I remember this one but can't find it! Iirc, WWX was in a coma in Lotus Pier, but the rest of the cultivation world was told he was dead. Can't remember how his spirit ended up in a paperman, but all the Lotus Pier people knew, and eventually LWJ figured it out when he was visiting for a cultivation conference or something. I think they were trying to figure out how to get WWX back into his body when MXY did his ritual and WWXs spirit was pulled out of the paperman and everyone freaked out that he'd died for real this time

2. Hi!! Thank you for all your hardwork here.

I was looking for this fic where Wei Wuxian doesn't get adopted by the Jiangs.( I'm not sure if it was because he retained his memories of his earlier life.) Anyway... he gets the Dafan Wens at Yiling and closes Yiling with a barrier that no one can break through.

At some point Lan Wangji comes by and meets Wei Wuxian and there's a little bit of an identity crisis happening because Wuxian doesn't want to tell Wangji who he is but the smart Lan figures it out (I think lol) Also the war happens (again not so sure) but anyway all the sects comes to ask for refuge at Yiling.

The part I remember really well is where The Jiangs come by boat and Yu furen is her usual self with her condescending attitude.

I also remember a section where, towards the beginning, Wuxian actually cures the Burial mounds and like the entire village just loves him and takes care of him because he's such an angel.

Please find this for me cuz I went through 115 pages in my history and still couldn't find it. @poetic-writes

4. Hi!! Thanks for your work, I have been looking for a fic I read I while ago. It is a MDZSxTGCF crossover, it starts with Wei Ying arriving to ghost city after his death and Hualian finding him (I'm pretty sure he calls Xie Lian an angel at some point). Some time later, Lan Zhan travels to the ghost city to find Wei Ying, he doesn't find him but Hua Cheng lent him some luck so they can reunite soon.

5. hi! im looking for a fic where the juniors of lotus pier think wwx gives the worst punishment. in reality, wwx just deliveres them to the most appropriate adult to deal with it. like if the best punishment would be "im not mad just disappointed" lecture, then he'll drop the kids off to jaing yanli or if they need handstands then to lan wangji and so on.. but wwx himself rarely punished them and somehow the juniors came to the conclusion that he must give out the worst punishment

6. For the next Fic Finder – I was looking for a fic to suggest for an ITMF request, but I can’t find it! It’s a modern AU, where LQR suggests a marriage between JYL and LWJ (after a scandal with JGS comes to light, making JZX a bad option even though JYL still wants to marry him). But LWJ and WWX are already secretly dating, so WWX chaperones JYL and LWJ on a “date” where they finally tell her they are together, and then go about telling the rest of their family through the rest of the fic. @eorlgreylady

7. What I remember from it is that WWX was in the bath before some people broke into the jingshi and held him hostage when LWJ got back. He had a string to his throat, or a knife not fully sure. After the guys that broke in were killed and it was like the next day, JC came by and the three of them started talking in the middle of CR so that the others would know that LWJ killed the men because they tried to kill his husband and if they wanted to see the scar left across WWX's throat.

This part was at the end of it, but I don't remember it being long. Don't really remember honestly

i remember a lot but these are the important bits: modern au, wwx & lwj used to be classmates, nhs finally convinced wwx to confess his feelings for lwj, and when he did (in public, blurting out loud cause he was VERY nervous), lwj thought it was a prank, got angry and rejected wwx. wwx was devastated, nhs felt guilty, planned to drink & then met wen xu. wwx and wen xu get together, but wwx ran away (?) with wx. he was actually in an abusive & manipulative relationship with wx. then wwx adopts wen yuan and he fled with wy. years later, wwx owns a cafe, wy is a teen and they accidentally meet lwj again at the cafe. the junior ensemble is there, things happen and wx finds wwx but there is a happy ending.

I’m trying to find a modern AU fic where the Lans still run a school, and in the backstory, WWX did something, got expelled over it (can’t remember why, it’s either punching JZX or messing with LWJ) and after being sent home, Madam Yu disowned him and threw him out of the house. There was also a mention that LQR was horrified, because the other times he expelled someone, they simply petitioned to be readmitted to the school and he was expecting that to happen with WWX.

