A Complete Family (Suguru Geto x Fem Reader)
Hello everyone! This is a super fluff filled story, and I enjoyed writing this so much! I hope you enjoy!
Synopsis: Suguru and his wife Y/N have been struggling with infertility for the past few years. After coming to a wonderful decision, they adopt two beautiful girls, Mimiko and Nanako.
Contains: PURE FLUFF
Tumblr media
Suguru Geto and Y/N had been together for five years, their love growing stronger with each passing day. Their bond was unbreakable, and they had faced numerous challenges together, but nothing had prepared them for the heartbreak they were enduring. Y/N had always dreamed of being a mother, but after numerous negative pregnancy tests and failed attempts at IVF, it became clear that she couldn't carry children of her own.
One evening, as the sun set over the city, Suguru approached Y/N with a determined look in his eyes. He could see the pain in her eyes, the longing to be a mother, and he couldn't bear to see her suffer any longer.
"Y/N," Suguru began gently, taking her hand in his. "I've been thinking. I know how much you want to be a mother, and I want to make that dream come true for you. We've tried everything, but maybe it's time we consider the next best thing."
Y/N looked at him, her eyes brimming with hope. "What do you mean, Suguru?"
Suguru took a deep breath. "I mean adoption. We could provide a loving home for a child who needs one. We have so much love to give, and I believe that we can make a difference in a child's life."
Tears welled up in Y/N's eyes as she nodded. She knew that adoption was a beautiful way to build a family, and she was touched by Suguru's willingness to explore this option.
Over the next few months, they embarked on the lengthy and emotional journey of adoption. They filled out countless forms, underwent background checks, and attended parenting classes. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, with moments of frustration and doubt, but their love for each other and their shared dream of becoming parents kept them going.
Nearly a year later, they received the long-awaited call from the adoption agency. There were two little girls in need of a loving home, five year old twin sisters named Mimiko and Nanako. Without hesitation, Suguru and Y/N agreed to meet them.
The day they met the twin girls was a day they would never forget. Mimiko and Nanako were shy at first, but their smiles were infectious. The girls had been through their own share of challenges, but their eyes held a spark of hope.
Suguru and Y/N spent the day with Mimiko and Nanako, getting to know them, playing games, and sharing stories. It was a day filled with laughter, tears, and the warmth of a newfound family. As the sun dipped below the horizon, Suguru and Y/N knew that they had found their daughters.
The adoption papers were officially signed, and Mimiko and Nanako became a part of their loving family. The joy and happiness they brought into Suguru and Y/N's lives were immeasurable. The house echoed with laughter and the pitter-patter of tiny feet, and the heartbreak of the past was replaced with the hope and promise of the future.
Suguru and Y/N had discovered that family was not solely defined by blood but by the love, care, and commitment they had for one another. They realized that their journey to parenthood had led them to the most beautiful destination of all—the love of two incredible twin girls who had filled their lives with immeasurable joy.
After a few months of settling in with the girls and adjusting to the life of now a completed family of four, things had been pretty busy around the Geto residence.
Y/N had just returned from a busy day of grocery shopping, her arms filled with bags of fresh produce and other household essentials. As she approached her front door, she couldn't help but smile at the sounds of giggles and laughter on the other side.
Opening the door, she stepped into their cozy living room, which was washed in the soft glow of the afternoon sun. And there they were, in the heart of their home, Suguru Geto, her husband, and their two adorable adopted daughters, Mimiko and Nanako.
Y/N's heart swelled with love as she watched the scene before her. Mimiko and Nanako had decided that today was the perfect day to pamper their beloved "Daddy" Suguru. Mimiko sat on the floor, cradling Suguru's head in her small lap, and with a look of intense concentration, she was braiding his dark hair with colorful ribbons. Nanako, sitting beside them, carefully painted Suguru's nails with an assortment of vibrant colors, her tiny hands focused on each stroke.
Suguru, the usually stoic and somewhat quiet man, looked surprisingly at ease. He glanced up from his position on the floor and met Y/N's eyes. His lips curved into a gentle, affectionate smile. "Hello, sweetheart," he greeted her warmly.
Y/N couldn't help but giggle at the sight. Her heart was full of gratitude for the family they had created. She set her bags on the table and walked over, kneeling down beside her daughters and giving them each a quick peck on the cheek. "What are you all up to today?" she asked, curiosity dancing in her eyes.
Mimiko beamed at her. "We're making Daddy pretty!" she exclaimed proudly, her small hands continuing to braid Suguru's hair with great determination.
Nanako, equally enthusiastic, added, "And we're making his nails beautiful, just like yours, Mommy!"
Y/N chuckled, ruffling their hair affectionately. "Well, you're doing an amazing job," she praised them. "Daddy does look quite handsome, and his nails are fabulous!"
Suguru smirked, tilting his head to give her a better view of his freshly painted nails. "I thought it was time for a makeover," he said, a playful glint in his eyes. "And who better to help me than these two little artists?"
As the girls continued their work, Y/N found herself completely captivated by the sight before her. She was overwhelmed with love for her family. In this cozy, sunny room filled with laughter and love, she knew she had found her own piece of heaven on Earth.
In that precious moment, Y/N couldn't have asked for more. She had a loving husband, Suguru, who had welcomed her into his life, along with their two beautiful daughters. The bond they shared was unbreakable, and moments like this made her heart swell with happiness. With a heart full of gratitude and a smile on her face, she leaned over and planted a loving kiss on Suguru's lips.
Their family was far from conventional, but it was perfect for them, and it was all they ever needed.

hello! i was wonder if you could do fluffy headcannons for vi and caitlyn? thanks in advance and have fun writing this : D
Fluffly Vi and Caitlyn HC's
Tumblr media
VI
Vi is actually quite a bookworm! Growing up in the Lanes makes it hard to learn how to read and it wasn't until Vander found her trying to make sense of a novel left behind by a patron at the Last Drop that she started learning. Vander taught her himself, after the rest of her adoptive siblings went to bed, Vi would stay up and have Vander teach her how to read next to the soft glow of candle light. Those are some of her favorite memories with him.
She is a dog person through and through. Will beg for the two of you to adopt a dog once you've been living together for a while and you always seemed unsure. Little did she know, you were actually planning to surprise her with a puppy for her birthday! And when you finally do, oh, she cries so much! There are tears of happiness sliding down her freckled cheeks as she holds the tiny golden retriever puppy in her hands. Your apartment is alive with the sounds of her sobs and the puppy's attempts at barking, your heart clenches with joy at the scene. Vi will forever be grateful to you for such a thoughtful and amazing gift. She knows she can never repay you but she's willing to try through kisses and hugs.
Hates going clothes shopping unless you're the one doing it. If so, she's at your service. She'll carry your bags, point out clothes that she thinks you'll look nice in and compliment you when you try them on. When she's the one buying clothes, she likes for it to be done as quickly as possible. Though she can't say she minds the appreciative looks you give her when she tries on some particularly tight clothes or ones that show off her muscles.
Loves silly pet names. Cutie, honey bee, hot stuff, etc. But most of the time she likes to stick with good ol' 'babe'. Her heart almost jumps out of her chest the first time you call her 'darling'. There's just something about the way that word rolls off of your tongue that makes her stomach erupt with butterflies. First names are only uttered in serious situations.
Her giving love language is physical touch, receiving is words of affirmation. Vi loves being close to you, hugging, kissing and touching you whenever she can. She craves reassurance and affirmation due to her past. Needs to know she's good to you and that you feel loved and protected by her side.
Her favorite season is autumn! It's chilly but not too cold, but at the same time cold enough for her to cozy up inside and enjoy the rainy scenery unfolding outside your shared place. Even better if the two of you cuddle under a blanket and doze off in each other's arms. Violet swears she never slept better.
As much as she adores being the big spoon, she has a secret fondness for being the small spoon too. Especially after a nightmare, Vi needs to be held and feel protected. Her life has been one of hardship and being in your embrace reminds her that that period of her life is over. Now there is only your warmth and smile which protect her from all harm and sadness life brings.
Tumblr media
CAITLYN
Has no bias when it comes to dogs or cats, but since she grew up with dogs, she isn't opposed to adopting a cat with you this time around. She had planned to find a more exotic and fancy cat breed but that went out the window one night as she was coming back from work. Coming back to you. It was a rainy night and it was already quite late as she stayed longer in her office than she should've so she was hurrying along. Despite the heavy sounds of rain and her footsteps echoing off the pavement, her ears managed to pick up a tiny, desperate sound. Cautiously following it to a dark alley, she was surprised when she stumbled upon a dirty kitten that was meowing its little heart out. Caitlyn couldn't bear to just leave it so she took it home to you. Your kind soul immediately saw the kitten as a new addition to your little family and it made Caitlyn so happy. The sweet but feisty calico kitten would quickly become an integral part of your everyday lives and the two of you wouldn't have it any other way!
Opposite of Vi when it comes to shopping, Caitlyn loves indulging herself with new fits and it's even better if she gets to do the same for you! Be prepared to never have to use your wallet ever again because your girlfriend has you covered. Loves to spoil you with whatever you desire and buys you stuff weekly, even if you don't ask for it. Whenever she buys you new clothes, Caitlyn likes to make a little show out of it! She'll twirl you around and give advice on how to pair different articles of clothing. However, she understands if it may be a bit too much at first so she'll start off with small and inexpensive but sentimental gifts. Anything to make you happy.
Caitlyn secretly collects antique porcelain figurines. She remembers her mother always having some on display when she was a child but never let her go near them in fear that she'd break them on accident. But she was always so amazed by their graceful yet still forms and the details which adorned their smooth surface. So, when she got older, she started buying them out of pure self-indulgence. When the two of you start dating, she's actually a bit scared that you'll find her obsession silly but, as always, you pleasantly surprise her with a look of awe and compliments on how pretty they are. When a couple of days later you show up with a gift for her, she is so happy! That happiness grows too big for her heart to contain when the gift turns out to be two custom-made porcelain figures with a striking resemblance to the two of you. You may not know it, but this definitely helped heal her inner child.
Besides practicing shooting, Caitlyn also loves fencing! It lets her release tension and stress which piles up from work and it keeps her agile. Puffs out her chest with pride if she ever spots you watching her during practice. Tries extra hard to impress you but at the same time gets really clumsy because she's constantly checking if your eyes are on her and only her. You catch on quickly and find it very endearing.
Soft and sweet pastries are her weakness. Goes to her favorite bakery to pick up her breakfast every morning before work. Once she's with you, she drops by in the afternoon too, during her break, so she can get you your favorite and give it to you when she gets home. At the end of a long day, there is nothing Caitlyn yearns for more than the sweet taste of a flaky pastry and your soft lips.

"PAPA!" Eli shouted from the bedroom, at 8pm. Fips and Lawrence both exchanged glances with shock, before Fips immediately pushed himself up and ran to Eli and Joshua's shared bedroom. When he came in, he saw Eli in Joshua's arms, and Micah sleeping beside Joshua on his left, leaning against him. "...yes Eli?" Fips asked, raising a brow. Joshua smiled, wrapping an arm around his adoptive brother's waist to pull him closer, while the other was wrapped around Eli. Eli pouted, as Lawrence came into the room as well.
"Can you read us a bedtime story?" Eli then questioned innocently, making Fips and Lawrence sigh. "You yelled for us for that?" Fips asked, re-raising his brow. Eli nodded, smiling proudly. Joshua chuckled, and before he could apologize for Eli's shouting, Lawrence had already plopped himself next to Micah with a book in his hands.
