Sing Me A Melody Ch. 9 (A BakuDeku Omegaverse Au)
Chapter 9: Always Found
“Sir, do you have the proper mated paper work?” the nurse asked Katsuki. The blonde sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“No I don't,” Katsuki replied.
“Well...without other identification I can't let you into the room with Mr. Midoriya I'm afraid. It's a protocol to protect our patients,” the nurse said, wincing when there was a slight growl from the blonde.
“Just do it man. We'll figure it out later,” Kirishima sighed.
Katsuki sighed, pulling his sunglasses off and then pulled out his wallet, setting his id down on the counter for her.
“Be discreet. He is my mate. Just check his scent. The bond is new,” Katsuki told her.
The nurse's eyes lit up at the familiar sight of the singer as well as the id in her hand.
“You're-”
“Discreet,” Katsuki snapped.
“Daddy grumpy...” Eri mumbled in Kirishima's arms.
“He sure is,” the redhead teased.
Katsuki shot a glare his way which that smile instantly fell from his face.
“Alright, here you are. This bracelet will grant you access to see him when the doctor is done stitching him up,” she said with a smile, then set a piece of paper on the counter. “Do you mind...?”
Katsuki sighed heavily, taking back his id and putting it back in his wallet. “Only if you get a bracelet for them too.”
“But-”
“You want an autograph or not?” he growled.
She flushed at that and she immediately went to work, getting the bracelets for Izuku and handed them to Kirishima so he could put them onto Eri and himself.
“Let's go,” Katsuki said, putting his sunglasses back on and looked down at the door number. “He should be there in a few minutes.”
*
Izuku sighed, laying in the bed as he stared up at the ceiling. He hated this. He just got a new alpha but he hadn't even been able to reutrn the mating mark.
Did Katsuki even want it?
He was thankful for the painkillers. During that procedure the doctor seemed to have taken a lot longer than he had thought.
He was just getting a few stitches in right?
Either way he was tired and just wanted to go back to the hotel with Katsuki.
He wanted to talk to him about returning the bite but also going to his place and packing his things up. He was fully committed at this point.
A soft knock on the door sounded and Izuku glanced over as a familiar head of blonde poked his head in.
“Up for some visitors?” he asked.
“Kacchan,” Izuku said with a warm smile. “Yes, of course.”
Katsuki stepped in and Kirishima and Eri came in as well. Eri stared up at him scared, tears in her eyes as she saw the large bandage on his head.
“You okay Eri bear?” Izuku asked her softly.
“Are you okay?” she asked softly, letting go of Kirishima's hand and made her way to his side at the bed.
“I'm okay,” he said to her. “Just a boo boo.”
Seeing the tears he pat the bed. She climbed on, Katsuki going to stop her but Izuku waved him away, letting the small pup curl up against him.
“There we go. Now I'll heal faster,” Izuku said, petting her head. Katsuki looked at him worried. “She's tired. It's okay.”
Tension settled around them as the two alphas sat down in the chairs near the bed. Izuku pet Eri's hair, the young pup curling in close as she got herself comfortable.
“Izuku...I'm sorry,” Kirishima finally said, breaking the silence. “This is all my fault. I shouldn't have barged in like that.”
“You shouldn't have had a key to my hotel room either,” Katsuki growled at him. Kirishima sighed, looking down at the ground.
“It's fine I guess....” Izuku mumbled, ignoring Katsuki's comment. “But why did you do that? Why did you throw me off?”
The blonde rose a brow at the redhead who let out a small sigh.
“Katsuki and I exchange extra hotel keys just in case to protect one another, that's why I had it,” Kirishima explained. “I over reacted. After what happened the last time when Katsuki had a mate I just thought the same thing would happen again. I didn't think my best friend would survive another round of hurt like that.”
The room fell in silence again and then Izuku looked to the blonde. Their eyes met and red eyes softened as he looked at him.
“Sure it has been fast but....” Katsuki said. “This is different man. I just feel something different. And...we've both been hurt. This was a way also to help the hurt.”
“Hurt..?” Kirishima sked.
Izuku looked down at Eri as she was dozing off against his side. He thread his fingers through her hair to help her relax.
