Long ago, I have met a nijitsune girl named Kitsune-chan on Discord last year on late-September. We've been bonding as friends for a very long time, and she has interests in VeggieTales too! She would make drawings of a few VT characters in anime-like style, and I find it amazing and adorable! And then, she eventually drew a veggiesona of her own, and I later thought "What if I could make a model of her and show how good of a modeler I am so far?", so I did!
This is Kitsune-chan the rhubarb! A veggiesona of her's in 3D made to impress her as she doesn't use Blender like I do, but it's worth modeling! Credit goes to @sailor-strawberry-moon!

idk if i just have bad memory or something, but up until now i don't think there's been a main character that's a kitsune/some kind of fox yokai..? i'm a huge fan of yokai manga and i always notice that they always have some kind of kitsune character, but i haven't really remember any from yohaji.. considering how kitsune are characterized as plotting or conniving, maybe they'll appear in the future as part of important plot..? really random but i just wanted to share :D (btw, im taking this chance to advertise Takeo-chan Bukkairoku to yohaji fans as we wait for more chapters and the release of the anime B). it's super cute and is centered around an unlucky girl who live with various youkai! the art is immaculate as well :D)
youre not imagining it, there hasn't been a major kitsune character! there hasn't even been a kitsune background character until very recently (like post-kyoto arc), where theres a few drawn by an assistant
Tumblr media
but you know where kitsune have shown up in a somewhat major way?
Tumblr media
thats right these girls with seimei are wearing fox masks. kitsune seimei real- (i am forcibly dragged away to stop me from kitsune seimei truthing)

The first proper trailer for Sonic Prime came out yesterday, as I'm sure you've all heard. I've gotten several messages asking me my thoughts, so... here's some thoughts! Thoughts on how the show's looking, and a certain bat whose presence is somehow the biggest news to me.
First off? This looks phenomenal, visually speaking. I'm kind of in awe of how good the visuals in CGI cartoons are getting. The scenery looks great. The characters move so fluidly. Everything's beautifully lit. I could go on and on. I wish the in-engine game cutscenes had animation half this good.
I continue to be pleased with how slavishly faithful to the games the main universe is - to the point that they're saying this is, in fact, just set in the game universe. Yeah, we're all getting tired of Green Hill Zone, but we've never had a cartoon that was this faithful. The closest we got was Sonic X, which I like, but it's hard to look at any random episode about Sonic having to save the extensive human cast from another generic robot and say it really has the feel of the games. Seeing Sonic and co. fight some classic Badniks in a cartoon with (mostly) their normal designs feels special after all these years of never quite getting that.
That slavish faithfulness to the classic iconography also makes the differences with the multiverse stuff hit harder, and thank GOD they're finally showing some of that. This teaser is pitching it as a show about Sonic meeting alternate timeline versions of his friends who form an underground resistance against the Eggman Empire (funny how the franchise keeps finding itself back in Freedom Fighter territory), which is fun and all. Tall cyborg Amy! A version of Tails who can walk like a spider on a set of robotic kitsune tails! Hell yeah! But if the synopsis blurbs about a "multiverse" and "new worlds" and that pile of leaked concept art from a year and a half ago are anything to go off of, this is presumably only the first of multiple alternate worlds that we'll be seeing. I'm very excited to see more of them!
We also hear a little more from the new voice cast. Brian Drummond is kinda doing his own thing with Eggman. I like it. It sounds compatible with the usual Mike Pollock take without aping it 1:1. He seems maybe a little more sinister here, which fits what we've seen so far from this take on Eggman. And Deven Mack still sounds great as Sonic, although I kind of wonder if he's being instructed to sound like Roger since the delivery in what we've heard so far is pretty similar. I get that desire for consistency, but I hope he's able to inject a bit more of his own spin on Sonic in the full show, even if it's supposed to technically be the same Sonic as Roger's.
Meanwhile, the roles for the rest of the main voice cast have been confirmed elsewhere, and they mostly match up with what I expected because these casting choices just make perfect sense. I already know Shannon Chan-Kent, known primarily for playing Misa in Death Note and Pinkie Pie's singing voice (and Smolder) in MLP, is perfect casting for Amy. Ashleigh Ball's one brief line as Tails sounds a lot like her Rainbow Dash voice, but like... hey, it fits! I'm excited to hear more from her. And Knuckles... well, I don't know his VA as well and also he has no lines in this trailer.
But by now y'all know which characters I stan the most, and you know what I'm gonna be excited about. The big surprise here is the fact that Rouge is on the main cast. The main cast.
The cast posters revealed that she was in the show, which was big enough news, but then the trailer drops and she's on the damn team. Every hero team in a kids' show needs three boys and two girls, and this time they rounded out the group with Rouge. AND she's being voiced by Kazumi Evans, yet another MLP alum on this show - this time Rarity's singing voice and the voice of Adagio Dazzle in Equestria Girls. I don't even need to hear any lines, I know that's another perfect fit.
