicking off of them. Despire Robyn’s long strides Fiona kept pace.

“You should slow down, save your energy for Goodwitch,” Fiona said with a smirk. This time Robyn was the one that rolled her eyes but took the suggestion seriously. The pair did tease Joanna a little, keeping one building a head of her.

“I’m letting Goodwitch whip you with that riding crop,” Joanna mumbled a little winded.

Fiona tried to frown through the blush rising to her cheeks. She was successful for the most part, but the twitching ears gave it away, “Does she really?”

“Your eyes are sharper in the dark. You tell us,” Robyn said waving the pair to the ledge she was on. Robyn handed Fiona a pair of binoculars. The little lamb noticed the police logo and the worn spots. Fiona saw the bright purple darting around a few streets down, then a surge of fire.

Through the binoculars she saw the Thief almost stumble to the ground, the gravity Dust in their robes flickering. This time Goodwitch tore up the road, shards of debris making a wall. They tried dashing up it, gravity leveling their legs against the uneven vertical surface but it was a Telekinetic surface. It moved under Goodwitch’s command, trying to wrap around them but it was like grasping water. The Thief was always slipping out and moving, but the Dust was either running out or their Aura was finally reaching its limit.

“This would be a lot easier with May,” Fiona said. Robyn nodded, silently offering Fiona a vaulting point. Fiona gave her a light frown but used it to get to the next building, they’ll be time to argue later.

kso, i’m going to be honest. shanley had an extremely normal and happy childhood. her parents met in high school, fell in love and were married after graduating college. her father ( theodore evans / think sandy cohen from the oc ) is an executive vice president of an insurance company while her mother ( clara evans / think kristina braverman from parenthood ) is a stay-at-home mom. born and raised in new york city. she has an older sister ( haddie evans / think prue halliwell from charmed ) who is three years older, she has an extremely close relationship with her. shanley is obsessed with family, tbh. she tells them just about everything. they had dinner together every night and talk about their days, have inside jokes, go on family vacations every summer ( before sclub summers ). overall, her parents are very loving and supportive, wanting only the best for their daughters. in high school, shanley was convinced she wasn’t like other girls *pUkeS*. she was very outgoing. like she literally made friends with anyone and everyone. a friendly face; probably the student who showed the new students around. it was rare to see shanley upset or rude to anyone unless she was defending someone. she had good grades (our shanny was v advanced), kind of a teacher’s pet but like still got her seat moved or sent to the hallway because she wouldn’t stop talking. i almost made her superlative most likely to say something stupid because like that’s her too. she was on the yearbook committee, played volleyball, and was a part of the student government. if she wasn’t at school or home, you would most likely find her with arlo, which whew. a story there. when it came to the sclub, she spent whatever free time she had left with them. encouraging all the trouble; shanley will do ANYTHING you tell her to and probably doesn’t think about it. don’t give her dumbass a dare because she will do it. sorry , i forgot what i was going to say; let’s change topics. summary: Growing up scares the both of you. Falling in love is scarier. You don’t want to do either.

a/n: Hi, guys! Long time, no see! This is a little snippet from something that I have been working on. I hope you like and sorry for the wait. Love you all!

The shrill of cicadas in the distance. The gentle rustling of the leaves in the trees that lined the side of the road. The ticking of bike wheels as you zoomed down the street. This was what you had been waiting on all year. These were the conspicuous sounds of summer. And with summer came Jeon Jungkook.

Every year ever since you could remember, Jeon Jungkook would come to this little beach town to visit his grandparents. You met him when he was five and you were six at the bustling market in the heart of town. Summer always brought a wave of tourists, and they were swarming the narrow walkways of the market, weaving between the kiosks with their expensive cameras, cargo shorts, and open-toed shoes.

Little Jungkook lost his grandfather in the crowd, and you were the only one who noticed. Walking around the market alone was a habit of yours even at that age. Your parents rarely worried because they knew how strikingly independent you were and that you always knew your way back to them. Jungkook’s grandfather was well-known in the town since he was a cherry farmer – and cherries were a big part of the town’s culture and economy – and you returned Jungkook to the cherry stand that he wandered from, holding his hand that was sticky with sweat and cherry residue.

“What’s your name?” he asked you. You noticed that he had a large band-aid plastered on his right knee. Later, you would quickly learn that the sole reason why his grandparents kept a first-aid kit was for their clumsy grandson’s summer visits.

“Y/N. What’s yours?” You already knew his name because his grandmother was friends with your mom and the older woman talked about him all the time.

“Jungkook.” The redness in his face was slowly dissipating now that he was back at his grandfather’s side.

“Do you want to play with me?”

His eyes were already large, but they doubled in size. You could tell that he didn’t talk much, but you thought that he was kind of adorable and wanted to see more of him. “Um, okay,” he said.

And that was the start of your friendship.

Now, you biked as fast as you could down the street from school, skillfully weaving through the crowd as you passed through the market and never slowing down until you reached the outskirts where the Jeon cherry farm was. School in the city dismissed for summer a week earlier and Jungkook arrived three days ago. It was torturous to know that he was here but not be able to see him until your school released for the year. You had been restless all day, chewing on the eraser of your pencil and watching the clock, bouncing your leg and unable to focus on the summer readings that Mrs. Kim was assigning. As soon as the bell rang, you snatched your backpack and rushed out to where you had your bike locked at the back of the school.

As you biked like a maniac, still in your uniform, the only thing on your mind was your best friend.

He was already outside, sitting on the porch with his feet up on the railing, drinking a cold glass of cherry lemonade. You were meters away, but a smile still broke out on your face. “Jeon Jungkook!” you shouted, huffing your way up the hill.

He stood up and shielded his eyes from the sun with a hand, squinting out at you. “Y/N?”

You didn’t bother coming to a complete stop before you were leaping off the bike. Jungkook rushed down the porch steps, his arms open and expecting a hug. He didn’t think you were going to tackle him until you did.

“Jeez,” he said, rubbing the back of his head and getting up from the ground. “I didn’t think you missed me that much.”

There were grass stains on your skirt now, but you didn’t care. Jeon Jungkook was back.

“I don’t. I just got carried away,” you said nonchalantly, picking at blades of grass that were stuck to your knees. But the way your heart was beating said otherwise. It was probably just from the exertion of biking.

He reached out for your hand and pulled you up, mumbling, “You’re wearing a skirt, act like it.”

You stood up, clapping your hands to get the dirt off your palms, but when you glanced up to get a look at him, you frowned and said, “What the hell. Who are you?”

The boy standing before you was Jungkook, but not. He was a replica of the boy that you ran around with last summer, but everything was different. This new Jungkook was taller, broader. His arms were veiny and thick like ropes, and he was several inches taller than you.

For a long time, you and Jungkook were the same size and height. You had the body of a twelve-year-old boy for years, arms and legs like sticks and non-existent breasts. While Jungkook was away becoming whoever that was standing before you now, you were still wearing his hand-me-down clothes. You could still fit sixteen-year-old Jungkook’s soft, worn-out jeans. You couldn’t imagine fitting any of the new, seventeen-year-old Jungkook’s pants. His thighs were already bursting in the shorts he was wearing. It was like he left at the end of the summer last year and returned wearing a brand-new body. Like he shed his old skin and pulled on a new one. He even had a helix piercing in his ear, something your parents would never allow you to have as long as you lived under their roof.

A weird jealousy pricked at you. Him coming back looking like a man with a trendy ear piercing while you still looked like you was a little unfair. Like he was growing up without you.

Jungkook smiled as you frowned, and he did a dramatic 360 degree turn. “You like?”

“Ew, no way. You look like a gross comic book character.”

“I guess that’s the closest thing to a compliment that I’ll get from you.” He hooked his thumbs into the front pockets of his shorts. His skin was already golden with a tan. “Do you want to come inside? Gran made some lemonade.”

