#or eddie a cheater for that matter

I will say this until I am BLUE IN THE FACE. I do NOT want Buddie to happen because of them being drunk and stupid at Chim's bachelor party.
There was absolute uproar in Season Five when they made Buck a cheater by having him kiss Lucy, and the fandom didn't even like Taylor! So why is it suddenly okay for Buck to cheat on Tommy, a good and decent person who is actually liked? Just because you'll get Buddie?
Nah.
And Eddie is still, at the moment, with Marisol, so are we really going to taint two of the best characters by making them both cheat on their significant others?
If this is how we get it, I don't want it. I think this should be a universal agreement amongst the fandom, no argument.

Dustin, Lucas and Will find out about Steve and Eddie, completely on accident.
The trio are in the drama room after school, at least an hour before Dustin knows Eddie comes in to set up for their session. He hates being intruded on. Which is exactly why it is imperative that they are quick about this. Sneak in, let Will take notes on Eddie’s bard character design, get out before Eddie arrives and then walk back into Hellfire like nothing happened. Easy peasy.
The Party is going make Eddie his character costume for his birthday. Because he is impossible to buy for. Super picky, has really strong opinions about literally everything. So while Lucas plays look out, Dustin and Will obtain the relevant information they need to fulfill their plan.
Everything was going smoothly, until Lucas rushes into the room whisper shouting, “They’re coming, they’re coming!” waving his arms about for emphasis.
Of course, they could come up with some sort of reasonable lie for what they are doing at the drama room before their scheduled Hellfire session. Which Eddie would definitely see through, it’s like an annoying superpower he has. They’d rather not risk it. The fates of all three of their characters are in the hands of a madman.
And the three of them dive into different corners of the room, scrambling for a hiding place. Lucas and Dustin wedged in the space between the wall and a wardrobe overlooking the DND table with half of Dustin's body sticking out, barely covered by a sheer fabric draped over him. If Eddie so much as looks his way, it's game over for him.
Footsteps, followed by an all too familiar drawl. "Because Buckley's a liar and a cheater," Eddie comes into view sauntering backwards into the room, wagging a finger at someone just out of sight.
The last person Dustin expects to see, walks in right after him. "You still on that?" Steve says. What the fuck is Steve doing here? “Cos’ you were both cheating,”
Eddie beelines straight to the table, shit, too close, where his notebook is lying, rapidly starts flipping through the pages, looking for something. And then Steve is crowding into Eddie space, his chin hooked over Eddie's shoulder, an arm coiling around his waist to rest his palm on his stomach. Wait, what?
Dustin twists as inconspicuous as he could and gave Lucas a look he was sure fully conveyed his range of emotions at the moment. Lucas gives him a similar one right back. Okay so he isn't loosing it. That’s a minor relief.
Their voices are too low for Dustin to pick out anything except a couple words here and there, not enough to form a picture of what kind of discussion involves cuddling your friend standing up. Steve's face is hidden, but he can still see Eddie's. The other man tilts his head to whisper something directly in his ears. Something that has Eddie's cheeks blooming pink and he's gasping Steve's name and shoving him off with a grin.
Oh god, what in the alternate reality was happening here?
From the corner of his eyes he can see Lucas with both hands clasped over his mouth, shaking from all the silent giggles he’s holding in.
Steve goes right back to plastering himself across Eddie's back and this time his hand slides smoothly into Eddie's back pocket. Dustin has the sudden urge to cry out My eyes! because screw staying hidden. His whole world view is warping by the second.
Now Dustin is a man of science. He isn’t unaware of the whole same-sex attraction thing, it’s just that he had no idea Steve of all people, likes men. Or Eddie for that matter, although he’s never heard him talk about any girl he might’ve been interested in, when he thinks about it. Dustin used to chalk it up to the mysterious personality of Eddie Munson, before the whole Vecna fiasco that is. Now he knows Eddie is as much of an open book as a person could possibly be.
Steve on the other hand? Former king of Hawkins High, ladies man Steve Harrington likes men? And he likes Eddie? Dustin loves them both, fiercely. He knew they’d get along well, he just didn’t anticipate exactly how well. Is this why Steve won't date Robin? That still made no sense to him though, Steve had no problem dating other women before Eddie.
Dustin must’ve blacked out for the rest of it, because by the time he refocuses on the scene before him, Eddie is already done scribbling in his notebook and the two of them are leaving. Dustin feels like a metaphorical Hurricane has just passed though his mind misplacing furniture and tearing up wallpaper.
Eddie and Steve are EddieandSteve.
Their receding footsteps draw Will out of his hiding spot looking a little dazed. “Holy shit, I thought they were going to start making out right there,”
“Okay so we all saw that right? I wasn’t hallucinating?”
“No dude, they’re like totally dating,” Lucas is completely overcome with a case of the giggles now.
“At least Eddie was too distracted to catch us, right?” A dopey smiling is spreading on Will’s face. God his friends are weird.

It had started off a harmless play fighting. You guys always had impromptu wrestling matches. Eddie always ended up winning because he was a dirty cheater and resorted to tickling your stomach.
However, this time it was different. Very different. You had never gotten such a fast upper hand on Eddie before. His wrists were pinned beside his head as you cackled in victory. Eddie thrashed dramatically, proclaiming that he would not be defeated so easily. One of his legs circled your waist while the other hooked over your shoulder. He’d seen a move like this on tv once - a sure fire way to pin someone.
But he hadn’t accounted for your crotch pressing and rubbing against his dick - he was rock hard in a matter of seconds. You hesitated slightly until you heard Eddie’s breath catch in his throat and a dreamy grin appear on his face.
“Shit, I can see why you like this position so much.” Eddie panted, shifting his hips to chase that delicious friction. “God, fu-fuck me.”
You gripped his thigh and looked over his expression. “Nice, right?” You grinned, circling your hips into his erection. The groan that rolled from Eddie’s throat was gorgeous. “Who knew you were this flexible?”
The bulge in his jeans was so warm and he could feel his cock throb. This situation was really doing it for him. The tension in the leg that was over your shoulder. The bite of your nails through the denim on his thigh.
“Kiss me.” Eddie moaned, digging his heel into your ass to pull you closer. “Let’s see how far my leg can go back, hmm?”

as you continue, i am not responsible for your media usage.
part 1 / part 2
It certainly wasn’t an overdramatic use of words when you said you were done with Eddie. You were truly done with him in all, you didn’t want to be with him anymore.
He was a great boyfriend starting off, fantastic in fact. He cared for you and always gave you tenderly and attentive kisses all over, not missing any skin.
You guys would never argue nor have fights in general. Everything was utterly perfect and you were happy.
That was until you caught Eddie with the cheer captain, Ruby Sinclair. She was riding him which you had done many times, moaning about how big he was and he was praising her by saying how tight her cunt was.
To make matters worse, you were on the cheer team and Ruby was one of your best friends.
And to make it even more disgusting, they didn’t notice you until you gasped. Tears were already streaming down your cheeks.
You couldn’t even believe the sight because you loved Eddie and had no idea why he would betray you like this.
You ran out of the trailer, completely betrayed. He did -n’t even chase after you.
He just let you go.
You had cried for what felt like an eternity until you went to sleep and you didn’t have the ability to think anymore.
You felt like shit in the morning, wearing your cheer skirt that had yellow lines on the bottom and a white hoodie.
You hadn’t seen Eddie for almost the entire day so you thought that it would be easier until you saw him at lunch. He spotted you out almost immediately and started walking up to you.
Of course you didn’t want to give everyone a performance but you were furious and didn’t have the chance to take the high road, not when either of did.
He went up to you, “Y/n.”
You slammed your tray on the table causing others to look, “Don’t even try to fucking explain yourself Eddie.”
He scoffed, “If you let me at least try to ex-“
At that point, you just slapped him causing everyone to gasp, “Don’t you dare try to justify your actions, you asshole.” You pointed your finger at him, “I liked you when others said you were bad.” Tears started rimming your eyes.
“I dated you despite being on the cheer team and handled the harassment by Ruby who you chose to cheat on me with for months.” You panted, “Regardless of what others thought, I still fucked you, loved you, and appreciated you and you spat in my fucking face and basically said I wasn’t worth and of it.” You were hysterically crying now.
Eddie frowned, trying to touch you as you dodged him completely, “I fucking hate you and I don’t ever want you to talk to me again.” You spat, grabbing your backpack and leaving.

