So when it comes to magic and such, i think it depends on the spells and what it requires of the user. like, if the magic runs off of like, life energy or whatever, then it would probably take a toll on the user and their wings would look tattered and unkempt, the feathers fraying, thinning, becoming brittle and fragile.

with the flashes, theyre all wither hummingbirds, or sunbirds. like, not all hummers/sunbirds are flashes, but all flashes are hummers/sunbirds 😔

in all seriousness tho, theyd have to bind/hide their wings since they create drag, and having their wings just out there behind them would 1, slow them down SIGNIFICANTLY, and 2, have the potential to just... rip off of them if the flashes are going too fast. it doesnt matter how good their healing is, i doubt they can regrow limbs.

for metas like duke and hal jordan who have powers that dont directly outright change their biology or make them inhuman (if that makes sense) i think their wings are just, normal wings, maybe a bit sturdier? but hal jordan's just some guy with a powered ring (im p sure) so its whatever

being blessed/cursed would be kinda complicated since it determines what the terms of the blessing/curse are. but i think for jason blood, whenever he calls etrigan, his wings kinda just, turn into leathery stereotypical demon wings (but the transformation itches like crazy, probably.... the only thing ive seen of the two are from that one movie where zatana and john constatine team up with batman and that one acrobat ghost dude)

for billy, i think his wings would reflect the age he's at. for his 12 y/o form, i think he's have the coloration typical of his species's immature/fledgling coloration. but after he shazams himself into cpt marvel, i think he'll display the bright coloration/saturated colors that you'd find in his species (the only thing ive seen of him is the shazam movie 😔)

for martian manhunter... has he ever done hair?? cos wings are complicated, what with each individual feathers needing to be specifically recreated would be similar to hair, and then theres the matter of making the muscles work and everything move in a natural way. even if he manages to recreate wings, they’d look uncanny and wrong, and it freaks people out, and some ids may cry if they see him. It’s like a sickly victorian child looking at ai art with too many elbows/joints and too many fingers: it’d be disconcerting for them, and civillians would be distressed

and as a treat: different species would probably have like, wide-ranging diets. Like carnivorous raptors- alfred, tim, bruce, etc, would have a taste for meat whereas jason, duke, steph, and dick would be more keen toward grains, seeds, trail mixes, stuff like that. Dick in particular would be a FIEND for sweet fruit (the flashes would also all prolly be obsessed with calorie-dense and sugary fruits)

there would probably be plenty of shops/stores that sell insects for primarily insect-eating species, which means eating insects would probably be a more accepted thing in this world than it is in our world currently

it's not exactly the easiest thing to find endearment in the knave, or so you've been told. you find it easy to notice many things to love about her, beautifully dangerous and far too protective of you though she is aware you are capable of doing so yourself.

you've heard Tartaglia say she hasn't a sane bone in her body, and with the way she goes out of her way to keep you safe even from people only looking at you in a way she finds, as she puts it, 'repulsive', you're almost inclined to agree, though you will love every insane bone in her body in return. she likes to let you do as you please, but is over-eager in snatching you away from people she feels overstep around you, or people she doesn't trust around you for one reason or another.

without hesitation, Arlecchino will hurt the people who hurt you, though far worse than they could have ever hoped to do to you as you sometimes find those people rather suddenly go missing, and of course you eye her suspiciously the second you hear only to see her looking quite pleased with herself. the murder is part of the Arlecchino package so all you can do is sigh to yourself and gush a little over how protective she can be.

she is however quite gentle toward you, at least compared to everyone else, which in reality is quite normal. she can be quite brash toward other people, though she acts pleasantly. you find that behaviour appears less so towards you, a little awkward even.

it can be hard for her to relax fully and open up properly, though she desperately wants to. her words sound cheesy to her, and her displays of affection don't match yours as she feels she falls short at times, even if you assure her that she's fine and can take her time figuring it out. it's strange to see her so flustered over small gestures of affection, wondering if you'll hear what she has to say and find it weird, but also strangely able to articulate this love she has for you in a deeper sense in ways you can understand.

