#this isnt vent dw!!! i dont smoke either i was just kinda going for some sort of vibe #i know its usually played for laughs or like. dark humor whenever ppl draw mascots without their heads and u can see the actor #but i always found it fascinating and a little sobering. ever since i was a kid ive always been hyperaware of ppl in costumes #like. even if i tried to block it out id be thinking the whole time 'its not real. theres a person in that suit who gets paid to do this' #it used to be an uncomfortable nagging feeling but now its like. oh yeah theres someone with a whole life story doing this. idk #i think when i tell ppl im not conscious of my body its like. im not dysphoric or experience dissociation but. at the same time #it feels like my physical body doesnt fully outwardly represent me..?? like some sort of costume #i like to phrase it as being a giant hairless mecha and inside theres a very tiny puppy piloting the damn thing #and the other thing is. when i draw my sona i dont really see it as what i /wish/ i looked like or how i want people to see me #its like being in a costume and just. fucking around with some sort of barrier between myself and others #plus mascots arent allowed to talk and i dont really. engage with other ppl in public spaces that it kinda feels like ad lib #i share a lot abt my life but ironically im also a private person..... i guess it just gives me some sort of control over my identity #my art #myart #my oc #sona #mascot #furry #??? is this furry art???? #twinkle #puppysona #edit: had to outline it bc i just realized it looks really weird on dark mode -_-

I assume it’s bc of the tv show but I’ve seen a couple posts randomly dunking on the last of us but for such dumb reasons. “I want to play lighthearted silly games instead of grimdark ones” “I want to play games that are more inextricable from the video game medium, games that are less cinematic” the good news is that those games exist! the last of us is in fact only two games out of the countless video games out there, so I would recommend not playing them if you don’t want to

Just discovered last night that kingdom hearts union cross had taken out the older play style of the game and replaced it with some freaking card fighting based style and I've never been more disappointed in my life

misunderstanding of my point on one of my post :/

#point was that people who argue that aa4 is more thematically off-base from Ace Attorney as a series than aa5 & 6 are #are ppl who just like to play Phoenix because of familiarity without much thought to his character and themes of AA #point was not ‘ppl who like 5&6 only like it because they can play Phoenix’ #especially because the ppl i was talking about dont even necessarily like DD or SOJ they just argue they are more align with the series #and my point was that 5 & 6 do not write the themes of curruption as well (among other things) as the previous games #so if you argue that aa4 feels more ‘off’ from the series than 5&6 do: then you just like the comfort of Phoenix being in the blue suit #because aa4 was different than the trilogy yes but it carried the themes of the trilogy with it into a new era in a way that made sense #aa5 coming in and talking about ‘the dark age of law’ and aa6 having Phoenix say ‘where im from ppl are innocent until proven guilty’ #is much more of a slap to the face to the trilogy than anything aa4 did #because these things deny and erase the fact that the trilogy was always about the system being currupt!! #the end of DD doesn’t fix that curruption it finds one bad guy and then has the characters say they fixed it and thats not how that works!! #aa4 doesn’t make the trilogy out to be the golden age of law; #it specifically highlights how that system is what lead to Trucy being abandoned and Phoenix losing all he worked towards #but I wasn’t saying there isn’t anything to like about 5 & 6 or that people only like them for Phoenix back im blue #you gotta not zoom in on one line and look at the rest of the things I said #never said 5 & 6 didn’t have characters that were interesting and charming

"He carefully plucks the egg from the gift pile, wrapping it in spare fabric and tucking it away inside a small wooden box within his backpack for safety. Not really wanting to stick around and get accidentally pulled into scary underground tunnels or something, he shakily bids the Well Creature farewell, and continues on through the forest, just following whatever he can find that looks vaguely like a path.. He makes an occasional stop to pick up a cool rock, harvest berries, or let the cat play in the grass, but mostly just wanders aimlessly, lost in daydreams and contemplations of how his New Fun Life Of Spontaneous Adventure is going so far......

Eventually, the forest tapers off into a more open area of land, hosting what seems like a humble little village. By this point, it's nearly nightfall, which reminds him that he's actually quite afraid of the dark, so he scrambles about town for a moment until finally finding the local Inn. After nervously stumbling inside, he rents the cheapest room available, then sits alone, snacking on some free leftover food scraps and plain water. It's been a tiring day, but in the spirit of becoming an adventurer and pushing himself to have as many experiences as possible, he figures he could hang around downstairs a little longer, perhaps get one more thing done before bed -- What should he do?"

