rating luke skywalker’s most iconic Looks

bc i’m bored and he deserves some love and some roasts

1. luke skywalker 103- for the initiates 

dare i say the most iconic of all luke’s looks? he really came in swinging. the simplicity of the outfit really lets his natural beauty shine; the tunic says unassuming farmer boy but the hair says disney prince. i wanna touch it. the plunging neckline makes him look more shirtless than if he actually took his shirt off- i can’t tell if i’m repelled or turned on. but he looks like he’d be great at holding hands :) final rating: 10/10 absolutely iconic

2. these aren’t his clothes.

what happened to the swoosh in his hair? we went from the most dashing look the 70s had to offer to......... what i actually picture when i think of 70s hair. i realize that luke probably didn’t have much of a wardrobe to choose from but the banana yellow isn’t doing him any favors. but he looks happy enough and i guess that’s what’s most important? final rating: 6/10 would take him to Target for his own clothes :/

3. fun times w/ the frog

two words: hot damn. those arms. those hands. that frog. the whole package. i didn’t know i was that into biceps before this motherfucker, true story. not really into the whole “sweaty training in an acid trip swamp” idea, but luke actually pulls it off here. the hair plastered to his forehead....... makes me feel a certain way. get into my swamp tbh pls dont quote me on that im begging final rating: 9.5/10 would bang but only if yoda’s there

4. “luke it’s a trap”

similar in color to his dagobah outfit- maybe luke just really rocks the muddy greenish-gray? it’s not much of a fashion statement but sometimes less is more. while i do miss the biceps, i can’t resist a classy man and the sleeves at least give the illusion of classiness. his hair’s doing the swooshy thing again and it really pulls the look together for me :)  final rating: 8/10 hot but not too hot 

4.5. he may be ur father but he aint ur daddy

sad boy. angry. hair has lost trademark swoosh. new holes in his shirt, and new lack of hand where hand once was. also a new dad! i love that for him. i’m not really attracted to him here tho because he’s so vulnerable- i feel like i’m watching something i shouldn’t :( if anything it activates my protect instincts- someone get him a blanket and a hot chocolate.  final rating: 7/10 might be ur dad lol

5. he used to live here, you know

luke’s out here serving us some emo looks and ngl i’m kinda here for it. the similarity to anakin’s costume design makes me think he developed a retro style between esb and rotj. i’m not mad; i just don’t think the leather vest or whatever it is necessary. but the wind in his hair makes him look very dashing, and the green lightsaber is nothing short of sexy final rating: 8.5/10 who’s that fella??? 👀

6. *incoherent screaming*

i.... i think this is the same basic outfit from jabba’s barge but without the leather? thank the lord. he really did decide to make a statement with the black shirt, black pants, knee-high black boots, and thicc black belt, but honestly the uniformity looks very sexy on him. epitome of class. again, you can tell luke has combed his hair recently; it’s lost its swoosh and it’s not my fave. BUT i’m obsessed with hand veins and gloves and he’s serving us both!!! sorry that he had to lose his hand but the glove makes it kinda worth it 

this look also marks luke’s character development from one hundred percent sub to a total switch. i dont make the rules :)

Okay we got two questions in this vein, so each of the admins replied one with our own thoughts. Okay, i’m not good at putting my thoughts into words so you’re gonna have to bear with me here lol

Okay i’ve talked about my main issue for Titans!Robin Jason here on my own blog, tl;dr i think they took elements from Jasons robin run without the context it came with? Titans Jason comes across as angry and aggresive “just because”. actually there isnt a tl;dr just read the post SORRY

Jason was 11-15 years old when he was robin, which i know it seems like something very minor, aging up isn’t a bad storytelling tool, done right it’s fine etc etc, but in Jason’s case i feel like it actually took away from his story? Like, by aging him up they made his character more “mature”, with elements that simply weren’t found in jasons original robin run when he was just a child. Titans Jason feels more like they’re trying to portray n52 red hood jason rather than robin jason, which.. isn’t a good thing! Because again context matters! Red hood jason is a certain way because certain things happened to him, and by trying to copy and paste that personality into robin jason without those reasons it loses any kind of  nuance it could’ve had. And im pointedly saying n52 jason which we all know is real jason’s tethered, so they’re giving us knock-off  n52 jason when n52 jason was already on the sale display

Honestly titans robin jason is just new 52 red hood jason without anything of what actually made him red hood. and the fact that they’ve already hinted red hood jason WITHOUT ANYTHING! ANYTHING that made him become red hood pisses me off a little, ngl. 