As Joshua, Eli and Lawrence looked at him expectantly, Fips caved in. He sat down on Joshua's right, and smiled slightly, as Lawrence started reading. However, in the middle of it, due to Micah being a light sleeper, he woke up and got confused. However, he relaxed after being told They were just reading bedtime stories. "Why though...?" He asked softly, a puzzled expression apparent on his face. "Eli" Fips merely replied, to which Micah let out an "oh" sound.
"What book is it?" Fips asked, tilting his head slightly as he grabbed a few blankets and pillows so they could snuggle up. Eli, being the one getting easily cold, grabbed at least three and wrapped himself in them like a cocoon. Joshua laughed, and since he got warm rather easily, he just grabbed a blanket and draped it around his shoulders. Micah also grabbed a blanket, well two actually, and snuggled into them. Lawrence had one around himself as well, the same with Fips.
"Uh...it's called Moonlit memories" Lawrence replied. As he cleared his throat and everyone closed their eyes, He began reading:
"In a quaint cottage nestled on the edge of a sleepy town lived a woman named Isabella. She was a painter known for her exquisite landscapes that captured the beauty of both the ordinary and the extraordinary."
"As the world outside embraced the hush of night, Isabella would settle into her cozy nook, surrounded by the gentle glow of candles and the subtle scent of lavender."
"Her favourite moments were the ones when the moon hung high in the sky, casting a silver tapestry over everything it touched."
"One serene evening, as Isabella dipped her brush into a palette of midnight blues and velvety purples, she felt a presence at her window. It was a wise old owl, its eyes like glimmering amber."
"“May I join you, dear painter?” the owl asked, its voice carrying the wisdom of ages."
"Isabella smiled warmly. “Of course, you’re welcome here.”"
"The owl settled on the windowsill, and as Isabella painted, it shared stories of moonlit adventures and the secrets of the night. Each stroke of her brush seemed to capture the whispers of the stars and the moon’s soft embrace."
"As the night deepened, Isabella realized she was painting not just a scene but a memory. It was a memory of all the nights she had spent gazing at the moon, feeling its tranquil presence heal her heart and inspire her art."
"As the first light of dawn began to brush the sky with gentle pastels, Isabella finished her painting. The owl blinked at the masterpiece with approval."
"“It’s not just a painting,” the owl said. “It’s a piece of your soul, a piece of the night’s magic.”"
"With a knowing smile, the owl spread its wings and took flight, leaving behind a sense of wonder that seemed to infuse the very air."
"As Isabella nestled into her bed, her painting resting against the windowsill, she felt a serene contentment settle over her. The moon’s gentle touch and the owl’s wise words had brought a sense of comfort around her."
"With a whispered “goodnight” to the night sky, Isabella closed her eyes, her heart brimming with gratitude for the simple magic that painted her world in moonlit memories."
"And so, in the quiet hours of the night, as moonbeams weave stories through dreams, Isabella’s paintings continue to hold the secret of moonlit nights, whispering the enchanting stories of the nocturnal world to all who choose to listen."
By the end of the story, Micah already fell asleep again, as expected, he woke up and fell asleep just as easily. Joshua and Eli were half-asleep, though they would probably fall asleep in the next minute due to their tired cuddling. Lawrence smiled and put the book down, looking to speak to Fips, only to notice that he was actually asleep. Huh, sleep deprivation got to him! Lawrence just chuckled, and decided to try and fall asleep too. As he listened to the soft rain tapping against the windows and the occasional thunder, his eyelids felt heavy, and he fell asleep as well.

Fic Rec List
AO3 is holding a Feedback Fest for International Fanworks Day! So, in no particular order, here are 10 fics from my bookmarks that I recommend. :) Most of these fics are by stellar authors, but the list is for individual fics. I recommend checking out the authors as well.
EDIT: fandom code. LU = Linked Universe. FS = Four Swords
Dawn of the Fourth by @lazuliquetzal - (LU, complete) A fic that's on plenty of rec lists, I'm sure! The mastery of plot, character, and language itself is top-tier. This has a mystery-ish plot filled with twists and turns that hold up very very well on rereads! The tension remains taut the whole time, but it isn't too stressful. There are some particular images from this one that have stuck with me since I read it.
Threats and Theatrics by htruona - (LU, complete) This one makes me laugh. A lot. Vio is too dramatic for his own good, and I adore the idea that they might just keep fake blood on them for stuff like this.
A Guide to Living (Again) by @cerame (LU, complete) - Also one that I'm sure is not unfamiliar to a lot of people! It's no secret that I'm a big fan of Shadow, and it was so so much fun to see these other opposite-Links coming around, too. This is just overall a very good time.
Awake, Sweet Prince by @vagueandominousvibes - (FS, complete) There's a lot by Kahl I adore, she's an excellent writer with a wonderful handle on world and words, and this one in particular is one of my favorites. I love slightly spooky fae and this is definitely high on my list.
Count to Nine by @tess-aka-fishy (LU, complete) - One of my top fluff and humor fics. Everyone is in-character in the best way possible, being chaotic but not necessarily on purpose. It's awesome.
It's Dangerous to Go Alone by @hey-adora (FS, complete) - Among the many standout works by Sam, this one is an excellent one to recommend thanks to the showcase of her particular brand of humor, the fun, adventure-y plot, canon-extension worldbuilding, and of course the focus on Vio and Shadow being awful as always.
Keep Your Face to the Sun by Ageofavalon (LU, complete) - This one is a wonderful little fic with, surprise surprise, a focus on Shadow. This one just feels cozy, and I've reread it a lot. I particularly enjoy the way that they adopt him into the LU Chain :)
Take a Number, Any Number by @cluelessmoose (LU, complete) - An outstanding Four whump fic that recently got a very satisfying second chapter. It uses a lot of my favorite whump tropes. The imagery and particular use of words makes this a delight to read.
Soft Glows by @youmixxx (FS, incomplete) - Breaking my hesitant rule of "only complete fics allowed" to rec this fantastic Green/Blue modern college AU story. The attention to detail in this fic is unbelievable—and I mean detail in-text in descriptions and narrative, as well as behind-the-scenes details like consistent schedules. It's beautiful. Don't let the word count intimidate you because it flies by in a haze of glory.
Draw a Circle Around Your Grief by @lattewritesthings (LU, complete) - Dramatic, horrific, bitter, hurt-no-comfort—BUT in a way that doesn't leave you hanging on a thread. It's tragic but the resolution is satisfying anyway. The images are striking and the emotions are potent.

always golden┆gojo satoru
୧ genre: fluff
୧ wc: 1.0k
୧ synopsis: young megumi learns what love is through the affections you and gojo share after being unofficially adopted by both of you.
Tumblr media
Behind Satoru's steady gaze resting upon your soft expression as you fell to your quiet musings again, there's a warm sun-lit current in the unmeasured azure of his eyes pulling you towards him. Your body tries not to squirm just as his muscles relax a little and through Megumi's viewpoint, he can see the small touch of radiance in the swooping arcs of his smile that spreads into every part of him. When he opens his mouth to speak, the young boy can feel his smile extend through the lilt of his voice and the choices of words he uses when addressing you.
"Why do you always do that? Stare at Y/N like that?"
Megumi was nearly eight years old when he began to develop a concept of what a loving relationship between couples looks like after being taken in by Satoru and you and observing the way you two interact. The sweet glances as you're both holding hands and doing the little things for one another such as getting your coffee ready in the morning or draping a cozy blanket over the lanky man after passing out from exhaustion all contribute to his understanding of romance and love, even when he has to turn himself away when his mentor would purposely kiss you in front of him to make him uncomfortable.
Satoru breathes out a soft chuckle as he veers his attention to the pre-teenager and a wide grin spreads across his face because this is the first time Megumi expressed any real interest in his relationship. But he guesses that the young sorcerer is around the age where love interests and such are bound to happen so he decides to indulge him because he knows you're listening in on the conversation. "Well Megumi-chan, isn't it already obvious? It's because of how pretty she is and how lucky I am to be with her!"
There's nothing you could do about the blossoming smile on your face, and when Megumi turns to look at you there's a faint glow of happiness making itself home in your features because if there's one thing you know for certain about Gojo Satoru is that he's always honest with you and Megumi 一 sometimes to a fault. "Good answer. I was going to make you sleep on the couch if you gave a bad one."
"Heh? You know I'd never do anything to make you upset, sweetheart." When Satoru registers your warning gaze, his throat suddenly became dry and goosebumps prickled down the length of his spine as he sensed that you were about to recall the recent troubles he caused you. "...Or at least, not on purpose anyway. Ahem! Does it feel hot in here? Would you like something to drink, honey? I'll get you something to drink. How does a sparkling cherry-ade sound?"
"Sounds perfect, actually. Thank you, 'Toru."
"No problem, baby. And Megumi?"
"Just a glass of water."
"Gotcha, sport. Be back in a jiff."
With that said, your boyfriend saunters into the kitchen and begins pulling items from the pantry and refrigerator as he hums a gentle tune to fill the space. Between your fingers tapping on the keyboard of your laptop and returning to your thoughts about tomorrow's errands and dinner plans, you could feel Megumi's eyes weigh heavily on you as though he wants to say something. "Hm? What's up, Megumi?"
"How do you know? That Gojo-sensei is the one?" He was sincere about his question and you can see the curiosity brimming behind midnight blues, but for a split second the thought of Satoru putting him behind this did cross your mind because he has a penchant for hearing you say he's the absolute best significant other in the world and all the wonderful traits you love about him. As you lean back into your chair and carefully think about your response, the feeling of how indescribably happy he makes you was your biggest indicator.
"Everything is better with him around. If there's something I'm doing on my own, I'd wish that he was there to share the experience with me. My world just feels much brighter with him in it." You don't notice that Satoru's humming came to a halt so he could hear you say those words, and he had to pretend his heart hadn't swelled up three sizes too large when he enters back into the common area with a tray of cold beverages.
"Even when he can be a big idiot sometimes?" Megumi says, serious and nonchalant. Your soft laughter causes his stoic expression to lighten a moment as the corner of his mouth twitches upward and your hand reaches to ruffle the dark tendrils atop his head.
"Yes, even when he can be a big idiot sometimes."
"Hey now, I hope you two weren't just bad-mouthing me behind my back." Satoru strides in with scrunched-up brows and pouty lips, still adorned in his cute kitchen apron as he sets down the tray on the coffee table and distributes the drinks between the small crowd of three. You and Megumi like to play coy saying how you two wouldn't dream of it, but he understands it's just harmless jokes and teasings that even he participates in every now and again. When he goes to hand you your drink, there's a slight pause with a gentle brush of your fingertips against his and he lowers his head to place a tender kiss on top of your head before murmuring,
"Here you go, angel. And you know, if you ask me I find myself enjoying the small things too. Just because I was doing them with you."
Megumi knows that neither of you were perfect but it was abundantly clear that Satoru loved you deeply and you loved him back just as much. People can easily say things like "I love you" but from watching you both over the years and making a mutual effort for one another in every aspect of your relationship, he can see for himself what real love is supposed to look like. Comfortable, warm, and content with a touch of playfulness and sweet gestures for the little joys in life and gleams of sunshine. But most importantly, no matter what happens at least you have each other.

May's New Pet
May shuddered as she made eye contact with the snake. Well, once she realized it was there. Could it even see her?
'White Python' it's sticker read. And above it was a large sticker that said "Hello, my name is JACK", the last word scrawled in crude blue marker.
She'd gone through this same routine with "Jack" for about a month now. Shaun had suggested she adopt a pet and for weeks she'd come in through her local pet shop to browse. And while everything was cute, she always found herself in an intense staredown with the snake. It just looked so... out of place in comparison to all the furry little companions. Of course there were the options of lizards and spiders, but none were as imposing as Jack.
