Kitchen Nightmares

After binging a few seasons of Kitchen Nightmares US ("Oh no, don't touch it with your bare hands. Ew. Ew." -- me at the dead mouse episode), I would pay good money to watch Gordon Ramsey try some of Li Ziqi's food. Her meals look so creative, beautifully served and authentically farm-to-table that I wish I could taste them, or at least live vicariously through another celebrity doing so.

i feel like in movies where people from far in the past are brought up in the present they tend to be showed kind of negatively, like they don't know how to use modern technology so they are deemed stupid. and they never know how to adapt and are always weird around others.

but im pretty sure if suddenly there was a woman who appeared and was able to make a dozen different types of bread, sew her own clothes, and recognise different types of mushrooms she'd become famous real fast on social medias. i mean i would watch that.

oh man i hadn't realized it had been that long, but apparently she got into a dispute and she sued her content network. they settled in dec 2022 and people thought she'd return to making content but i can't find any explanation for her continued hiatus :( hope she returns soon!

no one could replace li ziqi but i also enjoy 小芊枫 XiaoQianFeng's channel if you haven't seen it yet! she does cool stuff like making the cat bus from totoro out of reused waste