“Crazy ex...I don't really want to talk about it,” Izuku said.
“Gotcha...” the redhead said and sighed. “Again I really am sorry for that. I'm surprised though with how big your bangage is...your wound didn't look that big.”
“Maybe you caused more damage than you thought?” Katsuki snarked at him which had the redhead flinching. “You owe him man.”
“I know...”
Izuku reached with his other hand and gently touched the bandages, his head feeling numb still from where they sewed him up.
“Is it really tht big?” he asked.
Katsuki stood up, going to his side and frowned.
“Something's up,” Katsuki said.
“Indeed there was,” came a voice from the doorway. The blonde turned to look at the man. He had long raven hair and looked like he hadn't slept in a week.
“Hello, I am Dr. Aizawa,” the man said, holding out his hand for them to shake. Katsuki did and then Izuku followed. “You are right to think something was up. This was more than just a bump to the head.”
Katsuki growled, glaring at the redhead.
“Relax, or I'm going to have to ask you to leave,” the man said. “This is delicate information which may cause Mr. Midoriya to get very upset.'
Izuku grew pale and the blonde rest his hand on his shoulder, petting his skin. The touch as well as his scent helped keep him relaxed.
“Did something happen doctor?” Izuku asked softly. Was he ill? Did something happen to him?
“Well when we were stitcing you up we had found something,” Aizawa said, pulling out a small bottle with somethin hard inside. “I'm not sure if you are aware of this but this was in your head.”
Izuku took the bottle with a shaking hand and he felt his blood run cold. A microchip?
“A...a microchip?” he asked, letting Katsuki take the bottle. “What?”
“With your reaction I'm sure you were not aware of this in your body. It's a tracking chip. One that mother's usually have implanted in their children when they're babies. This looks like it had been put in within the last five years or so,” Aizawa explained.
Izuku felt tears building in his eyes. “My mother never did that.”
She wasn't like that. She was protective but not at that level and he never remembered her popping up out of nowhere. But there was someone.
“That son of a-” Katsuki started.
“Language,” Aizawa said looking down at the sleeping Eri.
Izuku felt the tears leaking down his cheeks, looking up at Katsuki. “Kachaan...he....Dabi...he...”
“Shh...I got you,” Katsuki said to him softly, pulling Izuku gently into a hug as the omega trembled in his arms, red eyes going to his friend.
“See what he meant by crazy ex?” He said. Though even Katsuki didn't know the beginning of what the heck happened.
“The chip was deactivated. We can dispose of it for you if you'd like,” the doctor offered, looking to Katsuki for the answer as Izuku was sobbing against his chest.
“Yes. Please,” Katsuki said. “It'll make us feel a lot better.”
The doctor nodded his head. “I will check up on you later.”
Katsuki continued to rub Izuku's head carefully, letting out a small sigh.
“In a way if we weren't here that chip would still be in his head,” Katsuki sighed. “I'm still not happy he got hurt but this chip has been hurting him in the longest of ways.”
Izuku wiped his eyes, trying to calm down. He felt safe with Katsuki.
*
Izuku had drifted off with his mind buzzing around. He had always wondered how Dabi had been able to find him. Now he knew. Now he knew how he always popped up.
He could have even popped up at the hotel and never knew. Without the band's special code no one would be allowed to go up into the hotel.
He woke with a small hum, rubbing one of his eyes as he sat up a bit. His head was throbbing a little from the pain but he felt a little better.
Dabi couldn't follow him anymore. But this proved that he would be gathering his things and moving with Katsuki. Always on the go and staying with the alpha that actually cared about his well being rather than just producing pups.
He was safe now. Katsuki had stepped from the room for the moment, Kirishima had gone home as well as visiting hours were over. Izuku was to be kept over night for observation.
Eri stayed curled up against him and he pet her hair gently. He was happy that the pup liked hm. Now that he was with her father he wanted to make sure that she knew that she would be loved by him. And how could he not? She was so sweet.
He leaned down brushing some hair from her face and kissed her forehead. He would give her the lover she deserved that her mother never gave her.