Maybe it was the ghostlike glow of his scales in the dark cage. Or the red patterns dotting around his face. There might've also been a bit of her religious upbringing warning her of the foreboding serpent that always seemed to make eye contact with her and her alone.
"Looks like Jack likes you." One of the employees would joke. Though May could always see the uneasiness in their body language when passing the animal.
She could understand. He was terrifying.
---
May tried to steady her breathing as she held out her hand to the snake. It's tongue zipped out a couple of times to catch her scent but otherwise it made no move.
"It's okay... it's okay." She whispered, more to herself than it.
Why did I even do this? What was there to prove?
It just kept... staring at her! She'd heard somewhere that staring down animals meant to challenge them. But she didn't get that vibe at all from Jack. It was more like a kid staring at you before saying something like they'd peed the bed or threw up.
Anticipation and then...exhaustion? Cripes, she wasn't making any sense.
May jolted upon feeling the cold scales creep up her arm. She looked down and Jack stopped slithering. Seems she'd zoned out while he did so...
She was almost amazed the thing had moved. And when it seemed to backtrack she protested.
"No, hey! It's...it's alright!" She said.
Another grating staredown later, Jack crept back up her arm, and with each inch he seemed to get bolder - no longer cautious. Almost... trusting?
May held back a shudder when he slid behind her neck and rested across her shoulders, wrapping himself around her like a necklace.
"Jeez... aren't you cozy?"
She heard a subtle hiss.
"You like it there?"
Another hiss.
She spent the rest of the day carrying him on her neck. There were times she held out her arms as a silent plea to slither off, but he preferred a place on her neck.
Jack was a clingy snake, but she could get used to that.
---
Idek man I just wanted to write a pet au. I heard snakes can't feel emotion, but they can be comfortable with their owners.
They scare the dickens out of me though.

Hazbin Hotel - Carmilla x Rosie - The Devil is a Part-Timer - Drabble
A Toasty Tangle
In the middle of the night, Carmilla was woken from her sleep by a suffocating heat. The oversized T-shirt, which had to serve as a substitute for a pyjama, stuck to her sweaty skin. Uncomfortably, she tried to toss and turn to find the cold side of her pillow, but her body seemed to be trapped under her sheets. The hard floor pressed through the thin mattress. She found it difficult to breathe, an unbearable pressure weighing down on her chest.
Carmilla blinked, her eyes slowly adjusting to the pitch darkness in their one-bedroom apartment, and the next moment she found the source of the insufferable heat and her insomnia. Carmilla's breath hitched and her cheeks crimsoned.
Rosie had migrated across the mattress in her fidgety sleep. She had pushed her own sheets away, half tangled in Carmilla's now and had lost her pillow over the abyss of the mattress, it was lying in the middle of the room. With her head buried between the valley of her breasts, Rosie now peacefully snored sprawled out on top of Carmilla. Her hands firmly clutched the fabric of her sleep shirt.
"Oh, God..." Carmilla muttered very flustered. Rosie's high body temperature and her sweet sight would surely turn her and her heart into a puddle...
Carefully, Carmilla tried to squirm out from under her without moving her body or disturbing her sleep too much.
"Hm..." groaned Rosie as she suddenly started to stir. Her fingers only clutched Carmilla's sleep shirt tighter as she buried her face deeper into Carmilla's chest in search of the comfort she was about to lose.
"You are too clingy, Rosie," Carmilla whispered with a soft chuckle as she stroked through Rosie's tousled hair. The sleepy sight of Rosie burnt itself into her brain.
"Yeah, because your body is too cozy..." mused Rosie drowsily, her voice slurred by sleep.
"But it's too hot," Carmilla complained. "You're too hot..."
Rosie, without opening her eyes, adopted Carmilla's words as a compliment. A slight smile curved her lips. "I know I'm hot... but thanks for noticing though, Milly."
Carmilla rolled her eyes. "No, I mean it literally. You're too hot. You're practically burning and your body is like a furnace... I can barely breathe and I'm convinced that sooner or later this night I'm going to suffer a heat stroke from your body temperature..."
"Hm... This sounds very much like a subjective problem," Rosie replied very sleepily. "I want to go back to sleep now, I need my beauty sleep."
Again Carmilla tried desperately to squirm out from under Rosie's burning body. "Something's wrong with your internal thermostat. Your body temperature is intolerable..."
Rosie finally managed to crack open one eye and squinted very spitefully at Carmilla. "You're really mean, Milly," she scolded with a pout, but then she sighed softly. "How about... a compromise? I'll let you get away and move back with a heavy heart to my lonely side of the mattress if you promise to hold my hand for the rest of the night..."
Carmilla quickly turned her head away to prevent Rosie from noticing the deep blush that was creeping into her cheeks and making her face surely glow bright in the darkness. "All right," she replied lightly as Rosie broke away from Carmilla to retrieve her pillow and straighten her sheets.
"I'm ready!" Rosie announced proudly as she covered herself up again and turned onto her side. She held out her hand to Carmilla in anticipation.
Carmilla gently reached for her hand and tenderly intertwined their fingers. Rosie's hands felt so warm and soft. Their palms didn't quite fit together, Carmilla's hands were a good deal bigger.
"Sleep well, Milly..." murmured Rosie. Within seconds, she had fallen back asleep with a satisfied smile on her lips, while Carmilla lay wide awake in the darkness, staring at Rosie with wide eyes. Her heart was hammering rapidly in her chest, her thumb tracing delicate patterns on the back of Rosie's hand.
Carmilla would certainly not get any more sleep tonight...

tough cookie
Tumblr media
The morning sun painted the room with a gentle glow as Rachel reluctantly peeled herself away from the warmth of the bed. Y/N, the reigning queen of late risers, remained nestled in the blankets, apparently lost in the blissful realm of dreams. A rare luxury of a late morning lay before them.
As Rachel tiptoed out of bed, she caught sight of Y/N, still wrapped up like a burrito. Suppressing a chuckle, she marveled at the sight. "You know, one day we should market this – 'Y/N's Burrito Blanket.' I bet it would make millions."
Y/N, feigning slumber, snorted softly. "You'd have to share the profits, Sleeping Beauty."
Rachel grinned and headed to the in-room coffee machine. "Well, of course. I'm just the brains behind the operation. You're the cute face that sells it."
Y/N peeked one eye open. "And what does that make you?"
"The coffee maker," Rachel declared proudly, pouring water into the machine. "My talents are endless, as you can see."
Y/N chuckled, "You truly are a woman of many talents."
As the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the room, Rachel decided it was the perfect backdrop for her morning sweet talk. "You know, Y/N, making coffee is an art. And speaking of art, you, my love, are a masterpiece."
Y/N snickered, "A masterpiece, huh? I thought I was a burrito."
Rachel winked, "You're a burrito of love. And your adorable sleeping face is my favorite masterpiece."
Y/N, who was well aware of Rachel's soft spot for her, teased, "Are you sure you're not just buttering me up because you need me to make breakfast?"
Rachel mock gasped, "How dare you! I'm expressing genuine love and affection here. Breakfast is just a bonus."
Y/N, grinning, whispered, "You sweet talker, you."
Unbeknownst to Rachel, Y/N was savoring every moment of the playful banter. It was a rare joy to witness the tough exterior of Rachel crumble into tender words and affection. "Well, I can't help it. You bring out the softie in me," Rachel admitted, a hint of shyness in her voice.
Y/N, with a sly smile, replied, "Oh, I know. It's my superpower – softening up the tough Zegler."
Rachel, blushing, served the coffee. "You better keep that superpower to yourself. I have an image to maintain."
Y/N laughed, taking a sip of the coffee. "Your secret's safe with me, tough stuff."
Unable to resist the allure of the cozy bed, Rachel snuggled back in with both cups of coffee. "You know, Y/N, this bed is like our little sanctuary. Just you, me, and the smell of fresh coffee."
Y/N, enjoying the warmth, grinned. "True, but don't think your sweet talk will distract me from the fact that you're avoiding making breakfast."
Rachel playfully rolled her eyes, "I'll have you know, Lucy Gray Baird doesn't make breakfast. She's too busy surviving in the Hunger Games."
Y/N raised an eyebrow, "Lucy Gray Baird? Seriously? You're comparing yourself to a character from The Hunger Games?"
Rachel, adopting a more serious tone, said, "Hey, Lucy Gray is tough, just like me."
Y/N burst into laughter, "Tough on the outside, marshmallow on the inside, more like it."
Rachel pouted, trying to regain her tough exterior. "Well, you better be careful. You might find yourself in a Hunger Games scenario if you keep mocking me."
Y/N giggled, "I'm not afraid. I have my secret weapon – your soft spot for me."
Rachel blushed again, "You're really enjoying this, aren't you?"
Y/N cupped Rachel's face and gave her a sweet kiss. "Absolutely. It's my favorite part of the morning – watching the tough Zegler melt into a puddle of adorableness."
Rachel, torn between embarrassment and amusement, playfully scowled. "You're impossible."
Y/N grinned, "And you love every second of it."
As they continued their playful banter, both eventually dragged themselves out of bed, exchanging the cozy warmth for sweatpants and hoodies. Rachel, the self-proclaimed tough cookie, took a moment to appreciate the comfort of the oversized hoodie.
Just as they were about to embark on a breakfast-making adventure, there was a knock on the door. Y/N raised an eyebrow, "Expecting someone?"
Rachel shook her head, "No clue. Probably room service with more coffee."
But as Rachel opened the door, they were greeted by none other than Hunter Schafer, Rachel's co-star from the upcoming movie. Hunter, known for her vibrant energy, entered with a cheerful grin. "Hey, Rachel! Hope I'm not interrupting."
Rachel shook her head, "Not at all. Y/N and I were just about to make breakfast, you're welcome to join."
Hunter's eyes sparkled, "Breakfast? Count me in!"
As the trio chatted and laughed, it became evident that Hunter was quick-witted and perceptive. She observed the dynamic between Rachel and Y/N, effortlessly joining in on the banter. She couldn't help but remark, "You know, Rachel, I always thought of you as this tough cookie, especially with all the nonsense people spewed about the Snow White casting. But here you are, melting into a puddle with Y/N."
Rachel blushed, "Well, you know, people can be idiots. But Y/N here knows how to bring out the soft side in me."
Hunter laughed, "She must have some magical powers then."
Y/N, ever the playful tease, chimed in, "Oh, she does. It's called love."
Rachel, feeling a tad jealous at the easy camaraderie between Hunter and Y/N, quickly toughened up. "Alright, enough of this. We have breakfast to make."
Y/N sensed Rachel's change in demeanor and playfully poked her side. "Someone's getting possessive."
Rachel huffed, "I am not."
Hunter, clueless to the brief tension, laughed. "You two are adorable. It's like watching a rom-com unfold in real life."
Rachel, feeling a bit flustered, focused on breakfast preparations. But Y/N, with a knowing smile, pulled her into a hug. "Hey, tough stuff, no need to worry. You're my one and only."
Rachel's expression softened, and she couldn't help but smile. "You always know how to bring me back, don't you?"
Y/N kissed her cheek, "It's a special talent."
As they settled down for breakfast, the room echoed with laughter, love, and the delightful blend of Rachel's tough exterior and Y/N's playful teasing. The day unfolded with conversations, relaxation, and the assurance that, no matter what, Rachel's soft spot belonged exclusively to Y/N.
However, as the day progressed, Hunter continued to playfully banter with Y/N, making Rachel's jealousy simmer just beneath the surface. At one point, Hunter jokingly said, "Y/N, if Rachel is Lucy Gray, does that make me your Finnick Odair?"
