౨ৎ let's start from min u and mia! proud parents of a girl and boy who are three years apart. girl is the older sister and goes along with her brother super well even through his puberty. mia is a great mother and her kids never hide anything from her as they know that they can trust her. mia and her daughter have their own "girls secrets" and side jokes, while min u and his son are super annoyed by it and tried to make their own side jokes, but girls always know its context. also, their grandad and auntie yuna spoil them so much!!! and also min u father are so proud of his son and he really likes mia. all in all 10/10 highly recommended to be born in this family.

౨ৎ shelly and jay. here things are more complicated because shelly parents insisted on them move in the UK during her pregnancy, but they decided to stay in Korea simply because shelly likes weather more and feel more comfortable there. life blessed them with a boy - a copy of his father. but he is a mummy's boy and he gets along with shelly more, even their son's first word was "mama!" when he happily squished shelly’s cheek with his small hands. with time, he builds more interests with jay’s hobbies, so till he hit his puberty he was such a sweet child. but when he turned 14? monster that going through "nobody understands me" era. sometimes jay wonders maybe he need to send his son to his mother so she will teach him some discipline, but then jay remembers that he doesn't want to give his child such trauma. by the way jay family calmed down the moment jay was accepted on the really well paid job and even his mother was proud that her son has international family. all in all 7/10 bc both jay and shelly parents would have a beef over who is better grandparents.

౨ৎ when you and deokbong announced that you will have a child, people were... curious - how?? how you would be able to carry his child since you look so small in comparison to him. and you know what? it was twin boys... the birth was difficult but you did it and then you faced new challenge - both boys was copy of their father and they was heavy. you prayed for your back, seriously, but deokbong is super supportive husband and father so he was always there to help you. thankfully your boys were calm. like literally they always had serious faces, fists clenched and almost never cried. with time your younger one maintained your character and more of your features showed, like brows and nose form, cheeks, and face shape. all in all 10/10 you four would be happy simple sport family!!

౨ৎ vinny hong refuse to have children. end of headcanon.

but seriously, vinny had huge trauma from his father and from bulling in school, he will never be sure that he is enough as financially and emotionally for kids, so you two are proud parents of one big dog, maybe doberman or cane corso and lazy cat. all in all 7/10 just because there are too much wool at home and vinny refuse to go on a walk with dog in the early morning.

Exile. Freaky mass memory loss. In this one a clingy prince grows into an even clingier Emperor. It's interesting because the way the plot unfolds makes you sad. Our protagonist is plagued by memories of her past life, and the man who loves her can't get through to her. No matter how hard he tries. His mental health suffers as a result.

Eucenielle Haldrant is unintentionally cruel. She was born into a loving family. She's half elf so she's strong and healthy forever. Her parents are a famous love story, and her adorable little sister admires her. She's got lots of friends.

She's pretty.

She's great with a sword.

Her family has been living in exile for 14 long years, because of her, and they don't resent her. They know the Prince's obsession was never her fault. When Eucenielle was 6 the Crown Prince started clinging to her excessively. He constantly wailed about wanting to marry her. It got so bad that he started using his authority to push her friends away.

This is a great yandere story, because the adults have brains. They saw and noticed his aberrant behavior.

Eucenielle didn't think much of it. Tes was a crybaby and she indulged him while she researched magic.

Eucenielle does love her family. She cares for Tes too, but she wants to go to her real home. Eucenielle is in deep denial. She knows she was stabbed. She died in a Korean hospital, next to her crying mother. That mother loved her too. That mother isn't a perfect elf. She was a single mom. She needs her daughter, and she was a wonderful mother too. Eucenielle wants to return to her side, but it's hopeless. It's clear that her other body is already dead and buried. Eucenielle doesn't even notice how crazy Tes is, because she has nightmares about her screaming mother every day.

Tes is really pathetic. He's jealous of everyone around Eucenielle. He starts to abuse his authority from a very young age. He follows Eucenielle around too much. He ignores his princely duties and parties to do it, and when he is forced to attend prince things he just screams for Eucenielle.

He is a scary child, but he was also kind and open with her. She didn’t mind his company. Only the adults knew how bad his attitude actually was.

The former Emperor was forced to send Eucenielle into exile. Eucenielle was innocent, but Tes was starting to get worse.

Eucenielle kind of wants to hate Tes, because his attitude inconvenienced her family. Her innocent parents and sister did not deserve exile.

It's such a mess. By the way the former king and his Empress had a loving relationship. He was devoted to her and they ran the country harmoniously. The only problem was their crazy first child. The Empress eventually had another son to replace him, because he was a lost cause. The Empress wanted to bring in a bride from her extended family, but Tes refused his mother. He caused discord in the royal court. He was with Eucenielle so much it make the Empress look weak.

He refused to do his duty.

Tes ends the exile after 14 years of blood and more madness. He has more magic than his father. He started erasing memories. Nobody questions him now. He has prepared the perfect palace for Eucenielle, but he doesn't even know she wants to leave.

By the way the fiance the Emperor and Empress chose for him is still around.

Tes immediately throws the poor girl into the dungeon when Eucenielle returns.

He's too affectionate. He's too much. Eucenielle rejects his proposal again. She asks for mercy. She doesn't think Lady Lily Shyen she die. She'd feel insecure too, if her fiance was so clearly uninterested.

Tes holds Lily hostage to get attention from Eucenielle multiple times. He really is crazy. This is not a light yandere story.

He has too much magic, and he can see people's souls. Eucenielle looks human to him, possibly because her soul is from Korea, so he will never let her go.

Lily's brother, Noss, is interested in Eucenielle. Eucenielle officially rejects Tes like 8 times, so he asks her to be his partner. She says yes, because she needs a guide after 14 years up north.

Tragically, Noss is killed by Tes.

Nobody understands the Emperor. Not even Eucenielle. She has some feelings for him, but she hasn't given up on her original mother. He can't reach her. He has usurped his family. He has become a tyrant. He permanently changed his hair and eyes to her favorite color, but he still doesn’t have her heart.

Eucenielle seems like a reasonable person. I really don't know if she'll forgive Tes for executing an innocent man who dared to have a crush on her.

I don't know how this will end. Eucenielle will have to give up on returning, because it's clear that her other life is long gone.

If you were anyone else, you'd be wondering how you were fortunate enough to spend most of your life in Amai Mask's penthouse. I mean, he's at the top of every "Top 10" list for Heroes, pop stars, models, and singers. Bad lighting doesn't exist for him. And his body looks like it was carved from marble. He had so many fans that would kill to live with him.

And yet, the "lucky" one was you, and all because you had the gall to criticize him. To refuse him.

You were dragged to a dumb concert by a friend who'd won two tickets, and you had the nerve to open your fat mouth while waiting in the backstage line. That was the crime that warranted you being kidnapped, imprisoned, and hurt in ways you never imagined.

