Hi guys! I’m back. Now, I know it’s been a while since I last posted anything as uni has been kicking my butt, and I was busy with my final sem exams. But now that I’m back, I would like to do something simple to celebrate me reaching 506 followers (596 currently) a while ago, and that is to open a discord server.

Yep, you heard me. I’m having my own discord server! :3 So don’t be shy and come join it if you want. The mods are lovely and so are the users that have joined. The criteria for joining my server is that you have to be 15 or older ! And don’t even try to lie about your age, we can tell from the way you carry yourself.

But overtime as I spoke to you more, I can see that you're actually a very lovely and sweet person in your own way. Also, I love how you can be super blunt and say the most hilarious things with a serious tone. You’re self-assured, bold and not afraid to speak your mind, and that is what I admire about you. And thank you, for being there and talking sense into me when I needed it, I appreciate that very much 🥺

And boy oh boy, your writing? *Chef's kiss* the first time when I read one of your works, I fell in love with how easy on the eyes it is. Your writing style is simple yet beautiful. Your choice of words, the imagery and the cohesiveness too! It’s godtier💞, must stan it. I especially love your crack fics/hcs and you whole aesthetic as well. Ma'am, pls spare some of your skills.

@archn my dear cupcake! Honestly, you're the sweetest person I've ever met and you're so so supportive and patient 🥺, plus I love how crackhead you can get when we’re fooling around lmao. Other than that, you’re really easygoing, not only towards me, but to everyone in general. You’re like that cool cousin that everyone looks up to and deserves all the appreciation in the world.

Also, your writing style is gorgeous and you write the characters' personality so spot on! I also love the flow of words sm ahhhj. I especially love your headcanons of the bnha boyos working out with their fem s/o, that idea is really creative!

@mizukuni -- Mizuuu, my beautiful, gorgeous sweet red date! Babe, you have come so far from starting off as a new writing blog not long ago to finally achieving 1k followers! I just wanna say congrats for reaching your 10th milestone and you deserve every one of your followers! You can definitely go further and achieve more milestones. As for your writing style, it is simplistic but beautiful: you don’t use many flowery words to express your writing, yet those simple words you choose bring out what you want to show in your works exactly, and the flow of words is just rly smooth and I stan the cohesiveness 💞. Oh and you have such a cute minimalistic art style that is very pleasant on the eyes! And lately I can see that you’re improving at a quick pace; your drawings are getting more detailed than last time and that’s really amazing! Also, did I mention that I love your blog’s aesthetic as well?

Also, thank you for being there for me when I was feeling down and needed someone to talk to, I cherish that gesture of yours greatly luv 💞As for my first impression of you, I could tell you’re a really chill person and go with the flow easily. Honestly, that helped a lot to buffer my social awkwardness and made me open up to y’all easier. So yeah, I must say a very big thank you once again to you babe 💞

Even though you can be a little bit wild and spontaneous sometimes, that just adds to your charm! Plus, a little wild every once in a while does’t do harm < 3

As for your writing, it has a simple flow but it is easily understood. If writing styles were aesthetics/ sceneries, yours would be a small flowing stream-- small but smooth flowing, simple but not insignificant. Beauty in simplicity describes your works perfectly. Also, did I mention that you have a really adorable artstyle as well? Your art style is relatively simple but it is so so cute 🥺

@chizo --Guava my gummy bear! Babe, even though you are no longer active here, I just want to say a very big thank you. Thank you for giving us so many beautifully written works. Seriously, when I first met you through discord and followed your writing blog ( @izukyu ) I fell in love with your works. Something about your writing is just really special, plus I love the fact that you start sentences with small letters (Caps lock be damned lol). Your writing is a mixture of sophistication and simplicity, yet they compliment each other perfectly when you incorporate them into your works! It is pretty impressive because it is not an easy thing to do.

As for my first impression of you, I can tell you’re genuinely a vv caring and supportive person. You give off motherly vibes as well in a good way! You’re like the cool mom friend of the group who looks after everyone tbh 💝. So yeah, once again I want to say a very very big thank you to you again. Thank you for blessing the writers’ community with your wonderful fics and thank you for being such a good friend, let’s continue to be good friends in the near future!

@sourbkg -- Emmie my blueberry! Babey you are another sweetheart who is caring and so so supportive. I still remembered that time when I felt a little ill and sad and you immediately sent some cat pictures to cheer me up, thank you sm for that love, it helped me a great deal 💕, plus I’m never one to say no to cats and kitties! Also, you know exactly what to say at the right moments! Your easygoing personality makes it easy for other people to open up to you as well.

As for your writing style, it has a simple yet realistic approach. It’s like I can see what is happening in your works like a movie scene and I think that is really cool! Keep up the good work < 3! I really love that one shot with Shoto’s s/o attempting to scare him, it’s so cute ahh! And I love the ending lol, Shoto cracking a joke is golden.

@kozumie -- Kai! Oh man, where do I start. Okay, here we go. When I first met you in the server, I gravitated towards your easygoing, cool and chill vibe. After talking to you more, I can tell that I love the laid-back chill vibe you give off, you’re so awesome!

Also, even though I haven’t read much of your work, I must say I really love the way you write. It’s precise and your vocabulary really helps with imagery, the words you can help the readers easily envision what is going on in your story, and that is really amazing! Keep up the good work! Looking forward to more works from you.

@succu6us-- Anni! Babe, ahh it has been a while since we last spoke too hasn’t it? I missed you along with the others too 🥺 But now that I’m back for the time being, I’m going to be more active. Anni babe, your writing style is minimalistic yet gorgeous. I can tell you’re not a big fan of writing long paragraphs and that’s completely fine! Because if I’m being honest here, I tend to keep things simple and short as well if I can. Yet your simplistic style captures the gist of your works perfectly! did I mention that I love your nsfw works as well

Personally, whenever we talk to you, it gives off the vibe like a child wrapped up in a safety blanket-- toasty and secured.

@needs-serotonin -- Joanna! Muffin, you’re another one of the sweetest, most supportive people in the server. You’re so honest about what you say in the group and know when to say it at the exact time.

Also Joanna, you give off a really cool vibe! Initially, I was a bit shy and unsure on how to approach you but overtime as I warmed up to you, you’re actually pretty easy to get along with! I would love to get to know you better, let’s talk more dear.

@suckersuki -- Lei! Sugarplum, you are another one of the sweetest, most supportive people I’ve ever met. You are always there for us when we need it and I love how crackhead you can get hahaha, I still remembered that time when we teased you by shipping you with shinsou hehe. Anyways, back to the original topic of appreciating you, you are a great listener and offer good advice! Also, you’re very easy to talk to and give off a cute vibe!

