The fandom likes to talk about how Ron was willing to let himself get hit by the Cruciatus curse in order to prevent Hermione from getting tortured. What happens afterwards, though, is that Romione shippers argue about how Harry hadn't done anything like that. After all, he was just asking Ron to shut up.
This, they claim, is evidence that Ron cares more about Hermione than Harry does. Or that Harry doesn't care about her at all.
I do think what Ron did here is very admirable, and there's absolutely nothing to critique about that. What I hate is how it turns into Harry bashing to justify shipping Romione.
First, it's important to keep in mind that Harry's comparatively more level-headed than Ron is. He's not as emotional & he rarely displays them openly (and when he does, it's in Hermione's presence, but that's something for another post).
As Harry wanted to figure out a way from the problem, he was getting disturbed by Ron screaming, which was affected his. concentration. Unlike Ron, who was reacting emotionally, Harry wanted to think about whether they would be able to escape the place. That's why he was asking him to shut up.
And that's a good thing. When you are in trouble and someone you like is getting tortured, you attempt to try and escape instead of getting carried away by your emotions.
To try and spin Harry trying to save Hermione into "he doesn't care about her" is a flat-out lie.
Honestly, if I were Harry, I'd be pretty pissed as well. Just look at it:
"HERMIONE!” Ron bellowed, and he started to writhe and struggle against the ropes tying them together, so that Harry stag- gered. “HERMIONE!” “Be quiet!” Harry said. “Shut up. Ron, we need to work out a way—“ “HERMIONE! HERMIONE!” “We need a plan, stop yelling—we need to get these ropes off—"
Harry wants to get the bindings off and work out a way. He wants to save Hermione, instead of just screaming to the void.
If even more evidence were needed:
Hermione was screaming again: The sound went through Harry like physical pain. Barely conscious of the fierce prickling of his scar, he too started to run around the cellar, feeling the walls for he hardly knew what, knowing in his heart that it was useless.
Her screaming "went through Harry like physical pain". And, also notice how he was "barely conscious of the prickling on his scar".
He's only done that once before, and that was when he was thinking about Sirius.
His love for Hermione is so powerful that he was able to block Voldemort out of his mind.

Was just scrolling through YouTube. found a poll asking “who would live the longest?” with the Golden Trio as options, so I looked in the comments and found this ^
Yes, because clearly the boy whose family had barely afforded to feed and dress him and lacked many aspects of a healthy childhood must be ridiculed for his “eating problem,” even when the topic has absolutely nothing to do with that. Ron bashers literally have to look for any way to shoehorn in their Ron hate into even the most random conversations. And I love how they mentioned “Harry works a very dangerous job while Ron eats like a pig” even though 1. Ron was an auror too 💀? 2. Wouldn’t “eating like a pig” because you understood being fed was a privilege actually help you with living longer?
Sorry to dump this in your inbox, I know you’d prefer not to see any Ron hate, but this random comment made me really moody lol
Yeah... no wonder.
Sigh. You know the worst part? Out of the Trio Ron's relationship with food is probably the healthiest. He knows the importance of a good meal and encourages his friends to eat. Hermione is often shown ditching basic self-care when she's really into her research, while Harry has been starved.
Ron's the only one of the three who knows the importance of taking care of himself... and he's mocked for it because the movies couldn't be bothered to come up with more intelligent material (as in, actually showing Ron's sense of humour rather than having him be a clown).
So, to anyone who's still browsing this blog and still cares, let it be known Ron-bashing is still alive and well, so keep correcting the misconceptions and addressing them. Maybe one day we'll finally get it through this fandom's thick skull that liking to eat isn't a sign of being an evil materialistic pig.

my first tumblr post (idk if I’m doing this right)
yo yo I’m new to tumblr but i’ve been a harry potter fanfic reader for like two decades now. <3 as a former dramione shipper turned romione shipper, i think romione fans & dramione fans have a lot in common and should band together against all the ship bashing cuz both our ships are super cute 🥰 that is all. i support all the ships.
also ronsy & dransy are both very underrated and underappreciated ships!