you think at some point she built a shell previously impenetrable around her heart, melted away by your warmth and her own ignited fire for you that began a burning in her chest. a passion she previously found little need for, but now with you around she found that she began to indulge it, only slightly at first until she found it to be quite an addictive thing.

she finds that her preferences are inclined to match with yours, though the one thing she won't break from is adoring the way you feel pressed against her in any way, that warmth that radiates off you all bundled up in your fluffy collared coat and a nice pair of gloves you forget more than you'd like. she finds it all the more reason to use her hands as she holds them in her pocket to warm you, even knowing she likely has your gloves stuffed away in her other pocket knowing that you always forget them.

on top of this, her love for having you pressed right up against her also happens to extend to other things, curled up on the couch coiled together trying not to fall off as she holds you between her legs with your head on her chest like a pillow where she strokes your forehead. you're fast asleep and somehow still so elating to her.

however even Arlecchino's own joys cannot keep her from caring for you, often hoisting you all too carefully into her arms once you doze off to carry you to bed, all just to curl back up intertwined with your sleeping body in a place she knows will be more comfortable for you. she can never bring herself to leave you awkwardly scrunched up on the couch, even if she has to shuffle you off and hope you don't wake to move you elsewhere.

there's something so endearing about the way you squirm back to comfort and settle, breathing softly against her neck, your hair tickling her skin.

there are other things she enjoys obviously, though they cannot top her favourite thing, there's always that other favourite thing she loves about you. no matter how awkward or self-conscious you may be about it, she often finds herself to be put at ease by your smile. something about you natural smile comforts her, her sign that no matter what, you're happy and feel comfortable around her to show such a thing. it so cute.

your smiling face always makes her want to kiss you, more than anything else. if she was gooier she'd take your cheeks between her fingers and pinch them, but that urge remains private between her and herself.

Just to complete the set of my Trainer OCs meeting Soni for the world hopping thing.

Sorry if I get too superficial, I got distracted 🙈🙈🙈

It was nice hearing so much spanish even from the start of the movie. From Santiago, it helped me imagining how would Jake sound 😆😆 Though I wonder if he's going to change his pitch for Jake. I tried to mentally compare the post credit scene with Santiago's pitch and I think it's slightly different.

(Here between the two Santiago's scenes, in Colombia and US, I said to my friend "He shaved... not that I'm paying attention to that"

To which my friend answered "I am" 🤣🤣🤣 and that "he looks better with stubble")

It was kinda sad how they presented their lifes, struggling so much to live after years serving. But it was funny seeing Pope trying to convince them all like "but we deserve this tho 👀"

(When they were back in Colombia Pope had a stubble again and I pointed it out to my friend 👁️ "it grows fast" he said)

I thought the movie was going to be a lot about the planning phase, so when they changed scene and were already there talking about the plan, only 30 min into the movie I was like "uuuuh, alright, something's going to go wrong".

When they didnt find the man nor the money I thought it was going to be about escaping, then trying again.

Then they found the money.

And the man.

So welp 😅😆, it's going to be about the money then, I thought.

At this point I was still calm, but from here everything started to stress and annoy me.

When Redfly got so excited about the money that he wanted to keep getting more of it, both my friend and I sent a message at the same time saying the same words: "Nooooo, greed!" (it was kinda funny😆)

Considering how much of a great mind for planning they considered him to be, he fell pretty hard. It wasnt just about the time to get it out, but how 😩 and I was so mad that they listened to him and decided to change the plan.

There's no point of grabbing a lot if there's only so much you can take with you 🤡

And yeah, through the movie we can see how that was just a terrible idea, and that anyway they need to get rid of bits and bits of it.

