Hey! I know you're a big Alkaloid fan (amazing taste btw), so I was wondering if you had any thoughts on their upcoming solos and what you'd like to see for each? Personally, I'd love something with Phantom of the Opera inspiration for Mayoi considering his backstory, but I'm not quite sure on the other three and wanted to know if you had anything in mind for them? Thanks!!!
Sorry for the late reply, but I'm so glad you sent me an ask!!! 🥹🙌
Despite how excited I am for the prospect of Alkaloid getting solos, I try my best to not have any expectations for them so I can be surprised when they release... however! I admit I do have a few expectations for them shdjf so...
An unnecessarily long post talking about what I'd like to see for the upcoming Alkaloid's solos!
I'm not sure if it's canon, but I read somewhere that the solos are based on the characters' first Feature Scout cards. Therefore, the solo songs for Alkaloid should fit their first FS cards, and I have some expectations for them to fill if that's the case 👁️
Let's start with Aira!
Tumblr media
For Aira, I would like that his solo song has some European or specifically French elements, mostly in the instrumental (I still wonder if I'd like Aira to say some french words in the song, since an essential part of Aira's character is that he doesn't fit the foreigner image people have of him —despite his looks, he's just an average Japanese boy, he doesn't know any French—; but I also think that, if in his FS1 he embraced this side of his identity, he would also be open to use some French in the lyrics despite not knowing the language, also as a sign that he's accepting his French blood as part of his identity).
Of course, I hope that his solo song is upbeat and cheerful, and that the lyrics talk about his self doubt and insecurities, but with a hopeful outlook about it—talking about how he's still going to try to work hard to overcome his challenges, to be able to stand on stage with pride and become the idol he's always dreamed to become. Now that I think about it, it seems I'd like something like Living on the Edge— except perhaps less self deprecating and angsty, but with the same determination and 'i won't give up' vibes expressed by the lyrics (such as the lines "Though my heart seems like it might break, I wonder why / I don't feel like calling it quits here at all" and "even if I compare and envy others, I can't be anyone but myself") (curiously enough, these two lines are sung by Aira in Living on the Edge 🥹 the first one featuring Tatsumi)
Speaking of Living on the Edge, an alternative theme for Aira's solo would be the feelings of envy and jealousy he feels for those that achieve what he still hasn't. This would also make the song more serious and slightly darker. But then again, that topic was already addressed in Living on the Edge, so it probably won't be the topic of his solo song, but I just wanted to mention it since these ugly feelings of envy are an important part of Aira as a character and a thing that affects many of his decisions and feelings in his stories, even though he's getting better at it and overcoming it!
Also, as a plus, I'd like that somewhere in his solo song they make a reference to the ugly duckling story... The metaphor just fits his character arc so perfectly. A duckling that has been perceived as ugly for most of his life, living a lonely existence thinking that they aren't enough and that they're disliked by everyone, for later to find a family of his own and with them realizing his own beauty and qualities.
Now, let's go with Hiiro!
Tumblr media
I would like his solo song to address at least one of 2 elements important to Hiiro's character arc that he's still on a journey to solve:
1. I wish his solo song could address his thoughts and feelings about what he wants to do with his life now that he's free from the imposed role of servitude he had under Rinne in their hometown. Hiiro finding the thing he wants to do by himself is one of the most important parts of his journey as a character—and ever since the ending of the !! Main Story, we already know he has chosen to keep going on this path to become an idol (sincerely this time, instead of it being just a means to an end to bring his brother back home), so I'd like to see Hiiro talking about how he feels about his new independence, as well as his feelings for being an idol.
2. I'd like his solo song to expand more on his feelings about the relativity of morality and justice, and how this clashes with the values he learned at his hometown about universal, unbending rules about what is right and wrong. Hiiro, at the beginning of the story, had a very strict and rigid set of morality that wasn't really his, but imposed culturally and socially by his hometown, but throughout the MS he learns that what is right and true in his hometown isn't necessarily right and true in the city, and how there're more perspectives and ways of thinking and doing things outside of the world he knew. What the narrative concluded for Hiiro is that what needs to do now is to figure out what is right and what is wrong by himself, to question everything he learns and to learn as much as he can to expand his horizons; Hiiro already has a core set of values regarding justice and morality that he truly believes in, regardless of whether or not they were taught by him by his hometown or by his stay on the city, and he's basing the rest of his decisions and thoughts from those.
(This is the theme I'd love to see explored in his solo song the most, and it's also the least likely one to be addressed in his solo lmao due to how complex it is.... but we never know! I had this idea in the first place after reading the lyrics of Vermilion —and I already made a separate post screaming about a specific part of the song in the past, but I'm bringing it back just because I can never shut up—because there's a part that says "In an autonomous life, there is meaning you'll never grasp / With the suit of your soul, persist in your belief" and I think this line puts perfectly Hiiro's dilemma: he now has an autonomous life, and with this autonomy and freedom comes the lack of a purpose in life (set by someone else, in this case), so he feels lost about what to do and about what is the meaning of his life anymore, but that the best he can do to navigate this world is to trust in himself and persists in his personal beliefs, which means deciding things on his own and coming to his own conclusions. Vermilion is a song that talks about Hiiro's sense of identity regarding his value as an autonomous person only in certain parts, so I wish Hiiro's solo expanded on those ideas planted in Vermilion that were limited to just a few lines.)
While Rinne is a very important person to Hiiro and their bond is a vital part of his character arc and story, I hope his solo song isn't directed to him or solely about him. I hope Hiiro's solo is dedicated to his own thoughts, feelings and struggles, instead of being dedicated to someone else—this would go against the whole point of Hiiro's character, who is now independent from Rinne and his own person. I know some solos are dedicated from one character to another, but it's important for Hiiro that his song is about himself, so I hope Happyele doesn't mess that up.
I would love some red swallow imagery somewhere!! That's hiiro's tagline, so I hope they use it somewhere in his solo.
Musically speaking, I think his solo will be something very Alkaloid-like—by which I mean, rock music that is very encouraging and powerful (like pretty much all Alkaloid songs). I am thinking of Vermilion or You're Speculation as examples lol.
Next, Tatsumi!
Tumblr media
I have a feeling if any solo should be sad/melancholic/angsty, it should be his... Tatsumi, despite how calm and kind he is, he is haunted by the incident with Kaname and filled with guilt. Tatsumi is extremely self sacrificing and tends to pin the fault at himself, and to top it all he also avoids relying on others and instead wants people to rely on him. Tatsumi is forcing a very lonely situation upon himself, so I kinda wish his solo song talked about the 'sins' he has committed and the regret he feels for them, and how he feels he is the only one that can carry this burden, alone.
Alternatively, I really wish his solo song addressed his faith, and I'm pretty sure it will in some way, but I have no idea in which way they could... I would like to see his solo expanding on his feelings for his religion and how it related to his wish to become an idol in the first place (Tatsumi wanted to become an idol to make his sect less stigmatized by society, since Japan isn't very accepting of those who aren't part of the main 2 beliefs of the country, Shinto or Buddhism). The topic of religion and faith with Tatsumi is extremely complex, more than you would think at first glance; we don't know his real and deeper feelings about his faith, and he seems to have an unconventional view of religion in the first place (he has only talked about his faith in more depth in Feather Touch as far as I know, and in there he makes this argument that is... very particular to say the least.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tatsumi here is saying that God may or may not exist as most of us imagine him—as a sentient otherworldly being that is omnipotent and created the world, but that God might actually be the "Thing" (Power, as he calls it) that a group of people believe in, that is what drives them and gives them strength. To me, what Tatsumi is essentially saying here is that belief itself is this Power. Belief itself, no matter to what it is, as long as it motivates you and makes many believers reshape the world a certain way, can be considered "God."