So just 'generally seeking to be on a journey' works. #I wonder if that's the fantasy world version of a mid-life crisis. People reach a certain age and are just like 'I'm going to leave #my village and wander around and see what happens!!' and sometimes it works out and they become a famous #cartographer or a well known knight or work their way into a job in castle or etc. etc. and then others just return home after #like a week or something with no money and a broken arm lol #ANYWAY #I wanted to have so many options since an Inn is a good place where many branching paths could come from like. there could be such a #variety of people to talk to and things you could do there. but I'm still trying to limit it to 6 or less options each time #I wanted to have a second mysterious hooded figure described as trying very hard to look much more mysterious than #the first hooded figure but there isn't room for that with the text limits lol. but I thought it would be funny with like.. the fantasy #trope of there always being some shadowy guy in a corner in a tavern or something. but then you look and there's another even more shadowy #guy. then you look in the next corner and there's an even MORE shadowy guy. and sometimes they all stare at each other from #across the room. one of them pulls their hood down a bit and the other does it and they keep doing it until their faces are so covered they #cant see anymore. etc. etc. ANYWYA Ghbjhb #yeah! day 5!

You know how Abilities are supposed to be an expression or representation or something of your soul?

Well, we all know how most of the character's abilities are compatible with their personalities (honestly I love how this trope has actual canon LORE for it).

But Odasaku. Flawless. Seeing just a little bit ahead in the future. Do you wonder if that was an expression of how he continuously hoped for a better future away from bloodstained paths? Or how the name Flawless implies how he tried to make project himself (to Dazai, who definitely sort of romanticizes Odasaku sometimes, to his kids...to himself even)? How he wanted complete control over his future even if he couldn't do much for his present?

How when Gide attacked him, he specifically targeted that hope for the future in killing his younger adoptive siblings? How with their passing, he was made to realize that, oh...even the future can't be controlled? That his kids didn't HAVE a future and they were innocent so why would he have one?

Just Odasaku being overly hopeful, looking towards a hopeful future, being caught up in it so much that when one aspect of it falls apart so does he, trying to appear flawless to himself and others...

let me be frank. i bring up people treating lacroix like a baby while sexualizing nines and ignoring some the integral parts of his character A LOT. maybe it's kind of annoying, but i think about it a lot because this (strange) behavior mirrors the way people treat white vs. ethnic characters in other media too. and by strange i mean dehumanizing.

#we don't even know nines' canon race because it's actually not relevant or important to the course of the game #and neither is the race of any other character that isn't a kuei-jin #but i know people don't see him as this tall dark(haired) and mysterious and handsome SPANISH Haciendero who can pronounce Ibiza right #they think he's exotic because his last name's Rodriguez #thats how i think most white players perceive him anyways #to me he could be mexican he could be filipino he could come from any of the former spanish colonies #but either way TO ME people see him as this Other. he's not a prissy and refined Anglo-European kindred like Isaac or LaCroix or Strauss #so he's not treated the way they... particularly lacroix... is treated #and speaking on that. the way white and colored characters are portrayed Varies but there's a specific pattern to it in the game #ethnic chicks are strippers. man-eaters. and whiny bitches (kiki...) and the secondary antagonist of the game #white chicks are innocent bystanders (unless they're sex workers or homeless) and the upper echelon of kindred society (i.e. Therese) #DO YOU READ ME #the same applies to white dudes vs. ethnic dudes #ethnic dudes are criminals who you can kill with 0 repercussions or die anyways... or aging Asian men... #white dudes get major roles in the story. they're leaders. they're club goers. they're suited dudes walking down the street.

#I really appreciate how great a team Billy and Captain Marvel are #like at the beginning there was no hesitation Billy was just on a mission to get Captain Marvel his suit back #and here we see Cap make a hole for Billy to escape through and then transforms right back into him #and then since Cap can’t be in the crowded hotel Billy kicks a crook to get him to chase him to where there’s no other people #but of course there’s that underlying element that Billy is telling this embarrassing story about Captain Marvel on the radio #the classic Captain Marvel is just such a great character conceptually and executed so well #always and forever in my heart #also want to note that I find the idea of Cap interrogating that guy in the dark while naked very funny #fawcett comics #billy batson #my posts #comic panels

i want to give a bit of info to everyone who only knows miguel from the movie:

•he is not a vampire! his fangs are from his spider dna and are filled with paralyzing venom :) fun fact: the size of his fangs makes him mumble so other people don't see them while he's talking!

•he wasn't bitten by a spider like most spider people! spider dna was atomically spliced directly into his genes making him 50% spider

•he doesn't stick like other spider people! he uses the talons on his fingers to climb around and such! fun fact: these talons can easily slice through solid metal :)

•he doesn't have a spider sense! instead, all of his senses are majorly enhanced!

•yes! he always moves like that! he automatically moves like a feral monster because that's what he is!

•he has a fiancé named dana and a little brother named gabriel! they are the two most important people in his life :) fun fact: gabriel recognized that it was miguel in the spider suit the first time he saw him in it!

•his eyes are red because they can see in major details and in complete darkness. fun fact: this makes his eyes super sensitive to light, which constantly gives him migraines :)

•yes! his ass is that huge in the comics, too! everyone in the comics are always commenting on it ^^

•miguel is irish/mexican :)

•he is NOT the original spider man of his universe! there was a peter parker in the past before the year 2099
