Sir Thomas Boleyn was close to his mother, with Margaret writing a letter to him that passed conduct of her legal case concerning her inheritance over to him. In it, she confirmed that ‘I pray and heartily desire you that you will do for me in everything that you shall do for me after as you think best, I will, on my part, affirm and rate it in as like manner as though it were mine own deed’. Unfortunately no evidence of her education survives, although she was certainly present at Hever during some of her granddaughter’s formative years. Arguably, Sir Thomas Boleyn’s wife, Elizabeth, may have been an even greater influence over her daughter’s education. Elizabeth was, in her youth, referred to as ‘sage’, with one of her half-sisters recalled for her learning. It may well have been she who helped arrange an unusual level of education for Anne.
The Boleyn Women, with Elizabeth Norton.

🔥Margaret Butler
I don’t know if there are enough opinions on her for there to be unpopular opinions.
I guess she is depicted really negatively in The Other Boleyn Girl (novel) and I vehemently disagree with that. So…I think she was probably a good mother and a good grandmother and I wish there was just more about her.

Say you'll marry me when I come back or, before God, I won't go. I'll stay around here and play a guitar under your window every night and sing at the top of my voice and compromise you, so you'll have to marry me to save your reputation.
Rhett Butler to Scarlet O' Hara, delicately proposing marriage, Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell.

Fanzine Friday #34: The Feminist Writers Guild National Newsletter vol. 9 no. 1 (Spring 1986)
The Feminist Writer's Guild was a feminist group in the 1970s and 1980s that sought to create a central place for feminist writers to interact and discuss their profession. In addition to the feature article, "The Hazards and Advantages of Self-Publishing Your Poetry" by Julie Parson, this issue of the newsletter included interviews with writers Octavia Butler, Alexis DeVeaux, and Margaret Atwood.

Although Thomas [Boleyn] was also close to his mother, Margaret Butler, there is no evidence that Elizabeth was overshadowed by the older woman. In a royal pardon granted in 1520-1, for example, concerning the Boleyn manor of Fretwell in Oxfordshire, Elizabeth was named as a party along with her husband and mother-in-law, suggesting that she had an equal standing.

there's literally No Point in remaking Gone With the Wind, it would basically be sacrilege, worse than adapting The Catcher in the Rye for the screen against Salinger's express wishes, like anyway. No.
But we live in the world we live in, and what I'm saying is if they got Pedro Pascal to play Rhett Butler I wouldn't be mad about it.

i finally started watching the nanny!!
the reason i’m getting into it is bc i’ve seen some twitter artists redrawing the nanny’s outfits onto Ed and i’ve just started 2 watch the pilot but i see some ofmd characters in each one
Fran Fine = Edward Teach (ofc)
Maxwell Sheffield = Stede Bonnet (ofc)
With Margaret, i’m debating between Olu or Jim but she’s more Olu than Jim so it’s most likely Olu
Brighton Sheffield = Izzy (obvi)
With Grace, i most likely see Lucius since she’s so brutally honest and more healthy in the mind (she’s the therapist sibling, just like Lucius) and she’s so young as well! (like Nathan Foad)
Niles = Buttons(?)
With CC, i’m questioning if i see Mary in her but idk...
Lemme know what you guys think and tell me ur opinions of these casting choices!