This Kieran is in AU as to what happens if Florian doesn't lie to him about Ogerpon and whatnot! Kieran still doesn't get Ogerpon and is fine with it ( kind of, as in this made him feel inferior to having friends and will always be chosen over by other people. ) His way of thinking is that maybe he should try to be nice and kind to others so that will help him get friends as he sees Florian do this the same to others. ( The only thing Kieran thinks he's not good at is having a funny personality. He is very awkward in person. ) Blueberry Academy was hard on him as he was almost practically as ignored and students tend to forget he is the champion because of his cowardly personality. Florian took over later as champion. Okay there.

I have a bunch of unorganized thoughts about TF2 and here they are

1. TF2 is in a weird spot where it feels “Abandoned” despite having been given more support for much longer than most games

2. It was absolutely not planned for it to have as many content updates as it did. It was released during an era before consistent content updates were really a thing unless your game had a subscription model. You’d release a multiplayer game, maybe do a couple updates here and there to keep people buying, then move onto the next game you’re working on, and the games community would keep it alive with custom maps, gamemodes and whatever the hell else. With the absolute explosion of popularity that TF2 had, Valve decided to continually update it and slowly transition to the Free to Play model (Was actually one of the first games to have microtransactions and loot boxes.) Which has slowly become the model for most multiplayer games nowadays where developers will add content updates while making money off of microtransactions.

3. There has been a gradual corrosion of the community’s involvement. Earlier in its life there were community servers, which could be moderated, but the introduction of Quickplay just about killed off most vanilla servers, as new players would be sent to big server farms that use advertisements in their MOTD and then roll the profits into buying more servers, which meant more revenue, and while the fanbase begged Valve to do something about this plugin so that they didn’t have an ad shoved in their face, Valve turned around and were publicly taken steps to support it. While this was happening, community servers without a specific draw to them like custom gamemodes were deprived of fresh players until they died out. I’ve had people tell me that quickplay was great, but I personally watched this happened. It absolutely boggles me, and my only possible explanation is that matchmaking is so bad that it made a button that would likely just put you in a skial server as its best case scenario seem good in comparison.

4. Most of TF2′s current big problems is caused by this, and I personally believe that abolishing any sort of matchmaking would fix this issue. Hackers? Moderators. Toxicity? Moderators. Lack of updates? Theres a whole world of community maps out there, and you can play more than just the 5 or so added twice, possibly three times a year.

5. I hate the loss of the experience that community servers have. I cannot stress enough how big of a deal it was to be able to play with a specific group of people just by hopping on a server. Im having trouble putting into words the loss I feel now having every game always filled with strangers that I’ll likely never see again, instead of hopping on my server of choice and chatting with people who weren’t outright friends but familiar faces, like having a bar you frequent. I feel more isolated than ever now that the usual state of multiplayer games is wrangling what friends you already have IF they have that game.

6. I can’t say for sure, but my guess is thats why people feel so disheartened about TF2 nowadays. Its a hollow experience compared to what it used to be and without the constant shot in the arm that updates serve to be, people are growing disillusioned. Even before CS:GO, CS 1.6 fans never complained about the lack of updates, and TF2 lost that foundation as it slowly changed into the modern games as a service model where if a game goes 1 month without an update its considered dead.

7. I used to love Valve, like to a ridiculous degree. But then I saw them introduce pay for cosmetics in a game that already had a price tag. Then I saw them add lootboxes, which even back then I knew were predatory. Then I saw them try to monetanize mods (People roast bethesda for that but Valve had their hands in the cookie jar just as much). Yes they are a company, yes their main focus is profit, but they outright pioneered so much bad that now has become the horrible standard in the current industry.