I don't understand the way Redfly goes through some kind of corruption? First not wanting to get involved, then only wanting to be there with the minimum, then wanting to participate but following his plan, then fuck his plan, then killing people but with a weird double shooting...

Like, it feels out of nowhere, I don't know, maybe it was justified but I got distracted by "someone's" cheeks 😔😒

As we expected, there's a lot of money and even before riding the helicopter Fish warns Redfly that it's going to be a problem to fly above the mountains with that much. But he listened to him? NOoooo

Them listening of what he says I don't know if it's blind trust because "he's so good at his job", or plain stupidity/greed

Then the crash, then again Redfly being weird about killing people, then getting out of the village with the mules.

Then they're found and Redfly dies. First I was sad, because I was thinking about his family and the scene with the daughter earlier in the movie. Then I was mad because it all was the consequences of his actions 😡😒 Both wanting to bring too much money, and then killing that people

So anyway, RIP. Now they have to drag his body too 😩

And they can't reach the boat with that much money anyway, so YEET money, and only bring as much as each one of them can pack. Godammit, all of this only to have even less of what they planned because they wanted to bring more than they planned 😩 And the man with of that brilliant idea is dead, ok

(Here one of my friends had to leave because it was late, he had already watched the movie and said "I just have to say: this is the 4th one, you'll see what I mean"

To which I was "You're joking☠️"- because we've been counting how often Oscar dies in everything we've watched. Fortunately he said he was actually joking, but I didn't like the joke 🤣 You don't play with my feelings like that)

So, the scared kid in the jungle finds them (and sorry, but I was 👁️👄👁️ at how Santiago was talking there. Can't explain). Then they get to the boat not before having a "meaningful" scene of how they didn't want to kill more people 😔👊

So then the end of the movie

Tbh I was really mad at it

Even with the few money they could bring with them, and what they spent washing it, they had 1 million each, even Redfly

When Will ripped the paper, I was confused for a second thinking what he was ripping was Redfly's agreement to send money to his family. So I was angry for a second, and then I was, oh ok.

But then everyone stared at each other and I was like "Pls don't" but they did

I was ok with Will donating his part to Redfly, his goldenheart and all

But the other ones felt like just plain moral and social pressure

And in restrospective, what is money compared with the life of a loved one. If only they had followed the plan. Now it doesn't feel like a difference if the family gets 1 million or 5 million.

I said to my friend, they ended the same way they started. But wait no, Santiago is even worse, because he spent 100K to start the mission 😩

Then Benny gave Santi the coords for later and I was EVEN ANGRIER

Like, if AT LEAST Santiago OR Benny kept their part, they would have had the money to try to find the rest later. AND THEN they could be all benevolent and give the family even more than 5 million, if they really felt that bad 😒 but no

Now they are all with no money and hoping "some day" the coords will be useful

Pokemon Horizons Ep16

the conclusion of this mini arc and the final member of the starter owner trio AND dot's first battle. it was a nice episode, looked better than the average one, tho not as much as I expected it would from what mega said but my fault for getting my hopes too high. dot finally told riko she's gurumin too (since riko is a damn fool) so it's good that's out of the way now too. ALSO they revealed some more villains, including 2 girls and both their designs and voices are great so looking forward to when it's their turn to hound the protags

Atelier Ryza Ep6

yooooooooo she said the thing anyway it's crazy for me to think that we're already halfway through the season, time's fucked up this episode marked the building of the hideout and the first little act of the story so we should be getting some more adventuring and such for the rest of this, dunno if they'll cover the whole game but we'll see, doubt they'd do a S2 but could be wrong

Zom 100 Ep4

well on ep 1 I said I the show looked great but I was worried about the studio being able to keep it up since they're new, and then ep 4 got delayed a day and now ep 5 got delayed to next week so that's... worrying, hopefully doesn't become a constant thing. tho despite the delay ep 4 still looked as good, but we'll see how it is for ep 5. as for the ep itself it was nice, nothing really impressive other than the explosion near the start, I'm just waiting for the foreign girl to show up up and them all to get together and start traveling. also also, saw some spoilers for the newest chap of the manga and it's very HUH, hope that the next chap shows it didn't really happen, or something happened after the cut cause otherwise it'd be very weird and make it hard to keep motivated to keep watching

