i was wondering how did luna and nico meet? and how did lunas friend and family react to them dating? like i feel like quinn, ellen, jim, cole and ethan would be okay with them but everyone else would be upset

so i only did Luna’s family. Sorry for how long they are 😭 Enjoy!!

So in my ‘Meet Luna Hughes’ i mentioned that Luna has had a crush on Nico since he was drafted to the NHL. Being in a hockey based family, the Hughes family have watched every NHL drafts, rooting for their friends. When the 2017 Draft was happening Luna was sitting with her family. The first time the camera showed Nico, Luna fell in love. Quinn was the first and only one to notice, he also never said anything for years (which is important.) When Luna and Nico started dating Luna was 19 and Nico Was 23. They kept secret but with Quinn being Luna’s best friend, he was the first person she told and made him pinky swear to NOT tell anyone, especially Jack and Luke.

In order of who she told/who found out:

Quinn’s Reaction: He’s a little shocked but not surprised. He’d let Luna know that he knew about her long time crush on Nico (not knowing that he was also exposing Luna for that.) He would be the biggest supporter of their relationship. Oh and also since he is Luna’s older older o̲l̲d̲e̲r̲ brother, he gave Nico the big brother talk.

Ellen’s Reaction: Oh she was so happy for Luna and Nico. Literally welcomed Nico into the family with open arms. Always inviting him over to spend time with Her, Luna and Jim (eventually the whole family when Jack and Luke found out)

Jim’s Reaction: Went major over protective dad mode. With Luna being the youngest and only daughter, Jim values their relationship so much that he swore to protect her the day she was born. He gave the over protective dad talk, making sure Nico knew that if he breaks Luna’s heart he will kill him.

Luke’s Reaction: (after Luna and Nico have been dating a while) Oh poor Lukey, he accidentally caught Luna and Nico holding each other and talking in a slightly dark corridor. He was shoked, mad, confused and worried. He literally walked away, didn’t tell Luna nor Nico he was there (didn’t tell Jack…. yet.) The Devils went on to play and unfortunately they lost. When back in the locker room Nico, Jack and Luke were the last three in there, Nico was talking to Jack when Luke had had enough. He walked up to Nico (his Captain mind you) and said to him “Maybe if you weren’t so enamored with my twin, we would’ve won.” Jack instantly looked at Nico who was as red as a tomato. Oh and when he found out that Quinn knew before him he was livid, literally pulling the “I'm your twin” to Luna.

Jack’s Reaction: Jack was trying to process what Luke had just said. His captain Nico Hischier, than man he has know for 4 years, is dating his baby sister. Jack looked at Nico and then stormed out of the locker room and started looking for Luna. When he found her, she was talking to Alexander, Curtis and Timo, Jack didn’t care tho. He walked up to Luna and asked if Luke was telling the truth, obviously Luna was confused and Jack blurted out “are you dating my captain or not?” Luna was embarrassed with everyone looking at her so she dragged Jack into a nearby room and told him the truth. Jack was obviously upset and left Luna by herself and, being the stubborn guy that he is, ignored both Luna and Nico for three months (Unlike Luke who ignored them for 4 weeks.) After a stern talking to by Ellen and Jim, and even Quinn, he eventually became Lucos (he literally came up with the name) biggest fan and supporter.

Nina’s Reaction: Being Nico’s older sister she was a little overprotective but when Nico introduced Luna to the Hischier Family (unlike the Hughes family they all found out at the same time) Nina’s overprotectiveness of Nico switched to Luna. With both Luna and Nina being the only daughter of their respective families, they became the best of friends. Nina pulled Nico aside after a dinner and gave him her big sister talk saying “If you break her heart, cheat on her, abuse her or do anything to her i will end you.” Luna overheard this and tried so hard not to laugh at this, because she had just met Nina and she already loves Luna. Nico was nervous after that talk, so anytime Nico and Luna fought he would be the first to apologize (with Luna following after.) Nina is the first person Nico goes to for help for a gift or a birthday party or an anniversary thing. Nina’s also is the first person Luna goes to for anything (SORT OF SPOILER: even when Luna was freaking out about missing her period, Nina was there to help her with taking the test and calming Luna’s anxiety when it was positive)

Wouldn’t call herself a fan of shitty spanish shows but will binge watch them at night.