idk how to use tumblr properly yet so i’ll mostly be reblogging random stuff from multiple fandoms and following basically all the tumblr accounts i see, so no need to follow me back in case i spam too much. <3

A big argument that I have seen against Molly that people say proves she plays favorites is how in the first book, she buys Percy an owl for making Prefect while not bothering to get Ron a new wand. And my question is HOW MUCH DO PEOPLE THINK AN OWL COSTS?!? The price of an owl has to be very nominal next to something like a wand. It’s not like Molly choose between two comparable things, like a pet and a new book bag. In which case, if the book bag is still usable, why should she not get a new pet to reward Percy for doing something great? The bag is perfectly fine if a little worn and it’s not that big of a deal to use it if the previous owner doesn’t need it. Comparing the price of a wand and an owl is like wondering why this family didn’t get Ron a brand new $1500 MacBook when his brother’s old one still works. And then telling the parents they are horrible people for buying their other son a $20 toy instead. I mean, if they bought one son a toy, surely they can have gotten the brand new laptop instead. But instead Ron has to use an old laptop that still works while his brother is obviously the favorite for getting a toy for a job well done. I mean, Ron needs that laptop for school and it’s necessary. Percy’s toy isn’t necessary and he could have done without.
This isn’t a moment of favoritism, it’s a moment of practicality. Molly and Arthur were able to wrangle enough money for an owl because it is much cheaper than a wand.

ISFJ
I believe that Data (”Star Trek: The Next Generation”), Ron Weasley (”Harry Potter” - books) and Mando (”The Mandalorian”) are ISFJs.
Introverted Sensing
Data, as an android, has great memory and he bases his decisions on his past experiences. He applies the Starfleet protocol to the letter.
Ron has been brought up in a traditional family and he holds quite conservative views. Sometimes it makes him nasty (for example, when he says “scarlet woman” or when he’s scolding Ginny about her boyfriends), but it also makes him value family and friendship so he’s a loyal brother and friend.
Din ‘This is the Way’ Djarin is a devout follower of the Mandalorian cult. He doesn’t have any doubts about it.
Types like ISTP or INTP prefer knowing the reason for doing what is expected of them. They don’t easly follow the crowd, tradition or religion. They might but they usually need to think it through. On the other hand, SJ types tend to stick to traditional values and the way they were taught unless proven otherwise. Why fix what’s not broken?
But they are not blind machines. They may break the rules they usually follow when they feel it’s justified. Often the reason concerns other people.
Extraverted Feeling
Data, who follows the Starfleet protocol even when it’s inconvenient, breaks the Prime Directive and his beloved Captain’s orders, because a little girl was scared. He risks punishment to help his friend who’s desperately looking for his mother. He tries to understand and adress other people’s feelings.
Ron cares deeply about his friends. He sacrifices himself during the chess trial in the first year. He’s ready to risk his life to save Ginny in the Chamber of Secrets. He notices something weird is going on with Hermione in their third year. He helps to prepare Buckbeak’s appeal. He lets Harry practice spells on him to help him to prepare to the Triwizard Tournament. He notices scars on Harry’s hand after Umbridge’s detention. He learns more about courting to better express his admiration for Hermione. He jumps into cold water to save Harry during the war and his sacrifice lets him get the sword of Gryffindor. He remembers the House Elves during the Battle of Hogwarts.
Mando immediately starts caring about Grogu. He breaks one of the most important rule of his cult and takes his helmet off to please Grogu. He’s less angry with the sheriff who uses Mandalorian armour when he gets to know him better.
Introverted Thinking
Data, Ron and Mando are logical and pragmatic. When they encounter a problem, they think it through and when they do, they need good arguments to change their minds. They are quite stubborn.
At the same time, they don’t understand their own feelings very well. Data believes he doesn’t have any feelings. Ron doesn’t understand his feelings very well which leads to his frequent discontent and anger. Mando hides behind the emotionless mask.
Extraverted Intuition
They can be creative, flexible, funny and open to new ideas.
They aren’t stereotypical
A stereotypical ISFJ is a quiet girl who bakes cakes for her friends. It might be true for some women, but for a lot of ISFJs, especially men, this is simply not true.
Data lives in a futuristic society so he doesn’t adhere to traditional values. He doesn’t show his Fe in a typical way because of his autistic traits and because he’s a member of a military organisation. Sometimes he question his Ti because of his low self-esteem.
Ron is a teenager in a patriarchal society. He’s pressured to hide his Fe and he doesn’t rely on his Ti as much as he could because of his low self-esteem. He my be perceived as other types, because his characterisation in the films sometimes clashes with the books, changes his behavior and makes his traits less obvious. For example, he behaves more like a perceiving type rather than a judging type, he doesn’t notice Harry’s scars (Hermione does) and so on. (BTW, in the books Hermione is clearly an ISTJ while in the films she looks like an ISFJ.)
