i mean, it's a near-perfect scene imo. like my one gripe with it (as it stands on its own) is that it ends what was pitched as a "healing arc" with her still in emotional turmoil. idrc about a kiss but i would have loved to get the hug. not even like, in terms of eo. my girl just needs one.

Continuing off my thoughts of making Sol a creacher, maybe something not cat, maybe dead, maybe spirit. Nothing I want to put a definition on.

Sol starting out as just a sort of odd looking cat. Fairly tall & lanky, short fur except for his mane and tail, male calico type deal. A little off putting, but nothing too alarming. He comes in rare times of peace, asking for nothing more than an audience. He sticks around.

Then the story continues, the clans grow restlessness around each other.. He draws Hollypaw/leaf in more. He casually picks at the threads of the code. And...he makes some sense. Does he look a bit different? His muzzle longer? No, must be the light.

Then things get worse, threat of all out war, each clan for themselves. Hollyleaf & others now listening to Sol's message. He's right, isn't he? But one could swear he towers over you a bit more His teeth look sharper. His grin wider.

Everything goes to shit. War. Death. Can't trust anyone. And a creature, large and imposing stands over the chaos. He doesn't join in the battle, oh no. He's simply there to watch the panic unfold as the moon slips into place, darkening the midday sun.

He is as he is #never seen before never seen after #plus he fits in better with my spirit & magic system this way #What does he want? revelation maybe? #I like the idea that he's not fully the reason why everything goes to shit in Eclipse (which is the last PO3 book in EoS #he's just pointing out things as he sees. Maybe sprinkling some lies here or there. hurting some feelings. #but at the end of the day it's the aggressive and war-like nature of the clans that allows him to do this #whoo so many thoughts #might make Dove & Ivy his children to continue off of the three all being from somewhat forbidden or unwanted births

Currently the cherry magic thai remake is not hitting for me. I really hoped I would like it.

First I realy loved the Japanese version and I was/am sceptical that they would try to make a remake. Because I did/do not see the necessity of it. The japanese version was realy good and was not made that long ago.

Second I love tay and I love seeing him in series also because of his personality and care for the job.

I’m not particularly fan of taynew as a couple, they are great friends and their chemistry worked for me in dark blue kiss because of the rivalry and friendship their relationship was build on.

(I might be extremely biased but I would have loved to see OffGun take this project instead, because I think the dynamic of achi and karan would have suited them better)

I hated the inner monologue in episode 2 while achi was ‘sleeping’ on the couch. Karan actually debating doing something while achi was asleep just rubbed me the wrong way. We are done with the icky cliche of ‘doing something to someone that is asleep’

They changed some more things from the Japanese version and not really for the better. But also they did not change enough for me to keep my focus while cherry magic japan is one of my favorite bls and I rewatch it on the regular.

THATS AWESOME!!!!!! it makes me really happy to hear that i was the source of getting someone else into a thing i like

admittedly i dont play a lot of eos romhacks, and eots is the 2nd one ive completed, but its great!!!!!!! the start was admittedly confusing and, at first, not that fun to me when i first started (hero get your aggression under control!!! damn!!!!!) but once i actually got past that, it was great! i rewatched the ending several times, and when i wanted to see my skitty hero instead of the yter's hero, just recorded it myself LOL and then watched the cutscene

(lettie and didi's actual in-game names are Leditor and Pudding! leditor as in level editor because i was streaming to a modding community when i restarted and we were bein goofy. this did not take away the emotional impact)

ANYWAYS glad theres another eots player around!!!!! its so <3 it consumed my brain for a few days

playing as your hero and partner pair ever will make eots emotionally hit you harder. thats my recommendation. i could Feel the missed potential impact bc i used an entirely new team (never had skitty or totodile before! mainly totodile!)

just realised as i was talking to my wife about the Hall of Darkness and why i can't really stomach the visuals of it. i know it's just a red and black (hehe) reskin of the echoing library but good god, those books are soaked in the stuff.

but yes, getting to it, i realised that it kind of feels somewhat related(?) to this concept from The Magnus Archives, wherein these supernatural books existed. each of these books were usually tied to a fear that humanity has held throughout its lifetime, and so you can't just destroy these books willy nilly because imagine throwing a fire book into the fire, or chopping up a book that's about extreme violence.