Did I mention that I love your writing as well? Your style consists of a mixture of comedy and seriousness. Like, your hcs for the tik tok trend and argument scenario for the bnha boys are really funny; on the other hand, your fic with yandere shoto gives off a completely different aura and it sent shivers down my spine. Miss, pls spare some of them writing skills.

@babydabi -- Mei! Gingerbread, you are a another kind, loving and supportive soul that I have the honor of meeting in the dps. You are really easygoing and considerate. You are not afraid to speak up for your friends, but you do it with a careful choice of words and this shows that you’re really considerate.

As for your writing style, it is much like yourself. You know how to choose the best words to express what you want to and you’re cautious doing so. As I can be a little indecisive on deciding my choice of words, I’d love to learn from you!

Dear, tbh I was a little intimidated by your vibe when I first met you, bc you just seemed so cool,,, and I’m awkward and still don’t really know how to socialise well with people. But after interacting with you more, you’re actually pretty chill! Let’s talk more, I’d love to get to know you better.

As for your writing style, it has a certain smooth flowing, poetic aesthetic. I fell in love with it the moment I read your latest fic. The way you phrased everything is just so fitting! Pls teach me your ways miss.

You’re so bright, positive and always look at the good side of things even if the going starts to get tough. You bring a warm and chaotic good atmosphere to our server, which serves as a nice distraction whenever I had a bad day or feel upset about something.

Also, your art-style is really really cute! I like your shortcut way of drawing expressions and the anatomy of your characters haha. It’s not too detailed but you can tell what their expressions are saying and their poses are clear.

@bumbbo -- Max! Bubblegum, you’re another one of the most adorable people I ever met. You’re really easygoing and chill, but can be chaotic good sometimes, I like how crackhead you can get when Sunni is in on it too, haha. I especially love it when you two send memes and funny tiktoks to the group, I do enjoy them very much! Also, have I mentioned how much of a cutie and sweetheart you are? You’re so caring, giving and strong. Always willing to help out and so patient with us.🥺

Also, you have great taste in music and you’re great at writing too! Have I mentioned how on point your headcanons you wrote for us are? If I haven’t, now you know <3. Oh, and your editing skills are superb too!

You always watch out for us and make sure that we are doing well; if we felt down, you never fail to cheer us up by writing comfort headcanons for us and console us with the words we need to hear! Thank you so much, for doing all that for us dear 🥺 Also, the way you fluster us? You’re a pro at it snjssk, you make us blush so easily that it’s unfair 😭😭

And speaking of writing, you sure have a way with words macaron! Your writing has a poetic take in it, which is something I hope to incorporate into my writing style one day.

Few facts about myself:

1) 98 liner, ENFJ-T, currently an undergraduate majoring in Human Resources and minoring in Psychology. Ermm... other than that I'm Cancer sun&moon with a Scorpio rising.

2) Personality-wise: I'm known to be very driven and ambitious. Able to multitask very well. I'm also family-oriented and loyal to a fault. Will stand up for my family and friends. To my friends and family, I'm like their pillar of strength where they go to if they need help or a listening ear. I can come off as aggressive in terms of work as I'm result-oriented. I'm the mom friend of the group, bubbly and can be loud most of the times. Could get moody as well. Lastly... I'm quite enjoy staying at home. Even though I love staying at home, I enjoy going out to arcades, movies, theme parks or cafes.

3) Hobbies: singing, dancing, listening to music, sleeping, watching anime and horror movies, reading, surfing the net, hanging out with friends (eating and chatting), gaming (mobile games), cooking

4)My preference in a guy... I would want someone who supports me in my dreams and ambitions. Someone who is driven and ambitious as well, family-oriented and protective over me (i'll be the same of course). Someone who listens and has my back at all times. Loyal, funny, witty and can hold any types of conversation with me (meaningless banter to deep psychological topics). I would appreciate someone who is affectionate and physically clingy at times. Someone down to earth and loves staying at home as well 🤣

seventeen and karasuno: a comparison

hello everybody! here is my not so cursory post before I disappear once again into mere reblogs for another 2 months. I just finished the haikyuu manga and needless to say... I am devastated. I've also been following the series for 5 years..,.,,,., and I’ve noticed some similarities and points of comparison between karasuno and seventeen,, and I decided to look into it just a lil further both to understand my own love for both teams and to unpack my own biases and judgements!

1. history/ past

both Karasuno and seventeen hail from previous ‘powerhouse’es - Karasuno being known as the ‘fallen crows’ and pledis having been in a slump for a bit at the time of seventeen’s debut despite having debuted previously successful groups. I think this does fundamentally set up similar foundational values in both teams, and can possibly be the reason the hunger and drive to improve is so pertinent and palpable in both teams. I’d think both teams take on critical underdog roles in their respective spheres, and this is possibly a reason for their similarities!

2. outstanding values

there are certain values that I strongly associate both teams with, and here I wanna unpack that a lil more and see exactly what it is that these two teams really have in common! in particular, these values are teamwork, earnestness, energy, and unpredictability.

teamwork

I think the cornerstone of both teams is undeniably their strong strong teamwork. at the core of Karasuno is their cohesion, their ability to pick up after each other and cover for each other - their unwavering confidence and reliance on each other. think Hinata’s faith in Kageyama, Asahi’s faith in Nishinoya, their seamless synchronised attacks and the sheer amount of love and support they have for each other. and seventeen definitely also displays this! It’s a known fact that seventeen is known for their ridiculously synchronised everything, from their choreography to their mistakes (lol), and for their teamwork. think woozi supporting the rest of the members in recording, in their musicality, think about how their love for each other (when asked to describe svt,, answers like ‘my everything’ ‘my youth’ ‘family’ ,,,, pls… how can u not cry…….) and just how much they all complement each other so well (hiiing) and spend time with each other even during holidays and go for family dinners together like. do you see what I mean??? these two teams love each other so much………

earnestness

ok imo I think svt is one of the most genuine kpop groups out there, in their sincere focus and love for their art, in the way they (esp woozi, dk, vern, dino) are so focused on honing their skills, improving their musicianship and doing it for each other, to grow together, to continue making music and having fun with their friends… I think coups mentioned somewhere once that though they started out fixating a lot on achievements and awards, they have grown to focus more on just doing what they love w the people they love for a long time…… and …. :””””””( yeah. although this point isn’t super pertinent and present in karasuno, it’s definitely there too, somewhat! the way they’re all focused on improving, on becoming better versions of themselves and fighting it out together as a team (quote kags saying ‘but I wanted to do it with this team’,,,… cry…….) and not for the fame, not really for anything else, but to get good and play volleyball for a long time…. hiiiiinnngggggg

energy

ok I think I might be kinda biased on this one, and I think it overlaps a lil with the earnestness point, but I rly rly think both teams have this !!!! presence on the court and on the stage… it’s likely a combination of how special the individual members are and their synergy, and also how dedicated they are to putting on a good performance and winning. to me they kinda just vibe the same way, with that boundless, contained energy that kinda exudes in the form of self-assuredness and quiet, stable confidence. ya know??? ok this is rly more vibey than anything tangible so it’s a lil hard to explain but I hope you get what I mean!