I'm just shocked. Rouge hasn't been in a TV series in almost two decades since she was kept out of Boom, robbing us of the "Rouge somehow ropes Team Sonic into doing a goofy heist with her" episode the world deserved. Ian's even said that he pitched some ideas for Boom Rouge after being asked to pitch more Boom-ified game characters, but it went nowhere. While she's continued to show up in the comics and (to a lesser extent) the games due to her fan favorite status, it's kind of felt like she was being swept under the rug. Fewer major story appearances than in the '00s, not much merch, it took them until the fifth Mario & Sonic game to make her playable. And she's probably seen as less broadly marketable as a mascot character because of... well, two big reasons.
And so, understandably, Rouge is here with a new outfit that covers those two big reasons up more than usual.
Tumblr media
Yeah as a Rouge fan, a person who's talked at length about the fanservice in Archie Sonic, and a sapphic furry artist, I can't avoid talking about this stuff lol
I mostly like the new outfit and think it was a smart call. We can have lots of nuanced discussions about objectification and sexual liberation and the fact that seeing some cleavage isn't gonna kill you and how being the flirty femme fatale is a core part of Rouge's character and whether that's objectifying or empowering and all the other things that get brought up every time a new Bayonetta game comes out. But at the end of the day their main audience is 8-year-olds, and because of that I really can't blame them for dressing Rouge slightly more modestly. I've always loved Rouge as a character the way she already is, but people (particularly non-fans, and also just... Sonic fans who aren't also furries lol) often write her off as "that weird bat lady with the tits that people are really horny for." Hopefully the writing will show non-comic readers that she's a genuinely fun character when used well as a foil to the rest of the cast, and hopefully her new outfit(s) will allow people to focus on that.
I do think something's a little off with the new outfit, though, even if I think it looks solid overall. Is it just that the heart motif is more abstract and less of a central focus here? That might be part of it. Maybe the suit just looks slightly overdesigned next to Team Sonic. Unsurprisingly I've also already seen multiple pieces of fanart giving this outfit a boob window, with one arguing that showing more of her skin tone on her torso gives the design better color balance, and... yeah, on that level I do kinda agree lol. Although I think a similar balance could be achieved just by having her upper arms be exposed or something. (Which is a feature on her bad timeline counterpart's outfit!) But, yeah, overall I do think I like it.
I also don't think they actually made her boobs smaller compared to most of her modern appearances despite the many, many, MANY claims to the contrary but I am not getting into that debate lol. Also she's literally still wearing a skintight catsuit and doing cool flying kicks you are not allowed to say they made her less hot
The fact that they're putting Rouge front and center has me VERY curious about her future prospects in the movie universe, though, given the particular projects currently in the works. To me, this makes it seem WAY more likely than it previously did. But who knows?
Uhhh anyway yeah the show looks good. I like pretty much everything we've seen so far. I like basically all of the previous Sonic cartoons except Underground to some extent, but if they stick the landing with this one then it seems like it'll pretty easily be the best one. I guess it's kinda lame that they made Sonic say "gotta go fast" in the trailer, but idk, it's a modern Sonic project, they gotta pay the obligatory lame meme toll. I am mostly fixated on Rouge because she's one of my favorite characters and her being on the main team is somehow the biggest curveball this show's previews have thrown so far, like seriously what.

The Fox and the Sun
Tumblr media
Demon and Demon Slayer in one? A paradox, but you were the living proof. For two good centuries, you served the Demon Slayer Corps as the Fox-Hashira, only in your mind your revenge against the Demon King, who had made you a demon. It took a kind boy with the sun in his soul to remind yourself of your humanity. Fox-Demon!ReaderXTanjiro Kamado
Tumblr media
I gave the Spider Family a big sister so Reader-Chan had to fight someone. Hope you all are okay with that.
Now on with the story.
Chapter 1: The Fox Hashira
When you and your two Hashira colleagues arrived on Mt. Natagumo you found slaughter Demon Slayers everywhere.
After smelling this much blood, the familiar hunger in you came up. You gulped down the excessive saliva, ignoring your demonic instincts.
You weren’t anymore the monster Kitsune. The one who slaughters whole villages for human flesh.
For a good 50 years now, you could survive only on blood from volunteers.
Didn’t stop Tomioka to give you a worried glance, while Shinobu took your hand.
“All good?”, she whispered. “I have a blood bag with me in any case.”
 You squeezed her hand.
“I would appreciate it.”
You didn’t want to risk anything. Better have a full belly to be on the safer side.
Wordless Shinobu handed you the blood bag and you started right away to drink it.
Ah, B negative.
Tasty.
Tactful both Tomioka and Shinobu let you drink in peace, not commenting on it, while they talked with each other. Well, Shinobu talked and Tomioka just stared at the dead bodies.
