I bet Miruko has everything at her home at low level because she's short. Everything is on the lowest shelf or on a table or counter.
When Hound comes over and because they're besties (it's a funny concept to me, this really tall dog man because best friends with a really small rabbit woman) he purposely will put things on the higher shelves just to mess with her. He'll be sitting on the couch and watches Miruko just stand there staring up at a bag of chips on the top shelf before she glares at him and he's just smirking, "Need help, Rumi?"
Then she'll just "NO" and jump up and grab the chips. "JOKE'S ON YOU".
Then there's Burnin (because they're girlfriends, I don't know why that has became my OTP right now but no regrets).
She'll come over and because she's just a little taller and sometimes uses her quirk to put things up, it's on accident she'll put things higher. She apologizes though and gets the things down for Miruko. Or put her on her shoulders because they're chaotic girlfriends.
It takes a while for Miruko to actually invest in a stepping stool.

Flip!Yamada and Regressor!Aizawa Headcanons
(with CG!Inui)
Tumblr media
Before the war, things weren't perfect, but they had a handle on them. Shouta could regress as needed with Hizashi keeping an eye on him, or they could regress together on the rarer occasions that Hizashi also felt small with Nemuri dropping in to keep an eye on both boys. After the war though, when everything has gone to hell? Both are so broken; there's no way around it. There are so many pieces to pick up, perhaps even too many for them to do alone. They have lost the people closest to them and things are different not just on a personal level, but on an institutional scale as well as society itself rebuilds. Big changes are happening all around them, and in spite of having one another it is still difficult to move forwards with the pain that is still quite raw. New wounds and old wounds alike are equally tender, and neither Shouta nor Hizashi feel like they have enough time to pour into the other like they want. Of course this doesn't stop them from trying, but it doesn't halt the grief and loss that seems ever-present in the quiet chaos of the post-war world. There is also a noticeable shift in their regression dynamic as well, with Hizashi needing more time being smaller than he did before. His age seems to drop closer to Shouta's too, another difference that presents challenges when more often than not one's regression now triggers the other's. Though Hizashi is clearly fighting slipping so small—Shouta cannot help but remember how during the...could it even be called an altercation? with Kurogiri that Hizashi had cried, how he had denied he was crying because he was supposed to be a grown man. Shouta didn't realize to the full extent that Hizashi was hurting, but that moment sits with him heavily long after it happens. So heavily, in fact, that Shouta makes a big decision about something that neither of them necessarily like but almost definitely need.
It isn't exactly couple's therapy. Not in the traditional sense, since they aren't having difficulties in their romantic relationship, at least nothing outside of what is healthy. More like...joint counseling concerning their regression and past traumas made fresh again. Doing it together will hold them accountable enough that they actually have to go, or so Shouta had claimed with a sigh. Hizashi is annoyed by such a betrayal, but Shouta assures him he's just as annoyed with himself for not being able to help more. Neither of them are big fans of the concept of getting a third party involved (unless that third party is their big sis, but she isn't around anymore and neither of them want to acknowledge that yet). So they sit impatiently and wait outside of Hound Dog's office despite not wanting to be there, bickering like the children they so often feel like and kicking each other's feet as they argue (which Shouta says is no fair, until Hizashi kicks his metal foot by mistake and winces). It is about that time that Ryou comes to get them, looking utterly unimpressed with their "game" and ushering them into his office. He doesn't exactly specialize in adults, but he cares about their mental health (and it's clear enough that these two fall within his usual domain). The initial session is something that he is prepared for being slow-going based on the short talk he had with Shouta beforehand. It turns out that it's like pulling teeth though—Shouta isn't talkative at the best of times but seems to be trying, his responses coming out awkward yet blunt, whereas Hizashi who is well-known for his loud mouth is suddenly tight-lipped and pouting as he looks pointedly out the window. To call it hesitancy would be generous, as it is closer to outright stubbornness. It's only when Shouta starts struggling with his own answers that Hizashi interjects, making it clear that in order to get him to open up he needs to feel like he is helping someone other than himself.
They work through a few sessions just discussing their regression before Ryou asks if they might allow him to interact with their smaller sides. Not that there haven't been close encounters of the baby kind in the teacher's lounge and dorms before by accident, but for what they are asking of him he needs a more prolonged interaction. Which leads to them making arrangements for aiming to have a regression day in a week's time. A week should be long enough to get used to the idea, but talking about regression is one thing and doing it is another thing entirely. Not that they haven't been middlespacing around Ryou since day one, but this is different. It's difficult . Neither of them are too keen on the idea at first, despite knowing it is something they need to do. It's scary. Letting someone else into that private little world is always nerve-wracking. So maybe they do a bit of scheming. Only one of them will regress and test the waters. It's the perfect plan! Hizashi of course voluntells Shouta that he can be the one to slip all the way first since this whole situation was his idea to begin with. The "suggestion" is punctuated by him sticking his tongue out in a childish fit of pique; Shouta only rolls his eye at the display, but agrees nonetheless. And as planned, the next time they arrive at Ryou's office Shouta is noticeably small, hiding behind Hizashi shyly even as their hands remained clasped together. Like Hizashi, he finds it all too easy—too tempting—to slip small these days. Unlike Hizashi however, his regression itself seems largely unchanged. He still hovers somewhere around two, occupying a nebulous toddlerspace that often dips into babyspace. Like a little spark of electricity, a zap of baby hits them both at the same time. They can't help but notice how nice the space is set up just for them, how Ryou made sure to dress casually in anticipation for tiny tykes that might find his hero costume too much. And Hizashi feels his resolve waver as they enter the office.