hmmm let me think i havent really been consuming horror or at least not actively + finding new stuff :0 well there is myhouse.wad! its been around for a few months but if you dont know its a doom mod! its a map of the mod creators deceased friends childhood home and it appears innocent at first but things quickly turn dark. you can either play it yourself here or watch a playthru of it or watch a video essay the essay i watched that introduced me to the mod was this one!! its got unfiction aspects to it in the other files you can look at and just from watching someone play depending on how good you are at games maybe its not super painful to navigate BUT IT IS PRETTY FUCKING LENGTHY so im not sure if youd wanna play it if you get frustrated easily w/ that kind of thing it might be too much :00 either way i think its a neat little gem :DD !! cws for the usual horror imagery and house fires and surreal imagery is prevalent throughout and im not sure exactly how but you can end up killing a dog early on etc! next recommendation uhhhh, the og coraline novel maybe? idk if youve seen the film or not but either way i dont think itll affect your reading experience! i read it b4 i saw the film and the book just means a lot to me!! side note ive always thought it was really cool that book coraline and movie coraline as characters were so different from each other but both still valid interpretations of kids and the way kids act :o not sure if books or horror for kids (PRETTY WELL WRITTEN HORROR STILL TBF) is what youre looking for but give it a try if youre interested!! cws for pretty common horror imagery and body horror and eye related horror and ghosts dead kids and such! So It is 2am and I cant really go back to sleep

So heres my sleepy musings about Act 3:

Act 3 feels a little rushed in, a little unpolished. With little to do and too much to do simultaneously. It is boring at times, wich has never happened in Acts 1 and 2.

But why? Why this disconnect?

Partly it is because of companion reactivity, yes. They transfrom. From fully fleshed characters that have always something to say to silent companions that MAYBE have a line or two at specific locations with specific companions. Wich may be understandable. The roster adds Halsin/Minthara, Jaheira and Boo's pet. So having banter for every conbination of companions would be more work. Fine. Im ok with that.

However, what Im less OK with is the pacing of the Act itself

Rivington! Right? Wait, where? Rivington is supposed to be the introduction to the Act. A Small village with nothing much to expect, get you used to your new environment. You find Yenna and Grub. For good-aligned characters, this is alright. Help the orphan, get her to your camp. Sure.

BUT. My character is still NOT good-aligned. I personally do NOT like children. (Mol and the Gang are an exception.) And that is ok. I do not hate them. Well, except Yenna, that is. There is something about the character that makes her feel... unreal. My first instict to knowing there could be a doppleganger in my camp was literally to attack the child. That child was acting strange, even for a child. And I cant, for the love of me, find what it is. (Is her uwu im a cinnamon roll too pure for this world attitude? Is the "Oh, my mom is dead? :c" reaction she has, instead of the gutwrenching grieving Arabella had, knowing her parents are dead? Maybe something else?) I told her no. I dont want you at my camp. Well, guess what? She returns to you no matter what. And I get it. From a mechanics standpoint, SOMEONE has to be kidnapped by Orin. If you have the ONLY 3 companions that can be kidnapped in your party... WHO is getting kidnapped? Fine. Ok. As annoying as my actions not having consecuences is, this one is understandable. I just find it odd that the corpse of the child (if she dies) remins at your camp, when she dies.

Ok, child met, whats next? The fireworks plot. I- Look; It is not a fun plot. There is something that is... Unrewarding? The fun part of the plot, from my standpoint is instilling terror to the dealer and blackmailing him. And the workshop in the basement. The fireworks shop inside the city feels... like just a battle with no real point or something. There is something missing there.

After you get the pass from Artur or whatever his name is, you are tempted to talk to every NPC you meet. That is... a mistake. They have a line or two about how refugees are going to steal resources or something. But most are... Just not fun to talk to. And some of them outright have nothing to say besides "I have nothing to say to you." (Act 2 has the Harpers busy patroling the Inn, but everyone at Moonrise has something interesting to say. Even the goblins.) I get it may be to make the city feel more alive. With people! But comming from Acts 1 and 2 where everyone (95%) has something to say. (And you also have something to say) It feels like a little letdown.

My favourite part is the circus. Nothing much to say about it. You can get scammed. You can talk to the animals there. You can have fun listening to the bards and doing the love test with the dryad. But yet again, I wanted MORE of the circus. It feels as if they started having fun with it only to have cut it short to make room for the Bhaalist cult plot with Dribbles. Id have loved minigames! Winning a giant stuffed bear for Karlach in one of those rigged carnival games. Lots of different checks. Maybe to incite people to use different companions to win the different games and have EVERYONE have fun with it! But instead we are going to focus on Dribbles. I- Look, I need a mod to add quest markers to the stones of Barenziah quest in Skyrim. "Just go finding the lost Items :)" is not a fun quest. Not for me at least. Im sure it is for some people, but... :( And that is it. That is it for Rivington! Hooray! Oh wait, the Gur. Funny. They are in the most hidden place in the whole map. I always forget about them untill I already killed Cazador. "Oh shit, the Gur. I forgur. ARGH" I exclaim as I go back to the lift only to find the Gur standing there, waiting for me.