Is a fan of romance and thriller books, especially if there’s a mix. Reads them in bed at night, even when she’s alone during the day. (Has a pair of reading glasses but rarely wears them, so it takes her twice as long to read.)

Since the protocol pays their agents well, Yoru pays the more expensive pieces but they aren’t good looking, as long as it looks cool (only to him) and most of the time blue he’ll buy it. This has caused other agents (Phoenix, Jett and Neon) to try help his fashion sense.

rain code age headcanons because i have literally only ever been choosing ages based on what's funniest but now i wanna cast away my grand layers of irony and be genuine for a moment. also. this goes pretty in depth so be prepped for the long haul when you click read more lmao.

spoilers for the whole game below and it's because of one specific character iykyk

Yakou - this man has the soul of a guy in his late 40s going through what would be his midlife crisis if not for the fact that he's fully aware he passed the midpoint years ago. but that soul is trapped in the body of a guy who doesnt look a day older than 28. what moisturizer does he use? i doubt he even uses anything other than that 13 in 1 shampoo. anyway, i think he's 32.

Halara - 26. nothing really to justify this other than they've got that mid 20s swag but 25 didn't feel right. adult enough to be as competent as they are yet young enough to look like that. moving on.

Desuhiko - 19. i think he's the youngest of the NDA because. well. idk man have you read his dialogue? he's got a whole lot of growing to do and is still very lost on his direction in life. he's giving 'bitch fresh outta high school (or in this case, detective training) and relishing in his freshly obtained freedom."

Vivia - 28? yeah i got nothing for this i am going purely on vibes here. 28 just feels right.

Fubuki - 23. she's clearly still a bit young but is also clearly a grown ass adult who wasn't raised right so i think this makes for a happy medium, especially if she's already been on some worldwide adventures n shit before the game. works out quite swimmingly methinks.

Kurumi - 18. for my personal comfort bc we'll get to yuma later but im not gonna sit here and ignore the way the game constantly grovels at the audience's feet to ship them so id rather she not be any younger than this. anyway, more about her: she tends to hold her own as an informant with more competence, maturity, and effecience than most of the NDA. but she also has a pretty childish black and white view on things, like believing her beloved detectives are always right (girl if you were real you would be ENTRENCHED in stan culture oml do NOT get into minecraft youtubers) but i've... seen 18 year olds on the internet that are exactly the same so whatever

Aetheria girls - putting them all at 17-18 because, based on honorifics, they are treated as upperclassmen by their peers in the Japanese dub. i think waruna is the youngest and kurane is the eldest.

Yomi - 25. he has that vibe. old enough to be taken seriously as an adult but young enough to act like That™. yknow?

Martina - 32. she's giving older woman sexy librarian vibes and generally carries herself with a certain level of poise and maturity but is also a freak in a way that can best be explained by being a woman in her 30s. not elaborating on this

yuma - okay. yeah. look i dont give a singular fuck about age discourse- headcanon whatever you want- but from looking at canon material i genuinely think that he could not possibly be any younger than 21. 20 if we wanna push it. yes, i know he looks young. i have eyes. but also, im in my 20s and the most common thing people tell me when i reveal my age is "oh, i thought you were 15." one time a person asked me if i was 12. at my job. that i was actively working at. i was 20. adults can look young, and contrary to the classic 1000 year old loli dragon trope he doesnt act overtly childish. he acts like a normal fuckin guy. yes he cries but like. you wouldn't in his position? bro speedruns lifelong trauma so skillfully that he's backwards long jumping into alternate universes where everything is somehow worse. i'd be freaked out if he didn't cry. also im aware that the child prodigy detective trope is a thing and that kodaka has written that before but... he was number one three years ago. and the training takes two years. which means, if he is a minor in the game's present day, he started working at the WDO at 12 and became number one at 14... at the oldest. have you ever met a 14 year old? forgive me for not suspending my disbelief here. and really the kicker for me is that yuma has a line where he says he's not sure if he's drinking age (which would be 20 in japan), but you know who would be sure? you know who knows yuma's age better than yuma?

makoto kagutsuchi - this megacorporation CEO has a fully stocked minibar installed in his penthouse. <- sentence i cannot bring myself to believe if it's about a child. since i also cant picture him becoming CEO at age 14 without yomi at least once angrily pointing that out (he only ever mentions that makoto is an outsider, or has his head in the clouds), id like to think both him and yuma, at their youngest, earned their top spots at their respective organizations at 18. it keeps their gifted kid syndrome and young prodigy-ness without making things comically ridiculous or uncomfortable for the sheer amount of sexual situations yuma gets put into.