“Were you acquainted with any of them?”, the female Hashira wondered. “There don’t seem to be any survivors around here. We were advised that several rookie Mizunoto had joined the battle, but they might be dead by now, don’t you think?”
“As soon as Inari-San is done, we go.”, answered her Tomioka simply.
You gulped down the last bit of blood and nodded.
“Let’s go.”
You three started to run through the forest.
“Isn’t the moon lovely?”, asked Shinobu.
She and her small talk.
You humored her. “Indeed.”
You could see how she smiled at you.
“Since we’ve been given this joint mission, let’s try to get along.”, she directed her next words to Tomioka.
You and her got along without problems.
Since you joined the Demon Slayer Corps you had been friends with the family Kocho. You remember holding Shinobu as a little baby in your arms, while…while you gave Kanae a piggyback ride.
No matter how many deaths you witnessed, it always hurt to lose people.
And in your long life, you had lost a lot of beloved people.
Tomioka answered Shinobu with a simple: “I’m only here to slay some demons.”
“How callous of you!”, she tutted then turned to you two. “All right, then, let’s split up here. I shall proceed from the west.”
“I will take the north.”, you offered.
The only male agreed and you all were off to your directions.
Soon you found yourself in a clearing, which made you wrinkle your nose in disgust.
These were once human bodies, but they were melted like ice cream in the hot summer sun.
Thankful you weren’t that distracted by the rotten smell and scene before you because you clearly heard how someone tried to spit on you.
No kidding.
In an elegant flick-flack, you jumped to safety, drawing your Katana.
“Ara, ara, little human, stay still, it won’t hurt much.”, promised a female voice.
It was a young woman with white hair in an elegant bun. She wore a pretty white kimono with some red details. Her face was painted with red circles.
A lower demon.
Spider.
You smelled it in the air around her.
One of your Blood Demon Arts was transformation, like the Kitsune from folklore. Besides the whisker marks on your cheek, you appeared to anyone completely human. Nothing gave away your demonic existence.
Only a high-ranking Upper Moon and Muzan self could see through your illusion.
“Mmh, you are a cute one.”, cooed the Spider-Demon. “Sadly I have to kill you.”
Her cheeks became round and she spits at you a fountain that could only be poison.
You were more than ready for her.
Total concentration! Fox-Breathing! Third Form! Up and About!
It seemed like you vanished on the spot, only to appear over her, on your side two copies of yourself. The first copy slashed her from left to right, the second from right to left and you slashed her neck.
The demon was dead before she realized what happened.
Calmy you sheeted your Katana, watching how she dissolved in million pieces.
This wasn’t the Lower Moon of this mountain.
So you kept on searching.
On your search, you found Demon Slayer comrades imprisoned in spider webs and even in giant balls of spider threads. You cut through all and saved their lives.
You order the freed prisoners to wait for the Kakushi and kept searching for the Lower Moon.
That’s when you heard one of the kasugai crows calling loudly: “Tanjiro and the demon Nezuko are to be taken back to headquarters alive!”
Shocked you stopped and stared at the crow flying over your head.
Did you hear right?!
“Tanjiro, dressed in a checkered haori, with a scar on his forehead! Nezuko, a female demon with a bamboo muzzle! Bring them back! Bring them back!”
You did!
What could this all mean?!
You didn’t think and let your instinct wash over you.
In one second you were running on two human legs in the next you took the form of a fox as big as a horse, racing through the forest to find this demon named Nezuko.
Was she like you?
Why else would they keep a demon alive?
You run as fast as you could, soon reaching a familiar girl with a side ponytail and a butterfly clip in her hair.
You transformed back into your human form, reaching her.
“Kanao-Chan.”, you called and she turned to you. You could now see over what she had been crouching.
It looked like a little pretty girl with a bamboo muzzle.
That must be Nezuko, the description of her and what you smelled told you all.
Kanao made a deep bow.
“Inari-Sama.”
You patted her head and once again asked her to drop this. You know Kanao since she was a little girl, she didn’t need to bow before you and give you the Sama title.
You told Kanao you would take over now and she should help with the Kakushi.
Of course, she did as she was told, so you could crouch down to Nezuko’s level.
She had wonderful pink eyes, looking at you in curiosity. Her little nose moved, she smelled the air, then gave you a surprised look.
No…she couldn’t tell?
Could she?
“Do you know…I’m like you?”, you asked her quietly.
Nezuko gave you a tiny nod, making cute noises.
Gosh, she was adorable.
“Come. Can I pick you up and then let’s find your brother.”, you cooed at her sweetly.
Like a toddler, she raised her arms and you place her on your hip.
Strange.
She felt warm.
Like a sunray.
That was untypical for a demon.
Nezuko was really like you it seemed.
Together you picked up a wooden box in which, Nezuko crawled in after the sun began to rise.
So she still wasn’t immune to sunlight.
