This Cinderella's story takes place in a world where all the fairytale characters exist but their stories have all gone wrong. It's a horror Dnd campaign, and there's also a multivariate concept where if people die, they're basically just reborn in a worse version of the story. Cinderella here is an NPC and is part of a faction called the Daughters of the Crown, which is a group of rebel nialaistic princesses who want to destroy the Neverafter to be free. She stabbed her fairy godmother in the chest with a glass shard from her shoe and she's a crazy powerful fighter. She wears full plate armor made of reflective glass so that she's essentially invisible when standing still. She's super badass but still is caring and funny. In the final battle when the PCs are fighting the Daughters of the Crown and other bad guys, she turns to their side after the other princesses are defeated and other giant villains come in, including her step mother, who became an eldritch horror. She stabs her stepmother through the heart with a shard of glass after dismissing the stepmother statement that she hurt her because it was destiny, saying that it doesn't matter if it was free will or destiny, she didn't like it. TLDR: She's a badass black woman/princess/knight

She has to go through the usual suffering of Cinderella (dead parents, abusive step-family) and then find out her entire life is a lie, just a story where she has no agency over her life? Her suffering is for someone else's amusement? So she's doing bad. Her stepmother also tries to destroy the ENTIRE universe after snapping. And okay. Ugh okay, I know the writers bring her character back, but that is a past Gamora who does not even remember her recent team mates, the Guardians of the Galaxy. And this new Gamora does not show up till 7~ movies later. I absolutely hated watching Gamora die and then the movie showing her abusive dad crying over her, after he physically and mentally abused her for years and literally murdered her "for the greater good". And then of course her boyfriend Peter hear the news and has a mental breakdown. His sadness is so great that the good guys are unable to stop Gamora's dad and thus Endgame happens. I completely understand if you don't want to add her, I just wanted to give her a shot. My anger really stems from Gamora being an abuse survivor, then has to meet up with her abuser who murderers her in cold blood. Especially since she was one of the main characters in Guardians of the Galaxy. And I get the feeling that the writers for Infinity War/Endgame were not in communication or agreement with the Guardians of the Galaxy writer since GotG's writer had to bring her back out of nowhere for his story to work.

Gamora was raised to be a living weapon and she escaped her abusive life and found a new family who loved her and was even repairing her relationship with her (also abused) sister. Her murder was ALL ABOUT her abuser and how he felt sort of conflicted about throwing her off a cliff - and then all about her boyfriend and how upset he was about her death. Like I even liked her and Peter's relationship, but she also had her sister and friends and we never get into how her death affected them. We never get into how horrific her death was or how tragic it is that her life was cut short and what a waste to the universe it was because she was such a hero. It's just about the men's feelings. Ugh. (also yes technically she was brought back from a different timeline, but it's also very clear that Gamora is a different person, with her own story, and that og Gamora is dead and never coming back).

her getting fridged in love and thunder made me so mad because 1. The movie was about her! I know it's a Thor movie but they literally advertised her as a female Thor. And her conflict about her own mortality is at the core of the film. 2. She dies for not just one man, but two men's character arcs! When she dies, it serves as a redemption for the main villain, and it shows Thor a lesson about how being with her wouldnt make him happy. Because she literally died and now he cant be with her! And because of her death, the villain decides not to kill all the gods. So it could have been a self sacrifice except, oh no! She dies from cancer! A completely arbitrary death!

Her ball was actually her showing up to keep Kai from getting seduced by her aunt (who's queen of the moon) and then killed. Instead of losing her slipper she just lost her entire foot. (That's all just in the first book.)

cinder is a mixed cyborg mechanic who has acquired beef with both her stepmother (adopted) and her bio aunt (tyrant queen levanna) and manages to escape their attempts to keep her down (including arson when she was like. 3 years old) and ultimately overthrows her aunt in a revolution lead by her and the other fairytale retellings (red riding hood and wolf, rapunzel and her ‘prince’, and her cousin snow white and her prince) and establishes a democracy! i enjoyed the series growing up and i personally think that cinder is very cool :]

The first book in The Lunar Chronicles is a retelling of cinderella, and my gosh it’s amazing. Beloved character actress Andrea Martin (1947) is a two-time Tony winner for My Favorite Year (1993) and Pippin (2013), both for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, a nomination she has received five times, more than any other actress. Other stage work includes Exit the King (2009), Noises Off (2016), and A Christmas Carol (2019). You may know her from SCTV if you're old enough, where her impersonations and portrayals will make you cry laughing.