"Look, I have celebrities I crush on that you don't think are attractive, and this guy is yours," you'd said diplomatically. "I just don't get the appeal of a guy who's so dedicated to a facade that he named himself after it."

"Oh, come on," your friend groaned. "His name is about his appearance! Like, he looks so sweet, but it's a mask to hide how badass he is and how violent he gets with monsters."

"Yeah, I'm sure he can punch monsters real good," you replied sarcastically. "Plenty of Heroes punch monsters without turning their job as a civil servant into an entertainment career. Doesn't that make you feel...weird? It's like if a K-Pop idol was also in the milit--"

"Compulsory service is a thing in South Korea," your friend quipped.

You crossed your arms. "Okay, bad example. Imagine if a K-Pop idol was a firefighter, or a cop, or a fed. Which he is, technically."

"Gawd, I'd kill to see him in a uniform," she sighed. "Can you imagine? Holding those cuffs..."

"I'm sure the guy who beats criminal Monsters to death would show restraint and use nonlethal force like handcuffs. Well, if you're a human, he probably would. Though if you're not hot by typical standards I could see him being rough, just because you're not quite as human as the Pretty People."

"You say that like it's a bad thing. Getting roughed up by him after he cuffs me? The crime rate would go wayyy up just for people dying to get that chance~"

You rolled your eyes. "Can anyone in this line explain to me how this guy is hot in a way that's totally distinct from every other idol? Apart from the fact that he has a different serial number from the others that came from the same entertainment industry factory?"

"Okay, Daria," your friend said with a smirk. "Just because you're too good to be into idols doesn't mean we aren't."

"I'm fine with idols, just not ones like...him," you retorted. "Either be an entertainer or be an enforcer of the government. I'm not a conspiracy theorist but with his influence, he could get away with all sorts of dirty shit. And he's probably done way worse than the typical police brutality against Monsters." You crinkled your nose at the countless posters, CDs, t-shirts, figures, all bearing his aesthetically perfect and boringly pretty face. "He just seems so hollow, you know? I almost feel bad for him."

Your friend snorted. "You sure sound like it."

"Look, let's say for the sake of argument that he is using a persona all the time. He's an agent of the federal government AND an idol, both being industries that exploit the shit out of everyone inside. And he's so stuck inside that he can never express any genuine emotion that doesn't look good. Imagine not being able to feel or express shit that everyone else on the planet gets to: you can't feel anything without immediately wondering what you look like and adjusting so you don't look ugly while you feel it."

"So you're saying he self-monitors as much as your average woman?"

"In a Naomi Wolf sort of way, yes," you replied with a smirk. "Even if the guy is annoying, I also feel bad for him if that's how he lives. Imagine having such a complex that you think being ugly is the worst thing in the world. I'm not a prize, but your average ugly person probably hates themselves way less than he does when he's alone." You felt a smile creep up on your face. "Wouldn't it be the dumbest and most delicious bit of irony if he hated Monsters so much because they don't hide their ugliness as well as he does? Like a Japanese Gaston."

Your friend pouted. "Aww...you're just making me love him even more. Maybe he just needs someone to see the real him and help him love the real him. Someone who's an armchair psychologist like you!

"And now, the Armchair Psychologist is noting that we've moved to the classic I Can Fix Him route. My non-professional advice is to just ogle him with detachment and not think too much, lest you get too depressed and ruin the relationship between fan and idol-cop on a pedestal. No guy is worth it, especially him." You suddenly hear a chorus of screaming around you that makes you wince. "Goddammit! He isn't worth this tinnitus either!"

Your friend giddily jumped up and down to get a better look at Amai Mask waving as the line started to move again. "I beg to differ," she sang. "Ooh, he put his hair up in a little man-bun!"

Amai Mask took the mint-infused water bottle that an assistant had given him with a smile; once they'd turned around to scurry to the next task, he dropped it immediately and sipped it. Just two more hours and he could go home and rest for a bit before meeting with his management crew to plan everything for next month: tours, photoshoots, a briefing with the other Top-Ranked Heroes at the Association...

He sighed and dabbed at the bit of sweat forming on his brow with his neck towel. He loved pleasing his fans with an appearance, but even he needed to rest sometimes.

"Five minutes," his manager warned. "You need anything before you head back out there? I can push it back if you want hair and makeup to pop in."

Amai shook his head and set down the water bottle to put his hair up into a loose bun, carefully letting a few pieces fall to frame his cheekbones. "No, just this," he replied, frowning at his manager. "You should know by now that I don't like that level of prep for autograph signings. They want something intimate and personal, something casual." He applied a bit of tinted lip balm to complete the look. "This should be perfect."

"When are you not?" His manager smirked and checked his watch. "See you out there."

Amai heard him walk off and leaned against the barrier separating the queue from the behind-the-scenes area, closing his eyes. For a man as busy as him, these brief little moments during the day were the closest he got to relax when he had a tight schedule. Plus, the chatter of people made for a nice background noise.

"I've streamed his new album, like, a zillion times--"

"Did you see the pics of him from that charity gala? His suit was so--"

"Is it too much if I ask him to sign my dakimakura?"

He covered his mouth to hide how his face crinkled as he snorted. That wasn't even the weirdest thing he'd signed this month from a fan.

"I just don't get the appeal of a guy who's so dedicated to a facade that he named himself after it."

He raised an eyebrow. Someone like that was at one of his events? Normally he heard these things from random drama videos or read them online. The more vitriolic, the funnier it was to see how much they seethed over his success and talent. Hearing it in person wasn't that rare, but it was a small surprise; normally they didn't pay for his concert tickets.

He heard a woman next to them speak up in his defense, obviously a fan. Ah, he understood it now--the first voice was someone dragged here by a friend. He tried to imagine what the two of them looked like: the fan dressed in a concert t-shirt, maybe some merch as accessories, and the cynic in drab shapeless clothing, maybe a shirt depicting a musician they thought was sooo much deeper than his music. A wardrobe that came out of thrift stores and secondhand shops, complete with an imaginary pat on the back for being oh-so ethical in their nonexistent fashion.

The more they talked though, the more he was dragged out of his little 5-minute meditation. The background noise of the others melted away as he found himself focusing on what these two were saying. It was annoying, but nothing he hadn't heard before from his critics.

"He just seems so hollow, you know? I almost feel bad for him."

His eyes shot open. Suddenly he found himself staring at the mirror he'd just used to put his hair up. Every other jab stung, but just barely. Why was he even listening to this nobody? They were pretending to feel bad for him, just as hypocritical as they said he was. He took another sip of water and massaged his temples when he noticed he was narrowing his eyes into near-slits in the mirror. Shit, he didn't want to look wrinkled and stressed during the signing. He had some eye cream in his bag; he just needs to ignore them, dab this on, and relax for the rest of his--

"He's so stuck inside that he can never express any genuine emotion that doesn't look good."

