This new image of NGC 2264, also known as the “Christmas Tree Cluster,” shows the shape of a cosmic tree with the glow of stellar lights. NGC 2264 is, in fact, a cluster of young stars — with ages between about one and five million years old — in our Milky Way about 2,500 light-years away from Earth. The stars in NGC 2264 are both smaller and larger than the Sun, ranging from some with less than a tenth the mass of the Sun to others containing about seven solar masses.

Last night a waxing gibbous moon, Aldebaran, Mars and the Pleiades star cluster converged to form a cool triangle in the night sky. This is a very quick, rough edit. Did anyone else see or photograph this event? This was taken with a crop sensor Nikon D7200 and Tamron 28-70mm lens and a standard tripod. A combination of two exposures. Rosette Nebula - NGC 2244 It has been a while since I have taken any new data (that will change soon), but I found an image I took that I had not posted before. All of my previous Rosette Nebula data was taken with the Meade 80mm Triplet, but this was taken with the Radian Raptor 61. I only got 90 min worth of data on the target, and it was more of a test to see what field of view I could get with the raptor. Due to issues with my previous laptop, I was never able to get any more data. . Eclipse was the rough, morally sketchier prototype of what Sun and Moon came to be a few generations later. When Eclipse's project went awry, his ship (Starcluster Seeking Discovery Cruiser, often shortened to SSDC, iteration 404) was evacuated and all evidence of it purged, leaving it to be lost to drift through the vast nothingness of the unfound spaces, waiting for a relief crew that was never coming and no one to remember it even existed to begin with. Sun and Moon's ship started development years later, Eclipse's existence far from anyone's minds: easily replaced when no one recalls that you once filled that void.

When Sun and Moon have their Big Drama Moment with Pilot-Reader, Reader is quick to bond with Eclipse and goof off , joke around, and simply spend time with said android, instead of spending as much time with Sun and Moon as they had BEFORE the Big Drama happened. Sun and Moon are, of course, quite upset that Reader was using this older-brother-they-never-knew-they-had as a rebound someone to confide in, almost as though they've been,, replaced. (Play stupid games win stupid prizes, boys, ya played urselves)

(basically Sun and Moon replaced Eclipse's ship/purpose, and later Eclipse 'replaces' Sun and Moon in their relationship with Reader lol)

Reader and Eclipse: bonding, figuring out how to communicate, dancing, perhaps kissing on one or two occasions, just bestie things Sun and Moon:

A reprocess of my Sadr Region & Crescent Nebula data from last Summer - Sadr is the second brightest star in the constellation Cygnus, second only to Deneb. Like Deneb, it is surrounded by beautiful nebula! With this particular image, I processed it in Astro Pixel Processor by extracting the narrowband color channels - Ha, Oii and Sii (Ha-Oiii Mono) and then combining them to create an image in a simulated SHO, aka "Hubble Palette." Since I am using a color camera, it is not a true SHO image, but since I am using a dual narrow band filter, it is a pretty accurate representation. I have had three clear nights within the last week and I feel truly blessed (and tired) because of it. hi i have a question!! i know only women can wear hijabs, but what are the rules for non-binary or trans people? does it go by sex or gender? and what about intersex people? islam is really interesting to me and i love to learn about it so i just thought I'd ask ^^

this is a point of contention, because transphobic muslims would say that it goes by assigned sex

however, muslims who are accepting of trans and intersex people would tell you that it's all about how you identify and if the hijab is something you want to wear

the transphobic ones are wrong. hijab is meant to be a choice, and wearing it is about if you identify with it