You wonder for how long she had been a demon.
“Inari-Sama, Inari-Sama!”, voices called for you.
It was two Kakushi, one had a boy with a scar and checkered haori over his shoulder.
“This must be the brother of my little demon friend in the box.”, you mussed.
The boy had a soft but handsome face. You really liked his hair color. Dark red was something unique.
Also, you felt warm coming from him. Warm like the sun.
He was as strange as his sister.
Human didn’t feel so warm to you, but the presence of the boy seemed to nearly burn you.
Curious, simply curious.
Tumblr media
It was now fully morning and you stand beside Mitsuri and the other Hashira around the sleeping Tanjiro in the Demon Slayer Headquarters.
Goto from the Kabushi tried to wake him up. Not gently mind you. He seemed one step away from kicking the young boys behind.
Finally, he woke up, staring in utter confusion at you all.
“Bummer. I heard he was a Demon Slayer with a demon in tow, so I was looking forward to seeing someone more flamboyant…”, trailed off Tengen. “But that’s one drab-looking dude, huh?”
“Yes! And now, we’ll put this boy on trial! I see!”, said Rengoku.
Mitsuri was holding into one of your arms. You swore you could hear her think how beautiful this all was with Tanjiro protecting his demon sister.
Still confused Tanjiro tried to sit up, asking who you guys were, only for Goto to push him back down again.
“Don’t open your mouth just yet, you moron! Just who do you think is standing before you?!”, scolded the Kakushi. “You’re in the presence of the Hashiras!”
You could clearly see how Tanjiro had no idea what a Hashira was. He must be for a short time a Demon Slayer.
Shinobu stepped forward to give the lost boy at least some answers: “This is the Demon Slayers’ headquarters. And you’re about to be put on trial… Kamado Tanjiro-Kun.”
You formally tasted his desperation in the air.
“Before we start the trial, why don’t you explain the crime you’ve comm –“
“There’s no need for a trial!”, interrupted Rengoku Shinobu. “Protecting a demon is a clear violation of the code! We’re within our rights to deal with him on our own! We’re going to behead him along with the demon!”
“In that case, I’ll be glad to decapitate him flamboyantly. I’ll show you the most flamboyant blood spray you’ll ever see. I’m talking max flamboyance.”, boosted Tengen himself up.
Mitsuri gripped harder your arm, whispering: “Inari-Chan, can’t you do something? For you was made an exception, why not for this boy and his sister too?”
“I’m thinking…”, you whisper back.
The truth was you weren’t sure if you could pull Rank on anybody before they turned Tanjiro and his sister into sliced pieces of meat.
Yes, you were the oldest.
Yes, you were the strongest.
But you weren’t Oyakata-Sama. He called the shots.
While you were having your little crisis Himejima pitied Tanjiro, Tokitou was lost in his own thoughts and Tanjiro self seemed to look for Nezuko, which in turn made Goto angry, since the boy didn’t give you all the respect you earned.
Himejima, Rengoku, and Uzui were ready to just kill Tanjiro there and now.
Okay, you needed to say something.
You clapped your hands loudly so that all turned to you.
“We are not going to kill the boy and his sister.”, you told them. “Yes, technically he broke the rules, but it wouldn’t be the first time the Demon Slayer Corps made an exception. We shall wait for Oyakata-Sama’s decision. So if one of you tries to harm them, I gonna pull Rank on all of you and beat your asses until next week understood?!”
Your Hashira colleagues mumbled all together a yes senpai, while Tanjiro looked at you in aww.
You did your best not to turn red under his pretty red eyes. Red eyes normally meant evil, yet his red was so pretty and soft that you wanted to dive in.
You stopped your train of thoughts alone. No, more than friendship with humans would break your heart. You can’t forget that.
That’s when Tanjiro called where Nezuko was and the names of his friends.
But the only one responding to him was Iguro, chilling like always on the tree with his snake Kaburamaru: “Forget that. What will we do with Tomioka?”
Automatically you all turned to the Water Pillar, who was standing alone a few meters away from you.
“Seeing him there without any restraints is giving me a headache. Based on what Kochou told us, Tomioka is just as guilty of breaking Corps rules.”, reminded Iguro. “How will we deal with him? How should we make him take responsibility? What kind of lesson should we teach him? Don’t you have anything to say, Tomioka?”
Tomioka, of course, said nothing. Shinobu meant that this wasn’t important right now, since he did come back here without the need to use force and she was more interested why Tanjiro had a demon with him, even if it’s against the rules.
The young boy tried to explain, yet thanks to his wounds only coughs came out of his mouth. You smelled a bit of blood in the air.
Tanjiro needs healing, not an interrogation, yet you couldn’t do anything right now.
At least Shinobu gave him some water with painkillers in it. After he took a good sip, Tanjiro told you how his whole family had been slaughtered by a demon, leaving only him and his transformed sister behind. He swore up and down that she never hurt and never would hurt a human.