This is, of course, against not only the Catholic doctrine but against many other Christian sects' beliefs, lol. But it's interesting nonetheless. I think this might be too complex for a song to tackle by itself, but I still would like to see Tatsumi talking about God and what he believes it is, and if this Power is what led him to 'reshape' the world he knew (referencing the failed revolution at Reimei).
Musically speaking, I wonder if they could use some typical church choir instrumental in his solo? Personally I'd love to see this take place. I feel that, to fit the melancholic vibe of the solo, the song would be slow and not very energetic, though I could also see the rhythm picking up at some point (probably when the lyrics become more emotional) and become more "Alkaloid-like" where it turns powerful and encouraging instead.
I can see his solo using Latin phrases (similar to how they did in Artistic Partisan!), referencing either Christianity (using 'mea culpa' or lines of some christian prayers in latin, like the Pater Noster) or philosophy (the only example I can think of the top of my head is 'memento mori'...)
And for last, Mayoi!
Tumblr media
I think his solo will be about his own feelings of unworthiness and self depreciation, in how he feels he's evil and bad and that he can only belong in the shadows, where nobody can perceive him and he can't offend anyone with his presence. But I hope it makes emphasis in Mayoi's desire to live in the light; in how he wishes to be seen, acknowledged and loved by others, and that he's tired of admiring the lives of others from the shadows and yearning for what they have, so he himself came out from the dark to take a part of the outside world. He might be selfish and egotistical for having these wishes, but it just can't be helped.
I really love this side of Mayoi, personally, in how despite seeing himself as unworthy, he recognizes his own desire for happiness and love and has the will in him to act upon this urge. Selfishness is usually not a desirable thing, but in Mayoi's case, I believe it should be forgiven and even encouraged.
I really agree with you and your idea of his solo being like Phantom of the Opera! I imagine his solo being like a rock opera, very powerful that makes full use of Mayoi's unique vocals and range.
I think these are all my thoughts.... I apologize if it was way longer and more complicated than you asked for lmao.
But still, I wish to remain without expectations for their solos so I can appreciate them for what they are and analyze them correctly the day they release!
I also don't claim to be making predictions with any of these! These are just my delusions, ramblings and wishes as an AlkaP that loves these 4 boys way too much shdjfkg

DK seems sneaky and seedy. Despite hating VK for a longtime, I will admit she was and is way more successful and professional at her job and I think she has probably always wanted to maintain a "certain image" about herself in order to get the high profile gigs like she typically gets. If you really think about it, she never really does too revealing or raunchy photoshoots and usually dresses classy off camera, and by the looks of this new modelita gf, she on the other hand does seem willing to do revealing and raunchy based on the several nude pics on her IG etc. A lot of her "poses" are very sexual in nature and so are her choices of "clothes" or lack thereof. Which leads me to believe that she is the type of person to you know...
"do anything to get ahead". (And VK haters please ignore this message and move on all together since I know for a fact this post is gonna trigger tf out of you) Anyway my point is, VK is where she is at today because she has always tried to keep it as classy as possible even when she wears revealing clothes you can just tell the difference between her poses and DK's poses. And I think a lot of that has to do because VK's mom was her manager for the longest time since she was little girl and apparently also had previous modeling experience herself and therefore was able to be a much better mentor who could guide her in the right direction career-wise as opposed to DK who most likely had to figure out the modeling world all by herself with little to no guidance so it's very easy to accept whatever shitty job offers that came her way that might require seedy nudity or wearing next to nothing for a crap paycheck. From what I've researched about DK so far, she was supposedly "discovered" in her hometown in Russia as a teen at some casting call and had no previous experience in modeling, (and btw DK is not from Moscow like VK is, she is from some small city about 11 hours away which means her first agent was most likely not as good as the ones in the capital just sayin'). Which leads me to believe she accepted a lot of trashy shoots along the way and most likely still does based on her pics. Aside from both of their personal lives' poor decision to be involved with a man old enough to be their father who is clearly only taking advantage of them for his own selfish gain, I think VK is the the ultimate winner here, because even with JL out the picture, and even if Dimitri was out of the picture, she still has a very successful career and one of the best modeling experience on her résumé to keep her afloat in life on her own whereas DK will need some kind of miracle to achieve that same level of success because she's considered "too old" now in that industry to catch up. So it's not surprising that she always seems so willing to take her clothes off both on and off camera. That's why I wouldn't put it past her to be sneaky like poke a hole in the condom etc., because she knows she won't make it on her own once she's too old for modeling and JL.
Sorry for such a long message K, but just wanted to give my two cents. And this is coming from a former VK hater! (But still don't like her that much tho lol)
I hope you have a good day! :)
***
Thanks, anon! Have a nice weekend! 🌺
Yeah if she's blabbing about JL on socials then she def has not yet fully understood how she is expected to behave is she intends on continuing this little "thing" with her new crushy crush... 👀
A model like Dasha COULD benefit from a hugher profile thanks to a convenient boyfie, cos let's face it she really hasn't made much of a mark in the modeling world and at her age she's already well past her prime.
By 25 VK was waaaaaaaay past the point where Dasha is now, and models do not get better with age...! 🙈

Hey guys! I'm back from my little break! Sorry for talking so long, but now I'm back and that's all that matters! So now let's get to the imagine!
(Btw this is gender neutral)
---------------------------------------------------
You're all that I want
Tumblr media
Tw: mentions of food and drinking water, kissing, mentions of making out (let me know if I missed something)
Genre: Fluff
------------------------------------
It was currently 10 p.m. and you were with the boys of P1h on their practice room. You were Theo's best friend and he invited you to come see him practice, because he knew how much you liked to watch him perform.
"Hey guys, what if we played something?" Jiung suggested as he took the final bite out of his food.
The members had already finished practice and you guys were all just talking, eating and goofing around as usual.
"Sure, but what should we play?" Intak asked as he too finished eating.
"Well we could play truth or dare!" Keeho said excitedly as he picked up his water bottle to take a sip.
"Okay, sounds good! What do you think Y/n?" Theo asked while he softly looked at you.
"I'm down!" You said as you becme shy due to Theo's gaze.
"Me too!" Said Jongseob as he smiled.
"Yeah, let's play!" Soul said as he clung onto Keeho.
"Okay I'll start!" Jiung said. "Uhmm... Jongseob, truth or dare?"
"I'm going with truth!"
"Is it true that you think you're better than Eminem?"
"WHAT? OF COURSE I AM!" Jongseob said as we all started laughing out loud at the youngest's confession.
"Okay Jeminem it's your turn!" Jiung said as he wiped a tear that he shed because of laughing.
The game went on for a while and everyone was getting kind of tired and besides that you still had to clean up the place before going home! So you agreed to play one more time and then everyone would clean up, but things didn't really work like that.
"Okay, Theo truth or dare?" Intak asked like an excited puppy.
