i’m replaying the game right now and i guess i just wanted to talk about my feelings about hades if that’s alright? i don’t romance hades and i never plan to but, over the course if the game i’ve really come to love him as my husband in such a platonic way? like in a legal sense we are married and even though that carries no weight to me in a romantic sense that title like solidifies us as a family in a way that makes me so giddy. like mekaria is so my kid to me, not even in a parental sense but she’s my husbands child, he is my family, she’s part of my family and she’s my family’s kid so she’s my kid!!! i love my kid!!! i don’t know its such an odd thing, at least in the sense i’ve never felt it before. but thank you for hades, i love my husband very much, i think he is my best friend.

See I love this. This kind of thing, to me, is the essence of found family. The words don't have to mean what they mean to other people. Not everyone needs a nuclear family "role" to be part of the found family. Connection comes in all kinds of wonderful forms, and that's honestly great. Exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to let people experience when I wrote the game. :)

I never understood Asmo's hair color. In the game, he has light brown hair, but in the anime, he has light pink hair (maybe strawberry blonde hair). The wiki states that he has champagne-colored hair, but upon further research, it seems that people tend to refer to this color as strawberry blonde hair.

This is very confusing, since champagne-colored hair is actually a pale yellowish-orange shade, while strawberry blonde hair is a light shade of red with blonde highlights. What's you're opinion on this?? Cause like I'm desperate for an answer....

My opinion is that Solmare was too chicken to give Asmo the pink hair he deserves. (And also the LONG hair he deserves... I have opinions about it lol.)

BUT since they have deprived us of pink haired Asmo, I always kinda thought of it as light brown? I mean, I'm sure it varies slightly based on screens and devices and color settings and such. But to me, his in game sprite always looked like it had light brown hair.

It's like that shade that's right in between brown and blonde, you know? It's too brown to be blonde but too blonde to be brown... I don't know how else to describe it.

I guess you could say it's strawberry blonde, but I kinda think it doesn't have enough red for that? It certainly varies in the anime and the card art. His eyes do that, too. The best card art gives him pink and yellow eyes each with a slightly orange tinge to them. It makes him look so beautiful and bright! Hang on~

Anyway, I think this could be classified as strawberry blonde. It definitely has a pinkish reddish tinge to it. But it also has a lot of brown in it still, so I'm not entirely sure, to be honest with you.

When I look at this card, I think I would still call it light brown lol.

The lighter parts of his hair still don't have any yellow in them and that's the color needed for any type of blonde (and I would assume champagne as well though I'm not too familiar with that as a hair color). Even the brighter parts of his hair in this card are just the brown brightened by a white light source.

In the end, I suppose you can call it whatever you want, but to me personally, this will always be light brown. It's not yellow enough to be any kind of blonde and it's not red enough to be strawberry blonde either imo.

I don't have ADHD, so I don't know at all what it's like for someone with it! I had to do some research on it, so I don't know if these are actually viable methods of helping, but I tried! Please do correct me with something that might help and I'll add it in this post afterwards! I hope this is enjoyable to you regardless! Thank you for the request!

Farah with a Reader with ADHD

Farah doesn’t particularly know a lot about mental illnesses. She may be traumatized, yes, but that doesn’t mean she ever had the time to research any of them. So she’s definitely not the best person to go to when it comes to things like these, but she tries, even if she can’t always understand everything that’s going on. You’re suffering, and that’s enough for her to know she should do something to help you.