(Pt 4 of my Steddie ft. Rose Harrington AU) | Full version AO3 link
'How's Rose?' was the first thing Eddie asked when Steve walked into the practice room on Wednesday evening.
It had been awkward, running into him just after he picked up Rose from the daycare. Steve had known it would only be a matter of time, of course, but it was still awkward. As long as Eddie didn't know about Rose, Steve felt like he could pretend there might be something between them. He could cautiously flirt with him, and Eddie would flirt back often enough to give Steve hope that something was growing there. But now that the guy knew about Rose, that would be over, of course. Because what twenty-year-old would be interested in dating the son of a cheater who was also the pseudo-father to his shunned three-year-old half-sister?
But the look in Eddie's eyes made it seem like he was genuinely interested in how Rose was doing – like he genuinely cared.
'She's great,' Steve answered. 'She liked you. Asked me if she could get curls like yours, too. But I told her I'm not gonna let her anywhere near a curling iron for at least ten years.'
'That's too bad,' said Eddie with a smile on his face, while Steve went to sit down on the stool next to him and opened his guitar case. 'I can totally imagine her rocking the hell out of a metal look.'
Steve laughed. 'I'm not too sure about that. She's actually scared of one of her teddy bears. Not exactly a lot of metal potential there.'
'Hey, um...' Eddie hesitated for a moment before he continued talking. He seemed uncharacteristically reserved. It made Steve feel like he was losing something; he didn't want things to change between them.
'Do you want to keep it just us and the music, or can I ask you a question?'
Just us and the music. It sounded so simple. So safe. So naive, as it turned out. Of course it couldn't stay that way forever. But Steve appreciated that Eddie gave him the illusion of a choice.
'You can ask me anything,' Steve said, even though he couldn't quite look into Eddie's eyes as he said it.
'How did she get into your life?' Eddie asked. 'You said it was a messy story?'
'Yeah, um... My dad – he hasn't exactly been very faithful. To my mom.' Steve stumbled his way through the words. It was all still fresh, still difficult to talk about.
'We basically all knew, but we just kinda pretended that it wasn't there. Not a great coping mechanism, but it worked pretty decently, I guess. Until this woman showed up at our doorstep with Rose in a buggy a few months ago. She just – she just left her, man, it was awful. Said it was my father's turn to take care of her now and – and that was that. I felt so bad for her – for Rose, I mean. She's a person, you know, not some animal you can bring to a shelter when you're done with it.'
He still felt bitter anger rise up in him when he thought about Rose's mother, but he tried to push it down. He knew that the woman had a complicated story, and that his dad was just as responsible for Rose's existence as that woman, but it still drove him against the wall, thinking about how Rose must have been treated all her life. How unwanted she must feel.
'Jesus,' said Eddie.
'Yeah.' That was a pretty accurate way to sum up what a mess that day had been. 'My mom was furious. I guess knowing my dad wasn't faithful was one thing, but an actual child on your doorstep – that's something else. She wanted nothing to do with her. As if it was Rose's fault. And my dad isn't exactly the warm cuddly type either.'
He replayed the events of that afternoon in his head: his parents, screaming at the top of their lungs at each other, while Rose was watching that whole shitshow go down in front of her, afraid and confused and crying, with no one paying attention to her. Steve had gotten her out of her buggy and held her in his arms to calm her down, and to his surprise, it had worked. He had whispered all kinds of comforting sweet-nothings in her ear and taken her for a walk when he noticed that his parents were too busy arguing to even look at them, and he'd carried her around in his arms until long after she calmed down.
Rose seemed to like him, and he recognized the look in her eyes, which made him fall in love with her instantly. It was hard to explain, but he had known right away. He had known that she was just like him, and that he wouldn't be able to live without her, now that he knew who she was.
'I convinced my dad that he shouldn't give her up or get her into the system or something like that. My parents aren't home much, my dad's always on business trips and my mom basically follows him around like a dog – because of the constant cheating, you know. So my dad wanted to set her up with some nanny, but I couldn't – I didn't think that'd be good for her. So now I'm trying to take care of her. It's a lot, but I got some friends helping me out and... It kinda sucks, you know, to grow up with nannies all the time. She deserves better than that. And it gets lonely when my parents are away, sometimes. So I like the company.'
He had mainly been talking to his own hands the whole time; it was easier, that way. But when he looked up, he was surprised to see tears in Eddie's eyes.
'You okay?' he asked, worried.
'Yeah. Sorry.' The guy sniffed and rubbed a hand over his face, seemingly needing a moment to recollect himself. 'That um... That hit a bit close to home.'
Steve held his breath. 'What do you mean?'
Eddie grimaced. 'I was a few years older than Rose when my uncle took me in, but... I guess I can understand what it must've felt like, for her. My mom passed when I was six, and my dad didn't really want me, so he brought me to my uncle. Wayne basically saved my life. I don't even wanna think about what would've become of me if he hadn't stepped up. It's the same with you and Rose, I think. You don't owe her anything, and yet, you give her so much love. You're saving her life, Steve. Just like Wayne did with me.'
Steve felt the overwhelming impulse to kiss Eddie on his lips right there. He didn’t think he had ever gotten a bigger compliment in his life, and that, in combination with those huge brown eyes full of emotion, made it almost impossible to keep thinking straight. But he took a deep breath and restrained himself; instead, he settled for a comforting squeeze in Eddie’s shoulder.
'Thank you,' he said, earnestly. It didn’t feel like enough, after the beautiful things Eddie had said to him, but he was too lost for words to give a better response.
Eddie took a shuddering breath. 'Sorry 'bout that,' he said, plastering on a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. 'Alright, why don't we do what we came here for and actually make some music?'