"I want to go with... Dare!" Theo answered while smiling. God his smile was beautiful.
"Well..." Intak started but stopped when Keeho whispered something that made the puppy like male smirk. "I dare you to stay here with Y/n and clean up!" He said and everyone besides you and Theo started cheering.
"You can't do that! We all agreed to clean up together!" Theo said trying to sound mad, but he sounded quite excited... Did he want to be alone with you?
"A dare is a dare my dear friend! So have fun cleaning up!" Keeho said while smiling.
"Do I not get a say in this?" You asked kind if shocked by the while situation.
"Well... No! Bye bye!" Intak said as he waved goodbye left the room with the other members following suit.
"Jeez! Sorry that this happened!" Theo said while looking at you with an apologetic look.
"It's fine Taeyang! It isn't your fault! And at least we have each other's company while we clean up!" You said as you smiled at him.
"Yeah you're right let's clean up so we can go rest! I'm sure you're tired!" He said as he patted your head softly.
"But definitly not as tired as you are! You killed it during practice!" You said smiling att the blush forming on his cheeks.
"Thanks Y/n, that means a lot coming from you!" He said as you guys started cleaning up.
Your little cleaning session was made up of you guys talking about random events that had been happening and laughing with each other while cleaning the mess on the floor. Once you were finished you went to the door to open it in order to walk home.
"No no no no no no!" Theo said as he pulled the doorknob as hard as he could.
"What's wrong Tae? Why isn't it opening?" You asked as you watched the boy in front of you struggle.
"It's locked! The boys must have locked it out of habit! Oh my god and they're probably already at the dorm!" He said as he put his hands through his hair.
"Okay let's calm down! You can just call one of the boys or something and they can come unlock it!"
"You're right, you're right!" Theo said as he picked up his phone to call Jiung since he was the last one to exit the practice room.
"Hello?" Jiung said.
"Hey Ji, uhm did you lock the practice room door?" Theo asked trying to sound as calm and collected as he could.
"Uhm no I didn't! I even left the key next to your bag so you wouldn't forget to lock it when you're done."
"WHAT? THEN WHY DOESN'T THE DOOR OPEN???" Theo said very distressed and because of that you put your hands on his shoulders in order to calm him down.
"Bro I don't think anyone is is the company at this time! You'll probably have to wait until tomorrow but I'll see what I can do!
"Alright thanks, I guess." Theo said.
"Bye!"
"Bye." Theo ended the call with a stressed look on his face. It's not that he didn't want to be with you, it's the fact that he feels bad that you had to be dragged into this situation.
"Calm down Theo, we'll figure something out! But now while you seem stressed we should distract ourselves alright? Now come here, I can tell you need a good hug right now." You said in a soft tone while you opened your arms for Theo and he gladly wrapped his arms around your body in hopes to relax and feel some warmth. You really loved being hugged by him.
Some time passed and you guys finally let go of the hug while making eye contact with each other, but you broke it off for being too shy to look at him for any longer.
"Uhm.. How about we talk about our first times doing things! Like your first time riding a bike and stuff like that!" Theo said as he still had his hands rubbing up and down on your arms.
"Sure! That sounds fun. Who's going first?" You asked as you both took a sit on the now clean ground.
"I can start and ask you something if you don't mind!" Theo said gently.
"Of course! Go ahead!" You answered while showing a small smile to Theo.
"Okay then, your first time having a partner, like romantically. How was it?" He asked with a teasing smile on his cute face.
"Oh my god! Well it was in middle school I think! The most we ever did was hold hands and then he broke up with me because my hands were too sweaty!"
"Really?!? Oh wow!" He said as he started laughing at your story.
"Yeah, oh well. It's my turn now! Let me think... How about your first kiss?" You asked innocently, waiting for his answer.
"Oh uhm this is embarassing actually, but I've never kissed anyone before." Theo said as he scratched his neck and laughed awkwardly.
"Oh it's okay Taeyang! You don't need to have had your first kiss at a certain age! If you didn't find the one yet, then just wait! It's better to wait to have it with the right person than to just have it to get it over with, you know?" You said reassuringly as you grabbed his hand and rubbed soft circles on it.
"Yeah I guess, but I think I already found someone." He said still not looking in your eyes.
Even though you were his best friend, you had strong feelings for him and the fact that he said this kind of hurt your feelings, but you couldn't just ruin what you had with him. You'd much rather have him as your best friend than not having him close to you at all.
"Oh, that's great Theo! You should tell them!" You said with a heavy heart.
"Well, I think I already made it obvious to who I like, but I don't know if they got the memo." He said as he finally looked at you blushing.
"Do you think the person likes you back?"
"I mean, everytime I display affection, they blush and they always hug me longer, but they might just not want to appear cold, so they reciprocate the affection."
"Maybe you should tell them clearly that you like them!" You said while looking down at your feet.
"But the thing is I'm awful with words!" Theo said while running one of his hands through his pink hair (I know his hair is not pink right now, but I pictured Theo from the image above for this imagine).
"Then maybe a certain gesture, like gift them something, like a letter or whatever." You said hoping he'd let this topic go.
"You're right! I can do a gesture, but maybe I could do something that would show my love to the person through affection... I COULD KISS THEM! Oh wait but I don't know how to do that... YOU COULD TEACH ME!"
"CHOI TAEYANG ARE YOU OFFICIALLY OUT OF YOUR DAMN MIND?" You yelled as you were shocked he would ask you such a thing.
I mean, sure, you always wanted to kiss Theo, but not just as a one time thing... You wanted him to be yours only.
"C'mon! I trust you with my life and I promise you that things won't stay awkward afterwards! Please! For me!" Theo said as he kneeled in front of you with both of his hands clasped together as he gave you puppy eyes.
You weren't going to accept, but then you thought this might be your only chance to kiss him, and as selfish as it sounds you wanted him just for yourself and for a moment you could have that.
"Fine, but just this once!"
"THANK YOU! YOU'RE THE BEST! I LOVE YOU!!" Theo said as he hugged you so hard you both fell down.
"Y-you're welcome." You said shyly, because of the proximity between you two.
"Can we stand up for this? I think I'm tired of sitting down!" Theo said as he stood up and straightened his back.
"Sure, it's fine! Wow! I never thought I'd be in this position with you!" You said as you both giggled softly.
"Well, but you are! Better make the most of it!" If only he knew.
"Okay now, for this you should be holding the person you're going to kiss in a way that's comfortable with them."
"Okay, since I'm kissing you, what do you prefer?"
"Well you can put your hands around my waist if that's okay with you!" And as you said this, his hands were around your waist and he was smiling sweetly in your direction.
"Right, what's next!" He asked enthusiastically.
"Well now you need to get closer and just do it. You need to move your lips against your partner's in a way that you enjoy, this doesn't have some sort of formula or something, you just have to go with the flow. And you might wanna picture that I'm the person you like so it's more enjoyable for you!"
He got closer to you as your lips were barely touching as he said "I don't need to imagine anything, when you're standing right in front of me. You're all that I want."
You barely had time to process what he said because he looked in your eyes and closed the gap between your lips softly and you felt as if you were on cloud 9.
You guys were lost in each other's lips. For someone who never kissed someone in his life, Theo was amazing. Your lips fit against each other's perfectly.