(like he literally became red hood as a fuck you to bruce, and in the show neither the joker nor bruce are important characters??? AND THEY SHOULDN’T??? BECAUSE ITS A TITANS SHOW???)

which brings me to!

while jason was a titan, he wasn’t a MAIN titan, and he should’ve NEVER gotten this much focus. He’s a batman character, his entire story depends ENTIRELY on batman, BRUCE being present. and when you take that away it may as well be an oc. Jason and Dick weren’t even that close in Jason’s robin comics, it just doesnt make senseeeeeee, if anything he was closer to Donna! and if you watched the show you probably saw how Donna hated Jason’s guts! And anyways back on track, why is red hood going to be the villain for a TITANS show when he’s only ONCE, EVER had a villain appearance for them??? And it was during Tim’s era?? And imagine if Tim does appear, why would Jason be mad a thim when HE decided to go away? DOESN’T! MAKE! SENSE! Why are they going out of their way to include Jason somewhere he shouldn’t be more than a guest appearance on? He should be Dick’s annoying yet endearing little brother and that’s it...

And honestly genuinely i despise how they portrayed Bruce as not caring about Jason at all... again, Jason’s relationship with Bruce is the heart of a lot of his storylines.. centering Jason’s story around the titans rather than Bruce.. yeah you may as well have created an oc.

Honestly if i watched season 2 again i could be more specific on stuff titans did that it was like just. seeing some dude named jason, but it’s so bad.. just so bad. 

Anyways. If i took away the robin costume i would’ve NEVER guessed thats supposed to be Jason tbh. Like, honestly, do you see these panels and think “Oh yeah it’s like looking at titans Jason”

Honestly to summarize it, our friend @redarrow sent this to our groupchat a few days ago and i think it’s pretty relevant to the conversation:

Titans, along with almost every story that contains Jason is once again reiterating the narrative that Jason was a bad robin and that he was inherently bad. “His trauma didn’t make him red hood, he was always destined to become a villain/anti hero.”

At the end of the day, these grown adults decided that it would be okay to violently kill off a child in a comic that children read. A character that was specifically made to target a younger audience. Instead of dealing with the consequences of their actions, they try to justify it by retroactively making Jason evil. What really makes me mad is that robin was created for children, and the moment they make a child character have a realistic background to an extent, they basically say there’s no hope for you.

I just dont know how to make friends or even talk to people without panicking

It takes me a long long time to get used to people and even start thinking about opening up to them

All of my friends are people I've knows for a good 6/7 years, I hate being introduced to new people

I hate havinh big groups of friends as well

Usually whenever my friends go out I tend to avoid it, but when I do I'm usually at the back walking by myself

I just withdraw myself when in big groups and just become invisible

But in small groups of like 3 people or just me with someone else I thrive

My friends think they know me really well, but it's one of them ones where I mask my true emotions and feelings with waffle

It's not that I dont trust them, I just dont want to share my feelings with anyone or talk about myself, usually I just make jokes

I grew up in an environment where I was taught not to cry and not to be emotional, and my mother was very insistent on that, and it just became natural to me. I cant even remember the last time I cried, it was definitely a good 2/3 years ago

I have a lot of patience when it comes to anger, like I dont let it out, sometimes I get really really angry at the littlest things people do, but then it dies down in like 3 seconds. I dont know how to explain it, but it's like a hot flash and then it goes, other times it builds slowly and I just let it fester

But I hate confrontation

I would never actually do anything with the anger or hurt I feel, i just let it sit inside of me and hold it in

People do come to me for advice and help, I wont sugarcoat anything, I'll tell you the honest (and sometimes harsh) truth and then help you get overcome your problem as well

Because of that I can sometimes come across as harsh because i wont bullshit you or beat around the bush if you need me to talk to you like that

I do the absolute most for my friends, I'd drop anything for them if they need help and I often find myself putting their happiness before my own, and lowkey (highkey) it hurts when I dont receive the same energy back, but it's ok we move