Ryou shouldn't really be surprised that they went with a split approach in spite of what they discussed, though he does wish that they had just told him ahead of time. Still, he doesn't give up hope that Hizashi will ease into it. So he is sure to remain patient, and instead encourages Shouta to show him the little backpack of stuff he brought while they give Hizashi a chance to settle in. The contents are about what he expected: a couple of pacifiers, some coloring books, a box of jumbo crayons, and the boy's favorite stuffie. It doesn't go past his notice how Hizashi reacts when something of his is pulled out; apparently Shouta had packed Pompompurin so Chococat wouldn't get lonely, but the hopeful look he gives Hizashi as he passes the stuffie to him tells of a motive beyond that. It's subtle, but there's a crack in the wall he has thrown up when he takes the toy with a tentative smile. Hizashi takes longer to slip down, having committed to staying big that day. But it's a slippery slope from I'm a grown man to I'm a big boy, especially when he's got his playmate waiting on him. The problem isn't in the slipping, it's in the intensity; Hizashi is used to landing somewhere around five on the regression scale, only now he finds himself on Shouta's level and it feels weird. Feels like he should still be big enough to keep an eye on him, not be just as tiny and in need of a watchful eye. In need of help too, as he isn't used to the little things about being littler—like the way he spills juice all down his front because suddenly he is too small for a big kid cup. His frustration that Ryou was cautioned about becomes clear rather quickly as he scrubs at his eyes and fusses over what is really a mild inconvenience. Ryou knows what it is like to get frustrated, to have outbursts—so he recognizes when Hizashi's emotions start to get too big, that these new bouts of frustration are spawned from the worry that those feelings are too much for other people, and those feelings are only piling up.
The session concludes somewhat uneventfully all things considered. Hizashi had a few minor tantrums that were accounted for and carefully de-escalated, and Shouta only tried to chew on a crayon one time until he was successfully distracted by his paci. Though he was more withdrawn than he used to be based on their self-reports (self-reports that they did for each other because they are little shits who would have downplayed or outright lied on their own), which is saying something. Ryou had picked up on the way he would look up at him when he thought he wasn’t paying attention, eye wide and innocent with something akin to want. Not to mention there was the obvious separation anxiety between the two. During the entirety of the session there wasn't once where they were more than three feet apart while they were regressed, and even after they started to come back up that closeness was maintained. Ryou certainly has his work cut out for him, given that neither of the boys have ever really gone through counseling like they should have—the pair having gone to a combined grand total of five sessions since their second year at UA. But with all the other responsibilities they all have to try to fix society after the war, it is nice getting to work with cute tots like them. If nothing else it reminds him that things can get better for them all, as long as they are given the proper support. And support they shall have! Because until they can settle on a babysitter, Ryou has put the rest of the UA staff on baby alert. Meaning that he sends out a sort of blanket email to everyone advising that if they come across any of their fellow staff members while they are regressed to move forward accordingly, or find someone else who may be better suited to help out. Names weren't given, but giving names wasn't necessary. Shouta and Hizashi are, naturally, grumpy about it being broadcasted that they need a babysitter. Perhaps Hizashi moreso, as he whines about how they all don't needta know, says it isn't their business! Only it is their business whether or not him and Shouta are safe—they are heroes too, after all, and that means protecting each other.
While there are a couple potential candidates to act as a caregiver for the boys, it quickly becomes apparent that Ryou is starting to fill that spot. At first, they had considered Taishiro—Shouta's pick, though complications arose around the fact that he isn't a staff member and works out of Osaka. Then they considered Toshinori—Hizashi's pick, and more than just one of convenience. It's hard not to be enamored with the man himself, and the figure of All Might was a big part of their own childhoods as well, which adds to that sense of nostalgia that Hizashi craves. Not to mention Toshinori has wound up keeping an eye on both of them before; the issue with him acting as their primary caregiver essentially boils down to time. He may not be an active hero anymore, but he's playing a major role in overseeing the reconstruction of hero society. Which leaves the boys kind of in the wind for awhile. Try as he might, Hizashi leans more regressor than caregiver these days and Shouta almost always regresses when he does—just another way that they constantly seem to orbit aspects of each other, a part of the universe saying they are inseparable. So while the staff has agreed to take turns and work on establishing some sort of rotation, in the meantime it is left to whoever happens across the tiny heroes. And somehow, nine times out of ten it's Ryou that finds them. Shouta and Hizashi can't decide how it is he knows when they are small and have simply come to accept that he must be some sort of wizard (as is their baby conspiracy discussed in whispers from behind their plushies). In truth, it's because of his senses that are enhanced by his quirk. Most often he knows because he can quite literally smell it on them in the form of baby powder. Or his keen hearing picks up on the sounds of them giggling as they trade back and forth playing with a space helmet and cowboy hat that they've "borrowed".