The hand that was reaching for his bag's zipper froze. He bit his tongue and felt a pulsing in his temples. Shit. SHIT. If he felt that, then that meant--

He willed himself to look into the mirror and fought the urge to vomit as he saw a small vein starting to rise next to his left eyebrow. This stupid, ignorant bitch was actually getting to him. Why? Why? He can just ignore them.

"I also feel bad for him if that's how he lives. Imagine having such a complex that you think being ugly is the worst thing in the world. I'm not a prize, but your average ugly person probably hates themselves way less than he does when he's alone."

He had to clench his fists to keep from punching through the barrier and crushing their skull to shut them up. Someone like this had NO right to feel pity for HIM. No shit, they weren't a prize. Being ugly on the outside and inside, and that smugness, that audacity to pretend they feel bad for him--HIM, their better in every possible way?

His hands tightened to the point that he felt like his bones were about to pop through his skin. The pulsing in his temples was unbearable, but he couldn't bear to look in the mirror to see how bad the vein had gotten. He had to get away from them. He had to shut them out, to be better and ignore them. He took another swig of his drink and headed back to where he'd left the signing table, massaging his temples with a bit of medicated cold-pressed cream. Soon he felt the pulsing subside, and after a few minutes of breathing, he was back to normal.

He came out again and felt a wave of comfort as he heard his fans screaming for him. This was his comfort zone, exactly where he was supposed to be. He was in his element. That little worm was in his world, and while he had to fight the urge to scan the crowd for them, he suppressed a chuckle at the thought of them feeling so out of place and uncomfortable among the throngs of screeching fans surrounding them.

"Thank you for waiting," he said with a warm smile. "Sorry for the long break, but I can't wait to meet the rest of you all!"

Another round of screams rang out as he settled into his chair and chatted mindless pleasantries and feigned intimacy with the fans at the front of the line, signing things so quickly and expertly as if his hand had a mind of its own. As the line progressed, he tried to listen for the voices of that particular duo to see if his image of that nobody were accurate.

When he spied a woman in a t-shirt from last year's concert standing next to a more subdued one in a flavorless top and jacket, he knew he'd found them. Once they finally reached the front of the line, he made sure to give the fan a sweet smile and take their hand as they handed him a film poster with shaking fingers. "Thank you so much for coming," he said kindly. "Ooh, this poster takes me back. I had a lot of fun filming this one. What's your name?"

"You touched my wrist," the fan whispered. She shook her head. "I mean, uh, that's not my name. Not Wrist. It's, um...oh God, uh--"

"Shizuka," the Cynic interjected. "Her name is Shizuka."

The fan nodded eagerly. "Yep! That's it."

Amai Mask smiled and signed the poster. "So, did you enjoy the concert, Shizuka?"

"Ohmygod-you-said-my-name--I, um, yes! I went to one last year but this set had all my favorite songs, and it was just so...Wow! You're a natural onstage, like...a real showman, you know?"

"People say that a lot," he replied with a hint of feigned humility. "I'm just grateful that what I'm good at coincides with my job. I love performing for everyone, especially fans like you that tell me how you enjoyed it."

The Cynic struggled to roll her eyes as her friend fawned over him. He turned his gaze to them and smiled, holding his pen up. "Did you have something for me too, Miss...?"

"____. And no thanks," she replied awkwardly. "I just came with her since she won an extra ticket. But like she said, you're a uh...real showman." She tried to sound somewhat enthused, but she wasn't as good an actor as he was. "You must have down a couple litres of water in between songs with everything you do up there. I was exhausted just watching you do your thing up there!"

More false concern and acting like she's so cool and detached. He let out a small chuckle. "I like to think I get energy from my fans, but the water and electrolyte drinks in between sets help too." His golden eyes shone strangely for a moment. "I do feel bad that you came all this way and waited in line just to walk away with nothing special, though."

He stood up and to the delighted and surprised screams of the crowd (and Shizuka), he took out his phone and handed it to his assistant before putting an arm over each of the duo while he posed in the middle with a dazzling smile. The assistant snapped several pictures and immediately chose the best looking ones to post to Amai Mask's promotional account for his concert tour. "Once you see this online, could you comment on the post and let me know you saw it? That way I'll know your usernames!"

Shizuka nodded furiously, trying not to cry too hard from joy as she felt Amai Mask's hand on her shoulder and imagined how perfect they would look in a picture together side-by-side. ____ felt Amai Mask tilt his head and whisper something into her ear that made her blood run cold.

"Thanks for coming, Armchair Psychologist."

And then died housing their ex’s fetus in their man-made womb. Wonderful.

Kenjaku is a genderless brain thing that took over the main character's (Itadori) mom and got laid by the main Itadori's dad in order ot enact her evil plan for the future. Truest deadbeat mom in the world she leaves soon after giving birth and Itadori doesn't know who his mom is. But wow she's kind of hot I can't lie. She's got game, she's hot and she's ambitious with her goals in life? Queen of my heart.

Nolan grew up with a loving family as an only child. He's named after his father's American friend who passed in a car accident. His parents were loving and tried raising him to be accepting and understanding of all genders and all sexualities. They don't know what went wrong. He left his hometown in South Korea to attend college to become a doctor, where he met his wife, Tamaya. When they married, he took her last name. He rarely visited home because of job and relationship with his parents.

Nolan's misogynistic views and narcissistic ways dictated how Nicholas and Lillian grew up. He restricted their childhoods from what he deemed evil or unfitting for "their characters". His relationship with his kids is close to non-existent. He's the reason Nicholas is so out of tune with his emotions and Lillian is so accepting of strangers.

When they moved back to South Korea, Nolan made sure they stayed away from his parents. He couldn't stop Lillian from speaking to them when they eventually met up in a store. Nolan's bond with his parents is completely shattered, but his children enjoyed running away to visit grandma on the weekends.

Whenever their parents allowed Nichola to leave, he'd bring his sister, and she'd get him to meet her friends so they could help keep him from being "brainwashed" by their parents. Bio

As a child, she was a ray of happiness, learning to play instruments with her flutist mother, and spent a lot of time in the forests and mountains near where she lived, camping with her father. That day, she was preparing for the first try to reach the summit of Mount Bukhsansan with her parents. Waking up early in the morning, checking her child's backpack, she was excited like never before. Until bangs and slashes rang out on the first floor. Scream, blood, police sirens. She doesn't remember much from that day, but from that moment on, everything changed.

The family friends who took care of her were lovely. They acted as if she were their niece, and she truly adored them, but the whispers full of pity and the memories mixed with nightmares made her head brain go wild. Her vigor turned into outbursts interspersed with days of stoic silence. What was going on in her mind? Even psychologists didn’t know. She aimed to find out who destroyed her life and take revenge. No more loved ones will be taken away from her. For this purpose, she was ready to make a pact with the devil himself.