I'm usually the one doing all the work in a group presentation, mainly because no one else is bothered to do it, so I just do it all

I do all the work, they present

I dont know how to show the people around me that I love them, even though I really really do

I hate it when people touch me or try to give me hugs and I avoid them

But secretly I yearn for them and I just want someone to cuddle me

But I'm not used to physical affection at all and it really embarrasses me

It's a bit of a sticky one ngl

For me, it's so important to be polite and open minded

I think that's why people come to me for advice and shit, because I suck at comforting people, but I wont judge you at all also because I'm quite approachable as well

I like to think I'm a nice person

I always try and make people smile and laugh and know that they're loved and acknowledged by me

In stressful situations I find myself being really calm

I either do one of two things and they're both polar opposites

I just question like how can you go from going to dinner with your mum, sleeping with me on the Thursday before it happened and then finally break and admit you wasn’t in love anymore. Even in London I knew something wasn’t right but again I doubted myself and I remember feeling really sad after that night because I thought oh my god it’s happening he doesn’t want me anymore.. and I was right.

Im just thinking there must of been something to trigger you to make you know I wasn’t what you wanted, I know I get down and I was stressed with work was that mainly it? Did I do something? Did you not fancy me? I just constantly keep asking these questions.

This isn’t me blaming you please don’t think that and this isn’t me trying to guilt you. But as the weeks go on I’m keeping all this inside and it’s slowly breaking me down, I have never cried so much it physically hurts. It’s a matter of rejection and after being treated like a piece of meat I finally found someone I looked at like my everything - I would’ve done anything for you and then to know that actually I wasn’t good enough. I just keep going back to that day I visited you in Chesham and I was so scared to drive Olly took me. I don’t know what it was about that day but I’ll never forget it and it’s something that sticks. Our first kiss our first sleepover, fifa, Brighton, Aqua leisure and all our little jokes (far too many) it just keeps me up at night knowing that they actually happened and it was so short and sweet. I still wear your tops to bed I don’t know why but it just feels like a comfort. I really miss you being there and your hugs I don’t know how anyone will ever match the feeling.

I just needed to say these things to help me move on and express how I felt when it happened because I just sort of froze, I sort of feel like I’m only coming to terms with it now it’s taken a while to hit me I was very numb for a while.

Like I mentioned at the start of this message I really don’t need a reply from you, I won’t be angry or upset if you do or anything. If there was something you really wanted to say I just feel it would be better for myself to not see your name pop up on my phone, as I’ve now gotten used to. I’ve sort of gathered as it’s been 2 months soon and I haven’t heard anything from you that maybe I’ve been forgotten about and obviously that hurts but I also understand if you’ve wanted to just ignore what’s happened unfortunately I’m trying to do that and it’s just making things worse for me.

i thought keeping this all to myself for some time until it passes would be a good idea and i actually did that, but with every day it's getting harder so you know what fuck it and nevermind i'm actually gonna rant here,, i'm not expecting anyone to respond this is one is just for me to get this out of my system

