was going to go to Target to get a pair of dress shoes and maybe a blazer for [major academic milestone] tomorrow but I somehow forgot that stores are closed on Easter. so we're wearing Vans to [major event], which means I'm continuing to uphold my longstanding philosophy that any event that I can't wear Vans or Converse to is not an event I want to be at.

and the thing is that this stance started because the worst job I ever had required me to wear a tie and dress shoes every day and that year was not coincidentally the absolute worst my dysphoria ever got, and when I quit that job I was like "I'm never taking a job that makes me feel this awful and untrue to myself again" and since then I've gone through 7 years of grad school without wavering on my anti-dress shoes stance. and I almost wavered today but Easter Sunday came through for me

I’ve been sitting on this idea for months lol, I figured since in my original Zelda story the most recent turn of the cycle would be the events of the NES Zelda games I should straighten out the lore I want for that... which turned into semi-redesigning the two Princess Zeldas of those games, since the official art tends to use the same design for both of them... and THEN figuring out how I could incorporate some other, lesser-known designs from the early days!