Somehow it gets to the point where they seek out Ryou for help throughout the day without even thinking about the fact. Never for themselves though! It is either Shouta worrying about Hizashi ignoring the need to be small, or Hizashi worrying about Shouta not taking care of himself—clearly middlespacing as they try to keep it together. They still push themselves, albeit less so as they both begin to allow their new support system to ease into their lives with some hesitancy, afraid that it and the people they care about may be snatched away once again. Unsurprisingly they drop as soon as Ryou reassures them that it's safe to, that they did the right thing coming and finding him. Which means Ryou will have one of the boys toddling behind him while he has to go and toss the other over his shoulder and enforce some much needed small time. It becomes a common sight to see him wrangling the two in such a manner, but it is far from the only common sight this new dynamic brings. Shouta squeezes himself into some small space and camps out somewhere in his sleeping bag? Ryou scoops him up and takes him off to be put in the dorms until he's done with his nap so that his joints won't hurt later. Hizashi has a bad day and gets overwhelmed trying to manage his emotions and starts having a meltdown? Ryou is there to listen, help calm him back down, and remind him that it's okay to cry when he needs to. Before anybody knows it they've got a protective doggy daddy wrapped around their little fingers. Things may not be the same as before and can never be that way again, but that doesn't mean things have to be bad.

Leader of the Pack
Leader of The Pack by Anonymous
It's not really uncommon for an omega to be the leader of a pack. Normally Alpha and Betas can lead pups without breaking a sweat but a single unmated Omega can have three to five pups to scent them as their leader until there's consequences.
Even as an Omega, Aizawa never had problems with this fact due to his extensive expulsions, he allows his old students to scent him and be his pups without dealing with the consequences.
That is, until the entirety of Class 1-A asked permission to scent him…

Teenage Rebellion (and Consequences Thereof)
Teenage Rebellion (and consequences thereof) by Beerus
“You go handle your child.” Vlad ordered glaring right at the sickly looking man. Yagi, sickly as he was, coughed up some blood in sheer surprise of the statement. “Midoriya is your kid right? Go handle him.” Vlad clarified. “I- I am not related to young Midoriya!” he finally managed, face red with embarrassment. “I would still admit, this has been a complete 180 in Midoriya's behavior, it just doesn't feel natural.” Shouta continued. “It can be a quirk affecting him, he has been acting this way since the provisional licensing exam, who knows what quirks were there.” Midnight suggested “Have any one of you even considered the fact that this might not be a quirk but just little Midoriya figuring out that there is another way to respond when you feel you are not being treated right?” Hound dog suggested with a sly smile on his face. Shouta's left eye twitched , “You mean to say..” he trailed for some reason. “You mean to say that this is green bean's version of a teenage rebellion?” Nemuri squealed as she finished the sentence. As if on cue Vlad and Hizashi hit their heads on the table, “you mean to say this is not going away?” the voice hero was wailing now.

Ramblings about BNHA chap 378
So now we are at 378…
…and I’ve mixed feelings for it.
Why?
Because it has plenty of things that are good… but also feels like… rushed and well, considering Horikoshi was hoping to end BNHA with the end of the past year, I can understand he feels like rushing it but still…
Also… the whole scene is broken more than once to switch back and forth to various groups. So, for simplicity sake I’ll actually jump and forth as well to connect all the pieces so that we’ll follow the fate of a character and than of another in a more ordered manner instead than jump back and forth.
So we start with…
THE ‘FIGHT’ BETWEEN LA BRAVA AND SKEPTIC
This fight should have been planned long ago because, back in chap 230, Skeptic has rejected Re-Destro’s accusations of having failed with Jin and has stated proudly he only failed once in his life, and that one with Jin wasn’t failure (yeah, sure he wasn’t, and AFO is just a harmless old guy) and now it turn out his failure was being unable to stop La Brava when, just for practice, she wormed her way into Feel Good Inc.’s server to replace their ads with images of cats. And, to add insult to injury, she informs Skeptic of her having been the one behind it.
So, you see, this was planned long ago, it’s not something that Horikoshi thought last minute.
But how the whole thing goes?
Skeptic is evidently still traumatized by it and by the huge financial hit they took back then and… and his battle with La Brava is… well, nonexistent as he immediately concedes defeat realizing she’s taking over every single one of his systems and take care to inform her he won’t let her take control of U.A. or the evacuation system as well that he’s fleeing so it doesn’t matter if she figured out where he is.
Flash forward into the chapter a bit and it turns out that actually La Brava has already gave away Skeptic’s location and there were conveniently a group of heroes nearby so Skeptic won’t even manage to escape. For him it’s a complete failure.
Meanwhile U.A. altitude is continuing to drop. Due to Skeptic? No, apparently the system got wrecked due to that last impact so La Brava should code a brand new program for it to keep working and keep U.A. in the air only there’s not enough time for her to do that.