He moved his lips against yours in a very slow motion, almost as if he was calculating what his next move would be. You mentally gasped when he took one of his hands that was on your waist and put it in your hair as he deepened the kiss. You didn't feel fireworks like they all mentions in the movies and books, but instead you felt warmth, you felt loved, you felt high on his lips, and you never felt this way with anyone ever.
You and Taeyang kept making out. It seemed like you just couldn't get enough of each other. As if the moment you let go, the world would end. But much to your dismay, Theo pulled away from the kiss to breathe and you couldn't get enough of the sight in front of you. Your favourite boy was standing in front of you with his hair disheveled, lips slightly red and a boyish smile on his face.
"Are you sure you never kissed before? Because my god!" You said as he giggled and pecked your cheek softly, a gesture that made you blush.
"And also, what you said before you kissed me... Did you mean it? Do you like me?" You asked as your voice only got smaller. But by the look on Taeyang's face he still heard you.
"I do mean it, I always did! And I should have confessed first and then I should have courted you and only then kissed you. But I just saw an opportubity and took it. But I truly had never kissed anyone before, you were my first!!" Theo said as he smiled at you.
You didn't have words to answer so you just put your arms around his neck and kissed him as passionately as you could. Theo reciprocated the kiss and this time he went all out and even dared to lick your bottom lip, a gesture that surprised you to say the least but you granted him entrance anyway. Your tongues moved in sync as you held on tighter if that was even possible.
You didn't realise how long you guys were making out until you heard the door open.
"Guys we made I-OH MY GOD MY VIRGIN EYES!" Intak yelled as he appeared shocked by the scene before his eyes.
You guys quickly pulled away and soon the members entered the practice room and they rapidly caught on what happened as your guys' lips were slightly swollen and your hair was a mess.
"Theo! I didn't know you had that in you man!" Jiung said as he put his arm around Taeyang's shoulder. "And Y/n, I'm glad you like our Theo back! He never shuts up about you! It's always Y/n this, Y/n tha-"
"Alright! They get it Jiung! Now let's go to the dorm, me and Y/n are tired" Theo said as he interwined your fingers.
"I wonder why you're tir-OW! WHAT DID YOU HIT ME FOR?" Keeho yelped as Theo smacked the back of his head.
You all went out to the dorm and while in the van you and Theo couldn't help but share small kisses to express how happy you were. Not only you got to kiss Theo as he is now your lovely boyfriend!
---------------------------------------------------
Hope you liked this imagine guys! I decided to post it sooner to be able to finish Intak's imagine in time for his birthday! By the way this wasn't proofread so if there are any mistakes I'm sorry! Let me know what you thought of this and please do request something if you want to! Love you guys 💖💖

How to Teambuild on ARB And Score the Highest
Yes, even if you can’t read Japanese because I can’t either
Hey y’all, it’s Picklesz and here I am for a post I don’t think has been made yet! Although I can find some translations I don’t think anybody has made a guide on how to score the highest in this game, and with the advent of tiering — or you just want to high score contest all the songs — I think this may be helpful for newcomers or people who simply don’t know what the card skills mean (it took me a while to memorize them all too). And has someone who has played the game since day one, I know my way around things :)
Disclaimer that this is based on my own research from playing the game for over a year and figuring out what's good myself although I think I am right
Anyways, on with the guide!
What Actually Matters?
In ARB, there are a few things that matter when you build a team, some way more important than others. Namely, there are three things. In order of most importance:
1. Leader Skill
This is clearly the most important. Leader skill determines how much of a stat boost you will get, and some of them won't apply unless you meet certain criteria (but more on that later).
2. Auto Skill
Auto Skill determines what boost you get while playing a song. These can either make passing the song easier or increase your score: obviously you want increasing your score if you want to score the highest.
3. Stat Synergy with the Leader Skill
The least important but should at least be mentioned. Leader skills can boost one, two, or three stats (though there's only two cards in the game that I know of that increase three stats). If you get late game, you'll want to have all your cards in your team to have their highest stat/stats be the one that the leader increases.
I will be going over all these in depth! So lets start with the most important one.
Leader Skills
Leader skills are the first thing you need to think about when building your team. Generally, there are only two leader skills that you want when building your team: multi-division and division only. These skills, however, have specific requirements; if you don't meet them, your skill will not activate. Multi-division requires that the cards on your team be from three or more divisions, while division only requires that all your cards be from the same division.
These skills are the best skills because they have a higher boost than all up and division up (division only and division up are different). If your leader skill is maxed, multi-division and division only will boost your stats by 120% while all up and division up will only be 90%. Even their level one are better, so unless you have a maxed all up card and not a multi-division/division only, you should always be using one of those two skills.
Examples of the skills:
Tumblr media
The text on the right side of the slash signifies what type of leader skill it is, this one multi-division. Notice how the text below has 120% in it...
Tumblr media
While this card only has 90%. This skill is all up, and as stated earlier is less than either multi-division or division only adds up to.
Tumblr media
So when it comes to division up and division only, how can you tell the difference? This card is an MTC only card. Notice how it has character after MTC...
Tumblr media
While this one does not. This one is simple division only, division being MTC on this one. These type of cards will all have their division abbreviation to tell you which one it is (BB, MTC, FP, M, BAT, and DH).
So, how do you upgrade these cards to get to the 120% percent? Well, there's two ways: star pieces and leader skill tokens.
Star pieces you can use on any card! You can get them from tiering in events and in the biscuit shop once a month. However, you can only get the gold biscuits to buy them from selling SSRs and SRs, so I recommend selling dupes from the event box that you don't want to get these and use them on cards you do want.
Leader skill tokens you can also use on any card but there is no way to actually get them. You have to wait until ARB decides to give them out, usually on half-anniversary or anniversary - that's the only time we've got them in the past.
One last thing: in the long run, you want a leader skill that increases one stat only. This is because the boost stacks much better when it increase one stat by 120% rather than two stats by 60% (all stats doesn't exist on any multi-division or division only card so don't worry about it). You can tell if it increases one or two stats, because one stat will say 120% in the description while two stats will say 60%. However it's really not a big deal unless you really need those few thousand extra points and you have like. Ten maxed cards so you can afford to be picky.
Auto Skills
The bread and butter of your team. While you only need one card to have a good leader skill, ideally every member of your team will have a good auto skill that boosts your score (from here on out, I will be referring to score boosts as simply boosts).
So what is a good auto skill? Well, if you're just starting out, it's any skill that scores, but if you want to score the highest there are four specific skills you want: critical tap, combo boost, perfect boost, and tap boost. Don't worry, I will actually be at least briefly going over every auto skill because there are a LOT and being able to recognize the text for each one is important (although unfortunately due to the ten image limit I can only show pictures of the best ones 😭). So in order of best to worst, here are all the auto skills!
Critical Tap
Tumblr media
Look for 4% in the auto skill description!
Easily the best auto skill. It gives you a 4% boost on all notes, with the caveat of being the timing on notes gets stricter. You can disregard that because it literally does not matter if you get a perfect or not when you are getting a 4% boost on every note you tap and if you're reading this guide you're probably getting full combo anyways. This the the highest boost you can get on every single note so having at least one of these is amazing.
Combo Boost
Tumblr media
Look for 3% in the auto skill description!