“Well, well, well,” came a familiar voice causing Izuku to tense, wide eyes turning to look at the familiar figure in the doorway. “So this is where you are. Been waiting for you to move out of that hotel.”
“Touya...” Izuku said, looking around. Where was Katsuki? “What do you want. How did you even get in here?”
“Had the proper paper work my mate,” Dabi said with a smirk, showing the paper work that they had signed when they were younger. “They let me walk right in, no questons asked.”
Izuku backed up against the bed, his arms resting around Eri to protect her. He had to. He had to make sure she stayed safe in this.
“Oh...finally became a mommy huh?” Dabi teased with a sickening smirk. “But of yours it isn't yours since you're so useless. Now let's go. We're going home. I'm tired of playing this cat and mouse game. We're going to try again.”
He paused as he leaned in to Izuku, noting the bandage on his neck. He slammed his hand against the wall near his head, sniffing slowly.
“You let him mark you. You sl-”
“The hell you doing here?” came Katsuki's growl.

Friend.
Viking!Ghost with a huge wolf-dog.
Or, even better : shepherd!reader with a huge wolf-dog, or two ; big, ferocious babies who absolutely love the guy, smothering him in kisses and floof every time he visits his darling. Huge balls of fluff who are absolutely delighted when he picks both of them up as if they were still puppies. Reader falling a little bit more in love with him every time she catches him interact with them, gently talking to them as their tails wag and wag and wag. And Ghost who has to suck in a breath when he finds her asleep in the barn after she spent the night helping one of her sheep give birth, the two dogs acting as really big and warm blankets, along with all the other sheep ; just a huge pile of snuggles that won’t let any kind of cold wind through. Just utter cuteness, and the huge, powerful viking is smitten.
My period has been acting up since yesterday, and last night was a nightmare. I’m a little bit better, but I can’t eat otherwise it’s gonna start all over again. I am not hurt, I AM the hurt. I really wish I had a big doggo or one of my cats to snuggle with, or a partner to help with the panic attacks this shoot always comes with (or all of those, I need warmth and cuddles and love).
I wanna write, by I can’t, because brain not braining properly. So I’m imagining fluffy scenarios while listening to the rain outside.
The birds are singing in harmony with the rain. It’s a cozy melody.
Lots of love, Friend.
Mii, out (like a light, soon, probably).
You're getting used to the visits. The giant of a viking that hovers just at the edge of your fence, watching like he's got something to say only to turn away when you ask him to say it. The dogs like him, galloping over to the man every time his shadow crosses your fence. They wiggle and jump like puppies, pushing their big paws against his chest and stretching long with their heads back, the only man that hasn't been bowled over by them yet. You can't blame them for their affections.
Your guest scoops up one of them and cradles the overgrown mutt against his chest. Your dog, for all its ferocity, licks at his mask like the tamest pup in a litter. You get your flock settled before making your way over. It's a fair assumption the viking won't walk away with your dog, so you're guessing he's worked up the nerve for a conversation. You manage to get all the way to the fence, though he takes a step back when you lean against it. You switch your attention to the dog still on the ground and scratch under her chin. Her big eyes stare sadly up at you, as if you could pick her up like the viking.
"Ghost," he says, and you're struck by how rich his voice is, deep and smokey as a dwarves cavern, "you can call me Ghost," he explains, apparently having realized his attempted start at a conversation wasn't going to go anywhere.
"There another viking hidin' his face like you?" You ask him, the introduction is lovely (if a little awkward) but everyone in the village knows Ghost. Or, they know of him. Nobody really knows him. You figure that's what the mask is for.
"Suppose not," he replies, and there's a touch of humor in his voice you hadn't expected. It makes you think he's smiling. Somehow that makes your cheeks feel hot. Strange.
"What do you need Ghost?" You ask, leaning against the fence. He leans to put your dog down, and the other one goes to nose his hand. He scratches her head lightly before straightening up.
"Just came to pet the dogs," he tells you. You smile. "No show this time?" He asks.
"No wolves," you nod towards the pasture, your flock safe and sound as they graze. Your eyes land on the wolf fang sewn to his leather. It's familiar enough to make your heart squeeze. You wish he'd come for you.