I have a question for you what do you think of the quote unquote age gap between Bloom and Valtor?

I had to do alot of research to understand Bloom age when I started to like this ship better than Mr cheater. So here's a brief information dump:

Bloom is 16 in the first episode and its confirm her bday is December 10 (we don't know the the exact year when each girl was born only the fact Stella is the oldest by that logic Bloom is the second youngest out of the group) when we get to season 3 it is confirmed that the girls is in their 3rd semester so that makes Bloom 19 at point. Valtor's age we do not know however I'm going to say at most early 20s from what we know Valtor working with a younger Griffin before he got Popsicled.

Here comes the tricky part. In s4 the girls just finished their semester and graduated making them 20-21. Up until s5 where Nicklodeon had to reboot their age making them 16 again. Flashforward to s8 and that makes Bloom age 19 if you are following the reboot or 23 if you do not follow the reboot. Since we don't know how long Valtor been frozen his mental age is up for debate.

For me personally I don't see Sparxshipping as an Edward and Bella situation as Edward was aging naturally during his years while Valtor was frozen and couldn't age naturally but only mentally.

Okay okay first of all! Your Bloom math checks out and I just realized that I for some reason always thought Bloom is 18 in s3. Which is still possible, I think, I just dont know why I assumed that. Actually no, it works, if she is 16 in s1 she is 17 in s2 and 18 in s3, but we dont know a lot about how the school years work in Magix so I'm gonna jot her down as 18-19 for the remainder of this post.

Still dont know how I passed math btw.

Anyway. Valtor's age is where the real mystery is at. We've got two possibilities in my opinion.

1. He's pulling the ageless immortal card.

My personal go-to for fics and discussions. Love me some 300 year old mommy issues. He has too much practice being a messy bitch, there's no fixing this man folks.

Evidence: There's a flashback showing him with Griffin as a tween: she looks MUCH younger, he looks exactly the same. Unless he also stole the secret magic of the world's most potent anti aging cream, or Griffin's proximity to Faragonda just aged her by three more decades, he does not age.

2. He is the age he looks.

Which, in my humble opinion, would not put him anywhere near twenty. That is a grown man. He's not college age, unless you count college professors under that word. Even if I were good at guessing ages the very stylized art style would throw me for a loop, but im gonna say 40s, give or take. Look at Avalon, look at Codatorta, look at King Radius if u must. That is the age range we're looking at.

Evidence: I dont have any. We're ballin'. I guess it's never explicitly stated he's immortal, which you'd think would be big enough of a deal to mention. If u got something feel free to let me know.

That being said, the Winx Club Wiki page for the canon timeline (ha, good one) puts the time of Valtor's creation in a rough time frame from "Over 17 years before season 1" to "Under 100 years before season 6". So he could technically be anywhere from 17-97, though I'm not sure the upper limit is as reliable as the lower one, given the check-list format of the website. So make of that what you will.

Now that we've got the question of age out of the way, lets get to the age gap. I have no idea what the situation in twilight was to be honest, so I cant compare that.

Realistically, there's at least a decade between Bloom and Valtor. Possibly two decades and change. And that is just from visible age, we can add a few centuries on top of that if we're sticking with the immortal bit. I'm gonna be gonest, I dont think being frozen for 17 years will make a whole lot of difference here.