As if on cue, his grandmother poked her head out from behind the screen door. A smile spread across his face, easy and smooth like butter. “Y/N! I knew you wouldn’t be able to stay away for very long. Come in!”

The house was decades old. It had been in Jungkook’s family for generations, but his father broke the mold and decided to venture off to the city for college instead of staying behind to inherit the cherry farm. This must’ve broken Jungkook’s grandfather’s heart, but he hid it well with his constant upkeep of the place. He was on a ladder now, hammering away at the siding of the house. He waved amiably when Jungkook shouted over the banging that you were here.

Everything in and on the house creaked or groaned or whined. The porch steps when you and Jungkook made your way up it, the screen door when his grandmother held it open for you, the wooden floors in the kitchen. The house was always undeniably clean, and the smell of cherries and honey hovered on everything. If you stayed for too long, the smell would stick to your clothes. Little crystal trinkets lined the windowsills in the kitchen, so when the sunlight hit them just right, tiny rainbows sparkled along the walls.

Gran was pouring you a cold glass of cherry lemonade, the corners of her mouth turned up in a perpetual smile. “Our Jungkookie has grown well, hasn’t he?”

For some reason, your ears grew hot. You rubbed the back of your warm neck. You could feel Jungkook’s eyes on you. “I wouldn’t say that he grew well, but he grew.”

Gran giggled and handed you the glass. “What’s the adventure for today, kids?”

You gulped down the chilled drink. You hadn’t realized how thirsty you were.

“We’ll go wherever the wind takes us,” Jungkook said easily, just like a boy from the city would.

You gasped for air after draining your glass in one breath. Cherry lemonade could start world peace.

For a while, you and Jungkook lingered on the front porch, your feet up with cool condensation running down the sides of your glasses, listening to his grandfather fight with the loose siding of the old house and the wind run its refreshing fingers through the dozens of trees that made up a majority of your town. Easy conversation made its way between the both of you while the windchimes hanging above tinkled pleasantly. He was catching you up about life and school in the city, and he listened to you lament about how senior year at the local high school was equal parts grueling and mind-numbing. At one point you were nervous that this new Jungkook was more content with sitting on the porch and talking rather than going out and adventure until he said, “Enough sitting here like a couple of old birds, you wanna go out and do something?”

With a smile, you nodded.

Gran waved the both of you off with a wicker basket of fruit and “something special” to send you off on your adventure. You hooked the basket on one handlebar of your bike, and Jungkook hopped on his own bike and then the both of you were speeding down the hill the led to the road. You stuck your legs out and hollered out in glee as gravity pulled your bike at stomach-flipping speed, and for a second you were genuinely afraid that once you hit the bottom, you would be tossed off (it happened once or twice before), but then your tires hit the road and you exhaled in relief. Jungkook was pedaling in front of you, and the wind tossed his laughter behind him.

Summer was your favorite time of year without a doubt.

A sigh fell from my lips as I tossed my head back, eyes squeezing shut as I clenched and unclenched my hands. I’d been studying for the past six hours, no breaks besides the bathroom and the one time four and a half hours ago where I’d gotten up to get a cup of coffee and toast. Now, the sun was completely gone and my stomach was full-on screaming at me and begging for food. Not only that, I hadn’t spoken to my best friend for the two and a half days. We lived on two different sides of the world, time differences clashed immensely, yet our bond was that I thought couldn’t be broken. We understood and respected each other in everything that the other did, at least I did anyway. So, of course, after explaining that I, in fact, could not clear enough of my schedule to go visit his country and finally meet him, after almost 3 years of virtual long-distance friendship, I thought that he’d understand. Especially due to the circumstances of needing to raise extra money for my next tuition payment and living expenses, as he’s an independent living college student, too. But, for some unknown reason, he snapped at me. Complaining about how frustrating it is to keep up our friendship because we can’t ever meet because of me. After he’d ranted, he stated that we should just stop talking and hung up. After trying to reach out to him for a day, calling and texting whenever I got the chance between classes, I gave up. It wasn’t my fault that he felt this way, it also wasn’t my fault that I had to work and survive. It wasn’t like he ever offered to come here or planned a way for us to meetup where it could be easy on both of us. Another sigh left my lips as I sat back straight and stared at my laptop. Finals were just a few days away and I needed to study, I needed to stay in the honors club to get the scholarship. I didn’t have time to dwell on anything other than passing my exams.

Walking out of my last class, a smile graced my lips as I started my way back home. Finals were done, and it was time to relax and watch Netflix with some takeout. But, of course, what were friends for if they didn’t ruin your plans of a date with yourself with an idea as dumb as a party. “Nope. I’m tired of being around people. I just wanna rest for at least a week before partying.” I grumbled, rolling my eyes at the whine that left the girl next to me. “Come on!” She whined, “Why are you always at home? Stop being antisocial and let loose.” I groaned, shaking my head. I didn’t like being around a lot of people, especially at once. I also didn’t enjoy talking to many people, it made me uncomfortable. But, of course, I just had to befriend an overly extroverted girl. I inwardly groaned as she grabbed my hand and continued her whining. “Okay, fine! Just get off.” I caved, rolling my eyes as I watched her dance happily. “I’m only staying for as long as I can take.” A roll of her eyes was my response because she knew that meant that I would probably only stay for a solid hour before making a break to the comfort of my own home, but she also knew that that condition was the only way she’d get me to go even remotely close to whatever party she was planning on forcing me to.

It hadn’t even been a full half hour and I was already done, ready to go home. The heels on my feet were starting to hurt and the thigh high, bodycon dress was attracting too much unwanted attention for me to feel even remotely comfortable. It was boring and too loud. Like all parties. I’d lost my friend in the crowd a good five minutes post arriving, and I was over it. Why come to a party to be alone and unhappy when I could be at home to be alone while I happily eat takeout? So, I left with a simple text sent to her to let her know I was going to be home and to call if she needed me. Pulling my keys from my crossbody bag, I got in my car and took my ass home, picking up enough take out to last me a few days of kermitting away my life for a few days. I wasn’t expecting a call for another few hours, but when I looked at the screen of my phone, I got an even bigger shock. “What’s he calling for?” I muttered, glancing away from the road for a second to quickly grab the vibrating device. “Hello?” I rose an eyebrow, as if he could see me. “Y/N, hey, babydoll.” The rasp and slur of his voice made me roll my eyes. “Why are you calling me, Jungkook?” The irritation in my voice was obvious, thickly wrapping itself into the drawl of my words. “I just wanted to talk. What, am I not able to call my beautiful best friend?” He questions, a smile evident in his teasing tone. “Actually, no, you aren’t. Because I recall, the last time we spoke you stating to not wanting to continue, and I quote, “whatever kind irrelevant bullshit we have going on”. So, no, you can’t call your ‘best friend’ go deal with your relevant friendships.” I hissed, venom pouring from every single word that left my glossed lips before I hung up. I felt my heart clench as I dropped my phone back into the cup holder, but I ignored it. I wasn’t going to let him think that he could treat anyway that he wanted. But, another series of vibrations began, and I swiped without much thought until I heard his whiny words. “Show me your face. I want to see your face so I can apologize properly.” He muttered, trailing off in a soft mumble of Korean that I didn’t completely understand. Furrowing my eyebrows, I moved the phone sit in my free left hand as I drove with right. Glancing to the screen for a split second, I found a frowning Jungkook facing the screen. His hair was messy, like he’d just woke up, and his upper was covered with a basic black t-shirt. “Oh, you look gorgeous. Did you go somewhere? Your makeup’s done super pretty.” He grinned, leaning closer as I rolled my eyes. “I went to a party.” “A party? But you hate being around a lot of people?” Sighing, I glanced at the screen again, only to see that he’d moved closer and let her face twist in confusion. “What did you want, Jungkook? I’m driving.” I grumbled, slowing a red light before making a right onto my street. “Oh, shit! I didn’t know. Um...call me when you get home? It’s important, but not enough to have you risking your life.” I nodded, not focusing much on the call, only simply tossing my phone back into the cup holder when I heard the facetime end.

