a/n: hellooo! here i am once again with a series bc i cannot control myself apparently lol. it is obviously inspired by taylor swift's back to december (thank u to my tiktok fyp for not letting me escape the taylor x taylor edits) so go listen to that song if you wanna get a better look on what the story's gonna be about.

this series is gonna be a little different structure wise ig. i've taken certain verses of the song and rearranged them so they could tell the story before and after their break up the way i want it. you can get the hang of it by taking a look at the masterlist. i reckon there will be around 12 or 13 parts, but i didn't wanna list them all down to kinda keep the suspense going (as much as you can keep suspense going in a cliché ass plot lol).

opinion on one piece and opla as a new fan ???

I finally finished watching the episodes corresponding to season 1 of the opla, and i have a Lot of thoughts !!

first of all, i didn't know anything about one piece before watching the live action. hell, i didn't even know it was about pirates or that they were looking for the one piece ! i only watched it because of the zoro edits on my tiktok fyp but i loved it. watched it three times and then i decided it was a bit insane to watch it for the fourth time in two weeks, so i started the anime. and i loved it too. i do prefer the live action to the anime, but that's purely because i watched it first so it holds a special place in my heart (and the cast is really hot)

so, thoughts :

first, the characters (im a big character person, character > plot sometimes). i prefer la sanji over anime sanji for obvious reasons (i saw someone say anime sanji has never felt the touch of a woman and la sanji gets tons of bitches and YES), i prefer la nami bc she acts more like a big sister for the crew and im a sucker for big sister characters. i don't have a preference for luffy and zoro, i love both versions equally for different reasons.

for usopp, it's more complicated. (i do love him don't misunderstand me) when it comes to how he behaves, i prefer la usopp. he would Never let his friend deal with an enemy just bc he was too much of a coward to fight them (god i Hated him when he almost gave up on the fight with big lips). but i am so mad that they didn't keep his whole "this village hates me but i still love them so im gonna fight for them" and gave us an irrelevant flashback of his mom dying (even before watching the anime i thought that this part lacks). and it would have made much more sense with his "i'm gonna become a brave warrior of the sea" ???

one change i'm really Really happy about in the live action is the importance of koby and helmeppo to the story. i Love these two, their dynamic is everything

i'm not too mad about the other changes they made in the live action. i can understand why they made almost all of them (except for usopp). i'm a bit disappointed about arlong park, i wish they had kept the suspicions zoro had about nami's loyalty to arlong and that they had kept nami fake killing usopp. but i like that the village and nojiko had no idea about nami's plan. it makes her story even sadder, because she technically lost the two people she cared about the most, belle mère of course and nojiko because she hates her.

In the live action, my favorite episodes were the baratie episodes. they really hit strong in the found family feelings. i like that it was more focused on the crew and their relationships : i love that part when the boys tease nami about sanji, of course zoro's vow to luffy is the best addition they could have made, and when nami comes back for zoro's duel. that's when i realized that they were all really serious about each other.

In the anime, it's definitely syrup village. usopp's "backstory" is my favorite in the anime, and i liked him most in those episodes.

Anyways, i can't believe i got myself neck deep into a 1077 episodes long anime because of some edits on tiktok.... but i don't regret it one bit !! and now that i'm done with these episodes, WHERE IS MY SON

i’m the BIGGEST levi girly. i can’t even describe my love for his character. the reason i started aot was bc i saw levi edit, and it was it for me. i’m the type of person who absolutely loves analyzing character’s backstories, and let me tell you, when i saw levi and everything traumatizing that happened to him, i fell in LOVE. i screamed when i found out his title is the “humanity strongest soldier” because it’s always the strongest ones who carry the most burden and pain, and i didn’t even had to watch the OVA’s to realize how amazing his character is. backstory >>> looks for me at any chance, so when i saw levi (who has both, actually), i knew that mf was gonna be my favorite. and i always seen those videos on tiktok “who i thought i’ll fall for vs who i ended up falling for” knowing damn well i already chose the right one bc i felt it in my bones when i saw that one levi edit that started it all for me. and if anybody asked me “from all the animes you have watched, who is your favorite character?” i think the answer is so obviously levi because no matter how hard i try to like other characters, they can’t just beat my no. 1 favorite ackerman traumatized princess who fought until the very end and got to see the world without titans like he deserved.