unpredictability

ok so maybe unpredictability might not be the best word, but Karasuno is always pulling ridiculous plays out of their asses in the middle of matches and bewildering everyone,, which to me is kinda similar to how seventeen always comes up with tracks that are so different, so wow (including and sometimes especially their b-sides!), and so refreshing. their performances as well, always leave an impression due to how ! woah! they are and I think that stems from a certain degree of unpredictability and flexibility - you never really know what svt’s new music is gonna sound like, what Karasuno’s next play is going to be, but you know that in both cases, they’re the only ones who can pull those off flawlessly (think the Miya twins’ imitation freak duo quick, and seventeen’s entire. discography and how immaculate and ! wonderful it is…… music analysis post for another day…)

3. special mention for similarities between characters/ members! hehe

s.coups and daichi: ok. i feel like this is the most obvious comparison.. like they are both tired dads and so responsible.. their thighs.. how reliable they are as pillars for their teams, but also…. how cute and actually equally reliant they are on their teammates as well (think coups’ duality, daichi’s new year eve dream (nightmare? LOL) and how they don’t take all the limelight for themselves but support the team by uplifting their teammates instead and making sure they have the space and freedom to do what they want (daichi always picking up receives on court despite being a spiker, coups always talking to the company and sitting in on meetings even when he doesn’t have to be there….. dads…)

jeonghan and suga: both pretty faces with a penchant for stirring shit LOL like. I always thought both of them were really similar in this aspect, cause although they are definitely both core emotional pillars for their teammates and members, they also stir up a lot of shit and join in on a lot of shenanigans (think Suga riling up daichi for fun and how that is… very similar to how jeonghan screws around w coups) but they’re also v caring and sweet at the same time… we love duality and consistency……

hoshi and nishinoya: ok. I actually think hoshi’s a mix of kags and nishinoya, but def more noya….. like they both have their personal Brand - noya’s rolling thunder, hoshi’s tiger agenda, they’re both reliable and cornerstones of a certain important skill in their teams, and they both have this willpower and determination to fight it out and improve on themselves. not! to mention how they’re like disciplined but also ridiculously chaotic with the rest of their teammates as well and how they’re always both doing dumb stuff…….. (booseoksoon and the tanaka/hinata/noya circus)

dk and asahi: I think this is a comparison that has been made quite a lot as well! clearly, both dk and asahi are the aces (dk as the main vocal and asahi…. is literally an ace) but they’re also prone to insecurity and constantly asking a lot of themselves….. although they’re not completely the same (as is for all the pairs here) I think the way they’re both kinda timid and demand a lot from themselves is p similar and! I also love them both very much

dino and hinata: ok while. I think dino’s a lot smarter than hinata, I think their work ethic is pretty similar - think dino who literally grew up dancing and how much passion and drive he has to prove himself and improve in that regard, and how much he loves it as well. this to me is p similar to Hinata’s unabashed love for volleyball - their ambition is also p similar to me, in that they don’t shy away from professing their desire to win and to become the best (dino’s artist who will go down in history ambition and hinata’s one-track determination to become the greatest) also the both of them just have a lot of energy and ! sprite! also dino’s laugh is. so sunny it screams hinata’s sunny vibe.

ok so basically in conclusion,, this whole thing was just for me to get my feelings out a lil bit and organise some vague comparisons I had thought about. i really hope there’s a significant enough overlap between the two fandoms so more people can appreciate and understand what I’m saying so we can talk about it!! I personally think it’s super interesting how I’m the most involved in these two fandoms, and how they have so many similarities… I think it reveals the values that I value in judging others, and I’d urge you to consider and reflect on the things/ people/ shows you like and see if there are any similarities there! going a lil meta on myself has been really fun so please! don’t be shy to talk to me about this and any other similarities you might find between anime and kpop LOL

How long will they last? - ignoring the obvious fate at the end of disc 1, i’ve always imagined it would have been a forever thing. cloud deserved a fucking nap after everything that happens, and he deserves soft things, too. obviously they both have some shit they have to work through but, given how cloud develops around people he cares for, i think they could be a support pillar for one another. let them retire to some unknown edge of the planet and live in peace together.

How quickly did/will they fall in love? - not. fast. at. all. which would you like me to address first: cloud’s trauma or aerith’s? because they’re both dealing with incredibly heavy shit in very different ways. and the hilarious part is that their trauma stems from the same place? shinra? shinra. so, between cloud taking a while to open up and realize he has feelings in general ------ like as a human being, and then for someone else, and aerith allowing herself to properly grieve for zack and for her lost fucking childhood that she represses into sweet smiles ... it takes a bit.

How was their first kiss? - i’m really torn between two gut feelings here. i want to say it was soft because of the above reasons. i also want to say it was soft because cloud is a socially awkward turtle and very obviously has a difficult time expressing himself, never mind emotionally / romantically. so the initial feeling is that it’s soft and tenuous and just full of is it okay if i? my second gut feeling says that it’s heat of the moment. not so much a rush of adrenaline as it is ... if i don’t do this now, i might never get the chance to. the kind where your mouth hurts when you’re done because you pressed yourself so hard and fast into the other person. urgent.

Who cleans the room? - i don’t see either of them being particularly messy individuals. cloud is too uniform for it, and aerith just likes to have a cozy feeling, and clutter isn’t cozy. so both pick up after themselves as they go.

Who cleans up after the pets? - mostly aerith, i’d imagine.

Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? - neither.

Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? - cloud. because it means being SOCIAL.

Who takes the longer showers/baths? - depends. aerith because she has longer hair. cloud because he zones the fuck out.

Who takes the dog out for a walk? - i feel like cloud? to get a little self-relaxation time. just chill with the pup.

How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? - aerith does it every holiday. cloud helps when he thinks she needs it lmao.

What are their goals for the relationship? - to get some fucking sleep. not like “ ah, a good night’s sleep ” but more ... no problems, no world ending, no sephiroth, no planet crying, no fucking sidequests (lmao). just ... them, alone but together, enjoying their time and being fucking normal.

you need to get down to the courtyard. now.

Y/n stares down at her phone, blinking lamely at it as she reads Jin’s message. She doesn’t know what’s happening, or if she’s done something to prompt a message so sharp from him. She doesn’t even remember the last time she saw Jin- she slept through breakfast today after being up so late with Yoongi. Either way, this is possibly the most urgent text she’s ever gotten from him, so she’s up and slipping on her shoes without even bothering to text him back.