Gokurakugai Ch1 - 10

I've been waiting for this got get added to M+ since damn march 1st!!! it got picked up for viz so I was like "oh should be on m+ soon enough" but apparently not smh. coulda've read it on viz but that'd require some work arounds and I was lazy + thinking it wouldn't take that long.

but ANYWAY this series. yet another exorcist series in the ever growing sea of them, tho that's not the reason why I decided to start reading it. it's cause the designs slap and the art's extremely good, but what pushed me over the edge was this incredible qt. anyway it's good tho, wasn't expecting much but was plesantly surprised. started off just being a monster of the week thing introducing the charas and world but it just ended the first lil arc and it was good. seems like next up will be a training arc (?), tho waiting til next month for the next chap is gonna be rough.

I said p early on that for a romance series this was moving p fast but I didn't expect them to be at this stage already. since there's not really other plot points to follow and whatnot idk what they could do next, so maybe it could end soon, but we'll see

Kill Blue Ch16

what the hell???? is it getting axed?? it's very weird for this to be happening out of nowhere like this when a big part of the plot was to find a way to revert his age again. guess we'll have to wait for the next chap to really have an idea but no jump next week so gonna be a hard wait

Spy x Family Ch86

it was quite the long arc (2nd longest after the ship?) but now it's over. it was good overall, had been a while since some twilight action, a lot of neat stuff happened but it doesn't feel like it moved the main plot forward, we'll see how the aftermath for it goes tho

Tenmaku Cinema Ch17

tenmaku has been good, as usual, just a shame that it's on the way to getting axed, they're already almost done with filming so just like 3-5 more chaps should be enough to finish? it's a shame readers didn't like it more, I think it's really good (helped a lot by it being a veteran duo) but oh well, I'll enjoy it while it lasts

very good chap, not only has it been a while since hina was around but she came back "recovered" from being rejected only to find out about them dating and going back to hurting all over again, this needed to happen sooner or later but I'm glad it was sooner. totally expecting her to date kyo tho but it's prob gonna be a bit til that (tho I could also see ayame dating him since the author has been teasing that for a bit)

you know a chap was good when you get to the end thinking it was too short and wanting more, had been looking forward to this fight, wondering how the hell he was even gonna do it but this is really cool. hype for the rest of it, also predicting that he's gonna take AFO down with him cause there's no way he'll live past this lol

Tbh the TVL book release in-universe happened just a few weeks before the concert, it was very fast!

I absolutely believe Armand was visiting Lestat regularly during his entire time with Daniel, there's just no way he wouldn't -- the obsession runs too deep. 😔 There's a darker, more desperate element there for sure, but still something very innocent and almost childlike as well.

I love this exchange between Lestat and Armand in MtD, like Lestat's subconsciously aware of how Armand sees himself in relation to him, and then Armand confirms it.

"You're looking for trouble again," he [Armand] went on, in the same slow manner, without anger or meanness. "The whole wide world isn't enough for you and never will be. This time I thought I'd try to speak to you before the wheel turns."

"Aren't you the most thoughtful of guardian angels?" I said sarcastically.

"Yes, I am," he said without so much as blinking.

I think Armand spent those six months in knots over Daniel, struggling to come to terms over the inevitable decision, and at some point he goes to Lestat's resting place again to check in on him and perhaps soothe himself. Only there's no trace of him and Armand has no idea where he is.

But I don't think he was in a full-blown panic over finding Daniel until TVL came out, and it likely occurred to Armand that Daniel might try to find Lestat all over again in an attempt to persuade him to turn him. 🥲