You formally felt how all Hashira’s looked at you. You know, they wanted you to talk with him.
If Nezuko was any bit like you, you were the best to talk to Tanjiro.
“She never tasted human flesh?”, you asked. “Never? Not even blood?”
“No! She uses sleep to regain her energy!”
“Absurd.”, Obonai shook his head. “Even Inari-Senpai needs to drink blood and she is over two centuries old! If she’s family, no wonder you’re defending her. I can’t trust a single word you’re saying. I, for one, don’t believe you.”
Tanjiro blinked confused, while you all tried not to facepalm.
Awesome Obonai!
Just tell a not Hashira straight away that a demon is in the Ranks of the Hashira.
The snake Hashira realized that he probably thought out aloud and seemed to blush under his bandages.
“Forgive me…”, he called ashamed of himself over to you.
You waved your hand.
What was done was done.
Now you heard Tanjiro gasp for air.
“You…you are a demon? But you smell nothing like one!”
“Are you implying I smell bad?”, you shoot back angrily, which made nearly everyone laugh, and Tanjiro stutters.
“N-No! Y-You smell nice, human!”
“Nice safe, boy.”, cackled Tengen and you hit him with your elbow in his stomach.
The sound Hashira nearly toppled over.
“Tengen-Kun, shut it or I’m telling on your wives.”, you said with a fake sweet smile.
He gave you a thumbs up. Good, he still knew where his place was.
You decide to kneel with Shinobu before Tanjiro.
“Kamado Tanjiro.”, you began. “I’m since two centuries a part of the Demon Slayer Corps and lived before that a century as a "normal" demon. For 50 years I haven’t eaten human flesh and I’m happy with blood. Yet you claim your sister never ever had either. How long has she been a demon?”
“T-Two years, ma’am.”
“Do you see the problem here, my colleagues have with your narrative? I’m a good demon too, I fight against my own kind for humanity, yet it took me decades to be there where I am now and your sister, so young, already managed?”
“I know it sounds crazy, but it’s true! Please if you really are a demon, you must have smelled something different on Nezuko.”
Before you could answer you heard Shinazugawa’s voice: “Well, well, I see you have some fun brewing here. Is that the moron Slayer who has a demon with him? What the hell are you trying to pull here?”
Shinobu and you stood up and face your follow Hashira.
“What are you doing with Nezuko’s box?”, you demanded to know.
“Shinazugawa, please don’t act out of line.”, added Shinobu.
Of course, he didn’t listen and mocked Tanjiro.
“What did you say about that demon, kid? That she can fight as a Demon Slayer to protect humans? She is not Inari-Senpai with over 100 years of experience and even our senpai still needs blood to survive. Do you know what we call that? A total delusion, you moron!”
Then he gets his katana out and steps Nezuko through the box! You feel how your canines grow and a growl comes out of your mouth. Shinobu grips you by the shoulders so you don’t tackle Shinazugawa to the ground.
You were biased, you know that.
You already liked Nezuko, you felt a connection to her. There weren’t many good demons like you and her. Seeing her getting hurt by one of your Hashira colleagues made the demon in you come out.
Luckily for you, Tanjiro freacking headbutted Shinazugawa and took the box from him. It showed how much he really loved his sister. He didn’t care who hurt her, he would make them pay twice for it.
You stopped growling and your canines shrunk back.
For now, you were calm again.
You hoped Oyakata-Sama would soon arrive, this meeting was a powder kettle ready to explode!

A VERY DESCRIPTIVE PROFILE OF YOUR MUSE. Repost with the information of your muse, including headcanons, etc. if you fail to achieve some of the facts, add some other of your own!
Tumblr media
NAME: Shirogane Naoto ( 白鐘 直斗 ).
NICKNAME: Detective Prince, Nao-chan (Teddie) immensely dislikes it but doesn't say anything, Kazuki (Naoto multiverse only).
TITLE(S): 2000 IQ Killjoy Detective (Arena).
AGE: For her canon verse, it depends where in the Persona timeline I put her, so she could be 13-22, but I mostly write her during or post P4, so 16-18, somewhere between grumpy teenager and not-quite-adult. I usually specify her age in other verses, such as the P5 AU where she's 18.
SPECIES: Human. She's a werewolf and a kitsune in some AUs, though.
SEX: Female.
NATIONALITY: Japanese.
INTERESTS: Solving crime, being a detective, building and modifying her weird gadgets, reading books that are related to mysteries and crime, origami, playing the piano, billiards, magic tricks, doing puzzles, putting together model kits.
PROFESSION: (Moderately famous high school) Private detective. One of the best ways to annoy her is to call her a cop.
BODY TYPE: She is short and skinny and underweight. You could lift her and throw her into the trash can with ease. Despite looking like a twig, she's a little more fit than you'd expect, but it's not much.
