din and luke are absolutely the couple that basically become the same person after a few years of marriage.

luke starts calling lightsabers “laser swords” because of din. din starts to pronounce things the way that luke does in his outer rim accent. they make the same exact joke while watching a movie and say “we have to stop spending so much time together” and don’t do that. luke gains a tolerance for spice after eating din’s mandalorian food. din clips his darksaber to his belt the same way that luke does it for his lightsaber. luke tries to replicate the voice that din does when he’s telling grogu a bed time story. din starts to actually like blue milk. one day luke forgets to shave and never goes back to it because din said he doesn’t believe he can grow a beard like him. when they go out on a mission they share the same tooth brush because it’s easier. they smell the same way because they only buy one bottle of body wash

they still have their differences and bicker as if they hate each other but it’s the little things that start to rub off

can i just say i genuinely love that after decades of TIE Fighters being utterly laughable cannon fodder, we actually have a point in a Star Wars series where one *singular* TIE Fighter is not only a threat, but an intimidating and looming prescense that’s treated so seriously that we as an audience instantly understand how important it is that our people go unnoticed because the implied consequences would be completely devastating. one single tie fighter.

this is what the galaxy is like for the average person. this is why the empire is so scary. this is why the people rebelling against it are so brave.

i *love* that, i love this show.