Making my way into my apartment, I set some of the food on the living room table and put the rest away before making my way to my room. It was like I was on autopilot, because as soon as I entered to room, I propped the phone against my vanity mirror and called him as I sat down to undo my earlier works. When he answered, I had just tied my hair up and was taking off my accessories. “Wow, you look gorgeous.” Looking to him on the screen, I rolled my eyes. “What did you want to talk to me about?” I spoke, voice void of emotion as I started to wipe my face of the heavier makeup that’s covering it. A soft sigh leaves him before it goes silent, causing me to look to him as he downs a bottle of water. “I want to be as awake as I can,” he breaths as he pulls away the empty bottle. Nodding, I go back to what I was doing before another sigh breaks through. “Okay, so...I wanted to say sorry for how I spoke to you the other day. I know it’s no excuse, but I’ve been stressed, okay? Everything had been going wrong for the past couple of weeks, and I was studying for exams. I know how much you have to work to survive and how difficult you have it, and... I don’t know, I’m just sorry. Really, really sorry. I missed you so fucking much over the past few days, like it almost physically hurt. It was like arguing with my soulmate, seriously.” He ranted, sincerity heavy in his tone. Looking down, I smiled softly as I found him staring at the screen, nervously nibbling at his bottom lip. “I know...It just hurt a lot, you know. It sounded extremely genuine when you were ranting, you’d even raised your voice. But, then you said that you were doubting our friendship...and called it irrelevant bullshit...I don’t know, it was like a literally felt my heart break at that.” I muttered, looking back at my reflection to avoid looking at him. Wiping away the rest of my visible makeup, I stood and went to my dresser. Pulling out a pair of pajama shorts and a crop top, I slipped off my dress. My back was to the phone, the only thing of my body being viewable being my lace underwear clad bottom and bare back. “Oh! I was thinking, Y/N, that I cou-” at his pause, I turned and looked over my shoulder after slipping on the shirt. “Yeah?” Slipping into the shorts, I turned and went back to grab my phone and take it to the bathroom. “Um...I, uh...I was thinking that I could, uh, maybe go and visit you...instead of you coming here.” Looking to him with wide, I tilted my head as I set the phone down against some of the jars that adorned the counter tops. “Why?” “Because, you’re busy with things there, while I have nothing to do. I don’t work a regular job, all my income comes from selling stuff online and vlogging so I’d get paid for posting about my trip, and I really want to meet you in person. I wasn’t joking about wanting to squeeze your ass myself.” He laughed, running a hand through his hair as he watched me wash my face.

I was sitting at my couch leaned back, laptop on my coffee table and Jungkook’s face wide on the screen. We’d both switched over from our phones a while ago, choosing to eat together. “I’m serious! Out of all of your friends you’ve showed me, I would most likely get with you! Like, they’re cute, but I think you’re better looking, Jungkook.” I laughed, watching as he ran a hand through his hair. “Well, thank you. I appreciate it. Usually people say that Yugyeom or Jaehyun are the better-looking ones.” I shook my head, “Just stating my opinion.”

It was hours later, having switched to a phone call as I laid in my bed. Jungkook sitting at his desk. Stretching softly, a soft moan past through my lips with a whimper following right after as I settled back in my spot. Jungkook’s breath hitched, his side of the line going dead silent and still, even his keyboard smashing halted. “Y/N... what the hell was that?” He grumbled, voice sounding as though his jaw was clenched. “I stretched. Why?” I muttered softly, shut eyes snapping open when he let out a deep groan. “You can’t make sounds like that and then act innocent, Y/N. I’m still a dude who’s attracted to you, no matter how far in the friendzone I know I am.” He grunted, running a hand through his hair with a hair. “What soun-oh! I’m sorry...I didn’t know it sounded like that...wait-did that turn you on?” I laughed teasingly, only for him to hum in confirmation. At that, a shiver ran down my spine, a soft tingle hitting between my legs. “How turned on are you?” I asked softly, wide awake now. “Y/N what are you doing?” He groans, his breathing picking up in the slightest. “Asking a question...I just want to know how turned on it got you, Kookie...” A smirk graced my lips as his barely audible whine, the tingle hitting my center again. “Shit...um...I’m getting hard with you talking like this, Y/N.” His voice was rough, deepening from its normal base. “That was good.” He finally spoke, making me chuckle sleepily. “Oh shit, what time is it?” he grumbled, chuckling as I slurred the time of 1:30AM. “Get some sleep, baby. I’ll call you when you wake up.” “Okay...talk to you later.”

Waking up with a groan, I sat up and sighed. I’d fallen asleep without cleaning myself off and now I felt icky. Sighing, I sat up and started towards the bathroom. Taking quick, hot shower and washing my hair, I stepped out and dried myself off. Staring at my reflection in the bathroom mirror, I eyed my neck. My mind wandering off into thought of how the skin would look marked with dark love bites. A shiver moved down my spine as I sighed, turning and walking out of the bathroom. Reaching my bed, I grabbed my phone and hit Jungkook’s number to facetime him. Setting it up against my vanity mirror, as I grabbed underwear from the dresser. Moving towards my closet, and grabbing a pair of blue skinny jeans and a plain white t-shirt before quickly getting dressed. “Y/N?” I heard his familiar voice call out, making me turn my head towards the vanity. A smile graced my lips as I strutted over to the phone. “Hey there, Kookie.” The clench of his jaw made me chuckle softly, “Stop that…” He grumbled, glancing up above his phone. “Stop what?” Feigning innocence, I smirked and uncovered my hair. My curls fell over my shoulders, their spirals heavy with moisture. “You know what…” He grunted, running a hand through his hair as he looked back to the screen. “Damn, your hair looks so pretty. I wonder how pretty it’d be with my fingers in it while you choke on my di-” A gasp left my lips as I watched him smirk at me. “Stop! Aren’t your friends around?” A shrug of his shoulders made me shake my head, starting to do my hair.

My hair had been done for a while now, falling flat on my back and over my shoulders. I’d done my makeup, ignoring Jungkook’s suggestions of going heavy and sticking to my usual natural look. “I can’t wait to see you in person. I bet you look even more flawless in real life.” Chuckling shyly at his words, I shook my head and pulled off my headband. “Are you doing anything tonight?” I asked softly, ignoring the fact the sun was high up in the sky where I was due to it only just hitting noon. “I don’t know… I ordered my tickets this morning, while you were sleeping, so I’m going in like a week. So, that’s off my list. Honestly, it’s whatever the guys want to do because I really just want to stay home and talk to you, or watch t.v with takeout and some soju.” I laughed softly as he ran a hand down his face. “Awwe, you like talking to me?” My tone was teasing, almost mocking. “Obviously, if I didn’t I wouldn’t have been friends with you for so long.” His chuckle made me smile. “Keep talking like that and I’ll deny you access to my apartment when you get here.” “So you’re just gonna have me on the streets?” Nodding, I laughed as he rolled his eyes. Looking up over his phone, the sound of one of his friends speaking has him nodding in response. My eyes traced his neck and jawline, falling to his covered chest and eyeing his shirt. He’d changed since before, having switched to a simple black button-down shirt. A sigh left his lips as he looked back to me and smiled. “They want to go to some party.” He grunted, nodding at something his friend said before standing. “What’re you wearing? I wanna see.” I chuckled as he rose an eyebrow teasingly and smirked. Then the screen flipped and I saw his thighs and lower. I watched as his feet shuffled, passing by multiple other sets of feet before he stopped and lifted his phone up. The reflection of his form made me chuckle, eyeing him. His legs and thick thighs were hugged hugged by a pair of black, knee-ripped skinny jeans, shirt tucked into the waistband of his pants and black belt pulling it together. “I don’t know which shoes to wear yet, but Yugyeom keeps suggesting a pair of dress shoes but I don’t know.” “Doc Martins, for sure.” The chuckle and nod that came from him as he turned the camera back to himself. “You’re so cute...okay, I’ll call you later.” “Okay, baby. Text me when you get home.” The smirk that pulled at his lips made me chuckle. “Alright, I will. Talk to you later, babygirl.”

