I thank Nora everyday for confirming that Andrew is the older twin before disappearing. Because what about Andrew doesn't scream older? It just makes sense and I can't have people questioning it. Like what do you mean the protective streak doesn't vibe 'older sibling'? I can write down a whole list of reasons but to be concise, here's three. Andrew is the rich twin, he has knives (he has probably chased Aaron around with a knife), and he has assumed the role of protector in Aaron's life. Do I need to explain? ORTUS NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO GIVE AN IMPROMPTU POETRY RECITAL 

and Harrow’s started reciting the Noniad despite the fact that she hates it! aww, goes to show Ortus does mean a lot to her, especially after their little bonding session a couple chapters ago

they summoned the ghost of fucking Matthias Nonius!!!! guess it really is the time to give an impromptu poetry recital

imagine meeting the long-dead guy you wrote an epic fanfic about, Ortus might die again from sheer joy

‘Gideon [...] might have better appreciated the anonymous monster [...] she was a prodigious fighter’ i think its very cool that Harrow’s here watching the non-necromancy dream combat sequence, while Gideon’s off dealing with all the ancient necromancers and their weird dynamics. they’re both very out of their depth

i don’t have a lot to say about this combat other than go the Ninth!, Matthias Nonius is a sick fighter. guess i did get to find out more about him after all. now i want to know how the fuck Matthias Nonius originally died, it better have been old age because i don’t want to meet what/whoever could have taken this guy out

Ok so, Abby is an extreme hypocrite and tries to shape her image to be a hero type. Her presentation would be on pet activism and she would try to get signatures to take down pet corporations with power points to why you would want to help the cause and the problems that institutionalized slavery brings to everyday life and even try to scare the crowd by saying “You could be next!” With examples of people going missing and then being spotted as mindless zombies in the next state over a year later.

WIP Wednesday (4/3) | Guardian Angel Neil AU (Part 148)

Each of them takes turns firing shots at Andrew as quickly as they can. And he’s not let a single one through. There have been twenty-three shots on him so far- he knows because Neil has been counting, loudly, since they began. It’s even though, on the strikers’ end. Neither of them have gotten past him. Kevin is 0 for 13, Gordon 0 for 12.

He watches as Gordon starts to scoop up a ball and starts to change his stance, then suddenly the stadium lights are blinding and the floor feels like liquid under his feet. Andrew blinks his eyes closed hard before squinting them back open. When he does, there’s a shimmery, silver blob covering half his field of vision.

Panic has his heart racing, because what the fuck is that? He blinks several times, trying to get it to go away. Then he realizes what’s happening. A goddamn migraine. Oh joy! He hasn’t had one of these in years. But he remembers how to deal with them.

He needs to lie down. Preferably someplace dark and quiet and where there are no people milling about. Abby’s office would work, if he could talk Wymack into letting him go. But he would never buy it, he’d think Andrew was making it up to get out of practice. (Coach is smart like that. And Andrew’s done it before.)

Maybe he could just walk off the court without a word and seek out one of the couches in the lounge. (He’s done that before, too.) No one would follow him, probably. Except probably Kevin. But it’s still a decent plan.

THWACK. Perhaps, Andrew thinks as the ball smacks against the wall again, he should just give up and be euthanized—

“Andrew!” shouts Kevin. Andrew blinks his eyes open again and sees the striker stalking over, part of him hidden by the aura. “How could you have missed that one? That was slop. I mean... Seth just spoonfed that one to you and you let it by!”

“I didn’t see it,” Andrew mutters truthfully. When Kevin’s expression changes from frustration to concern, Andrew holds both hands out of front of him. “Help, help. Kevin, I’ve gone blind. You have to kick me off the team. Right now!”

Kevin lets out a breath. “What’s really wrong? Are you sick or something?”

“No.” Andrew insists. “I just wasn’t paying attention. Trot over there and get back to it. I’ll let you get even with Gordon.”

“Don’t cheat for me.” Kevin says, sticking a finger into Andrew’s chest.

“What’s the point of being friends with the goalie if he won’t let you win?” Andrew grins. Kevin’s brows furrow. “Fine, fine. We’ll play fair. Go on.”

Kevin turns to go back to the line he and Gordon have been shooting from and Andrew’s vision starts to clear up. He blinks a few times and it's back to normal. Oh. That one was short. Good. Now comes the other bit. Andrew bites down a grimace when his headache ramps up again.

He’d love to press his fingers into his temples, but he’s got a helmet on and with the way these people hate him, taking it off now would be a horrible idea. But… He supposes his head wouldn’t be hurting if he was unconscious… 

No, no. Neil might get stabby about it if someone hits him.

💕 What is your favorite fic that you’ve written? So I’ve said my favourite one (Such A Time As This - the Jewish Anne Boleyn AU) a lot but two other favourites that are recent: The Narnia Horse And His Boy Retelling and Karma (is my family) which is the Grishaverse Inej Gets Revenge On Tante Heleen fic of my heart.

🐇 Do you write for yourself, for others, or both? Honestly it is both - like I am never going to say I am entitled to comments or readers or anything like that and in the end the way I wrangle my brain I need to write my little AUs for myself but also honestly Validation Is So Wonderful And I Save Especially Nice Comments and being able to talk about ideas with friends/getting feedback is really what sparks more of them (I’m actually writing TWW fic again because of this)

🥳 Why did you start writing fanfic? Enjoyed imagining missing scenes and different outcomes and stuff for the media I loved even before I knew what fic was and it just kind of went from there. It’s something I’ve always done, just telling myself stories (often crossing over fandoms - again before I knew what that was) and then I found out other people did that and :D

🦋 Which character is your favorite to write? Listen I’ve had so much fun writing my fictional fandom members with you lately ;). Also Abby Bartlet is SO MUCH FUN. Like, I love her confidence so much and also her stabby.

🦈 Which character is the toughest to write? Hilariously it’s actually the characters most like me that I find the most difficult, which I don’t know how that works either (something to do with my self worth/sense of self?) So it took me until now to actually do a self insert character into my stories (it’s Pippa in the OT3 verse) and I don’t like, write much about Cinderella or say, I have a Persian Jewish Sara Crewe (from A Little Princess) idea and I hesitate on writing it a lot. Also my writing method is really ‘listen I get a whole series of clips in my brain’ (like episodes from a show)/the characters internal monologue as a voiceover so it’s not really me so much as me kind of translating it to words (if that makes any sense?)