So, okay, first break here.
This was a planned fight and I’m so glad La Brava is back and I don’t really like Skeptic and it’s an interesting idea to have a hacker fight a hacker to save the day but their whole fight is… meh.
Basically, as soon as La Brava showed up, she won the battle and, despite what Skeptic says, the reason why U.A. is dropping isn’t that he controls its system but that the system got wrecked by the last impact.
There’s no real battle, there even was a confrontation as Skeptic had no idea La Brava was there until she was and won. And while this brings over the idea that La Brava is oh so good as a hacker… well, it would have been good if it had more air to breathe.
So, great to have a confrontation with La Brava and Skeptic and La Brava being his only failure but… for me it needed more time. It needed Skeptic to try to fight and lose instead than basically concede he has lost the fight immediately. But maybe it’s just me.
Anyway back to the story.
THE POLICE
Back to where La Brava is, a nameless policeman with glasses, after hearing from La Brava she doesn’t have enough time to create a brand new program, complains that they shouldn’t have let their final defense line to Villains.
Tsukauchi hears him yelling such things and quietly says a crime is a crime and they can’t erase the past but it’s not always a lost cause. And when he says so he thinks to Aoyama.
And we go back to why this part is Very Good and why instead… it’s not.
It’s very good because it conveys how society is so prejudiced against Villains they would attack them even when it’s, to put it simply, plainly stupid.
I mean, La Brava wasn’t chosen to be there because she was a Villain but due to her impressive hacking abilities. If they picked her up, it wasn’t to be nice with a Villain, it was because they didn’t have a better person for the job… because if they had they should have just used it.
So if she can’t be fast enough to write the code, no one could have done it, regardless of them being Villains or not. Implying her inability to do it is just due to her being a Villain is stupid. She can’t because there’s no time. The nameless policeman is doing it solely because he’s prejudiced.
Tsukauchi acknowledging that yes, crimes are crimes and the past can’t be changed but trusting Villains isn’t always a lost cause, lays down the basis for finding a way to deal with Villains that isn’t just beating them and then jailing them. It’s basically the war’s very first verbal step to set up a plot in which Shigaraki (and possibly Himiko and Touya) are viewed not like lost causes but as something that could actually change page (well, actually Gori did so when he dealt with Gentle in chap 183 but it’s not bad to get a reminder right at this point of the story). I’ll flash forward a bit and say that Tsukauchi will continue saying important things like “No matter how far they’ve fallen, each villain is still a human being. It’s on us to recognize that about them. We absolutely have to” and “Deep within each of their hearts we’ll find their starting point- their origin.”
So yeah, the story is really using Tsukauchi to bring forward the idea that Villains aren’t just horrible, hopeless creatures as the jailers of Tartarus implied in chap 297.
Now, to be clear, the one of the jailers in chap 297 was a horrible mindsetting, they made clear they wouldn’t have minded if Gigantomachia was just killed as they didn’t see him as a human nor they saw as humans the prisoners they guarded and they have plenty of accusations of human rights violations.
And when we see how the prisoners are handled in Tartarus… well some are kept in a state that would make Arkham Asylum looks like a holiday resort.
So, back to this chapter, it’s good we finally have someone acknowledge this about the Villains. That they are human and that they aren’t hopeless. This is very good, as finally we’re going somewhere in this direction.
What’s not so good?
For start a recurring problem of BNHA, which is that the dark side of hero society is often unrepresented. The nameless policeman with glasses, who represents the people in the police who thinks Villains are hopeless is ONE mob character. He voices the prejudices of society but it’s no one we can hold as ‘representation’, especially against the majority of named and known characters who are actually good.
Tsuragamae was willing to bend rules so as not to get in troubles Midoriya, Shouto and Iida, we’ve heard what Tsukauchi says and I’ve already mentioned how Gori was overall nice with Gentle Criminal.
This ends up making it seem as if people who would react like nameless policeman with glasses are less of a problem because they hardly appear in the story, since they end up being represented by one background character.
And this isn’t the sole circumstance in which this happens.
We’ve learnt there are heroes who’re all but… however the near totality of heroes or heroes in training we see are good people who genuinely want to do good.
Slidin Go is negligible and his crime was basically to be aligned with the Meta Liberation Army and feeling himself overly important, nothing as dark as the people Nagant mentioned but we never had to deal with nor saw.
Nagant is represented as manipulated by the Hero Commission and ultimately rebelling to it, so again, she represents someone who was good, got manipulated but is still good deep inside and, if you allow me to jumpo forward again, in this chapter, will show she’s back with the good guys.
We don’t see Hawks doing something wrong beyond killing Twice, there’s the implication he too might have murdered like Lady Nagant but we have no info about it and the story paints him as a genuinely good person who actually wanted to save Jin even though he ended up deciding on killing him under the belief this would save more lives.
Endeavor is a terrible father but a very good hero and the story places him on a path of atonement/redemption, him having acknowledged his mistakes so, although many fans still hadn’t forgiven him… well, the story doesn’t want to paint him as someone we should hate.