If you find that icky, which is fair, you can always change that for fics tho! Either turn him into a twenty year old or put Bloom in her milf-era, the options are endless. Personally, I think the age difference is half the fun though, and also the least of their issues. When you're off making out with the objectively worst person in history, wether he's too old for her isnt gonna rank very high on people's list of concerns.

assuming the underland chronicles takes place around the time that the books were first published (so somewhere in the 2003-2007 range, as only a little over a year passes during the series) that means that, at the youngest, gregor (the character) will be turning ~28, and at the oldest, ~32. (this puts lizzie at ~24-28 and boots as ~19-23) (boots is making me feel craaaazy I'M 19 turning 20. she's MY AGE. potentially OLDER THAN ME i need to lie down.)

in a similar vein: at the start of CotW, gregor is 11 but we find out at the end that he turned 12 at some point while in the jungle. we also know at the start of the book that it's still winter, tho a few months after the previous book ended with christmas, but by the end of the book it's becoming spring AND we know that all of CotW takes place over about 2 weeks (theres a line in the book that indicates this, i forget which one. just. trust me.) ALL OF THIS TO SAY. can we as a community use this very very rough timeline of events to choose a birthday for this boy. and perhaps celebrate it this year. i simply think that would be neat.

Cursed Trio / Cursed Siblings HCs!

- Grian oldest, pearl middle, & Jimmy youngest ?

-> Grian being the older sibling whose supposed to be responsible but is just so not is too funny to pass up

- they don’t have parents, they just spawned one day and then grian created EVO

- Grian is the feral older brother who didn’t know what he was doing so thats why pearl is… like that

n e ways: wing headcanons

Grian: Obviously, the rainbow parrot bird wings. we all know where the wings originate from but i’d also like to imagine that, like a male bird, grian is colorful because they were the oldest, the “protector” of his siblings, so he was the brightest and most colorful to distract predators (mobs in this case) from their younger siblings

Pearl: now i haven’t seen many Pearl wing headcanons but i’d like to think that Pearl’s wings are bigass raven wings that she can use to make herself look more intimidating. Also, raven symbolism = every time you see a raven, death is approaching. They would also be easy to conceal under a dark jacket, like the black one they have.

Jimmy: the famed canary wings! canary, obviously referring to “canary in the coal mine.” the yellow to white gradient also looks almost ghostly in sunlight. jimmy is a naturally good singer and very friendly, like canaries often are, but keeping them in cages means there’s a ghost around. too bad he’s usually the ghost that’s around :(

- also i think it’s incredibly funny that, though parrots can grow to be 40 inches, ravens behind at 24-27 inches, and canaries only averaging around 3-5 inches, jimmy is the tallest sibling with pearl being a close second

- jimmy was obsessed with making random animals nests when he was younger:

-> finds a chicken

-> makes it a nest

-> cries when the chicken walks away

- whenever they’re on the same server, grian will just pick jimmy up (cuz tho he is short, their wings are very strong & fcking massive) and throw him like when he was teaching him to fly

- he has attempted this with pearl Once, and never again

- jimmy is the only one who preens his wings on the “regular,” but even then he only preens them like every three months when they are absolutely awful

-> the other two are TERRIBLE about preening

-> they get that hermitcraft hyperfixation that all the hermits get when starting a new build or redstone machine

- all of them are fairly light weight, though all looking like body-builders cuz hollow bird bones

- pearl is so done with her dumb older & younger brothers, at all times

- they will go days without seeing grian, or even weeks without seeing jimmy cuz of the server differences but the moment she sees them she just deflates

- exhausted

- she is very protective tho :) she joined empires to keep jimmy in check and then joined hermitcraft cuz they knew grian needed someone to keep HIM in check

- this was only a few days apart (empires - June 12, 21 / hermitcraft - June 19, 21)

- pearl joined to keep them in check, she failed, they both caused chaos and she joined in

- Pearl = goddess, Grian = watcher, Jimmy = listener

-> they use their abilities to cause mayhem and wreak havoc

- when it was “revealed” that lizzie and jimmy were seablings pearl and grian were jealous that jimmy got to be siblings with somebody cool AGAIN but they were stuck with him

- jimmy was offended they didn’t think he was cool

- both times jimmy has acquired a husband/partner, grian and pearl both had “the talk” with them

-unfortunately, they are simply too goofy to be taken seriously so both scott and tango were unconcerned until pearl’s eyes starting glowing white and grian’s wings were covered in massive purple glowing eyes

- both scott & tango asked jimmy if he could do cool stuff like that after they calmed down

-> he gave a wistful little sigh and said, “no, all i can do is hear down to atoms. not so impressing.”

- much confusion, those days

- feathers:

- jimmy gives feathers out like candy; to his family, his friends, his loves, etc.

