#it's so fucking heartbreaking to go through my dash and it's just post about CN taking down their animated shows 20 times in the row #I would say it feels unreal to read about lost media in 2022 and it's not about 80s animes but cartoons that were still in production #but animators and studios specialising in animation were always fucked over #there are so many shows that are lost media #bc network never literally NEVER cared about them as something more than money machines #there are countless cases of creators wanting to share projects they and their teams worked so fucking hard #but didn't see the light of day bc of fuckery that are copyrights laws focused on avoiding taxes rather than profiting artists #and nowadays artists aren't so anonymous anymore they share their joy of creating on twt or ig or tumblr #and are so so happy to interact with fans #and it is so fucking heartbreaking and soulcrashing to see them real time lost their spirit and passion bc of cruel capitalistic industry #and there are kickstartes and patreons and people going indie on youtube #but it isn't sustainable #they shouldn't be forced to think about new options of getting their art out there every other month #it's sad and sickening and infuriating and terrifying #keeping this ramble in tags bc it isn't well written but I had to get it out #especially with what was happening in recent years #ehhhhh

i will never stop thinking about mary's last letter. how soulcrashing it was. the way that she now knew that it was over, that even though she tried to give it a one last chance not so long ago, she did not suceed and had to move on, even though it hurt- even though it could have been pretty obvious that arthur would not change his ways. the "i was just starting to dream the silliest and softest of dreams" line. it DESTROYS me. she was still dreaming about a kinder world in which they did not have to separate and in which arthur would have choosen some other, less dangerous ways. it's silly because it's unreal, it can't happen, but is it a sweet thought? THE ring. the fact that she still had it somewhere and was thinking about him all this time. and to top that off: "there is a good man within you, arthur, but he is wrestling with a giant", a line so real and so painful because we can hear it during arthur's last ride

But to answer your question about Yvette finding out and coming to the funeral too, it’s important to remember that the Viktor in this AU is really different with the Viktor who died in the main story.

This Viktor is a broken man, a shell of the man he once was. He’s bitter and vengeful, burying the pain and grief inside. So, he won’t be so friendly or cordial if Yvette pops up to the funeral.

He would still let Yvette attend the funeral, but he would be pretty cold to her, especially after what she did in the comic book store.

How to balance things radically.

So I've read recently on writing disabled characters.

And author of the post was like "no, don't give people the cure for all disabilities for a number of reasons".

Well, I have thought for a while, so here is the thing:

If I ever going to write about something like that, I will give my characters choice in a matter how to go about their disability. Either they can use a magical aid which will make their life easier but it doesn't make whatever their disability is to disappear completely.

OR they can get fully cured. °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

But there is a catch.

Of course there is, since nothing is free, right? (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

So process is approximately like this: you go to the temple of a certain goddess, where you are given a dog (in fact, you can go and choose any that strikes your fancy - they have a lot since they also run animal shelters). Don't like dogs? ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯ Sure, here is a kitty! Horse person? We have these ones too. Rabbits? Birds? Reptiles? Sure thing! Allergy ? Not a problem - animals are magically prepared for their new role so you won't get allergic. ( ´ ∀ `)ノ～ ♡

You will be given some time to see if you go well together or not.

When you both get well-adjusted to each other, your next appointment will be in 6-12 months.

Yes, in case if you can't due to healthy issues, another person can do it for you. Like, ideally a family member (by choice or by blood), but friends will also do.

Now, how many people will be able to kill their new fluffy friend in cold blood? I'm sure there will be people who will be able to do this and those who won't. And to be fair, I think most won't.

Sara’s eyes narrowed as she looked about the city. The last thing she remembered was heading back to commission headquarters to look into the inner turmoil. At some point she must have fallen asleep and woke up here; that was the only explanation she could think of for the situation she found herself in.

However, she refused to give into any sort of despair or panic. She would approach this like she did every other problem: with absolute calm and clarity.

First she needed to learn more about this place, and what better way than to ask one of the locals?

“Excuse me,” she asked a woman passing by, trying to be polite despite how her tone could be read as authoritative. “Do you know what, and where this place is, by any chance?”

                   What little light remained in Katsuie’s eyes grew dimmer with each passing second. In front of him was a group of grown men, hooting and hollering in an attempt to attract the creature they sought. Earlier, Katsuie might have shouted alongside them, but now ? After several hours, it had become clear to him that the creature they were hunting didn’t exist. Worse than that, he had a sinking feeling that they were all being tricked into acting foolish. Who was finding entertainment in any of this ? The supposed audience watching this ‘show’, or the crew following them around ? It could have been both.

                   With as many mistakes as Katsuie had made in his life, he had no wish to make yet another one. So he turned to the sole woman beside him. If he remembered correctly, Apollo was also from Spirale. But could he find an ally in her ?

                    ❛❛ I believe there is no value in continuing to follow these men around. Shall we leave them behind and search for a way to escape from this ‘program’ ? ❜❜
