Continuing to be back on my bullshit, I'm rounding out the year with the next installment of my Blue Beetle au nonsense or.
AKA @wazzappp 's Blue Beetle headcanons give me life and I'm yoinking them because. Everyone deserves a little body horror. As a treat.
(Well. Except for Oo'Li, by virtue of being the type of alien (yk more or less) that the scarabs are using for that sweet sweet basic DNA template)
Anyway, following my timeline of Jaime ending up with his second 'upgrade' after the reboot re: Khaji Da's last ditch effort to keep him from smashing into the ground of terminal velocity, Xiomara and Roma end up more buggified after their altercation with the Crimson Scarab in issue...2? I think, when their powers get drained, in the same vein of their scarabs getting inventive with ways for their hosts to defend themselves in power drain scenarios.
In keeping with their power-sets/specialities, Roma ends up with a scorpion-esque tail (yes ik that's not an insect but if she can manifest tentacles Im saying it counts) and retractable claws, while Xiomara has fully armored hands/gauntlets and extra insectoid legs

Happy Birthday Lilia Vanrouge! 💚🌻🌺
Summary: Lilia leaves you speechless even in the dream world.
You felt a sigh involuntarily escape you. Malleus had shown up in the dream, but Lilia had woken up.
You knew you should be worried, but you couldn’t bring yourself to. Everything felt okay.
“I’ll give you a happy dream. What would you like? One with mother and father or one where you live peacefully with your son?”
Oh Malleus.
“You think you can take me on? You certainly can try~”
Okay, now I know where Malleus gets his brattiness from. That’s father and son for you.
You didn’t know if you felt exasperation or if you wanted to laugh.
“Okay everyone! Now we run!”
Now you couldn’t help but laugh as Lilia grabbed your hand on the way, pulling you along with a wink.
Yes, things were starting to feel alright again.
You knew Lilia was right. Only he could handle Malleus, but after spending so long trying to wake him up, you couldn’t blame everyone for hesitating.
Lilia was right though, Malleus would never hurt him. Playfully roughhouse as they always have done, but never truly hurt him.
“Father, let’s meet again. I have many things I want to talk to you about.”
I’m happy for you, Silver. You got to express yourself finally.
You fondly looked at the scene in front of you. Yes, you all would meet again. When this dream ended, when everything would be alright again.
“To the one I’ve met before,”
“Oh before I forget~”
Lilia turned to you with a grin, the dark red in his eyes surprising you.
He-
Only for him to pull you into a kiss.
The gasp you release only led him to deepen it.
“Meet in a Dream.”
He releases you with a kiss to the corner of your mouth, “Until we meet again, Dearest.”
That cheeky-
You couldn’t react before Silver’s Unique Magic engulfed you in pastel colors.
The floor collapsed beneath you.
Not me kicking and giggling while writing that last scene. 💞😫, I hope it made you all feel the same way 🫶💚

Hi! The book you did for otnwas is SO BEAUTIFUL!! I was wondering if you have any tutorials on how do to your own book binding? I would love to turn my fave fanfics into real life books :DD
aww thank u so much !! i actually collated a few resources for my friends about bookbinding so u r in luck ⭐:)
but before all that, i want to mention the most important thing and it is to always get the permission of the author of the fic you're wanting to bind first and to never print any art related or not to that fic without the artist's permission !!!!! let's keep it respectful in these streets yeah? BUT printing your own art though.. that's a slay 🤞🏽
ok hehe to the fun stuff yippeeeee
bookbinding tools & materials (beginner friendly) - super helpful + in depth, i recommend starting with this one to really get a good idea of the entire process (she specializes in journals though so it doesn't include printing process or anything like that!)
14 helpful hints before getting started - very very useful hacks that will probably save you a lot of mistakes in the long run, also i love this man (one thing i have to mention though is that paper grain is not entirely important unless you're looking for a more advanced bind)
how to bind fanfic tiktok series - this is a good one that has a step by step guide which includes the typesetting + printing process
tutorial focused videos
DIY book press - very useful + efficient, but if you can't be bothered to make this (like me oops) you can just use really heavy books or weights
DIY binding cradle - essential tool to punch holes in your signatures, honestly saved me money and also my life, once again i love this man where would i be without this tutorial
french link stitch - easy to follow, has some good sewing tips too!
weaver’s knot - important hack, you don't want your thread to be too long when sewing it's a nightmare
hardcover case binding - good tutorial on hardcover but this one is flatback - it's still fine to follow though if you switch the spine to card stock to give it more flexibility especially if it's a thick book
whew, sorry for the long ask i hope this is helpful enough ;; another important thing is to be patient and have fun !! try to enjoy the process especially bc it takes SO long but trust it's very worth it <3 there's also a lot of materials and tools so pick whichever is the most accessible to you ok byeeee