Mando is a member of a military cult and he lives in a dangerous world. He’s learnt to hide his Fe.

When everyone talks about how Ron Weasley left Harry in Deathly Hallows and Goblet of Fire, it always seems in a negative light. I would rather talk about how Harry feels in those instances and how he feels once he and Ron make up.
In GOF, after their fallout, Harry is miserable and lies to Hermione that he does not miss Ron. But he does miss Ron, heck he was hoping that he could patch up the issue with Ron in Snape’s detention. But it did not happen. He and Ron patch up at the end of the first task. When Harry is being awarded points at the end of the task, Karkroff gives Harry four points. Ron calls him out and says he gave Viktor Krum ten but Harry did not care, because to him Ron’s anger on his behalf was worth a hundred points.
IN DH, when Ron left, again Harry is miserable, wondering about Ron’s location, not conversing with Hermione. They keep Phineas Nigellus’ portrait out just so they could converse with someone other than each other. On top of that, he wand is broken thanks to Hermione. He is angry and upset. Once Ron comes back and the Horcrux is destroyed, Harry found it hard to keep a straight face, his spirits were buoyant.
What I am trying to say is that Ron is important to Harry, he’s like the sun in Harry’s life, his presence makes Harry feel hopeful and a sense of optimism. That is something important.

Unpopular (salty) opinion: Ron Weasley is the most nuanced, interesting and sympathetic character in the HP Golden Trio and anyone who acts like he doesn't "deserve" Harry and/or Hermione as friends (or more) is not only categorically wrong but probably did not read the books as closely as they think they did.
strongly agree | agree | neutral | disagree | strongly disagree
I couldn't agree more! Ron's defence & protection squad stick together!!!
As for the arguments on why it shouldn't be an unpopular opinion, I am redirecting everyone to this great blog: @vivithefolle who has tons of posts about Ron, wonderful analysis about him and his mistreatment both by other characters and the narrative!
Harry and Hermione are lucky to have Ron in their life, and they should appreciate him more!

Well, as many people love to claim that Ron's not at fault for abandoning the Trio in Deathly Hallows (some Ron stans instead prefer to shift the blame to Harry instead by reading things out of context), I thought I'd analyze the entire scene here.
So, to start with, I really like Ron. But I do not think that you have to excuse everything a character does in order to like him. Now, Ron fans would probably just claim that I am lying about liking Ron, but I don't care about that.
Let's get started, shall we?
“So, would he have hidden the sword well away from Hogsmeade then? What d’you reckon, Ron? Ron?” Harry looked around. For one bewildered moment he thought that Ron had left the tent, then realized that Ron was lying in the shadow of a lower bunk, looking stony. “Oh, remembered me, have you?” he said.
Okay, so it begins with Harry looking for Ron, and he notices him lying next to a bunk "looking stony". He makes a comment asking whether Harry's remembered him.
Now, how does Harry respond to that?
"What?” Ron snorted as he started up at the underside of the upper bunk. “You two carry on. Don’t let me spoil your fun.” Perplexed, Harry looked to Hermione for help, but she shook her head, apparently as nonplussed as he was. “What’s the problem?” asked Harry.
Harry's understandably confused. He says "What?" and then exchanges a look with Hermione, who's similarly perplexed. And then, Harry asks him again what the problem was. He just says "What's the problem?" and nothing else.
“Problem? There’s no problem,” said Ron, still refusing to look at Harry. “Not according to you, anyway.” There were several plunks on the canvas over their heads. It had started to rain. “Well, you’ve obviously got a problem,” said Harry. “Spit it out, will you?
Ron refuses to elaborate & just says that according to Harry, there's no problem. Harry replies by asking him to "spit out". Well, that maybe he considered rude, but how would you even respond to it? They were discussing Horcruxes & Ron's talking about how the others "remembered" him now, that Harry shouldn't let him "spoil their fun", and that Harry doesn't think there's a problem.
Considering the context, it's a valid thing to say.
Ron swung his long legs off the bed and sat up. He looked mean, unlike himself. “All right, I’ll spit it out. Don’t expect me to skip up and down the tent because there’s some other damn thing we’ve got to find. Just add it to the list of stuff you don’t know.” “I don’t know?” repeated Harry. “I don’t know?”