Basically a poor mans critical tap. You get a 3% boost on all notes as you as you keep your combo. Again, most of y'all are probably getting full combo anyways and if not you can always use the autoplay cassettes!
Perfect Boost
Tumblr media
Look for the word "perfect" and 3% in the description!
A poor mans combo boost (see the pattern here?). You get a 3% boost on all notes as long as they are perfects. You probably shouldn't use this with critical tap if you don't get a lot of perfects as the timing gets harder but it still is the third best auto skill.
Tap Boost
Tumblr media
Look for 1% followed by 3% in the description!
Lastly, the poor mans perfect boost. You get a 1% boost on all notes except tap notes; you get a 3% boost on tap notes. As the overwhelming majority of notes are tap notes, you can essentially disregard the 1% part unless you are playing Ore Ga Ichiro which I swear has a flick note every other note.
Those are the best auto skills in the game, however there are many others. I'll go over them all briefly here :)
Scratch Note Boost
Look for 2% followed by 6% in the description!
You get a 2% boost on all notes except scratch notes; you get a 6% boost on scratch notes. The 6% boost sounds nice except you rarely have scratch notes so uh. 2% boost on all notes is not very good.
btw the green notes are scratch notes if you didn't know
Long Note Boost
Look for 2% followed by 3% in the description!
You get a 2% boost on all notes except long notes; you get a 3% boost on long notes. This doesn't even have a niche because you can literally get a 3% boost on every note with combo or perfect and a 4% boost with critical tap. Literally what were they thinking when they made this skill. Don’t use it.
Flick Note Boost
Look for 2% followed by 15% in the description!
You get a 2% boost on all notes except flick notes; you get a 15% boost on flick notes. That sounds nice until you again remember you rarely have flick notes except when playing Ore Ga Ichiro Part A. In fact, some songs like Sensenfunkuukou Part A (god I hope I spelled that right, Jiro's first solo if I didn't) don't have a single flick note in it despite the fact they give this skill to every Buster Bro event card I swear. So really just stay away from this one too.
Perfect Up
Don't look for anything this skill sucks 😭 but for real this skill will simply have the word "perfect" in the description.
PLESE DO NOT USE THIS SKILL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. This skill makes all of your notes perfects. It does NOT score at all. If you are aiming to score obviously you do not want a skill that doesn't not score. I am so sorry if you rerolled for ARB Riou or Dice back in the day because they both have this skill and it SUCKS and does NOTHING.
Um. Anyways. Here're info on how to upgrade skills and what they do!
You can upgrade your skills with either skill tokens or rainbow auto skill tokens. Upgrading your auto skill makes your skill last for longer whenever it activates and will have a shorter time in between activations, so you definitely want to upgrade them.
You can buy skill tokens in the event shop, biscuit shop, or coin shop. You need three mic tokens and ten attribute tokens for every level, and once you hit level 5, you need specific division tokens as well. It is pretty expensive but it does get easier over time to stockpile.
The rainbow auto skill token you can only get either when they give them out OR you completely empty the event box of the rate up card. Once you do that, they replace the rate up card with the rainbow auto skill token. You have to either be ridiculously lucky in the box or spend every minute in the game or both to do this, but it is possible.
Now that that long section is over, on to the last part of this guide!
Stat Synergy with Your Leader Skill
As alluded to earlier, you eventually want all your cards highest stats to be the stat your leader skill boosts. Honestly, you should NOT worry about this until you have several maxed auto skill cards and a maxed leader skill to use it with. But for those who are at that point, here's an example of the stat synergy I am talking about.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
These teams technically have the same skills (the Jyuto and Riou card I switched have the same auto skills). In fact, on paper the second team should score higher because I've upgraded the Jyuto card's leader skill so his power score is higher than Riou's. But because their stats are different, the Riou card actually works better on this team because it works better in line with the leader skill and leads to the teams ultimate power score being 2,000 points higher, a pretty noticeable difference.
The case is not always so clear cut, because, well, not all cards have the same auto skill. But if you want to score the highest, especially if you are tiering, you will want to keep this in mind.
So how do you figure out the trade-off between stats and skill when the cards you are switching don't have the same auto skill? Honestly, you just have to play a no attribute song twice and find out :( I don't have a surefire way to track this. In my experience if you are debating between two cards and one of them is Riou the Riou card always scores higher. I do not know why and that is probably just me because I own all of his event cards but uh. Put Riou card on your team :)
Anyways! To increase your stats you actually have to enhance the leader skill of your card. Those ways were outlined earlier, but this part of the guide is why I actually recommend you enhance event cards of characters with good auto skills that you KNOW you are going to use. If they have a good auto skill you can get a max card with maxed stats for free! Again I would not do this unless they have auto skill and you WILL use them since it takes a lot of time but it is totally worth it.
That's all for my teambuilding guide! If you guys would like to see more guides on ARB I am more than happy to make more! Feel free to send my any questions through my ask or reblog and ask :) Take care!

Aaaahhh Mera, I just saw your responses about Winter's Bride and I see that your thought process is very complicated 😅 It's not a bad thing tho, it's very amazing honestly. I can only hope to pull the same thing as you bc I'm a very surface type of person. Not necessarily shallow y'know, it's just some of the deeper things often pass by from my mind. My stories themselves tend to focus on one thing only, like if the theme is escaping then it's gonna focus on escaping. I sprinkle some background so the readers won't feel entirely lost, but that's it. I have a one-track mind 😌
Btw, what do you focus more when writing stories? I focus more on conflicts. If there's no conflict, then I won't know what to write. I can't write smth purely about MC's feelings bc... I'm not very introspective lol. I just know the basics like "oh my heart's beating very fast rn, that means I'm nervous? What am I nervous about?" Feeling is like a deep rabbit hole that I don't really like to indulge often bc it's scary lol, which is why my stories can seem bland/cold (imo), sometimes dreadful if I pour enough emotions.
I also like to describe the physical backgrounds, and if it's too vague (bc I often write about the Diasomnia quartet's hometown and castle, and they haven't been revealed yet), I'll feel rather unsatisfied. I just like that lil moment where I look up the name of this thing/room bc it's very purposeful to me. I'm not one to search for things randomly 😅
Sorry for rambling lol, I just wanna share some of my thought processes with a fellow writer.
I never realized it could be so complicated until I was going through old WIPs and reading up on the outlines for each. ^^;; I really put so much thought into the smallest of details.
Focusing on one theme makes sense! I’ll usually base some of my stories around a central theme and branch off from there with smaller things that tie into the main idea (if that makes sense).
As for what I tend to focus on, that’s a little tough because there are so many different things to focus on depending on the type of story! I absolutely love mind games and psychological twists in stories (if you couldn’t tell lol), so some of my fics have a focus on that. But I also like to focus on the relationship between the characters and how they interact/grow or how their relationship falls apart. I’m really into psychology and most of it is just me wondering what makes that specific character tick.
Such as, how long would darling have to be stalked for them to finally snap or start looking for ways to get away? Or what about the darling makes the yan fall head over heels? Why are they even chasing after this person? Did events in their past shape their obsessive habits in some way? And what sort of yandere are they and what makes them so dangerous? Lots of fun questions I consider when characterizing yans!
