she watched their eyes scan over the page, going back and forth over each line. she played with hands, trying to look anywhere around the trailer but at (y/n). after the first page, (y/n) read in almost complete silence, except the occasional soft sniffle and shuffle of their jacket as they wiped away teary eyes. meanwhile, Maeve watched them, completely abandoning any worries of any judgment of her writing. she felt her breath grow shallow as she stared at the person sitting on her couch. Maeve looked at them with wide eyes, in awe at how comfortable it felt to have them in her home, how much (y/n) made it feel like a home.
Maeve wished she could just say what she wanted to, how much she loved (y/n). how perfect it felt when they washed the dished together after a movie night. how amazing domesticity felt with (y/n). Maeve wished she could find the words to tell (y/n) how her heart skipped when they got sleepy and rested their head on her lap or when they grabbed her hand to lead her through a crowd.
"Maeve, i-" (y/n) paused scanning over the pages. "you're writing is phenomenal. you're gonna make miss sands cry when she reads this."
"i don't think i can turn it in." Maeve gently grabbed the stack of papers from (y/n)'s hand before shoving it in her bag. "it's too personal."
"Maeve you have to! this is the best thing i've read in forever. its personal but that makes it heartfelt and moving. i've known you for years and reading your writing makes me feel so much closer to you." (y/n) moved closer to Maeve, putting a hand on hers.
Maeve slowly looked up from her lap to meet (y/n)'s eyes, filled with deep caring and admiration. Maeve opened her mouth, searching for the words to say while scanning over how loving (y/n) looked at her.
“You have no idea how much I want you right now.” Maeve spoke barely above a whisper.
(y/n)'s eyes widened and they leaned back briefly before clasping their fingers with Maeve's. "you can have me, if you want."
Maeve gently shook her head, "you deserve better, people find out we're something and they'll be a bunch of piss dicks to you."
(y/n) lightly grasped Maeve's chin, turning her toward (y/n), "Maeve, you deserve a happy ending and we both know that you are tough enough for the both of us. plus i can hold my own."
Maeve let out a small chuckle, leaning closer to (y/n).
"kiss me."

fluff #12 - “If you steal the blankets, I’m going to put my cold feet on you.”
You kept giggling uncontrollably as Maeve led you up the stairs to her caravan’s door, holding you by your waist so you wouldn’t fall. It was no secret that you had downed a bit more drinks than you could take that night, but was already expecting the night to end this way, so she had stayed completely sober for you.
You almost fell when you tripped on the door-step and it could’ve easily woken the neighbours if your girlfriend hadn’t grabbed you tightly in the last minute. Maeve quickly shut the door and told you to stay quiet, but you couldn’t help the laughter bubbling up out of you- it even made Maeve smile, no matter how hard she tried to hide it.
“Come on, I’ll get you something to sleep in, but you need some water first,” she stated, gently pushing you down on her couch and heading to her mini kitchen to grab you something to keep you hydrated. In the meantime, you stretched out on the surprisingly comfortable piece of furniture, and followed the cracks on the ceiling with your index finger, completely mesmerized.
Your girlfriend chuckled as she returned and helped you sit up once more to force some water down your throat. The task was much easier than Maeve first thought it would be, and once you had drank half a cup of the cold liquid, she didn’t push you anymore and put it down on the old carpet.
You slowly stood up, dragging Maeve by her arm and demanding cuddles in her bed as you made your way to the room in the back. She followed with a soft smile on her face, guiding you from behind so you wouldn’t stumble into any furniture or the walls.
“Come on, I’m sleepy,” you whined, kicking your shoes off into the nearest corner and pulling Maeve next to you on the bed. She rolled her eyes at you playfully as she enveloped you into her arms, wrapping you both up.
“Alright, but if you steal the blankets, I’m going to put my cold feet on you.”

This is my first time writing for Maeve, so I hope that it’s okay!
1 - “I love you no matter what your brain tells you”

Maeve had been avoiding Y/N.
Y/N didn’t know what it was, exactly, that she had done to deserve the sudden coldness from her, but she did know that it was fucking painful to endure.
Maeve would avoid her eyes during classes, turn to walk the other way if she caught Y/N attempting to approach her in the hallway, she would leave her messages either on read, or with short, monosyllabic responses.
Y/N allowed Maeve to sulk over whatever it was that was bothering her for a week and a half, giving her enough time to express what was going through her mind, before she stopped feeling sorry for herself and began to, instead, feel rather angry about the whole situation.
Especially since she had an inkling of Maeve’s reasoning behind this sudden change in attitude.
And so, that weekend, she found herself outside of Maeve’s home, waiting for her to answer the door.
“Oh - it’s you.”
“We’re not doing this again,” Y/N huffed and pushed past her girlfriend into the caravan.
“Excuse you.” Maeve muttered, but closed the door behind her. “What aren’t we doing again?”
“I’m not letting you pull this shit on me again.”
“Care to explain?” Maeve said, folding her arms across her chest and rolling her eyes, jutting out her chin defiantly.
“You do this ever few months - you distance yourself from me because you get scared that I’m going to leave you,” Y/N stated matter-of-factly. “And I’m so fucking tired of it - I love you, Maeve, no matter what your brain tells you.”
Maeve looked at Y/N long and hard for seconds that seemed as though they really stretched out for hours.
She dropped her eyes from Y/N’s, blinking rapidly as she gave the tiniest shrug of her shoulders. Y/N felt her heart drop, sympathy oozing out of her as she watched her girlfriend flailing for the right words to say.
“It’s okay,” Y/N murmured, moving over to her and wrapping Maeve into a hug. “I know it’s hard - but I promise that I’m not going to leave you. I love you, okay?”

i want to say that i will not be writing every single request. all your ideas are probably amazing, but i might not want to write it as it may trigger me, or even just because i’m not really motivated or moved by the request.

Hi guys! This is just so that you don’t have to send in asks for everything when you want to know something about my blog!!
Do you take requests?
I do! My blurb requests are pretty much always open but my fic requests are open a lot less of the time, but the info for that will be in my bio :) also for requests I’ll only write them if they’re specific and not just like “Write some fluff please” because I have little imagination whoooo
Do you do tag lists?
The only tag lists I do are for individual series, I don’t do general ones for characters/actors as a whole and I also only accept tag requests in my inbox and if someone does not respond to loads of chapters of my fic then I will remove them bc upholding tag lists is hella hard work
What’s a tag list?
It’s a way of letting certain followers know that I’ve posted the next part of a series that I write
Whats your name/age/sexuality/pronouns/nationality?
I’m Courtney, I’m 17, I’m not straight and I’m still trying to work out what exactly I am, my pronouns are she/her and I am English!

Why don’t you respond to work?
I do respond! However because this blog ( @writingfortoomanyfandoms ) is a side blog, I have to respond with my main ( @ijustreallylovezebras ) so that’s why that blog is constantly replying haha
Do you write smut?
I don’t! I’m sorry! If you request smut I will not write it, though if it’s embedded in part of a request then I will still do the request I will just not include smut :)
What does your tracked tag mean?
My tracked tag is usercourt and it basically means that whenever someone posts something under that tag I see it! I made it so that you can tag me in your work without tagging my blog directly bc I often don’t see it when that happens so by using a tracked tag I’m somewhat more likely to see your work (whether it be fics, art, playlists, moodboards or whatever) and that way I can reblog it onto my blog and try and get more recognition for your work if that makes sense! So please always feel free to tag your work with usercourt so that I can see it :)