She rushes out of the common room, on the verge of running once she reaches the top of the steps and can hear the sounds of cheering and yelling coming from just outside the Entrance Hall. Y/n rounds the corner and the courtyard comes into view through some pillars in the wall. What she sees has her blood running cold.

There, in the middle of the space, is Jungkook- she identifies him easily even from behind, so familiar with his frame and profile. She can also see he’s facing someone else, and by the tenseness of his shoulders and the way he throws his body around, she can tell he’s gotten into a fight. She starts to run a little faster, keeping her eyes on the fight as she makes her way down the corridor. But when Jungkook plants one foot behind himself and pivots his body, sending his opponent flying forward with the force of Jungkook’s hold on his robes, Y/n’s feet skid to a stop, her eyes widening as her heart pounds violently in her ears.

Stumbling to the ground, bruised and bloody, is Min Yoongi. His face is covered in blood, his shirt ripped and his knuckles all scratched up. He hits the ground with a sound that has Y/n yelling out to him, unable to stop herself as she stands there, rooted to her spot. She doesn’t expect him to hear her through the cheering and lewd comments of the large crowd that’s gathered in the time since the fight started, but his head snaps up as if he’d been listening for her.

His eyes meet hers, the expression in them pained and dark. The soft skin around his left eye is already turning purple and his lip is completely split in the middle, trickles of blood leaving his mouth when he opens it. He’s trying to call out to her, but he can’t find it in himself to say her name. He knows he doesn’t deserve to, knows that this day was going to come and that he was going to handle it himself, never wishing for her to witness it. He’s known from the start that her friends would never approve of him, that it might even be impossible for her to convince them not to start problems with him once they found out. He knew this would happen, and no matter how hard it is for him to let it happen, he can’t let her know how much it hurts. So he doesn’t. He closes his eyes and tries to pretend she’s not there.

When Jungkook reaches forward and latches onto the back of his head, gripping the hair there and yanking so hard that Yoongi goes flying onto his back like a ragdoll- that’s when her feet start working again. Y/n propels herself forward, through the entrance to the courtyard, and heads straight for the pair in the middle only to be stopped by the arms that wrap themselves around her waist and keep her from moving forward. She turns her head, trying to identify her captor, but she doesn’t need to. She can see the boys standing behind her, each wearing varying expressions of distress and disbelief, each avoiding her gaze as if she were the devil. The only one missing from the group is Jin, and she knows almost instinctively that he’s the one holding her.

“They know, Y/n. They know everything.” His voice fills her ears, stopping her heart as she realizes what they must be feeling. She doesn’t know how they found out or what she should have done differently to prevent this situation, but they know. And she can’t help the way her heart shatters at the thought of how betrayed they must feel, how much she lied to them about knowing Yoongi and where she was spending all her time these days.

She tries to free herself from Jin’s grasp, but his hold on her only tightens as she’s forced to watch Jungkook’s fists fly through the air and make contact with Yoongi’s body. He’s everywhere, kicking and pulling and punching through Yoongi’s defenses, ripping the clothes on the older boy’s torso as he beats him in broad daylight. Y/n can hear everyone else in the courtyard yelling, excited by the prospect of watching Yoongi lose a fight for once in his life, but all she can focus on is the feeling of heart-wrenching pain as she watches one of her best friends in the whole world pummel the shit out of this man who’s finally allowed her into his life and shown her the truth of his world. She turns again to look back at her friends, begging them silently to help her, but they’ve all chosen to steer clear of her and let Jungkook hurt Yoongi as Yoongi just lies on the ground and takes it.

Wait- why is he just letting Jungkook hit him? Why isn’t he fighting back??

Y/n watches more closely now, becoming more and more anxious as she realizes that Yoongi is indeed just lying on the ground letting Jungkook beat his ass. He has his arms crossed over his face, leaving the rest of his body vulnerable to the boy’s attacks. Jungkook has straddled Yoongi and is simply swinging down with all of his might, connecting his fists with as much flesh and bone as he can. She can see Jungkook saying something to Yoongi, but the crowd is too riled up for her to hear anything except Jin whispering in her ear to just let it happen, that they can figure everything out once it’s over.

Jungkook takes one more swing at Yoongi’s face, finally managing to break through the weak defense of arms and elbows and landing a hit on Yoongi’s cheek, snapping his head to the side, in the direction of Y/n and her friends. Y/n watches as blood flies from his mouth, staining the ground crimson red. She watches as Yoongi’s lips part to try to take in any form of air after the beating from the angry Gryffindor, watches as those very lips shake in pain and bleed from the split in the middle. She watches as his eyes flit over to her for just a moment, watches as his eyes find hers, and she almost feels like he’s trying to tell her something, but before she can figure it out he’s closing his eyes slowly and turning away from her again.

She sees Jungkook bring his arm back again, his knuckles already so bloody and bruised but begging for more, and she knows she can’t stand it any longer. Pushing against Jin’s hold with everything she’s got, she rips herself from his arms and rushes forward, almost stumbling in her panic to get to them.

“Jungkook, stop!!” Jungkook’s head whips up to look at her, eyes wide and arm frozen mid-air. She latches onto the front of his robes, dragging him off of Yoongi as the crowd watches with baited breath. She keeps a tight hold on him, pulling him away from the boy lying still in the middle of the courtyard, covered in blood. She almost leaves Jungkook there to check on him, but she can see Yoongi slowly curling in on himself and attempting to get up, so she chooses instead to turn on the boy in front of her.

“Jungkook, what the fuck are you doing? Why are you doing this?” He glares down at her, motioning back at the bloodied boy behind him.

“Why didn’t you tell me, Y/n? Why didn’t you tell us? We spent all this time worrying about where you’re running off to in the middle of night or why you don’t come to lunch sometimes and- what, you’re spending all this time with him? That’s Min Yoongi, Y/n, do you understand that?” Jungkook says all this while leaning in close to her, keeping his words away from as many curious ears as he can, knowing just how bad this could get for Y/n if anyone else found out. He can already feel a little guilt settling in, understanding that this is probably also very hard for her, but he couldn’t help the rage that overtook him when he saw Yoongi walking into the Great Hall that day. He couldn’t help the way he angrily admitted the truth of what he’d seen the night before to the rest of the boys, ensuring their support when he finally challenged Yoongi to the fight he’d been itching to start for years. Even now, his guilt is starting to fade back into anger at the thought of this man taking hold of his friend and potentially tricking her into thinking he wasn’t all that bad.

