When I read the episode description I was going to hate on Xander for forcing Cordelia to date him through a love spell because that's... gross and awful but then I watched the episode and it's slightly less awful so uh good for Xander for not being that much of a creep ig. Even though it's still kind of creepy

Cordelia's hair looks really nice in this episode

I find really hard to care about Bangel because of how gross it is for an immoral being to be dating a teenager. I'm sorry Buffy I want to sympathize with her in this plotline and i do feel bad for her, but not in the way the narrative wants me too.

i think the female characters i'm always drawn to are the ones who are extremely blunt and a little bit reckless, cover everything up with slightly mean humor, extremely uncomfortable with emotional vulnerability, & somehow despite all of this have a heart the size of jupiter that THEY think no one knows about. like if you ask them, they're gonna say they're a stone cold bitch who doesn't care about feelings or the rules or anything because they're just that kickass, but if you ask their partner, their partner's gonna be like "oh no that's my baby and she wears her heart on her sleeve. but we can't tell her we know!" and that, to me, is a quality that jenny calendar and eda clawthorne both possess. so i cannot help but be thoroughly charmed by them both. (pointing to jenny's love declaration to giles where she's like "is it too late to take that back?" TWO SECONDS AFTER SHE SAYS IT. i do truly think that eda would wanna do something like that.)

The Buffy Re-watch: S2E17 (part 1)

Passion

Angelus voice over, while he is stalking Buffy in the same manner Spike did. And then going into her room and leaving her drawings of her sleeping.

They are only now thinking of the de-invite spell? That really should have been a number 1 priority.

Barely anyone else in the school uses the library, which is a shame. Support your local libraries.

Cordelia pointing out that it would be easy for Angel to kill Buffy while she is asleep, but doesn't because it's not as fun as causing her torment.

Willow is excited to be teaching, you might want to hold off on that excitement for a bit.

Giles loves Jenny but her betrayal hurt him deeply, because it didn't just hurt him, it also hurt Buffy. If she had told them from the beginning who she was, then more could have been done to prevent Angel from losing his soul. Now Buffy is suffering because of it. If Jenny wants to get back in with Giles then she needs to make some sort of peace with Buffy.

'Not the same guy you fell for' that is putting it lightly Joyce.

Angelus killed Willow's fish? What the fuck?

Yes be glad you don't have a puppy Willow, you don't want to hear that story. None of us do.

But then Dru turns up with a puppy for Spike to try and eat. I'm glad he doesn't. He is more of a kitten person anyway.

Spike is being infantilised by Dru and Angelus because he is in a wheelchair. I wonder how many disabled people have had to deal with that sort of thing, even as fully grown adults? Seriously, fuck that shit. And ableism too.

Dru is loving the attention and jealousy from both Spike and Angelus, but then she gets a vision that someone is going to break up the trio. Spike is secretly happy about that.

Jenny going magic supply shopping for the orb to help re-ensoul Angelus. The shopkeeper mentions that it often gets used as a paperweight, which is how Giles uses his.

Buffy telling Jenny that Giles is lonely and misses her. Despite her anger towards Jenny, Buffy really just wants to see Giles happy.

Angelus leaving more drawings, this time his target is Joyce. And he tells her about him and Buffy having slept together. Low blow there.

Jenny and Giles planning a reconciliation, oh boy.

Dru is just carrying around little puppy Sunshine for fun now. It does make her less scary though. The pupper is just too cute.

Jenny did it! Hse managed to figure out how to restore Angelus' soul, though probably not the best move in telling him that. After destroying the computer and the print out, a chases ensues leading to the death of Jenny Calender.

Home For Christmas (760): My first advent calender fic! River/multiple Doctors, mainly 13.

When The Doctor Comes To Call (696): One of my first River/13 oneshots but a bit of River/11 thrown in.

When the Wind stands fair (489): My first River/13 multi-chapter and library fix it.

World Enough, And Time (485): A pretty elaborate River/13 fic in which River had a child with 12 on Darillium but hidden it from him and gave it to Vastra and Jenny before heading to the library. Only, the baby gets kidnapped and 13 is the one who deals with the fallout.

Absolutely! When someone took the time to comment, it's only polite to at least say thank you!

I think probably Drowning and Fracture.

Almost all of them have happy endings, I couldn't possibly pick!

