i think el would team up with hopper to test mike when byler get together. she loves mike, yes, but she loves will. he's her brother. her little brother. and she knows first hand that mike can be kind of a dick sometimes so she wants to make sure he's getting as good as he deserves. and hopper never liked mike to begin with, (not as a person, but as a romantic partner for his children), so he's so on board.

they both give mike crap whenever they can. el constantly asks will if mike is treating him well, that she'll happily move all the furniture in his room slightly to the left with her mind if he's misbehaving. hopper imposes the 3 inches rule, and gives will good-natured grief about picking mike of all people. "seriously, kid! of all the nice boys, you go for wheeler?!"

obviously they quit it after a few months, only after they're sure mike isn't just playing around with their will's feelings. will finds it endearing, to know that he's gained these new family members that care for him so deeply. mike is rolling around on the floor in frustration by the end of it because goddammit he just wants to kiss his boyfriend! to have some goddamn alone time with him!!! why does he live in a house of anti-mike psychopaths!!!!!!!

Why do Mike and El need to be separated for them to be “best friends”. They can be in a relationship with each other and still be “best friends” they don’t need to be separated. They are already each other’s best friend while in a relationship. You’re partner should already be you’re best friend.

the way el hides behind mike as dustin squirts in lucas eyes and he in turn screams like a girl. this is too much for her, but luckily mike is there to protect her. 🤭💞

Little details like these are so important. El is so bewildered, but she immediately shrinks into Mike, on instinct, and he’s already tugging her away from Lucas, his arm going around her back to bring her to his side. It’s less than a second but you can see how quickly they gravitate to each other when something unexpected happens even on a minor scale. Yet another example of Mike and El being protective in sync soulmates!

i may get haters for speaking loudly about this phrase but i truly hope everyone can open their minds and aware this fact. Some people said mileven is look like family love than a true love we always say. Ok so you mean your parents don’t have true love? Just because they have “family type of love” too ? Nah, in my opinion, family love and the real true love is always exist together. When you love someone so much you will see them as your family, your safe place. So that makes why mileven is my favorite love relationship in my heart. They are not only hug, kiss or hold hands. They become each other beliefs and strengths. They are theirs safe world for each other souls. And I’m never get tired of being proud about that fact. Every day since the first season.