Ron looks unlike his usual self as he then implies that he doesn't care about what they had found out, and that it's Harry's fault. That's why Harry repeated the same thing. He was just surprised and shocked.
Plunk, plunk, plunk. The rain was falling harder and heavier; it pattered on the leaf-strewn bank all around them and into the river chattering through the dark. Dread doused Harry’s jubilation. Ron was saying exactly what he had suspected and feared him to be thinking. “It’s not like I’m not having the time of my life here,” said Ron, “you know, with my arm mangled and nothing to eat and freezing my backside off every night. I just hoped, you know, after we’d been running round a few weeks, we’d have achieved something.
Ron talks about how the Horcrux hunting wasn't similar to his expectations.
Again, Harry responded calmly:
"I thought you knew what you’d signed up for,” said Harry. “Yeah, I thought I did too.” “So what part of it isn’t living up to expectations?” asked Harry. Anger was coming to his defense now. “Did you think we’d be staying in five-star hotels? Finding a Horcrux every other day? Did you think you’d be back to Mummy by Christmas?"
For Harry using the phrase "back to Mummy", remember that Ron agreed to come to help even though Harry said that they shouldn't, and now he's upset that it's not working out & is sulking. Anyone would have gotten angry. Seriously, Ron just makes it sound as if Harry forced him to come along.
"We thought you knew what you were doing!” shouted Ron, standing up, and his words pierced Harry like scalding knives. “We thought Dumbledore had told you what to do, we thought you had a real plan!” “Ron!” said Hermione, this time clearly audible over the rain thundering on the tent roof, but again, he ignored her. “Well, sorry to let you down,” said Harry, his voice quite calm even though he felt hollow, inadequate. “I’ve been straight with you from the start, I told you everything Dumbledore told me. And in case you haven’t noticed, we’ve found on Horcrux—”
Ron's words are scathing, but remarkably, Harry is STILL calm in his response. He's composing himself as he explains to Ron that he did tell them everything that he knew.
"Yeah, and we’re about as near getting rid of it as we are to finding the rest of them—nowhere effing near in other words.” “Take off the locket, Ron,” Hermione said, her voice unusually high. “Please take it off. You wouldn’t be talking like this if you hadn’t been wearing it all day.” “Yeah, he would,” said Harry, who did not want excuses made for Ron. “D’you think I haven’t noticed the two of you whispering behind my back? D’you think I didn’t guess you were thinking this stuff?"
Well, Hermione IS being unfair by blaming it on the locket. We do know that Ron left even after he removed the locket, and like Harry said, they were whispering behind his back.
Further on:
"Harry we weren’t—” “Don’t lie!” Ron hurled at her. “You said it too, you said you were disappointed, you said you’d thought he had a bit more to go on than—” “I didn’t say it like that—Harry, I didn’t!” she cried. The rain was pounding the tent, tears were pouring down Her- mione’s face, and the excitement of a few minutes before had van- ished as if it had never been, a short-lived firework that had flared and died, leaving everything dark, wet, and cold. The sword of Gryffindor was hidden they knew not where, and they were three teenagers in a tent whose only achievement was not, yet, to be dead. “So why are you still here?” Harry asked Ron. “Search me,” said Ron.
Read the last part. Harry asks him why he's still there and Ron replies by saying that he doesn't know. THAT is when Harry asks him to leave; Ron made it clear that he does not even want to remain there any more.
Remarkably, Harry is STILL replying calmly when he asks him to go home.
"Go home then,” said Harry. “Yeah, maybe I will!” shouted Ron, and he took several steps toward Harry, who did not back away. “Didn’t you hear what they said about my sister? But you don’t give a rat’s fart, do you, it’s only the Forbidden Forest, Harry I’ve-Faced-Worse Potter doesn’t care what happens to her in there—well, I do, all right, giant spider and mental stuff—”
Ron talks about how Harry doesn't care about what happens to Ginny.
And incredibly, Harry is STILL calm.
“I was only saying—she was with the others, they were with Hagrid—” “Yeah, I get it, you don’t care! And what about the rest of my family, the Weasleys don’t need another kid injured, did you hear that?” “Yeah, I—” “Not bothered what it meant, though?”