a little context first for all those that are actually reading if there are any: last wednesday, thursday and friday were SHIT, like really really bad days for me mentally but i had to go to school and so i went. the day before i've lost my clean days (as in self-harm) which were like three weeks already but i tried not to think about it too much cause you know ✨ guilt ✨ so i just sat down my ass in one of the desks and waited for mt friends to come (i'm gonna refer to them as x y z cause privacy). i usually sit with z cause whe comes aeound the same time as i do, but that day x came before her and so she sat with me. normal, literally not the first time we've done this. x noticed my forearm and we talked a little about how i'm feeling and all, really nice i love her. then y came and x talked with her too and then came z late to class cause her bus didn't come. again, not the first time. the whole day we didn't change the rooms so i was stuck at my chair between x and the wall, fine with it cause that way i didn't have to engage much into the conversations and bro i was SO thankful for that, also x helped a little so win. friday was practically the same as that. the whole weekend i was kinda recovering and just relaxing a bit and then monday came. monday was for me one of these days when i'm oveely energetic like i literally can't sit my ass in one place cause i have to either pkay with my pen or swing in my chair or something, just really energetic. and so i was that, again next to a wall place with x beside me. and after the second lesson we had to move the rooms so fine i packed, waited for them. y and z packed before me and x and left early tho, which was kinda surprising since we always wait for every one of us. but fine, i waited for x and we left and then we sat before the classroom. i tried to start a convo with z but she quickly cut off, like completely uninterested?? so i just stood up and left, cause i felt like now she might be having a bad day and i didn't want to make it harder for her to go through. so i walked up to x and jokingly said that i was blown off and x said seriously "and do you know why that is?" and at that moment i understood something was wrong so i asked what's going on and x told me that z felt like i pushed her off last week and it hurt her a little. at that second the bell rang and we went to class. when i tell you u got so fucking sad- like i didn't notice that i might have done that until x pointed out and i just felt so bad?? cause even if i have the worst fucking day i have no right to make my friends feel bad you know. so i spent the whole lesson thinking about how should i apologize to her like what words to use and how to approach this. and so the bell rang again and we left and i sat next to z on the corridor and said (i am quoting here) «i'm sorry» «for what?» she fake laughed here, not looking me in the eyes not even once during the whole 'convo'* «for being so distant those last two days of the previous week, i didn't want you to feel bad» «it's fine» «no but for real bro, i didn't want to» (we use bro to each other very often okay) «it's okay». that was it. i know she said it was okay, but she didn't look me im the eyes even once and the tone of her voice clearly indicated something different?? idk but i got really upset, at the verge of tears even (cause like i said, very energetic day so therefore also VERY strong emotions, even exaggerated some would say) and we haven't talked since except one 'hello' from yesterday morning cause we were the first ones from our friend group to come. and she's talking normally with x and y, just not with me, so that makes me even more upset?? and me and y were never really close, so only x left for me to talk on breaks and she wasn't at school yesterday fun!! but the reason is serious and i don't blame her at all though. also!! x is practically the only person answering me when i'm asking/texting in our group chat, y always seeing but not responding and z seeing either like y or after few hours

my point here is basically that right now i feel just really pushed aside and out of place with people that i've been friends with for more than a year now and it hurts a lot to be honest. and i really don't get it!! i know z has every right to be angry with me, but i already said i'm sorry twice and tried to make up for it since then, so i don't understand why she's acting like that?? i would understand if she'd said «you know what yeah i am mad at you actually» but she said it was all fine so?? what the fuck is going on, what's that fucked up kind of punishing me?? cause it does feel as if she's trying to do that ngl and the same people were talking about communication in our relationships while we were quarantined? like we then laughed at people that don't talk to each other at all but have expectations and yet they're now doing the fucking same?? i'm just so damn tired cause the whole evening yesterday i felt like i was going to cry in any moment but couldn't and i still feel like that now and this state is just so tiring physically and mentally and i'm so done with them acting like that but also i don't feel like i have the right to call them out on it?? cause i feel like it was me that started it all?? i don't know anymore i'm just so tired of this whole situation i wanna cry tbh

That treasured shovel of the Earth Master was indeed magical, and with only a few strokes, a new tunnel of over ten meters was dug. - anybody remember mulch diggums from the artemis fowl series? this is much more dignified than that but i think this is only the second time ive read a character just starting digging a tunnel as a plot point

okay so much is going on i wish i hadnt spoiled who certain characters actually are for myself but i have no one to blame but me for a) not blacklisting spoilers at all and b) just having a little freefall through the tags. oh well. anyway heavenly college admissions scandal except way worse. the corruption extends to the heavens and the windmaster is having a very bad day

im gonna keep it real im getting tired of how often we get told how handsome hua cheng is. i know its all xie lian’s pov and while im not terribly familiar with it i know what genre we’re working with and im assuming thats pretty typical. its something i dont much care for in general and idk maybe it sounds better in the original but ngl its starting to make me roll my eyes. love you goth king but god okay we get it.