Cherry Flavoured // Eddie Munson x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
masterlist
Synopsis: Riding bikes down Hawkins backroads with your new boyfriend Eddie, you continue to adjust to your new relationship. You knew what he was like as a friend, but as a boyfriend, Eddie is far cheekier, protective, and tender with you than ever.
WC: 3.0k
Category: Fluff. Some sexually suggestive content.
Content: Boyfriend Eddie, new relationship, reader and Eddie are the same age, reader and Eddie make out a bit (at a gas station), reader loves stingrays, reader is easily flustered by Eddie, kinda innocent reader, reader wears Eddie’s clothes, allusion to sex (only briefly), and this is kinda cheesy because they like each other a whole awful lot!
♡*♡*♡
It was overcast today; not as hot as a usual mid-August day typically was in Hawkins. It had rained so many days this week and last, but no rain in the forecast today. So it was perfect weather to haul your bikes out and go for a ride. Eddie had actually been the one to suggest it, wanting not to waste the non-rainy day with you. Though no time spent with him could possibly be wasted, no matter what you were doing.
Neither of you mentioned your return to college in the fall; it didn’t matter today. All that mattered was Eddie and you and your bikes that were probably a little too short for the both of you. But you didn’t mind as it was a really lovely afternoon with your really lovely boyfriend. You’d tell him so later on and he wouldn’t question the adjective because ultimately it was the only word that suited how it felt to be with each other that day.
For now though, you were laughing at Eddie’s silly joke about some movie you had watched last night while you coasted down the empty street a couple blocks from Forest Hills that stretched on and on in front of you, the pavement sizzling in the distance; a mirage.
All the way out on the backroads of your tiny town, you couldn’t hear the sounds of children or lawnmowers, just the birds chirping overhead and the cicadas humming in the trees, their occasional rustling in the wind a comfort to you.
Despite the town’s shortcomings and strange goings-on, you liked it here sometimes. Maybe that had a lot to do with Eddie’s presence. He made things more bearable. Could make anything feel far easier than it would have done if you were on your own; he had that way about him.
“Race ya to the stop sign up there?” You propose, nodding to the sign about 100 feat ahead with a grin.
Eddie matches your grin with his own wolfish one; one that told you he was about to start racing toward the red sign without so much as a count down or the word “go”.
Just as you thought, Eddie began to pedal hard towards the sign, hair flying behind him as the wind whipped his face.
“Cheater!” You shout playfully as you race off after him.
As you near him, you could hear his maniacal laughter; deep and loud, but boyish, satisfied that he’d tricked you.
Of course, Eddie won the race with his head start. You probably couldn’t have beaten him even if it had been a fair contest anyway, so you really didn’t mind. Loved to see the glee on his face anyway as you both slow to a stop at the sign, less than a meter between your bikes.
“I won! And you lost, sweetheart. I expected so much more from you,” Eddie jokes, shaking his head in mock disappointment.
Pouting at him as you pant, you say, “You’re mean, Eddie.” But there was no real hurt behind the statement.
“Nah, you’re just a sore loser, baby.” He teases, smirking.
Dropping the act, you comment fondly, “You’re ridiculous.” And he can probably see the hearts in your eyes.
Eddie stares at you for a moment as you catch your breath, brown eyes soft as his big grin melts into something more sweet.
Planting his right foot on the ground, Eddie leans over, hand coming to the small of your back as he kisses your cheek.
You feel your wind whipped face warm at the gesture, affection blooming in your chest.
“What was that for?” You question, eyes wide as he settles back into a normal position on the bike.
“Just look so pretty,” He states easily, pushing his hair away from his face, and then, c’mon he says, looking down the road, left, then right before slowly beginning to pedal across the intersection.
“And felt guilty for cheating?” You quip, following shortly behind him.
Eddie zig-zags in the road, swaying away from you, then towards you in small arcs on the bike. He looks to you as he sways towards you, a faux sympathetic look on his face before he says, “Nope!”, popping the “p”.
Your jaw drops at that and you laugh, an incredulous sound. Though you expected nothing different to come out of his pretty mouth.
Eddie grins at your expression (it seems to be the only thing either of you can do today), then nods up the road and suggests, “I’ll make it up to you by buying us some slushy’s. How’s that?”
Forgetting all about his teasing, you light up at the promise of the cold, sweet drink. It wasn’t sticky hot out like it had been all summer, but it was still warm. And besides, you love slushy’s. Who doesn’t?
“Yes! I would die for a slushy right now!” You exaggerate, suddenly pedalling harder, thighs burning.
You hear Eddie laugh a fond laugh behind you at your enthusiasm for the drink before he catches back up to you and you both slow back down again.
Coming up ahead is a small hill in the road and you and Eddie remain quiet until you reach the top, pedalling hard again and panting slightly. Once you crest the hill, the gentle slope carries you down the other side and you and Eddie holler and whoop all the way to the bottom. You hadn’t had such fun on bikes since you were a child.
The road flattens out again and you coast for a while without having to pedal at all.
You drift away from Eddie for a moment, taking the space to zig zag on the bike just as he had earlier.
“Come back,” He requests, his ringed hand leaving the bike handle, reaching towards you with his palm facing towards the sky.
Knowing just what he’s asking, you beam at him brightly as you ride closer to him once again and lift one of your own hands from the bikes’ handlebar to grasp Eddie’s hand.
You ride like that for some time, hands clasped together, pedalling along slowly, bike tires crushing over gravel. Every once in a while, Eddie will create a wider berth between the two of you, stretching your arms out, but never letting go and always coming back to each other, hands held comfortably between you and your bikes.
———
It wasn’t long before you arrived at the gas station. At least it didn’t feel like it was long; time seemed different when you were with Eddie.
Sitting on the sidewalk outside the small building, you and Eddie drink up the cold beverages. You moan at the taste of the cherry flavoured treat, delighted.
Eddie gives you a sidelong glance, eyebrows raising at the sound.
“Cherry flavour that good, huh?” He says it like he’s teasing you for something, though you aren’t sure what.
“Mm-hm,” You hum happily, nodding with the extra long straw still tucked between your lips.
Eddie’s eyes linger on your reddened mouth before he asks, “Can I have a taste?”
Eddie got blue-raspberry flavour. So, you stop sucking on the straw and offer your drink to him.
He stares at the styrofoam cup for a beat (now only half full, he’s sure) then finally takes it from you. Instead of taking a sip, however, Eddie places it on the sidewalk between you. You give him a puzzled expression, brows furrowing together.
“Not how I meant, baby. C’mere,” Eddie requests softly, a gentle smile on his face as he shuffles closer to you, gravel crunching beneath his white Reeboks as he does so. Your eyes grow wide at his suggestion, but you shift closer to him as well.
Eddie’s index finger comes up under your chin as his thumb rests on your chin; the gesture so gentle your breath gets caught in your throat momentarily.
Eddie leans in then, his lips brushing against your own as he kisses you sweetly. Your hands fall naturally to his thick thigh, resting there as you kiss him back and he maneuvers his hand to your cheek, holding you.
Even when his blue pink tongue licks into your mouth leisurely, the kiss is tender, your mouths moving together in tandem. A small spark ignites in your belly as you bite back a moan. Boldly, you lick slowly into his mouth, the taste of blue-raspberry and cherry mingling.
You were still new to the whole boyfriend thing, not yet fully used to having him kiss you like this, especially not in public (though there weren’t many people around). You’re not sure you ever would get used to this and you were more than okay with that. You couldn’t imagine the novelty ever wearing off with Eddie.
Eddie pulls back slowly, your mouths making a soft wet sound as you part. He remains close, dark eyes opening with yours, searching your own. He knows he’s affected you. You’re a little embarrassed that that’s all it takes.
“You’re right,” Eddie smirks. “Cherry’s delicious,” His breath ghosts your chin and lips as he speaks. He gives you one more quick kiss on your slightly parted mouth before leaning back on his hands casually as he picks his slushy back up, sipping at it leisurely.
Now, you sit thigh to thigh, knee to knee on the sidewalk, no space between you at all.
“Um,” You grapple to come up with something to say after that, your slushy remaining abandoned beside you.
All you can think of, quite arbitrarily, is, “Have you ever pet a stingray before?”
Eddie raises his eyebrows at you, surprised by the random question, and pulls his mouth away from the slushy straw.
“Pet a stingray?”
“Yeah.”
“Can’t say I have, no.”
The question was random, but now you were excited by the topic and wanted to continue the conversation.
“Well,” you begin, picking your slushy back up and taking a quick sip as you turn to face him on the sidewalk, one foot planted on the ground and the other leg bent to rest on the concrete, your bare calf brushing Eddie’s thigh.
“Their backs are soft; kinda slimy, but soft. It’s pretty incredible,” You take another long sip of your slushy when you finish.
Some slushy dribbles down your chin when you pull the straw away from your mouth and before you can swipe it away, Eddie does so for you. His thumb brushes your chin and then he sucks the digit into his mouth, humming.
“Where’d you pet a stingray?” Eddie asks curiously as he pops his thumb out of his mouth.
You stutter for a moment, trying to get back on track, “I, um…I went to an aquarium with my parents when I was a kid,” You finally respond.
Eddie smiles softly as you continue, listening intently as you recite the memory.
“They had this huge touch tank full of ‘em,” You say, gesturing widely with your hands to demonstrate. “And it’s like they knew that people were there to see them cause they would come up to the sides of the tank like they wanted to be pet!”
Eddie traces patterns into your calf as you speak and you think he spells out his name once.
Then, an idea. You gasp as it comes to you and grasp the hand he has on your calf excitedly with both of your own, “Can we go? It’d be so fun! I wanna show you the stingrays, Eddie! I want you to pet them too!” You enthuse.
Eddie’s dark eyes shine as he assures, squeezing your hands in his, “Yeah, yeah, we’ll make a day of it.”
You smile wide at him, pleased by his answer, and are just about to start babbling on about the little trip when a boom sounds overhead; thunder. You jump at the unexpected sound.
Looking up to the sky, Eddie says, “Shit.” as he grips your hand and hauls you up from the sidewalk. You go willingly, allowing him to pull you to a standing position.
“Storm’s coming in,” He comments, grabbing your nearly empty slushy’s from the sidewalk and tossing them into the metal trashcan on the corner.
“I thought it wasn’t supposed to rain today,” You mention idly as Eddie walks back to your bikes that were leaning up against the small building.
“Yeah, well, we better get going now before we’re caught in the storm.”
———
The storm rolls in quickly, as they often seemed to this summer; thick grey clouds unfurling above your heads, heavy with rain ready to release any second. The impending storm blanketing Hawkins in a dark sky.
Thunder hadn’t stopped booming above you the whole ride home; pedalling furiously down the backroads to return to the trailer park before the rain inevitably began to fall in great sheets around you. Your first sighting of lightening occurred about 10 minutes from Eddie’s trailer.
“Eddie, we’re gonna get soaked!” You shout as the dark sky lit up with another striking bolt.
“No, no, we can make it,” He assures, though another look at the sky tells you he’s definitely wrong, the clouds stretching across the sky menacingly.
Eddie was almost right; the Forest Hills entrance was just ahead about 20 feet. Very soon, you and Eddie turn left into the park, panting with exertion, your thighs burning.
Then, a downpour; sudden and shocking as it pounds the earth and wets your skin and hair.
“Shit!” Eddie exclaims over the pounding rain as you coast down the now slick dirt road.
Quickly dropping your bikes to the grass outside his trailer, Eddie grabs your hand as you both rush up the trailers’ concrete steps, pushing inside the living space.
With the door slamming shut behind you, chests both heaving in the quiet of the trailer, you look to Eddie, now soaked with rain water, his hair dripping and flatter than usual. You think he looks very silly like this so you couldn’t help yourself when a peel of laughter streams from your mouth then, chest vibrating with it as you stood in his warm, dry living room. You’d never seen his hair wet before; it wasn’t your fault he resembled some sort of wet animal. Then it came to you.
“You look like a wet dog!” You snort an unattractive sound, bending slightly at the knees and grasping your thighs as your hysterical laughter transforms into gleeful giggles.
Eddie’s just grinning and shaking his head; amused by your amusement.
But your laughter dies in your throat as Eddie removes his black t-shirt, pulling it over his head from the back of the neck. Suddenly, a stretch of damp skin is revealed to you; his tattoos and happy trail like magnets to your eyes as you drag your gaze over him, breathing deeply.
Eddie notices your ogling, but doesn’t comment on it, running his tongue over his bottom lip before he says, “Lemme get you a towel, baby. You’ll catch a cold,” and walks down the hall to the bathroom, hair dripping down his naked back.
You hear some shuffling, Eddie moving things around, and then he reappears (wearing a dry shirt now), one fluffy white towel slung over his shoulder, and another in his hands he’s using to ring out his soaked hair.
Slinging the towel in his hand over his shoulder, he trades it out for the one on his other shoulder and wraps it around your shoulders as you shiver. Though you think it has more to do with his touch than the slight chill the rain had induced.
As he rubs over your shoulders gently, you take the time to look over his pretty face; its slightly angular shape, his gentle eyes, so dark, yet soft and somehow shining, the red tip of his nose, the gentle pout of his pink mouth.
Slowing his movements on your arms, he smiles softly at your loving stare, “What?”
“Just…I like you a whole awful lot is all. And today was really lovely. And you’re so good to me and-” You sigh a content sigh, a tad overwhelmed with emotion. “Just happy.”
“Just happy,” Eddie repeats after a moment. “And I, too, like you a whole awful lot,” He parrots dramatically, then peppers quick kisses all over your face, making dramatic mwah noises as he goes and you giggle at his actions.
Then, one final kiss to your cheek where Eddie lingers for a moment before pulling back as you continue to laugh lightly at his silliness and affection.
“Okay, now let’s get you some clothes that aren’t soaked, yeah?” He suggests as he pushes you gently by the small of your back towards his bedroom.
There, Eddie allows you to pick whatever you like out of his closet (much to your excitement). After picking out a soft hoodie and some old sweats of his, you were delighted to be wrapped up in his scent, breathing in deeply as you collapse dramatically on his bed, arms spread out beside you.
For the rest of the afternoon and into the night, you stay cuddled up in Eddie’s trailer marathoning movies and planning your trip to the aquarium. You play with Eddie’s hair as he lays his head in your lap, and he even allows you to French braid it into two pretty plaits. He asks to hear more about stingrays and you tell him how a group of them is called a “fever”. You ask him about his upcoming DnD campaign and what songs he’s learning on the guitar at the moment. He even plays them for you.
Later, you kiss and kiss on his bed and that spark that ignited in your belly earlier as he kissed you at the gas station becomes an untamed fire as his kisses stray from your mouth and down, down, down…