“Not bothered what it meant, though?” “Ron!” said Hermione, forcing her way between them. “I don’t think it means anything new has happened, anything we don’t know about: think, Ron, Bill’s already scarred; plenty of people must have seen that George has lost an ear by now, and you’re supposed to be on your deathbed with spattergroit, I’m sure that’s all he meant—” “Oh, you’re sure, are you? Right then, well, I won’t bother myself about them. It’s all right for you two, isn’t it, with your parents safely out of the way—” “My parents are dead !” Harry bellowed
There you go. Ron insults Harry's parents greatly by talking about how his parents are "safely out of the way". At this point, Harry, who has been remarkably calm overall, loses his temper.
Honestly, you know what happens after that. Harry responds to him by asking him to essentially fuck off, and Ron begins to escalate it physically and attack Harry (a fight was averted by Hermione's shield charm).
And then Ron left even AFTER having removed the locket. Don't blame it on the locket, it's a weak excuse.
So, to summarize:
Ron started the argument.
Harry replies in a mostly calm manner.
Ron insults Harry's dead parents upon which the latter finally loses his temper.
Ron leaves after removing the locket.
Yeah, sorry, I am still 100% going to blame Ron here.

You seem to be really against Hermione for the bird incident, but don’t seem to care much about Harry sending Hedwig to claw at Ron and Hermione during the summer preceding fifth year, why is that?(/gen) You also seem to ship Ronarry. Is it just because she’s the canon love interest that you’re so upset? I know Harry regretted telling Hedwig to do what she did afterwards, but I don’t remember him ever apologizing to Ron and Hermione. How can we know that Hermione didn’t apologize to Ron after he came back in Deathly Hallows but before the battle of hogwarts?(I agree with your opinions on Hermione in general, I’m just curious.)
If you don't know, I've made some jokes about how Harmony shippers are right about Harry and Hermione having something in common, which is that they both sent birds to attack Ron.
Harry doesn't interest me nearly as much as Hermione because to be frank he's pretty much just... the most boring character in the series to me. I like him for his Ron-loving potential which is pretty off the charts when Rowling isn't actively using Ron as a stepping stone for Harry and Hermione to look better.
I'm actually a pretty big Romione shipper even if I myself get confused about what I'm mad about sometimes. Honestly, it's just that I've kinda had it with people constantly writing Ron fucking up and having to make it up to Hermione, I want her to be fucking up and making it up to him and it not being considered a Crime Against Women Everywhere because yeah, women fuck up and hurt men too, men also get abused or shat on by women, it happens. Hermione as she is has a pretty toxic mentality, what with her often using violence completely casually (her first "big heroic moment" in the series is to set a man on fire) coupled with that shitty tendency of Rowling to use "Hermione on the verge of tears" as a kind of sedative to make the average reader go "who cares what Hermione did before, she's crying NOW and that's UNFORGIVABLE, PROTECT HER".
But, Harry himself also has a system like that, by virtue of being Our Poor Orphan Protagonist. Honestly, I hate to say it but Potterheads read another book because yes, Harry is nothing new, when an author wants you to root for their protagonist they give them a backstory that makes you want good things for them, yes Harry's suffering is just all destined to make you attached to him and meant to make you think everything that ever happens to HIM personally is automatically The Most Horrible Thing Ever To Happen To Anyone Ever and I'm kinda done with that as a whole because of fandom experience. I can only tell people to pay attention to what Ron goes through only to be rebuked by a "but look how hard Harry had it, in comparison Ron is a baby" so many times before I get completely soured and decide that the character they feel so sad for doesn't need any more people to feel sorry for.
... I don't know if I'm being clear. But yeah I function mostly through pure spite nowadays.
I know Harry regretted telling Hedwig to do what she did afterwards, but I don’t remember him ever apologizing to Ron and Hermione.
He did say a token sorry to Ron specifically:
He showed Harry the index finger of his right hand, which sported a half-healed but clearly deep cut. ‘Oh, yeah,’ Harry said. ‘Sorry about that, but I wanted answers, you know –’
(I say "token" because yeah it's not really an apology given how it's immediately followed by a justification.)
Hermione however?
‘He seemed to think it was best,’ said Hermione rather breathlessly. ‘Dumbledore, I mean.’ ‘Right,’ said Harry. He noticed that her hands, too, bore the marks of Hedwig’s beak and found that he was not at all sorry.
WOOP WOOP FEEL THE HARMONY YET
How can we know that Hermione didn’t apologize to Ron after he came back in Deathly Hallows but before the battle of hogwarts?
Honestly she can have apologized anytime, I'd just like it to be shown to me, and I'd like it to mean something.