Y/N burst into laughter, "Oh, please, Hunter. You wish."
Rachel, feeling a twinge of discomfort, tried to laugh it off. "Yeah, Hunter, you might need a bit more charm to be Finnick."
Hunter raised an eyebrow, "Challenge accepted."
Y/N, sensing Rachel's unease, decided to play along. "Okay, but you'll never be as charming as Rachel."
Hunter chuckled, "True, true. Rachel, I bow down to your charm."
Rachel, trying to maintain composure, replied, "Well, someone has to keep up appearances around here."
Y/N shot a playful look at Rachel, "Jealous, tough cookie?"
Rachel, masking her true feelings with a smirk, said, "Jealousy is not in my vocabulary."
But as the banter continued, Y/N noticed a genuine unease in Rachel's eyes. Sensing her discomfort, Y/N decided to put an end to the teasing. "Alright, alright, enough of the Hunger Games comparisons. Let's not forget who the real winner is here."
Rachel, caught off guard by the shift in tone, looked at Y/N with a mixture of confusion and vulnerability.
Y/N smiled, taking Rachel's hand. "The real winner is the one who gets to spend each day with you, my tough, charming, and incredibly adorable Zegler."
Rachel's tough exterior melted away, replaced by a softness that only Y/N could bring out. "You always know how to make everything better, don't you?"
Y/N leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on Rachel's lips. "It's my superpower, remember? Softening up the tough Zegler."
Rachel chuckled, her heart now lightened. "Well, I'm grateful for that superpower."
As the day unfolded, the trio continued to enjoy each other's company, laughter replacing any lingering discomfort. The room buzzed with warmth, love, and the knowledge that no matter what playful banter unfolded, Rachel and Y/N's connection remained unshakable. The day became a testament to the strength of their bond, marked by affectionate teasing, genuine laughter, and the undeniable truth that, in the end, love always triumphs.
However, as Hunter continued her banter with Y/N, the playful flirtation began to take a turn that Rachel wasn't entirely comfortable with. Hunter's teasing became more overt, and she playfully leaned in closer to Y/N, causing Rachel to arch an eyebrow.
Hunter flashed a mischievous grin. "You know, Y/N, I think I've found the true star of this room."
Rachel, maintaining her snarky tone, replied, "Well, I am the Academy Award nominee here. No offense, Hunter."
Hunter laughed, "None taken, Rachel. But I was actually talking about the real leading lady – Y/N."
Y/N giggled, clearly enjoying the attention. Rachel, not one to back down, responded, "Oh, please. You're just jealous that my tough exterior intimidates you, Hunter."
Hunter, with a twinkle in her eye, shot back, "Intimidate? Nah, I thrive on challenge. I'm just appreciating the view."
Rachel, not missing a beat, retorted, "Well, this view is taken, so find another scenic route."
Y/N, loving the possessive side of Rachel, chimed in, "That's right, Hunter. I'm off the market, courtesy of this tough, charming, and incredibly adorable Zegler."
Hunter chuckled, "You two really are like a rom-com. But don't worry, Rachel, I'm just playing around."
Rachel, turning it into a show, quirked an eyebrow. "Oh, I'm not worried, Hunter. I know a show-stealer when I see one. But you're right – we are a bit of a rom-com, aren't we, Y/N?"
Y/N grinned, playing along, "Absolutely. And you, my tough cookie, are the leading lady in my heart."
Hunter, sensing the playful dynamic, leaned back, "Alright, I surrender. You two are the true stars here."
Rachel, putting on a theatrical sigh, declared, "Well, it's about time someone recognized it. Now, let's get back to enjoying our cozy day, shall we?"
But as the banter continued, Hunter's playful flirtation escalated. She began complimenting Y/N more overtly, even throwing in a wink or two. Rachel, who had been putting on a brave face, felt a growing unease. The room's playful atmosphere was starting to feel a bit too much like a stage, and Rachel wasn't sure she liked the script.
Hunter, grinning mischievously, said to Y/N, "You know, Y/N, you're not just a star. You're practically a constellation. I can see why Rachel here is so smitten."
Rachel, maintaining her snarky tone, quipped, "I'm not smitten. I just have good taste."
Y/N, sensing Rachel's discomfort, tried to steer the conversation back to safer ground. "Well, Hunter, I appreciate the compliments, but I think Rachel might start charging you for the entertainment."
Hunter, undeterred, shot back, "Oh, I'd pay top dollar for this show. It's better than anything on Netflix."
Rachel, feeling the heat rise, tried to maintain her composure. "You do realize you're talking about real people, right?"
Hunter chuckled, "Of course, Rachel. Just adding a bit of drama to our rom-com."
But the drama was getting a bit too real for Rachel. Y/N, ever perceptive, decided it was time to bring the curtain down on this particular scene. She put an arm around Rachel, giving her a reassuring squeeze.
"Alright, folks, let's not turn this into a soap opera," Y/N teased, looking at Rachel with affection. "Hunter, Rachel might play a tough character on screen, but she's a marshmallow in real life. And I'm the lucky one who gets to see it every day."
Rachel, grateful for the lifeline, gave Y/N a small smile. "Yeah, yeah, don't get used to it, though. I have a reputation to uphold."
Y/N playfully rolled her eyes, "Sure, tough cookie. Now, let's focus on something less dramatic – like what we're having for lunch."
As Hunter laughed and the trio shifted the conversation to lighter topics, Rachel couldn't help but feel a wave of gratitude for Y/N's understanding. Love may be a rom-com, complete with playful banter and humorous moments, but it also required moments of sincerity and reassurance. The day continued with more laughter, with Hunter now genuinely rooting for the couple, and the trio enjoyed the rest of their time together with a deeper understanding of each other's boundaries and the importance of keeping the love-filled atmosphere light and joyful.

Hi! Looking through your posts on Cozy Glow I see you use It/Its pronouns for it, can you elaborate on its gender identity?/Gen
Just curious!
i think xe uses any pronouns and is a nonbinary lesbian. i’m sure i could justify this take if i put my mind to it, but it’s mostly vibes based right now. i’ve held this opinion consistently, and ive made allusions to it, as well as reflecting it in the things i make about him, but i don’t think ive said it specifically before now.
i’d like to take this opportunity to clarify two other headcanons of mine. at least one of which would have prevented issues if i had laid it out in plain words. firstly, cozy glow spends ten years in stone before getting let out. secondly, she is adopted by trixie and starlight.

Third Person POV
On a typical Saturday afternoon, the rhythmic bounce of a basketball echoed through the quiet streets of Seoul as Junghyun and Ricky engaged in their favorite pastime. The neighborhood court, surrounded by high-rise buildings and adorned with graffiti, was their sacred ground for friendly competition and shared laughter.
Dribbling the ball with finesse, Junghyun glanced at Ricky, who was already in position, ready for the impending showdown. The sun cast a warm glow over their surroundings, creating a vibrant backdrop for the friendly match that was about to unfold.
"Ready to lose, Ricky?" Junghyun teased, a playful smirk playing on his lips.
Ricky chuckled in response, his competitive spirit igniting. "We'll see about that, my friend. Prepare for some dazzling moves you've never seen before."
The game unfolded with a symphony of squeaking sneakers and the occasional thud of the basketball hitting the asphalt. They moved in perfect harmony, a dance of athleticism and camaraderie that defined their friendship. Laughter and friendly banter filled the air as they traded baskets, each point celebrated as a small victory.
After an exhilarating match that left them both breathless, they decided to shift their attention to another shared passion — video games. The duo made their way to Junghyun's house, a cozy refuge nestled in the urban sprawl. Inside, the ambient glow of screens illuminated the room as they settled in for a gaming session.
Junghyun's gaming setup was nothing short of impressive, featuring high-tech consoles, comfortable chairs, and an array of games that promised hours of entertainment. With controllers in hand, they dove into the virtual worlds that awaited them, the digital realm becoming an extension of their shared adventures.
Whether they were exploring fantasy landscapes, engaging in epic battles, or strategizing their way through virtual challenges, Junghyun and Ricky were in their element. The walls of Junghyun's room echoed with their laughter, the bond of their friendship strengthening with each shared victory and defeat.
While Ricky was occupied in the bathroom, Junghyun couldn't help but feel a tinge of curiosity as he noticed Ricky's phone vibrating with an incoming call. Glancing at the screen, he saw the name "(Y/n)" accompanied by a picture of a cheerful and unfamiliar girl. The intrigue got the better of him, and instead of answering the call, Junghyun decided to wait for Ricky's return and satisfy his curiosity.
As the phone continued to ring, Junghyun couldn't help but wonder who the mystery caller was. Was it a new friend from school or someone from Ricky's extended family? The playful banter and laughter that often filled their hangouts suddenly felt replaced by an air of mystery.
When Ricky emerged from the bathroom, Junghyun seized the opportunity to quell his curiosity. With an arched eyebrow and a playful grin, he asked, "Hey, Ricky, who's (Y/n)? Got a secret admirer or something?"
Ricky, who had been unaware of the missed call, looked puzzled for a moment before realizing what Junghyun was referring to. A sheepish smile played on his lips as he scratched the back of his head. "Oh, that's just my little sister, (Y/n). She probably wanted to ask if I could grab something on the way home."
Junghyun's eyes widened in surprise, a mix of shock and amusement coloring his expression. "Wait, you have a sister? And she's the one calling you during our epic gaming sessions? Why didn't you introduce me to her before?"
Ricky chuckled at Junghyun's reaction. "Yeah, she's a year younger. I guess I forgot to mention her. Next time, I'll make sure you meet her. She's pretty cool, you know."
While Junghyun kept the discovery of Ricky's younger sister, (Y/n), to himself during their gaming session, he couldn't shake off the subtle intrigue her name had ignited. The image on Ricky's phone lingered in his mind — a snapshot capturing (Y/n)'s cheerful demeanor and radiant smile.
As they continued to play, Junghyun found himself stealing occasional glances at Ricky's phone, almost as if the image of (Y/n) had imprinted itself in his thoughts. He couldn't deny a sense of curiosity and perhaps a growing admiration for the girl he had never met.
Throughout the gaming session, Junghyun couldn't help but wonder what (Y/n) was like in person. Did her personality match the warmth he saw in the photo? The mystery surrounding Ricky's younger sister became an unspoken curiosity that lingered beneath the surface of their banter and gaming camaraderie.
Ricky entered his home, still buzzing with the excitement of the day's adventures with Junghyun. Little did he know that his earlier missed call from (Y/n) had consequences awaiting him. As he closed the door behind him, he was met with the sight of (Y/n) standing there, arms crossed, and a noticeable pout on her face.
"What took you so long to answer my call, Ricky?" (Y/n) asked, her tone a mix of annoyance and playful reproach.
Ricky, caught off guard by her unexpected presence and the accusation, fumbled for words. "Oh, hey (Y/n). I was probably in the middle of something. What's up?"
(Y/n)'s pout deepened as she explained, "I called because I wanted you to accompany me home from my friend's place. But since you didn't pick up, I had to come back all by myself."
Ricky's expression shifted from confusion to mild guilt as he realized the impact of his missed call. "Oh, I'm sorry about that. I was with Junghyun, and I guess I lost track of time. Didn't mean to leave you hanging."
(Y/n) sighed, her irritation softening into a smile. "It's okay, big brother. Just next time, try not to forget your responsibilities because you're too busy with your friend."
Ricky nodded, understanding the gentle scolding from his younger sister. "Yeah, you're right. I'll make it up to you, promise. How about we grab some snacks and catch up on what happened with you today?"