The summit of Mount Bukhsansan isn’t the hardest to reach, but for her broken heart, it’s higher than Mount Everest. And she decided that one day she will climb it. The day, when her heart will feel light again, will be a farewell to the past and the beginning of her new life.

Personality

Strong, rational and cold as Antarctica. Like a sharp knife that always hits the target. Distant friends think of her as a machine fueled by delusions, when her loved ones suffer seeing this wounded child lose herself in her own spiral of madness.

She knows survival and self-defense very well and spends a lot of time practicing. Persistent, or rather, damn stubborn. Her trust issues and high intelligence only make it worse, because she became a master at rationalizing her illusions.

Seems to have no empathy. However, this is the result of the fact that she has been through a lot and small problems do not make an impression on her. Deep down, she understands others' emotions well, but first she would have to deal with her own.

Trivias

Worked in a small music store to earn money for criminology studies.

Her parents came to Korea from Europe, hence her tall height.

The first days in Hell were a shock, and Satan got hit in the head as soon as he got within a meter. Self-defense reflexes. He truly misses those times.

Never starts a fight on her own, has to be provoked. Unless it's Satan. His very existence is a provocation (affectionate). More like a hunter who hides and watches preys.

Meeting Andrealphus shattered her worldview. It was only when she saw their similarity that she began to question her priorities.

Her fixation on porn began when she was having a huge crisis. Filled with emptiness, she wanted to feel anything. Over time, this numbness passed (or rather she got used to it), but once she became a connoisseur, why not continue.

She would rather fix the tap than do the laundry. Just doesn't like household chores, that’s why Minhyeok was doing it.

I tried to marry the canon with my own ideas to keep as many features from the game as possible, and at the same time give her at least some depth. Some people asked about her, so I leave it to you, feel free to do whatever you want!

Bittersweet Slasher Movie Happy Ending Rewrites

The Sinclair Brothers all decide to leave Ambrose one day. They each go in a different direction, they find little corners of the world that are just there's- no more bedroom door they don't go into, no more family pictures that they wince to see, no more memory of parents better off dead. They don't see each other anymore but at least they aren't there.

There's no technicality in Fred Krueger's arrest and so the court successfully sentences him to capital punishment- the only time in Springwood History that anyone has received that sentence. No one really talks about him anymore.

After a boy's tragic death at Camp Crystal Lake it shuts down, and a apartment buildings go in. Pamela Voorhees, the mother of the boy, eventually has another child and that kid grows up knowing all about their big brother- how he would have loved them and he's definitely watching over them always; There's a picture of him above the mantel and they never forget him.

Tiffany Valentine catches one look at Charles Lee Ray, all dangerous and hot... and turns right away. Tempting, but she's just here at this bar for a drink with her friends.

Chucky himself ends up in prison after Detective Norris drags him out of that toy store. He spends his days carving symbols into the floor under his bed and laughing at court ordered therapy until one of the other prisoners beat him to within an inch of his life for what he did to Sarah and Nica. He doesn't survive that night in the medical bay.

After their parents leave, Drayton gets 3 jobs in town and keeps his brothers and their grandpa afloat the best that he can but eventually those ungrateful shits disregard his hard work one-too-many times, and they're all old enough now... so he finally leaves. Chop Top and Nubbins leave too after that, finding healthier lives separate from each other, and Bubba stays in Texas, where they were born, taking care of grandpa until he dies and then living on his own. They're all lonely, missing a part of themselves... but they're healthy enough to be happy. They all know they're better off loving each other from afar.

Charlie never comes back from Korea. He's missing in action- Suspected prisoner of war. Luda Mae, Thomas and Monty stay at home as long as they can in case he one day finds his way back to them... but he doesn't. And eventually there's nothing left around them so they have to leave- they have to say goodbye to him, for good. After that they move up north and they discover the most wonderful charity group to help people with conditions like Thomas'.

Michael never gets out of that Penitentiary. He lives a long, long life but he's held safely in there until they day that he dies.

Maureen Roberts does not make the big time, but she also never gives up. Not even after Milton, no way. She stays in Hollywood, living in a tiny apartment on her own, working a job she doesn't have to take home and going to every audition she can get her hands on for the rest of her life. She never meets Neil Prescott. She never has Sydney. Roman does find her and she does turn him away but there's nothing to be jealous of. He... lets it go. He moves on. Billy and Stu never even hear about her.

Hold on let me think back. I think I've talked about most of these before but they are scattered across different years and posts:

Giriboy thought he was the best rapper in Korea until he heard Lil Boi (I think Giriboy said this when he was the producer on SMTM)

Epik High was at a phone store a LONG time ago (NOTE: Epik High used to kinda be assholes sometimes back in the earlier days). A lady came in to get a new phone screen or a screen protector (can't remember which). DJ Tukutz just said out loud "Just buy a new one". The lady just walked out without finishing any transactions. It turns out that lady was Kang Hyejung (Actress/Tablo's wife)! I guess it didn't leave TOO bad of an impression as Tablo and Hyejung were still able to get married and have a family later when they officially met BUT I wonder how awkward it was when Tukutz actually met her officially. Also if he ever apologized for being a jerk LOL . I'm honestly shocked AF she didn't tell him off cause Tablo has told other stories about her before and she seems to have a strong personality. Maybe she wasn't in the mood that day or she was just embarrassed. I can't remember where this story was told. Probably an interview or a variety show.

When DPR Live/Dabin worked at a Subway when he first came to Korea, Christian used to always come in and get the most basic sandwich. Like turkey/ham (can't remember exactly which meat. maybe both), lettuce, and then other basic sandwich ingredients. Dabin wanted to make something more fancy but Christian just liked the basic sandwich. Story told on IG live w/ Christian and Live

The Quiett gave the TERRBLE advice to LeellaMarz that he shouldn't save any money until he turns 30. I'm honestly shocked The Quiett would give such terrible advice like this but then again, younger Quiett did seem like he spent excessively too. Leella has actually been listening to that advice too. He has 3 luxury cars and doesn't save. HOWEVER, Leella comes from money so I guess it's not really an issue. I can't remember the jobs but both of his parents have good, well respected jobs. This story was told on Psick show.

Changmo complained about his relationships (and potentially other life struggles) so much that eventually The Quiett got annoyed. IT was just an sigh tbh but apprently that's more frustration than anyone else in Ambition has ever seen The Quiett show. I can't remember where this was but it might be from the "Tomorrows Hangover" episode with Changmo, Ash Island, and Hash Swan

Queen Wasabii used to have a crush on the YouTuber/Variety Star Dex when they were doing the show Bloody Game 1 together (I don't really like wasabii but this story is cute so I put it). This was shown on Bloody Game 1.