i guess what i will say about hualian so far is that overall i like them and i like how they interact in general they have a lot of nice moments and they just genuinely seem to like each other which is really nice to see EXCEPT for when it actually comes to things that could be romantic or sexual which is a shame bc i dont think it has to be like this. again disclaimer that im only reading a translation and dont know everything might not have all the knowledge necessary to accurately criticize etc etc and im assuming a lot of this is expected from the genre (disclaimer to this disclaimer that i cant say that for sure its just based on things ive picked up about the bl genre over the years) but idk like xie lian was so distressed after their underwater kiss scene. it was kind of uncomfortable to read and maybe im being unfair i know his cultivation is based around abstinence or whatever but idk i dont care for it. and that scene alone doesnt have to be a bad thing like idk i guess its his first kiss ever (?) and it would make sense if he feels weird about it but i just have my doubts thats going to be addressed or resolved in a satisfying way. also im like. dude everyone is like centuries old. xie lian’s been on earth for 800 years. has he really never met or heard of a gay person during all this time? maybe he hasnt idk what he got up to yet maybe that’s actually a thing. also same thing with the reactions from the immortals to xie lian in a dress and characters like the windmaster like again you’re all centuries old and its not uncommon to be able to just completely change gender presentation. why are you all weird about a man wearing a woman’s dress? i just feel like that shouldnt be a big deal to these characters idk

also again not going to lie part of this that im not really a big fan of reading romance in general. yes i am reading this book. yes i do read and write a lot of fanfic that includes or centers romance. im multifaceted. but really what im talking about is the like physical side of it and descriptions im extremely picky about it. ill give an example. early on in the torture pit (or whatever it was called i cant remember lol) when xie lian kind of accidentally felt up hua cheng in the dark when he was being carried. i dont think thats a bad thing to have happen between the two romantic leads i think thats fine and good to include that early but i just did not enjoy reading it when it happened idk maybe it was the wording and i do think that moments like these work better in a visual medium. ive definitely read het romance that reads like this and i wasnt a fan of that either lol same with fanfic i get tired when writers go on and on about how hot one characters finds another character. this isnt a huge criticism of it like i said im picky but again like with the way that hua cheng is described it just makes me roll my eyes sorry kings

okay back to the reading. this whole saving the fishermen thing feels like a big set up for something narrative-wise. hua cheng specifically insisted on coming and i know one of the characters involved ends up dying im wondering if thats now it would be a good time tbh if things get just a bit too unfortunate during this heavenly calamity... and the brothers are notably not having a harmonious time... also tho it feels very likely we’ll just have another Hualian Moment (tm)

thems the facts

the youngest of four children with three older brothers.

her parents met in russia. her mom was an american student studying abroad on an exchange program and met her dad at uni and they fell hard and fast. after graduation he basically followed her back to the states

while her dad was on track to become a professor in the russia, school was much more expensive and competitive in america and his english was pretty much non existent. he took a job working construction to hopefully save enough to finish his education but as the kids started coming around it became more of a pipe dream then a reality for him

mom got a job as a language teacher

all the kids speak russian bc both parents speak it and it’s just easier for their dad bc it’s his native language

two of her brothers work in the trades. hvac and a mechanic. the youngest brother, aleksandr and the closest to eva played soccer all the way through college but it wasn’t enough to land him a professional contract so he’s teaching

eva is studying architecture and girl is not only passionate but damn good at it

:D aaaah! I’ve had him in the brain a lot lately okay sorry this got long And also im rewatching rn so its sorta season 1ish.

Elliot is Rory’s younger twin. He was given Christopher’s middle name. He’s mostly grateful it was the middle name.

He and Rory are super close. It was just the two of them ( and then Lane) The Twins That Read A Lot. Because they had each other they didn’t have much incentive to make friends outside of each other ( Elliot more than Rory) and extrapolating from the Pilot where Rory doesn’t seem like she has a lot of friends ( or any sans Lane) and is lowkey scoffed at for reading the assignment I’m gonna go with “other kids weren’t that keen on making friends with them either”

Rory’s the talkative one, he’s the quiet one. This is a bit of Rory also being protective of him/noticing when he looks overwhelmed and just...talking up a storm as is her wont and subtly getting attention away from Elliot. For a lot of the early season they’re not seen one without the other ( keeping in mind their arch is to learn it’s okay to have different dreams and even go different places ) 

Sorta shy and a bit more introverted than Rory. Once you become his friend however he pretty much would die for you and his face absolutely lights up when he sees you as opposed to his usual reserved nature and he talks to you albeit not as much as his twin ( unless hes super excited or talking about something he finds interesting then the resemblance kicks in lmao but thats the exception)  its like a switch ( seen with Rory, Luke, and Lane in canon and Sophie/Paige in their xover)

Likes hanging out at Luke’s. They both sorta enjoy... being quiet around each other. Elliot thinks he has a really calming vibe …when Taylor’s not there.