Well, this leaves us without a hero who’s a terrible person and who’s okay with being terrible and is a problem the protagonists have to deal with.
We can say the dark side is represented by the Hero Commission… but the hero commission is soon disposed, actually it’s disposed before we’ll learn of its dark side, so we’re left with nothing.
The president of the hero commission who turned Nagant into a killer and would have killed her off if she resigned, was killed off before the story started, and madam president was represented as a tamer version of him (she didn’t want to kill Nagant and stuck her into Tartarus) and she’s also killed off rather quickly.
And the same goes for those who’re discriminatory toward Heteromorphs, the creature rejection clan being killed off pretty quickly. Yeah, the kids made some rude comments toward Shouji, but it’s mostly waved away with the kids being ignorant about how it was cruel to say such things to him (because city people don’t know about the plight of Heteromorphs) and them apologizing. And yeah, there were the guys who rejected the giant lady, but that can also be washed away with people being in panic due to the situation and, anyway, again, they were unnamed guys.
Someone gave Shouji’s scars, but all this is reduced into a quick flashback.
So we’ve these HUGE problems that plague society and cause people to turn into Villains or make hero Villains who however keeps on being labelled as heroes but… there’s no real representation for them, they’re just an information, a quick glimpse.
Why all this is relevant?
Because in a story you need all this to be represented by characters… to be visible.
When the Villains go and attack ‘hero society’ and there’s no one who’s the face of the dark side of hero society and all we see of heroes are nice heroes it kind of undermines the point the Villains are making.
Readers get feelings for characters that see and know. But here there’s hardly someone we know and we can feel angry/disgusted about so, even if we know some things are bad… we aren’t lead to feel them on an empathic level, we aren’t helped to care.
It’s much more heart wrecking and easy to remember how Stain hurt Iida’s brother than how there were heroes who pushed civilians into becoming Villains to then hunt them down so as to collect rewards, or how Nagant was deployed to kill people who were only talking about committing criminal acts.
Because through Iida we care about his brother (and if you’ve read “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” you care about Tensei as he’s a recurring character there) than about those guys.
So this is a problem of under representation… which is actually pretty relevant because society is actually terrible.
I mean, Tsukauchi implied Aoyama too is technically considered a Villain, Aoyama, a teen who was blackmailed by the greatest demon lord of all due to something his family did for him.
I might understand if he had tried blaming his parents, as they knew what they were getting themselves into but Aoyama? Aoyama is a victim, a scared teen who fears he has no one to turn for help.
If society wants to see him as a Villain on par of willing murderers… well, there’s something seriously wrong to society.
But no, let’s focus on how Tsukauchi says positive things about Villains. Glasses guy will likely disappear in the background soon, after all, to leave us with the impression the world is moving in the right direction because Tsukauchi, thinking to Aoyama, has finally realized that Villains are humans.
And this also kind of feel rushed because the implication is that Tsukauchi came to feel so due to Aoyama (because this is actually such a dark world where it feels normal not to consider Villains as humans), so he made a huge leap but… the thing doesn’t really transition well because we don’t really spend time on it.
It feels as if Tsukauchi has transitioned from ‘Villains are hopeless monsters’ to ‘wait, Aoyama despite being a Villain isn’t a hopeless monster because he’s helping us, so all the Villains are also humans’ which is a way too abrupt 180° turn.
And even if we assume that no, Tsukauchi was already thinking so (but in chap 340, although he said he sympathized he still held him accountable for ‘turning his back on decent society’, you know, the one who doesn’t bat an eyelash to violation of human rights in Tartarus, to Endeavor abusing his family and which the hero commission built secretly sniping away whoever would damage its image) and Aoyama merely confirmed this idea… the fact that Aoyama is considered the proof a Villain can be a human and not hopeless still makes the whole thing weak. This 180° turn needed more time to take place. Not long ago All Might himself was waving off Touya as just ‘the madman Dabi’ [Chap 335] likely not referring just to how he was willing to burn himself to reach his own goal, because a better definition for it would have been ‘suicidal’ but just to how he was willing to turn against the father who abused him and society who supported his father.
And now we see Villains as humans and not hopeless?
It’s great but really, we need to explore how this jump in view came to be, otherwise it’s just jumped out of nowhere for the sake of the story.
Whatever, maybe it’s just me.
Back to the story we return to…
MIDORIYA AND SHIGARAKI
On top of panels depicting them in a parallel way we’ve what Shigaraki said previously.
“I am your villain. I don’t care if you don’t understand. That’s what makes us heroes and villains.”
It summarizes the situation but also the problem Midoriya has to overcome. He has to break the division, the idea there are two clear cut groups, one for the heroes and one for the villains and the only way to do so is through UNDERSTANDING Shigaraki. It’s the thing Shouto failed to do with his brother, deciding he would only try to stop him, and the thing both Midoriya and Ochako failed to do with Himiko and the think Hawks failed to do with Jin, we saw that it lead them to get 0 results, actually it only worsened the situation.
The less the Villains feel understood the harder they attack.