When Yun B was on Bloody Game 2, he was kidnapped by the outdoors team and taken to the forest. This was done while he was sleeping in the middle of the night. So he was still in his underwear when they took him. He didn't think he'd be gone long when they woke him up. Luckily he took a backpack and it had some of his clothes in it LOL. This was shown on Bloody Game 2.

Ash Island slipped and fell while he was performing "Melody" at one of the festivals last year. I can't remember which one but it's still on Youtube if you wanna go look. It's the outside festival and I think he was wearing all Black.

YEARS ago I was in B-Free's IG live and he was talking about Dok2's old hairline. I typed "Don't make fun of/talk about that boy" (I can't remember whether I said "don't talk about" or "don't make fun of") in the comments. I was just kidding and put LOL and everything but I guess B-Free thought I was serious. So he was like "Oh my bad, I'm sorry". Then I started to feel bad because I felt like I was killing the vibe LOL. He was also saying that BeWhy's hair looked painted on LOL. (Again this was a SUPER long time ago. Probably 2016 or 2017).

[The wholesome/heartwarming part] Coogie said Code Kunst is his role model now that he's in AOMG. [The not so wholesome but funny part] When Code Kunst asked why not Kian84 or Simon D. Coogie said that Kian is a writer and Simon D is handsome... He thinks him and Code Kunst are on the same tier lookswise so that's why he chooses him.

REALLY old Khiphop stuff but Masta Wu and Danny Im (1tym) used to be really close to the level of a bromance LOL. Obviously Danny and Teddy Park were really close back then but I didn't know that Masta Wu was that type LOL. But I guess it checks out cause Wu told Danny that Danny "taught him humility" when Danny was leaving Korea for the US. From Danny From LA show

More REALLY old Khiphop stuff but YG Entertainment used to have a ping pong tournament back in the days (seems like this story was at some point during the 2nd gen kpop days but possibly from before). It was fun but apparently people got too serious. Teddy went and bought a professional paddle and started kicking everyone's ass. So then EVERYONE participating at YG had to go buy a professional paddle so it wasn't so unbalanced. I don't remember who ended up winning. From Danny Im's podcast

Loopy scolded one of the mkitain members (I think Bloo but maybe it was more than one member) in front of Kid Milli. The story seemed serious when it was told but I just think it's funny to get scolded in front of Kid Milli. It was probably so awkward for everyone. I think this was old during the Mkitwon series.

Apparently, Cha Cha ends up getting more girls if him and Jay go out together. from Ben Baller's OLD podcast. I don't even know if this episode with Jay is still available or not.

I can't think of anything else right now but I think this is a nice list.

The Return of NCT/WayV Lucas (The "Freeze" Documentary)

Like many of you, I assume, I jumped when I saw the Lucas documentary pop up on my YouTube feed earlier today. It came out 13 hours ago as I write this, and already has over 700,000 views!

The first thing I want to say about that, and the overwhelmingly wonderful comments the documentary has received, is that Lucas has certainly not lost his fan base.

I'm not going to comment on the scandal of three years ago, but will say that I was sad when Lucas suddenly disappeared from public view. WayV in particular hasn't been the same since. Whether he has himself or society to blame for how things went down has been debated ever since.

Having watched the documentary, I have a few thoughts I want to share:

Though it's only done indirectly, I love that Lucas admits to his mistakes. We didn't really get much info three years ago, and the documentary doesn't reveal anything at all about the scandal itself, but today, this is a man who (today) doesn't put blame on anything or anyone other than himself. At least that's the public image the documentary shows. I'm sure he has blamed external factors in the time since the scandal, but he genuinely seems to be a different person now. More than anything, I respect Lucas for how he has matured, how he reflects on past mistakes, and how open and honest he is about how he's been (both before and after the scandal).

As a publicity move, I think this documentary is absolutely brilliant. Many celebrities – particularly in China but also Korea – have fallen victim to public opinion following their mistakes, and never recovered from it. I think internationally Lucas could have made a comeback sooner and survived, but to break through on his home turf, this documentary is probably a crucial first step. I'd go as far as to say that this move could help change idol life culture for the next generation, in the same way Jennifer Lawrence changed things the way she handled the leak of her nudes (compare the damage control of that incident to how Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) was forced to handle a very similar situation just a few years prior to Jennifer).

Of course it remains to be seen what Lucas will do from here, but I'm glad that the true end of his hiatus is signaled by the release of a documentary designed to shape public opinion, rather than his potential suicide (mentioned in the video). This documentary surely dictates the direction Lucas will go from here for years to come, and I think it's a great step to his return.

I need to completely rethink the story I was going to write about Lucas. It's a great coincidence that the documentary came out the day after my post yesterday, which was specifically about Lucas. The idea I had was indirectly about the scandal. It didn't take sides but told a story, one that at the end of the day didn't paint Lucas in the best of light (to put it lightly). Now, having seen the vulnerable man in the documentary, I can't in good conscience publish what I was going to publish.

I'm curious, what did you think of Freeze pt. 1?

EDIT: I realized now that I didn't include an option for not supporting Lucas/anyone who might think what he did is unforgiveable, but it's not possible to change polls after publishing 😕 I guess use the "Who's Lucas?" option if that's your opinion 🙂

cat!!!! hi!!!! i want to get my non-reader friend into reading. he probs won't read anything over 150-200 pages so i'm trying to find an entertaining short book. all the short books i love are essays or philosophy or things i think he could like in time but would probably find dry at the start (especially cause he hasn't read anything recreationally for years). so im at a loss and wanted to know if u have any recs for short books that are page-turners/easy to read <3 hope ur having a good day beloved xo

first of all sorry for replying late but i was sleeping and then i had to go to the BANK but anyway i have compiled a little list of books i loved that are under 200 pages. there are lots of classics that are shorter and i've included them even though i think some of those would be stuff that you or him might have already read!

contemporary fiction

open water by caleb azumah nelson: THIS IS SUCH A GREAT ONE that i can't imagine anyone not enjoying. truly. it's a love story between two black young british people but it's far from a tiktok romance novel. it explores themes of race and masculinity and vulnerability and it's soft but also very real and it's wonderful. honestly if i had to only recommend one it would be this!

small things like these by claire keegan: very good and quietly hopeful story of a man in a little irish town at christmas. everybody was talking about this book last year and with good reason, it's great.

whereabouts by jhumpa lahiri: the story of a woman in the town she lives in and how it can change in a year. this is an introspective one but jhumpa lahiri is a genius so it reads very easily and it's so wonderfully written.

interpreter of maladies by jhumpa lahiri: short stories, mainly dealing with indian characters in the US. they feel absolutely universal while teaching something about culture and belonging. won the pulitzer in 1999.

how not to drown in a glass of water by angie cruz: a woman narrates the story of her life to her counselor who's trying to find her a job. it's funny and hopeful and memorable. the author is so great (she wrote another one called dominicana that is a masterpiece although is longer!)