A week later, I was driving to the airport to pick him up. Music was blasting as I rushed down the highway, lips moving on their own accord as they sang along to the track playing. But it stopped, making my head snap to my phone. A loud ringing replaced to the previous music, glancing to the phone again, I chuckled. Hitting the phone button on my steering wheel, I muttered a greeting as I turned off of the highway. “Where are you? I just got off the plane.” An excited smile pulled at my lips as I drove through the airport parking lot towards a parking space. “I’m almost there, just looking for a parking spot. What’s your gate again?” I quickly asked as I spotted a space.

Rushing through the bodies of people, my eyes jumped around frantically in search of the familiar boy. When my eyes finally landed on him, I froze in place. He was simply standing against one of the walls while looking at his phone, yet he looked so perfect. I guess he felt my eyes because he looked up and around before finding my still frozen form. The smile that graced his lips made me feel fuzzy inside, heat forming in my stomach and rising up to my ears. I watched as he put his phone away and grabbed his luggage before making his way to me. I wanted to move, really, but I couldn’t. My legs felt like jelly, yet they were pasted to the floor like a statue. My nerves were going crazy, but I couldn’t move to shake them off. Until he reached me. “Y/N,” he breathed, a smile pulling at his lips in way that made my stomach flip. “J-Jungkook... “ My voice was a whisper, but that was all it took for him to wrap his arms around my smaller form. “Oh you’re so much smaller than I thought.” He grumbled, pushing his face in my hair as I slowly wrapped my arms around him.

We stayed like that for a while, just holding each other and taking in the others presence. Finally, I pulled away slightly and looked up at him. “Hey,” I breathed. A smile spread onto his face again as he straightened up, “Hey.”

Hey guys! Sorry this took a lot longer than I hoped... I was sick and I didn't take care of myself properly and I ended up in the hospital for being reckless but I'm okay now and I've learned my lesson too :) I guess that with work and college everything just gets in the way.

You remember a time when your parents were the best there ever was. You supposed most kids feel the exact same way about their parents, some even holding to that feeling till they grow old.

You were little, naïve and ignorant to the outside world; but even as a kid, you were pretty much independent.

Your days were a well-known routine. You’ll wake up, have breakfast, get home-schooled by mom till noon, have lunch with them before they left for the day, play till they came back late at night, get surprised with expensive presents as soon as they got back.

They were good parents back then, because you didn’t know. You didn’t know what they were doing when they got out, or from where did the presents came, or that pretty jewelry your mom definitely didn’t have when she left before, or those stains in their clothes… You never really asked any questions, but how could you? You were an innocent child.

Things started to get odd in ‘middle school’, after you got your quirk (which was definitely a surprise, because your dad was quirkless and your mom only managed to move some objects a bit, so you thought you wouldn’t be getting one).

You asked to go to school like normal kids instead of being home schooled. The answer came quick: ‘absolutely not’.

It didn’t matter how much you cried, kicked and screamed at the time, their cold eyes as they gave you the same answer never changed.

It made no sense, and you simply couldn’t understand it. What was so wrong about school? Getting to know kids your age? Make friends?

It was only then that you started to notice some odd behaviors. Before that you didn’t seem to notice that you were barely allowed to go outside to begin with, or that you weren’t allowed to talk to your own neighbors unless it was strictly necessary, or that you were strictly prohibited to let anyone inside the house, or that you could only order food from certain places.

While your parents were masterly dodging your incessant questions the presents and expensive stuff kept coming, as the messy state your parents returned home in.

It was only when you were all seating in the living room, watching the news on T.V. that something clicked.

‘The pair of self-proclaimed ‘wizards’ did it again. Yesterday night they managed to steal several art pieces valued in ¥ 10.596.026, while killing 4 guards in the process. Pro Hero n°5 Edgeshot got to the scene, but all attempts to stop the couple of villains were useless due to Genkaku Warlock’s quirk: Mind Manipulation. Till the day it seems impossible to stop this two villains’

“I hope they catch them” You said, eyes glued at both masked photos of the villains. You’ve heard of them, how could you not? They were everywhere and they seemed to be pretty unstoppable. No hero has ever landed a strike on them yet, not even a finger.

You knew it was all thank to the guy’s quirk. Mind Manipulation. From what you’ve heard, he could make you see things that weren’t there, hear nonexistent noises, feel ghost touches.

You imagined it was definitely hard for heroes, and so easy for them.

Your parents didn’t say a word regarding your comment.

“Maybe All Might could defeat them” You said again.

“He can’t” Your father’s voice was ice cold and downright terrifying. You’ve never heard that tone of voice before coming from his mouth.

You shut your mouth, and didn’t dare to turn to him.

After that, it started as an experiment. Just so you could shake those chills out of your body, just so you could erase that suspicion.

You started to ‘fangirl’ over heroes (thing you never did before, probably because you lived practically trapped in the apartment). You started talking about them with your parents, commenting about their good deeds, admiring their achievements.

It was not until you told them that you wanted to be a hero that they exploded.

You could still hear their screams from that they in your head. All those offences towards the heroes, the utter hate in their eyes, the rage in their voices. How they explained to you that heroes were the worst type of scum in the universe.

That day they made you promise that you’ll never be a hero.

And that day they also gave you the answer you wanted, but the one you were desperately wishing it wasn’t true.

It took some digging, but you managed to match all the dots and figure it out.

The final and crucial clue was realizing that besides having your mother’s quirk, you did have your father’s as well. With the difference that you needed to touch someone to make it work unlike him.

So, you confronted them, and they accepted it without even flinching.

After that you realized that, while you knew your parents loved you, they were much more interested in keeping you under their control than anything else.

Your life was shit after that, and the routine changed. You’ll wake up, have breakfast alone, study on your own, have lunch alone, watch your parents leave, watch them in the news as they mercilessly destroyed everything in their path… killing innocents, stealing stuff, destroying homes… all that while the heroes’ desperate attempts went by practically unnoticed since they were completely useless.

Still, one thing didn’t make sense yet.

A night when they returned, you asked them.

“You can easily do all the things you do without hurting or killing anyone. So, why do you?”

That answer was the one that made you decide.

“Because it’s way more fun this way” Was what you father said, as he smiled wickedly along with your mom.

You turned on your heels and went straight to your room without even reacting to what they said, with your mind set on your goal.

Bakugou grunted again and muttered a low curse. You couldn’t help but admire his insistence. He spent the whole night trying to get out of those cuffs. He didn’t even blink an eye.

You wouldn’t have either, if it wasn’t for the stupid headache that was threatening to make you go insane. It was so strong that it did make you faint several times through the curse of the night.

“Dammit!” Bakugou cursed again, shaking his boxed hands as hard as he could.

You blinked a bit, adjusting your sight. There were bright yellow lights coming through the holes of the windows, meaning it was morning already.

The sounds of sudden steps coming from the hall made Bakugou stop. You both turned to the door and saw as it opened.

“Rise and shine, sleeping beauties!” Magne said getting inside the room as most of them followed.

“Anyone had a sudden change of heart while sleeping?” Spinner asked, taking a booth.

“Fuck you” Bakugou spat, glaring daggers at both of them.

“Someone’s grumpy in the mornings” Dabi lazily said as he got in the room, followed by Shigaraki. Bakugou growled at him.

“So” Shigaraki said. “Any of you thought of what I proposed yesterday?”

“Yeah” Bakugou said and you were actually surprised that some of the villains looked hopeful. “I thought that you need to shove your proposition up your ass” Some of the villains groaned at this.