If I make the reader into a villain of sorts (such as in Cat’s Cradle and in other upcoming fics), I’ll think about what drove them to do the things they did and how they continue to live after everything that’s happened. I like putting the characters in stressful or tense situations and writing about whether or not they’ll break. It’s interesting to consider what part of them breaks and it’s especially fun when you have characters who will deliberately lead you on despite knowing the truth just to get a reaction.
Physical backgrounds are great, too! If I want to describe an opulent room, I’ll look at images of expensive and fancy rooms/houses. If I want to describe something decrepit and lonely, I’ll look at images of abandoned places. I like physical backgrounds because it’s something you can use to imagine yourself in that setting. I’ll admit I often spend way too much time researching all sorts of things so I can make sure the information in the story is accurate. Writing just teaches you how to enjoy something as tedious as researching, so at least that’s a plus! 😂
Your thought process is really neat! It’s cool to learn about it and see how you apply certain aspects of your process into your stories! :D So thank you so much for sharing with me! I like talking about these things.

hello web! hope you're doing well :D just out of curiosity, how do you collect material for your web weaves? what's your creative process like? big fan of your work <3
Omg thank you so much!!! I'm doing okay, have been very busy with some stuff tho (so sorry for the lack of original content 😅). I will get back into it soon tho, already have some stuff in the making!
I have already answered asks about where exactly do I get all the materials I use from, so I won't elaborate on that part, but here is my normal process: (it's under Read More bc the post turned out longer that I expected haha)
• Starting point is either me getting a request, or my brain going "haha remember that quote/image you saw on tumblr 2 weeks ago? would it be fucked up or what to connect it with a character you like?" (btw in that case I almost never end up using the original quote/image that gave me inspiration for some reason)
• Then I outline some key words about the web weaving I am going to make. I usually go for very abstract and broad concepts, so I can encounter some more interesting stuff. Around that stage I also visualize what exact media I would like to use. Basically, when I go into the "search for the stuff to use" part, I already have a pretty clear understanding of what I will be going for
• And then I go through the websites, Tumblr tags and online archives looking for stuff. I start by searching for stuff relating to my key words, then based on what u find, I can change things up. Actually, about 90% of the time, my website turn out really different from how I imagined them to be at first, just because I encounter some interesting things that I like more. For example, my first knifetrick web weaving wasn't supposed to be centered around the theme of hands at all - the thing I started with was that quote about Jackie laughing like a seagull or something, and I never ended up using it. But even if I throw all of my plans in the window, I wouldn't say that visualisation and coming up with concepts is meaningless work - if you have a direction to move in, you won't be overwhelmed with options.
If I see something that I can't use for a certain theme/character, but I think may be useful for something else, I save it too, so it makes the work a bit easier in future. To avoid all those different things cluttering in my Downloads, I keep separate folders for each web I am working on/could potentially do.
This is definitely the longest part of my work process, partly because despite the 10 image limit per post Tumblr has, I usually save much more stuff to use for each web weaving.
• Compiling/formatting this all in a post and giving credit is the last thing I do. Since I have an excess of material, I have to think what I will keep. My main priorities are 1) matching the theme and 2) keeping a consistent look. With quotes/song lyrics I sometimes can copy paste them into a google doc and play around with fonts, text and background colors. Then I think of positioning it all, which is more important than you may think. In my dsmp!tommyinnit web the colors in both the text and images go from warm orange/yellow hues to grey (it's more obvious with pictures tbh), as a way to symbolize a feeling of desperation and loneliness settling in. I don't even know how many people notice stuff like that, but it's important to me, so I do it. Last thing is putting down the credits (Don't forget your credits, kids!!). Usually it's formatted like [title of the media], [authors name], and images get links to sources :].
That's pretty much it! One web takes me around 4 hours to finish, so it's a pretty long process, and I put a lot of thoughts behind it all :] Sorry it's so long, I am actually glad I had an opportunity to share a little step by step! :D

23,38 and 46. With Jester where the M9 is going out to this mission that was was assigned to them but won't take the kid, we get in a argument with Jester about it and we run off ,then traveler finds us and it convinces us to go find them and save them. (SORRY IF THIS TO TOO MUCH! keep it up btw :3)
Conflict…… I love it, and don’t worry it’s not too much. Actually I’m not sure what to consider "too much" just yet, I guess I’ll cross that barrier when it’s reached but for now… conflict 😁
Divine Intervention
Child of the Nein (Jester & Child!Reader)
23- That's not fair! 38- I hate you, 46- You came back
Doing odd jobs for people was both a nice way to help the small communities and make some nice cash for future shopping needs. The town you’d stumbled in was paying a generous reward to anyone who could deal with the chimera that’s been terrorizing the place. The Nein were in one room discussing their course of action while you were in another, happily jotting down in the notebook Jester gave you some little doodles of you fighting the beast as if you’d already won. The door creaks open and Jester walks in, you bounce up to her not noticing the nervous look on her face.
"You’re back! That means you’re all done talking and we can go kick some chimera butt." You say pumping your fist in the air.
"Yeah, ummm, about that…" her voices trails off a little, you still none the wiser as you grab her hand.
"C'mon, c'mon, we can’t keep everyone waiting!"
"(Y/n), I know you’re excited but-"
"Just tell me about it on the way there!" You quickly cut her off before she can finish, making your way to the door.
"Your not coming!" You pause, the smile on your face instantly disappearing as you turn to look at Jester confused. "We were all talking and have decided that you should stay here." She spoke slowly as if having a hard time speaking her words aloud.
"But… but why not?" You look at her with big eyes, she rubs at her shoulders, clearly up having a hard time with this.
"It’s just that this could be really dangerous and we don’t want anything bad happening to you."
"That’s it!?" Your confusion and disappointment bubbled into anger. "We’ve been in lots of dangerous fights before, why is this so different? I know how to handle myself, I can fight!" You argue, Jester bites at her lip.
"I know you can, but you’re also still little and you don’t have a lot of experience, so you can’t come." She crosses her arms and gives you a hard look, your growing anger refuses to let you give up.
"That’s not fair! I’ll never get to learn if I don’t try! What happened to us being the unstoppable team? It’s not fair!" Tears stream down your face as you stomp your feet around and flail your arms up and down in frustration. For a moment Jester looks like she’s about to cave but she shakes her head and looks at you with a stern look.
"That’s enough (y/n). I have to learn to take responsibility for you and I say you’re not coming, that’s final!" You both stare at each other for a second try to make the other back down, when neither one of you does you scream in frustration.
"I hate you!" You yell then quickly turn and dash out the door before you can see Jester's look of pure heartbreak.
"Wait (y/n), come back!" Jester calls to your retreating form, but you were already too far to hear her. She tries to go after you but is stopped by Caleb and Beau.
"We need to leave, now." Caleb simply says.
"I-but I…" Jester shifts her gaze from them to the direction you’d run off in.
"Look," Beau sighs, "whatever it is that’s bothering you will have to wait till we get back." Jester takes one last look at where you’d been then gives a sad nod and follows after them, but not before giving a silent prayer to the Traveler to watch over you.