The scene though is interrupted again to show UA is still falling and about to crash, as well as filled with Twice’s clones when… someone appears. The scene is technically interrupted to show Skeptic being captured as I anticipated previously and, when we come back to it we discover said someone is…
GENTLE CRIMINAL
So Gentle Criminal is back, of course, and he’s here to save the day.
A flashback, which took place a month and a half ago, starts showing Muscolar freeing the prisoners in Mikuzu Prison, telling them that their lives were their own so they can live as they see fit. You might remember that when AFO began to free convicts we learnt that 7 prisons came under attack but prisoners didn’t manage to escape only from a prison… and this thanks to Gentle who, feeling regret for having walked down the wrong path, manages to stop them all.
As a thank you for this they allowed him to see again La Brava.
Now… it’s great that they had Gentle have his great moment but… he magically did it all on his own when previously he didn’t seem that stronger and, what’s more, he’s the only one Villain who actually try to stop the others. In a chapter that tries to bring forward the idea that Villains can change… the fact that only one prisoner stood up to stop the others, make it looks as if it’s exceedingly rare since the other Villains are all depicted as wanting to escape and do violent acts.
It would have worked much better if other prisoners were to join Gentle in his fight, proving Gentle isn’t the exception, that there’s more people like him.
Never mentioning Gentle wasn’t really a violent criminal or something like that, acting for the pleasure to hurt others, same as La Brava, same as Aoyama, so it seems to carry the message that the Villains who aren’t hopeless are the ones who committed minor, non violent crimes.
Muscolar, for example, is never shown having a good reason to be a Villain and doesn’t regret murdering people.
And if we go to Nagant, who did murder people, well, society would probably excuse her the way they did with Hawks murdering people, as those murders were for the better of society so… we really needed more to carry on the intended message.
But it’s easier and faster to focus just on Gentle and having solely him here so…
Anyway, back to present Gentle uses his power to make things elastic to turn air elastic and therefore catch the falling U.A. reminding us what was what lead him to become who he was, he wanted to become a hero and tried to save someone who’d fallen, but since he failed his life ended up ruined.
He was expelled from school, his parents grew desperate, he was targeted of bullying and chased away by his own family until he came to believe his dreams were dead and gave up on them, deciding to become a Villain. It wasn’t this great Villain origin story, but the core of it was he actually wanted to be a hero, and this time (likely combining his quirk with La Brava’s) he gets to save tons of people from falling and THIS IS GREAT.
Gentle wonders if Midoriya too is fighting for the happiness of other people, and Midoriya is touched by how Gentle came to his help.
So we’ve reached…
THE ENDING OF THE CHAPTER OR LADY NAGANT IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!
In fact the chapter ends with Shigaraki trying to use his quirk but Lady Nagant, with one of her bullets, basically rips his hand away (and all the while we have the previously mentioned scene of Tsukauchi saying “No matter how far they’ve fallen, each villain is still a human being. It’s on us to recognize that about them. We absolutely have to” and “Deep within each of their hearts we’ll find their starting point- their origin.”).
And by the way, it’s great to see Lady Nagant as well, I LOVE HER!, she’s all bandaged so she’s probably not well but it’s great to see her only it feels weird she had been quiet up until the story required her to act. I mean, what about saving Katsuki previously? But, who cares, I’m glad she’s back.
However… even though Lady Nagant ultimately agreed to help Midoriya by giving him info about AFO, she didn’t seem so into it she would stand up against AFO (and Shigaraki), so again, her deciding to be there feels rushed. And yes, maybe next chapter will devote a page or two about why she came there but still…
So, overall, there’s A LOT OF GREAT THINGS IN THIS CHAPTER but… I think they could have benefitted of being developed in more time.
But I guess we can’t have all and I’m glad to see that the story seems to be turning toward a point in which people will consider understanding Shigaraki as a way to deal with the conflict and save him instead than just beating him harder as a way to stop him or force him to comply.
I only wish the story had spent more time setting up the stage for how the characters acted here than how it tossed them here abruptly. But whatever, maybe that’s just me.

Part 3 - Chapter 15 - I-Island: Friends New And Old
Blank Canvas Part 3
AO3 - here
Fanfiction.net - here
It's finally I-Island time!!! :D Super excited to explore this arc with you peeps. ^____^ I'm sure you're all wondering how this is going to go down since Izuku doesn't have OFA. I myself am happy with what I came up with so I hope you all do as well!
Warning for spoilers for My Hero Academia: Two Heroes for this next arc on I-Island. Please watch the movie if you don't want to be spoiled! :D
Linktree to all the things!
End notes for the chapter are under the line.
There ya have it! The start of I-Island shenanigans. Izuku's muttering seems to just be getting worse but he's got an idea on how to handle that in the future. And it's just so fun for him to have awkward introductions because of it. XD
Melissa has officially met the Freakateers! Mei is so possessive and overprotective of Izuku. XD I just love her spaz nature so much. Her emotions always doing a 180 flip at a moment's notice. Hitoshi and Shouto of course would be more chill while Izuku is awkward but sociable. Plus Quirkless bonding time.