“I’m tired of this freaking kid! I wanna be like him!” Twice exclaimed.

Shigaraki sighed.

“Whatever, you’re gonna have more time to think about it anyway. Today’s moving day”

“Moving day?” Magne asked. “Didn’t you say we can go outside carelessly because we could be seen? How are we supposed to move and go by unnoticed? Plus I bet this two wouldn’t exactly be quiet about it”

“There’s Kurogiri for that, you idiot” Shigaraki said. “We already have the location, so that won’t be a problem. Go pack your stuff. Once we’re done we’ll be moving this two first” He said pointing the two. “Twice go see if you can give them a drink or something, we’re still recruiting them even if they’re just brats”

“Why is it always me!? Sure thing!” And Twice left the room.

“Do I have to repeat everything I say? Move it! If you don’t have anything to pack then help move other stuff”

You eyes were glued to the floor as you listened everyone leave, careful not to make eye contact with any of them.

As soon as the door was closed, Bakugou spoke.

“We need to get the hell out of here before they move us” He said, once again trying to shake off his restrains.

“Will that make a difference?” You couldn’t help but ask. What was the difference between escaping this place or the next one?

“Yes, there is” Bakugou said, and you could almost feel how he bit back a ‘you idiot’ since apparently your question was stupid enough. “If they feel the need to move means that this location isn’t safe enough for them, or that it can be compromised. They probably look for a safest location last night. They already know that we’re not willing to accept their offer, so there’s also a chance that this new place can contain us better. That’s why we need to escape from here”

You blinked in surprise at his reasoning. He was completely right and it shocked you how quick he analyzed the situation. But then again, he technically was the best first year student from UA.

“I can’t use my quirk with this on my head” You said, even if he probably was already aware of that.

“We need to figure something out” He said, since he couldn’t use his quirk either. “Fuck!” He cursed out loud.

The door opened and you both snapped your heads towards it.

Twice walked in, holding two water bottles as he was being followed by Dabi.

Dabi gave a quick glance at you both before grabbing one of the bottles.

“Take care of him” Dabi ordered, pointing at Bakugou with his head.

“Okay! Me again? No way! You do it!” Twice whined.

“Yeah, no thanks. I don’t feel like getting spit all over me”

Twice whined again a but resigned and turned to Bakugou that was currently screaming ‘fucking coward’ at Dabi.

Your eyes were glued to the ground again. Of all the villains here, he was the one you’d rather not see. It pissed you off just to acknowledge his presence before.

How he used your drawback to defeat you, how he was practically playing with you while you battled, how he abducted you even though you already said you weren’t interested in whatever they got to offer.

He really was a coward.

‘I could spit on you if I wanted to, too’ You couldn’t help but think, not that you’ll do it though.

Even if you weren’t looking up, you saw his feet stopping right in front of you.

You felt him crouch down to your level and once he got comfortable enough you were able to see how he started to open the water bottle to then bring it close to your mouth.

You were quick to dodge him.

He let out a short, dry chuckle at your actions.

“I thought you were done playing difficult” he said, but you were pointedly ignoring him while looking away, your lips as far as they could from the bottle.

You focused your gaze on Bakugou for a moment (that was also giving that other villain one hell of a bad time by avoiding to drink) until you felt his fingers grab your chin and make you look at him.

“Hey! Get your hands off her you crusty bastard!” Bakugou shouted.

Dabi shot him a brief irritated look before turning to you, still holding your chin in place.

When his aquamarine orbs met yours, you fought back a shiver out of fear.

He could easily burn your face up just like he did with Bakugou’s nape anyways. Still, you refused to show him that.

Instead, you frowned and glared at him.

“You better drink this” He said, and made a motion attempting to make you drink again.

“I’m not thirsty” You snarled, trying to get free of his hold.

You felt him tighten up his grip and for a moment you could almost see yourself with a giant burnt scar in your face.

“This is all you’ll be getting till we get at our new location, so you better take it” He said again.

Your only response was to press your lips tightly against the other.

A smirk grew from the corner of his lips, as he slowly released his hold on your chin.

“It’s gonna be fun to have you till you agree to join us” Dabi said to you as he got up. “C’mon Twice, let’s go” He said.

“But he hasn't drink anything yet! About damn time!” A now soaked wet Twice said, holding a nearly empty bottle.

“Doesn’t matter” Dabi said, walking towards the door before stopping one last time to look at you “They aren’t thirsty anyways” He said and then left, followed by Twice.

“I wish I could kill those bastards” Bakugou growled.

“That makes two of us” You honestly said.

“We need to get outta here” He said as he tried once again to get free form his restrains. “You need to try to use your quirk”

You gazed at him nervously because you knew it’ll take a miracle to make your quirk useful under the conditions, but you nodded anyways. He was right, you needed to get the heck away from here before you were moved.

You focused your eyes on your hands, and fought against the agonizing headache as you tried to make your quirk work.

It’s been hours.

The lack of light coming from the wholes of the windows proved that it was nighttime already, and also the fact that a small part of you was regretting deeply not taking even a sip of water before.

You were thirsty, hungry, tired but overall physically fatigued and in pain. You were dizzy due to the headache, and even if after long hours you managed to create tiny and useless purple blasts from your hands you knew for sure that if you managed to get free now you wouldn’t even be able to walk.

“We don’t have much time less” Bakugou said, obviously impatient and irritated. “Damn it!” He said looking at the now dented box that was holding his hands. Even if he managed to dent it pretty bad, he still couldn't open it. “How you doing?” He asked rushedly.

“I-I still can’t…!” You stuttered, trying to focus your dizzy sight at another of the many blasts that just like the others was too tiny and too thin that it broke into a million pieces instantly to then vaporize into nothing.

Bakugou began muttering a curse that was cut short by the door suddenly opening.

You could see as Bakugou smashed the box one more time against his chair while the villains weren't focusing on you two just yet, and then you heard it.

It was so faint that you almost thought you were hallucinating it due to the headache.

“Got it”

It was the faint but reassuring look of victory in his eyes that gave it away.

“We already moved all our stuff to the new place, now’s your turn” Shigaraki said.

“You heard them kids, time to go!” Magne said with a smirk.

“Nah” Bakugou said, making everyone stop in their tracks.

“I’m sorry?” Shigaraki asked, clearly confused at the bold answer.

“I said no. I don’t fucking think so” Bakugou said again and only a quick glance to you was the warning to what came next.

You covered yourself as you could.

A brutal explosion made all of his restrains fly away in pieces. A large cloud of smoke covered the room, and when it finally dissipated, Bakugou was in front of you while looking at the villains with a wicked smile.

“I’m gonna explain this once” Bakugou said, gazing at each of them. “You either let us go or I’ll blast all of your faces off!” He threatened.

“Compress” Shigaraki said, but as soon as Mr. Compress made a move Bakugou blasted him off making him crash against the wall.

Everyone stood quiet for a moment.

“We don’t have time for this” Shigaraki said. “The Heroes could be anywhere now, we can’t be too careful” He added. “Master… lend me your power”

“A ‘master’?” Bakugou asked in a mocking voice. “I thought you were the boss around here” He added. “But you’re just a pathetic sidekick”

“Kurogiri” Shigaraki said. “Time to go. Someone take care of the girl”

“I can’t believe they’re such bad audience members, it’s almost impressive” Compress sighed as he got up from the previous attack.

You saw as Kurogiri began walking towards Bakugou that was in defense position waiting to strike if needed.

All eyes were trained on them as they waited for Bakugou’s rampage to unfold.

But the nerve-wrecking moment was cut short by a nock on the door.

“Hello. I’ve got a pizza delivery here” Someone said from outside.

Everyone stood completely still and in silence… until the wall where Spinner was laying on collapsed.

“SMASH!” All Might’s distinct voice said as he landed in the room.

You suddenly felt like crying tears of joy.

“What the-?” Spinner said in utter shock, still knocked down on the floor.