I get your point and I also think tropes have done an outrageous amount of damage and have saturated the market in such a weird way. And I also understand the frustration about there being so many great stories that people aren't reading because it's not what they like. (I personally don't really read romance but this applies to books in general.) I think the way I deal with it is just understanding that people have preferences and that those likes and dislikes are valid. I'm sure there are stories that are great that I'm never going to read because of one thing or another. People are allowed to be picky when it comes to what they read. Additionally, I think working at the library and seeing what circulates at my branch vs what me and the other staff read has also helped further that acceptance. Am I ever gonna be happy that people read James Patterson, Stephen King (I just read The Shining actually), or Colleen Hoover over XYZ author? Who knows? Am I going to be glad that they're reading? 100x yes

Oh totally, agreed on every front! I’m mostly frustrated with the attitude toward books that I’m seeing on social media lately (specifically tiktok) which seems very dismissive of anything that doesn’t fit into a very narrow conception of what you might think you “like”—it’s not so much the concept that people have preferences, but the way those preferences are being used to influence others’ reading and consumption habits if that makes sense.

Basically if you’ve discovered that you’re only into xyz niche genre, good for you, but I’m bummed to see the over-saturation of the lit market with tropes that might discourage people from branching out. Like, I saw a Tweet yesterday where someone was asking if The Poppy War had any romance and it confused me; I guess I’m mostly frustrated by the idea of someone who’s otherwise interested in that book potentially not reading it because it doesn’t contain whatever trope/subplot they’re thinking of.

Edited bc I realized: I’m also reading a book rn featuring a shitty love triangle that undermines the (very important) point of the story so maybe it’s personal for me lmaoooo

matt rife is a very interesting person lol

i never really saw him blow up on tiktok (or at least on my fyp) but i had heard about him and some of the thirst edits that had been shared about him. and i knew overall that a lot of ppl, women mostly, found him hot.

what i find the most fascinating about him is how much of a case study he really is for confidence and how important that can be to the success or downfall of a person.

(this became so long i'm sorry lol)

so idk if it's true that he got surgery done to make his face look more manly. i know he admitted to the veneers, i believe, but they wouldn't have changed up his face that much. so... i'm gonna believe the possible filler allegations lol

i think one of the reasons why things kinda fell off for him is bc he wasn't confident in himself whatsoever, and then like most men who feel like shit, he took it out on women.

bc let me tell you a little something about myself: i have been plus size my entire life. came out the womb with thunder thighs. not even joking about that. for years, and i mean years, i legit thought if i could just be skinny, i'll be happy. if i could just look like what ppl want me to look like, i'll feel better about myself. and it took til i was about 25ish to finally realize being skinny was NEVER gonna make me magically like myself. i had lost weight before, 40 pounds one time, 60 pounds another. but it never made me like myself. sure, i guess i felt better in the moment. but the quiet would set back in, and i would go back to shitting on myself.

losing weight and getting down to the "correct" size was never going to happen. i was never gonna be satisfied. bc at the end of the day, i still hated myself. i still deeply thought i was ugly. i could lose 100s of pounds and still think i wasn't good enough. not to mention, i wanted to be known for more than just my weight. i was a whole person, regardless of my size.

and i think matt kinda had a similar thing happen.

i think he always had an issue with himself, his face particularly. and while, yeah - plenty of ppl thought he was kinda funny - he wasn't conventionally attractive (in his own eyes and to others). so he felt like no one cared about him. so he figured, if i could just get hot, ppl will care about me and my comedy.

