Hi there! N0n-B1nary again with another song, this time more in the Electroswing category. If you like it, please do give it a reblog, or give me a follow as that'd be pretty great. The point of this tune was to create some electroswing that might have been created if AI took over the world and tried their hand at swing, but oversampled from modern electroswing to supplement what they found. I hope you like it! The art for this song is "Les Belles Sauvagesses de 1920 (1920)" by George Barbier (French, 1882 - 1932).

Fun fact about the artist: Barbier was known for his extravagant personal style, as was his entourage of fellow artists, gaining them the name "Knights of the Bracelet". Aside from art, he also did costume design for a Cabaret music hall called Folies Bergère.

Do any of you have playlists or theme songs for your Touchstarved MCs/OCs? Or a specific sound or genre of music that you associate with them? Or an instrument?

I've made playlists for both my Hound! (Alon) and Alchemist! (Jin) MCs, but there's also specific music vibes that I ascribe to each OC. Jin’s had a very autumnal, woodsy vibe — like The Amazing Devil's music — from the beginning. In comparison, Alon didn't really have a specific sound when I made her playlist (partly because a lot of the songs are there for laughs), but now I think the genre that fits their character would be electro swing, something high-energy, fun and showman-y.

#I find this to be such a fun part of character building! #kind of like making your own movie soundtrack #it's also just really fun to think about the kind of music or sounds that would accompany characters if they were in a movie #what music would play when oc enters and the audience will immediately know ‘ah it’s them.’ #does that make sense? #ah screw it ais has his awesome lo-fi study music let's give the mc some unique theme music too #oh! what instruments would be theirs? I know Leander has his guitar and vere has…a flute? oh look I found my really rough song recording from an unspeakable number of years ago

This was gonna be the title track/theme song for the comic but eh idk (??can comics have theme songs????well I say yes for reasons) Still deciding. But one thing's for sure now that I found the recording I can FINALLY transcribe it again. See I wrote down the music around the same time i recorded it ( like ?10? years ago), but when I went no contact with my parents, I ended up leaving a lot of stuff behind and not going back for it and I don't plan to....So that means I don't have some of my old work. But now I DO have this rough recording to work off of so I can write down the music again and hopefully make a better recording. I know this one has mistakes and sounds like it was done in a toilet lol.

been listening to a lot of what i’ve dubbed “massage music” while i work and i 10/10 recommend it if you need to have some kind of Media playing while you complete_task.exe but also find yourself overstimulated by like normal music/podcasts/videos.

only downside is i am now soothed to the point where i am SO sleepy at my desk
