Irodori Sakura Release Lesbian Doujinshi '100% Ice Drop'

On February 5, Idodori Sakura, Irodori Comic's LGBTQ label, published Yuri doujinshi 100% Ice Drop in English digitally. It is written by Pikachi, also known as Pikachi Oui, author of Our Teachers Are Dating.

100% Ice Drop is the second of a four-part series that began with Zero-Distance Snow Love, which Irodori published last November. The series follows Mana, a young woman who just began a relationship with Yuki, a magical "snow woman."

The publisher describes the second doujinshi:

Recently, Yuki has been changing the flavor of her snow every day, and Mana is worried for Yuki. How will Mana let Yuki know...?

Although the first two issues in the series are not explicit, they contain passionate depictions of Mana and Yuki kissing and embracing each other, and so are recommended for older audiences. The third issue, Energy Charge, is available for English pre-order and is an R18 release.

Zero-Distance Snow Love was initially published by Pikachi for Comiket 93 in December 2017.

Pikachi, also known as Pikachi Oui, is a Japanese Yuri manga artist known for her series Our Teachers Are Dating, which is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. Pikachi has contributed to the Syrup, Parfair, Chocolat, and Macaron Idol Yuri anthologies. They are well known for their doujinshi, which includes stories about Madoka Magica and Lyrocis Recoil, as well as original works.

The Puella Magi Witch Project

Witches are (usually) the primary evil force of Madoka Magica and it’s onslaught of spinoffs, and my personal favorite aspect of the series. Despire the series having over 150+ canon witches in its still expanding anthologies, there’s still a lot of empty claim when it comes to witches.

For example, Gertrud is the rose garden witch, but who makes the witch of roses, and who makes the garden witch? This blog was made to answer these itches in the brains of Madoka Magica fans

BL Palace Writer Resolutions

(The BL Palace Tumblr (@blpalace) is doing a little thing~! Excuse me while I answer the call.)

Did you finish a project this year? If so, congratulations! Please tell us a little about it and share a link!

I did, but the direct link doesn't exist yet! This year, I submitted a short story to the BL Palace's winter anthology, which will be releasing soon. The theme is "Cold Farewells and Warm Reunions", and I have written (technically) for both of them.

I don't want to spoil the surprise, but the anthology will be released on their account here. I heartily recommend joining us for it! There's even a fun little commenting competition.

I am, uhh... Planning. Always planning. But at least I'm making progress!

Right now, I'm working on a magical (fem)boy story set in a Spain-inspired fantasy world. I want it to be a more mature story than the Neoclassical anime and manga I grew up with, but not tragic like Madoka Magica and its successors.

I need to do more research on the various cultures that have influenced and are now a part of Spain, but I'm hoping to solidify the world building and move onto cast-building soon.

What are your writing resolutions for the coming year?

I really want to start writing this magical boy story before the end of 2024. I've been playing the field too long and it's time I committed to something.

Bonus question: Pick any character from any of your stories (finished or ongoing) and tell us what’s on their wish list. Have they been naughty or nice? Do you think they’ll get what they want?

Hm... Mephisto, from "When Angels Wear Prada", wants an extra special giant hamster run for his, uhh... Pack of hamsters. Flip a coin on how far the witch of the castle is willing to indulge this insanity.

(Alternatively, a ring, but we all know that's a matter of when and not if.)