You being this forgetful may be a cause of concern for her, though. It’s not every day she meets someone who forgot what they did five minutes prior. It’s especially concerning when it’s something important, though, like seeing a doctor. Although she may be worried for you potentially developing something as severe as dementia eventually, she’ll try to push her worries aside and help you to the best of her abilities. If you ever need reminders, she can help you. Farah remembers and retains things very well, she’s never had any issues with it since she had to in order to get by. If you need to remember something, she’ll remind you a few times a day. You have an appointment? Don’t forget about it tomorrow, I’ll tell you again then. However, she’s also a big fan of post its and will write down whatever it is you may need and place it somewhere she knows you’re going to see it. I know, out of sight, out of mind, but she’ll also text you and have you make reminders on your phone for important things so you don’t forget. Won’t get mad at you for forgetting your anniversary, she can see that it’s hard for you to remember things and won’t yell at you or anything either. However, she will mention that it was your anniversary, or maybe her birthday. For the most part she just wants to spend those days with you, if she can, and will thus remind you. Again, you don’t need to feel ashamed for forgetting, she’ll tell you that it’s quite alright and that you shouldn’t worry. She’s patient like that.

If you have a meltdown in front of her, she definitely would not know what to do at first. Depending on what kind of meltdown it is, she’ll react differently. If it creeps up on you, slowly making you irritated, then she’ll ask you what’s wrong. Regardless of your answer, she’ll ask you how she can help you, if you would like to be left alone or if you would like to take a small break in any way. She gets it and she’ll get you away from whatever is stressing you out so you can slowly recharge. If you really do want to be left alone for a while, she will comply, but will knock on your door to check up on you every once in a while and will bring you some food as well. Farah just wants you to be well, so she’ll take care of you how she thinks might help. Food is always good, food usually helps her, so she hopes it’ll do the same for you as well.

If it’s a sudden meltdown where you don’t know where left and right are anymore, then she’ll get you away from everyone else at first. While she can’t imagine what it’s like for you, it likely isn’t very pleasant for you to be crying and screaming in front of other people. Hoping that you trust her, she’ll try to ground you, asking you how you’re feeling, what you’re feeling and how she could help you. What happened is also another question she would ask you. Again, she won’t really know what to do on her own, but she tries her best. Farah will talk to you in a soothing tone and try to distract you at first so you can calm down a bit. Whether it be cracking a joke or asking you about your top five favorite reptiles. Even if you can’t answer her properly, she’ll just reassure you that it’s okay, that everything is just bad in this moment and that it’ll pass. She’s with you this entire time and won’t leave you unless you want her to. Asks you to breathe a bit with her. In all your time being together, she’s likely learned a breathing technique or two that might help you.

Once your meltdown is over, she’ll be very gentle with you, especially if she can see you’re beating yourself up over it. You really shouldn’t feel ashamed for something that you can’t help, it’s not your fault. If you feel especially down, she’ll give you a kiss on the forehead and get some ice cream with you. Something like a meltdown seems exhausting to her. While she doesn’t want to seem like she’s rewarding you for having a meltdown, she does want you to be kind to yourself afterwards, that’s what the ice cream is for. And if you don’t want ice cream, then some berries, fruits or a small snack will suffice as well. Either way, she’s there for you the entire time until you feel better.

I think maybe what you’re noticing is just that it’s more rendered/detailed than my other stuff?

this is them without any tones/shading, the lines are just smaller and rougher(?) and there is more detail on their skin/hair. Also, i didn’t mention it but I was intending for them to be older in the above image (mid 20s-ish) so the proportions are intentionally diff. Here’s willow; adult, teen, child.

each of these portraits convey diff feelings and so I just like to match the mood with the line work and lvl of cartoony-ness.

OMG JESS JESS JESS!

New ask, because I just remembered something else that I loved about the game. It's so small, but so brilliant--- in the other routes, if the PC chooses to run up to the Underworld gang during the trial, the ROs will meet them halfway, but HADES (And did I mention you're brilliant?) will take a step forward before he reaches out with his shadows and teleports them to him. From the PC's point of view, they just found him suddenly before them but the scene's so emotionally charged that they don't take further notice of it.

And this is something we know he can do! There's actually several dialogue options in different conversations at different points in the game that reveals he has control over space (including a rather infamous flirt option). Anyways, I think it was so juicy of you to include that detail, and I can't believe I forgot about it when I was so jazzed about it the first time.