“Jungkook, don’t you think I know who the fuck I’ve been spending time with? I know you’re overprotective, and I know this is not something to take lightly, but did you really have to beat the shit out of him? Look at him! You’re using this as an excuse to start that fight you’ve always wanted with him, but he didn’t even fight back! Are you happy now? Are you happy knowing this is what you’ve done?” Y/n grabs Jungkook by the shoulders and spins him around, forcing him to look at the damage he’s caused. Yoongi has managed to get up in the time they’ve been talking, leaning heavily against the fountain that stands in the middle of the courtyard. He’s hunched over, blood dripping from his mouth and splattering against the ground softly as he holds his ribs gingerly with one arm. His shirt is torn in several places, revealing the bruising skin beneath it.

The arm that holds his ribs is covered in cuts and scratches, and his throat is beginning to show signs of a few times when Jungkook had chosen to choke the man, bright red fingerprints painting the sides of his neck. Jungkook can see that those angry red marks will fade to dark purple bruises by the end of the night, and suddenly his anger is becoming guilt again.

By now the other boys have pushed through the crowd and made it over to Jungkook and Y/n. Jimin has one hand on Y/n’s arm, his eyes begging her to tell him everything was a misunderstanding, but all she can do is look down at her shoes and try not to cry when she feels his hand slip away. Namjoon and Hobi are flanking Jungkook, apparently having decided that if he were to try anything else that they would actually step in this time. Tae presses a hand to Jungkook’s back, whispering gently that he should go inside and get cleaned up. Jungkook nods quietly, taking one last glance at Y/n before he turns away from her completely, the other boys following after him. Y/n tries to follow too, but Jin pulls her back, holding her there as the crowd starts to lose interest in the situation and go back to their normal happenings.

“Stay here, Y/n. Take care of Yoongi. I’ll try my best to explain everything to the boys.” Y/n blinks up at him, shaking her head slightly.

“I should do this… This is my fault, I should handle it.” She tries to follow after the boys again, but Jin’s grip on her elbow is steady.

“Seriously, I think maybe it’s best if we all aren’t in the same room right now. I’ll go upstairs with them, and then when they’ve cooled down we’ll text the chat or something. Just stay here. Take care of him.” Jin motions in the direction of the slumped boy, now sitting with his back against the fountain in his attempt to recover. Y/n stares at him, taking note of the state he’s in, before nodding once, knowing she’s only going to make matters worse if she follows the boys back now. Jin squeezes her arm reassuringly before letting go, running after their friends in an attempt to diffuse the situation.

Y/n sighs, running her fingers through her hair once before heading over to Yoongi. She can see his eyes are closed, his breathing labored and accompanied with some wincing. When she reaches him, she squats down next to him and stares down at him for just a moment, taking him in. It’s only a moment, but it’s enough for Yoongi to notice her presence, and when he does his eyelids flicker open, his gaze coming up to meet hers.

They hold eye contact for a few seconds, long enough for Yoongi to understand the look in Y/n’s eyes. It isn’t pity or sadness like he had expected. It’s guilt. It’s guilt, and he almost hates it more than the pity he was anticipating. It has the pain in his body amplifying and hurting him even more, the realization that she blames herself hitting him harder than Jungkook ever could. He tries his best to change the look in her eyes, even for just a moment. Shifting lightly so that he’s pressed more comfortably against the fountain, Yoongi ignores the shooting pain in his body as he addresses her.

“You should have followed your friends.” Y/n blinks down at him once, clearly confused, so he continues, keeping his eyes on the ground in front of him. “I’m fine, Y/n. This isn’t as bad as it looks- don’t scoff at me like that, I’m serious.” He’s heard the way her breathing’s changed, the way she’s dismissed his words as if catching him in his lie. It doesn’t matter how hurt he really is, he can’t let her feel bad about this. “Listen, just go after them. Fix your friendships. Those are more important.” He can see Y/n reaching out to him, but frankly he’s too weak to push her away so he just closes his eyes and tries not to flinch when her warm hand makes the softest of contact with his cheek.

“You look like shit.” His eyes fly open, meeting hers as he takes in her comment. She’s obviously trying not to laugh. He rolls his eyes, the only functioning part of him at this point.

okay okay so i’m gonna put this all under a cut for those who haven’t seen the movie and wish to remain spoiler free, and i’ll also put a couple images so that mobile users (who sometimes automatically see the post, apparently?) to warn them to scroll past!

SO FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO SAY that genuinely, this movie changed my life. I have never been as excited or happy about a movie as I was with this one, and can find few (if any) flaws with it. I would have to be hyper-nitpicky if I wanted to point out anything wrong with it, but overall, I gotta say, this movie inspired me, made me cry, made me laugh out loud, made me shake and jitter with excitement.

I should point out that, yes, the visuals can be kinda jarring, especially for sensitive people like me who react to flashing stimulus and abrupt movement very poorly, but I honestly LOVED the visual aspect of the film. The character design is incredible, the animation is so unique and stunning, and every single person has this wonderful individuality in the way they look and move that it just blows me away. This movie is already a frontrunner for an Oscar in the animation category, apparently, and it’s easy to see why.

The writing is also impeccable, with a quick pace and genuine humanity to it, and it feels so bright and alive! The way people talk is so full of character and personality, and Miles’ codeswitching is adorable and fun to listen to, and everyone has such a special and unique personality that comes through how they speak. The voice acting is INCREDIBLE and the array of the cast is SO awesome and I LOVE everyone who was in it!

I literally am so excited about everything that I’m having a hard time keeping this post linear and sensical, but I just! Love it so much!

Some people criticize the film by saying that it’s not really the “first black Spiderman movie” because Miles “shares the spotlight”, but, honestly? That didn’t come across to me at all. This movie felt entirely centered on Miles. Yes, Peter B. Parker played a big role, but, like, every movie has supporting characters and co-mains. I understand the frustration, but that’d kinda be like saying that Captain America: The First Avenger isn’t Steve’s story because Peggy gets screentime and so does Bucky. But I also do get where people are coming from and I find the frustration very valid.

But I LOVE all the spider-people, and they didn’t actually overwhelm the movie. Peni, SpiderNoir, and SpiderHam all took backseats. They were fun additions, but didn’t ever detract from the experience of this being Miles’ story. Even Gwen didn’t derail the film, or even Peter B.! They all stayed in their lanes and moved Miles’ story along, more like the wheels propelling him than roadblocks obfuscating his progression.

I loved every one of the characters, and I got so attached to all of them; Miles’ family really stands out to me, because they are such strong and loving characters, and it is so, so sadly rare to see loving black families portrayed like this. Jefferson, Miles’ dad, is allowed to be flawed without ever crossing the line into “bad dad” territory. He’s allowed to be wrong but still love his son and be doing the absolute best for him. Even Miles’ “bad” uncle, Aaron, made me cry and love him. When Aaron died, I was horrified (mostly because, I mean, god, we really did not need to see another black man getting shot by a white guy...), but they also never demonized Aaron, or downplayed the tragedy of his loss. He was heroic, even in his mistakes, and I think that was really noble on the part of the storytellers.