but the exact opposite happened. he changed up his face, got it to match the portrait in his mind of what he "deserved" to look like, but he never worked on himself internally. he never fixed the broken parts of himself. so when suddenly, all of these women are giving him attention - it almost proved the little voice in the back of his head "see, all they did care about was my looks. i got held back in life bc i was ugly". even tho reality is, that's not what happened. he felt like shit about himself, ppl don't naturally gravitate towards unconfident ppl. if you don't like yourself, a lot of ppl will take advantage of that. that's just life.

and not only was that little voice proven "right", all anyone could talk about anymore was his looks (tho he also played a huge role in that). when all he wanted was to be known for was his comedy. but he thought the reason he wasn't succeeding was bc of his looks.

when in actuality, he just... wasn't funny. or really, wasn't as funny as he thought he was.

this all being said, if he actually worked on himself internally, he wouldn't have gotten himself into this mess. do i think he's funny? eh, i guess. but like any man, him make "women kitchen = funny" jokes really puts a damper on the a, being funny aspect he takes pride in and b, being attractive. i feel like a lot of men don't realize how quickly they self sabotage their own happiness by HATING ON THE GENDER THEY ARE ATTRACTED TO.

and sam following him... honestly, i wouldn't be surprised if he only follows him bc matt is friends with elton and they're all on somewhat decent terms again.

quick note to matt: hating on astrology is really dumb, coming from the dude that has gone ghost hunting and believes. babe, you might think i'm weird bc i believe in planets and their alignment meaning something, but you're scared of something that isn't even tangible.... at least i know the planets actually fucking exist.

my carat journey ♡︎

sypnosis: (im sure the title makes this self-explanatory but) in which i tell you all about my first impressions and journeys as a carat. (i like summed it all up so its super short)

a/n: i havent been a carat for tooooo long but nonetheless it makes me feel pretty happy to see ive come as a carat as well as how the group themselves have grown over the years c:

how did it start.. oh right. when i first came around seventeen or seen something about them it was actually back in may of 2021 from a clip i saw on youtube i saw of them on knowing brothers. this clip was when the mcs of the show were trying to guess all of the members’ names and it was the8’s turn.

i remember watching minghao doing that flip or wtv (sorry i dont remember what its called lol) n after he was all cool and stuff. and lowk i was like ‘oooooo.. hes kinda cute’ hehe. and honestly that was kinda it.

you see, it was in 2018 i was actually a k-pop stan yk during the prime era of kpop. obviously over the next 2-4 years i had lost focus. but, when i came back, that video was one of the many i had watched on youtube about kpop. and when i came back, i became a skz fan. i remember felix was my ult bias and that was that.

but that was until i came across an episode of going seventeen. pretty infamous right? god, i remember watching that episode when they were planting rice (ver-paddy) and i was hooked. i had never laughed so much, it was like my spark had come back. i say that because when i re-entered the kpop fandom, i wasn’t at the highest point of my life. so laughing that much over one video on youtube made me so happy. that was when i knew that i needed to find out who this group was and where i can watch more episodes.

that was when i realized that the group i was watching was seventeen: the group with that one cute guy with gray hair and glasses (the8)! also when i realized that vernon was in seventeen (i knew and recognized vernon bc if his cover with jeongyeon, do i need to keep explaining? i didn’t think so).

although, when i started looking into the members, one caught my eye and it was safe to say it was not the8. it was LA boy hong joshua. idk what it was really but i thought he looked so idk— beautiful. so thats what it was for me. i started stanning the group and having joshua as my new ult bias in june 2022. sadly, over time, my interest in skz started to decline. it wasn’t that skz wasn’t great, they are, y’know how it is right?

that was how my journey started. i started listening to their music, getting into going seventeen, binge-watching like all the seventeen related videos i could find on youtube, and most importantly: going through hell trying to learn all of the members.

oh. my. god. hey, you know, it took some time, but i got there! (i always messed up woozi and hoshi) um.. anyways. as time went on, obviously i was able to experience the feeling of waiting to watch their new comebacks and such. and honestly, i don’t mean to be one of those people, but seventeen genuinely brought my spark back. i had, and still, never been so interested in something until them.