It is a hate crime against me personally that there isn't a single high quality photo of Linda Eder (1961) with her silver fox hair. She is best known for originating the role of Lucy Harris in Jekyll & Hyde (1997), and her career has mainly consisted of concert tours, cabaret acts, and an impressive discography. She teaches masterclasses and vocal lessons. She has an upcoming return engagement at 54 Below, and if someone could send me like $200 to go, that would be great.

They the littlest guy ever, all that they like to do is eat, play with their friends, and sleep. There’s a copy ability called sleep that literally just makes them tired, and in forgotten land there’s a more powerful sleep ability that give them a little blanket and bed. An eepy little guy.

kirby starts off a lot of his games napping & in forgotten land you can even take a nap with elfilin to restore health and it's ADORABLE. and of course, he has his sleep ability, which just makes him take a nap right after inhaling certain enemies.

He's a ball who likes to eat, sleep, and play with his friends, and just so happens to be a godslaying entity that may or may not be an incarnation of a deity. Also just look at his nap animations in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

You will almost always see these adorable little guys sleeping! When Kirby inhales them he gets the Sleep Ability! You can find a whole bunch of them near the Dream Fountain! And!! They're incredibly cute! ^-^

Her arc was NOT over— she was about to retire as a superhero and be a kickass lawyer. Also you may want to fact check this but I’ve heard the showrunner (or at least someone near the top making big decisions in that season) hated her as a character

Vanessa Carlysle

Cause of Death: Shot by gangsters hunting for her boyfriend

The first movie shows that she's so freakin cool and badass and confident and caring and sexy and doesn't take shit from anybody. And she's in the second movie for a Whole Scene before she dies and it's all about them having kids. And after she dies it's like she only existed as Wade's fiancee, like no one else is mourning her, does she have any friends?? Did she have any kind of life outside of Wade???

Despite Deadpool being known for being very aware of medium and genre, the writers of Deadpool 2 showed zero awareness in killing off Vanessa Carlysle solely to motivate her boyfriend, the protagonist. This is played completely unironically - the writers themselves say it! From a Vulture article:

"[...] Then I think at some point somebody just said, ‘Y’know, Deadpool kind of works best when he’s had everything taken away from him, when he suffers.’ So the thought was maybe we can really, really engender great suffering for him by having his line of work be the thing that costs Vanessa her life."

So they made them decide to starting a family only to kill her off in the same scene 👍.

Vanessa was originally not even supposed to die, but they changed that without a thought so the male protagonist would suffer more! And of course, the WAY she dies is made to be all about him, too!

The writers were apparently surprised with all the criticism they received for this scene! Because they were not aware of the concept of fridging at all. 😐

Just because you are aware what fridging is it doesn't mean you have a carte blanche to do it??? Being self aware doesn't make it less stupid.

Deadpool is literally about subverting overused comic tropes and the writers did not know about this overused trope and executed it to a T.

Eudora Patch

Cause of Death: Shot saving her love interest's brother

Her and Diego have an interesting dynamic. Exes who clearly still like each other. They had a nice mutual trust and respect which would have been nice to see grow over time

In some of the short time we see her as her own character, we see her as a mature, level headed but ultimately kind.

Not only is her death purely to motivate Diego with a revenge motive, it only motivates him for the rest of season 1. Come season 2, He has a new love interest and Eudora doesn't even get mentioned.

I don't think Klaus ever even acknowledges her sacrifice saving him and yes he now has his own dead lover to grieve because god forbid character think about more than one person at once.