I had a lot of fun with Hound Dog being a part of their group in this. Easily sniffing out that something wasn't quite right. ;) And with All Might actually being open with his friend about OFA, David and he had a heart to heart both getting things off their chests. Will the Heroes be prepared in time? We'll have to wait and see! :D
Fun Facts About Japan:
This is more of an anecdotal one. For my personal experience with it comes to the JET Program application process, it took about 10 months. I submitted my application in September and got an email in December that I would get an interview which was in January. Then in March I found out I got wait-listed and had to wait to see if I would get picked or not. Thankfully only for a week! I got another email informing me I was to be placed in Yachiyo City and let's just say for me I was very happy for the wait.
In the application you can give requests of possible placements and why. Not a guarantee but I have a feeling it might have affected my placement. XD I put down Chiba as my top choice for the sole reason that Tokyo Disneyland was located in it. Yup, as reminder Tokyo Disney is in the Tokyo Bay area but technically it is in Chiba Prefecture! Anyway, I added that I would find a way to visit Tokyo Disney regardless of placement but being in Chiba would just make it easier. After a week, I find out I got Yachiyo that was 40 minutes away by train? Ya-freaking-tta!! I'll take it. And if I became the local Disney expert/park guide, let's just say I channeled my inner cast member and Disney magic. ;P That and years of experience visiting the US park as well as working in Disney World for a year.
Anyway, when it came time to finally depart for Japan in late July, for me it was quite the process. Depending on where you're flying from, not all airports have a direct path to Narita or Haneda airport. That was happened to me and so I had to fly to California, stay a night, and then take a flight from there to Japan. Lots of lugging around so many suit cases to and from and back to the airport. The flight to Japan is over 11 hours and once you get there, as soon as you get through customs and to the hotel, it's straight into 3 days of orientation. Physically and mentally exhausting but still worth it.
Then there's that first night in Tokyo. You're exhausted but how can you resist not exploring! Seeing Shinjuku for the first time was an experience much like how Izuku is when he first sees I-Island. So much to see, hear, eat, and just absorb. And I feel like I mentioned this once before, but I still cannot believe I got to see a freaking giant Godzilla head on top of TOHO cinema my very first night in Japan! XD That's when it really started to sink in for me. And it just so happened to be when a newer Godzilla film had come out too so double Godzilla. You can see some of my pictures here. Enjoy!
That's it for now! We've got more I-Island fun to come next chapter. But no spoilers for that. ;) Have fun theorizing! Okay, bye bye. ^___^

It's Okay To Be Open Here by MisnamedImmortality
Shinsou let out a small sigh, "I don't really know either. It's like, I want to talk about it. I want too so badly, but the words refuse to come out. I'm so scared that something bad will happen if I say the words." He tried to slip deeper into the chair, seeking comfort in the fabric against his back.

Note
You mentioned Hound dog and Sansa in the post too, and i have to wonder if they ever got someone asking if they hate each other, bc you know, cat and dog, again.
I had to take a moment right there, Anon, because I have indeed wondered the same thing and ultimately I just said "Hell with it, they're dating now".
Because it's funny.
"So like Hound, do you hate that cat cop?"
"No? That's my boyfriend."
"I'm sorry, come again?"

Bello Licentiae Chapter 6: The Saddest People in the World...
Summary:
tw: kidnapping, tight spaces mention, blackmail mention 'text' JSL Text thoughts
Akira sagged into their comfy chair in Inui's office, sluggishly dragging the weighted blanket across their torso so their inflamed legs could get some relief from the heat. ' Murder God said you kept the afternoon free for him. Same deal today? '
Inui softly smiled, "Yes, I wanted to make sure you both had the time you need to express yourselves without the idea of so much time to fill looming over you. How are you adjusting to the dorms?"
Akira looked away from his desk and fiddled with their fidget ball for a moment. ' It's weird. A good weird, I think, but the intense nightmares have stayed longer than usual. '
They talked about Akira's sleep schedule and the possibility of sleep aids, although Akira didn't want to go on sleep aids for risk of not waking up fast enough. Inui pointed out the difficulty anyone would have in infiltrating U.A., but they knew better now. They went over a few new triggers that might show up and a few that were probably aggravated by the kidnapping. Half an hour into the session, Akira started to pick up on the subtle shifts in topic toward earlier in their summer. Whenever they diverted the topic, Inui would lessen the pressure, but Akira knew they needed to talk about it today.
Finally, after Inui asked if their difficulty with tight spaces had gotten worse, better, or stayed about the same recently, Akira relented, ' Definitely worse since I was stuck in a marble. ' They quickly shifted the weighted blanket onto the arm of the chair as the weight became less grounding and more a reminder of being trapped.
Akira took one look at the chaotic cacophony of the common area and sighed, resigning themself to get leftovers later as they made their way to the elevator. Head pounding, they groaned as Ida loudly called out, "Mori! It's important to eat after a stressful day."
Akira turned a half-hearted glare his way as they soldiered on, making it to the elevator as Koji pulled alongside them. The corner of their mouth quirked up at Katsuki yelling back at Ida as they slumped against the elevator wall.