Chapter 3: Study Hard
Eddie spent the ride to Steve’s house sandwiched between Dustin and Max in the backseat because, of course, as soon as they got outside, Robin called shotgun.
Max was leaning with her forehead pressed against the window and her eyes closed, and Dustin was working his way through a bag of sour gummy worms because, "Road snacks, guys.”
Eddie accepted one, wrapping it around his finger and tearing off the head with his teeth. He let out a soft breath when the boathouse disappeared from view and let Dustin talk his ear off for the rest of the trip.  *
Steve’s house wasn’t too far. It was in a nicer neighborhood but still close to the lake. In fact, his room had a pretty good view of it.
Once they arrived, Steve noticed that his mom's car was gone. At least sneaking Eddie in wouldn’t be an issue. She must have gone to the store.
Usually, after he and his dad went to work, she turned into the couch potato she had been since she’d figured out his dad had been running around on her. She’d been depressed for a while now but kept up appearances in front of his dad and the rest of the town.
She’d finally told Steve about his dad cheating because she had gotten so upset after his dad called to say he wasn’t coming home for dinner. To Steve, that was nothing new—he was always missing dinner for work—but now Steve knew why.
He hadn’t liked his dad much before he knew that. He was always so hard on him. Nothing Steve did was ever good enough. No matter how many basketball games or swim meets he won, that was nothing compared to his dad’s high school football career and the scholarship that had gotten him into college. Those things led him to an amazingly successful career as a salesman… who then cheated on his high school sweetheart. Steve was bitter and hated cheaters.
His house was slightly secluded, with lots of greenery and big trees surrounding it. Since the lake was behind the house, there wouldn’t be any nosy neighbors catching Eddie Munson being willingly led into the Harrington house.
Steve got out of the car and waited for Eddie. “Looks like my mom is at the store or something. You just gotta keep it down when she gets back.”
Harrington’s place seemed more like a museum than a house. It was nestled in the trees, had two stories, and big full-length windows that wrapped around to the back. Eddie had driven past Steve’s a few times before, unknowingly. He was only ever in this area of Hawkins for drug deals. Rich seniors were his best customers.     Eddie nudged Dustin to let him out of the car.  “I promise not to blast any of Satan’s music while your mom is home,” Eddie vowed, raising his hands in a show of good faith.
He and Steve left the kids, and Robin, who still had a shrewd look in her eyes as she observed them, while they walked up and around the property.
According to Steve, nobody was home, yet most lights were still on inside. It was sorta lonely looking, Eddie thought. It was like somebody had turned all the lights on to pretend it was filled with warmth and people. Eddie couldn’t imagine what their electricity bill was like. Uncle Wayne didn’t even let him keep his amp on for more than a few hours, though that was probably more about the noise and less about the power usage…
Steve led Eddie around the back of the house where his private entrance was. There were two large glass sliding doors. That wasn’t something he’d always had. Not until he’d graduated had he moved into the basement. He wished his dad would’ve made him move down there sooner. It would’ve been much easier to sneak dates in when he was in high school.
His room was clean—pretty cliché for a basement-converted room. He had a couch and a whole entertainment system: TV, VCR and stereo. He had a built-in desk with shelves that housed his trophies and various ribbons he’d collected from sports and swimming over the years.
One of Eddie’s burning internal questions was answered as soon as they entered Steve’s lair: where he was going to sleep. “You can sleep on the couch,” Steve said. “It’s pretty comfortable. I got some extra pillows and blankets in my closet.”
Eddie nodded. It looked comfortable, even though he was sure his thighs would stick to that leather in the middle of the night like gum on a school bus seat on a hot day. The couch was set up in front of a nice TV and a large cabinet with glass doors that held the latest Sony system on the market. No Nintendo, though. Eddie suspected Steve was probably too cool for that sort of thing.
Steve went over to his closet. It was really organized. It had all his past uniforms, his letterman jacket, and his Hawkins High gear that he had collected throughout his four years. He grabbed a blanket and pillow while Eddie eyed the room. He knew he’d have something to say about the study hard poster.     Eddie skimmed his palms along the smooth, wood-panelled walls of Steve’s bedroom. He was already feeling more like himself again. “So, this is where the great King Steve lays his head every night,” Eddie said grandly, spreading his arms as he looked around. He was polite enough not to touch anything immediately, though his fingers were already itching to snoop. “I was expecting a big red canopy, if I’m honest. Maybe some golden tassels.”
“Not sure what kind of fantasies you’ve had involving red canopies and gold tassels… but my room isn’t that.” Steve had a regular wooden bed frame with a full mattress and a plaid bedspread. It was nothing fancy, but that really must be what Eddie thought for him to be so descriptive.    Steve’s room was almost cute in its typical teenage boyishness. There was nothing really out of the ordinary. It was tidy. There weren’t even any weird smells. Very wholesome.
Eddie noticed a little shrine with all of Steve’s sports achievements, a picture of a red sports car, a bowling pin lamp, and a few posters of half-nude women on the walls. He stopped by one in particular and rocked back on his heels, eyeing Steve’s back as he searched through his closet. “Yup, that’s definitely how I get all straight D’s. Studying hard.”
Steve snickered at Eddie’s joke. He turned around swiftly and caught Eddie’s gaze. He gave him a dirty grin. “That explains why you haven’t graduated and why I didn’t get into college.”
Steve was pretty horny most of the time. He got distracted easily and spent more time chasing tail than he did on his homework. He got lots of D’s. It looked like they had that in common.
No straight man should look at another man wearing that sort of smile. It was unholy. Harrington probably wouldn’t have smiled like that if he knew about Eddie. That was the sort of thing straight jock dudes did, though. A smirk here, an elbow in the side there—shared camaraderie over the chicks they wanted to bang.
Eddie supposed it made sense why Steve was still living in his parents’ basement and working at Family Video if he’d been rejected from college.Eddie followed him into the bathroom without commenting on it, though he wondered how many schools Steve had attempted to get into. How many rejection letters had he received before he gave up?
Maybe Eddie would be doing the same thing once they killed Vecna, cleared him of murder, and he graduated high school. Ha.
Steve took the linens over to the couch, and Eddie stepped backwards hastily when Steve passed him and set them on the cushions. “Let me show you the bathroom.”
Luckily, Steve had his own bathroom, and Eddie wouldn’t have to go upstairs if he had to use it. It was kind of small and had no tub, but it had a spacious shower where he stored his various hair products.
“I think there’s an extra toothbrush,” Steve said as he opened one of the vanity drawers. He dug around a bit and found it, then set it on the counter. “Was kind of saving it, you know, in case a date forgot hers, but that hasn’t happened in a while. You can have it.”
He hadn’t found anyone worth bringing back to his place. His car, though… that was different.
Eddie looked at the toothbrush. It was still in its packaging, purple and turquoise, with a small head of bristles. How long was a while? This toothbrush had probably only been here for a few weeks, max.
“Um, thanks,” Eddie said, feeling a slight flare of irritation in his gut that he didn’t fully understand, a tick forming between his brows as his brain supplied him with a visual of some perky cheerleader type brushing her teeth in there. “Not really my color, though. More of a pink girl myself.”
Some things took Steve a few seconds to process. He let out a delayed chuckle after Eddie’s joke. In his few interactions with Eddie, he could see just how silly he was.
He meant a lot to Dustin, too… While he’d still insist he wasn’t jealous, that Dustin was the catalyst, he was right a lot. Steve could see Eddie’s innocence. He was starting to warm up and understand Eddie’s appeal.
There was sweetness in his eyes that Steve couldn’t deny when looking into them. There was a rawness to him, too. When he spoke about Chrissy, there was terror in his voice and a horrified expression on his face. Eddie had knocked down walls Steve hadn’t known he had up.
He was just being nice, right? Because he wasn’t the bully that he used to be. He had come a long way since then. He was a nice guy.
“You can borrow some of my clothes. We’ll wash yours.” They looked a little grimy. “Probably hasn’t been too comfortable sleeping in your jacket.”
With it being early March in Indiana, it was practically still winter there. That was another reason Steve felt better about Eddie not being in the boathouse anymore. He didn’t have to sleep in uncomfortable leather and a jean vest, as badass as it looked. He’d never tell Eddie he thought that, though. Steve envied Eddie’s shiny and tough style over his dull, preppy one.
Eddie guessed he probably reeked. He hadn’t done a pit check but had been wearing the same outfit for a long time. Being scared shitless probably hadn’t helped his aroma. He’d attempted to wash his underwear in the lake, but that had gone as well as expected.
Steve brushed past Eddie just to get out of the small space, and Eddie stepped backwards again like a startled fawn, back hitting the door. The soft material of Steve’s shirt still brushed against the roughness of his jean jacket, the warmth of his body heat palpable. Steve smelled like coconuts on a goddamn tropical island again.
For not showering in a couple of days, Eddie didn’t smell bad, Steve thought.  “That’s it for the tour. You think you’ll be alright? I shouldn’t be gone too long. I’ll be back before Mom finishes dinner. I can bring you something to eat after I eat with her,” he promised.
He knew Eddie had been hungry this morning, so he would probably like a home-cooked meal.
“I’ll be fine, man,” Eddie replied, feeling skittish over all the catering Steve was doing to make sure he was comfortable. Hell, even offering him his mom’s cooking.     Eddie went and sat down on the leather couch, stretching his arms along the back and spreading his legs to show just how okay he’d be. His knee jiggling up and down was his only tell. “Appreciate you letting me crash. You know, putting your ass on the line. Harboring a fugitive and all.” There was a question in Eddie’s eyes as he observed Steve. Why are you doing this?    Was it really possible that Harrington was just… a decent guy? Hmm.
“You didn’t do anything wrong,” Steve reiterated because it sounded like Eddie needed reassurance. There was no doubt in Steve’s mind that he was doing the right thing. Getting thanked was unnecessary.
Steve didn’t see him as a monster or guilty of a crime. He was a friend of a friend and deserved a fighting chance against something that had reared its ugly head again and nearly destroyed Hawkins. Anything Steve could do to help, he would do for his friends.
He saw how badly Eddie’s knee was jiggling, so Steve reached down and forced it to stop. Eddie didn’t have to be nervous anymore.
Eddie stilled. The heat from Steve’s hand was still radiating through his knee, making it buzz and tingle in the aftermath. Eddie looked down because that was unexpected, and so was the fluttering in his stomach like he’d just eaten a butterfly. He didn’t feel anxious, though.
Steve gave him a reassuring squeeze. “We got this,” he said, letting go and meeting Eddie’s eyes as he straightened back up.
Eddie swallowed. Steve sounded so confident in Eddie’s innocence and their ability to beat the monster. It was actually… comforting.
Steve walked over to the sliding glass doors and started to let himself out. “Be back soon,” he promised.
Once outside, he flashed Eddie a small smile through the window.
Steve's smile was like a blanket settling around Eddie’s shoulders. Eddie could only nod back at him. He wasn’t sure what his face did—if he smiled back at Steve or just looked dumbstruck.
Steve headed to the car, and Eddie sunk into the couch more and curved his shoulders, blowing a breath.  “What was that?” he asked himself, bewildered. He looked down at his fluttering stomach in suspicion. "Why are you acting like that?"
Had that Yoo-hoo been expired? Was he sick?
Shaking it off and feeling oodles calmer, Eddie stood up again. The urge to snoop was strong again, but his feelings over invading Steve’s privacy had changed somehow in the last few minutes. It wasn’t right. Eddie would only do surface -level snooping.
But first, a little freshening up. * Eddie closed the bathroom door and locked it, just in case Mrs. Harrington came home while he was in there and decided to do something wildly inappropriate, like walk in while her son was in the shower. Eddie didn’t know the Harrington family. Maybe they were weird like that.
After fucking around a bit with the unfamiliar plumbing, he managed to turn the shower on and adjusted the water until it was screaming hot. Steve’s hot water actually worked, unlike theirs. Nice.
Eddie stripped off his clothes. His shirt stuck to his skin as he pulled it off. He left his pile of stinkies beside the laundry basket instead of in it, unsure if Harrington would appreciate him mixing them in with his own clothes.
The hot shower felt glorious . Eddie groaned, tilting his head back and gargling some fresh water. He spit it out in an arc like a fountain just because he could. His hair flattened to his head, all dirt and crustiness washing out down the drain.
Eddie picked up one of the bottles on the shelf and gave it a look. “Fabergé Organics Wheat Germ Oil and Honey,” he read out loud, eyebrow quirking in amusement. “Is this his secret?”
He popped the cap and gave it a sniff. It was pleasant and mild, but not the coconut he’d smelled earlier.
Eddie didn’t normally use conditioner—he used a two-in-one that worked as shampoo and body wash—and quite frankly, he didn’t understand its purpose, but he decided to use Steve’s. Eddie’s hair was matted worse than a junkyard dog’s, and Steve wasn’t called “The Hair” for nothing. He knew a thing or two.
When he was all cleaned up, and his hair was feeling frighteningly silky, Eddie turned off the shower. He stepped out, drying his feet on the mat and wrapping the towel from the hook around his waist. He unlocked the door, opened it a crack, and listened for any activity. When he heard nothing, he emerged.
Steve had said he could borrow some clothes, so Eddie went to his dresser and pulled open the drawers. He rifled through a bunch of overly starchy collared shirts and colored striped shirts before he found a black Ghostbusters one that looked threadbare and comfortable. It said I’VE BEEN SLIMED in green, goopy lettering underneath the No-Ghost logo. Eddie cackled in amusement and pulled it on with a pair of cotton, plaid pajama bottoms.
He didn’t poke through Steve’s boxer drawer because he was a gentleman and not creepy. Going commando was more comfortable, anyway.
He did have a poke around in Steve’s closet. His brain stalled when he saw the old green and white letterman jacket. Eddie traced the fabric H on the front, and before his brain fully caught up with what he was doing, he took it off the hanger and slid it on.
Steve had a mirror above his dresser, so Eddie caught his reflection. He did a slow three-sixty, and his heart fucking pitter-pattered. He laughed at himself. He was so painfully pathetic sometimes “Get a grip, man. Jesus Christ.”
When he was younger and much more of a boy-crazy idiot than he was today, in the most private chamber of his mind, he’d imagined what it would be like to stroll down the hallways at school on the arm of a jock.
He’d imagined how it would feel to be popular and coveted, to wear a letterman jacket that was a bit too big for him (because muscles, unfortunately, were something Eddie had never acquired, jamming on his guitar and roleplaying in his friends’ basements).
He’d wondered how it would feel to receive a rose, like all the cheerleaders did, on Valentine’s Day when Cupid came around to each class. One particularly drunken evening, he’d even dreamt he was a cheerleader cheering on his baller boyfriend at a game, right next to Chrissy Cunningham herself.
The fact that he’d fantasized about any of that and liked it infuriated him. He hated jocks, and they hated him.
Luckily, those fantasies faded after a year of being bullied by said jocks. Or so he thought. One ex-jock was turning out to be nicer than any of the ones he’d had the displeasure of associating with.
Eddie touched the H again, looking down at it. He shrugged the jacket off and put it back on one of the empty hangers, shutting the closet door. He couldn’t remember if that was the same hanger he’d taken it from. Still, it wasn’t likely Steve would notice such a small detail unless he kept a meticulous closet inventory or something.
Eddie went to the stereo and started flipping through Steve’s cassette collection to pass the time. As expected, most of it wasn’t real music, but…
“Oh,” Eddie said, delighted. Madonna. “Do you like The Queen of Pop, or do you just use this to woo the chickadees?” Either way, it made him grin.
Eddie almost put Madonna in, but Billy Idol was already in the deck when he popped it open, so he closed it and pressed play. Eyes Without A Faceblasted through the speakers. Eddie flailed and turned the dial down so it played on volume three instead of nineteen. It was in the middle of the song, one of the sadder ones on the album.
“Hm,” said Eddie curiously.
The shower had helped loosen his tense muscles, but to fully relax, he always needed a little help from his friend.
Eddie drummed his fingers on the top of the stereo. “If I was a well-mannered rich boy, where would I hide Mary Jane?”
Eddie checked Steve’s desk first, flipping through his stacks of books. He didn’t find any hollow ones.
Next, he searched Steve’s VHS cabinet. He had a small collection. Eddie guessed Steve had watched enough movies at Family Video that he didn’t need too many at home. He had a copy of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, which looked particularly abused, its case worn out. But no weed.
Damn it. It was probably in his car somewhere, if he had any.
Eddie checked a few other potential hiding places but froze when he heard a car pulling up in the driveway. He heard a door slam and then another—the floor creaking. A female voice called out, muffled by the distance.
“Stevie?”
 Silence.
Eddie turned the stereo down one more notch and, not knowing what else to do, went to sit on Steve’s bed, hands clasped on his knees. He didn’t know if he should hide, but if Steve’s mom came down, he could always say that Steve was on his way home and Eddie was… a friend of his? Sleeping over?
Hopefully, the police hadn’t released his name and picture yet, or Mrs. Harrington didn’t pay attention to the news. Fuck, he needed to watch the news tonight.
Eddie waited a few minutes, biting his thumbnail, but Mrs. Harrington didn’t come to the basement. Eddie heard what could have been pots and pans clanging from the far side of the house, so it sounded like she was making dinner.
Travelling back to the couch to lie down suddenly seemed exhausting as fuck. He’d go in a minute.
Releasing a sigh, Eddie fell backwards. His head hit the pillow, damp curls fanning out around it. There were too many thoughts in his head again and more threatening to come up, so he tried to focus on his other senses. He smelled cooking meat in the air and traces of coconut from Steve’s pillow.
Steve’s bed had the Goldilocks of mattresses. Not too hard, not too soft. Eddie released another sigh, his eyes and his body growing heavy.
“Fuck me, I’m tired…”

