I've been seeing an increase of posts on Tiktok and twitter being ableist towards El character and it not it. Majority of these tweets/tiktoks are B*lers, y'all can ship whatever the fuck you want without bringing down a disabled character. You know that right???
Claiming El not ready for a relationship is ableist, denying she capable of loving someone is ableist.
You're basically saying disabled people can't be in a relationship, which is fucking gross and as someone who kins El it hurts. I myself suffer from speech and language disorder and developmental delay, so for you guys to treat El like some infant for the way she speaks is so fucking gross it not even funny.
At the end of the day, it just goes to show how y'all view El and you don't give a fuck about her or see that she a human being with feelings.
I am generally tired of this sort of behaviour from the fandom and it needs to stop. I am sick of it.
On Elmike and deeper connections. So I've been thinking about El and Mike and connections so here's a ramble.
I've seen people speculate regarding the connection between El and Mike and from what I've deduced it seems intertwined with the supernatural. In s1 we see them super close and they are in the middle of the supernatural, in s2 super close reunion and they are in the middle of the supernatural, s3 breakup before supernatural events and grow closer during the supernatural events, s4 fights prior to the supernatural event and making up in the midst of the supernatural/danger plots.
Like that's an interesting trend. Both El and Mike are also referred to as keys. Mike is the one to give El her new name. Plus there is the track 'Eleven' which plays while El goes through Nancy's room and watches through pictures of Nancy growing up. Mike's birthday is April 7th, 1971 or 4/7/1971. 4+7+1+9+7+1 = 29, 2+9 = 11. The discrepancy in the videotape of Mike is 11 minutes.