While for example @divagonzo believes that after Malfoy Manor Hermione realizes her own mortality and blunts her sharper edges, I still remember the scene where Ron isn't sure they can trust Griphook and Hermione immediately insult him for being racist. Yeah, if that's blunting her sharp edges then I sure hope she's got other ways to do it otherwise she's gonna need a lot more Malfoy Manors.
As it stands, Harry and Hermione are really underdeveloped and bare-bones. If Harry has a character arc then I've missed it entirely because while he does realize that Snape has reasons and shit he's still kinda hating on him all through OOTP, HBP and DH until the Epilogue pulls the rug from beneath our feet. Hermione has moments indicating there's some things happening - her arc with Luna in OOTP is neat, in DH she finally learned to thank Ron for complimenting her - but aside from that she never is confronted to actual failure, to actual dilemnas, to actual problems without a true "I'm right you're wrong" solution - we only see her "being right" without anything exploring what she COULD be beyond "being right".
Which leaves Ron to shoulder the burden of having to do character development for two static characters that amount to "male role model" and "female role model". Ron IS confronted with failure, with actual dilemnas to which there's no easy answer or solution, Ron IS confronted with his personal character flaws... in pretty much every book, he's kept in a loop of "complete character arc" -> "oh no JKR needs drama to happen and she can't have Role Model 1 & 2 do it because they're supposed to be Above Mere Mortals" -> "backtrack on Ron's character arc so he can cause the drama so she doesn't have to strain her brain too hard", which is pretty obviously a disservice to Ron's character. And sadly, the fandom picks up on it but takes the wrong message from it: instead of realizing "wait, Rowling is violating the rules of good storytelling by constantly backtracking on her one good and complex character's development all so she doesn't have to risk Harry and Hermione's popularity by using their character flaws to create conflict", the fandom instead goes "ugh Ron is always causing messes while Harry and Hermione always have their hearts in the right place and always want what's best and anyway if they ever did something bad it's because they were forced by the situation".
It's... upsetting.

Hello everyone !! My name is AD, 19 and my pronouns are she/her!! I am a multi muse, filipino roleplayer/writer!!
I am quite new to the rp community in tumblr so please understand that I'm inexperienced. This blog is mostly to find more reigen rp partners who can giggle and ramble with me about Ron Weasley!
Currently, i am into Harry Potter!! I’d like to preface and say I do NOT support anything JK Rowling has said (as I am bi myself) and any transphobic statements she’s made is something I will never agree with.
My current hyperfixation character as of the moment is actually Ron Weasley! He’s my favorite character by far and I can go on and on about rambling towards him :3 though he doesn’t have to be my main actually! Im looking for any Ron role players :D as long as I get to write ships or just in general, sweet stories about him.
I have a few set of rules i would also like to make as a seperate post but as of right now, i will be writing them here so please take the time to read them in case you ever want to write or just simply chat with me about anything!!
* Main muses are Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Theodore Nott and Draco Malfoy! I can also do the Weasley family and can even do Ron as well if preferred!
* usually write on discord and prefer to have a server for all the rps. I draw, write and speed out ideas a LOT btw so please be warned. I'm a rambler and I really love Ron a lot and want to interact with people who love it or just generally love Ron as much as I do!
* I am a big romance shipper but I also love writing platonic relationships between characters! Like family found dynamics and such. I am also a rare shipper kind of gal- like shipping Draco and Ron sometimes LOL
* I write mostly romance for aged up/adult characters
* I can word vomit and write long replies a lot- it's how I usually write so please don't feel pressured to write the same length as me!!
* Via discord rp; PLEASE tell me if I write something that ever makes you uncomfortable- I can edit it out and such, I don't mind as long as everyone feels safe.
* I'm really biased with Ron. I can be ooc with him a bit so please do not attack me if you have any problems with my mischaracterization of him. I am only here to have fun and write, to indulge myself with people. I don’t mind ooc
* I have school and responsibilities from my parents so if I don't answer, I'm probs asleep, working or @ college
* Lasty; Dont be shy with interacting with me! I am always happy to make mutuals and friends around here! I would love to answer any questions- either in character or just questions you would want to know about me!! So please dont be shy :D
• FOR NSFW STUFF; PLEASE STOP HERE WHEN YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE TOPIC. THANK YOU AGAIN.