The movie just feels so lived in and loved and human, and you can tell that it’s just a work of art and love and passion. It’s a game-changer. I legitimately consider it the best Marvel movie ever made, on par with Black Panther in terms of artistic value and importance. It’s the fun of Thor: Ragnarok and the art and significance of Black Panther rolled into one, unique, amazing bundle that has forever set the bar for how I want movies, especially movies intended for families and children to be.

“Anyone can wear the mask” means something. It may sound like a cheesy cop-out, but it means that we don’t have to look up to Perfect Pillars Of White Heroism as our standards. It means black children from Brooklyn are heroes. Jewish people are heroes. Women are heroes. Asian people are heroes. Even Miles’ parents are heroes, and it shows the wide gamut of good people and what we owe to each other. While neither Rio nor Jefferson Morales-Davis are “superheroes”, they are legitimate heroes, doing their part to make the world a better place.

Anyway, moving on; the jokes in the movie are awesome, and my family has been throwing them back and forth ever since we saw the movie. SpiderHam’s t-pose ascension into the black hole and “keep this, it’ll fit in your pocket” had us in tears. SpiderNoir and the Rubik’s cube? Incredible. Peter B. crying in the shower? Artistry.

AND NOW FOR ME TO TALK ABOUT THE AFTER CREDITS SCENE BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN HOLDING IT IN FOR S O L O N G

When I read that Oscar had a cameo in the movie, I needed to know. It was the only spoiler I allowed myself to know about, and when I heard he was going to be Spider-Man 2099/Miguel O’Hara, I flipped. I read nothing else about the scene, and wanted to go in blind, but I researched Miguel and, well, you know, I fell in love!

His scene was SO good and SO funny and I LOVE Miguel SO much, you have no idea. I am SO excited for him to be in the next movie (fingers crossed!) and can’t wait to see more of him. I do hope they give him more screen time, because he’s a great character, and because it’d be amazing to have a Latino Spider-Man AND a Afrolatino Spider-Man! And because, you know, more Oscar is always ideal.

I love, love, love Miguel, and Oscar was so funny (he has amazing comedic timing and such great range, omg), and I am desperate to see more of him. I haven’t stopped bombarding my poor friend Cydney with love and affection for Miggy in, like, two weeks. I’m sure she’s sick of it by now. Also, I kinda wanna write stuff about Miggy, lowkey, as self-indulgence, but for now I’ll just keep that foolishness to myself lol.

Anyway, the movie is chock-full of amazing things, both from an artistic/cultural standpoint and from a Marvel-fan standpoint: so many easter eggs and little surprises, so much amazing writing, so much amazing character design, just!! So! Good! Please go see it immediately, because I’m itching to see it again and don’t know how I can resist going in for a second watch.

Also, Peter B. Parker is Jewish and it’s canon and if you want to step up and fight me about it, feel free to, but I will kick your ass. I will. Know this. Jewish Spider-Man FOREVER, FOOLS. No one is allowed to thirst after him if they also ignore his being Jewish or disrespect it, so if you wanna love him, you gotta love his Judaism too, or I’ll fist-fight you behind the Denny’s at 3 am and knock you the hell out.

also john mulaney’s cussing outtakes for spiderham are the funniest thing on earth and i’m crying

OH and I have the art book for the movie and everything is so *kisses fingers like an Italian cook* B E A U T I F U L! And the soundtrack? BOY I TELL YA I was listening to it for WEEKS in advance even when there were only three songs released and some of those tracks are, like, incredibly powerful, whooh.

Anyway GO SEE SPIDERVERSE. I LOVE IT. ALL OTHER SPIDER-MAN MOVIES ARE DOOKIE BY COMPARISON.

pls help me LOL i just need someone to justify the GinTae moments in the manga especially in the recent arc (silver soul arc). are you analyzing how the author gives this ship a 'different vibe' compared to other ships? LOLOLOL thaanks!

WARNING: SPOILER AHEAD

GinTae is the most mature/calm ship in Gintama, imo. The difference of this ship between the rest of the ships is neither of them is pinning on one another so there’s just speculations about how these two feel. Nevertheless, you will see how much they care for each other and look for each other. Otae is more vocal and blatant when it comes to caring for Gintoki while Gintoki gathers all the gang whenever Tae’s involved, and since he wants to help Shinpachi. They mask each other’s worry by saying everyone’s worried or that Kagura and Shinpachi can’t live without either of them. It’s true though, but for sure with Otae or Gintoki missing, the two will also search for each other (see Yagyuu arc, BFY, Silver Soul, and the present time skip arc how they are greatly affected without each other’s presence)

Tae’s place in Gintoki’s life was a little vague (until Beam Saber, for me) since you can’t consider her as his love interest because there is no affirmation of her feelings, unlike Sacchan and Tsukuyo. Though, for many occasions, Sacchan is jealous of Otae. Likewise, Gintoki has shown no interest in women except for Ketsuno Ana, but Kondo and Kyuubei being so worked up whenever Gintoki came closer to Otae tells a lot.

Also the parallel between the canon couples in the series and GinTae are tremendous. Let’s consider appearance wise, personality, situation, etc: HijiMitsu, Nappo’s Parents, and TatsuAya:

1. HijiMitsu. The author himself confirmed the similarities between Hijikata and Gintoki (I won’t write them down cause I won’t be able to finish it today lol). I think these two are really attracted to motherly-sisterly type. They like their subordinates older sisters. Meanwhile, Mitsuba and Otae have a lot of similarities. Except for their gentle appearance and hidden sadism, they both are big sisters who supports/ed their younger siblings at a very young age. HijiMitsu and GinTae also share some food/condiment addiction; mayo & spicy food, and sweet foods & ice cream. Mitsuba and Otae are involved in the faction (Yorozuya and Shinsegumi), although they are not often seen with them fighting, they are the support and home of their boys/group.

2. Nappo’s Parents. Appearance wise. Also Sacchan mistook Tae and Gin for Nappo’s parents.

3. TatsuAya. I consider this as the most important parallel in all of the canon couples in Gintama. Tatsugorou and Ayano, from the looks of it, used to be the King and Queen of Kabukichou. They both loved the town and its people, no wonder they connected and fell in love. Appearance wise also, the resemblance is uncanny. No doubt that Young Otose looks like Otae, and Tatsugorou being Gintoki and Hijikata hybrid. Sorachi himself confirmed not once, not twice, but thrice in the manga the Gintoki= Tatsugorou. Jirocho saw the will the Tatsu in Gintoki, the determination to protect the town, what they love no matter what. On the other hand, Otose and Otae became really close during the start of Silver Soul arc, it’s like Sorachi emphasizing the similarities between them, the support and home of everyone in the town, the mother/big sister/queen of the town.

