Celestial Marvin and Human Jackie

I was listening to Skulls by Bastille again and I was thinking:

What if there was an AU where the septic egos are gods. They are not yet prominent and their survival depends on the belief of their followers.

They don’t believe that there is room enough for all six of them so they make a pact.

“If all six of us are still here in 1,000 years, we will fight one another for dominance.”

One by one, they agree. Only one shall rise and rule them all.

Anti becomes the god of war and chaos. He waged wars between nations and has entire cities built on his name and the the bodies of the fallen.

Jackie becomes the god of strength and loyalty. His worshippers will follow him to the ends of the earths. He raised warriors and heros who’s names are worshipped.

Marvin becomes the god of wealth and fertility. Men and women alike flock to his large and lavish shrines begging for a blessing.

Chase becomes the god of family and happiness. There is a large festival celebrating his name and his joy. His shrine is covered in colorful gifts from the children and parents.

Henrik becomes the god of health and knowledge. His students seek the truth and he guides them through their journey. His touch can heal even the worst of plagues.

When the 1,000 years are up, the gods meet again. They’ve changed since then. No longer do they want to fight, they all have very successful followings.

Chase works closely together with Marvin for the fertility of parents and with Henrik for the children’s health. Anti relies on Jackie’s soldiers to fight and Henrik’s students for keeping them alive. Anti’s wars protects Henrik’s students and the expansion result from them allow them to explore. They can’t work without each other.

But they soon realize that there are only five of them there. One of them is missing.

Jameson was the youngest and the one most against the deal. It seems that he was the one unable to gain himself a following before the 1,000 years.

They use that as an excuse and claim that the deal was that if all six survived, they’ll fight. Since it was only five, they won’t.

But at that moment, an old man walked up to their meeting. He wore an old robe and had a walking stick. The gods were immediately concerned, wondering how a human could make it to their godly meeting place.

But to their surprise, the old man tore off his clothes to reveal Jameson himself. He is the god of illusion and story telling. Over the 1,000 years, he had disguised himself as a follower at every one of their shrines. He had spread the word of the new gods while spreading rumors of one walking among them.

He started the first festival for Chase and pointed young brave warriors towards Jackie. He instigated revolts against wrongful rulers for Anti and gave wealth to the poor on Marvin’s behalf. He gave his knowledge to Henrik’s followers and gave them whatever resources he had.

And while he was doing this, he told stories of each. The stories of what went on in Marvin’s palaces. The stories of Anti’s greatest battles. The stories of Jackie’s greatest warriors. The stories of what Chase’s families went through. The stories of Henrik’s students and their travels. And of course, he told stories of his own travels.

Each of the gods have their own name for their followers.

Anti calls his followers his puppets.

Jackie calls them his warriors.

Chase, his children.

Marvin, his servants.

Henrik, his students.

And Jamie, his audience.

Given: Dead Man’s Party by Oingo Boingo

Henrik is a very reluctant ghost hunter. He has a strong sixth sense and can see spirits. He is paid to go to supposedly haunted places to clear them of the ghosts still there, but honestly, if this wasn’t paying his bills, he’d rather be doing anything else.

One day he is paid to exercise an old house, but instead of the undead, he meets a demon. The demon scares him and latches itself into him. He passes out as he gets possessed, but when he wakes up, he finds himself still in one piece inside the house, but now with an annoying demon over his left shoulder.

It introduces itself as Anti. They become a ghost hunting duo, but Henrik is still very reluctant and Anti is very annoying

I know for one of your mini song AUs, you did a circus one based around the Skillet song, but what do you think of a circus/carnival au based on Creature Feature's "The Greatest Show Unearthed?"

Ooo I’m seeing a really dark circus of torture, almost like a music video. The egos all have their act to play. Each one requires volunteers.

Anti walks into the center of the ring and announces the start of the show. “This show will only be as interesting you make it so be sure to cheer loudly! Do not hold back on your applause! Do not hold back your screams!” His smile seem too big for his face.

It is revealed that each act will require volunteers.

Henrik is the knife thrower, throwing knives at his “volunteer” strapped to a large target. He misses and pierces them through the heart. “Oops,” he says playfully with a smile, but is he a bad shot, or purposefully hitting the person?

Marvin is a magician and he makes his “volunteers” disappear, but can’t seem to bring them back. “Oops,” he says as if it was a simple slip up, but is he not good enough to bring them back, or does he just choose not to?

Chase shoots arrows at various targets around the circus with accurate precision, but shoots just below the apple on the “volunteer’s” head. “Oops,” he says shrugging it off, but did he slip up or did he mean to shoot them?

Jackie performs a trapeze act and swings his “volunteer” around, but drops them at the last jump. “Oops,” he says scratching his cheek and grinning, but did his hand really not reach, or did he let go?

JJ brings out his lion he has tamed and has it do tricks around his “volunteer,” but he cracks his whip a little too hard and the lion attacks them. “Oops,” he says, petting the lion lovingly, but was it the lion who snapped, or JJ’s training?

Anti walks back into the middle of the ring and thanks the audience for their time, his ever present smile on his face. Although he had hoped that the crowd would be a loud one, he thanks them again for j̷u̶s̶t̴ ̴w̴a̸t̴c̶h̷i̸n̶g̴ anyways.

Jackie is a young boy who lives a boring life as a farmer’s only child in a country full of magic users. He dreams of moving to the city and learning magic himself so he could protect his town from the ongoing magical war.

That dream is soon crushed when his small town is attacked by the magicians in their flying machines. He runs away with his father but they lose each other when an explosion separates them.