• I usually just write doms/tops and I can get pretty hardcore with smut writing — please tell me if there is any kinks or stuff in smut you don't want to read! I also like dark topics but absolutely no adult/kid. That shit is not allowed in my rp blog. I'm very into some dark content and such but if that's not your cup of tea, please avoid the " DARK TOPIC // " tag.
• I only write nsfw of adult characters and ocs; cant do erp via me. I will only do them via discord as I am way too shy to write them publicly. PLEASE NOTE THOUGH that i will not just write on a whim. I will be able to make headcanons and such but i need to get to know you and feel comfortable enough to write it. I do write suggestive content here and there so my tags here will be " NSFW // " in case you ever want to avoid it.

For the WIP ask meme, "Percy Rebels And Shit AU; last year, nodus tollens, outline (2022)"
Ok, so;
Percy Rebels And Shit AU is a collab fic series idea between me and @vivithefolle, set in a No Boy Who Lived AU of Harry Potter, where Harry himself was never born. It's in it's early stages, mostly of planning and brainstorming. But as you can tell by the title, it focuses less on Harry, you know, not existing, and more on the ramifications of Ginny's first year at Hogwarts without him.
As in, nobody with parsletongue hanging around to open the chamber.
We open at the close; the start of the fic is set post this alternate year two, wherein Ginny succumbs, Neville and Ron are memory botched by Lockheart, and Dumbledore is scrambling with his allies to combat the fact there are now two whole voldemorts wandering around.
Our focal character is Percy Weasley, because the main actual premise of this fic outside the like, setting exposition, is that Percy gets disillusioned with the Wizarding World status quo and ends up radicalised by a group of disestablishment-minded individuals - an awkward collection of people from all sides of ww political spectrums only weakly held together by the singular goal of removing the acting government. Some of them are total anarchists, some of them are blood purists, some of them are ww liberal, some of them are statute abolitionists, etc etc.
In a sense, PRAU is a combination of standard HP AU trope ideas (no/wrong boy who lived, voldemort returns early, rebellion against the corrupt ministry, etc) and sort of... twists them 180 to the left. Squints at 'em and interrogates them. Looks at them and says, okay, but what would that actually entail?
But it's not cynical.
The problem i have with most of these AUs is not how edgy they get, though that's kind of the point - a darker take - it's how little faith they have in our protagonists. The Weasley family always gets the short end of the stick, and I don't think that's fair. Me and viv are especially sour on the treatment of Ron, as prominent and loud members of his Defense Squad, lol. The collab part comes in that i'm godawful at writing the kind of... well, almost slice-of-life-esque stuff needed for the non-percy side of things; Viv is the primary writer for Ron's side of the story, while I'm doing Percy. Ron's side of the story is more about the hope, the humanity - sure, Harry might not be here, but he's not the be-all end-all. He's just one guy. There's a whole society of people who wouldn't put up with Voldemort's shit knocking around to lob his head of, you know? Vive la révolution, and all. Just 'cause Harry never existed doesn't mean all hope is lost. Just because Percy starts down a bad path doesn't mean he has to end that way. Just because Lockheart fucked over Ron and Neville doesn't mean they're useless now they've got memory problems - they're people. And where there's people, there's always hope. I don't know. I just don't like how.... pessimistic a lot of WBL/NBL AUs are. It seems antithetical to the point of the whole thing.
obviously the entire outline is unshareable for spoiler reasons, but as for 'last year' and 'nodus tollens';
last year - currently the only actually written part. It contains what will probably end up being the summary on ao3, if/when we get this finished enough to post it;
'Last year, Voldemort returned, in the form of Percy's defence professor. This year, Voldemort returned, in the form of his little sister. And yet, the Ministry does nothing.' When family members die, it can start you down a path there’s no returning from. Percy Weasley knows this better than most.
As for Nodus Tollens....
Nodus Tollens: “The feeling that the plot of your life doesn’t make sense any more.”
In your life, there are many choices you can make. These choices range from what you’ll eat for breakfast that morning, whether you’ll wear black or teal-tinged black or maybe even silver-tinged black that day, whether you’ll re-read your favourite book or find a new one in the library, whether you’ll talk with Mother or go on a mission or, as it stands right now, whether you will live, or whether you will die. Regulus has this choice, and he must make it.
>;).
(As you can probably tell, there's A Lot going on here - and a lot that will have to go into it before it's anywhere near ready to share. This'll be a slow one, and likely won't show up properly for a while yet.)
thank u very much for the ask!