- grian only ever gives his feathers out to very close ppl; their siblings and scar & mumbo

- pearl never gives her feathers out; they have a deep seeded fear of her feathers not being pretty enough in comparison to their brother’s bright colorful ones

-> the only time she’s given them is to her brothers when they were like 9

- they love each other !!! oh em gee

Some redesigned skellie boyo OCs cause i miss my OCs and kinda wanna remake their story.

Julian is the one with hair, created April 19, 2018.

Akihiro is the orange rat boi, created June 14, 2018.

And the last one is Travis, my pastel boi who's also created June 2018, but at the 28th.

Short info about them:

Julian is the youngest son of my first OCs Juliet (used to be my persona, but I didn't like that I tecnicaly shipped myself with my OCs, so she became her own character) and Simon. I gave him his name before i realized how simular it was to mine... Anyways- he was born without emotions cause Simon's magic messes with emotions.

Akihiro never had a backstory. He was just a sweet bby boi. I've had some ideas for him tho, for example; secret ninja/hero trying to defeat my only villain OC together with his sister Sakura. Now I'm just thinking about making him a gymnast.

And Travis were a vent character. A character i created cause i just couldn't shut my mouth and i think i hurt some people? So I made a character who did what i couldn't do: shut up.

La squadra headcannons I have

Risotto

Suffered a head injury when he was little. It caused some blood vessels in his eyes to burst and making his Scleras to appear black. He would have suffered visions lost if he got older.

He was raised by his aunt and uncle, and his cousin was more like his brother. (lost contact with the former two)

Had a lot of piercings though he wears them less after getting his stand.

Because of his stand; he has a constant feeling of bugs under his skin. It doesn’t bother him that much, but he still get very itchy sometimes.

Was pretty thin and lanky when he first joined and felt awkward when he walked with others.

Illuso

Second tallest of the team(6’6)

His dad’s vanilla ice, he was there in Egypt during those four years. (where he got his stand, boy in the mirror) the longer they stay, the more obsessed Ice became of DIO; to the point that he almost completely stopped interacting with his son and didn’t notice he got a stand. (Even DIO was disappointed in Ice)

He watched the fight between Vanilla Ice and Polnareff (form the safety of the mirror realm) but still blames DIO for his dad’s death more than polnareff. (Would still throw hands with him tho)

Joined Passione at 13, tho he was an escort before he was reassigned as an assassin.

Spent a lot of time alone at first.

Formaggio

collects cars (actual cars) he keeps them in a box under his bed.

Got his cat during his first “solo” hit. (She was catnapped)

Made his apartment accessible for when he’s tiny. (Small ropes and ladders to get to high places, mini Hammocks to lounge in e.t.)

Tries to get along with the others

Loves shity B movie slashers (the ones with the bad cgi) but he also makes fun of them.

Likes bugs and know a lot about them.

Melone

Naturally blonde but dyes his hair purple.

A bit squeamish and doesn’t do well with gore or bloody scenes.

Youngest of seven and was mostly raised (and bullied) by his siblings since his dad was a dead beat and his mom committed when he was three.

The only member of La squadra to go to college (he didn’t finish)

Has a chemical burn on the side of his face; making him partially blind in one eye (he covers it with his hair)

Risotto was going to take him to get their nips pierced.

Prosciutto

Born into mafia (a different gang that merged Passione)

smoker (he smoke da weed)

Uses his stand to get senior discounts.

Spends most of his paycheck on expensive clothes. unfortunately, he insists on wearing them on missions were they get torn often.

Collects books, he doesn’t read them, but he collects them.

Pesci

Youngest member (19)

His mom and prosciutto’s knew each other, unfortunately both died in a gang related incident.

Begged prosciutto to let him join. He finally let him (at 17) but Pesci severely underestimated what he was getting into.

Everyone’s little brother.

Ghiaccio

Autistic.

Is resistant to the cold (not immune) but can’t handle hot temperatures. Learned to use his stand to cool himself off.

Has uncomfortably cold (to others) skin (this is why he wears more clothes)

Born stand user. Had poor temperature regulation and was sick often do to overheating.

Can use the “helmet” of white album to see if he doesn’t have his glasses.

Ran away from home.

Lived with sorbet and gelato since he was 12 (he tried to steal sorbet’s wallet) and didn’t know they were assassins until he was 16.