You were sat by a small pond in town staring at the reflections in the water seeing birds flying around freely in the bright and beautiful sky, you grab a stone and chuck it into the pond making the image shift and shake, than another. Soon you were standing and grabbing whatever seemed close enough to you, throwing them into the pond watching the reflection ripple around before settling down again every time. You reel your hand back but stop yourself this time before throwing the object and stare at it, this was the holy symbol to the Traveler Jester made for you and you almost threw it away. You grip the item tightly and hold it to your chest remembering and feeling guilty about what you shouted at her earlier, slowly sinking back down onto your knees. You hear a soft sigh, seeing a second presents approach you out of the corner of your eye.
"This sour look on your face really doesn’t suit you, I much prefer it when you’re smiling." You turn your head and stare in awe at the clocked figure that takes a seat next to you.
"It’s really you." You speak softly, still absolutely starstruck that you were talking with the very deity Jester's told you so much about and the one you'd come to serve as a paladin to. You hear a chuckle come from them.
"Tell me child, why are you here instead of with everyone else?" You tilt your head in confusion at his question, he should already have known the answer to that.
"I thought you knew everything, so you must have heard me and Jester argue earlier."
"Indeed… I just wished to hear it from you," he pauses a moment. "An unfortunate thing for me to watch really. I rather like seeing the two of you working together to cause such marvellous chaos. Now why don’t you get up and rejoin them."
"But I can’t! Jester said I had to stay here." You cross your arms and pout a little.
"Now when have rules like this stopped you from doing something fun." You look at him again and can see a devious smirk from under the large hood. "If you ask me, rules are more like highly regarded or overly glorified… suggestions others choose to follow, when nessessary." The Traveler hums, you were slowly starting to get the idea being placed before you.
"You really think it’s okay?"
"Oh absolutely, and if they ask you just tell them I was the one to send you there." Your smile brightens for a second but drops when you realize something.
"Wait but I don’t know where they are!" You look to him with concern, he raises his hand and licks at his fingers? Strange, but who were you to question his methods. He then points towards a rocky hillside area.
"If you head in this direction you’ll find where they are, and if you hurry you’ll make it just in time too."
"In time for what?" You ask, feeling him place a gentle hand on top of your head. He leans in a little closer and says.
"Why, in time for them to see just what a paladin of the Traveler can really do." You smile at this and quickly go grab your gear, you take one look behind your shoulder and see that the Traveler was now nowhere in sight but sensed he was still watching over you.
With everything ready you run off in the direction the Traveler had shown you and it’s not long until you find a rather large cave entrance amongst the rocks. There was something about this cave that, when you entered, made you feel icky. As you walk deeper you tap into your Divine Sense in hopes that it’ll help you find the source and to your surprise you were able to detect something fiendish just within your senses radius and decide to follow the awful scent. As you follow your senses you can’t help but wonder what sort of fiend would be here, and more importantly weren’t you supposed to be fighting a chimera. You find your answer when you reach a pitted out area, the source your senses lead you to was in fact a chimera but it was far different then what books have described. It still had the heads of a goat, lion and dragon but it’s wings were more bat-like, it’s tail was that of a scorpions and it had quills on its body like a porcupines, not to mention its abnormally large size and the odd chains that wrapped around its body. The Mighty Nein were down there fighting the beast, they all looked badly roughed up though the chimera itself also looked pretty beaten but not as badly it seemed. It lets out a variety of snarls as it closes in on everyone, you had to think fast, looking at the chimera you notice that the chains on it all linked to one spot on its back where a mysterious stone was wedged into it, that stone had to be the source of the fiendish energy you detected. The only way to get to it was to get onto the chimeras back, fortunately it was in this pit but you were gonna need to make some good distance if you wanted this to work. The chimera swats at the everyone scattering the group to get out of the way its sights then set to the nearest target and as luck would have it that target was Jester. You had a plan, would it actually work you weren’t sure, but you prayed to the Traveler for help and take a few steps back then sprint forward using a combination of the Grease spell you knew and your shield to slide gaining an extra boost of speed. You rocket off the edge and kick off your shield for even more distance, by some divine miracle you managed enough distance to arc yourself right on target with the chained stone. With a loud battle cry, using all your strength and help of gravity you bash your mace into the stone using up a Divine Smite for extra power, so when you hit the stone a large and bright burst of green light pulses from the chimeras back and you hear a loud crack as the stone shatters into pieces the energy within shooting up into the air before dispersing into nothing. Chains clatter to the ground and the chimera collapses, shrinking in size and its extra features revert back into their intended form, you tumble to the ground in a not so graceful way but you didn’t care. The party stares at you in silence and you look over at Jester who slowly picks herself up and you can see tears in her eyes. You run to her ignoring everyone else and practically jump into her waiting arms.
"You came back." Her voice teeters close to a sob while you both share in a much needed hug.
"I’m sorry about what I said, I didn’t mean it, I don’t hate you." You on the other hand couldn’t stop your sobbing, and feel her press a soft kiss to the top of your head. You stay like this for a little while, no one bothering to interject with your sweet little moment.
"How were you able to find us?" Jester asks when you finally break the hug.
"The Traveler came to me, he showed me." You say with a smile, Jester stares shocked for a second then a large smile of her own spreads across her face.
"Isn’t he the best." She says more as a statement, one you nod eagerly to.
"I don’t mean to interrupt, but we should be gettin' out of here." Fjord steps in, pointing to everyone else who were waiting somewhat impatiently. You both give him a nod and make your way back out of the cave.
"I told you all we should’ve brought (y/n) with us." Jester huffs a little.
"It seems you were right," Caleb says then looks to you. "We never should’ve underestimated your abilities." You just give them all a nice smile.
A little ways away a clocked figure watches the party leave the cave, casual banter and laughs now being shared with everyone, the cloaked figure gives a sigh of relief before disappearing from plain sight.

Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder rant
Seeing Natalie Portman returning to reprise her role as Jane Foster, nevertheless wielding Mjolnir, finally getting the treatment this character deserves, was surreal to say the least. I had just started reading Lords of Midgard, the 8th issue of Mighty Thor (2015 - 2018), and had fallen in love already. But I didn't suspect at all that Taika Waititi would pull this card in Thor: Love and Thunder, considering Jane was barely mentioned in Ragnarok. The news about my favorite actress portraying one of my favorite characters coming out of the blue - you can imagine the excitement. Alas, I quickly remembered what the fandom thought of that comic (at least on tumblr) and imagined it now growing tenfold, cuz not everyone in the MCU fandom reads comics but pretty much everyone wants to watch another Thor movie. And yes, many fans weren't ready for this step, still recovering from Sam Wilson getting the shield in Endgame. Which is completely fine. We're not obligated to like everything Marvel throws in our faces, we're allowed to criticize and express our opinion on the internet or wherever. What is not okay is mindlessly hating, and even worse - using false facts to support said opinion.