He believes his father dead and keeps running, but one of the flying machines follow him. He gets captured by a large magical hand and passes out. When he awakes, he meets the crew of the airship.

JJ, the pilot and the one watching over him as he slept. Henrik, the doctor who treated him. Chase, the young magic user who captured him. Anti, the one behind the guns and weaponry on the ship. Then Marvin, their leader.

He is forced to join their crew and is taken under Marvin’s wing to explore his potential.

Sometimes, he will travel to him, on an island hidden from humans unless they knew what they were looking for. It was like an island paradise with a single castle. He goes straight to the throne room. There sits Jackie with a crown atop his head. He looks as if he’s sleeping. He has been for centuries. Anti takes a seat directly in front of him. Sometimes he will talk about his travels and how the world has changed. Sometimes he will reminisce about the times that they had shared in the past. Most times, he sits in silence, waiting for his king to wake up

I would love to see more of your Greatest Show Unearthed AU. I don’t want to put undue pressure on you, but I love your creativity and the passion behind your art and stories.

Aw thanks! I’m loving it so much so far! I’m debating whether or not to post about it again after finishing the draft or finishing it completely since I tend to forget about projects after posting it and I don’t want that to happen again. It also takes a long time because the program I use gets super slow and laggy after all those frames

I also want to do the sequel to it, but I’m not too sure about it. I recently found out about the sequel to the song and I got an idea about Jack experiencing the carnival and being haunted by it at home. And then a little very cute short comic continuation of it afterwards lol

The problem is, his powers allow him to evade them. His ability to tap into electrical devices lets him spy on them and listen in on their conversations. He can teleport away from any agent who just so happen to come across him and recognize him.

His partner in crime is Chase, a skilled hacker, and although Chase would never admit it, he loves working with Anti.

They live their lives playing this game until Anti taps into a top secret line in the government and learns about another man like him.

Jackie is a man with the ability to fly and read other people’s minds. He has been captured, but Anti wants to break him out.

Given: Sprawling Idiot Effigy by Nero’s Day at Disneyland

Jackie decided to explore an old, abandoned, and supposedly haunted house. Legend has it that every owner had died in it. As the night progresses, Jackie meets these owners who still reside in the house.

The latest owner was Chase who had died by suicide. First, Jackie heard faint weeping. Then, he appears to him in the halls, bleeding heavily from his head. When Jackie got closer, Chase lunged at him, eyes full of rage.

The next spirit he meets is Henrik. He died covered in slices. There were rumors that he was performing illegal surgeries on people. He followed Jackie through the house, whispering in his ear, describing all the horrible surgeries he wanted to perform on him.

Then there was Jameson. He died covered in cuts and hanging from the ceiling. All the clocks in the house were found smashed and there were many handmade dolls and puppets found all over the house. Jackie finds him ominously hanging in multiple different rooms.

Then there’s the original owner, Marvin. He was known to be the one to summon the demon that has been haunting this house in the first place. His body was never found. He appears to Jackie perfectly fine. No cuts, no bruises, no blood, but he is silent and unmoving.

The spirits start to disappear as the sun was about to rise. But just as he was about to leave, he meets the demon, Anti.

Jackie doesn’t leave the house alive.

JJ lives in a kingdom ruled by the mad King Anti and his loyal lapdog of a warlock, Marvin. He wants to fight back, but lacks the determination and firepower to do so, until he meets a strange bunch of people.

Jackie is known for his super human strength and heart of gold. He leads the group, but can be very impulsive at times.

Chase is a broken man who lost his family in the King’s pointless wars. He is a great shot and very kind, but it’s best not to mention his plans for revenge.

And then there’s Henrik, the poor doctor. He’s amazing at his craft but he’s eccentric and can be hard to deal with at times.

This group has been known to perform miracles before, so JJ asks them to save them from the King’s rule, but he ends up being dragged along for the adventure as well, learning from them and learning things about himself.

He starts wandering until he comes upon a man. He can’t see the man’s face, it’s blurry, but he feels like he should know the guy. Suddenly, the man turns to the sky and screams. The jungle starts to decay and tumble around them. Marvin wakes up suddenly with a name on the top of his tongue: “Angus”

Given: Falling Inside the Black by Skillet

JJ is an unwilling test subject in a human experiment looking to create a drug that produces super humans. He is known to the researchers as #6. After taking this treatment, he starts to have visions of the past. Before long, he realizes that they aren’t just visions. He can interact with the world during that time as well. He meets the previous five subjects.

#1 is- was known as Jackie. He had volunteered to be part of this experiment. JJ gets to know him as he goes through the treatment. He was a success. A superhuman with superhuman strength, superhuman hearing, the power of flight. But for reasons unknown, he died.

#2 was Marvin. Marvin was an unwilling patient. After the treatment, he developed telekinetic powers, but started seeing things that no one else could see. He escaped one day and hasn’t been seen since.

#3 was a criminal who called himself Anti. He never gave his real name. He starts to travel through dimensions and the researchers lose track of him. One day, he appears with a knife and goes on a killing spree. He is shot and killed.

#4 was a researcher who helped in the drug’s development. He volunteered for the position. His name was Henrik von Schneeplestein. He could heal people with a touch of his hand. One day during experimentation, he started coughing up black goop. Within a day, he was dead. It was found later during the autopsy that he was dying from the inside out to heal people. His organs were already rotten by the time he was cut open.

#5 was an willing, but unknowing patient: Chase. He had only wanted some extra cash, but he started to feel other people’s feelings. His own feelings became heightened. He attempts to harm himself, but he is restrained. He breaks his binding one day and kills himself.

JJ, now with the knowledge of what happened to the previous subjects, starts to plan his own escape