Didn’t really interact with or get to know the others until he was 19 (when sorbet and gelato die) except for Risotto and sometimes formaggio.

Likes video games (sonic, Pokémon, e.t)

Trans.

Sorbet and gelato (together)

Both in mid to early 40s.

Did a lot of crime all around Europe before joining Passione.

Were originally hired to train new stand user assassins, not to be full time ones. Though, they were expecting mature and experienced adults, instead they got people who were barely adults (18 at the oldest)

Really want a more normal and domestic life and know they can’t get one; no matter how hard they try.

Sorbet

Mild pyrophobia (has panic attacks when near anything big than a campfire)

Has burn scars on his back and arms.

French

3rd tallest (6’5) but can lift Risotto pretty easily.

Pretty quiet, mostly because he doesn’t like his own voice (very raspy voice, sometimes hurts when he shouts) is good for intimidation tho.

Cannibal (happened by accident)

Gelato

Doesn’t eat most meats except fish (he’s fine eggs, dairy, e.t)

Ex-military (got discharged for being gay💅)

Has ADHD and gets very talkative (sorbet loves his voice)

Has a younger brother (it’s someone:) who was also mentally ill. His parents made him help take care of him. He didn’t hate his brother, but he also left as soon as he could. Sometimes he wonders how he’s doing.

Pretty much second in command of La squadra.

Has a big scar on the side of his face.

Gets into fights a lot. Mostly with other people, sometimes with his own teammates, mostly prosciutto (they disagree a lot)

Okay but like what if Mansk and Ja were brothers, because i discovered big brother Mansk and loved it.(don’t ask why at this point I don’t even know why I keep making new ones) and for reasons I have yet to figure out, escaped death at the ship and joined the Metkayina tribe (again havent figured out why yet) and spider has kind of vouched for them cuz they were the only ones nice to him. Also I have this idea of Ja beeing the youngest on the squad, like he was shipped to Pandora @ 18, killed @ 19 almost 20 and his recom is around like 21? So Mansk is like 22-26 ish and acts childish around his brother but also protective?

Jake: what!? Who!? Tuk what’s going on!?

Tuk: look! There! They were fighting and then it got worse!

*Tuk points to Mansk who is holding Ja Up in the air over his head*

Jake: what the-!?

*Mansk throws Ja into the water and jumps on top of him & begin holding him under*

Jake: jesus! What’s going on!

*jake & Neytiri rush to get closer, Mansk Pulls Ja’s head out the water*

Ja: get off asshole!

Mansk, grinning: then say uncle!

Ja: no!

*Mansk put Ja back under water, Jake stops Neytiri. Mansk pulls Ja up again*

Manak: ready to say uncle yet!

Ja: No! How about you suck my fat-

*Mansk puts Ja back under*

Mansk: language!

Neytiri, thoroughly confused: Ma Jake, what are you doing? Shouldn’t we stop them?

Jake Smiling: Nah, this is just brothers playing

Neytiri deadpan: Ma jake, this is drowning, not playing, do something.

Jake: yes dear. Hey Mansk!

Mansk: yeah?

jake: you good bro?

Mansk: I’m fine you?

Jake: uhh I’m great, what’s with the drowning buddy? He okay?

*Mansk pulls Ja out of water*

Mansk: you good bro?

Ja: better than your puny d-

*Mansk puts him back under*

Mansk: he’s fine! Used to be a swimmer, he’s freaky good at holding his breath!

Jake: ……right?

*jake see Neytiri still unimpressed*

Jake, Sighs: could we chill on the downing tho!

*Mansk get off Ja a pull him up*

Mansk: Next time your under till you say uncle

*Ja sticks tongue out*

Ja Smirks: whatever loser

*Mansk push Ja down as he gets out of water, Ja tackles Mansk to the sand and fighting continues *

Jake turn to Neytiri: well I tried

Neytiri huffs: I will never understand you sky people

*Neytiri Walks away and Jake goes to stand by Tonowari with the rest of the onlookers and watches the very entertaining fight that eventually turns into a betting game of who will win*

*Fight only ends when an annoyed Ronal tells everyone to get back to work and drags the to two taller Recoms by their ears to her pod so she can scold them*

*Everyone hands Tonowari their betting money in defeat, they should have Known Ronal would stop the fight*