The mention of snacks immediately brightened (Y/n)'s mood, and she grinned. "Deal! But you owe me, Ricky. Big brothers should always be there for their little sisters, you know."
The playful banter between the siblings filled the air, and as they headed to the kitchen for their impromptu snack session, Ricky couldn't help but think about how the dynamics of his friendships and family were intricately interwoven. Little did he realize that this moment was just the beginning of a series of events that would bring together the worlds of basketball, video games, and sibling bonds in unexpected and delightful ways.
As Ricky and (Y/n) sat in the cozy kitchen, sharing snacks and catching up on the day's events, Ricky's memory was jogged by a promise he had made to Junghyun. With a grin, he turned to his younger sister.
"Hey, (Y/n), remember Junghyun, my friend I've told you about? The one I play basketball and video games with?"
(Y/n) nodded a curious glint in her eyes. "Yeah, I remember. What about him?"
"Well, he's been bugging me to introduce him to my awesome little sister," Ricky said with a teasing smile. "How about coming with me tomorrow to play basketball with us? It'll be fun!"
(Y/n)'s eyes lit up with excitement. The prospect of joining in on the basketball action intrigued her. "Really? That sounds like a blast! I'm in!"
Ricky chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Great! It'll be a chance for Junghyun to see the incredible skills of my little sis in action. Plus, I promised him he'd get to meet you."
The siblings continued to chat and plan for the upcoming basketball session. Ricky couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation, looking forward to the merging of two important aspects of his life – his best friend, Junghyun, and his beloved sister, (Y/n).
Little did they know that the next day would bring a convergence of shared passions, laughter, and the beginning of a new chapter in the trio's friendship. The basketball court, once a haven for just Ricky and Junghyun, was about to witness the inclusion of a new player, and the bonds of friendship would be strengthened even further on that sunny day in Seoul.
Junghyun had arrived early at the familiar basketball court, bouncing the basketball in rhythmic anticipation. The morning sun painted the court with a warm glow as he eagerly awaited Ricky's arrival. To his surprise, he noticed Ricky approaching with someone he hadn't expected, a shorter figure walking beside him.
As Ricky and (Y/n) drew closer, Junghyun's eyes widened in realization. The mystery girl was none other than Ricky's younger sister, (Y/n). A mix of surprise and delight spread across Junghyun's face as he greeted them.
"Hey, Ricky! Good morning," Junghyun called out, his voice laced with genuine excitement. "And who do we have here?"
Ricky grinned, exchanging a knowing glance with (Y/n). "Junghyun, meet my awesome little sister, (Y/n). (Y/n), this is Junghyun, the guy I've been telling you about."
(Y/n) waved with a friendly smile, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Nice to finally meet you, Junghyun! Ricky talks about you all the time."
Junghyun returned the greeting, still slightly taken aback by the unexpected but delightful surprise. "Likewise, (Y/n)! I didn't expect Ricky to bring anyone today. This is a pleasant surprise."
Ricky chuckled, enjoying Junghyun's reaction. "Surprises make life interesting, my friend. And what better way to spend the morning than with a game of basketball and the company of my two favorite people?"
The trio headed to the court, and as they warmed up, Junghyun couldn't help but appreciate the newfound energy that (Y/n) brought to their dynamic. The court, once a space exclusively shared by Ricky and Junghyun, now resonated with the laughter and banter of the inseparable trio.
The trio took their positions on the basketball court, the vibrant energy of the morning fueling their enthusiasm. Ricky and Junghyun, both tall and seasoned players, exchanged a knowing look, ready for their usual friendly competition. (Y/n), however, stood a bit uncertainly, a basketball in her hands, and a determined yet slightly apprehensive expression on her face.
Ricky, noticing (Y/n)'s hesitation, couldn't resist a teasing grin. "Don't worry, (Y/n), we'll go easy on you. Basketball is in our blood, after all."
Junghyun joined in with a chuckle, trying to ease any nerves. "Yeah, it's all in good fun. You'll get the hang of it!"
(Y/n) took a deep breath, nodding with determination. "Okay, I'll give it a shot. But fair warning, I've never really played basketball before."
The game began, and it didn't take long for (Y/n) to realize the stark difference in height and experience. Ricky and Junghyun effortlessly dribbled, passed, and shot the ball with precision, their movements fluid and practiced. (Y/n), on the other hand, found herself navigating the court with a mix of enthusiasm and a touch of clumsiness, her smaller stature posing a unique challenge.
(Y/n)'s playful pout deepened as her attempt at the basket fell short once again. Frustration and a hint of amusement danced in her eyes, unaware that Junghyun, observing from the sidelines, found her endearing with each missed shot.
Unable to resist the urge to lend a helping hand, Junghyun approached (Y/n) with a friendly smile. "Hey, (Y/n), mind if I give you a few tips? It's all in the wrist."
(Y/n) turned to him, grateful for the assistance. "Sure, Junghyun. I could use all the help I can get."
As Junghyun stood behind her, he gently adjusted her grip on the basketball, guiding her through the proper technique. The warmth of his presence and the shared focus on improving her shot created a moment of connection that wasn't lost on (Y/n). She couldn't help but notice the kindness in Junghyun's eyes and the genuine desire to help her improve.
With Junghyun's guidance, (Y/n) took a deep breath and attempted another shot. This time, the ball sailed through the air with a newfound trajectory, hitting the rim and bouncing off. While it wasn't a perfect shot, it was a marked improvement.
Junghyun grinned, encouraging her. "See, you're getting the hang of it! Just keep practicing, and soon you'll be sinking those shots like a pro."
As they continued their impromptu basketball lesson, (Y/n) couldn't help but steal glances at Junghyun. His genuine smile, the way he patiently helped her, and the subtle scent of his cologne created a combination that left an impression. (Y/n) found herself thinking that perhaps basketball wasn't the only thing she was discovering that day.
Ricky leaned against the basketball pole, a contemplative smile playing on his lips as he observed the interaction between Junghyun and (Y/n). While some brothers might be protective and cautious about their friends getting too close to their sisters, Ricky felt a sense of ease and trust when it came to Junghyun.
He watched as Junghyun patiently guided (Y/n), offering encouragement and friendly tips. Ricky couldn't help but appreciate the genuine connection between them. Junghyun's kindness and (Y/n)'s determination painted a scene that reassured Ricky, affirming the depth of their friendship and the trust he had in both of them.
It wasn't lost on Ricky that Junghyun was not just a friend; he was a trusted companion who shared in the joys and challenges of Ricky's life. Their bond ran deep, and Ricky knew that Junghyun respected the boundaries that mattered. As he witnessed the camaraderie on the basketball court, Ricky couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the harmony that existed between his best friend and his sister.
Later, as the trio continued their game, Ricky joined in on the fun, adding to the playful banter and laughter that echoed across the court. The dynamics of their friendship, now enriched by shared moments on and off the court, promised a future of enduring connections and the kind of bond that went beyond mere friendship.
In the heart of Seoul, amidst the bouncing basketballs and shared laughter, Ricky, Junghyun, and (Y/n) continued to weave the tapestry of their friendship—one shot, one smile, and one shared moment at a time.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow across the cityscape, the trio decided it was time to call it a day. The basketball court, once filled with the echoes of their laughter and the rhythmic thud of the ball, now settled into a tranquil evening.
With the court now behind them, (Y/n) chatted animatedly with Ricky as they walked home. Her excitement bubbled over as she recounted the day's adventures, the missed shots, the shared laughs, and the unexpected basketball lesson courtesy of Junghyun.
"I can't believe I never played basketball before! It was so much fun," (Y/n) exclaimed, her eyes shining with the residual joy of the day. "And Junghyun was really nice, too! Thanks for bringing me, Ricky."
Ricky smiled, appreciating his sister's enthusiasm. "Anytime, (Y/n). I'm glad you had fun. Junghyun seemed to enjoy it too."
(Y/n) nodded, a playful pout forming on her lips. "I wish he lived in our direction so he could walk us home more often. It's a little sad we have to say goodbye here."
Ricky chuckled at his sister's sentiment. "Well, we'll just have to plan more hangouts in the future. Maybe next time we can include video games at our place."
(Y/n)'s eyes lit up at the idea. "That sounds amazing! I can't wait!"
As they continued their walk, the city lights began to flicker to life, casting a gentle glow on the familiar streets of Seoul. The trio, bound by friendship and shared experiences, strolled home with hearts full of laughter and the promise of many more adventures to come.
The day may have come to an end, but the memories forged on the basketball court and the city streets were etched into the tapestry of their friendship, creating a mosaic of moments that would be cherished for years to come.
As the familiar Wednesday evening routine unfolded, Ricky and Junghyun found themselves immersed in the world of video games at Junghyun's place. The sound of controllers clicking and the glow of the screens provided a backdrop for their laughter and friendly banter.
In between rounds of intense gameplay, Junghyun couldn't help but let his curiosity get the better of him. He hesitated for a moment before finally deciding to ask Ricky about (Y/n), his interest evident in his voice.
"So, Ricky," Junghyun began casually, "how's (Y/n) doing? It seemed like she had a blast playing basketball the other day."
Ricky, engrossed in the game, looked up with a grin. "Yeah, she loved it. I think she's secretly practicing her shots when I'm not looking."
Junghyun chuckled, masking the subtle curiosity that lingered beneath the surface. "She's a quick learner. It was fun having her join us. Do you guys hang out often?"
Ricky shrugged, pausing the game for a moment. "Not as much as we'd like to, with school and everything. But we have our moments. She's pretty cool, isn't she?"
Junghyun nodded, offering a nonchalant response, "Yeah, definitely. I was just curious. You know, siblings can be a handful."
Ricky smirked, catching onto Junghyun's inquisitive tone. "You're curious about my sister, huh? Don't tell me you've got a little crush on her."
Junghyun's cheeks tinted slightly, and he stammered, "N-no, it's not like that. I was just making conversation."
Ricky laughed, playfully nudging his friend. "Relax, man. (Y/n)'s a great sister. Just don't go stealing her away from me, alright?"
Junghyun chuckled nervously, the teasing banter concealing the subtle hints of curiosity and admiration that lingered in the air. As the video game session continued, Junghyun couldn't shake the feeling that his feelings were becoming more than just friendly curiosity. Little did he know, the trio's interactions were gradually evolving, and the threads of their friendship were weaving a story that went beyond the confines of school, basketball courts, and video game sessions.
As the evening unfolded, the seed of curiosity that Junghyun had planted in his own mind continued to grow. The idea of having a crush on (Y/n) lingered in his thoughts, and he found himself reflecting on the implications of such feelings.
The internal debate raged on. On one hand, Junghyun acknowledged the genuine connection he felt with (Y/n) and the undeniable attraction he sensed. She was cute, fun, and had a unique charm that drew him in. On the other hand, the ethical considerations weighed heavily on his mind. Ricky was not just a friend; he was Junghyun's best friend.
The internal struggle led Junghyun to question whether pursuing any romantic interest in (Y/n) would jeopardize his friendship with Ricky. Loyalty to his best friend was a priority, and Junghyun didn't want to compromise their bond over personal feelings.
As the evening of video games continued, Junghyun tried to push these thoughts to the back of his mind. He focused on enjoying the present moment, the camaraderie with Ricky, and the shared laughter that had defined their friendship. Yet, every now and then, a glance or a shared joke with (Y/n) would reignite the internal dilemma.
The realization that he might be developing feelings for Ricky's sister brought a mix of excitement and anxiety. Should he discuss it with Ricky? Would it jeopardize their friendship? These questions lingered, leaving Junghyun in a state of uncertainty.