I try to include little manifestations of everyone's power where I can. It's fun to slip little things in without calling too much attention to them in the text. Just little treats for myself, really.

I thought Indech was more similar to Bernie?

I know Seteth mentions it to Bernie in their support but -

In a way, Indech's excentricities remind me of Hanneman while he is also (even if we only have 8 lines about him) his own character.

So, hc wise, Indech is the brother who threw young!Rhea in a pond to teach her how to swim (Sothis had to fetch after a few hours since Indech forgot to pick her up) and the brother whose idea of training was "playing catch", aka shooting arrows at his students and expecting them to catch them, to work on their reflexes.

Needless to say, early adrestians ditched his training to follow Saint Cichol's classes instead.

You loved Whirl, you really did, but what he gave you wasn't what you were looking for in a relationship.

"So what the Pit, you're just going to leave me!?" Whirl shouted, his temper flaring, "Is there someone else!? Are you cheating me!? Is that it!?"

You winched as he raised his voice and you wanted the ground to swallow you. You had no one else, but you knew he wouldn't be able to listen to the voice of reason now.

You had to get out now.

"I can't talk now Whirl...!" You swallowed as you got up from his berth and made your way toward the exit of his room.

You made it to the door when Whirl' grabbed's hold on the heavy bottle of Engex tightened and he slammed the bottle against the back of your helm.

You felt pain, but you also felt yourself losing control over your frame and your world turned dark as you lost consciousness...

Slowly, you started to gain your consciousness back, but you couldn't remember what had happened and the back of your helm hurt like Pit.

You tried to move your hand and touch the painful area, but you found that your arms wouldn't move.

Groaning, you forced your optics online. Okay, you could see that you were lying on the ground. What happened?

You tried to move your hands again, but they wouldn't budge. You looked down and saw that your arms and legs were tied with heavy chains.

You blinked owlishly as the panic slowly settled in and you started to trash in your bindings.

"No use trying to struggle." Came a familiar voice and you looked aside to see Whirl staring at you hauntingly with that golden optic of his.

What had happened? You were so scared! You tried to call for him, but the voice that left your mouth was pure incoherent statics that made no sense.

"You know, you learn a thing or two when you're a Wrecker." Whirl said as he got up from his seat and grouched next to you.

"One thing for example is how to make mechs talk." He said as he lifted his strong claw to your face and you flinched in fear, but he just gently traced the tip of his claw against your cheek.

"Another is how to keep them quiet."

That's when you realized it. Whirl did this. Whirl hurt you. At first, you couldn't believe it, but the evidence was right there. He told it himself.

You tried to call for help with your comlink, but you couldn't find anyone else's signal. You looked at Whirl and he shook his helm.

"No use trying to call for help, I blocked your comlink. It's just you and me here."

Your voice...! What happened to your voice? Did he do something to your voice synthesizer?!

You tried to talk, but instead of words coming out, the static voice came instead.

"Oh, you want to speak?" He chuckled as he reached toward your intake, and you flinched in fear, but that didn't stop the flyer.

Whirl pressed the tip of his claw against your intake and suddenly you felt like you could talk again.

"Speak." He ordered and you tried.

"Wh- hirl...!" You tried to talk, but each syllable hurt like a knife was twisted at your intake.

"Yes?"

"I- I'm... orry...!" You whimpered pathetically, coolant tears burning behind your optics...

"You say that but you don't mean it." Whirl said as he pulled his claw away from your intake, taking your ability to speak with him.

"Not yet anyway, but at some point you will be begging me to take you back." He snorted and you felt tears falling down your face.

What would happen to you? Just what would he do to you?

"Hush hush..." The blue Autobot tutted at you as he gently moved the tip of his claw over your cheek, catching a tear with it.

"Ol' Whirlie is going to take good care of you..."
