I love the idea that young Charlotte and Edwina were very similar (kind, fiercely loyal, generous. trusting, fair, love deeply etc).
Charlotte is the way she is now out of necessity. Her courtship and marriage were fraught with opposition. Scathing verbal abuse is thrown at her for being a mere noblewoman. She couldn’t remain unaffected when her family was denigrated too. But she held her head high and acted unfazed. She allowed herself to be vulnerable only with her husband.
But as George’s health deteriorated, Charlotte had to shoulder more responsibilities alone and thus endured more abuse. She wanted to give up often but persisted out of love for him. She became less kind, less caring, less trusting. She juggled the grief of her husband’s illness and ruling a country. She couldn’t afford to be her true self. She couldn’t afford to break down from accusations that she caused her king’s demise. So she cast aside the young woman who felt too much and cared too deeply.
Over the years, she closed off her heart and found solace in her position. That she was queen. That she held the highest position. That she was an exemplary ruler. Even the ton couldn’t deny that. Charlotte found pride in her work. In how others worshiped her. Slowly her worth became warped in her rank, her power over others, her control over them.
When Whistledown put this authority in jeopardy, the queen is furious. Who is she to question the queen of England? What did Whistledown know? What did she do for her country? What did she loose for her country?
When Edwina disobeys her by speaking to the king, Charlotte is astonished. This young woman’s future was in her hands. Yet instead of placating her, Edwina reaches out to a panicked stranger. The ton grovels at her feet to gain her favour. So for this powerless child to defy her out of kindness? Kindness for a man mocked and belittled by others? She reminded Charlotte of what mattered.
Young Charlotte wouldn’t have stood idle either. Her heart was always too big for her own good. The queen sees Edwina for the first time. A broken child grappling with an impossible situation. So Charlotte give her the power to decide. She gives her control. She gives her the truth. That true love changes. It forgets. It forces you to remember who you once were. And how you will live with it again and again.
Edwina reminded Charlotte of who she was. Charlotte was the adult Edwina desperately needed (and young Charlotte needed but didn’t have).

a small child came into the café today and asked to buy a chocolate truffle. he tapped a credit card on the reader and it did not go through, mainly because it was not a credit card but in fact a junior cinema pass. i gently explained he couldn't use that to buy things in shops and he looked so gutted that i was like "...but just this once you can have it for free, don't tell my boss though" he said thank you and walked out with his truffle and as he went i heard him chuckling to himself and saying "yes..... yes!!!!!" like the sickos comic

Parents get sooooooo mad when anyone even remotely implies that if we know it negatively impacts adults then it’s probably quite detrimental to the health and development of a young mind to stick an iPad in front of a child any time they show signs of Behaviors. “Are you calling me a bad parent?” Yeah. I am.

Annabeth: I, a child, had to earn Thalia’s love, that’s how the world works! I have to earn my moms love. Love is transactional, you gotta be worthy of it first silly :)

Crocodile finds a strange stray cat an 11-year old Nico Robin (AU where they met 13 years earlier. Robin's been on the run from the World Government for 3 years. Crocodile's 27 and has not set up base in Alabasta yet)
It seems like I have become possessed. By some sort of demon.

i know people make jokes and call percabeth their parents, but they are legitimately the most mom and dad coded characters i’ve ever seen. these two were BORN to be parents. they are literally 17 and already give off ‘married with 3 kids’ vibes
percy, with jeans full of pockets, none of which have anything remotely useful for 99% of situations (but he’s got plenty of jokes!)
and annabeth, with her literal mom purse, packed to the brim with anything that could possibly be needed in any situation

Here’s how I want robin in the next battinson movie:
The very first scene is Bruce and tiny Dick Grayson sitting across from each other at the dining table, staring each other down in silence, both clearly grumpy about it. Alfred is in the background watching them with concern. The silence lasts about 20 seconds before Dick speaks.
“Let me fight crime.” (said with all the petulance of a pouty 10 year old)
Bruce replies immediately. “No.” (this is clearly an ongoing argument)
Immediately cut to the next scene where Dick, wearing the iconic Robin suit, is having the time of his life swinging across the city while Bruce frantically tries to keep up with him while yelling at him to be careful like an anxious mother

When you call "influencers" what they are, freelance marketers, it makes the phrase "mommy/family influencer" sound just as dark as it is in reality.
They are using their children to sell you things. Some of these people intentionally have children solely in order to use them as marketing devices.
They aren't harmless or wholesome. They are expanding and normalizing new and different forms of familial abuse to a worldwide audience
