when it comes to superwholock. im in love with dw enough to admit that it has flaws but is still a fundamentally really good show that means a lot to me. and im removed enough from spn to admit that it sucks but it has its moments and more importantly it has its characters. bbc sherlock fucking sucked tho i was so into it and for what. it was a shitty shitty show. im not like ew omg cringe i used to enjoy things yikes! im just saying that time and distance gives you perspective and my perspective is that liking dw is correct and liking spn is allowed and liking bbc sherlock should be in the dsm

im so crazy over the tragedy of everything q!bbh does being under a demon pretense even though he's a fallen angel.
do u think he just accepts the demon label because it's easier. do u think he believes it too, and catches himself in his thoughts with "oh, right. im not exactly that". and maybe he believes that he did this to himself? do u think what he did was to protect himself or someone? no matter the fall, he still has so much kindness to give and his brain just isn't wired the way a natural-born demon would be, he can't hold back instincts when time demands it, maybe that's why he fell in the first place.
and when he's finally bad, not good, it's treated like the end of the world, without empathy on why he would act out. do you think this keeps happening? the same scenario, multiple times, every timeline? he has to be used to it. so he has to take it in stride. he's good until he lashes out under extreme pressure, and suddenly he's called demon. and once again he's what heaven made him out to be. what he made himself to be, his brain would ruthlessly provide...
i don't think he wants to be that, though he hides secrets behind secrets of which neither identity is a home... but i don't think he wants to have to change, either. and i don't think that's wrong of him.
...you collapse atlantis ONE TIME and all of a sudden YOU'RE the bad guy and SURE it was FUN but REALLY now,--

the idea of ua teacher bakugou honestly makes me so sad, because you have to consider the possibility of him not making it to the end as a hero which !! is heart-breaking !!
but at the same time — there is something really cathartic i think about him growing up and growing out of measuring his worth by being number one, by being the best. and i like to think of him as a grumpy professor !! a bit like aizawa !! or him keeping a close eye on the shy, quiet students, watching out for them and always there to bully them (affectionate) along their path . or for him to be an all might to someone, a young kid that looked up to dynamight in his hay-day, now getting to follow directly under his lead.

God q!BBH is fascinating. His paranoia especially. q!Bad has called himself paranoid in character btw. multiple times. but the one example that immediately comes to mind is when he was talking to q!Aypierre. When people call him paranoid he doesn’t really say “Nuh uh” (at least not seriously - he’s become a little more self-aware) he says “okay maybe I am, maybe I’m not. but don’t you understand why?”
for q!BBH the price of potentially overreacting and hurting his friends’ feelings with his lack of trust is significantly outweighed by the price of an egg fucking dying because he decided to relax. He has been the deciding factor in a life-or-death situation for an egg multiple times. And his overreactions have saved lives. Obviously his developing belief that he’s like the Lone Responsible Caretaker of the Eggs is like blatantly incorrect but it didn’t come into existence in a void. It isn’t just one of his inventions it’s a consequence of other parents putting (whether purposely or accidentally) a lot of pressure on him that he tried and failed to escape from.
So he doesn’t care if he’s paranoid, he doesn’t care if his distrust hurts people, he doesn’t care about what’s reasonable or not - he cares about the eggs being alive. And if being unreasonable has kept the eggs alive in the past then damn you better believe he’s only going to get more unreasonable. And he’s not going to be sorry about it either, not while he feels responsible for every single child on the island.