for the most part people who hate lucy know they can't get away with blatant misogyny so they have to make up more "valid" reasons but it's like glaringly obvious that that's what they're doing because they'll contradict themselves in the same sentence
"she only existed to for buck to cheat with and everything she did could have been done by other characters" these are mutually exclusive statements; if she's doing things any other character could have done, she doesn't exist solely for buck. and if she did exist solely for buck (which she doesn't), that's a role no other character could feasibly fill
"she made buck a cheater" no, buck made himself a cheater and then lied about it. if you're pissed at anyone you should be pissed at him (and ftr lucy didn't "get him drunk" or "take advantage of him" either, considering she was drinking just as much as he was, they were flirting before she kissed him, he initiated their second kiss, and she backed off when she found out he had a girlfriend, which he could have brought up at any time during their conversation at the pool table)
"she's copaganda" she is a firefighter on a show where the de facto leads are an actual cop and her husband. do you think bathena (and may for that matter) should also leave the show since they're copaganda? what about lou? or do you think lou is funny and #relatable because he fights with taylor?
"she took up too much screen time doing nothing" refer back to my first point. if she was doing nothing then she wasn't "stealing" arcs from anyone else
"kristen was forcing her down our throats and we all hated her so much that they had to cut her screentime" damb if you guys are so powerful why didn't you stop them from cutting the chim and eddie scene or the uncle buck and jee yun scene in 5x04? or the maddie and albert scene in 5B? were those scenes cut because you hate all of them too or no? and why couldn't you get rid of taylor in 5x07 and 5x09 instead? and why is she back now when they could have easily transferred her away offscreen? if "they" (whoever the fuck "they" are) stepped in to cut her screentime last season why did they let Known Homophobe™ kristen bring her back? make your conspiracy theories make sense or die mad about them