kim jiyoung, born 1982 by cho nam-joo: the story of a new mum living in korea that explores the estrangement of being a woman and having to give up so much. it's definitely more serious but it's written very well and it doesn't feel heavy at all.

swimming in the dark by tomasz jedrowski: this one is incredible. it's the story of a polish university student who falls in love with another man in the 1980s in an obviously very repressive society. so he's in love but he wants protest and he can't ignore the struggles and the disparity around him. it's very political but also lyrical and tender.

someone who will love you in all your damaged glory by raphael bob-waksberg: okay this breaks 200 pages at 256 pages long. but it's so good. everybody would love this. it's by the creator of bojack horseman if that can be an incentive somehow. it's a collection of stories that are so unconventional and bizarre in the most incredible way. they are funny stories and sweet and absurd and sad. i really loved reading this book.

infinite country by patricia engel: the story of a colombian family dealing with deportation. it's from the pov of elena who is the eldest daughter. it's a beautiful book that deals with very real struggles and it does it beautifully.

classics

recitatif by toni morrison: very short story (about 20 pages) but so clever and so well written of course. it's the story of two women who have known each other since they were children. they lose touch and then they reconnect when they're older. one of them is white and one of them is black, but the author never tells you which is which. so it's a great story about race.

the cossacks by leo tolstoy: the story of a man who loses his fortune and retires to a cossack village. it's very russian... but it's very well written and definitely explores some of the themes that tolstoy will then explore in war and peace like the purpose of life and war and his love of nature.

white nights by fyodor dostoevsky: again very russian. but less than 100 pages long! it's the story of a young man living in st petersburg who one day meets a girl and they become fast friends. they both feel like outcasts, so together they feel like they can belong. it is actually great.

giovanni's room by james baldwin: lots of baldwin's books (both his fiction and non-fiction) are short ones actually. this one is the story of a man in paris who, while waiting for his girlfriend to get there, falls in love with a man. it's an incredible story dense with love and passion and shame and it is wonderful.

the old man and the sea by hemingway: old man tries to catch big fish after not being able to catch any fish for a long time. but also so much more than that and nobody made me read this in school so i only read it at 25 and it blew me away. everybody told me it would be so sad but i think it's actually hopeful and a little bit it is a story about community? and it tells you that there's people waiting for you to come back.

of mice and men by steinbeck: again i read it in my mid twenties and loved it. it's a gut punch. it's about two men clinging together as laborers in california. it deals with what it means to feel powerless in a tyrant world.

franny and zooey by salinger: one of the best books ever i think. franny and zooey are brother and sister and they are two young people experiencing existential doubts. it's a book about family and about growing into adults and about the alienation that comes with that. salinger knows how to write young people in a crisis so well and how to make it engaging and entertaining.

having compiled this list i now see that my tastes definitely are oriented in a certain way but i hope at least one of these can work for your friend. i tried to include all the shorter books that i have read and loved and i think that generally anyone could enjoy them, but you never know!

The Eighth Sense Eps 3 & 4 Stray Thoughts

Last time, we all lost our minds at the inherent queerness of this show, and how distinct it feels in the world of BL. We met Ji Hyun, a new resident of Seoul from the countryside who recently started school, and Jae Won, a senior returning from military service and son of a wealthy family. Ji Hyun is struggling with city life, and Jae Won is struggling with everyone's expectations of him. These two met and felt instantly drawn to each other, and are now engaged in intricate rituals in the surfing club. We left them on the beach before what felt like a kiss.

Episode 3

Okay so it was a kiss! That was not tentative at all.

Oh, I'm not a fan of pressuring new members to binge drink. Relieved others are pushing back, but still it's gross.

Why is Ji Hyun being brave about the drink? Is it to distract himself from the kiss and abrupt separation? Is it to end the tension of the moment and save the girls? Is he getting drunk enough to be taken care of by Jae Won?

This dude is so annoying every time he gets drunk. Tae Hyung definitely wants to fuck Jae Won, and it's embarrassing.

Ah, of course Jae Won has built up a history of getting drunk and kissing people. He needed to build that mask.

Hey, that was a beautiful shot of the beach.

Not a fan of Ji Hyun potentially going out into the water alone, but it is intriguing that he tried to suit up on his own in maybe the wrong size. He's not comfortable anymore.

Oh, Jae Won. You can't just ignore the boy like this. This is also unfortunately familiar.

I have questions about the person running a bar in Korea that can't understand enough Korean to take orders.

I get Jae Won feeling more comfortable with Yoon Won after all this time because she feels grounded.

Jae Won, you can't smile fondly at his art after ignoring him!

Damn, the freshmen just casually clocking Yoon Won as a lesbian.

There's a lot of drinking in this show.

I don't think the roommate's assessment is totally off. If Jae Won is signalling that he doesn't want to interact with Ji Hyun anymore, it's probably best to just let it go. Does beg whether Ji Hyun knows he's queer.

If Ji Hyun doesn't want this girl to attach to him too much, it would be ideal to introduce her to the definitely straight friend.

I like Joon Pyo.

Oh, I like experiencing the therapy session through the distorted reflection

I love the bar owner. Ji Hyun definitely needs encouragement.

Here Jae Won goes with the meaningful looks again. Not sure how I want to read them having an interaction right after a therapy session.

I liked this episode. I like Ji Hyun taking his angst and confusion in stride. I also like how many people encourage him.

Episode 4

Gosh, seeing these two recognize that there's something special about just being near each other in silence is just...wow.

Wonder what changed for Hae? Is it because it's night time. Don't send me back to my beauty in the dark phase.

I like Jae Won learning how to draw. It's really sweet to see them learning the other's passion. We also get to see Ji Hyun smile and laugh.

"Do you want to eat ramen with me?" *I understood that reference.*

Again the tension between these two when Jae Won adjusts Ji Hyun's bag. These two are delivering.

I love Ji Hyun's briefcase. I hope there isn't a plot point involving it going missing.

I'm obsessed with Ae Ri. She looked at Jae Won and Ji Hyun and was like, "Ah, gays," and immediately covered for Ji Hyun. Then, she goes on to show Ji Hyun how obvious things appear, and to keep his wits about him, before making clear she does not desire him. I hope she gets everything she wants.

Here these dudes go again meddling in Jae Won's affairs with Eun Ji.

If Eun Ji does something cruel to these boys because she saw them bonding in the stacks....

I'm not a therapist, nor have I been in much therapy, but it feels like Jae Won can be honest with his.

It's honest to goodness the only thing that Minji has ever had a hard time with in life!

She had a great childhood with a family who loved her more than anything, but if you ask her the one thing she's had trouble with, it's the fact that she's always been way taller than her classmates. She is well aware of the fact that this insecurity isn't one that many people have to struggle with, and because of that, she doesn't make a big deal out of it.