I just wanna make clear that Otae is not Otose’s successor, Otose’s crown belongs to Gintoki. Tae just happened to enter the Deva since the seized of Kada. Saigou and Otose asked her to be a part of the Pillars of the town. Why? It might not seem like it but Otae is influential. She has one of the biggest military forces and families of samurai on her side; the Yagyuu and Shinsegumi. So since the retirement of the old, the new King and Queen of Kabukichou is no doubt Otae and Gintoki. Although Gintoki might not like the title, he is still the King/ hero that they chose, for sure. Just like Jirocho.

I analyze this ship’s hints/worth based on the given context of the author himself through the characters because it’s as if Sorachi saying all of them know about Otae and Gintoki’s attraction for one another except for them themselves. I listed the characters and the top major clues of GinTae through the characters eye in here . With the amount of ship teases that Sorachi gives to each harem, what’s the purpose of him giving serious and comedic major hints on GinTae? (S P O I L E R) Haven’t I read the latest chapter re: Otose’s Final Fantasy, I won’t be this sure that Sorachi’s ultimate pick for Gin is really Otae, although not necessarily they end up together as in sweet, sweet.

Well, Gintoki and Otae’s fates are connected (through Shinpachi) in the first place, and they will always end up being with each other no matter how the world flip everything upside down since #Yorozuya5ever exist. You heard Gintoki in Beam Saber arc, that wherever in the world they are, he will find each of them for sure. *coughs BFY, coughs*

hi hi my friends ! i have finally compiled all of my backstory files & have decided to put them together for u in one giant post since some of u were interested ! i linked the texts where certain info is referenced for some things that u might have missed !!!! n also u don’t have 2 read this @ all like y/n is still YOU these are just like the mini fics i wrote 2 help me write the texts so they’re all unique 2 each individual boy n everyone has their own stories n personalities !

how they met:

they met @ a clothing store !!! the stylists had finally caught on that yoongi had been taking home his ~work clothes because honestly he had been a lil too lazy to shop or dress himself lately and after he gave them back he was left w very little clean things and didn’t want to go through their communal laundry pile n figure out what was his so he decided to just shop instead. so he went out w the standard celebrity hat + mask disguise combo and tbh noticed y/n working in the shop right away bc she was in the darks section hidden between two racks of sweaters n secretly using her phone. and it was kinda cute n funny to him 1. bc she was slacking off during work and 2. bc she was dressed in white n pastel pink so she did more standing out than blending in. n so yoongi pretended to look thru a rack of black sweaters for a few mins before he cleared his throat n said “is playing hide and seek part of the job?” and y/n obvi jumped bc she didn’t even realize someone had been in that section and dropped her phone on the ground. so she was pouty and ready to kinda say something bratty back but as soon as she took one look @ yoongi n his hat + mask she bursted into laughter and said “you look like a walking police sketch” min yoongi pretty much lost to the demonic possession that is love @ that very moment

backstory: yoongi’s y/n

her parents run an art gallery in gangnam !!! they always gave her lots of freedom 2 pursue her own interests so when she was little she did everything from piano to taekwondo to dance to collecting dragon ball figurines but also rilakkumas. she never rly had 2 worry abt anything bc her parents are super supportive. and now……..because she’s always had so much freedom, she doesn’t exactly know what she wants to do w her life ??? because a lot of things interest her ?? and choosing one thing doesn’t seem like a decision she’s ready to make yet !?? so she got the job @ the clothing store bc she wanted some responsibility (even tho she breaks company policy n is on her phone half of her shift) and routine. n it made her feel a little less guilty abt being ~taken care of i guess ???? but tbh she doesn’t give herself enough credit bc she does a lot for other ppl ??? esp for her parents like she’s always helping out @ the gallery and running errands hmm other things. she has an older brother who studies film (her fam is generally v artistic) n he’s quite serious n like the definition of perfect child and she likes to tease him a lot but she takes care of him a bit too she’ll call him like “ i dropped off some candles n boxes of tea @ ur apartment bc yesterday you looked so stressed u kinda resembled goku abt to go super saiyan. that can’t be good for ur health !!! take care of urself ”!!!! um tbh when yoongi n y/n were getting to know each other like ~deeply she was kinda worried that he’d be put off by her upbringing bc tho they are not completely polar opposite, his is still very very different from hers and she was afraid that maybe he’d judge her for it but it wasn’t like that @ all !!!! yoongi was v happy & relived (?!!!) to hear this bc he knew that she had 3 pillars of support if he couldn’t be there for some reason and also it was so……….. relieving………. for his heart to know that she hadn’t been hardened by the world ??? and like y/n had been studying his reaction super closely totally prepared for some judgment but the only thought in yoongi’s head was “thank god thank god thank god” because y/n is like his own little heaven & that’s hella cheesy for him to think so it’s probably why he calls her demon instead. he likes that she has many interests because she always has something new to tell him and she knows a little abt everything so when they go out n she explains something to him he feels proud ???? and impressed and smitten ?? and not the usual annoyed bc she talks abt things a lot cuter and with less pretense than namjoon does when he’s being a know it all. but he doesn’t feel like y/n is a know it all. she’s just a sharer !!!! she wants to share everything w yoongi from random facts abt soccer or art or the extensive n complicated backstory of the band gorillaz & she gets excited about it and yoongi LOVES it !!!! he loves that when she’s excited the first thing she thinks abt is telling him so he can be excited too and he loves that he doesn’t have to guess what she’s thinking or feeling bc she tells him everything. she doesn’t hide from him and so he feels like he can’t hide from her and pushes himself to be more honest and open and it’s so relieving to finally be able to fully share himself w someone !!! the only thing that takes years off his life is that yoongi is like 90% of y/n’s impulse control (i think u could tell that in a few texts) lmao

custard bread couple things:

side characters - custard bread lady. y/n’s best friend sooyoung who has a very straightforward and ~jeongguk like personality.