There was a character that sought out these books into a collection, and I know it's pretty much a stretch but, the Hall of Darkness kind of feels like something like that. I know it's technically a research facility but like, I kinda like the concept of something more supernatural happening in conjunction to the scientific mess that happened in this place. like something unknowable is at once warding and beckoning onlookers to come inside and read its tomes...

well at least i know i won't be visiting there for a while <:D! i genuinely can't look at it without feeling ill so that's probably a story to be explored for another day

#oc: valin #oc: drone #if she holds his jaw just the same way she did then she can see how the scars fit together. #after the Traveler was restored she allowed her Ghost to heal the flesh. #but only enough to restore severed neural and connective tissue to allow full movement of the digits once more. #the scar itself... she asked that she keep it. #i have this concept that a Ghost would not be able to use its Light to heal when the Traveler was caged. #it is a gameplay component obviously but i think it has no place in lore things. raises the stakes in a logical manner. #and i think it would make a tragedy out of Guardians so reliant on their Ghosts that they have no innate pain tolerance #bar the few moments in which they grapple with being bisected or gutted. #a very long time ago there was a post on here discussing a similar fantasy concept. an overreliance on healing magic or potions. #effectively exploring a more unpleasantly addictive element to it. i found it interesting. #this is not what i am getting at here but i am just pointing out what it reminded me of. #i think a Ghost feeling well and truly helpless if they cannot even heal... #it is what brought Eos—quiet and reserved soft-spoken unseen Eos—to flit about in such terror that had she a heart it would surely fail. #transmatting a few meters at a time as much as her power would allow #letting out a near incomprehensible short-range hastily-encrypted transmission asking of her fellow Ghosts #that one might have a strong and able Guardian to help bring 200lbs of dying weight to a medic. #her chassis is stuck in place by blood dried so thickly it is like tar. #Eos has always been a very tactile companion to Valin. #there is no hesitancy to her actions. when she expands her shell momentarily #and closes so that she catches his skin between the pieces of her hull like two magnets pinching your fingertip. #in that moment she remembers the Dorylus. #strange medicine—to coax an ant into biting around a wound. sealing it shut with their mandibles. decapitating the ant. jaws unrelenting. #she wishes she had better perfected her movements. she has never held Valin in such a way. #she gets a true sense for the fragility of organic matter. from where she is clamped on his wrist she swivels her electric eye to witness #the half of the wound she cannot close with her body. #found this in my drafts... #ask to tag. #injury

Mage (who at this point, let‘s be real, is basically my main one): Durian- it’s kinda spiky and some people like its‘ taste, but some don’t for the rather weird smell, so there’s this duality thing going on, plus selling durians happened to be my main way of making money in Animal Crossing New Leaf and if that doesn’t fit then idk what does. However it was closely tied with privet honeysuckles because that’s his exact color palette and they’re slightly poisonous.

Violet: Apple - white (hair), royal status, people tried to get rid of her -> Snow White -> Apple

Red: Dragon fruit- spiky red hair = spiky red fruit, and the green matches nicely with the scarf. Plus it’s apparently rather healthy as well and tastes sour-sweet which fits the character. Also Red‘s loosely based on this concept of videogame protagonists if they quit their quest halfway through/100% the whole thing and fantasy, slaying dragons, it fits. …tied with strawberry for the same red hair with green on side reason and it’s sour-sweetness.

[Yellow] (I need a name for this pal): Lemon. One sour yellow boi. It’s perfect.

[Blue] (who I may wanna call Deniz but I’m not sure yet): Oranges. He lives near the ocean and there’s this general ocean water sailing theme going on. Oranges contain vitamin c, and the lack of that causes scurvy, which is literally called a sailor‘s disease. He very much does not have scurvy but does have a rather sunny personality, so it fits.

However you did say all OC’s, so as a little bonus:

Tomato: tomato- an oc based on a tomato. Yes really. She’s literally a tomato person and my main oc when I was like 12 or smth.

And yes, tomatoes are technically fruits. Fruit-vegetables, to be precise. They’re officially an in-between category.