Not really, thankfully.

Yes. .... occasionally... spanning quite a range of femslash.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Yes, though I wouldn't call them crazy. I like writing AUs of other worlds, i.e. Liv/Helen versions of Chess, Bodyguard, Lord of the Rings, Tár, Hijack, London Has Fallen... But actual crossovers would be writing Happy Valley/Collateral together (cause it just makes sense!). I also once wrote a pretty mad crossover of multiple Big Finish ranges (8DA, Gallifrey, UNIT, DoRS, War Master...) and put them in the Land of Oz so that was fun.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don't think so and hope it stays that way.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No. I could translate them myself into German but don't really see the point when most people read English anyway.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yeah, done quite a few with @calunalilly now, like our most recent project, a Doctor Who-Lord of the Rings AU :D Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

Liv Chenka/Helen Sinclair. There is no contest. 179 of my fics are them and will continue to write for them!!

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Years ago I had started a Liv/Helen Hogwarts AU The Shape Of Things To Come but as it's since become unacceptable to engage with that content anymore. I doubt I will get back to it sadly which is a shame cause I hate leaving something unfinished but alas.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue I think? Seems to flow very easily but action too, I think, when I want to take the time for it. I'm always surprised afterwards with how exciting it is :D

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Writing enough grounding around the dialogue. I have to remind myself to do that half the time.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

If there is a point to it, sure, but not just to show off you speak multiple languages lol.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Harry Potter.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

That's a tough one... there are a lot I am very proud of for different reasons.

A Numbers Game for probably being my biggest achievement to date in terms of length and complexity. I spent so much time on that fic and love it!

What The Future Holds packs such an emotional punch, I cried writing it. And it's the only way I can make sense of the ending of Stranded and fix it properly.

The Bodyguard and the following sequels just work so so well as an Alternate Universe, I'm super happy with how it all came together and it just works.

But I think, overall, my favourite thing I've ever written and that I'm proudest of is Romance In D Minor. Just in terms of how well it's written, I've really thought about it, structure, pacing and it's just- Yes. It's the one.

A/N: this is so bad I’m sorry works been kicking my ass 😭 I hope you like it

“ do you and the special person have any Valentine’s Day plans Walters?”

“What?” Jen asks from her computer, too focused on these filings to hear what Nikki is saying.

Being a well known layer and Avenger meant that she was busy. Though she was never busy to make time for you but recently trying to find some time to spend together as she had to balance super hero life and regular life while you were busy at work as the romantic holiday was coming up, more people wanted to buy certain flowers for their partners.

What Jennifer doesn’t know is that you had asked some favors of Nikki and Pug to try to get your girlfriend out of the office for a romantic dinner at this new Korean restaurant that opened. Jen was raving about the reviews but was sad that she was always busy with something so you asked her friend nicely to get her out of the office to take her there.

“ do you and y/n have plans Jen? Or did you forget that Valentine’s Day was coming up?”

Right as Nikki mentioned Valentine's day, Jen immediately had to stop work to check her Calender to see that it was the next day and was starting to freak out.

While this was the second holiday you'd be celebrating together, Jen had planned to go to this new fancy new ice cream shop that you had been raving about and was scared that she'd disappoint you, even with both of your busy schedules.

Once Nikki made her way out of the office to her desk, she sent you a quick text to inform you about Jen coming home while you got ready to surprise her with a dinner date, wearing her favorite color too just to add some spice to the night.

Jen quickly googled the name and dialed the number to the shop, hoping she could get a spot which she found weird for a new shop, that she had to call. Just the thing in Los Angeles she assumes.

" Welcome to Manic Sundaes where our ice cream is anything but ordinary how can we help you?" the person on the other side responds in a cheery tone.

" Hi, do you have any spot for tonight around 8pm? I don't care if it's later either-"

" Name ?"

"What?"

" Can I get your name Ma'am?

" Jennifer Walters, so do you or not because I need to"

" Can you hold up a second?" the person says to Jen and a giggle can be heard right after. Whoever was on the other line did not realize the phone was not on mute.

" Johnathan I swear to fucking god, She-Hulk herself is on the other line" she could hear the employee on the other line.

" Emma it's probably a prank call now hand me the phone right away before-", and while Jen is mostly good at being patient, this is one of the times when she decides to let loose.