“Kurogiri! Gate!” Shigaraki urged.

“Pre-emptive biding Lacquered Chain Prison!” Kamui Woods exclaimed as he got into the scene. Trapping all villains with his famous attack.

“Ha… That’s it?” You heard Dabi said and a chill ruined down your spine. If he was to burn his way out then y’all were good as dead.

But your worries disappeared once a tiny, old here jumped into the scene. Quick as light, he knocked down Dabi by bouncing on his head.

“Don’t do anything foolish! It’d be in your best interest to cooperate with us” He said once he knocked him out.

“Just what I’d expect from a competent new hero” All Might said, referring to Kamui Woods. “And a veteran pro that moves faster than the eye can see, Gran Torino” He added. “You can’t run anymore, League of Villains, understand?” He exclaimed. “Because we are here now!”

You let out a relieved gasp.

“Just a day after the press conference?” Mr. Compress exclaimed in desbelief.

“Tree man you’re hugging me too tight! Tighter!” Twice said.

“One tends to neglect defense when they’re in the offense” Edgeshot said entering the room with his quirk. “But we didn't come alone. Take a look” He added and opened the door, letting in a dozen of police man. “You’re surrounded by the police. Not to mention powerful heroes like Endeavor” He added.

All Might took a look at the two of you.

“Oh, you must’ve been scared” He said. “But you stayed strong. I’m sorry, kids. You’re safe now” He said.

“WHAT!? I wasn't scared! Not even close!” Bakugou shouted at him.

You can kinda vouch for that.

All Might just gave him a thumbs up before turning to you.

“Don’t worry, young lady. We’ll get you out of those right now” All Might said to you, but before he could even give one step towards you, Shigaraki roared in full rage.

“Kurogiri! Bring over as many as you can!” He commanded.

“The nomus, right?” All Might asked.

“What are you waiting for, damn it!” Shigaraki turned to Kurogiri.

“I’m sorry, Shigaraki Tomura. The Nomus were supposed to be on a fixed location but… they’re gone…” Kurogiri explained in shame.

“Huh?” He exclaimed in disbelief.

“It seems you’ve got a lot to learn, Shigaraki” All Might said laying his arm on Bakugou’s shoulders. “You’re still green” he added. “Your little League, underestimated all of us: The souls of these two young people, the police’s diligent investigations and our righteous fury” He explained. “Enough is enough. Your days must come to an end, Shigaraki Tomura”

“All Might, please!” Spinner begged. “You’re the only hero to be respected. You’re worthy!”

“You think it’s over?” Shigaraki asked with clenched teeth. “Don’t be stupid. I’ve only just began to play… Justice, peace… You’ve created a garbage society by lifting up such ridiculous ideals. That’s why I targeted you, All Might” He explained as he started to get up. “It’s why I started gathering people to my cause! You think this is the end…? Then you’ve lost” He added. “Kurogiri-!” He began to exclaim but Kurogiri was instantly attacked by Edgeshot and resulted unconscious.

“What just happened!?” Mayne exclaimed horrified. “Did they kill him? I couldn’t see anything!”

“I’ve played around with his insides and left him unconscious” Edgeshot explained. “Nimpo: Thousand Sheet Pierce.” he gave the name of his attack. “This man was always a nuisance. I’ll have him sleep”

“Weren’t you listening earlier?” Gran Torino said.“Y’all be better of if you take us seriously” he added. “Hikiishi Kenji” He said looking at Magne. “Sako Atsuhiro” He turned to Mr. Compress. “Iguchi Shuichi” He turned to Spinner. “Toga Himiko” He turned to Toga. “Bubaigawara Jin” He turned to Twice. “Though they had little time and information, the Police worked through the night to discover your true identities. Do you understand? There’s nowhere else for any of you to run”

You couldn't help but notice that Dabi’s true name was not being mentioned.

“So, Shigaraki. One question: Where is your boss hiding?” Gran Torino asked.

Shigaraki stood still in shock for a moment.

“…No.” He whispered. “This is not over… Just you wait. The game is still mine!”

“You tell us where he is right now!” All Might demanded.

“Go away” He hissed. “Disappear!”

“Shigaraki!” All Might warned, angry.

“This is your fault!” He shouted and you started to feel terrified just by looking at his face. “I HATE YOU!”

As soon as he screamed, black dense liquid appeared at both of his sides, making you gasp in fear.

Nomus were coming out from them.

“Nomu!” Kamui Woods exclaimed. “How did they get here!? What is this!?”

More black liquid portals started to appear all over the room.

“Dammit, Edgeshot! Stop Kurogiri!” Gran Torino shout.

“He’s still out. This isn't his doing!” Edgeshot said after checking on Kurogiri.

“Don’t release them under any circumstances, got it!?” All Might ordered Kamui Woods.

After that all you could feel was the sudden feeling of having something coming out of your mouth.

You tried to stop yourself but before you knew it the same black liquid was coming out of your mouth, surrounding you.

You screamed.

“C-Crap!” Bakugou exclaimed, and you could only guess he was in the same situation.

The last you saw was Edgeshot trying to get you with desperation all over his face, before everything turned black.

As soon as you felt your feet hit something solid you collapsed in the ground, coughing continuously as you felt how that disgusting liquid left your body. The only thing you did other than gagging was taking off the belt off of your head.

You could hear more coughing around you.

“D-Dammit!” You heard Bakugou said between coughs, and judging by how close you heard them, you only supposed he was right next to you.

You only stopped trying to get as much of that liquid out of your body when you saw dressing shoes stop right in from of you.

“My apologies Bakugou, (Y/N).” A voice said, and your head snapped up to meet his owner.

Your breath hitched once you saw a man, with no face, ‘looking’ down at you.

You felt Bakugou instantly yanking you up by one of your arms to get some distance between you and the man.

You heard noise from behind, and both of you turned to watch as the League of Villains arrived to the place by the same liquid portals.

“That was so gross!” Toga said covering her mouth in order not to puke.

“This black stuff reeks! I love it!” Twice exclaimed.

Shigaraki was the last one to appear, kneeling on the ground.

“Master” He said and gave a small bow down.

“So, you failed once more, Tomura” He said at first, and walked to him. “But you must not be discouraged” He said. “You’ll try again. That’s why I brought your associates back with you. Even this children. Because you judged that they were important pieces on your game board” He offered him a hand. “Start over as many times as it takes. I am here to provide you with help. All of this… is for you”

Bakugou made you a motion to stay focus.

“Ah…” The strange man suddenly said. “…There you are”

In less than an instant, All Might crashed against him, the contact between the two created a wave of wind that made you both stumble backwards.

“I’ll have you return my students, All For One” All Might said.

“Have you come to kill me a second time, All Might?” All For One asked.

Once they finally separated, an ever stronger wind of power made the ground collapse, sending you flying away a few meters. Bakugou was quick to grab you while at it, so when you crashed to the ground you weren't far from him.

You could hear a faint exchange between All Might and All For One, but the wind was still loud enough to block most of the sounds around you.

You saw All Might charging at him again, but when he was about to hit him, All For One’s arm got bigger, and with wild, strong winds coming from his extended hand, he sent All Might crashing back.

“A-ALL MIGHT!” Bakugou exclaimed.

“Don’t you worry” All For One said. “It’ll take more than that to kill him” He explained. “Get off the battle field, Tomura, and take these children with you” Black things came from his fingers, and pierced through Kurogiri’s still unconscious body. “Kurogiri, walk them away”

“Be careful!” Magne exclaimed. “One of the heroes messed with him and he’s unconscious” He said obviously worried. “I’m not sure what’s going on but if you can teleport why don't you get us out of here?” He asked.

“My war power’s still new Magne, there is much I need to learn about it” He explained. “It’s distance is limited, and while he can teleport to specific coordinates I only transport people to and from my own location. It’s easier to have Kurogiri do it” And once he finished saying this, a big black portal showed up. “Forcible Quirk Activation!” He exclaimed. “Leave this place” He then said to Shigaraki.