If I forgot anything in Rivington. Well... The only exciting place there is the circus.

Ah, fuck I forgot about the temple. Ugh. Yeah I forget that place exists. Not sure why. It is not particularly interesting. "Oh no a murder happend"... Well yeah but some reason it doesnt feel connected to the main quest. There is something off about the murder. I have no idea why. It feels like I can just not care and nothing will happen.

Ok, next. Wyrms Crossing. Wait, why is Gortash having his CORONATION there? Shouldnt it be Inside the city? Huh? What? Oh thats right, Upper City cut content. They had to poor the poor sap SOMEWHERE. It feels very... Disconnected :c I expected the Coronation to be a BIG event, instead it is... Underwhelming. Dont get me wrong, in my first playthrough I still felt the dread inside me. The "Everything is over" kinda feeling. Hopelessness. Karlach's rage and Wylls disbelief. But it could had ben SO MUCH BETTER. Let me get out of order here and segway in to Cazador's Mansion. Because I have the same feeling there. It is.... unimpressive. It feels ruushed in. It has a couple rooms that are Key to Astarion's plotline. And the hidden attic with some loot and lore. But I expected... The mansion to be Bigger. Where are the servant's quarters? The kitchen? (For the servants) Cazador's bedroom? It feels like it was made Specifically FOR Astarion instead of FOR Cazador. The mansion, the Palace. Felt like a little cottage in the woods. And It could have ben SO MUCH BETTER.

In contrast with the House of Hope. I LIKE The House of Hope. (Not the layout, mind you. Such a dumb layout for a house, but Raphael is a weird one anyways)

The House of Hope feels big enough. Ostentous Enough. Raphael Enough. It has... feeling.

It has the chamber pot. The portal room. Haarlep and the Budoir. The Big dinning room. Raphael secrets everywhere. And the debtors? Ough, I love them. They are all doomed, lost. Wich is weird that I like the debtors and not Cazador's servants. Aren't they just kinda the same thing? Idk. Im not good with words. They should feel the same, but they dont.

And ah, when you steal the Hammer. Raphael's Battle, The music the... Unimpressive death. He just flops. Could have ben cool if he had a cutscene for his death. But many other bosses dont so "shrug". I feel the House of Hope is something I WANT to do. For fun, not just for the plot. Not just for Lae'zel.

Going back to Wyrms Crossing. Sharess' Caress is not a place Id go voluntarily. I did enjoy the environments. But I never cashed in The Madame's "Gift" as that is not the sort of content Im after. But Im sure a lot of people had a lot of fun with the Twins. My favourite part was the Cat and Breaking in into the Themed Rooms. "Oh this is so wrong. :) " I said as I lockpick the nymph's themed room. Knowing it was being used by two people. It felt Mischievous! =3c And it felt rewarding. The surprise, the "oh, so I did the right thing breaking and entering in here, huh" It is a fun scene.

Jaheira's quest. At the Harpers hideout. Eh. What was the point again? What were the Harpers going to do? I always forget about this part. Sorry, Jaheira. You are a good character, but theres so many people in the roster I cant pay attention to everyone and you are of the latests additions so... :c

Ill do it, but just because.... The Bank.

Oh boy do I love the bank. Heist. Good. Heists are good. Robbing fictional banks is good. No notes. Very good. Thank you. :3

The Thieves Guild. Eh... Look wait- Mol? What the fuck are doing here? How did you get here? What happend? Oh. Ok... Sure? Wow, Luigi finishes a quest by doing ABSOLUTELY nothing. Delightful.

I... I feel the Thieves Guild is a lil too much. Jaheira's questline feels crammed in. Like there is no space between all the shit you have to do. No time to chill and relax. Its all "COMPANION QUESTS. ALL OF THEM. AND ALSO THE BRAIN AND ALSO THE BOSSES AND ALSO REMEMBER THAT CHARACTER FROM ACT 1?? YEAH THERES MORE SHIT TO DO!"