" Hahaha fake she hulks now hang up before-"

" Johnathan can you please just tell me if you have a spot tonight because I just want to impress my partner tonight if not then just let me down easy," she says while Johnathan is quiet on the other side.

" We have a spot for 9pm Miss Walters," he starts off," uh just get here within 10 minutes of the spot and you are fine. After a couple more minutes of Jen trying to apologize for the attitude, the brunette hangs up and collects all of her things before quickly getting out of the office to avoid the dreadful LA traffic.

You had about a good amount of time before your girlfriend got home and finish the last of your makeup, opting out to keep it simple compared to the stunning dress that Nikki greatly offered to find for you, her fashion taste always coming in clutch in times like these.

With some music playing in the background, you don't even notice that the 15 minutes have passed when you hear the apartment door open and are met with a very sweaty and tired Jennifer while most of the time you wouldn't mind, it confused you.

" Why are you sweaty and tired Jen? " You ask her.

" Why do you look so hot y/n?" She asks back to avoid answering your question.

“I made dinner reservations," you tell her while Jen flops herself onto the couch, trying not to laugh at the situation

“So did I. Surprise?”

You walk to the couch and sit with your girlfriend who internally wants to scream, wishing she should have asked you first about the reservation so she could have done it another day.

" is the reservation for the new Italian restaurant by the movie theatre y/n? ".

you nod.

" Did you get a spot for Manic Sundaes ? “ you ask in the least excited tone even tho you know she’d do literally anything for you.

“ 9pm and they thought I was prank calling the spot,” and before she can go on about the call you start laughing, knowing that she used her lawyer voice to convince them. 

“ Jennifer Walters you are too adorable,” you coo before pulling her in for a hug and you hear her hum in content, always happy to be in your arms.

The rest of the night went well as the both of you had fun at dinner, talking about each others days and better when you got to the ice cream shop and your girlfriend made the employees fangirl.

“ thank you for the night Jen,” you say as you eat some of the ice cream.

“ anything for you baby.”

sorry i put off answering this for so long bc i was super busy suddenly and then i was overthinking about rambling too much about my answers asjfkdj but thanks for asking i love an excuse to talk about characters

Favourite character: At the moment Tara from my rewatch (im in the middle of s5 currently) but in general Spike but also Buffy bc shes Buffy you know

Funniest character: I think it has to be Buffy when considering who's funny on purpose. But Spike is also funny on accident by just being a little idiot sometimes

Best-looking character: Gotta say Spike

3 favourite ships: Kinda hard to answer bc I actually dont like most of the relationships on this show that much 1. Obviously Spuffy, I had seen spuffy posts on tumblr ages ago and I was like thinking oh this is probably not gonna be fully canon and then I screamed when s5 and 6 happened. 2. Spike and Drusilla I just think theyre very fun to watch together 3. conflicted between Jenny Calender and Giles, bc it was kinda brief and Tara and Willow, bc I just didnt like Willow as much in later seasons so Im just not fully invested in either I guess

Least favourite character: hmm i dont know when I first rewatched I really disliked Glory and not in a this is the villain way but in a this character is really annoying me way but during rewatching my feelings on lots of characters have changed and theres a lot of characters that have moments or arcs where they annoy me a lot but none really stands out as a least favourite

Least favourite ship: I dont really hate any ship but I guess Xander and Anya I just didnt get why they got together besides wanting to have sex (shoutout to bangel just for constantly being brought up again like it was fine it made sense for the story but he left after s3 pls let him just leave)

Reason why I watch it: Its felt very just fun and different from what I had been watching before in a refreshing way. Really liked how things would be unexpected but it wasnt being over the top just kinda a genuine fun time. Then Spike was introduced and I got Spike brain worms lmao

Why I started watching it: Basically bc of Spuffy and I saw gifsets ages ago probably around 2013 and I was like seems like a cool show and then I saw Spuffy gif sets and I was like oooh and I remember seeing a video of him having to sing to Buffy in Once More With Feeling and being sold on the ship and then on top of that I found out he's a vampire so I was so in. I didnt really see much of it later but I think I just heard things about it being influential and just good in general so I was like ok I need to watch it sometime and then I started watching it as a chill show while working on my bachelor thesis (ended up only getting to it like 10 years but shh)