-
You're not out in the pasture, or answering the door when he knocks. It's early but Ghost didn't think you'd be that sound a sleeper. Fucking hell it's early, he shouldn't even be here but he wanted to see you before he left and- and he couldn't stop himself. He was delaying leave for his own selfish desired, but he couldn't stop himself from coming out to your little pasture. He had no excuse for it, nothing he could tell you, but he didn't want to talk to you he wanted to see you.
These are two different things.
He wanders around the fence you've put up, sturdy, well maintained. He wonders if you fix it up yourself or ask someone else to do it. You could ask him, he'd fix it for you. He'd fix anything for you. As long as it was you asking, he could do anything.
He stops outside a little covered barn, the hay leading into it is fresh, the doors slightly ajar. It's a good bet if he's ever seen one. The hinges don't stick when he inches the door open to look inside.
One of your dogs lifts its head from your lap, and stares at him, it's fluffy tail wagging softly against the hay. You're asleep, of course you're asleep. Sprawled over the hay, your dogs cuddled around you, the rest of the sheep settled to huddle close to their shepherd as well. You're surrounded by thick wool and wirey dogs, hardly bothered by the animals and straw as you sleep through the wee hours of the morning. You don't even look cold.
Ghost unhooks his cloak, the black leather and wolf's fur feeling ominous in such a pastoral scene, and drapes it over you like a blanket. Your dogs sniff it inquisitively, nosing it until he pushes their heads away with gentle pats. He tucks the fur against your neck and strokes his knuckles against your cheek. You're so beautiful, soft and vulnerable even under your fangs. He would have taken you to bed last night if you'd let him. Stayed up to watch the ewe and her new lamb while you curled up under the pelt blankets to sleep. How safe must you feel? How safe would he feel?
His thumb strokes against the fur and he stands. You'll still be here when he gets back, maybe not in the barn but here. In the village, in your pasture, right where he knows he can find you.
And hopefully, you'll be wearing his cloak when he does.

Do the werdos exist in your au?
Tumblr media
Yup! they're all buds despite living on different islands, and there's only one of each werdo. Tawkerr lives on plant island, Parlsona lives on air, Maggpi on cold, and Stoowarb on earth. I want to give them names but so far only Maggpi has one (Pieka). I promise all of them are having a good time in that image, Maggpi wouldn't go out of its way to hang out with the others if it didn't like them. Also fun fact unlike monsters who grow out of having a neck scruff when they're adults the werdos seem to keep them well into adulthood!

Sing Me A Melody Ch. 5 (A BakuDeku Omegaverse Au)
Chapter 5: Moving Fast
Izuku's heart hammered in his chest and he tugged the already closed robe tighter around himself in a feeling like it would protect him.
He had nearly kissed the band leader. He barely knew the man yet he felt such a connection with him even from the small tid bits of stuff he knew.
Katsuki sighed heavily as he made his way to the door and tugged it open with a scowl after looking in the peep hole.
“What,” he snapped at another fmailiar blonde head of hair. Chargebolt, another member of Katsuki's band that Izuku recognized.
“Hello to you too grump,” Kaminari said with a roll of his eyes and stepped into the suite much to Katsuki's growling at him.
“Now's not a good time man,” he stated flatly.
“I'm only here to see if you have the sheet music for the next concert? I need to adjust my timing and I can't do it without the sheet music- well hello,” Kaminari drawled and then stopped once his eyes landed on the small omega sitting on the couch.
“H-hi,” Izuku said, clearing his throat as the greeting came out more like a squeak.
“Now I see why you're acting like that,” Kaminari said to his fellow bandmate, wiggling his eyebrows at him.
“One, I'm always like that,” Katsuki stated. “And two, it's not what it looks like.”
“Really?” the other blonde asked with a snort. “Cuz from my point it looks like you brought someone here to get busy.”
Izuku's cheeks burst into a bright red and he buried his face into the robe even further. At least Katsuki's scent was comforting.
“With my track record, you really think I would be stupid enough to chance that again?” Katsuki snapped.
Kaminari held his hands up in defense.
“Just saying man. Us alphas got needs.”