The complexities of navigating feelings within the confines of friendship and unspoken boundaries added a layer of complexity to the trio's dynamic. Little did Junghyun know that the days ahead would offer opportunities for self-discovery and the exploration of emotions that would shape the course of their evolving friendship.
The mall was bustling with activity as Ricky and Junghyun strolled through the aisles of clothing stores. Ricky, with his keen eye for fashion, couldn't resist the allure of the latest trends, and Junghyun found himself once again swept up in his best friend's enthusiasm for shopping.
"I'm telling you, Junghyun, the right outfit can change your whole vibe," Ricky declared, holding up a stylish jacket. "You should try something new today!"
Junghyun chuckled, glancing at the jacket in Ricky's hand. "You know I'm not as into fashion as you are, Ricky. But hey, if you find something cool, maybe I'll give it a shot."
As they explored the mall, the dynamic duo moved seamlessly between stores, Ricky offering fashion advice and Junghyun occasionally picking out items that caught his eye. The banter and laughter echoed through the mall, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and shared moments.
As they browsed through racks of clothes, Junghyun couldn't help but notice that Ricky seemed extra energized today. His excitement wasn't just about the clothes; it was the shared experience of shopping, trying on different styles, and enjoying each other's company.
In the midst of their shopping spree, Ricky spotted a display of accessories and dragged Junghyun toward it. "Accessories can make or break an outfit, my friend. Let's find something to spice up your look!"
Amidst the colorful array of hats, scarves, and bracelets, Junghyun found himself getting into the spirit of the shopping adventure. Ricky's infectious enthusiasm had a way of turning even the most mundane tasks into memorable experiences.
As they continued their exploration of the mall, Ricky's phone buzzed with a message. It was (Y/n), expressing her regret that she couldn't join them on this shopping escapade. Ricky chuckled, sharing the message with Junghyun.
"(Y/n) says she's missing out on the fashion show today. We'll have to bring her next time," Ricky said with a grin.
Junghyun agreed, feeling a subtle sense of reassurance. The trio's friendship, whether it was shooting hoops, playing video games, or even shopping for clothes, continued to evolve, weaving a tapestry of shared experiences and unspoken connections.
The ambiance of the cozy café was interrupted by the buzzing of Ricky's phone. Junghyun, left alone at the table as Ricky went to the counter to get their drinks, saw (Y/n)'s name flashing on the screen. Out of habit, he picked up the call, not realizing that (Y/n) hadn't expected anyone else to answer.
"Hello?" Junghyun greeted, expecting a casual conversation.
On the other end of the line, (Y/n)'s voice trembled as she spoke. "Ricky, is that you?"
Junghyun furrowed his brow, sensing the distress in her tone. "Uh, no, it's Junghyun. Ricky's getting our drinks. What's up?"
There was a brief pause, and then (Y/n) sniffled before speaking. "Oh, I didn't realize. Um, can you tell Ricky to come pick me up? I'm at the park, and I don't feel very well."
Concern crept into Junghyun's expression as he processed (Y/n)'s words. "Of course, (Y/n). Are you okay? What happened?"
(Y/n) hesitated, her voice wavering. "I think I ate something that didn't agree with me. I'm feeling nauseous, and I really don't want to walk home alone."
Junghyun's protective instincts kicked in, and he reassured her, "Don't worry. I'll let Ricky know, and he'll come get you. Just hang in there, okay?"
(Y/n) expressed her gratitude before hanging up, leaving Junghyun with a mix of concern and the responsibility to convey the message to Ricky. As Ricky returned with the drinks, Junghyun couldn't hide the urgency in his expression.
"Hey, Ricky, (Y/n) called. She's not feeling well and asked if you could come pick her up at the park. Something about not feeling great after eating," Junghyun explained quickly.
Ricky's eyes widened, and he grabbed his phone. "Oh no, I'll head over right away." “I’ll come with you,” Junghyun said.
Upon reaching the park, Ricky and Junghyun spotted (Y/n) sitting alone under a tree, tears streaming down her face. The sight of her torn shirt and the sticky drink covering her sparked a mix of anger and concern in Ricky's eyes. Without needing an explanation, he understood that (Y/n) had been subjected to bullying by the girls she had hung out with.
Ricky rushed to her side, his protective instincts taking over. "Hey, (Y/n), what happened? Are you okay?"
(Y/n) looked up, her tear-stained face revealing the distress she was in. She tried to compose herself as Ricky and Junghyun approached, but the pain in her eyes was undeniable.
"They... they were mean," (Y/n) stammered, her voice quivering. "They ripped my shirt, poured this drink on me, and laughed. I thought things would be different here."
Ricky's expression darkened with a mix of anger and empathy. He gently placed a hand on (Y/n)'s shoulder, offering comfort. "I'm so sorry, (Y/n). No one should treat you like that. We're here for you."
Junghyun, witnessing the heartbreaking scene, clenched his fists, a silent fury burning in his eyes. The trio, usually bound by laughter and shared adventures, now faced a harsh reality – the cruelty of bullying and the pain it inflicted on someone they cared about.
Ricky helped (Y/n) stand, his protective stance clear to anyone who dared to harm his sister. "Let's get you home, okay? We've got your back."
As they walked away from the park, Ricky casting a stern glance at anyone who dared to stare, Junghyun silently vowed to support (Y/n) in any way he could. The incident cast a shadow over their evening, but it also illuminated the strength of their friendship and the unwavering support they offered each other in times of adversity.
In the quiet of the living room, Ricky and Junghyun sat side by side, their expressions reflecting the shared concern for (Y/n). Ricky's gaze was heavy with worry, and Junghyun's face bore the weight of understanding the gravity of the situation.
Ricky took a deep breath before speaking, the weight of his words hanging in the air. "This isn't the first time (Y/n) has dealt with bullying. It's one of the reasons we moved here in the first place – to give her a fresh start, away from all that negativity."
Junghyun nodded, absorbing the information. The revelation deepened his understanding of (Y/n)'s experiences and the challenges she faced. "I had no idea. She seemed so cheerful and lively."
Ricky sighed, his concern evident. "Yeah, she tries to keep a positive front, but she's been through a lot. It's been tough for her to trust people and make friends. Today was a setback, and I hate seeing her go through it again."
The weight of (Y/n)'s past experiences and the recent incident hung in the air, creating a somber atmosphere in the room. Junghyun felt a surge of determination, a commitment to be there for (Y/n) and support her in overcoming the challenges she faced.
"We'll be here for her," Junghyun asserted, his tone resolute. "She doesn't have to go through this alone. We'll make sure she feels safe and supported."
Ricky looked at Junghyun with gratitude, appreciating the solidarity his best friend offered. "Thanks, man. I knew I could count on you. She needs all the friends she can get."
As (Y/n) emerged from the shower, her demeanor subdued but determined, Ricky and Junghyun greeted her with reassuring smiles.
As the trio gathered in the living room, the subdued atmosphere slowly gave way to a more comfortable silence. Junghyun, sensing the need to shift the mood, decided to engage in conversation.
"Hey, (Y/n), which school do you go to?" Junghyun asked, realizing that he hadn't seen her at the school he attended.
(Y/n) looked up, offering a small smile. "I go to a different school, not the one Ricky and you go to. It's closer to home."
Junghyun nodded in understanding. "Ah, that makes sense. No wonder I haven't run into you at our school. How do you like it there?"
(Y/n) shrugged, her expression thoughtful. "It's okay. I've been trying to make friends, but it's not as easy as I thought."
Junghyun empathized with her struggle, recalling the earlier conversation about (Y/n)'s past experiences with bullying. "Yeah, making friends can be tough, but I'm sure you'll find your people. And hey, you've got us now, right?"
Ricky chimed in, reinforcing Junghyun's words. "Absolutely. We've got your back, (Y/n). You don't have to go through this alone."
(Y/n) smiled appreciatively at both of them. "Thanks, guys. It means a lot. I'm lucky to have you as friends."
The trio, strengthened by their shared understanding and the bonds of friendship that continued to deepen, settled into a more relaxed atmosphere. The conversation shifted to lighter topics, and the living room echoed with laughter once again.
The atmosphere at home shifted after Junghyun had left. The weight of the recent events lingered in the air, and (Y/n)'s mother, sensing the change, observed her children closely. As the evening settled in, (Y/n) hesitated for a moment before broaching a significant request.
"Mom, do you think I could transfer to Ricky's school?" (Y/n) asked, her eyes earnest.
Their mother looked at Ricky, her expression thoughtful. The unspoken understanding passed between mother and son, a silent acknowledgment of the struggles (Y/n) had faced once again. Ricky's gaze, filled with concern, met his mother's.
(Y/n)'s mother sighed softly before responding, "Sweetheart, is everything okay at your current school?"
(Y/n) hesitated before nodding. "Yeah, it's just... I thought it would be different, but I've been having a hard time making friends, and today, well..."
Ricky interjected, not wanting (Y/n) to bear the burden alone. "She was bullied, Mom. Again."
Their mother's eyes softened with empathy. "Oh, (Y/n), I'm so sorry. We'll figure this out. And if transferring to Ricky's school is what you want, we'll make it happen."
(Y/n) sighed with relief, grateful for the support. "Thanks, Mom. I just want to be closer to you and Ricky, and Junghyun too. They're my real friends."
Ricky nodded in agreement, the protective older brother in him surfacing. "We'll make sure you're safe, (Y/n). No one messes with my sister."
As the evening unfolded, plans were set into motion for (Y/n)'s transfer to Ricky's school. Their mother, determined to create an environment where her children felt safe and supported, made the necessary arrangements. The trio, now facing the challenges of school and friendship with renewed determination, found solace in the knowledge that they had each other's backs.
As (Y/n) walked alongside Ricky on that Monday morning to her new school, a mix of nervousness and anticipation gripped her. The recent events had left a mark, and the fear of facing potential bullying once again lingered in her thoughts. However, the comforting presence of Ricky beside her reassured her to some extent.
Ricky, sensing his sister's apprehension, offered a reassuring smile. "You'll do great, (Y/n). Just be yourself, and don't worry too much. Junghyun and I are here for you."
(Y/n) nodded, appreciating Ricky's support. "I know, but what if people here are just like the ones at my old school?"
Ricky gently squeezed her shoulder. "We'll face that together, (Y/n). But remember, not everyone is the same. You might find some amazing friends here too."
As they entered the school premises, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and anxiety. The bustling hallways, unfamiliar faces, and the chatter of students created a whirlwind of emotions. Ricky walked her to her first class, offering a reassuring smile before heading to his own.
As (Y/n) stepped into her first class, a wave of relief washed over her when she spotted Junghyun sitting among the other students. The joy of having a familiar face in the classroom lifted her spirits, dispelling some of the nervous energy that had accompanied her.
A mix of happiness and apprehension filled her as she noticed Junghyun sitting with a group of boys. Not wanting to interrupt their conversation, she hesitated, deciding to find an empty seat nearby.
However, Junghyun, ever perceptive, immediately noticed (Y/n) entering the classroom. Without missing a beat, he exclaimed her name with genuine excitement, his voice echoing through the room. "Hey, (Y/n)! Over here!"
The attention turned toward her, and a warm smile spread across Junghyun's face as he gestured for her to join their group. The other boys welcomed her with friendly nods and smiles, making (Y/n) feel instantly at ease.
Relieved and overjoyed, (Y/n) quickly moved to the desk beside Junghyun, gratitude shining in her eyes. "Hey, Junghyun! I'm so glad you're in my class. I didn't expect it."
Junghyun chuckled, his warmth evident. "I was hoping we'd end up in the same class too. Now, you won't be alone. We've got this!"