' Do you need company or time alone? I can also bring dinner up for you, ' Koji offered.
Akira held up two fingers and nodded gratefully. They didn't have the spoons left to do much else as they settled into their room and started taking off their aids. Akira left the small speaker on their bedside table in case they had the energy to practice later.
They were almost done with the yakisoba when their phone lit up. After a moment, Akira sighed and sent a thumbs-up. A few minutes later, Aoyama knocked on the door. ' You wanted to talk? ' they signed as he closed the door behind him.
Aoyama's ever-present sparkles dulled and winked out as he leaned against the wall. He flashed a strained smile, "Oui, last night was trés unexpected."
Akira nodded, ' You thought it was over, I'd imagine? ' He recoiled, brows quirking up. They breathed out shakily. ' All for One mentioned a traitor and confirmed it was you as I went through the possibilities. '
"Does Aizawa-sensei know?" Aoyama's face trembled as his eyes darted anywhere in the room but Akira's face.
Come on, you can trust me. Let me switch in. They fidgeted with the Bastard plush, keeping it to the side so he could clearly see their attentive, somewhat open body language. ' Not yet. He's aware of the existence of a traitor among the students, but he was fine with me waiting to tell him until I got the chance to speak with them. Especially after I told him I didn't think the traitor was a willing participant .'
Aoyama's gaze snapped back to them as his face morphed into shock. "But I betrayed everyone," he whispered and sagged further down the wall. "I deserve whatever they see fit."
Akira sharply shook their head and made their way closer, sliding on their crutches as their legs protested the movement. ' Hear me out. Three Quirkless kids dream of being a hero. They learn to hide and stay out of the spotlight as society tries to break them down. One is offered a quirk with a heavy price and drawback. The second is offered a quirk with a heavy price and drawback. The third goes through forced quirk manifestation and gets a quirk with a heavy drawback. '
Aoyama looked up in confusion as Akira paused. "Three?"
Akira nodded, ' All three want to become heroes, and all three forced a foot in the door. Each wants to change the society that betrays and hurts them at every turn. Things didn't change that much, but now they've found a grey area they can make a platform out of.
Now, why is one of them a villain if the others are victims? '
Aoyama shook his head as his eyebrows drew together. "It's different, mon ami! You haven't done anything yet. I gave the camp location away. I found the teacher's schedule. I tried to stop the rescue. I took my quirk from a villain!"
Akira flinched back involuntarily as Aoyama got louder. His expression morphed into resigned but hurt as Aoyama put a hand to his mouth. "It doesn't matter what happened before or how I got to All for One. I've still done heinous things and nearly gotten students and heroes killed. I'm the one who forced All Might to retire."
Akira let themself take a moment to calm their heart as Aoyama shuddered against the wall. ' Sparkles, ' they paused and waited for him to look up enough again to see them. ' You are not alone. I can get you out for good- '
"I can't leave my family," Aoyama interrupted, voice wavering.
Understanding flooded Akira as they hissed in a breath. ' Okay. Then we should go to Eraser .' As his eyes filled with panic, Akira held out a hand. ' He's aware of my arrangement, and if he knows yours, he can help your family. Do you know where they are? '
"Oui," Aoyama said miserably, "they know where we live in Japan."
' It's time you had someone on your side, ' Akira smiled encouragingly. ' Eraser is probably your best chance of getting them out before All for One comes back. Not ,' Akira added as Aoyama's eyes went wide, ' that it's a certainty he will, but it's important to prepare for the possibility. I can go with you if you want the buffer or someone to fill in the details if you get overwhelmed. '
Aoyama nodded and turned to leave only to hesitate. Turning back, he asked, "Is the third Midoriya?"
Akira nodded, ' I assumed his quirk forcibly manifested but apparently not. His situation around getting the quirk is pretty different from what I understand of yours, but that's for him to tell if he wants. Just let me know when you want to talk with Eraser, and I'll be there. '
Notes:
Inui wasn't pressuring them to talk about it, but Akira knew if they didn't talk that day, they'd just get more anxious about it until they blew up or started avoiding therapy entirely. I finally read Aoyama's wiki entry and this poor kid :'( I knew he was nuanced but oh my gods he has it rough. This is a pretty short chapter. I tried to come up with more content, but the scenes are pretty self-contained, and the timeline is tight for this arc. Anything I tried to add either forgot this is only the day after chapter 5 or felt too much like needless filler. This does have my favorite line in Bello Licentiae, though :)

Baby steps.
baby steps. by nitroglycerin and paraffin
“I want to see my mom,” Bakugou says. “And my dad. And Izuku.” “Is Izuku your friend?” Bakugou gives a distracted nod, eyebrows furrowing. “Yeah. He's tiny.” And he slices his hand through the air a couple feet off the ground, like he's showing just how tiny Midoriya is. “And he cries a lot. I always have to save his stupid ass because he's fucking useless.” And there it is, Shouta thinks. The cursing.
“Bakugou,” the child says, staring up at Shouta. “My name is Bakugou Katsuki.”