Yeah. Act3 could had benefitted from a split in to two Acts, making a 4th Act.

Jaheiras House is a good place tho :3 I like it. Feels fleshed out enough. And her hideout. :3 That I liked. I also liked the family drama they have going on :3

Aight. Minsc gets late to the party. Im sorry Minsc, I love you, I love Boo. But after I recruit you theres not much to do with you. Wich I love and hate.

I love it because I already have so much shit to do that feels sluggish. I hate it because I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOU. And BOO! But theres little reason to recruit him, it feels like. Or maybe Im still sleepy.

Talking about slugs. Mystic Carrion, The Painter, errr, and other quests. I not once have finished them. Im sorry but I got tired of all the things to do in Act 3. MAYBE if there was some breathing room and there was MAYBE one or two more acts that were more spaced out. Maybe.

But I do go out of my way to help Rolan. Not only because you just meet him in your quest to learn more about the Crown of Karsus. But because "hey! I know this character! its the grumpy wizard from Act1 and Act2 and his siblings! =D wait, why are you all bruised? >:C"

I CARE About the tieflings. They feel like friends. The painter? Doesnt feel like friend.

Anyways, House of Grief. Good. Could have ben better (you mean to tell me that thats all there is to a shar schoolhouse???? huh?) Could have ben bigger. But Viconia? Oh, good. Very good, very nice. Shadowhearts choice? Oof very good very nice. It could have ben SO MUCH BETTER in terms of layout. Theres like the bedrooms but again, feels very small.

Iron Throne 10/10 would suffer again. WHO DESIGNED IT. I JUST WANT TO TALK. However, if it werent because of the duke. I think itd be a good skippable thing. Very skippable indeed. They just had to make it tempting by adding Wylls father there. (Here, have a REASON to suffer, you dumbdumb)

The Steelwatch Foundry. Ugh. 0/10 would not suffer again Why is it so... tiring? Why is it so... bland? Like yeah the Gondians but also /the GONDIANS/ I have no words. I cannot put my feelings in to words here. Oh, wait I think I know Their stupid AI will get DIRECTLY in to the Imminently Exploding Infernal Watchers range and DIE. They DIE EASILY Why is it so much different from the Iron Throne? Why? I cannot think of why. Pls help.

Now, Gortash' battle HHAHAHAAAAAAAAAaaaaa Going back to the Coronation. Going back to Ketheric. Oh boy... it feels... VERY DISSAPOINTING

In the end it turns out LWJ was kidnapped by the Jins to frame WWX. LWJ shows up in time to save WWX.

15. i cannot find that modern wangxian fic wherein they meet when lwj goes to yunmeng for the summer, so of course, they fall in love, but then lwj has to go back to gusu for his studies, where wwx ends up transferring to. wwx tells his new (?) friends about lan zhan, who he thinks he will never see again. his friends (i remember nhs and wq), upon learning the name of this guy, are like, “ooh, you don’t know what’s coming for you 🤭” or something like that.

extra detail: lwj is the student council president (?). su she is kind of obsessed with him; it is said that he has been trying to get lwj’s attention by running against him for the same position.

I have tried to find this fic--a small portion of the fic is something like WWX and LZ are surprised to see the other alive: WWX was burning paper money at LZ’s funeral as LZ died protecting him and LZ was attending WWX’s funeral as LZ failed to protect WWX during a nighthunt. 19. hello!! i’ve been trying to find this fic (i’m pretty sure i read it on ao3). it’s set in modern times (idk if it counts as modern cultivation) where wangxian are married. i can’t remember wwx’s job but lwj was a firefighter. he was trying to save a kid but they couldn’t get out and so they died. i think nmj was his superior, or something like that. nmj informed wwx of lwj’s death. there’s this tradition of the lan clan where widows of the clan seclude themselves in cloud recesses. it’s pretty old so no one really follows it anymore. but wwx does anyway. in his grief he invents (?) an array to go back in time. however he goes back to canon era. i think that’s the end of it. thank u!! @fluffiestfluffer