As the teacher started the class, (Y/n) felt a newfound sense of belonging. The worries about being alone dissipated, replaced by the comfort of having Junghyun by her side. The group of friends around her welcomed her into their circle, and the classroom became a space where shared laughter and camaraderie thrived.
In that moment, (Y/n) realized that even in a new school, surrounded by unfamiliar faces, the presence of true friends like Junghyun made all the difference. The journey through the halls of their shared school had just become a bit brighter, and the trio's bond continued to flourish in the heart of Seoul.
As the weeks unfolded, the trio's bond deepened, and (Y/n) and Junghyun found themselves growing closer in a way that went beyond friendship. The shared moments of laughter, the camaraderie on the basketball court, and the genuine connection they shared fostered a special connection between them. However, unspoken feelings lingered beneath the surface, creating a delicate dance of emotions.
Both (Y/n) and Junghyun harbored feelings for each other, but a shared understanding prevailed – they didn't want to complicate their friendship with Ricky. The unspoken agreement hung in the air, a mutual decision to prioritize the harmony of the trio over individual romantic pursuits.
The basketball court became a haven for the three friends, a place where the rhythm of the game echoed the unspoken emotions between (Y/n) and Junghyun. With each dribble, pass, and shared victory, the unspoken connection between them continued to grow. (Y/n) improved her skills with every game, encouraged by the supportive atmosphere that surrounded her.
The trio's shared experiences created a tapestry of memories that bound them together. Whether it was the thrill of a close game, the excitement of a well-executed play, or the shared joy of a victory, the basketball court became a sanctuary where their friendship thrived.
Yet, beneath the surface, the complexity of unspoken feelings added a layer of tension to their interactions. (Y/n) and Junghyun navigated the delicate balance of growing closer while respecting the unspoken boundaries that protected their friendship with Ricky.
Ricky, keenly observant of the dynamics between his sister and his best friend, couldn't help but find amusement in the unspoken tension that hung in the air. The stolen glances, the shared smiles, and the subtle gestures didn't escape his notice. It was clear to him that (Y/n) and Junghyun were harboring feelings for each other, a truth that seemed almost comically obvious.
In private moments, when the trio gathered to play basketball or share laughs, Ricky couldn't help but notice the lingering looks exchanged between (Y/n) and Junghyun. The unspoken connection was palpable, creating a dynamic that added a layer of complexity to their friendship.
While Ricky found their reluctance to address their feelings endearing, he also sensed the unspoken reason behind their hesitance – the fear of putting him in an awkward position. Their consideration for his feelings touched him, and he appreciated the unspoken pact they seemed to have formed to maintain the harmony of their friendship.
With a mischievous glint in his eye, Ricky decided to playfully address the elephant in the room during one of their basketball sessions.
"Hey, you two lovebirds, is there something you're not telling me?" Ricky teased, a playful smirk on his face.
(Y/n) and Junghyun exchanged glances, their cheeks tinted with a subtle blush. Ricky's comment had hit the mark, unraveling the unspoken tension in the air.
(Y/n) chuckled nervously, "What are you talking about, Ricky? We're just friends."
Junghyun nodded in agreement, though his eyes betrayed a hint of something more. "Yeah, just friends. Nothing to worry about, Ricky."
Ricky couldn't contain his laughter at (Y/n) and Junghyun's somewhat awkward attempts to brush off his playful inquiry. Their blushes and stammered responses only fueled his amusement.
"Come on, guys, you're terrible at hiding it. I thought you had a crush on each other or something," Ricky teased, his grin widening.
(Y/n) nervously laughed, attempting to deflect the conversation. "Crush? Pfft, no way. Junghyun and I are just really good friends, right, Junghyun?"
Junghyun, still sporting a faint blush, nodded in agreement. "Exactly, just friends. No crushes here."
Ricky continued to chuckle, enjoying the banter. "Alright, if you say so. But if I catch you two writing each other love letters or something, I won't be surprised."
As the trio took a break from their intense basketball game, (Y/n) found herself drawn to a quiet moment of reflection. Seated on the sidelines, her gaze inadvertently drifted towards Junghyun. Lost in thought, she couldn't help but admire his athleticism, the way he effortlessly soared across the basketball court, the genuine kindness that emanated from him, and the handsome features that seemed to light up the space around him.
Unbeknownst to her, Junghyun noticed the subtle admiration in (Y/n)'s eyes. His playful nature took over, and he decided to approach her with a teasing grin.
"Admiring my basketball skills, (Y/n)?" Junghyun quipped, a twinkle in his eye as he joined her on the sidelines.
Caught off guard, (Y/n) blushed, realizing she had been caught in a moment of silent admiration. "Oh, um, I was just... you know, thinking about how you look like a pro out there."
Junghyun chuckled, appreciating the compliment. "Well, you're not too shabby yourself, especially considering you've improved so much. Maybe I should take some notes from you."
(Y/n) smiled at the banter, feeling a playful energy in the air. "Oh, please. You're the real basketball star here. I'm just trying to keep up."
Ricky, ever the mischievous older brother, couldn't resist the opportunity to play matchmaker. Observing (Y/n) and Junghyun standing close together during the break, he hatched a plan to nudge them even closer. As he casually strolled over to grab a water bottle, he decided to add a playful twist to the situation.
With a sly grin, Ricky pretended to trip just a little, using the moment to give Junghyun a gentle push forward. The unsuspecting Junghyun stumbled forward, and (Y/n), quick on her feet, instinctively reached out to help stabilize the tall boy.
"Oops, my bad!" Ricky exclaimed, feigning innocence as he grinned mischievously.
Junghyun, catching his balance, shot Ricky a knowing look, realizing he had just been subtly pushed toward (Y/n). Meanwhile, (Y/n) blushed at the unexpected closeness but continued to play along with a sheepish smile.
Ricky, seizing the opportunity, teased, "Careful there, Junghyun! Looks like you're getting a bit wobbly on your feet. Luckily, (Y/n) was here to save the day."
Caught in the orchestrated closeness by Ricky's playful intervention, Junghyun found himself looking down into (Y/n)'s eyes, the proximity between them more palpable than ever. The realization of just how close they were sent a subtle thrill through both of their hearts.
In that shared moment, the unspoken connection between Junghyun and (Y/n) seemed to intensify. His gaze lingered on her, and he couldn't help but notice the delicate proximity between their faces. The realization that if he leaned in just a little, their noses would touch created a fluttering sensation in his chest.
(Y/n), equally aware of the closeness, felt her heart skip a beat. The air around them seemed to crackle with an unspoken energy, and the shared laughter from Ricky's playful intervention faded into the background.
Ricky's playful teasing hung in the air as he asked if another push was necessary or if they would take matters into their own hands. With a lighthearted chuckle, he excused himself, heading off to buy snacks and leaving Junghyun and (Y/n) alone on the basketball court.
As the sounds of the bustling city surrounded them, Junghyun, emboldened by Ricky's jest and a sudden surge of confidence, found himself captivated by the proximity between him and (Y/n). His gaze flickered between her eyes and her lips, a silent invitation lingering in the air.
(Y/n), her heart racing with a mixture of anticipation and uncertainty, met Junghyun's eyes. The unspoken tension between them seemed to amplify, creating a charged atmosphere.
Seizing the moment, Junghyun leaned down, closing the distance between them. His lips hovered just above (Y/n)'s, the unspoken question echoing in the air.
In that suspended moment, time seemed to slow, the vibrant city sounds fading into the background. The basketball court, once a playground for shared laughter and playful banter, became the canvas for an unspoken chapter in the evolving story of (Y/n), Junghyun, and the delicate dance of their emotions.
As Junghyun's lips finally met (Y/n)'s in a gentle kiss, the echoes of friendship transformed into the beginning of something more profound. The unspoken connection that had been weaving its threads through the trio's journey finally found expression in the shared sweetness of that unexpected kiss, setting the stage for a new chapter in the heart of Seoul.
In the aftermath of the unexpected kiss, Junghyun and (Y/n) took a step back from each other, their eyes reflecting a mix of emotions. The basketball court, once a witness to their playful camaraderie, now became the backdrop for a more profound conversation about their feelings.
(Y/n) broke the momentary silence, her voice gentle but filled with curiosity, "Junghyun, I... I didn't expect that. What does this mean for us?"
Junghyun, still caught in the warmth of the shared moment, met (Y/n)'s gaze. A soft smile played on his lips as he spoke, "I've liked you for a while now, (Y/n). I was just afraid of making things complicated with Ricky. But after that kiss, I think it's time we talk about what this means for us."
(Y/n) nodded, her heart echoing the sentiment. "I like you too, Junghyun, but I don't want to jeopardize our friendship with Ricky. We need to be careful about this."
Junghyun agreed, a seriousness settling in. "I understand, (Y/n). Our friendship with Ricky is important, and I don't want to hurt him. We'll navigate this together, taking it slow and being mindful of everyone's feelings."
Ricky returned from his snack run, a mischievous grin on his face as he took in the scene before him. The shared laughter and the atmosphere of the basketball court seemed to have a new energy, and he couldn't help but tease the two.
"Did I miss something important here?" Ricky chuckled, his eyebrows raised suggestively. "You guys seem to be in deep conversation. Anything you'd like to share?"
Junghyun and (Y/n) exchanged a knowing glance, their smiles giving away the newfound understanding between them. (Y/n) playfully nudged Ricky, a hint of a blush coloring her cheeks. "Maybe you should have stayed a bit longer. You might have witnessed something interesting."
Ricky laughed, catching on to the playful vibe. "Oh, did you guys finally kiss or something?"
The lovebirds shared a glance before nodding, unable to suppress their smiles. Ricky's eyes widened in mock surprise. "Well, well, well! Took you guys long enough! How was it? Did sparks fly? Or was it more like fireworks?"
With the playful banter lingering in the air, Junghyun took a moment to address the more serious side of their evolving dynamics. Looking at Ricky, he asked, "Hey, Ricky, would you be okay with (Y/n) and me dating?"
Ricky, still in good spirits, nodded with a smile. "Of course! I mean, it was bound to happen sooner or later. You guys make a cute couple."
However, he couldn't resist adding a touch of humor to his response. "But just so we're clear, if you hurt my sister, I reserve the right to hurt you back. Got it?"
The trio burst into laughter, the playful threat spoken with a camaraderie that underscored their close bond. Junghyun, though teased by Ricky's words, appreciated the underlying protective nature of his friend.
Junghyun raised his hands in a mock surrender, "Deal. I promise to treat (Y/n) with the utmost care. No hurting involved."
(Y/n), enjoying the lighthearted exchange, joined in, "I appreciate the brotherly concern, Ricky. But I think we'll be just fine."
With the understanding clear and the joking threats subsided, the trio continued to enjoy their snacks, basking in the warmth of their friendship. The basketball court, now a place of shared laughter, love, and understanding, marked the beginning of a new chapter for (Y/n), Junghyun, and Ricky in the bustling city of Seoul.
(Y/n)'s transfer to Ricky's school marked a turning point in her life. With Ricky and Junghyun by her side, the bullying that had plagued her in the past became a distant memory. The duo made it a point to protect her, creating a tight-knit circle of friends that expanded to include (Y/n) in their vibrant dynamic.
Ricky and Junghyun opened up their friend group, introducing (Y/n) to their circle, and she quickly became a beloved member. Their friends took an instant liking to her, drawn to the warmth and positivity that she brought to the group.
Walking through the halls hand in hand with Junghyun, (Y/n) felt a newfound happiness. The support of her friends, the protective nature of her brother, and the deepening connection with Junghyun created a sense of security and belonging that she had longed for.