Ms Kim doesn’t like him because he’s a boy so he’s not allowed at Lane’s like Rory is ( honestly the feeling’s mutual bc “I’m pretty  sure locking you up for days and keeping you from school falls under child abuse also wtf” and lowkey the girls are like “lets just keep you not in the house” Lane might be closer to Rory but they still talk music together. She’s part of the reason his music taste actually started deviating  from  Lorelai’s and Rory’s.)

He doesn’t like unfair treatment of other people. It really gets to him. Examples are Ms. Kim to Lane and his grandparents and father to his mom. Later examples are Mitchum Huntzberger, and Marty. ( he’s pretty unimpressed with Marty and how his feelings for Rory make him act in general tbh but what he does with Lucy is just...it really bothers him he’s adamant that  Rory should tell Lucy the truth.)

Highkey  he has about zero patience for bad/toxic parents partly bc of his own feelings about Christopher and to an extent his grandparents that he keeps minimizing so they get projected on...everyone else with bad parents lol.

 Logan’s still a bit amazed that this shy soft spoken kid he met in his junior year went off like “He’s not your fucking property” when Mitchum went on his “You’re available when i say you’re available” tirade ( Elliot was ngl intimidated/scared of Mitchum who pretty much went “Who the hell are you??!” but Logan’s his friend and that wasn’t okay and he kept eye contact with the asshole until Logan diverted his attention back to him/the fight they were having and made sure he at least told Logan afterwards because “but he shouldn’t..” and “he shouldn’t have” and “No! No..it’s not Okay. “)

But also like constantly “it’s not a big deal” when it comes to his aforementioned feelings about Christopher and pretty much anything he might be angry about. 

Lowkey spends a lot of time Rory goes through relationship drama between “????” and “wowww dodged a bullet” Rory throws pillows at him for the latter because “If I’m gonna rant at you El, you could at least give me sympathy.”

He does have some insecurities about his orientation born out of just..f.eeling othered due to isolation and also some stuff he’s heard his dad say.

He figures out he’s asexual before he figures out he’s aromantic and has to deal with a lot of “Are you sure?” and “is that..is that normal?” from some townsfolks before he figures out Luke can scare them off and he lowkey spends a lot of time at the dinner during this time. Luke smiles at him and gives him muffins tho he’ll deny deny deny if you mention it.

A bit more sensitive than Rory like on the pilot episode when he notices Lorelai is worried about Chilton/having to ask her parents for money he stops at the base of the stairs and asks “is...everything okay mom?” and is kinda just in tune with how the people he cares about are feeling/picks up on things like that.

He...doesn’t super like his grandparents because of how they treat his mother.  Emily already made him a bit anxious because of her passive  aggressive nature ( he’s giving me some anxiety vibes tbh) and the fact that he thought the fact that his mom kept them away sorta ominous.  A lot of season 1 is him looking down at his plate and tensing with every “your mother’s golf clubs are in the attic along with the rest of her potential” and Richard’s “he ( Christopher) always was a smart one that  boy, you two must take after  him” and “as a maid with all your brains and talents” and it sorta...yeah he spends a lot of time looking at his plate and swallowing resentment. There are times where it gets better but overall he’s never completely at ease around them. He’s very quiet but civil around them even as he grows some affection and builds bridges with them along Lorelai and Rory. And I haven’t even figured out the fallout with the thing they pull at the wedding.

Emily at least once asked off handedly why Elliot wasn’t seeing anyone and I’m still figuring out if she says something like “that’s not normal” before Lorelai or Rory intervene.