I mean, when you're around other people who have dealt with some insecurities and bullying because of those insecurities, she's the kind of person who thinks she ranks at the bottom in terms of being able to talk about what she went through as a little kid. She knows what she went through wasn't okay, in terms of people teasing or taunting her, but she doesn't want to say: "I was bullied for being tall and that should take priority over you being bullied for XYZ."

She and Jumin certainly went to the same school of thought when it comes to ignoring what they've went through like that. But, people in school did tease her for being taller than average. I think the average height in South Korea for females is 5'3ft? Don't quote me on that, I don't know for sure! But, Minji's definitely taller than most girls! Even by American standards! I know our average in America is like, 5'5ft? I am average height for a woman!

Minji spent a lot of time in school trying to hunch over and make herself smaller... at least, until she spoke to one of the coaches for track and field! She discovered she loved running! It became to her benefit to be tall, because her stride made her faster than most of the other girls on her team. She shined on the track, and that fostered a lot of self-confidence on her part. Since high school, she's felt better about herself when she looks in the mirror, but hey, sometimes, even she can get down on herself.

Minji is 5'10ft (177.8CM). She stands an inch taller than Saeyoung, and Judas is 5'6ft (167.64CM) which puts her four inches taller than him.

Despite this, if you recall, Judas' first meeting with Minji was built on concern. Minji has a lot of people tell her that she could fend on her on in a scrappy situation because she's tall, and for some reason, she has people consistently believe that her height somehow means she knows how to fight! She doesn't! She only knows how to run from the danger! So, when Judas offered to walk home with her when she took a wrong turn, her heart fluttered.

Sure, the bar is on the floor for respect, but Judas walked with her on a night where she felt nervous and he made her feel giddy. She felt... so warm inside knowing this man didn't care about her height, there was only one concern on his lips, her safety. Judas makes Minji feel small on the inside, and she never realized how much she wanted to feel that way.

She doesn't want to seen as dainty, but... to be held by another person? To feel like she's seen as someone who can be held and protected?

Golden.

It's the same thing with Saeyoung. He's quick to defend her and smile about it. Minji didn't realize how much she wanted someone to stand in front of her and say, "She's my girl and I won't hesitate to stand by her side." Hey, it's cliche, but maybe it's nice to feel like she's within a K-Drama where she's the heroine people dote on. She never sees girls like her in those!

So, to give you the long of the short of it, she was already coming into her own in terms of self-confidence about her height. But, the boys helped her realize that she could be loved in the way she always saw the shorter girls experience. People can lift her and sweep her off her feet if they truly love her, and they'll put the work in to do so.

I wish I had more energy to draw my Poly Trio right now, because God, I want to see them cuddle with Minji in the middle.

Prologue < ch1

In a cute and cozy flower shop in Seoul, nabi was fighting sleep to her best abilities because she stayed up at night struggling with a last minute big order, and it has to be ready today.

Nabi doesn't know what's wrong with people and their last minute big orders, like what happened to the planning and working period, did they really think arranging flowers in different shapes and bouquets is that easy. Then, they had the nerve to be mad if their order wasn't up to their expectations. That lead to nabi loosing sleep more than one night, after all flowers are fragile pretty plants so the person who works with them has to have plenty of patience.

For nabi, her patience is close to non existing with the lack of sleep. after swearing her life million times, and her fingers getting pricked by the flowers thorns million times, she finally finished the order. She put it away for the customer later to pick it up then started to clean the mess. After that, she sat down to get some work done, like answering e-mails for some new orders, looking for what flowers should she add to the shop and what flower that are in season.

As nabi wrote the last words replying to a client, trying to make his understand that tulips typically doesn't bloom in june, that's why it will be hard to make a bouquet surrounding this flower. She heard a person come inside her shop, looking at the time in her laptop, she realized that she sat down working more than she thought she did. Surely, the person who just entered must be her client.

Nabi got up from her chair and went outside to welcome her with a smile on her face, but as she saw the identity of the women in front of her, her face froze. There are thousands of Hyejin in Korea, why it has to be her?, nabi was sure that her client name in e-mail was Choi Hyejin not song Hyejin.

Alas, she quickly put back the smile to her face, because one thing that she is convinced about the tall woman in front of her adorned from head to toe in chanel, that she had to be a snake in her past life, that explain the reason why she can sense any types of a change of emotions, and when the opportunity is provided she will latch on them and sink her fangs deep within. And this knowledge come from years of knowing her unfortunately, from first year of university.

" nabi, darling" she said in haughty tone, opening her arms and hugging her, also fun facts about hyejin is that she like s to put on unholy amount of perfume, that's why nabi was holding her breath that her face almost turned purple from the lack of oxygen.

" how are you, I feel like I haven't seen you for a while" pulling from the hug.

" you know same old me, but look at you you look amazing" another thing, she likes receiving compliments like they are here life supplements.

" thank you, you really are sweet" she replied " I would really love to continue our talk, but as you know nabi, I'm a busy women, no one can have the blessing of just sitting in a beautiful flower shop and do nothing, sometimes I truly envy you but what can we do right?" She giggled in an annoying way" can I take my order please ".

" of course" nabi went to the back of the shop and brought her her flowers" but hyejin did you change your last name?"

" oh no, it just I didn't tell you but I just got engaged didn't you notice my ring". Lifting her left hand, showing off her ring.

Nabi truly wondered how she didn't notice it, especially with the way Hyejin was waving the said hand the minute she entered her shop, it was a beautiful ring there is no denying that, a white gold band with a square cut yellow diamond with tiny white diamonds surrounding it.

" it is really beautiful congratulations"

" it is isn't?, I told soobinie to buy me a simple ring, but he always wants to spoil me and for your question, I mean you know that I'll change my last name to his when we eventually get married of course, but I want to start using it as training if you know what I mean to get used to the sound of it" it a really admiring ability of hers of how she can talk really fast without taking a break in between with her I'm better than you tone.

Nabi was having a headache from just hearing her talk and with a small " I'm happy for you " and a forced smile, she gave her her order and was ready for her to leave, but again she can't get what she wished for because, as Hyejin was just about to walk out. She turned around to face her with a look in her eyes that says what she is about to say won't be pleasing at all.

" by the way, when is that man of yours is going to propose?, I mean you've been together for a long time, don't you think it's time?"

Even though she should've expected this question, yet that didn't stop her back from going rigid and her hand from being sweaty. The composure that nabi was trying to keep was out of the window in seconds.

" oh, we broke up, actually it's been almost a year now" she heard her voice kept shaking as she continued speaking till her throat closed up and turned mute.

Gosh, she really felt pathetic, by a mere question, she was reminded of her failed relationship, she felt truly angry that her reaction was a clear indicator of how she wasn't even over it. And seeing the piercing gaze of the women in front of her and her hidden knowing small smirk that she is trying to transform it into a sympathize pour, she knew it too. And how could she not. She wouldn't be surprised if hyejin's spy's did tell her the news. She was just here in this state and she succeeded.