Eddie losing at uno… he has at least 30 cards
I love this so much! I just imagine him being so uncoordinated it’s not even funny
<w.c> 450
Tumblr media
Game night with the Harrington 5, soon to be the Harrington 6, is something Eddie wouldn’t miss for the world. There was movie night at the Buckley’s where Robin and Vicky hosted a wonderful evening full of delicious snacks and stove popped popcorn, you and Eddie housed D&D night by renting out an entire trailer to house the sick events of his Dungeon Mastery. All nights were a blast, D&D at the rented trailer lasting sometimes all weekend long the boys caffeinated up on Mountain Dew with Dorito stains on their fingers. But nothing compares to Game Night— that was serious business. Why? Cause no matter what the game was— Eddie always lost.
Monopoly? Eddie was in jail for a majority of the game, never rolling doubles to get out and nobody ever seemed to land on his properties. The Game of Life? Nope. Eddie couldn’t even win against the Harrington nuggets in Chutes & Ladders. So it’s no surprise when everyone is crowded around the table in the basement to play UNO, that Eddie is losing indefinitely. The Harrington nuggets are giggling hysterically at the sight of uncle Eddie with almost half the deck in his ring clad fingers.
“Draw 2 uncle Eddie!” The oldest one squeals. As Eddie huffs out a groan and adds two more cards to his heaping collection. You and Nancy watch with big smiles as the kids get closer and closer to winning and as Eddie gets closer and closer to insanity. His tongue is poked out in concentration as he racks his brain sithna strategy to win.
“Alright guys pizza will be here soon! Better hurry up and let the kids win, Ed.” Steve says, bounding down the stairs.
“Let them?! Steve, they are all but kicking my as—butt here!” Eddie flusters, “Oh come on! There is no way I get the Draw 4 again!”
“UNO!” The youngest says with a mischievous grin. The others all laugh as Eddie’s cards go flying across the table in a forfeit.
Eddie stands up with a huff and makes his way over to you, eyebrows knitted together and a fake mad voice in his throat, “You’re all cheaters! Dirty little cheaters!”
You giggle as he snakes his arm around your waist and hides his face with your hair in fake embarrassment. The kids all laugh as they put away the game. “Maybe next time we will play tic-tac-toe so you have a 50% chance of actually winning.” Dustin says with a laugh.
Eddie flips Dustin the bird and mouths a “fuck you.”
Door bell rings
“Pizza’s here!” Steve yells as he runs up the stairs.
“Finally, something I’m good at!” Eddie cheers.

As Edward paced the floor in front of you, finger poised on his lips, face contorted in his ‘deep thinking’ expression, he occasionally stopped, took a deep breath in, looked at you, and then returned to his pace with a grumble. And he’d been at this for the past hour, only every so often managing to think of a riddle he was sure you wouldn’t know the answer to. He turned to you again, eyebrows narrowed, grin spread out.
“Aha! What always runs but never walks, often murmurs, never talks, has a bed but never sleeps, has a mouth but never eats?”
“A river.”
Closing his eyes into narrow slits, scrutinising you, the accusation of cheater was trembling on his lips. But he knew you better than that.
“…Well…I never was, am always to be. No one ever saw me, nor ever will. And yet I am the confidence of all, to live and breath on this terrestrial ball. What am I?”
“The future.”
“You…stop it! Ok, the one who makes it, sells it. The one who buys it, never uses it. The one that uses it never knows that he’s using it. What is it?”
“A coffin.”
He stifled a smile, because despite himself, although you were irritating him and beating him at his own game, there was a part of him that was surprisingly proud, impressed, and if he was being very honest, aroused by your ability to answer his riddles one after another with very little thinking.
Of course, he would put it down to your intelligence and insist on as much. As a man of science, there was nothing that could convince him that you just knew what he was about to ask. Not matter how much you tried to prove your uncanny ability, be it supernatural or gifted by a fluke of nature, Ed wouldn’t hear of it. Obviously, he would tell you every time the argument came up, you were a lot smarter than you let on.
And while usually, this would end in him frustrated but giving up, today he seemed to be determined to catch you out. With each riddle he asked, his voice got more tense, louder, as he stepped towards you.
“The more you have of it, the less you see. What is it?”
“Darkness.”
“What has a head, a tail, no legs and is-”
“A penny.”
“I know a word of letters three. Add two, and-”
“Fewer.”
“Until I am measured, I am unkno-”
“Time.”
He bent down, hands on his thighs, letting out a whimper of annoyance before raising his voice again.
“OK! You think you’re all-knowing!?”
He yelled, hands thrown up in the air as he approached you swiftly, closing the gap between you, arms brought back down as he wrapped them around you in an embrace, his lips, tight against yours in a kiss burning with passion and a little bit of rage.
“Didn’t see that one coming, did you?”
“Actually, I very much did. Why else would I have suggested you test out my ‘powers’ again?”

give me your filthiest buddie headcanons pretty please <3
oh, ryan. RYAN. i'm so excited.
- eddie loves buck's body hair so much. loves to shove his face in buck's pits, loves to lick cum out of buck's pubes, loves to scrape his nipples against buck's chest hair. he's fine at growing facial hair, sure, but he's never had much on his chest and buck. buck does and he loves it.
- buck's a cumslut. he LOVES to play in eddie's cum.
- they've got special snacks in the kitchen for when they're having fun (the snacks are capri suns and gummy bears and chocolate covered pretzels, and buck calls them the 'post wienerin' food' to which eddie rolls his eyes)
- eddie's a (soft) dom/switch and buck's a true switch/verse, and a lot of the time they rock paper scissors on who's going to bottom because they both enjoy it so much (matter of fact they've got a whiteboard tallying it. all it has is their names on it with tallies under; buck's winning because he's a cheater)
- buck likes to make eddie hold his cum in his mouth after sucking buck off and then kissing and sharing it with him
- eddie loves to be fingered when he's getting his dick sucked. and he LOVES when buck sounds him!
- buck loves toys, especially the vibrating butt plug he bought a few years ago. it makes him go all wide-eyed and stupid and the first time eddie used it on him was nothing short of a miracle.
- they fuck EVERYWHERE. they're perpetually in the honeymoon stage because yeah, they're in love, whatever, but they've also got HUGE crushes on each other and they can't help it
- eddie asks buck to call him mommy sometimes. they both love it.
- buck likes to gag eddie with his used underwear. it makes eddie's eyes roll in the back of his head, especially when buck's riding him into oblivion.
- they watch porn together. they're silly goofy guys who like to play.
- eddie's into feminization. loves when buck gets a little mean about it, too.
- buck likes sensory deprivation. eddie blindfolds him and puts on noise-cancelling headphones, but makes sure buck can always feel him, and spends what feels like hours taking buck apart and putting him back together again
- eddie grins, says, "wanna screw when we get home?" and buck nods so fast he jerks the wheel and somehow changes the radio station
- buck gets so excited to fuck sometimes he can't get his clothes off fast enough and winds up falling down. it's endearing.
- eddie had to sit down one time because he got a nosebleed after seeing buck's cock in a pair of pretty pink lacy underwear. buck laughed for fifteen minutes.