reoccurring themes: custard bread, stop saving his fansite pics, love is demonic possession lmfao, RILAKKUMA VS KUMAMON, this face ;(

how they met custard bread lady:

it was predating. yoongi was walking y/n to work one morning (which….. he’d rather be sleeping but he wouldn’t be able to see her for a week after that so he decided to milk all the time he had) n they decided to stop @ custard bread lady’s shop bc it was open and on the route 2 y/n’s job so it seemed pretty convenient (they had never been there before) n the plan was to get yoongi’s black coffee & y/n’s hot chocolate n get out of there within 5mins which seems like a reasonable plan but little did they know a middle aged man from h e l l would be the customer ahead of them. & every time yoongi tells this story he swears this man must’ve had zero concept of the coffee making process bc he was like ridiculously offended that he’d have to wait a few minutes for his coffee n completely yelling @ custard bread lady for no reason which was……….delaying the production of his coffee even further. n y/n wanted to step in so bad yoongi could see it all over her face she wanted 2 straight falcon punch this middle aged dude all the way to whatever sad desk job he has for disrespecting the god they would come 2 know as custard bread lady. but he knows her. she’s too high maintence for prison. so yoongi rolls his eyes and very loudly says “just go buy a bottled coffee from f*cking starbucks if ur really in that much of a hurry” and the man turns around like what did u say u punk. who do u think you’re talking to. and yoongi has decided to just completely pretend like he didn’t say anything bc if u dont give demons like this attention they’ll eventually go away so he takes the opportunity 2 step up to the counter n is like “can we have a black coffee n hot chocolate pls we’re prepared 2 wait as long as u need” n custard bread lady is so confused bc the man is like still yelling @ yoongi (who is holding tightly onto y/n so she doesnt turn around like “HE SAIIIIIIIID JUST GO BUY A BOTTLED COFFEE FROM F*C—”) so custard bread lady prepares their order n the guy is yelling @ yoongi who is now scrolling through twitter on his phone & taking mental note of all the new curse words he’s learned from this man and eventually that dude leaves (not without threatening to find yoongi later) and custard bread lady is relieved that he’s gone & is thanking them like they’re some kind of heroes & they’re like we literally didnt do anything @ all. but she’s appreciative anyway n throws in free bread w/ their order and unknowingly changed their lives n taste buds 4ever 🍞

how they met:

they met @ uni !!! seokjin is hardly ever on campus (he’s a v busy man) so he was super super lost n confused trying to find a restroom one day. and while he was wandering through the halls he saw y/n carrying a 50 ft stack (an exaggeration) of coloring books (there’s a reason ehehheh) and even tho his bladder was abt 2 explode he ran over to help her bc it really looked like she’d fall over if a spec of dust landed on top of them. but being suddenly approached by a tall n broad (n handsome) guy startled y/n so s he fell over anyway. and seokjin laughed his rly rly loud goofy laugh as he picked up the coloring books surrounding her and made a rly cheesy "wow i didn’t think you’d fall for me this quickly" joke & @ first y/n was completely appalled but then she realized he wasn’t laughing at her he was laughing at his own joke lmao !!!! not everyone is as confident n open as seokjin he has no problem talking 2 ppl but it was kind of not the case for y/n she didn’t rly know what to say or do so he did abt 90% of the talking as he carried the coloring books (he didn’t ask abt them) to wherever they needed to go n y/n did abt 100% of the laughing bc seokjin held back a little not wanting 2 overwhelm her and because he rly liked hearing her laugh for some reason. so they get 2 where y/n needs to go n seokjin puts everything down n jokingly asks if there’s a 50ft stack of colored pencils that he also needs to bring in n she laughs again so he’s satisfied n decides to quit while he’s ahead. before he leaves he asks 4 her number and also directions to the nearest restroom !!!!!!!

they met @ the hospital when hoseok was a handful of months old and y/n was a handful of hours! n there’s not much to say abt that initial encounter but their moms are best friends n they grew up together u know. hoseok would cry whenever he fell n scraped his knee & y/n would tell him she loved him n did her best to distract his thoughts as she placed a band aid over the wound. when her parents didn’t get her the doll castle she wanted for her bday hoseok ran home n gathered up all his legos to build one for her. n so they lived w that kind of dynamic (being each other’s knight in shining armor) for a long time n they loved it u know and they could admit that to themselves and to others but as they grew older they would never admit that they ~more than platonic~ loved each other bc “best friends don’t do that”. so hoseok would sit on the edge of y/n’s desk w his arms crossed n his tongue digging into the side of his cheek as another one of their classmates attempted a horribly thought out confession and instead of direct rejection y/n would ramble on abt what a perfect guy shinee’s taemin was. hoseok still instinctively scoffs whenever he hears replay. it wasn’t easy 4 y/n either bc her bff hoseokie whom she had to quickly change the channel for when horror movie ads came on was suddenly this handsome godly dancer n she had to wash her hands for an uncomfortable amount of time as she eavesdropped on the other girls in the restroom gushing over how hot her best friend was and struggled to deal w the fact that she thought the same.

backstory: hoseok’s y/n

we know a little bit abt y/n’s backstory bc hoseok & y/n mention their childhood a lot. like we know that he’s her best friend and that their moms are best friends and we know that she hasn’t loved anyone besides hoseok (except for shinee’s taemin) she’s basically hoseok sunshine but…………w/ a twist. hoseok is a capri sun & she’s lemonade. she’s rly rly sweet but wow if u even look @ hoseok the wrong way ur dead SO DEAD. but hoseok usually talks her out of being confrontational so u’ll probably just get hit w/ the double stink eye from them. to me she’s got an office job !!!! like she’s the mischievous graduate assistant n probably maknae of the office so she’s well loved but has to do things like run to the store n buy pringles for her coworkers when they’re working overtime and the stereotypic coffee run thing~ she brings a lot of joy to the older employees the way hoseok brings a lot of joy to his members & team so they never work her too hard. i think it’s a v comfortable job for y/n & it’s nice to have kind of a ~controlled environment. the beginning of their relationship was a mix of easy & awkward bc even tho it’s what they both wanted for a long time it was still like…….suddenly ur making out w/ ur best friend what the heck is going on. but after that it was so natural !!!! they know each other’s personalities so well that they’re never confused abt what the other needs !!!! tbh everyone was waiting for this to happen. like their moms have been dreaming abt a wedding for years and yoongi + guk had a bet going on and guk lost bc yoongi did some instigating hehehehh. y/n is so friendly & charming & they’ve known her for as long as they’ve known hoseok so they all like her for him bc she’s absolutely his #1 fan. y/n i think worries the least abt his schedule and not seeing him for a bit bc she’s already experienced it as his best friend and if anything it’s easier now bc she knows he’s ~hers. and if she is missing him he’s rly good @ making himself available to her so things get sorted out pretty quickly ! she rly rly rly cares abt him and wants to protect him bc he’s the best person she knows and so like that’s why she gets so worked up even if someone says they don’t like bngtn lmao & she rly cares abt his feelings like they mentioned that she was a fan of taemin when they were in school but ever since she found out it slightly bothered hoseok (f2l texts) she never mentions it (the way guk’s y/n does. not that she doesn’t care abt guk’s feelings. they’re just 2 v diff boys) !!!!!! she’s always giving him compliments and trying to make him feel good she doesn’t want him to feel insecure. hoseok rly loves her bc he truly feels like he has a person in this world who understands him 100% and he never feels like his personality is too much or too little when he’s with her. everything feels perfect & familiar & it’s like his heart’s home is w/ her and not w him.