“What about you?” He asked, but before All For One could answer, All Might rose up to the sky.

All Might started charging to him, so All For One separated himself from Shigaraki.

“You’re not thinking, Tomura. There remains much more space for you to grow” He said.

“Let’s go, Shigaraki” You heard Compress said. “While our masked lead is keeping All Might. Claim your price” He said, and you instantly knew he was talking about you two.

“You good to go?” Bakugou muttered only for you to listen.

“Yes” you said, even if it wasn't true. There wasn't much left to do now. Maybe your quirk will be useful at least to defend yourself.

“Keh” Bakugou let out, positioning himself. “This is gonna be fun” He said to the villains.

“You, kids, don’t!” You heard All Might exclaim at you, but you didn't turn to him.

You acknowledged the fact that both of your presences here were holding back All Might. He was distracted because of you, so you needed to get the hell away from here so he could finish this guy up.

The first move was made by Twice, shooting one of his measuring tapes at Bakugou.

Knifes came at you then, and you almost wanted to snort in irony since deep down you knew Toga was going to hit you first now that Dabi was still out.

You dodged several knifes while blocking two with small barriers that were strong enough to stop them from hurting you.

Bakugou blasted her off of you by making the ground explode.

“Behind you!” You exclaimed as you saw Compress get near Bakugou from behind. He blasted the ground again, using the explosion as propulsion to flip over him. With a energy ball strong enough, you pushed Compress out of the way.

“Don’t let him lay a finger on you!” Bakugou exclaimed at you, while he used explosions to dodge the villains jumping over their heads.

The knifes returned, and you were once again using barriers to keep Toga away from you.

‘This crazy bitch! From where are all this knifes coming from anyways!?’

You felt your quirk starting to fail already, which wasn't really a surprise considering the huge amount of rubble and dust the place had due to the fight.

You started to just dodge them then, deciding to use your limited quirk if only necessary.

You watched something from the corner of your eye.

The wall from behind exploded, and you could see as two gigantic ice ramps started to grow from the ground.

Three guys from class 1-A were running up one, with their eyes set on their goal.

Bakugou.

“(Y/N)!” A familiar voice shouted from behind you.

Kendou was there, using her quirk, while Todoroki and that girl from class 1-A with the creation quirk were holding her up. They both have jetpacks behind them.

It took you only one second to figure out their plan.

When Dabi woke up he didn't understand a thing.

He saw All Might fighting against some guy, the rest of the League trying to catch both of the UA kids while they were dodging them and Kurogiri out cold while a portal was open up right in front of him.

It took a few seconds to figure out what was going on, but as soon as he got up, the wall from behind collapsed and two ice ramps started to grow from the ground.

And he didn't need to see to know who was causing this.

“(Y/N)!” Someone exclaimed, making (Y/N) turn to the voice instantly. Dabi saw the girl take a quick glance at the other group of ‘rescuers’ an it seemed that once she was sure that Bakugou was getting rescued as well, she charged towards the right position for her friends to take her.

There was no way in hell he was letting her escape.

Not only he was knocked unconscious and remained useless like a weak loser while everyone else was fighting, but there was absolutely no way he was letting her be saved by him of all fucking people.

He run towards her while shooting fire to the ramp as well.

“Come on!” He heard one of the kids reaching Bakugou said, to then hear Bakugou blast himself off the ground to get to them.

Dabi knew he wouldn't get in time, but he was still running towards her while melting down the ice.

Dabi heard Magne ordering Spinner and Compress to go grab Bakugou, so Dabi knew that at least they’ll get him.

He saw the girl with big hands grabbing her. Still he didn't stop.

He heard Compress go off as a canon towards Bakugou, and by seeing him from the corner of his eye he knew that he’ll meet the mark.

But apparently, he wasn't the only one who realized that.

Even if she was up in the air as the ones with the jetpacks were taking her away, he saw her horrified eyes once she saw the destiny that was awaiting Bakugou.

It took her no more than a mere instant to decide what to do.

She was up in the air but somehow he felt as if he still heard her.

“I’m sorry” She said to her friend with the big hands.

“What!?” The other girl exclaimed terrified.

She broke free from her grasp, and while falling down he set her target. With both of her hands she created a large purple ball, that was then blasted to Compress, getting him out of the way and saving Bakugou in the process.

“(Y/N)!” The redhead exclaimed with tear in her eyes, as the others seemed to realize that no matter how much they wanted to, they couldn't get back to get her because now the villains would definitely stop them.

From the corner of his eye, he saw Bakugou turn for a moment, maybe due to the commotion happening behind him.

The girl was nearing the ground, and Dabi was there to catch her.

The impact made both crash into the ground, but he was quick to get up and trap her.

“NO!” He heard from behind, the distinct voice of the angry kid. “Turn back you idiots! Or I will! We need to go get her!”

He picked up the girl and placed her on his right shoulder like a sack of potatoes while he listened the UA kids trying to convince Bakugou that if they went back, none of them will be able to get out of the situation again.

“One false move and I’ll burn you alive” Dabi told her, feeling her crying as he walked towards the portal.

“I won’t be leaving without her!” Bakugou’s faint voice could be heard, as they got away in the air.

“We can’t go back! We’ll only make things worse now!” Someone else said.

“You don’t fucking get it!” Bakugou roared.

“We do get it! I came here for her, Bakugou, and even I know that we can’t go back now!” The red head said.

“All Might’s gonna get her” Thats the last thing he heard before crossing up the portal and stepping in their new ‘hideout’.

“You ended up being a bigger pain in the ass than I took you for” He said, taking the crying girl with him to some safest room where he could keep her while he found something to keep up her headache.

Notes

So, we got part 1 of the reader's backstory, next chapter it's part 2 (and final part of backstory I suppose). The villain name of the reader's dad means hallucination and yes it was just google translate. I'm terrible with names by the way... I don't even have one for her mom just yet.

Anyways, this chapter is SO FUCKING LONG! But I just wanted to include all this things here BECAUSE all these 5 chapters were kind of an 'introduction'?? It's very tied up with the canon plot, but next chapter we're getting into the REAL story hehe..

If you’re poor you have to be CRAFTY. Look at that! It has a pentacle now. How long did it take? Literally 30 seconds! Imagine what we could do with a whole afternoon!

Ok, I admit it, that was a fiasco, BUT WE’RE ONTO SOMETHING THERE.

Let’s take a closer look at what else we brought, shall we?

This tiny chest is 7.5 cm wide x 5.5 cm tall x 5.5 cm deep (3 in x 2.1 in x 2.1 in) and will hold my pocket altar. It was *drum roll* $1.70!

I was getting tired of using my mom’s big ass scissors to cut my tiny delicate herbs, so I got myself this pair of snips! Price: $0.55 and they’re sharper than Tom Hiddleston’s style. Plus they serve a multitude of purposes, like shanking a bitch.

A quick stop by the crystal shop that was also closing (pfft crystal shop. Sounds like out of a fantasy novel, love it) yields the following goodies:

-Onyx ($0.55)

-Fluorite ($0.27)

-Snowflake obsidian (hard to get where I live. It’s kinda pricey at $2.20. I recommend other kinds of obsidian or maybe just black glass as I’ve been using until today, it still works awesomely. I got the obsidian because I wanted to experiment with it and my Mentor recommended me to get it, same as the fluorite).

-And the CUTEST little quartz formation. This one kinda defeats the purpose because it was a bit pricey. You don’t need it; any clear quartz will work the same. It was $4.50 and it was my guilty pleasure of the month. It also came with a free satchel that’s most certainly going to be used with magickal results in the foreseeable future.

More of it because it’s so gorgeous ♥

Back to the fluorite! That shit is large and cheap! Well, you see, it’s kinda ugly because I was part of a larger stone and broke down the middle when they were trying to perforate it to make it into a pendant.