around 5-6 months later, it was in novemeber 2022 when i was pretty settled into the group when my thoughts and views started to change. i was starting to focus on new members. i honestly don’t remember at all how this started but jeonghan caught my eye. and i was hooked.

idk.. hes js so.. im sure u know what i mean!!! i mean who wouldn’t? like, have you seen jeonghan? oh lordy lord. he was so beautiful yet fine yet cute yet literally all of the above. i sound like one of those crazy fans. PLEASE GUYS I PROMISE IM NOT LIKE THAY JUST HEAR ME OUT A TINY BIT. let a girl be delulu PLS. ok now im gonna continue being delulu for a sec thanks.

i do admit i still fangirl a bit over him, just a teensy bit!!!!! (i fucking watch edits on tiktok HELP ME I HAVE A SAVED COLLECTION IN MY FAVORITES ermmmm i js want to be organized!!!! …..) please guys im just a girl.

uh. yeah! but in all seriousness, i’m so happy that i was able to come across such an amazing group. time has passed so much and it’s crazy for me to understand that i’ve been already been a carat for almost 2 years. (pls help me ive watched like every gose episode and inside seventeen episode like 50 million times each, but honestly i’ll never get tired of it).

i’m so proud of seventeen after everything they’ve gone through. watching them win their first daesang made me feel so happy for them, they absolutely deserve it. from practicing together in a small, green walled room to selling out almost all of their shows and stages they perform on, seventeen has grown so much as not just a group but individually.

i just know that if seventeen’s predebut self saw their lives now their joy would just be through the roof. as one of the most looked-upon sunbaenims in their industry, i’m sure most people can agree seventeen tops their line of style when making music.

and i’m also so glad i decided to be a carat. i love the fandom, like i can be on tiktok for hours just laughing watching carats post the funniest memes and compilations as well as making the stupidest tweets. i can very much vouch carats are one of the most funniest, supportive fandoms out there.

I just realized that you and another writer for the COD fandom have almost a similar fic about the safe house? I saw your plagiarism disclaimer and why you don't write COD anymore. Was that like a common prompt or a request or like actual plagiarism?

not aware of that fic, but i have screenshots between me and an active writer in the fandom who had blatantly copied my graves fic but repackaged it and made it for ghost (she has since deleted the fic + i will not engage with her further since i saw her blog and realized she was 15 at the time of copying me & is now only 16, and im not abt to battle it out w a minor LMAO). along with that, i once made a concept post for a fic abt ghost + his toddler & the toddler being upset that ghost would not be able to make it home in time for halloween. this concept was taken from me. i also had a tiktok where i would post all my wips + drafts almost a week prior to posting my fics. due to lack of time, i don’t read cod fics or any fandom fics unless they’re from my mutuals so i don’t know when people copy my works unless my followers make me aware of it

edit: my fic was not a request or a prompt. it was a concept i wanted to write, so i did. i immediately posted ghost fics as soon as i saw him get popular on tiktok bc i am an attention seeker and knew people wanted fics of him and the demand was there but no supply 🤭

The random realizations I get at 4am is like… I can’t even. Like when people were like making edits out of carlando, I thought it was one of those tiktoks where they’re like “omg they’re so cute and funny together as friends!”

But the tiktoks of Carlando I’m seeing now are like, 100% shipping them together as a couple 😭😭 like bro- leave them be

yes sadly (to me it feels like harrasment for some reason) and its not just carlando. its also with max and Daniel, Alonso and Stroll, Carlos and Charles, at some point as well Pierre and Yuki, max and Charles, and a lot of other drivers.

I see comments like 'oh they defiantly f*cked' and other stuff smilar to that, and i cant stress this enough- like yea sure they can be gay- but some of them are taken- and they're friends! (plus dating someone on the grid is like asking to trouble bc its going to complicate a lot of things)

and if i could, i'd honestly put a stop to all this shipping, because it's going way too far. I recently saw a whole ass thread where people changed the context of Alonso and Stroll from having fun together/pranking each other to 'he fucked that old man' LIKE STOP. IT'S JUST FRIENDS HAVING FUN!