“You're not even an alpha. You're a beta,” Katsuki retorted.
“True,” Kaminari said. “And not ashamed of it.” His gold eyes looked down at Izuku and he smiled a little in a friendly matter. “Name's-”
“Chargebolt?” Izuku finished for him and Kaminari looked at Katsuki with a raised brow.
“Seriously, you're really going to tell me that you're not sleeping with one of our fans for your personal benefit?” he asked flatly.
“No, no,” Izuku jumped in, waving his hands at that. “It's not like that at all. Kacchan just helped me get out of a really bad situation with my ex.”
“Kacchan huh?” Kaminari teased which earned him a punch in the shoulder.
“Shut it,” Katsuki snapped.
“I'm the one that...the new song and...new song writer?” Izuku offered.
The teasing went right out the window as Kaminari paled.
“Oh man, sorry,” Kaminari said. “You're Izuku then? Your song was amazing. I can't wait to see what else you come up with. Name's Kaminari by the way.”
He held his hand out and Izuku shook it lightly, still using his other hand to keep the robe closed tight over himself.
“Nice to meet you,” Izuku said softly.
“Izuku is a bit of a fan, but in all seriousness I was just helping him out of a bad situation. He's gonna stay here as long as he wants and needs to,” Katsuki explained and started to look through some folders that were on the table.
“Sorry to hear that. We're all here to protect you man,” Kaminari stated. “A friend of Katsuki's is a friend of ours.”
“Thank you,” Izuku said feeling a little more relaxed. He had been worried about that. He didn't want to over stay his welcome at all.
But by staying there for a few days might have Dabi grow unintersted and leave him alone. He would need to focus on other things.
He could move again but he wasn't sure where to go. He'd lose his job because he had to move. He hated this. Three times he had to move to get away from Dabi.
And now the man had found him again.
“Here,” Katsuki stated, holding out a few pieces of paper to the other blonde. “Now take this and go back to your hotel room.”
“I don't know man, maybe I want to hang,” Kaminari teased, leaning towards the alpha with wiggling eyebrows, his voice low so Izuku couldn't hear. “Gotta say man I don't blame you if you do want a piece of that.”
“Out,” Katsuki growled, pinching the bridge of his nose as Kaminari laughed as he head towards the door.
“Just saying man. Maybe something like that would loosen you up a little bit,” Kaminari stated.
“You and I both know what happened the last time I did,” he snapped at him. The smile fell from Kaminari's face as he opened the door, reaching to pat Katsuki's shoulder.
“Hey man, didn't mean to strike a nerve,” he offered.
“You did, but let's just forget it. I have to make sure he eats and then I'm gonna go to bed,” he told him. Kaminari gave a nod, giving a salut.
The door closed behind him and Katsuki sighed as he locked it up.
“He's a lot different than I thought he would be,” Izuku mused, taking a few bites of his ramen and he closed his eyes at the taste. Warm, filling and familiar.
“Most people say that about him,” Katsukis stated, flopping onto the couch next to him with a sigh and changed the channel. “Say that about all of us honestly. We tend to try to keep our real names and lives under wraps. Years ago we were told that mystery made people like us more I guess. Needless to say my life is too crazy that the press would have a field day.”
“Oh...” Izuku said, swallowing his food and he looked at the blonde, realizing that he was a little uncomfortable talking about the subject of his life. “Hey, it's alright if you don't want to talk about it at all.”
Katsuki looked down at him. This omega had spilled his guts and had told him a lot. Yet here he was a closed book.
And to be honest he felt like he could trust Izuku but also that he would understand the situation that he was in. They nearly had made out for crying out loud.
“It's okay,” Katsuki said as he watched him eat a few more bites. Good. At least he was fed and he had a full stomach to rest on.
That extra room would be perfect for him. No one had slept in it since he had gotten there so it would be comfortable for him.
“I had slept with someone a couple of years ago. One night stand which turned into something more. Or at least I thought. I had been head over heels for her,” Katsuki stated. Izuku shifted in his seat, holding the bowl as he curled his legs in close.
Cute.
“I had even asked her to marry me. She had said no,” Katsuki continued, leaning his head back against the couch, staring up at the ceiling. “I cut things off then and there but she sunk one last claw into me before I could. She told me she was pregnant.”
