what habits are stealing my time or are harmful to me?

#1 bad habit I have currently, eating for boredom. Once I get a craving nothing I do to try to distract myself works. It’s gotten really bad recently, idk if it’s because of my current mental state or because I haven’t been taking my birth control diligently.

Soda/Red Bulls. I crave the carbonation, and the caffeine. The carbonation is an addiction I can let go of easily but the caffeine is out of the question. I feel like I can’t live with out it… the longest I’ve lasted is a month. I can’t seem to come up with the energy naturally and I always fold.

Sleeping. God, sometimes I think I was born to sleep. It’s so hard to detach myself from my dreams, good or bad. I’ll sleep days away just because of a dream.

Spending. Hi I’m pontea and im a shopaholic. I know it, I acknowledge it, and I simply don’t want to change (even though I absolutely need to). Money rules society, you can’t get anything, or do anything without a currency. Everything i want cost money. I’m alive, I might as well give myself everything I want. That’s what I think to myself but sad reality is it’s a bad habit and I got to stop it if I’m going to reach my goals.

Breath.

You cant.

You place your hand over your chest, letting out short breaths. You try and make the noises of your shaken exhales quieter, but it is hard to do when you feel as if your lungs were crushing into themselves. . .

Eyes looked over to you, ones you loved to gaze into, ones you loved to watch as they watched your own. But right now, you wish you were invisible to their gaze. Ling Yao, prince of his own country, and future ruler watched you with a worried view, "What's the matter?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows some and tilting his head into a worried expression.

You shook your own, gulping hard on formed saliva that could barely even move down their throat from the pure panic that filled your head. "Y..yeah! I'm.. I'm okay..! Just... uh wait f..for me out here, I'll be right.. back!" You say in spaced-out breaths, gasps even, as you turn from the staring one.

You were staying at Winry's home, though no one besides you, Ling and Grandma Rockbell were in the home. Ed, Winry, and Alphonse had just left, and you were waiting till the evening to head to the place the two of you were staying. And so, you ran up the stairs, tripping on your own feet and almost falling down the stairs. You let out sharp and painful breaths, soon getting up to the top floor. You burst into the nearest room, throwing your shirt off of your body and soon following was you ripping off the bandages that covered your cloth binder, making your chest seeming to be a bit more defined.

Relief washed over your body as you took in deep, heavy gasps of air, actually being able to breath again. What happened? What went wrong? You would ask yourself such a question as you placed a hand over your heart which pounded in your chest.

You were double binding that day, as when you woke up, dread moved through your mind as you stared at yourself. You couldn't help but do so when you wanted to tear through your flesh to remove the lumps that removed the feeling of masculinity from your mind. So you wrapped bandages around your binder, tight and close to your body to push down your chest more than usual, but it often came at a cost. Your breathing.

As you sat there, ending up sinking down to sitting on the back of your legs, staring down at the torn and scattered cloth in front of you. You were so focused on the feeling of breath once again that you didn't hear the footsteps moving towards where you were positioned.

Soon, you heard your name. ... A voice of a clear, worried, yet calm voice filled your ears like violins yet at the same time nails on a chalk board. You didn't want him to see you like this, you didn't want his gaze to stare at you, not a single look. Your breath seemed to increase in speed, quickening in pace when you inhaled and exhaled each time.

Panic.

You would turn to your lover, tears in your eyes and the look on the others features furrowing just a bit more. In a moment, he was next to you, a hand on your back and the other on his cheek. "Woah woah, it's okay, you don't need to cry its alright." They spoke, wiping the tears from your eyes.

"I'm sorry I didn't want you to see, I know it's bad I just can't look at myself otherwise.." You stuttered and stumbled over your words, trying to explain to your partner why you were acting the way you were,

"No no, you shouldn't apologize to me, but with your reaction, you know it's bad... You really shouldn't double bind." They spoke, caressing your check gently.

"I know I ... I know I just... I don't feel like... me. I just wish I could look how I want to." You spoke, letting out shaky exhales. A hand moved through your hair, and you looked up to them, gloss moving over your eyes.

"Yeah I know honey, I know..." They said as they pulled you into a close hug. "But you need to be safe... I can't have you hurting yourself..."

You would nod gently into their chest, "I'll be careful... I wont do it again..." You said,

"I'll take your word on it." They have you back up a little bit as they pinch your cheeks, giving you a large grin. "I love you (Y/n)."

You smile gently, "I love you too Ling..!"

hey pontea! I have a question, so I really like drawing and recently got a drawing tablet and I was thinking what kind of career I could get out of drawing? I love drawing a lot but I'm not sure if making a career out of it is the right choice for me. What are my options?? Any advice??

Hi! I personally am studying graphic design at the moment, but I still have no idea where I’ll end up career wise. There’s a lot of uncertainty so if you’re willing to commit to that then do it. There’s not a straight path into that career and you have to be resourceful and find your own way.  Not a lot of jobs have only drawing though and include a lot more to them so you have to be open minded and sometimes accept the second closest thing to what you want. I’ve looked into some artistic jobs myself so a few I can list from the top of my head are like interior design, graphic design, animation, illustration, architect, comic artist, concept artist, art director, art teacher etc.. there’s a lot of options,, you just have to search for them.