Lil fish
Hey, so I haven’t wrote anything in a while and I have been overtaken with Stranger Things recently and this lil Drabble that turned into whatever this is came to me a few weeks ago and I like reading and re reading my stuff to make sure I am happy with it before uploading so hence why I am only just uploading, I am still not 100% happy but I am hoping you enjoy it.
Also as a bi lady who is more interested in girls than guys in real life it is wrote slightly based off things I have been told whilst dating. Also sorta made Vickie the bad guy here, I do apologise because I love Vickie but it just made sense in this instance.
Warnings : bi phobia, maybe a tad homophobia, swearing and a lil bit of smut, but you have to be looking at it with a magnifying glass.
It was no secret Robin wasn’t the most confident person in the room, but when it came to her girlfriend of 3 years (you) spending time with Eddie whilst she was at work at Family Video she became insecure, and in total Robin style, with a lil help from new pal Vickie, concluded that she was holding (Y/N) back from what she really wanted.
You had come into Family Videos to see Robin, it had been a month or so since you had last surprised her at work, spending any time she was there with Eddie. You had enlisted him to help you surprise Robin. To cut matters short you wanted to propose to her, legally you couldn’t actually get married but it was the thought more than anything, you both leaving to go to college in the fall, starting a new life together outside of Hawkins, you wanted her to know she was your forever and always. You had everything planned out and you knew exactly what song you was going to do it to. Eddie being the only other person you knew other than Robin to play guitar, he was the perfect candidate to teach you, it also didn’t hurt that you got on really well.
“How’s my favourite Family Videos employee?” You grin as you open the door immediately clocking her sat at the desk staring into space.
“Y/N? What are you doing here?” She asked shocked, straightening herself up.
“Came to see you of course, you dufus! I miss you”
“Where’s Eddie?”
“Um I don’t know, why are you asking about Eddie?” You return the question, confused.
“Uh.” She pauses, almost as if to gather her thoughts, or check for customers, most likely a combination of both. “ I think we should break up”
“What?!? But-“
“You- you like guys and girls, you’re you, you are normal, you have a choice.” She cuts you off, word vomiting at you. “you are just going to end up with a guy anyways, so you don’t need me being me to bring unwanted attention to you”
“Robin, where is this coming from? I love you!” You shout, at this point not caring if anyone was in the shop, you would rather everyone in town know than break up. “I want you! I don’t care if I get hurled abuse at for the rest of my life, I love you!” You caught her hand over the desk.
“Well, um” Robin stutters pushing away your hands. “I don’t know if I love you”
“Robin, this is not funny, why are you saying this?”
“I don’t, I just I don’t” she stutters out, just hoping you leave, this was hard enough for her. She knew it was the right thing to do, Vickie had convinced her it was the right thing to do.
“It is her isn’t it? I fucking knew it! I never had you as a fucking cheater Robin!” You could feel tears like a tsunami down your cheeks.
“No, I haven’t cheated on you, I would ne-“
“Stay away from me, I hope you and Vickie are truly happy together” with that you rush out of Family Video to your car and drive off into the distance. Robin wanted to move, she wanted to run after you, but she was frozen, for once in her life speechless.
That was the last time Robin saw you. A week passed and you hadn’t been at school, you hadn’t even been at home, she went as far to check Eddies caravan, no one had seen you. Robin knew she had fucked up the second you stepped out of Family Video but as time went on she started to wonder if she had done more than fuck up, if she had pushed you to the edge.
Eddie being the loyal friend he was, knew where you was, he made sure you were safe, fed and on evenings, under his own supervision; high. You had never done drugs before, but after a 48 hour drive after driving off from Family Video, you had gone out of state, back again, you realised you could run, but the hurt would always be there so why not try gods own antidepressant.
Another week had passed and, thanks to a lil pep talk from Eddie, you were back at school. You avoided Robin like the Plague, you avoided everyone. The times were you couldn’t avoid her it was like you didn’t exist anyways, Vickie would always be there, whispering, glaring, as if you was the bad guy.
“Hey sweetheart, are you doing ok?” Eddie taps your shoulder, you were paused at the door of the French class. Vickie sat on Robins table staring daggers at you whilst holding Robins hand. Tears started overflowing as you noticed that small minor detail. She was holding her hand, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. You had been dating 3 years, and she would have never dared in public. “Hey! Y/n wake up, earth to Y/n”
You quickly look away and wipe your eyes before replying.
“Not really, have you got anything on you?” You wisper.
“You know I have but you are not having it” he held his hand with his lunch box in behind him, away from you. .
“What the fuck? All of a sudden a good boy?” You more or less shout at him.
“Keep your voice down, you need to sort out your shit, you can’t just use it to disguise it “
“Well thanks for that Ed” you huff, moving away from the door way to let some other students in to the class room.
“Y/n I am not letting you turn into an addict on my watch” Eddie scolded, following you, he knew he was talking shit but he knew he had to get you and Robin back together, or Steve would try to whip his ass. “Maybe talk to her? Harrington told me she fucked up?”
“Eddie does it look like she fucked up? She has exactly who she wants. I am going home” you turn on your heels. Before he could question it you were half was down the corridor. Cutting his loses he heads to take a seat in the class, but not before dropping by Robins desk to tell her just how much she had fucked up.
You had done as you had said, you got in your car and drove home. Your parents had been out of town for the past month and were not showing any signs of returning any time soon, so no one cared what you were doing. You got home, grabbed some snacks from the fridge and headed to your room. Opening the windows and taking off your shoes before face planting the bed.
You hadn’t closed your eyes for more than a couple of minutes before you hear a car pull up outside. Presuming it is one of the mums down the cul de sac you pull a pillow over your head in preparation for the screaming child that usually came after the shutting off of an engine. But it never came.
“Y/n?” Robin voice floated into your room “I know you probably don’t want to see me but can I come in?” You look up, more curious to how she could be soo close when you definitely locked the door behind you. Removing the pillow from your head you sat up looking around your room, before your eyes landed on the open window, more specifically the tree outside that was currently carrying the weight of one Robin Buckley. Why had she climbed the bloody tree.
“Why are you in a tree? Why are you here?!? How are you here!?!” You panic, walking towards the window.
“Eddie, he gave me a lift” she pointed down, almost asking you to go and look at the proof of him sitting outside your house in his van, causing her to wobble on the branch.
“Get in, what are you doing climbing a tree!?!” You rush to help her in before she falls, as you lean out of the window you spot Eddie sat in his van with a shit eating grin on his face.
“I needed to see you” Robin gasps as you guide her in.
“I have a front door Robin” you check she is ok before returning to your window to flip Eddie, who is still parked up, the bird. Eddie taking it as a signal to leave.
“You would have never answered, and I don’t blame you. I fucked up. I love you y/n it has always been you and I got scared, scared I wasn’t enough. You was spending time with Eddie and I saw him as a threat I guess, because you like guys and girls and I let her get in my head and convince me that liking both means you would cheat, and I don’t want to be that girl who likes girls but doesn’t like girls that like girls and guys because I do love you and I shouldn’t of let my jealousy and her, let me think like that, because you are too good to me, you are just good and you would never cheat on me and you liking girls and guys doesn’t mean you are going to cheat on me and I know that but I let it get in my head when I shouldn’t of but I love you, I love you so damn much. y/n please forgive me” Robin stopped for breath, and finally looked at you.
“Who got in your head Robin?” You question after a few moments, nervously sitting on the side of your bed.
“Vickie” she answers shyly, starting to pace. “It was never like that though, I never wanted her, I was stupid to listen to her, it just was stressing me out and one day at band practice it just, it just came out. And she was there and listened and I thought she was helping, I thought you wanted Eddie, she convinced me that what I was doing was for you, and it was hard y/n it was soo hard. I never wanted to.”
“But you did Robin, why?!? Why could you of not spoken to me? I am supposed to be your girlfriend! Not Vickie” you stand in a hope to ground yourself and stop Robin from pacing.
“I know, I know and I am sorry. I am a dufus, I was just soo scared of losing you, I thought you were already gone. I thought it was best cutting you off and letting you lead the life you wanted.”
“And what because I am bisexual you thought I wanted Eddie?”
“No, because it doesn’t make sense, but why would you want me?” Robin finally stops pacing and looks at you, tears in her eyes.
“Fuck, Robin, have I not shown you that I want you?” Now you are the one crying, “That I love you?”
“Nooo, you, you do! You did!” Robin takes a step towards you reaching for your hands, keeping them in hers as you both let the tears roll.
“Then why?” You wisper. “ What could I have done?”
“Nothing, nothing y/n you are perfect, it is me, I should of never of listened, I should've spoken to you. I promise I will always come to you first in future y/n I love you, I trust you, I should of never doubted your feelings, I had no reason to, I am sorry, I am soo sorry”
“Hey, hey” you take your hands out of hers, wrapping your arms around her, pulling her into your embrace, letting her cry into you neck. “Shhh it is fine, we will work through this together, ok? I am here”
“I quit band and told her to never talk to me or you again” she sniffles as you walk her to the edge of the bed to sit together.
“what?”
“she is part of the reason we broke up, if I hadn’t told her, we would be ok, I wouldn’t of been fed lies and doubts. She tried to be you, but you're the only you I want” she whispers, holding you closer.
“Even if I like girls and guys?” You ask, sarcastically.
“Especially liking girls and guys! You have double the pond to fish in and I am still your fish, if you still want me” she questions, looking up at you, unsure.
“You’re still my fish, Robin” you look her in her eyes as her face realises what you have just said, releasing the biggest smile across her face. Before you could say anything else her lips are on yours, pushing you backwards on to the bed as your lips mold to the others,2 weeks of separation not allowing you to be close enough to each other.
Robin throws her leg over yours, straddling you, whilst one arm keeps her bodyweight off yours and the other caresses your face.
“I missed you Y/N” Robin whispers as she pulls away from your lips and slowly kisses up and down your neck, gently using her teeth to nip skin from time to time earning moans and little sounds of joy from you.
“Robin, I love you” you finally manage to whisper, your hands finding their way on to her chest to fondle her breasts over her clothes. Her lips finding yours again “Also I don’t care if she is there, you are carrying on with band” you smirk against her lips.
“Huh?” She manages to mumble as you deepen the kiss. Before stopping suddenly.
“You are not giving up something-“ you get over taken with her lips again, leaving a hard kiss on top of her lips before continuing. “Something you love doing because of her, I love seeing you play” you press another kiss on her lips. “I love you” you confess again causing you both to break out in big goofy smiles.
“I love you too, lil fish”

Eddie literally bullies, harass, and stalks mc how can people compare him to suresh? It’s so weird bc he does all this stuff and people say suresh is worst just bc he cheated I rather be with a cheater than someone who constantly bullies, harass and stalks me every step of the way just weird😒
You’re not wrong! I agree that people shouldn’t be comparing Suresh to Eddie (or even Alfie and Dana for that matter). Cheating is a mistake, a mistake someone can be remorseful or not remorseful for. It seems to me (and I’m not playing right now, I’m going off what I see on Tumblr), that Suresh is sorry for what he did.
I keep joking I’m going for Eddie because he reminds me of Youcef with the whole “I’m going to act interested then tell you I’m not” because honestly? I’m going to end up picking who I said I hated at first because it’s what I always do (looking at you, Finny boy).
People have to stop justifying behavior from a character by comparing them to another (while simultaneously bringing down another character). Eddie and Suresh are not the same. They do not do the same things. I get that Suresh came on strong at first but think to yourself: if you made a mistake and had a chance to possibly fix it and have the person you once fell in love with back, what would you do? A lot of us would do what Suresh did, trying to prove we are being genuine.