This stuff LITERALLY sold by FRACTIONS OF GRAMS. In this case that’s 0.2 grams of saffron, that’s 0.007 ounces. YES. ZERO POINT ZERO ZERO SEVEN. Insert here Bond reference

Retail price? Normally around $8 per capsule (EIGHT AMERICAN DOLLARS!)

How much on sale?

TWO DOLLARS.

A tip for the broke witch: hunt down for sales. Even if you don’t use the ingredients in your spells, you can still trade them with other witches or with anyone, really.

After this I went home and decided to try out my new candles.

And as I said, if you’re poor, you gotta get crafty!

I cut one of the candles in half. A part went to my pocket altar, and the other half…

I used one of those ceramic saucers with the little erh… lower level circle in the middle?

USE CERAMIC. THIS IS IMPORTANT. IT RESISTS TEMPERATURE WELL AND YOU’RE GONNA NEED IT.

Melt the wax in the microwave or on the flame and then make sure it stays in the center of the saucer. Then take it out and wait until it cools down (or put it in the freezer if you are an impatient little shit). DO NOT LET IT SOLIDIFY COMPLETELY.

Then you take it out and use a round cookie cutter (or if you’re a cheap ass like me, find something else)

I just used the styling nozzle of my hair drying because F U K D A P O L I C E

Put it again in the freezer and once it’s completely solidified use a spatula because you, my dear witch

Just made yourself a moon wax amulet!

Engrave it with your sigils, place it on your altar, carefully soften the bottom with heat and use it as a seal, the possibilities are endless!

BUT WAIT, WHAT ABOUT THE REMNANTS!?

EVIL EYE WARD!

The rest? Melt it again or use it as a poppet in case you wanna cast a spell over an onion ring…

By the end of the day, our haul is:

-Altar cloth $0.55

1) REUSE as many things as you can.

2) MOVE THOSE FEET. I know it doesn’t sound appealing, but CHECK SEVERAL PLACES. Find the best prices by checking different stores and comparing.

3) BE CREATIVE. If you find yourself in need of something you can’t afford, think and find a way to replace it or get it through other routes. As I said, witch trading is a thing!

4) BARGAIN. There’s no shame in it, people! If you’re dealing with independent merchants and buy regularly/are buying a lot, try to get better prices! Don’t disrespect their business, though!

5) REMEMBER YOUR MANTRA. Witchcraft requires NOTHING. Except you.

Can I wait to report damage to insurance company till car payed off?

My car was parked on a busy street in icy conditions and when I returned to it, it had clearly been hit but no one left a note, etc. It will probably be very expensive to fix...although it is only cosmetic damage and it isn t horrible. In fact, from a distance, you don t notice it much. Anyway....my husband passed away recently and my finances have been limited. I have full coverage on the car (It is a 2004 ford escape)....because I am still making payments on it. We have a $1000 deductible, which I cannot afford right now. Besides, my brother-in-law tells me he can spruce up the damage and make it look better..and of course won t charge me much for that. So....here was my plan. Please tell me if I m doing anything illegal here or just tell me if my plan will work: So...I m expecting a large enough tax refund that I can pay the car off in March if I choose to do so. Once that is all complete...and before I drop my full coverage to just liability, I was going to report the damage....and go through the process of getting estimate, etc...and then not have the car fixed and just take a check. With that check, I was going to pay off some other bills I m very behind on (mainly hospital bills). That plan will help me get my finances in order and get out from under debt. But I m not sure if I m thinking clearly on this! Someone please tell me if this plan is an option. Thank you!

So uh…introspective post where i work through everything that went right n wrong my first semester getting my Bachelor’s.

Starting right off the bat I underestimated how homesick I would get after going to Ecuador. I said something healed when it went back and I know that it did because even when the homesickness kicks up i don’t feel the same loss I did for…over ten years. ( since we moved here) The most painful thing for me as a child was thinking they had moved on without me while I just sat there and missed them and missed out on holidays and birthdays ( in reality…they did the healthy thing which is to carry on and live your life until you see the person you miss again and I was just….13 and really angry ) Being back kinda made it click into place that i have my family…for as they’re there. I’m not gonna say I don’t mourn the time I lost because that doesn’t just away but there’s this feeling that I can just pick up the phone and call them and we can make new memories and that’s…that’s really nice.

But it made coming back..extremely hard. I cried on the plane. And then school picked up and I was excited and I sent a bunch of pictures of the campus home and that….lasted for about a month and a half before it hit me that phone calls were all I had for now and that really sucked. My mental health took a dive for most of the semester. It got kinda scary sometimes. and like it kinda did stabilize but I didn’t really get to enjoy my first semester that much. I cried a lot. It was embarrassing. Also it sucked.

I also didn’t get disability services and what that proved to me was I overestimated how much I could do without them. It’s my own hubris. I grew up…not exactly looking after myself but seeing independence as something to aspire to…I have a hard time accepting I need help. Especially in regards to disability. I passed the classes but it was a mess and a lot of last-minute writing and anxiety attacks that might not have happened if I had time extensions. ( to a point it wasn’t completely my fault because we needed the papers stating my disability from my old A.A college and once the semester picked up we..did not have time.

Another thing i underestimated was how much work I’d have in classes. I had to cut out hours at work and was still just…always working on something every day. I think it might have also been made worse by how I took classes ( every day instead of scheduling them on set days like Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays) but also like this is my Bachelor’s and i kinda knew it was gonna be harder but uh.

It was a lot. ( to me I least) Next semester I’m gonna have to possibly let go of work if not reduce it a lot. ( I was doing 20 hours of work on top of all this which…probably didn’t help)

Some of it was fun but…I really need to figure out a way to not get so wound up/overwhelmed by it all.

My attachment disorder acted up around a teacher that was nice to me/had cool uncle vibes and it made my brain go “please adopt me” so strongly and oh god it was painful. It sucked it sucked it sucked. It hasn’t happened that badly since I was in my teens. Although at least I can say it hasn’t happened since.

The school is really cool. The campus is huge. I’m still getting lost in the library. There’s a lot of students. ( my old community college was uh….a bit on the small side.) and I’m really happy when I’m there and like walking around campus.

I’m kinda nervous about next semester and how I’ll handle it. I don’t…want to spend months depressed and anxious and complaining to my friends. It isn’t really me…at least I don’t want it to be. I don’t want this to be the normal to me going to school.

I did manage to make friends with some classmates even if we lost touch when the classes ended that was nice ( I’m thinking if I join school activities I can get some social time/interaction which is…also something I kinda lacked through the semester and that affected me really badly. A lot of the friends I went to school with are busy/out of state/both and its…been pretty lonely.)

I’m also working on getting a diagnosis because this school actually has like a good health department Unlike my old college. and I’m kinda…really happy/excited about that. I’ve been needing help for a long time…honestly since I moved here when I was 12. I’’m hopefully gonna get therapy once a week.

My mood’s been weird lately I think due to me being home a lot now that the semester’s over and some symptoms are acting up but overall I’m pretty hopeful. A diagnosis could mean I actually get help for a lot of the symptoms which I always thought I just had to live with, if I can get accommodations then the classes should ease up a bit and therapy should help too.

I need to really think if I wanna live on campus or not. What the pros and cons of it all. It’s super expensive ( to a pretty undoable degree) and I have m y dog now but also #we’re not exactly the bradys.

I guess the notes for next semester are to get paperwork done one time, get accommodations, and block out days where i can actually work on things. As well as work with therapy to figure out just whats been goin on with my brain/how to cope when it gets bad.

I handled finals a lot better than I did during my A.A. and I’m counting that as progress.

Hopefully i can drive by then or at least pass the written test. It would make things a lot easier. Even if I actually enjoy the train ( although 3 hours is uh quite a bit)

Also having financial aid again is just….super nice. I like that.