is now a good time to let the qsmp fandom know about the idea that childcare, even by mothers, is unpaid labor? that the labor of caring for children to the extent that a lot of mothers do is hard hard labor and is not this 'lesser' form that people like to think of it as.
like if we're going to talk about community raising children, 'the village' we need to talk about due thanks and reward and support. the carers of children are very important figures. it shouldnt just be assumed that they do that labor just for the hell of it, just because they have to. its talented and hard labor.
ill bite the bullet, this is about badboyhalo and every other player that babysits. i get that you want your favorite character to be seen as perfect parents, and always the one to take care of their child but the truth is, sometimes they need help. thats ok! that really is ok.
but it should not just be assumed that bad does it for no thanks, and does not get support for this endeavor. and what he really does not deserve is people saying he takes care of eggs 'just because theyre eggs' or 'just to get at their parents'
are you stupid? he cares about them yes because they are children, and then he gets to know them and loves them. but childcare, is still, labor.
qbad asking for help or thanks for performing the labor of childcare is not a sign of manipulation or lack of care or whatever the fuck. it is a valid want.
respect childcare workers, respect mothers, holy shit

im tempted to write a drabble of the aftermath of the marquis fic where reader is being resistant to him and just goes something like this
“i’m only here because you fucked me that night.” you grit through your teeth.
he frowns at your words, although expected due to the circumstances he had brought out upon you he might’ve expected that the few months might soften you to submission. he supposes he shouldve expected more resilience from you even with the comfort of his home.
right now you stood in front of him, enraged and determined to get out of his grip. not like he’d ever let that happen. No. he’d kept everything to himself far too long,
“i didn’t fuck you that night, mon coeur.” he unpleasantly corrects you. your words piercing through his skin into his heart.
you scoff at him and attempt to retort another statement of rage at him.
“doesn’t matter, i don’t want to be here! i want to go ho-“ you screech at hime before he cuts you off.
“you sure do have a lot to say now, don’t you my love? you didn’t seem to share the same sentiments when i made love to you in your bed.” he retorts proudly with a bit of pride oozing through his voice.
you stammer a reply but fail to form a coherent sentence as he walks towards you.
“you seemed to enjoy it a lot when we made love that night, in fact you still do whenever we’re in bed. this may seem unfathomable to you but in your words, i would say you love it when i’m fucking you.” he smirks while he whispers the last part.
————-
vsjsjdjd but deep down the marquis is like “BABE!!!!! DONT SAY THAT!!!!! DONT BELITTLE OUR LIL LOVEMAKING SESSION AT YOUR PLACE??? WE LITERALLY HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES” 👉👈

beserk's golden age is so perfect as a tragedy. i don't think i ever found any other piece of art quite so affecting in this way, truly.
it's the way how we can see how genuine the emotions are. it could have all been so different. they were so close. we can see how they almost had it, but we can also see why they never actually could. their flaws, what made them so real and beautiful and human, would never let them truly have what they wanted and they would never escape that. never. if they had, they would've been someone else.
it's the cruelty and beauty intertwined all the way through the story. the victories feel so huge, the friendships so honest, the connections they share so vulnerable and sweet they almost hurt to look at, and yet they were always, always paired with a terrible and dangerous sense of dread. foreboding. waiting for the other shoe to drop. we always knew there would be a catch. we could see it in them, even in their best moments, looming over them - or boiling just under the surface, on griffith's case.
maybe they were just puppets of a destiny made for them, or maybe they ended up like this because they were just themselves, humans with conflicting needs and wants trying to follow their hearts. it doesn't matter.
love, hatred, pain, pleasure, life, death. this is what it means to be human. the eclipse is so terrible, so unthinkable, so deeply avoidable, and yet it feels unavoidable. they could've been so much more, should have been, but the search for purpose and fulfillment is what led them here. it didn't have to be this way, we didn't want it to be this way at all, but the worst part is that feels like it must.
it's painful to look at because we know how different it should be; we saw, in glimpses throughout the story. these moments hang over our heads when the worst comes to pass and we feel the betrayal so intensely we almost forget how we saw it coming from a mile away.
and there is a fascination in watching something true and lovely crumble like that, in the most terrible and huge way possible. cruelty and beauty intertwined, impossible to separate. they were always together, even when we didn't realize, drawing us in, filling us with dread, hope, and morbid fascination for the inevitable fall of these characters we've grown to love despite ourselves. wondering, deep down, how beautifully they would fall. maybe slan was right, in a way.