It’s like I would go for a steve x reader ending but like he’s so undesirable like you’re telling me you would get back together with someone who cheated on you like have some self-respect like okay maybe he’ll go on the path of redemption but going back to your “first love” is never going to work cause you’re not just gonna forget the hurt he caused like imagine doing all that growth and self-love to only go back to the person who did that to you thats #embarrassing
Also i’m just projecting LOLL i got cheated on so I think Steve should get fucked after going through that mentally you just want nothing to do with them after no matter how much they “change”
I totally agree with you. I would never go back to a cheater either 😭
I mean he never actually cheated on her, Nancy was the one who kissed him and he at least pushed her away but emotionally, he was still cheating and that’s bad enough already.
Reader won’t take him back so quickly and she will actually make him suffer a little but uh…. yeah, if this was real life, I’d rather have her end up with Eddie 😂

Hey there! So this is my first ever fanfic, but I’ve been so obsessed with Eddie that I literally have ideas spilling over. Might make this into a little series.
Summary: you’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons with Eddie on and off for a few years, but he’s noticed something about you and it’s eating him up inside.
TW: swearing, mention of drugs, little angsty, very fluffy.
Tumblr media
An Unnatural 20
“So ,Y/N…” a cynical smile flitted over his face “…how do you do it?” Everyone else is bustling around, packing up and congratulating you on your latest victory before they head out, so you barely register what he said. He walks closer to you. “I asked…how you do it?”
You look up and meet those beautiful brown doe eyes and your face falls. He’s not joking around. You’re immediately on edge. “Do what exactly, sir?”
“Roll those…unnatural 20s.”
Shit. You feel your face start to flush. You thought he’d never noticed. Your mind begins to race with questions…Why is he asking now? You’ve been playing D&D together for years, you even came back to sub whenever they asked since graduating last year. But of course he noticed, he was Eddie Munson.
“Whatever do you mean, Eddie?” you bat your eyelashes and feign a flirty smile as you move to pack up your notebook and put away your green dice set.
“You know I don’t take kindly to cheaters at my table, sweetheart.” He chided through a smirk. “What, is it weighted or something?” He curiously reached in front of you for your d20, and his musk filled your nose. He smells like leather, weed, and…vanilla. But as intoxicating as his smell is, you snap out of it and snatch up your dice.
“Woah now, Y/N. I wasn’t gonna steal it from you or nothing. Just trying to wrap my mind around how you managed nat 20s across the board on that last battle. No one’s that lucky.”
“Oh, it runs in the family.” You sling your bag over your shoulder, fake an over exuberant smile that drops as soon as you turn to leave. Shit shit shit.
You can hear him chuckle as you walk away. “Can’t let you play with us again til you tell me what’s up, Y/N. Can’t abide by cheaters.” You turn on your heels “Eddie, what are you even talking about! That’s so unfair! I just rolled well tonight!”
“That, I could believe” he contemplates “if you didn’t roll exceptionally well EVERY night Y/N. Something’s up and I, as your dungeon master, need to know exactly what.“ he pontificated as he plopped back down into his throne. His head leaning onto his hand as he began to glare at the game table. You could see the gears turning as he was trying to figure it out.
“Look, it’s not weighted” you toss your D20 to him and he snatched it out of the air. He inspected it for well over a minute before harrumphing and tossing it back. “Maybe it’s not weighted, but there’s still something.” He leaned back in his chair again. “Whatever you say Eddie. We good?”
“Mmmmmnot yet. I’m not gonna let this go that easily” he stated matter of factly. he smirked as he slapped his hands on his knees and moved to get up. You couldn’t stand him sometimes, especially when he got on these little power trips. Of all things, why can’t he just let this one go?
“Dude, we’ve played together how long? And you’re accusing me of cheating now? What in the actual fuck.” You’re visibly annoyed. Playing D&D with Hellfire was one of your absolute favorite things, and he knew it. And he was going to use your love for it to satisfy his own curiosity.
“Temper, temper, Y/N. All I’m saying is that something’s going on and I cannot in good conscience allow it to continue.” He said with a little bow. He’d dug his heels in, and you could tell. There was no point in continuing this conversation, you were only going to say something you shouldn’t. You fume out the double doors, furious he’d hold Hellfire against you. “You know where to find me when you’re ready to talk” you hear him call after you as the doors slam shut.
You fight back angry tears as you stomp out for your car. It’s not like you wouldn’t love to tell him what happened. To come clean about it. But you can’t just blurt it out. You get into your old junker and try to start it, it sputters. Of course. Godsdamnit. You try to get it to turnover with the key once more and it sputters out again. You see Eddie come out of the school and he moseys over to where your car is parked. This cannot be happening. “Car troubles, L/N?” You can hear the smirk in his voice and the click of his lighter as he goes to light a cigarette.
“You serious right now, Munson?” You glare at him. He sees your face streaked with hot tears and his cocky exterior completely melts as he crouches down so his heads even with yours and he rests his forearms on your open car window sill. “Woah hey hey hey. Are you okay?” Fuck. He just had to say it. Tears start to spill over. “I’m sorry, I know I can be—I thought—I didn’t realize how upset you were—I get so caught up sometimes that I can be—fuck, I’m such an ass!” He hung his head looking defeated. You managed a small laugh at his flustered demeanor. He looked genuinely upset as he lifted his eyes to meet yours, pleading apologetically.
You always suspected that underneath all the pomp and theatrics, that Eddie was really sweet. It was a side of him you didn’t get to see very often when you were at school together, and even less when he was ruling over the Hellfire Club. But you saw glimpses here and there, like when he was with the Henderson kid. You knew it was there. “What can I do to make it up to you?” He beseeched.
“Can you give me a ride?” He smiled, glad you were going to let him do something to help. “I’ll take you anywhere, as far as a half a tank will take us.” He opened the door and offered a hand to help you out of the car. “Milady” he flourished. You bat his hand away “very funny, Munson.” He feigned insult as he clutched his hands to his chest and stumbled backward. You can’t help but laugh. His theatrics had the exact effect he wanted—to make you smile.
“Do you want me to take you home or—do you feel like hanging out maybe?” He ventured nervously, clearly hopeful. Even though you’d played together at Hellfire, you and Eddie had never actually just hung out. Not because you didn’t want to, but because Eddie always seemed a little…inaccessible to you. “I’m down to hangout for awhile.”
You see relief wash over his face as you reach his van together. He jogs ahead slightly to open the passenger door for you and offers his hand yet again to help you into the van. You cock your head and smile at him, he’s trying to be…charming. You take his hand this time and you feel tingly sparks as your hands meet. You see the surprise on his face and chuckle softly to yourself. Has he always been this adorable? Or have you just never seen him outside the context of cafeteria monologues and Hellfire?
You hop into the van and he scurries to the drivers side. He shoots you a quick smile as he starts the van. “Wanna go to my place? Maybe watch a movie or listen to music or something?” You contemplate the options. “You got any weed?” He scoffed. “Do I got—you know I do. I didn’t know you smoked.” You enjoyed catching him off guard.
“There’s a lot you don’t know about me, Munson.” You answered smugly. The fact that you smoked weed was the least of it. “Clearly!” He smiled as he fumbled with the cassette player til Ozzy Osbourne’s signature croon comes through the shitty van speakers. “Oh awesome, I love Blizzard of Ozz.” You start tapping along and Eddie just stares at you. “Sabbath wasn’t the same after they got rude of Ozzy. Dio’s great too, don’t get me wrong. But there’s just something special about Osbourne.”
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” You stare back at him and raise your eyebrows as if to say what? “You listen to Ozzy? And Sabbath, and Dio. Seriously?” You nod. “Yup, for sure do.” You giggle at the slack jawed expression on his face and bask in rendering the man at a loss for words, if only for a moment. “Shocked you’re not the only metalhead in Hawkins?”
He regains his composure and gives you the biggest, most genuine smile. “No, just excited. You’re just full of surprises aren’t ya?” You smile. “You don’t even know the half of it, man.” He raised an eyebrow at that, then shifted his attention to getting his van into gear. In moments, you were off! Barreling into the night with Ozzy on full blast in Eddie freaking Munson’s van. You didn’t know how you ended up here, or what would happen next, but you were just taking the moment in stride as you and Eddie sang along.