As they navigated the corridors together, (Y/n) and Junghyun became a familiar sight, their intertwined fingers symbolizing not just a romantic connection but a bond that had overcome challenges and flourished in the face of adversity.
The vibrant energy of the city outside mirrored the newfound joy in (Y/n)'s life. The trio, once defined by unspoken glances and secret feelings, had transformed into a resilient friendship and a blossoming romance, creating a shared journey through the bustling streets of Seoul that was filled with laughter, love, and a sense of belonging.
Junghyun's devotion to (Y/n)'s happiness became a central theme in their evolving relationship. He took on the role of not just a boyfriend but a constant source of joy and support for her. Teaching her to play basketball became a shared passion, turning the court into a canvas where they painted memories together.
Beyond basketball, Junghyun embraced various ways to make (Y/n) happy. He danced around with her, creating moments filled with laughter and shared joy. His musical talents came to the forefront as he sang and rapped for her, each performance a personalized expression of his affection.
Their time together was a symphony of shared interests, laughter, and the unspoken understanding that they were building something beautiful. Junghyun cherished every moment, and (Y/n) found solace and happiness in the genuine connection they shared.
The gratitude towards Ricky lingered in their hearts, acknowledging his role as the playful matchmaker who gave them that final push into a relationship that blossomed into something truly special.
As they continued to navigate the bustling streets of Seoul hand in hand, (Y/n) and Junghyun's love story unfolded with each passing day, a melody of shared moments and unspoken affection that echoed through the vibrant cityscape.

Hanukaah Feast Day
*
"So you are the tall and handsome Santa with the big heart?"
Timmy's grandma looks at him attentively and amused.
Armie laughs sheepishly. He doesn't really know how he got into this situation.
She pats his hand. „Don't have to answer, my love. I see everything already there."
Armie has way too many feelings inside of him to even say anything.
All evening, in fact. It's all so warm and cozy at this little Hanukaah feast, and if he's honest, it's just like he used to wish as a child he'd be adopted by such a warm hearted and kind family.
"Is this your first Hanukaah party?" asks Timmy's grandma.
Armie shakes his head. "No…"
No.
And he doesn't know why, because after all, he just met Timmy's grandma, but maybe it's the sentiment that makes him do it, or the warm and cordial nature of Timmy's grandma, because he starts talking.
About his Jewish roots. About his family. About his mother. Especially about his mother. About her views. Her manic views. How he always felt, even as a child, that he didn't share her views, even though she was his mother. How he could never approve of his grandfather having to convert. How he always felt he didn't belong there. And had to get out.
And yet you always remain part of your family, don’t you? You cannot escape. Or only to a certain extent. Because when you flee, you also flee from yourself. From what you are. It's inside of you. You are your parents. You have their genes, you have absorbed this life because there was no alternative... How can you be right then? When you have everything of this inside you? How can you love if you have never learned?
Armie closes his eyes for a moment. He feels a little ashamed that he has talked so much. He doesn’t even know what he wants to say.
He feels Timmy's grandma's hand on his hand again. As he looks at her, he sees warmth and kindness.
Isn't he completely wrong here? In a place that exudes so much safety?
"I'm glad you are here," she says. "You are a fine and noble man."
Armie has to close his eyes again and shakes his head slightly.
"I'm not, that's the problem. I'm not a good person. I can't be..."
Timmy's grandma looks at him almost amused.
"Look over there at Timmy. See how he is glowing? That's you. Do you think people without a warm and kind heart can do that? You are not your parents. Let the past be past for a while. It doesn't matter right now. It will be resolved when the time comes."
Armie wishes so much that this more than lovely lady is right. He's just not quite there yet to believe it.
"You know what Timmy said to me? Two weeks ago?,“ Timmy’s grandma continues, „Timmy said to me, `Grandma, if I find someone really nice but he is also really attractive, how can I find out if it's not just the attractiveness I'm falling for... if my mind isn't just playing tricks on me because I want him in my bed?'“
Armie almost chokes, but Timmy's grandma just grins.
"Yes, don't look so shocked, he can talk to me about anything. And he does! Well, anyway, I said, `Give it time`. And he said, `But I don't have time!` And I said, `Well, then you will never know. Step back, and take a look, give it time.`" Timmy's grandma smiles cheekily, "So how did that go?"
*
Later, when it's late and Armie is leaving, Timmy walks with him out the door.
"Thanks for coming," Timmy says with a warm smile as his hands play with the sleeve hems of his sweater. "I hope you weren't bored or anything."
Armie has to laugh softly.
"Stop beating up on your family. They're absolutely lovely. I had a wonderful evening."
"Okay..." A little nervous, playful and absolutely adorable, Timmy wobbles slightly on his feet. "I'll see you tomorrow then? Last week! We almost made it, huh?"
And Armie can't hold back any longer. It may not be the right place here, but he doesn't want to do anything else in the world and can't stand it a second longer. He is still scared as hell. That he isn't able to give Timmy what he deserves. Because he doesn't know how to do this. But he wants to try. Man, he wants to try.
So he leans forward and puts his lips on Timmy's.
For a second, the world stands still.
Then every nerve in Armie's body begins to tingle.
And Armie puts his hands around Timmy's face and kisses him.
Tenderly and gently.
And it's like nothing Armie has experienced before.
How can that be? That kissing suddenly feels so spectacularly different, that it also feels so much different than when he first kissed Timmy.
That his whole body seems to dissolve, and he's just made up of feelings of happiness swirling around him. And the way Timmy kisses him back, so eagerly and sweet ...
"Who left the door wide open?" comes an instructive sound from inside. "It's cold!"
Timmy immediately lets go of Armie, giggling, Timmy's mother sticks her head out the door, Timmy buries his hands in his pockets in embarrassment, and brings out a quiet "Sorry, mum!"
"Ooohh,“ his mother absorbs for a second before she quickly retreats back into the apartment with a cheerful „Don't mind me!" and leans the door.
Timmy laughs, Armie laughs even louder.
And then he suddenly has Timmy's lips on his again.
And Armie doesn’t mind that at all.
They still have to satisfy a little hunger before they manage to part from each other.
And only with the prospect that they can meet again tomorrow and continue where they left off.

Skylar's room design 💙
Tumblr media
Simple, relaxed, and cozy.
Her room isn't on Rockstar Row, so she doesn't have the big window like the main four greenrooms do. It's just down an employees only hallway at the Skyline Skating Rink, first door on your left.
She spends a lot of time in here, playing her guitar while enjoying the glowing stars on her walls that she got from the Daycare. (They were unused, she wasn't stealing!)
Close ups and other details under the cut (warning- it's long)
Close ups of Skylar's room and the stuff in it 🩵

Thank you to everyone for the art that is now forever on her wall, it's by far my favorite part of the room 🫶 @ar1-thecat @crashfnafstuffs
The only ones I can't tag, because they're on Instagram, are @//joeygodfrey06, @//tori.themagical.gachacat, @//kurapikachu_vulpixachu, @//kareljiriwagner, @//ashleydrawssss, and @//freddyteddysfnaf, but I still want to thank them even though I don't think they're on Tumblr :) 💕
You're all amazing people and artists!!🌟💞🌟
*Hope y'all don't mind the tags, I didn't know what else to do to credit you guys😅
The other drawings and things are my own!
Now for my second favorite little detail :)
The reason Skylar has the Ursa Minor (aka the Little Dipper) constellation above her door is because in my AU when Vanessa comes along, she takes all the animatronics out of the Pizzaplex for the first time on a "just need to get outta the house" or "camping" trip... while they're out there, they see stars for the first time (because you can't see the stars anywhere near a city and I'm totally not salty about that-!). Vanessa tells them about constellations, and what they are, and Skylar becomes very fascinated with stars. When they learn what Ursa Major and Minor are about, Freddy just kind of adopts the nickname "Little Dipper" for Skylar.
Since Gregory's already sealed the deal with "Superstar", and no one else gets that nickname but him, I figured why not give her her own unique nickname that's only used for her?
And thus, a father and daughter got to bond a little more while soft glowing stars were hung in the shape of the Little Dipper.
If you just read all of that, thank you for taking the time to do so 🫶
Time: 4 hour and 37 minutes

A Breath of Fresh Air||Clement Solo
TIMING: Current LOCATION: Clem's new house PARTIES: Clem and his cats SUMMARY: Clement unpacks and feeds his cats. That's it. CONTENT WARNING: None
Clem put down the last of his boxes, stretching. He was sore, but that was only to be expected for the difficult work. But now that the hard things were done, he had time to relax a bit. Most of the furniture was set up already; only the boxes needed unpacking.
Most of the boxes would most likely stay in boxes until he absolutely needed them. He was still overwhelmed from the trip, and missing the dim coziness of his old apartment back in Wisconsin. The place had been old and dirty and horrible about natural light, but it’d been home for… what was it, six years? He’d set up some UV lamps to act as artificial sun so he wouldn’t lose energy working through the nights. His cats had loved to laze around under those lights just like he did.
He never really planned on having cats. He could barely keep himself alive, and adding any responsibility to that made him terrified that he’d kill any life that fell into his hands. And it was a huge cliche, wasn’t it? An author who scarcely left his house adopting a large number of cats?
But the cats had found him and wormed their way into his heart, as cats tended to. Two- Astros and Solbjort- had been alley cats who he’d managed to make friends with between books. They’d chosen him, and made him believe that maybe he wasn’t so bad at taking care of others. All they really needed was food, play, and attention. And he’d learned to take more breaks, and take better care of himself in the process.
It was only because of Astros and Solbjort’s love that he decided to branch out and make another pet for himself. He’d created the glowing mushroom creature during one of his outings into the forests of Wisconsin, and glamoured it to look like a cat. He’d called the mushroom Sveppir, and welcomed her into his home. Astros and Sol had taken some getting used to the creature, but eventually they’d learned to love her just as much as he hoped.
Astros and Solbjort were currently hiding after their move. Clem clicked for them.
“Astros! Solbjort! Sveppir! Ladies, come here! It’s dinner time.” He called.
Unsurprisingly, only Sveppir came, sliding eagerly out from under the couch. The other two were most likely still too nervous to eat: after all, it’d been a long drive. The small sage-brown tabby cat bounded towards him and rubbed on his leg, purring. Bright green eyes met his from the ground. He bent down and scooped her up, blinking to let her know he was glad to see her.
Sveppir chirped at him, and he stroked her fur as he carried her into the kitchen.
He put the non-cat down on the floor once there, careful not to step on her as she followed him, begging for food. She’d eat just about anything he gave her and be just fine, but he stuck to cat food.
Clem filled three bowls with a mixture of wet and dry kibble, then freshened their water. He’d already set up their litter boxes and cat trees, so they were all good in that regard.
He slid down on the kitchen tile, watching with absent pride as Sveppir dug into her dinner. After a few moments, Astros and Sol padded in. Sol was a lovely calico with golden eyes and a very loud meow. Astros, a tuxedo cat with green eyes, acted as her shadow in many ways, jumpy and perpetually spooked. Sol and Sveppir were more extroverted, and he’d gotten them fairly used to leash training. However, Astros just froze when he put her on a leash. That was fine, though. Clem wasn’t interested in pushing her to learn. She was lovely as she was. They all were.
The three cats followed him into the living room when they were done, tails bobbling lazily. Clem got settled on the couch and turned on the tv, cuddling up in his blankets. Sveppir went around his shoulders, Astros went in his lap, and Sol curled up under his hand so he could stroke her as he dozed off. Clem drifted to sleep still worried about the move, but soothed by the purring bodies around him.
