at this point i feel jason has a feminisim spectrum, bcz with God as his witness you'll find him dead (again) before he even thinks of trash-talking about women.

but at the same time, he's a TOTAL hater at the core. not only women. not only men. BUT EVERYONE.

Damian can relate even tho he's a hardcore feminist.

(and also Taliah taught them both about the miracles of respecting women, cuz she ain't for SURE raising no misogynist or two. but she already raised them haters so...)

Thinking again about how much Dick loves his baby brothers, and how much I wish Jason and Cass could have anything close to that kind of relationship with him. Jay and Cass need a big brother so bad, and Dick could also stop carrying the whole family on his shoulders if either of them could step in and take over from time to time.

Dick and Steph are the best influences for Dami, but Cass and Jason should be able to understand him better than anyone.

I think there's just too much distance between Dick and Steph, but she and Jason should be as close as she is to Tim and Cass. Steph and Tim and Cass should be the terrible troll triplets, a unit unto their own.

There's so much love and closeness that should be theirs, if only they were willing to reach for it and earn it. That's the problem with both fanon and canon. They won't let them work for it and earn it. And so they drift apart but together like lonely ice floes.

Do you know how utterly romantic and heart wrenching are arabian poems? And how much of a helpless romantic is Jason Todd? I feel like in the AU where he stayed in the League and became Damian's brother he would absolutely fall in love with arabian poems. He would recite the entire Arabian Nights by heart to Dami as a bedtime story. And Damian would grow up on those poems and absolutely love them and that would be something they would always talk about endlessly over tea. But it would also open so many doors for Damian to be a helpless romantic like his brother. He wouldn't change much on the outside, but on the inside he would be just as passionate, just as vulnerable, too fast to love and to forgive. And everyone in the family would see it so clearly how much heart Jason put into raising him.

(And maybe if they met Damian before finding out that Jason was alive and they hear him talk about romance literature for the first time with the same sparkling eyes that Jason did Dick would just stop functioning and stare at him with such longing and grief, Alfred would quietly leave the room with tears already in his eyes and Bruce would fucking straight up cry on spot because Damian now reminds him so much of his little boy who was a little hotheaded and loved to read and learn and believed being Robin gave him magic. Who left this world a lot too soon.)

And he would be a raging feminist. Because there's no way Jay would raise his little brother to treat women other than absolute queens.

That's it. That's my new headcanon that you can pry from my cold dead hands.

the feelings i have about sibling bonds and relationships are completely normal and i have proportionate amounts of emotion towards these in media. i care about these two brothers just as much as any regular joe. These sisters do not inhabit an above average space in my brain. this pseudo parental figure births the same emotions in me that they do anyone else.

Have some more of artistic Damian because I love this side of him.

The most disquieting thing he realized when his sketch is finished is how young Jason is. Without a scowl and twisted brows to hide behind…Jason barely looks like an adult. Maybe that’s why Father and Richard get that funny look in their eyes whenever he laughs or smiles. Damian’s putting the final touches on the crosshatch shading around Jason’s curved nose bridge when the man wakes up. It’s a slow awakening, made of lazy blinks and deep inhales. He must realize where he is and for a moment, Jason’s face softens even more. It’s the look of someone who feels safe. Comfortable. Then he turns his head and sees Damian. The fond expression is gone, tucked safely away and replaced by one of indifference. “Plotting how you could kill me?”

Just finished watching all the options on my Batman Death in the Family interactive movie I got for Christmas and... Only two of the main options have a continuing story line that you get to make choices in.

The third main option leaves us with Talia handing Damian over to Jason. And then it ends. And we're left wondering.

I really would've liked at least one more set of options after this. For example:

Jason joins the league of assassins, will he follow through with his intentions?

Turn Damian against Bruce and Talia

OR

Bend to the will of the League

The first option gives us Jason doing exactly as he told himself he would, following through with his plan to manipulate Damian during his time with the league and mold him into a weapon to use against both Talia, as revenge for her father's involvement with Joker, and Bruce, who sentenced Jason and the others to a life of pain.

Damian becomes Jason's protege and together they take down the league and the all the bats. Two brothers to rule all of Gotham.

The second option, well. Jason learns to love. Caring for Damian, watching him grow- somehow he loses his objective. He can't remember when things started to change, but Damian is the light of his life, a baby brother he wants to protect. Needs to protect.

Bending to the will of the league, Jason does everything he does for Damian.

You can split these options again. The 1st can come to a decision between Jason and Damian killing Bruce and Talia, or something else.

The 2nd option, it can be split between Talia seeing a weakness in Jason and using that to get what she wants most, or Jason takes Damian and escapes the league running back to Gotham.

But, since these aren't options, I'm looking for fanfiction that might possibly align with any of them. So please if you know any good fanfiction along the lines of any of this that'd be great! Or just Jason raising Damian at the very least!

I really wished it was expanded on in the interactive, but what's fanfiction for if not to quench the thirst for more options and what ifs?

Steph, Jason and damian making crêpe, pancakes and others food together.

It can be chaotic and Alfred supervize them ( and when they had a foodfight they had to face Alfred wrath) but they enjoy themself .

It's a bonding moment and they would make bet for who get to choose what they would cook like the one beat the most villain in today patrol get to choose ( Damian to bake recipe for his childhood and Jason like to bake recipe that he learned from Catherine on the days that she was feeling better).

and when one of them feel bad ( like when they remember their death or Bad feelings because of their parents and their childhood for exemple) they would bake something for the one who is sad to feel better ( they deny that it was them but it fool no one)

I absolutely adore Talia and Jason’s relationship. The mother and son dynamic is done really well and it’s made very clear that Talia cares for Jason.

My stance on the Team Dad Jason headcanon/take is that there's as much canon evidence for it as there is against it.I get where Jason antis are coming from because fanon onlys make it weird and steal canon Team Moms' dynamics to give them to him and use child characters who he's hurt or wouldn't actually like him and they're right to hate him for it but there's a significant amount of canon moments of him loving kids and wanting to be good to them despite his faults(Him building up a good relathionship with Damian,him instantly getting along with Duke and riding for him-And i don't wanna to get 'infantalization' allegations because Duke was 16 when they met and Jason was 21 so speaking from experience Jason views him as a little kid even though he isn't and 16 is mentally and physically a child age regardless,those here and there instinces of him being nice to stray kids,him killing a guy with his reasoning being that he was a teacher who was a pedophile and possibly some more).So the problem is less making him a Dad Friend and more that they don't know how to write him while still making him Jason instead of genderbend Helena Bertinelli LMFAO-He dosen't need to steal her and Selina's 'one of my biggest goal's is to protect kids' things to be a good character y'all,he can just be a slasher-adjacent vigilante who's also a part time dilf and none of it needs to involve Mia,Lian or Roy and in fact should not because he's done a lot of damage to Arrowfam lore both canon and fanon and reeks of ableism,racism and misogyny.They deserve better and if that dosen't convince y'all,so does Jason seeing as they don't do anything positive for his character either and relatedly Mia being super close to Cass and on a team with her makes way more sense than he does in that position and Dickroy is a million times better Bat x Arrow ship than Jayr*y.Jason's my fave too but unlike that demonic shit version of Roy,i'm not gonna let that take away my backbone and personality