(( Full disclosure Emily reminds me a bit too much of my own relationship with my mom and its really hard to write her favorably though I at least try to be fair. So Elliot is sometimes  a bit harsh on her and very in Lorelai’s corner when Emily and Richard are...less than nice. ))

Sort of a mamma’s boy. Rory and Lorelai have their special connection but so do Elliot and Lorelai. Rory was a bit more extroverted and would play/hang out with Lane while Elliot was perfectly content as a babie curling up with his mom and reading. It worried Lorelai a bit, how hard it was for him to reach out ( she never had that moment she had with Rory and Lane of “my kid has a friend” with him) but he always had Rory yknow so she calmed herself with that. Sometimes when Rory’s with Lane he’ll hang out at the Inn and work there. He somehow got in to Michel’s good graces ( “because you are quiet and unobtrusive”  and got him to teach him French 

Very tactile. When he’s getting nervous Rory will reach out and grab his hand or Lore will put her hands on his shoulder and he’ll calm down. He does the same when wanting to comfort friends or just wanting to show affection ( will lean on Finn and Colin a lot as he gets closer to them or accept that they’ll just throw an arm around him)

Meeting the LAD bridgade kids makes social events with his grandparents so much easier like ohmygod subparties with Logan Colin Finn and Rory  become lifesavers. ( its not so much the drinking as having someone you can laugh with while dodging your grandparents friends and the girl they told to look for you yknow)

He has more resentment towards Christopher than his sister and doesn’t see him with the rose colored glasses Rory sees him in their younger years. His absence hurts him a lot. He hides it well and is nice enough towards him because he loves Lorelai and Rory and wants them to be happy/have a good time but if you catch him on a bad day you might get a rant about how little Christopher knows about them and how little he was there  and “he just drops by, spends like a day with us and leaves yknow...it’s...and we’re supposed to be happy???” and the fact that he doesn’t wanna tell Rory or Lorelai bc he thinks it’ll upset them just  sorta...makes it worse.

And then at some point  Christopher pops off with “and how long are you gonna entertain this phase of his Lore, a boy his age should be dating” and while Rory’s making angry noises and Lorelai’s saying “Outside. Now” ( though they don’t know the twins are listening) he just gets...this thin unsurprised smile and...yeah it’s not great. 

Very supportive of people he loves. He’s constantly telling Rory through the Chilton years that she’s smart enough, more than smart enough to get through this and helps her study. He makes sure he tells Lorelai he loves her or hugs her if he can tell the dinners are a bit hard on her. Honestly a total cream puff. The resentment for his grandparents and father is mostly buried and comes out like when he’s upset/they do something that provokes it. Mostly he’s a really soft boy and kinda soft spoken, loves reading about science and space ( he balances out Rory’s preference for literature and history though they both like poetry and Elliot occasionally reads prose as Rory lets him infodump sometimes about science journals) and loves his friends so so dearly. Will get angry a la Beware The Nice Ones if you hurt them though the first thing he’ll do is comfort them/try to cheer them up.

He loves Stars Hollow but being the only aroace person he knows of there ( and fielding well intentioned “are you sures?” and “oh honey you’ll find someone someday”s and just..alot of early 2000s Star Hollow-ness ( “Hey kiddo you gonna bid on a basket this year?” “oh you’re getting handsome, gonna find yourself a girl for the starlight festival?” “is he..youknow?” is just...a lot? He wants to spread his wings and find his place/people like him/feel less isolated.

He still loves his town though as its his home and raised him his sister and in a way his mother. He visits while he’s at Yale ( the distance helps tremendously as does the ability to just...leave again) like Rory and says hi to Miss Patty and Gypsy and Andrew ( he loves Andrew omg. One of the few people who didn’t just assume he and Rory were always reading the same books) He helps the 30-Something gang find jobs/fine tune resumes  though im not including anything else form ayit and checks in how they’re doing bc..its still his town. They’re his family. “my nuts-o, extended...well meaning but sometimes overly invested and too-pushy-and-slightly-overbearing family.” even as he dreams of getting out a lot and once he does he...really likes it. He loves them

He goes to Yale because Rory goes to Yale (because again the whole Learning To Be Independent From Your Twin...kind of a slow process for him) and gets sibling-adopted by Finn and Colin  in a turn of events he’s pretty much confused over like im p sure they were like “hes ours now” and Elliot was like “im ...you’re...w..what?” and Logan who Knows Finn and Colin is like “don’t fight it” and lowkey adopted him too.