EYES: Depending on which official art you look at, it's blue, blue-gray or gray.
HAIR: Natural crayon blue. It's a little spike-y and messy in the back, and there are little tufts that stick out on the sides. It's also layered in the back. It's... not a look.
SKIN: Fair, maybe a little pale. She doesn't get enough sun.
POSTURE: Stands up straight, tends to place a hand on her hip or cross her arms. Brings a hand up to chin when she's in deep thought, sometimes paces around, taps her finger or spins a pen around. When impatient, she might tap her foot. Any time someone manages to fluster her, she tugs at her hat, pulling it down low to hide her embarrassment.
One may argue she's too stiff all the time, but Naoto pays too much attention to her posturing. She doesn't want her appearance to reflect badly on her family.
HEIGHT: 5'0" during P4, 5'3" afterwards so she's less of a tiny thing.
VOICE: Romi Park (Japanese) and way too many English voice actresses. Anyway, Anna Graves (P4 and first Arena game), Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Anime), Valerie Arem (everything else).
Romi's Naoto, even with her deepest voice, isn't exactly the most masculine sounding, but she gets away with it due to her voicing a lot of male characters like Edward Elric and the white haired guy from Bleach.
Graves is the most iconic ENG voice, but she doesn't do a good job of selling Naoto's disguise. The laugh is good, though. McGlynn is the best one when it comes to selling the disguise but she also voices Kashiwagi, so do you really... want her to match with Kashiwagi. Do you. Arem... I did not pay attention much to but she's doing fine. I think.
Overall, I like Romi's Naoto the most and I keep her portrayal in mind, but I really do not care which voice you read my writing with.
SIGNATURE OUTFIT: More like signature accessory... her blue newsboy cap. In fact, it's rare to see her without it (hence why I need to get alt FCs to pretend they are Naoto without her hat). She is also defined by her inability to not have the color blue anywhere on her person, such as her stupid coat with the popped collar. Or her blue collared shirt and yellow necktie. Generally, if a detective would wear it, she'd wear it. No skirts or dresses, unless it's a disguise for a case.
SIGNIFICANT OTHER: Depends on verse.
COMPANIONS: The Investigation Team are her closest friends, although she is absolutely terrible at expressing it. Would get along with SEES and the Phantom Thieves, although she doesn't fully agree with the latter's methods.
ANTAGONISTS: Most Persona antagonists, especially those pesky gods trying to end the world.

The rain didn’t stop. Yuriko sighed, staring at the backyard of the Mukami manor. Once again, Ruki had been called to Eden by the Vampire king, and there was nothing Yuriko could do about it. But perhaps this time it was a good thing.
Leaving the window, Yuriko sneaked closer to Yuma’s room. She still hadn’t seen even the tip of the nose of the girl who was behind the door, but she had heard her pleas. No matter what Ruki was saying, Yuriko felt in her heart this couldn’t be right.
“Yuriko-chan… where are you… going…?” Azusa’s voice stopped Yuriko just when she was about to move to the hallway, leading toward Yuma’s room.
“Umh… I was going to pick up a book from Ruki’s study…”
Azusa stepped in front of Yuriko. “There are… many books in… the library…” Perhaps he still remembered how Yuriko had slipped from the girl’s bathroom right under his nose since he seemed now to be more aware of her than ever.
“Yes… you’re right, Azusa-kun. I’m sorry. I’ll go back upstairs…” Yuriko turned around, roaming the stairs and finally into her room, closing the door behind her. Sighing, she sat down on the bed, pushing her school bag aside. It fell on the floor, spilling everything on the carpet. “Oh, darn it!”
Getting up again, Yuriko started to collect her things back into the bag. But… there was something that shouldn’t have been there. She sat on the floor and held the book in front of her. The book about magical transformations. It was so odd that the school library had such a tome. Now, when Yuriko peeked at the pages, she realized that the font was curvy, and the paper had a tint of roughness in it. It felt old but not fragile.
Unlike the lower beings, the Founders have the true power of transformations, for they can take the form of any animal connected to demonic species. For instance, Vampires are only able to morph into bats, and Vibora only into snakes, but there are no such limitations for the Founders. We are of higher rank, above all other creatures that have ever roamed these realms.
However, the art of transformation requires skills and hard work. It is not uncommon for the young Founders to fail in this and therefore they must be properly educated…
Yuriko tilted her head to the side. So, this was a book about Shin’s species, the mysterious Founders Ruki hadn’t told too much about. He had simply said that they were dangerous, and should be avoided. But from Yuriko’s point of view, the same could be said about the Vampires.
Turning the page, Yuriko lifted her brows. Someone had scribbled into the marginal with messy handwriting: “Make sure your will is strong enough to recover your belongings while transforming”.