I have seen some people using the argument that it is one of Marvel's worst selling comics. Which has already been proven wrong by multiple sites, including Comichron, just Google it, as I did myself. I read multiple posts, ones saying how good Jane is doing as Thor in sales, others disproving this, so I checked for myself the numbers at the site mentioned above month by month to be sure. The comic truly had its downfalls as the story progressed but in my opinion it's normal for the 1st issue to have more sales than the 21st. If we compare it to Unworthy Thor, which started running a bit later and followed the now unworthy Odinson, the data shows the latter had more sales. But then again, while Might Thor was at its 17th issue, Unworthy Thor was at its 2nd. Also, they later crossed paths, shared comic issues, it's fair to say they go hand in hand and Jason Aaron, the author, probably doesn't want us to compare them, as they complete and compliment each other's stories. Still I decided to check the comic that made Thor unworthy in the first place - Thor: God of Thunder (2012 - 2014), which seemed to me more "comparable" to Might Thor (2015 - 2018). *I keep putting the years it was being released so as to not be confused with previous Mighty Thor issues, whole Odinson was still Thor, please bear with me* So yes, the numbers were pretty close, but from what I saw, Mighty Thor had the upper hand if we compare first issue to first issue and so on. (In defense of Odinson, we have to take into account that this data is only from the US and does not include digital sales. Also, he's been around since the 50s. We could argue Jane was a breath of fresh air that some Marvel fans were indeed ready for. As a non-American, and also a person without a hint of knowledge in economics I cannot take into account inflation and whatever else has prevented or enabled Americans to get their hands on the comics or has affected prizes through the years. Bear that in mind.) Moreover, from what I saw on Comichron, both comics had much competition - God of thunder was released along with Avengers vs the X-men, the Uncanny X-men, pretty popular at the time, and the Goddess of Thunder faced Civil War 2 and DC Universe Rebirth (yes, DC is in the game too), also dominating with tremendous sales for the longest time. Yet I stick with my original statement - both Thors are valid and shouldn't be put against one another regardless of profit. Because at the end of the day what will matter the most is the story. And boy, what a story it is.
Now, I haven't read the Thor: God of Thunder, but as I was doing research I found one very well written summary and explanation of Thor's arc and his becoming unworthy and I will post a link below, because I honestly feel I wouldn't be doing this comic a favor by describing it without having read it. Which I plan to do in the future, tbh. It's a fantastic prelude to the Mighty Thor (2015 - 2018) that I've come to love. First, I'd like to ask you all to stop hating on the comic without having read it first. It doesn't make any sense and being petty for the sake of being petty won't benefit neither you, nor anyone, really. Now, about the comic itself - the art is magnificent. It's just gorgeous. Mighty Thor isn't , thank all the gods, sexualized, she is pretty buffed and generally looks like a warrior. As it is with the other characters, I dare say. The background truly captures the essence of every world Jane finds herself on. Action scenes are just the right amount and balanced with dialogue well. On a side note, it's pretty funny to read/listen to in your head the Shakespearean English cursive in which Jane talks as Thor. The plot line branches beyond this comic, starting from Thor: God of Thunder and leading to the War of Realms. And it is elaborately built in every issue. You don't know what to expect, yet it makes sense when it happens. Which leads me to the characterizations. My God, what a treat Loki is in this. Clearly, my opinion is kinda biased, since he's my favorite character, but you never know which side he's on. What his motivations are. And it just feels so... Loki. His writing is brilliant. Almost makes me forget what the MCU did to him. Also, he gets some daddy time with Laufey (not as kinky as I make it sound). Frigga/Freyja is just as awesome as in the MCU, even more, at least in the comics she calls Odin out on his shit, who btw is I guess an asshole in every version and universe. Malekith, the main villain, is unbearably despicable, I want to tear every page he is on. He really was mishandled in the Dark World, if you want some true action with the dark elves, you are welcome to enjoy. I saved the best for the end - Jane Foster/ Might Thor. Now, if you think Dr. Foster spends her time boasting about her worthiness and how Odinson is just called Thor, but she is Mighty Thor, you are horribly wrong. She just... does her job. Because the hammer chose her. Because there's no one else to do so. That's it. If you think there's some feminism involved, yes, there sure is, but it certainly isn't the reason Jane became Thor in the first place. It was not the creators going SJW because it's trendy, as such a mindset is honestly offensive to any descent creator with any self respect, but a well thought out story arc, which, I repeat, you have to read the comic to understand. Jane is not at all whiny about the hate she gets in-universe, not only from foes like Odin and who-not, but from Shield and generally people whose asses she's saving. Her having cancer is not something they pulled to provoke sympathy and make her look like a victim - on the contrary, she is a damn hero and a victor. I don't want to give out spoilers, but her being Thor is actually a giant sacrifice that no one really appreciates (both in-universe and in the fandom). She is not Thor to prove she can be, or just to prove "women can be heroes" - she doesn't have to. She is simply needed by the realms and so she does her job, even though she is called a thief, persecuted and generally hated. All that matters is that the hammer finds her worthy - the beauty and simplicity of that fact you will find out, for the last time, if you read the comic.
I'm not making you read the comic or watch Thor: Love and Thunder. I myself don't know what to make of this film yet because there's barely any information about it. I only know it will be based on the comic so that's a reason for my hopes to be up already. On the other hand, since I didn't like Loki's characterization in Ragnarok, I'm not sure what to expect from Taika. There are valid reasons to not like the idea of Jane returning to the MCU as Thor, which you are entitled to. However, reasons such as "why does everything have to be political these days" are not. Because if I had to make a list of everything politically related in the MCU, it would take forever. Steve Rogers kills nazis is the most blatant example. Make of it what you want. But I think we're far enough into the 21st century to realize art and real life are not that separable. It's undeniable that art affects people and that is to say, people everywhere. And they all have different opinions and aren't gonna like everything media is offering to them. And I wish I could simply tell you not to watch the movie but I'm a Marvel fan too and I understand that I can't just take away Thor from you because I want Mighty Thor as well. But none of us can stop Marvel from producing it. So, to quote an image I saw recently, I don't know how to explain to you that you should care about other people. Let the rest of the fandom enjoy what they want to enjoy. Yes, ik I can play around with the tags and avoid posts that unnerve me but, for example, I'm looking up Mighty Thor fanart, which obviously isn't anti-Mighty Thor, yet I get attacked in the comics for anticipating a movie that doesn't even have a full cast yet. Ik I'm not asking for too much when I wish to get the same internet experience (not only tumblr, but also insta, YouTube, Twitter, any site) as the Thor Odison fans, for example. I'm aware I cannot stop all the toxic fans and the trolls but I hope this post has inspired those of you who simply can't envision Jane as Thor, or don't like Natalie Portman in the role, or whatever eles personal preference that doesn't involve political issues and isn't harmful to the community, not to attack every post on your dash with hate. The movie is called LOVE and Thunder, for God's sake. (on a side note, is a franchise that is too afraid to show LGBT characters for more than 1 minute so as to not lose profit from China, THAT politically correct)
Anyway, that was a veeeery long rant, sorry to whoever reads this but, like, please, I put effort into this, hoping this time around I won't be the only positive reviewer of a movie, like I was with Solo: a Star Wars story (yes, I'm still bitter about this), which was boycotted for no apparent reason but was a decent film in reality, and I'm only bringing it up because it has a similar experience to Love and Thunder for getting hate before even being released. I'm not defending a billion dollar company that flopped in box office once, I'm defending the viewer's right to media they are interested in. If you don't like the character, remember - that's your opinion, not a fact that the character sucks. Kudos.
Not very easy to navigate, I advice you to do the research month by month individually for comics you'd like to compare. Also, if you happen to find more reliable data, pls say so in the comments.
Here you have the summary and explanation of the greatness of Thor: God of Thunder, Jesus, I'll go bankrupt if I buy this one too.

Yes, I want to end the sales dispute once and for all, I'm tired of seeing it on my dash. This guy probably explains it better than I did.