" I'm sorry to hear that dear, you were both an amazing couple, like I only heard now of your breakup, you know how busy I am. But as I always say not all the people are lucky some people are just a late bloomer or don't have luck at all" and with that she left, leaving nabi in the middle of the shop withering between blooming flowers.

Seokjin:

The thing is the day of trying makeup and outfits for an MV is always fun but always is a huge mess, from clothes everywhere scattered around the practice room since it is the biggest room to fit all this chaos to pics of inspirations hanging on the mirror and makeup products on the tables.

This happens everytime they have MV to shoot and in this case it would be the shooting of their new comeback DNA, he is really thankful that the mess has been lessened from the morning, now the only presents in the room are few of their trusted stuffs that he knew since he was a trainee and his six brothers, each one of them doing his own thing.

You can see namjoon talking to their manager with his phone open probably discussing their schedule after the MV shooting, jimin and hoseok talking to the staff about making some adjustments to their outfits, yoongi is laying on the floor with his cap over his face and his bag under his head working as a pillow, he was sure that he didn't listen to him when he told him to go to bed early last night instead of finishing the song that he is been working on but what's new about that, finally the two maknaes, taehyung is with Jungkook their back against the mirror sitting down and talking to someone on Jungkook's phone and from the voice of the person, it is undoubtedly Lena who was in Italy studying jewelry design. He swears that that these two is like a whole package, you get Jungkook you will find besides him Lena and vise versa. All the group learned that since they met Jungkook when he was a trainee coming to their dorm and besides him was a pretty long dark haired little girl.

" so are you going to meet your mother tomorrow" he wasn't sleeping after all.

Looking up from his phone, he saw yoongi already looking at him waiting for an answer.

" yes, and I'll explain to her that I don't have a girlfriend and leave it as that" and went back to his phone making plans with sooyeon to meet later at night in her appartement after she finishes a photoshoot.

" but, we both know hyung that she won't leave it as that, and the whole thing about sooyeon wanting to be the meeting perfect and al of that is just confusing to me" when he was going to reply that sooyeon was just overwhelmed with work and didn't want to add to her stress.

" Why don't you just say that you have a girlfriend" he didn't realize that in the middle of his and yoongi conversation everyone became quiet wanting to listen to them, thank god that the people who stayed in the practice room where people he trusts them, and the one who suggested the lovely idea was the one and only Lena, one thing about Jungkook and her that they tell each other everything they don't hide anything from each other, even though she is miles away he felt like she never went away. so he wasn't surprised to know that Lena knows about this.

Turning to look at the screen of Jungkook's phone that was already facing his direction " and when she tells me that I want to meet the girl what should I tell her?, enlighten us Lena"

" just find a girl and let her meet her, for example yura unnie, after all your mom never liked any girl she met through you, the exception is me of course she loves me and I totally understand that" she said while eating her fruit salad that has a concerning amount of chocolate. The yura that she is speaking about is our makeup artist and she has been with us since our debut and the one who has an offended look on her face right now " thank you Lena" the older women said while chuckling at the younger girl antics.

" sorry unnie, or do you want to hear my other solution?" She stopped eating to look directly in my eyes or the camera.

" what is it?" Now, he was just amused by her ideas and wanted to just go along with what her mind can come up with.

" just break up with your girlfriend and In this case you won't be lying to your mom" she shrugged her shoulders like she didn't just say that.

Seokjin heard the guys trying to hold their laugh, and Jungkook turned the phone immediately scolding her. Lena not liking sooyeon was not a hidden secret, even though sooyeon was trying with Lena because she knows how important she is, she is like the little sister to the rest of the boys. But whatever she did Lena wasn't having it. It bothered him of course. But he hopes that would change in the future.

" isn't it late there at Italy Lena?, don't you have classes tomorrow?" bless hoseok the voice of reason, after wishing her a good night of sleep she hung up the phone.

" I mean her ideas aren't that bad" scratch what he said earlier about hoseok, when he glared at him. The brat lifted both of his hands but the annoying grin was still on his face. " But for real what your going to do?" He continued but now in a more serious way.

" like I said earlier, I'm just going to tell her that I don't have a girlfriend simple".

Was MHJ Getting Too Big for Her Britches?

I'm still doing my best to keep a neutral stance on Godzilla vs. Kong (PBD vs. MHJ), but a few more questions and thoughts come to mind.

What's with the timing? Why would HYBE risk blowing up NewJeans right before they release new music? Doesn't the company want and need the profit they generate?

Why did they make this situation so public rather than dealing with the matter swiftly and privately? Did HYBE assume there would be no backlash?

Is it true that MHJ has a non-compete clause in her contract and that it's indefinite, meaning she would never be able to work in the same capacity in the Korean music industry ever again? If so, it's pretty clear why she called herself a slave to HYBE.

Now for some observations.

Min Hee Jin is cooked. As soon as a shareholders' meeting is called, whether forced by the SK courts or simply when the next meeting arrives, there's no way she will survive as CEO given HYBE owns an 80% stake in ADOR, and they will certainly vote her out. She's done for.

I don't think HYBE will continue to support NewJeans. They will no doubt release the 4 songs the group has ready to go, but beyond that, they will likely focus on Illit and other GG within the corporation. If NJ does manage to survive, will the level of care and investment into their success be the same? Who knows.

Love her or hate her, so much of what she says in this interview resonates with me as a life-long music lover. I hope you'll take the time to read it, because it's pretty clear why she and Bang PD probably don't see eye-to-eye on much of anything, at least with the way he moves these days. Here's my favorite quote from this interview: "Some BTS fans want to compare how well one member’s album does over another member’s. BTS is a group that’s been around for 10 years now. They did their duty, basically. So I think it’s time to focus less on the stats and just enjoy their music—[let them] do what they want to do." A million times this!!!!!!!

Did you see how high NewJeans placed on all those Forbes Korea lists? I wonder if Mr. Bang got wind of the lists ahead of time and blew a fuse? I have this nagging sense that NewJeans and MHJ are getting the same treatment Jimin is getting. BPD just can't deal with anyone who is more successful than he is, especially if they don't use his precious methods, strategies, partnerships. But he needs BTS and he needs Jimin to keep the money flowing. Maybe MHJ and NJ are disposable?

Lastly, I saw the original rumors about the potential cult connection on X/Twitter (before the ALLKPOP article) and the suggestion that MHJ was shading BPD in the OMG video. Despite not being a fan of girl groups, I checked out the full video, and truthfully, I loved it. It's arty, clever, and entertaining. I have no comment on the cult imagery because that's not my area of expertise and I don't really care, tbh. But MHJ, after your music career is destroyed, please come here to the US to make music videos or movies.