Recover belongings? Yuriko blinked. Like clothes or eyeglasses? She leafed further, absorbing herself into the book. Turning page after page, she couldn’t stop reading. This book was like a treasure handed directly to her, yet she couldn’t completely push away a guilty conscious since she had simply tossed it into her bag without properly borrowing it.
Though I wonder if anyone can even borrow those books in that cellar library… Yuriko nibbled her bottom lip while reading further. Suddenly, a new word jumped into her eyes.
Kitsune.
Gasping, Yuriko rushed further into the text. Why were the Kitsune mentioned in this book about the Founders?
The Kitsune are not originally a demonic species, hence their transformation skills are different from actual demons. Due to their divine origin, their skills are closer to the Founders but, obviously, they will not ever surpass our mightiness. Thus, they remain lesser and are to serve us in various ways as our ancient agreement has stated.
Was this what Shin had meant? He had said something about Yuriko’s kind being servants to his. And what did the divine origin mean? How had the Kitsune been turned into demons? With every piece of new information came more questions.
While the Kitsune are often morphing into foxes, it is not impossible for them to turn into other beings as well. They are able to change their physical traits such as hair and eye color at will and the most experienced individuals have the means to alter their looks completely which makes these foxes nasty tricksters by their nature. They are not to be trusted but they are useful as spies because of this peculiarity alongside their dream walking and fire competency.
I have personally studied Yako Kitsune’s abilities. They seem to persevere skillsets similar to the Zenko. To ensure this stays as it is, it is important to support cross-breeding between these two clans and lure more Zenko into the given land of the Yako. That way we can secure our hold on these unique morphs and use them for the purposes of protecting our position against those who might try to impugn our rule of the realm.
The Yako? The Zenko? Yuriko was even more confused after reading. Were those different Kitsune clans? It seemed so. But then… was Yuriko a Yako or a Zenko?
“Oh! Yuuto said…!” Yuriko’s brother had mentioned the Yako without any further explanation. That must mean they both belonged to that clan… the clan that had submitted to the Founders. “So… Shin meant what he said… My kind are his servants. But… but… I never signed up for anything like that…”
I need to write this down! Yuriko abandoned the tome on the floor and groveled at her desk. She snatched the first notebook her hand touched and started to scribble her notions there, nibbling the top of her pen every now and then. She leafed through the Kitsune parts of the atlas and made sure every interesting detail was saved into her notebook as well.
Finally, Yuriko leaned her back against her desk. This had been a surprise. While it didn’t help with her current problem, she now understood a bit better where she came from. So… a Yako. Her mother had probably run to the world of the humans as her diary stated. Maybe she hadn’t liked to submit to the Founders or something like that. But now, both Yuuto and she were stuck there.
Shin could just free them, right? But… somehow, I feel like he won’t do it… Yuriko nibbled her pen. So, first… I need to find a way to help Komori-san… and then search for the gate. With this information, I should be able to learn to be a better Kitsune. I can do all this!
“Yosh!” Yuriko was about to close her notebook when her eyes caught its second page. Nalia’s phone number was written there.
Oh! She had contacts who could help with the Vampire matters…! Hastily, Yuriko wrote a message to the woman, asking if she could help her “friend in need”.
Now, the next step was to learn to transform without losing clothes… Yuriko got up and started to undress. She tossed most of her clothes on her bed and put her glasses on her desk, leaving only her underwear on.
“I… I can do this!”
Still, it took most of the morning for Yuriko to be able to transform back and forth without losing her clothes. Finally, in the early afternoon, she forced her body back to her human form only to realize that the seventh set of underwear was on her again.
Ruki’s not going to like that I made most of my panties disappear… I have lost so many recently. But the thought was lost when Yuriko heard her phone buzzing on the desk. She put her glasses on, grabbed the phone, and tapped the message.
Come and see me in this cafe as soon as possible!  – Nalia
But how…
Yuriko glanced out of her window. It was still raining but not pouring anymore. Still, she wasn’t allowed to leave the manor on her own. Yet, if she asked for this, none of the Mukamis would accompany her. They seemed to think it was okay to keep the Komori girl here even though she kept crying for Sakamaki Shu.
“Oh…” Straightening up, Yuriko hurried to the closet and pulled out the tightest jogging clothes Ruki had agreed to buy her. She dressed up as fast as possible, grabbing her phone and a tiny tote bag with her. Pushing the phone into her bra, she hurried to get her sneakers from the entrance hall.
“Yuriko-chan… what are you… doing now…?” Azusa was on Yuriko’s tail the minute she picked up her shoes.
“Umh… I thought I would go to the backyard to practice transforming. You know how important it is to Ruki that I learn it properly.” Yuriko shifted her weight from one leg to another and tried to look at Azusa as innocently as possible. She truly was a terrible person, doing this once again to him.
“Then… I’ll come with… you…” Azusa leaned down, reaching for his shoes.