Izuku paused in his food. No wonder Katsuki wanted to keep this a secret. He was right, the press would have a field day about all of this.
He would take these words to his grave.
“I refused to pursue anything with her ever again but I have a link to her,” Katsuki sighed heavily. “I lost in the court case for custody. She threw my career at me and played it up that I wanted nothing to do with her. She barely lets me see my daughter and only lets me so she can get that check for child support every month.”
Katsuki had closed his eyes. His poor little girl. He loved his daughter so much. She was so sweet and was always excited to see Katsuki whenever she came to visit.
He felt hands agianst his cheek and Katsuki lifted his head and opened his eyes, looking down at Izuku confused. That's when he rezlied that he was crying.
“Oh...” he mumbled, Izuku started pulling his hand away with flushing cheeks.
“Sorry,” Izuku said softly. “I hadn't meant to. I...”
How did he apologize for something like this?
“It's fine,” Katsui said, catching Izuku's hand in his. Izuku swallowed, the burn in his cheeks getting worse.
“It's okay,” Katsuki said again to reassure him, looking into his green eyes. What was this pull he was feeling? He barely knew this omega.
Yet he felt like he could tell him everything, trust him with anything.
He turned his head a bit and brushed his lips against the inside palm. Izuku swallowed heavily, looking at what he was doing.
He wasn't sure what to do.
He was feeling the similar passion, feeling a fire brewing within him. His inner omega was happy, coming out of its shell.
He was happy with this alpha. He felt protected, cared for.
But he had just met him. How was he meant to think he had a strong connection to him when he had only knew him few days. At least on a personal level.
He only knew of Dynamight, the lead singer of his favorite band. He didn't know Katsuki, the man behind the name.
The blonde stared at him a moment and then leaned in. Izuku felt his heart hammering in his chest again. He had two choices. He could let him kiss him and throw caution to the wind, or he could tell him to stop before it was too late.
He closed his eyes a bit, leaning in again but an image popped into his mind.
What if the two of them wanted to have children in the future. With the way Katsuki was talking about his own daughter it sounded like he wanted his own family, one that wasn't going to be ripped away from him.
What would Katsuki do if he realized that he wasn't able to give him any children? Tears welled up in his eyes.
He would reject him just like Dabi had.
“Whoa, hey,” Katsuki said, cupping Izuku's cheek. He flinched a bit, pulling back a bit and hugged his legs, his breathing starting to pick up.
“I-I'm sorry. I can't help it. I never could,” Izuku kept saying and he shook his head.
Katsuki watched him quietly. He had never seen someone in such distress. Something had clearly happened in his past that it was still affecting him. Izuku told him a little but not the finer details.
Pushing out a calming scent Katsuki pulled him close to his chest.
“It's okay omega. Just rest,” he said to him.
Izuku trembled in his arms but soon the scent did it's trick and he started to calm down against him, just like he had done earlier.
Katsuki pet his hair, leaning back against the couch, watching as he started to doze off in his arms. He shouldn't have been so forward with him like this.
In the morning he would need to ask him what was going on.

*Waddles up to u to ask u abt your interpretation of kayna in this au*
Uh you're lucky (Or unlucky depending on what you exactly wanted honestly) because my brain isn't really words right now but I have a drawing! Basically all I got is the scientific name (Geologica Igniea) The family "Geologica" or rock golems is for the monsters made of rocks. Kaynas eat rocks which get melted in their stomach by the fire energy making up their lifeforce and slowly seeps out of their stomach over previously formed plates of rock to form new plates. Also a fun thing about fire monsters, like cold monsters they have tusks, but the fire monsters tend to have longer lower tusks while the cold monsters tend have longer upper tusks, of course there are outliers to this rule but it's general.
Tumblr media
Magically they only feel as warm as your average animal and even the fresh magma on their bodies or glowing bits are completely safe to touch. Unless the Kayna decides it does not want to be safe to touch (or it needs to light something on fire) and can turn off the magic heat guard thing and become the actual temperature of molten rock for however long they please and whatever part of their body.