“That’s okay, Azusa-kun… please.” Yuriko squirmed and lowered her voice on purpose. “I… I don’t know if Ruki mentioned this… but… but… I still end up naked many times during the transformation… And he wouldn’t want you — nor anyone else — to see me like that. So… I was thinking of going to the back corner of the yard where those huge bushes shadow everything. So, then no one accidentally sees me… without any clothes…”
It took a while before the information sank into Azusa but finally, he nodded. “Ruki… would not like… it. You’re right… Yuriko-chan… But stay in… the yard.”
“Don’t worry, I will. Later we can make dinner together~” Yuriko forced the corners of her mouth to curl up. She pressed the shoes against her chest and hurried to the garden entrance before putting them on. “I try to be fast!”
With that, Yuriko was out and jogging to the corner she had mentioned. She already knew that there was a tiny gate there too. It led to a path that went to the forest, and that was her direction now too. She sneaked out and ran for the woods, only stopping when the manor was far behind her, and she couldn’t see it anymore through the trees.
I can’t be sure I succeed… Yuriko sighed and started to undress once again. She tugged her jogging clothes and glasses into the bag with her phone, then focused on the second task. Her muscles were already complaining, yet she pushed past the aching and called out her inner fox. Luckily, it seemed that the more she did this, the more natural the change started to be for her body.
A few minutes later, the forest had grown enormous while Yuriko was tiny. She grabbed her bag into her mouth and darted on the move, hurrying toward the city. Even though the forest was full of scents, Yuriko could detect the stained smell of the dwellings too. Sprinting as fast as she could, her tiny paws patted the ground as she searched her way to the cafe.
Since Yuriko couldn’t appear in a public place as a fox, she stopped at a park, hiding in bushes while she transformed back. She couldn’t resist a smile as she realized her underwear was still on. She took the rest of her things from the bag, dressed up, and then jogged toward the cafe, arriving there out of breath and rather sweaty. A few people gave her a nasty stare but for once in her life, she didn’t care. Instead, she searched for Nalia with her gaze and almost rushed to the woman’s table.
“Did you have to run away?” Nalia pulled a chair for Yuriko and pushed her water glass in front of the exhausted Kitsune.
“...umh… not really. I’m going back right after this…” Yuriko tugged her sweaty hair behind her ears. She would need a bath and a long sleep when the day would be over. “I can’t stay long though, so please, listen to me…”
As briefly as possible, Yuriko talked about the girl who was locked in Yuma’s room. She didn’t mention names for no one outside of the family probably knew it was Yuma who had taken the girl.
“So… the point being, I think… that the girl is part of the Sakamaki family. I don’t know much about them except that they are the important Vampires…” Yuriko gulped down some water. “I think this girl deserves to be with her family… and… and… I don’t want mine to get into trouble. Is it possible for you to arrange that she is saved but the Mukamis don’t get problems?”
Nalia was silent for a long time, playing with her wild curls. There was a curious undertone in her scent, yet Yuriko brushed the notion aside, drinking more water and waiting for a response.
“It is difficult. The families have their disagreements, I think. This could cause trouble.” Nalia stopped, seeming to ponder. “But… I have a friend who can be trusted. I will tell him where they can find this important girl… and I will say that my special friend is in the house too and should not be harmed. I can promise you that.”
So, Nalia didn’t give her word that the Mukamis wouldn’t be in trouble. That disheartened Yuriko a bit, but she could also understand that it could be difficult to control the actions of the Vampires. All she could do was hope for the best.
“Thank you so much. I hope the girl will get back home soon.” Yuriko nodded, trying to look like they were having a normal conversation. “And… I will thank you properly later. Right now, I have some things of my own going on.”
“May I ask what are those? I hope the Mukamis aren’t putting you in danger.”
Yuriko swayed the air with her hand. “Oh no, of course not! But… but… umh… How should I say this…? My brother is in a pinch, and I wish to help him. So, I need to focus on that.”
“Oh? I see. Family is important. I wish all the best to you and your brother then.” Somehow it seemed like Yuriko’s words had calmed Nalia down a bit.
Thanking Nalia once again, Yuriko hurried out. Her legs were heavy, and when she reached the park, she was sure she couldn’t morph anymore. Yet somehow, she managed to pull that off. And when she was back in her fox form, a sappy smell hit her nose, making her skin crawl. The mere thought of the source of it speeded up her steps and soon, she was running out of the city and back to the woods.
This time, Yuriko didn’t bother to transform back into a human in the forest. Instead, she ran all the way to the backyard of the Mukami manor and stopped only when she reached the bushes she had claimed to use as her cover for practicing.
Slowly, Yuriko began her transformation. Heavy raindrops hit her fur, but she tried to push the unpleasant sensation away and focus. But she was so tired… exhausted, totally out of energy. Suddenly, everything around her started to dim. Her legs swayed and her mouth gaped, but no voice came out as the darkness consumed her.
